Janet was a very bad person…
——
Thanks to @wanderfan2000 imma be rewriting the rising action of “The Lonely Planet” ;) unfortunately i don’t think i’ll be inviting anyone to read it because it’s disturbing :L but i don’t feel TOO bad about that since apparently that was the original intent of the episode 🥴
Wander ends up okay. Just takes him a few days to real from that scary encounter ._.

Your WOY Bug AU is absolutely amazing and adorable too! You know, I was thinking about a bug design for Janet, (if she makes an appearance), and I think a love bug would definitely be perfect for her! (Well, technically, she’s a talking, sentient planet, so is her companion, Maurice so…) I guess maybe it could work out or not.
You’ll never know.
Tumblr media
here's some concept art for Janet, she's still a plant tho-
like what I did with Screwball, she's also not a bug and is instead a magic sentient object.
I thought it would be fun to call her Soil Janet (like Planet Janet) because her entire area of soil is pretty much magic! and as you can also see there is a big version and a small version of her (that being a rose like in the show, and the other being a 'lily of the valley')
although didn't turn her into a bug, I played around with the idea of her making bug-like puppets (kinda creepy lol)
now I only wonder what I'll do about Maurice.... hmm
(just noticed I might have spelt her name wrong in the top left corner)

*FULL VIEW IS YOUR FRIEND.*
I drew on my old art program, MS paint today and I decided to draw fanart of my favorite WOY episode, The Lonely Planet!
Wander got captured and is held hostage by Janet once again in the planet’s obsessed shrine of the space traveler. But luckily, Sylvia is on her way to rescue her buddy.
Also, I kind wished I made the BG a little more “obsessive”…but I guess this’ll do for now.

Sophie Okonedo & Julianne Nicholson in Janet Planet (Photo source)
“Sophie Okonedo’s vivacious Regina—the film’s most memorable presence”
“The second chapter signifies the arrival of Regina (Sophie Okonedo, a light), an old friend of Janet’s attempting to restart her life. Regina has spent too many years in the confines of a local theater group she casually refers to as a ‘cult.’ ”
“Then comes Sophie Okenedo, a bubbly friend emerging from a toxic relationship with a thespian commune.”
“…her warm but slightly maddening old friend Regina (Sophie Okonedo, superb), who insists the collective is not a cult but nonetheless is eager to flee from the overbearing influence of Avi, with whom she has been in a relationship.”
A movie featuring a bespectacled Sophie Okonedo escaping a thespian commune? Where does the line for the next viewing form?

My Favourite Episodes with the 5th Doctor:
I'm watching Classic Who for the first time, and I've just finished Seasons 19-21. Here are my favourite episodes with the 5th Doctor:
Black Orchid
While this one is typically disliked, I really enjoyed it. I though it was super fun - who doesn't want to see Cricket and Fancy Dress parties in the 1920's?
Earthshock
On completely the other end of the spectrum, this episode is often considered one of the best.....and for good reason.
Mawdryn Undead
New companion, the Brigadier, rock murder, the Blinovitch Limitation Effect...it's got everything!!
Enlightenment
The first Doctor Who Serial written by a woman! A really exciting story with a cool concept, and a great conclusion to the Black Guardian Trilogy. I just love this one.
The King's Demons
I always enjoy a historical....and there's a sword fight. What's not to love?
The Five Doctors
The Five Doctors. Enough said
Planet of Fire
Five and Turlough....fiveandturloughing. Peri chasing the tiny master around his TARDIS. I love everything about this episode...apart from Peri's infamous opening shot.
Caves of Androzani
It's known as Five's best episode for a reason. And that reason is because it's brilliant!

So here she is. My imagination of young Silver's love of his life. I had so much fun again drawing all those different emotions and designing this character.
Actually those are not the first images I did of her. I made the first sketches back in 2016. I just updated her a little and created a backstory for her ^____^
Her name is Janet Roughley and on the picture she is 19 years old. She grew up in an orphanage for girls, that she left at the age of 16. Since she has always been a talented singer and musician overall, she started to travel around the Aetherium to perform in different bars, taverns etc. to earn her living. And it is in one of those taverns where she meets the then 21 year old John Silver, who is working there as a bartender and waiter.
Oh, and her species is called "cyonid" btw. Yeah, I just made that up XD

Ted Cassidy as Isiah, John Saxon as Dylan Hunt, Janet Margolin as Harper-Smythe, Christopher Cary as Baylok.
The main cast of Planet Earth (1974), Gene Roddenberry's second attempt at a science fiction television series: a man awakened after being in suspended animation for 150 years finds himself on an Earth trying to rebuild itself after a devastating world war.
Like Star Trek's two pilots, The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before, this proposed series had two pilot television movies: Genesis ll (1973) and Planet Earth. And like the Star Trek pilots, these two films had the same trappings but almost completely different casts. The main hero, Dylan Hunt, stayed the same: portrayed by Alex Cord in the first film, and John Saxon in the second.
Unfortunately, neither of these telefilms, nor Roddenberry's other two pilots - Spectre and The Questor Tapes - were able to find any love at any of the three networks, and series were never ordered.
Back in the day, long before the Star Trek films and The Next Generation, a lot of us Trekkies liked to think that Genesis ll and Planet Earth fell into the Star Trek timeline, the world war mentioned maybe being the Eugenics War. As far as I know, that speculation was only that, and these two films were never incorporated into the official Star Trek canon.
