Okay so chapter 3 is mostly wrapped up and done. Honestly there is so much angst in this one and it's only gonna get worse from here on out. Chapter 4 is gonna be a little calmer but it's more like the calm before the storm. I would honstely love to hear peoples theories if they have any when I finally start posting my fic. I'm getting so excited and I'm loving every minute of finally committing a long time idea to (digital) paper.

but anyway here's the next family for my next gen fic...

The Ophidis Family

It came as quite a shock to the rest of Crime Sorciere when Eric announced that he was leaving the guild to join Fairytail. Now that he was a free man he decided to have a go at being in a fully legal guild. Even if Crime Sorciere had become Fairytail's satellite guild after Jellal and Erza married. Eric had come to the conclusion that it was time to finally put his past behind him and make a future for himself alongside his best friend, and love of his life, Kinana. There were a few upset at learning that the two had eloped together and instead had thrown a surprise party for them to celebrate their union and Eric joining the guild. While Eric never remembered his family name Kinana was more than happy to help him come up with one, what they came up with was more than fitting.

Viper Ophidis

When Viper announced she was changing her name to better reflect her identity, Eric was at first upset that she wouldn't go by the name he and Kinana had picked for her, until she told him that she was naming herself in honour of him. At which point he was a very proud and supportive dad. Much like her friend Lillian, Viper has no magical talent. Many believe she does as she has very good hearing, much like her dad. However, it turned out that was simply an inherited trait and not inherently magical in nature. Viper grew up like many little girls obsessed with mixing potions out of whatever materials she can get her hands on. Unlike most girls though, their parents would only pretend to drink the concoction. Eric was more than happy to neck whatever liquid was thrust into his face, often commenting on tasting notes and ways to improve. Apparently bleach is spicy somehow, who knew. In any regard Viper became a talented chemist and enjoys making various poisons for her dad. She currently holds the record for most explosions created in the guild lab. Yajeh Redfox came in second with Iggy Dragneel and Lillian Redfox in joint third.

pant. pant. the bustling street, the shout of merchants, the birds in spires above their heads singing on a sweet summer day, all of it fell away in the wake of pounding footsteps. there was an ache in his chest, the culmination of dreams, a lifetime’s worth of heartache over a presence he knew in his heart was missing, felt it to his core whenever he touched upon the hilt of his familiar blade, the beautiful green and gold jade where only red and black lined the rest of the weapon. there had to be a reason, and he’d found it when he’d found him. clues had fallen into place, zhen strung together the memories on a knot of red string and the path to niraj became clear once more. he no longer needed the memories, he could feel in his heart that he was close by, the ache of a dozen past lives manifesting in tears that brimmed and fell upon the sight of his friend, standing there at he end of the marketplace, the path clearing as if fate simply knew this meeting was destined.

‘ niraj. ’ zhen cried, on a happy sob, childish relieved laughter as legs threatened to buckle underneath him. gods, my chest hurts. ‘ i found you. ’

there was some truth in the statement, some lie in there as well. kaeya definitely didn’t look the part of a traveller, there with naught but his sword and satchel on person, casual as he offered the stranger one of his fruity skewers, preserved with his refreshing touch of ice. kaeya had always been a disarming sort of person, when it came to both sword and his magnificent wit, but among those who knew of his ruthless nature then it could often come off as disconcerting. whether this person was the actual bandit leader he was looking for, or an another ill - informed traveller was how he responded to kaeya’s innocent quips. it was, after all, sunset. the ne’er - do - wells would be making their appearances soon, and kaeya was determined to track down the culprits before the night was over.
