Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! Tron: Legacy has always been one of those style over substance flicks, but that style cannot be denied with those uniquely futuristic visuals and Daft Punk soundtrack. Well, the imagineers for Shangai Disneyland thought that such a movie would make for a great theme park attraction and then management thought that bringing such an attraction to Walt Disney World would also be a good idea. Having ridden Tron Lightcycle / Run about a month ago, I have to agree. Yeah, it’s a short one and slows down a bit too much in that span of time for my liking but with a launch like that, all is forgiven. Not to mention, this ride oozes Tron: Legacy’s signature style so hard in every single aspect of its presentation that I can’t help but be impressed. Lightcycles were such a natural choice for a vehicle too. Helps the experience stand out even more. I know a lot of people are going to and have been made really happy by this wonderfully thrilling coaster and I’m certainly game to enter The Grid again next time I enter the land of tomorrow. P.S. I hope they take it off the Virtual Queue system next time though. It’s certainly effective but it would make it so much easier to ride this thing at night. P.P.S. Did you know that the members of Daft Punk are French cause I didn’t until just now? P.P.P.S. Anyone know why they removed "Power" from the name? It was called "Tron Lightcycle Power Run" in Shanghai. Why did they change it to a "/" in Florida? So it would fit on the sign better? Maybe.

AN ARTIST FOR AN ARTIST 📜
xavier thorpe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count : 1.196
genre : fluff, schoolmates to lovers (?), mutual pining
warnings : bad grammar i think, a few errors [ please ignore ! ]
being raised in a family of artistic vampires was an emotional roller coaster. there was your mother, who had a ridiculous fondness for landscape painting. your father, who enjoyed abstract paintings and portrait drawings. your brother, who was a fan of realism. and, of course, you, who was a mixture of them all.
you were walking around campus, looking for anything interesting to draw or paint. you came to a halt near the archery field and noticed xavier thorpe sitting down with his bow beside him. you turned around and sat down on the nearest chair.
you began drawing him because you found his appearance intriguing. his face shape was... pretty. of course, in your own opinion. your gaze alternates between him and your sketchbook. your fingertips were filthy from smudging the pencil. you were finished in a matter of minutes. you sighed and stood up to return to your dorm.
"oh, who's that?" inquired your roommate, yoko. you flinched and instinctively shut your sketchbook. "uh, no one. it's my oc. original character, i mean..." you said as you sat up in bed. "are you sure? that looks exactly like xavier thorpe. since when was he your 'original character?'" she asks, chuckling.
you sighed and leaned back in your bed. turning to the side "oooh, do you like him? i can set you up with him," she whistles as she walks to her side of the room. "and how will you do that? you're not even close, yoko. i think you don't even talk together," you say, sitting up again, arms crossed across your chest.
"oh shush, [name]. we're not close, but we have this secret society. i hope you understand," she said as she opened her notebook. she takes out a pen and starts writing. she then folds it into an airplane and launches it at you.
you caught the plane and unfolded the paper. It was written there,
"xavier thorpe's phone number — xxx-xxxx-xxx
thank me later, ♡"
you give her a blank look before taking your phone and leaving the room. "stay safe, my lovely [name!]," she exclaims before laughing.
you put your hood on when you noticed it was raining outside. you walked through the halls, holding the paper that yoko had given you as well as your phone. you went around in circles, debating whether or not to text him. a notification appeared as you were about to enter his phone number.
from unknown:
hey, i saw you staring. do we have a problem?
to unknown:
uh
who even r u
fom unknown:
dang you already forgot? seems like you were having a good time staring at me earlier
lol kidding
it's xavier
to unknown:
oh
sorry i stared, didn't know u saw me
from unknown:
how couldn't i? you have a very powerful aura
to unknown:
i do?
from unknown:
yeah
what do you say about meeting up rn? i'm bored
to unknown:
um sure i guess
i have nothing to do anyways
from unknown:
i know
unknown started sharing their location with you.
you ran back to your dorm room, your fingers running through your hair. you rushed through the door, grabbing your sketchbook in haste. "woah, easy [name], are you okay?" yoko asks, but you've already left. "my roomie has a crush. i can't wait to tease her about this," she sighs and laughs.
when you see him waiting for you, you hide in a corner. he was sketching something in his own sketchbook. he had airpods in both of his ears. you can tell he's lost in the music because he kept bopping his head to the beat. it's nice to see him at ease.
you approach him slowly, but he is too preoccupied with drawing. you sit next to him, peering at what he's drawing. he flinched seeing you next to him, then hugged his sketchbook as if it were going to vanish. you both look at each other in shock, but when you see his face, you start laughing.
"why are you laughing?" he inquired, removing one of his airpods and placing it in its case. he flipped the sketchbook over and placed it beside him so you couldn't see it. "your face is hilarious," you continued to laugh.
"is that supposed to be a compliment or not?" you ask, making him scoff. "we only met today, and you're already making fun of me," he said, putting his hand on his chest and acting hurt. you laughed at his antics and looked through his sketchbook. "what did you draw earlier?"
"uh, random stuff. do you want to see my ability?" he asks, his gaze drawn to yours. "sure, bet it's cool."
"oh, it is," he laughs as he takes up his sketchbook. he turns to a page where he drew a spider. he holds his hands above the drawing, and you can see the spider slowly emerge from it. "woah, that's cool. is it real?" you exclaim, your eyes wide with admiration and curiosity. "no, squish it."
you let the spider crawl onto your hands then you squish the spider. the spider vanishes into dust. xavier can't seem to take his gaze away from you as your mouth forms a 'o.'
"say... why were you staring at me earlier? at the archery field?" he asks abruptly, jolting you awake from your daydream. "oh that. um," you fiddle with your fingers, debating whether or not to show him what you drew.
you sighed, lost. you reached for your sketchbook, which was resting on your thighs, and turned to the last page. you look away from him as you hand him your book.
he silently scans the page. you were clearly thinking a lot. 'was he mad that I drew him without his permission?' 'does the drawing look bad? "Am I bad at portrai—'
when he handed you back your book, you snapped out of your thoughts. when you looked at him, he was looking straight ahead. he appeared to have a lot on his mind.
"is it bad?" you wonder nervously. you were on the verge of fleeing, too embarrassed to listen to what he had to say. he gives you a quick glance before returning his attention to the scenery in front of him.
you were about to turn away when you noticed a small smile on his face. "no one's ever drawn me. i figured no one would draw me because I'm the artist. but you did. it's nice seeing my face on your sketchbook. it's nice. really nice," he rambles, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling.
"actually, i've been drawing you as well. i saw you once at Weathervane and you looked... cool. i don't usually leave nevermore, but i came to stop by weathervane every single day just to see you. oh god, that... sounds creepy, sorry," he laughs nervously, avoiding your gaze.
"no, it's fine. you're cool. this is all... so cool," you say, smiling up at the ceiling. "thank you," he mumbles.
"hm? for what?"
"for drawing me."
"And thank you," you say with a smile.
he looks at you, puzzled.
"for drawing me as well."

Roller coasters need to be the next big osor bad boy yknow that. They literally make ur heart race just looking at them sometimes. Huge machines that hide nothing about themselves, with bright colors and lights. Don't even get me started on powered launches. And you "ride" their "hills" and "curves"? 🤨🤨🤨???

which csh albums to listen to in order in my Opinion umm I wrote this for a friend and I’m not gonna reread it LMAO um there’s probably stuff in there that only caters to her
1. START at teens of denial it’s very cool there’s some long stuff and some short songs it’s a nice introduction to csh and it’s just like a very chill but emotional!! destroyed by hippie powers and drunk drivers / killer whales are the most emotional and in my brain I think they’re short and sweet but no they’re 5 and 6 minutes long ermmm that’s funny!! this is actually the album that kinda launched csh into the mainstream and got them on the tonight show with jimmy fallon along with twin fantasy. nice solid rock album.
2. if you want more emotional stuff, twin fantasy (face to face)!! I FUCKING LOOOOOOVE TWIN FANTASY!!!!! it’s very emotional and the end is fucking fantastic it’s like the telling of a story of teenage love that went oh so terribly wrong!! kind of umm yeah it’s really really good my personal favorites are beach life in death and bodys !! bodys is super electric and such a fun track it is so awesome I fuckin love that song!! beach life in death is so emotional and LONG (13 minutes) This album is actually a like redraw of the mirror to mirror 2011 version of this album (THAT I BOUGHT THE VINYL OF!!) that old version of the album is shorter and has shittier production quality but it has far more raw emotion. becuase that album was made while that shit was happening to will and not just to redo the music
3. teens of style umm if you want more cheerful stuff!! it’s super nice I don’t like it personally as much as like the original songs but it’s still great!! teens of style is like a compilation album of some older car seat tracks from monomania and my back is killing me baby!! my favorites are probably strangers, and something soon!! something soon is probably one of my favorite csh songs of all time I won’t lie I kinda prefer the mbikmb version ermmm you could PROBBALY relate to the lyrics it’s a very very good song!! strangers is also a fun Energic song that’s easy to get stuck in your head 😜😜 it’s also a nice way to introduce (prepare) yourself to some of the songs that are on this next album!
4. MONOMANIA. HOLY FUCKING SHIT MONOMANIA. Ummm well this album is a very sad emotional roller coaster. it’s very electric and experimental music wise. this is basically the continuation of twin fantasy (mirror to mirror) I would actually rlly recommend listening to them back to back!! these songs are absolutely fantastic ohh my god misheard lyrics kinda sucks BUT THE MEANING IS GREAT!! my favorites are los borrachos and Maud gone they r fantastic music wise (the drums on Los borrachos R SOOOO FUCKING GOOD) and I actually know maud gone on guitar teehee!! two tracks on here that are absolutely fucking soul crushing are souls and anchorite. some of the first csh songs I listened to!! Ahaha ohh my god 🙁 yeah they r really really really sad souls is like bodys but HEARTBREAKING!!!
6. how to leave town!! not a personal favorite! Really good though! it’s got more electric synth stuff on it and the first track is so fucking long Jesus Christ they did not need to make a SIX MINUTE LONG INTRO?? yeah this album is kinda forgettable but it’s got some real good shit! I really like hey space cadet (who doesn’t it’s absolutely fantastic) and beast monster thing umm itw as hard to choose favoirtes bc I rlly like some of these tracks!! this album is just really relaxing and then all of the sudden you’re sobbing uncontrollably and calling up a therapist dear lord
7. living while starving! kind of like an interlude to the csh albums it’s just a nice short ep with five songs I really like every song on there umm except devil moon and I hate living pls I swear I like them but they’re kinda forgettable !! this album has the best version of oh! starvibg i fucking loove it sm!!!! will’s redone taht song THREE different times but this is the best version I swear 🙏 this ep actually has their second most popular song! it’s only sex! which is really good but im not gonna talk about it 😊😊😊😊
8. nervous young man. THE BEST CSH ALBUM HOOOLY FUCK ITS SO GOOD!!!!!! There is a lot of variety in these tracks and some long ones, some short ones!! My favorites are I wanna sweat and fuck I can’t choose I’m just gonna list off like a ton of songs I like umm so some strange angel, knife in the coffee, big jacket, dreams fall hard, burning man, crows, the gun song (SO GOOD), jerks, and Boxing Day!! the gun Song and Boxing Day are so long (15 minutes each) but oh my god they are so emotional I love them so so so so much umm the reason this album is so far down on the like,, csh path is because IT IS TWOO HOURS LONG!! GOD it’s soo fuvking good though I actually made art based off of I wanna swear and I’m working on a. Dreams fall hard piece it’s soo yum
9. my back is killing me baby!! just a like 47 minute long album of a lot of short and sweet songs this is actually a super old album so the production quality is shitty to say the least! Umm I absolutely love every song off of this one except lawns because it’s soo 😭 unserious hes literally just complaining about picking up garbage?? every song is super upbeat and catchy and always fucking stuck in my head
10. MAKING A DOOR LESS OPEN! this album is really good you just have to be a big csh Fan to like it LMFAO umm it’s very experimental! it’s all electric stuff I really like deadlines hostile and life worth missing! this is very much so. Acquired,, taste but I swear it’s great! deadlines hostile is actually one of the first csh songs I listened to and it’s a great starter I won’t lie
11. twin fantasy (mirror to mirror) umm oops idk why I put this so far down I kinda forgot about it LMAOOO umm well it’s sooo strangles will toledo it’s very soul crushing compared to face to face. face to face feels more hopeful and cheerful but this version is soo sad dude oh my gof!! I actually like these versions of bodys, sober to death and nervous young inhumans more teehee they’re just better! these tracks just feel more personal I guess? like will Toledo is younger and he was making this album because this is what he was feeling at the time, but the newer version is just some really great retellings yk! I love the raw emotion and want to give this album a hug
12. 4 & 3 I put these in their one little group together bc they’re both pretty short and like,, they’re the numbered albums. These aren’t on any streaming services I don’t think besides youtube! And band camp! Soo I recommend 4 before you listen to 3 because 4 is just nice and a. Lot like my back is killing me baby! Some nice catchy stuff my favorite is probably that daniel johnston song idk I haven’t listened to the album in a while,, umm 3 is soo. EIEUGEVATWU that’s one album to cry to! beach funeral and beach fagz are fucjing soul crushing oh my god they are so sad esp the outro parts um don’t look up the lyrics to beach fagz tho and if you do don’t,, don’t ask me idk either man 🙁 3 is my favorite numbered album and I actually listen to it like regularly I fuckin love that album sm
13. BEFORE YOU LISTEN TO 1, 2, AND LITTLE PIECES OF PAPER WITH NO WRITTEN IN THEM LISTEN TO DISJECTA MEMBRA! it’s basically some outtakes of nervous young man and where the outro of the face to face version of famous prophets came from!! the songs on there are really good but I put it so low because it’s so deep in the rabbit hole. this album was only accessible if you bought nervous young man for a certain price on band camp back in 2013, so it’s literally ONLY on YouTube. I really like the song sinner it’s yum and also really sad Ermm DRUNK ON A WORK NIGHT IS ON THIS ALBUM I TJINK THAT SONG IS SOO FUVKING FUNNY!! YOU WERE ON METHBTHE WHOLE NIGHT?,!!,????
14. 1 and 2 these are soo,, what was going on man! um the production is shit because he was recording on a tape recorder LMAOO I like the emotion in these he does an awful lot of screaming. The original version of big jacket from nervous young man actually comes from 1 and that’s pretty cool I guess! I like the song where he goes THE FUCKING COOFFEE HOUSE I don’t remember which one it is umm I need to relistento these,, KID WAR IS ALSO RLLY GOOD
15. little pieces of paper with no written on them. Umm these songs has no written on them for a reason! this album is just basically Will releasing a bunch of experimental tracks he scrapped to the public because they’re still good,, the best song is I CAN TALK WITH MY EYES SHUT and it’s actually,, dare I say one of the best early csh songs DONT TELL ANYONE I SAID THAT THO
16. go to therapy

"We'd have to be careful about it," Cress considered, lingering a moment as the coaster launched the tributes. "But yes, an affiliation could be powerful, if we found the right way to link you two." She felt like a mentor, though whether her focus was Mack or Cain, she wasn't certain. "Let me see what I can do. But she'll have to survive the Bloodbath on her own first." And with the way those carts were moving, circling the cornucopia, rising higher and higher on the track, Cress wasn't sure she would.

All Of Those Voices Movie Review: This documentary on musician Louis Tomlinson is both inspiring and emotional
TIMES OF INDIA
Abhishek Srivastava, TNN, Mar 26, 2023, 12.40 PM ISTCritic's Rating: 3.5/5
Story: 'All of Those Voices' delves into the musical journey of English singer and songwriter Louis Tomlinson, featuring never-before-seen footage that follows his evolution from a member of One Direction to a solo artist. Through this documentary, audiences are given a glimpse of Louis' private life, including the highs of his stardom and the lows of personal tragedy.
Review: 'All of Those Voices' is a documentary that will undoubtedly be loved by die-hard fans of Louis Tomlinson. The film successfully showcases that Louis was always the most famous and coolest member of One Direction. While it does not reveal much about the British singing sensation that is not already known, it excels at bringing out his unknown facets through never-before-seen footage that captures both his pinnacle of stardom and his lowest moments of personal tragedy. The documentary weaves a neatly-crafted storyline that will tug at your heartstrings, evoking both tears and laughter.
The film beautifully chronicles Tomlinson's journey from being a member of One Direction to launching his career as a solo artist. The documentary emblazons both his vulnerabilities and the hard work that enabled him to reach dizzying heights of superstardom. For die-hard fans, it’s an emotional roller coaster that reveals the true essence of Louis Tomlinson, the individual. One noteworthy aspect of the documentary is that it does not focus much on the period when Louis was part of One Direction, instead devoting a significant portion to his solo career.
When the boy band went on an indefinite hiatus in January 2016, it was a challenging time for all members, including Louis. However, it was also the moment when Louis began reflecting deeply on his future career path. Just as he was taking his first steps towards a new phase in his career, tragedy struck when his mother, Johannah Deakin, with whom he shared a close bond, passed away. Another tragedy struck in 2018 when his sister Félicité died in tragic circumstances. These events left him shattered, but he summoned the courage to face life head-on. The documentary portrays these tragedies as part of life without sensationalizing them. The documentary also depicts Louis' trauma when One Direction decided to break up, as well as his subsequent fear of charting a new course.
Louis' hard work soon paid off, helping him take giant strides. His debut album in 2020 brought him back into the spotlight, followed by a global tour that cemented his reputation as one of Britain's most sensational artists. His charm is irresistible, and the documentary does an excellent job of capturing the rise of a man from the depths of his personal tragedies. Louis' success story ticks all the boxes of an underdog tale, as he defied all odds to achieve success. Not many are aware that Louis was often ignored during One Direction's existence because of his no-nonsense approach, making this documentary all the more significant. This is the second documentary after BTS band member J-Hope that covers similar trajectories of immensely popular stars. Charlie Lightening's direction is extremely measured, reflecting his meticulousness in dealing with a subject that will be closely scrutinized by fans. 'All of Those Voices' is a powerful documentary that shows how an individual, through self-discovery, achieved a lot and became an inspiration to many.

Smiler
Ok finally got a design for this menace that I am sticking to. Ive retconned some of my old ideas for my Smiler and went a different route with her. Notes below.
- Smiler is the first of the Alton spirits to ever oppose the park. The Ministry of Joy managed to get ahold of Smiler’s spirit before the park staff and they manipulated it into helping them fulfil their goals.
- Because of this, Smiler’s first encounter with the others was when the MOJ launched their attack on the towers. It took the powers of both Nemesis and Merlin to bring Smiler down.
- Nowadays Smiler has been mostly integrated with the park but there’s still a bit of distrust for it. Nemesis does not trust this pest.
- The strongest magic user in the park. Smiler is OP as all hell. Specialises in optical illusions and sensory manipulation. It’s been banned from marmalising people but still loves to meddle with people.
- Can walk on walls like a 7+ foot spider.
- Hex has to knock her off the walls at least once a week.
- It’s staff all adore Smiler. Rumors are that Smiler’s at least partially brainwashed them. In reality it’s just a very good emotional support coaster.  Its strong magic makes Smiler very good at reading people’s hearts.
- Smiler makes it’s own clothes. It has an entire wardrobe for itself and has made items for staff and friends. Wicker’s Cape was made by Smiler.

Waiting on the solar eclipse... always something going on. Always some biblical action suppose to happen. Always say don't go out or look at it. Well I have looked at it and I have gone out. Maybe thats where all my bad luck is coming from. Like universe punishment. We told ya not to look!! You looked no glasses on nothing! What do you do go out! Your life is like a roller coaster! What am I doing this time. I'm going out i probably won't look at it. The truth is there are more common then what you think. Lunar to not so much as solar which occurs every 18 months. I remember when the planets aligned like 20 years ago. Shit is going to hit the fan!!! Nothing! walking to my car in acme parking lot. Thinking what a fucking disappointment. This solar eclipse something bout 3 red calfs being sacrificed 3 rockets being launched 3 demons names suppose to releasing demons or something. However I watched Ron Wyatt I posted the video awhile ago. I never believed in God. I believed in the universe has power. After watching this video... I was gobsmacked. I'm still a believer in the universe. I wasn't meant to believe in god. When I was young I went to church. Shit happened. Even a God loving woman told me lmao!! Maybe I should look into another deity. I do have a spiritual way about me. So I kinda leaned more to dark arts... so called. But not really. Astrology tarot so on.. a little magic. My life card is strength it has shown through out my entire existence..All the shit in my life. It could be worse. But I suffer. I read in one of my Astrology charts.. I'm here because I jus have this humor.. I can make people laugh at a funeral. Even my trials and tribulations. Tell people what's going on in my life. They can't hold a straight face... I get a synthetic "oh bunny" then a roar in laughter. How many times that check engine light comes on. People think its hilarious.. not that I want sympathy. People ask no matter good or bad. I can't jus say nothing. Sometimes I can't wrap my head around some shit that goes on in my life. My check engine light is like a soap opera . Get it fixed another light one after another. I think we are waiting for it to go into remission.

Finally went through my camera photos from my experience at Dorney Park's first ever Winter Chill Out event last weekend!! It was so cool to see the park closed during the off-season and all the rides being broken down for their off-season maintenance! We got to see a whole bunch of different places including:
Seeing the new trains for Thunderhawk for that ride's 100th anniversary this coming season. They look absolutely fantastic!! I love the colors (first picture)
Got to go into an off-season maintenance building to see a bunch of ride vehicles and stuff including wheel assemblies, cars, vehicles for their newly rethemed set of flying scooters, and it was crazy to see a box with the B&M logo on it lmao (pics 2 thru 5)
We also were shown the thing they use to inspect the tracks of rides like Steel Force, Talon and Hydra! This crazy looking gyroscopic hamster ball on an arm thing that hugs the track of the ride and can be controlled along it for the technicians sitting in the ball to inspect the track (6th pic)
We got to go into a behind the scenes area behind Hydra and Steel Force to get some really cool shots of both (pics 7 and 8). They were also test cycling Steel Force while we were back there, so it was awesome to see it fly through the helix a bunch while we were back there!
It was also just rlly cool to see all the different rides closed down for the winter, with the Wave Swinger, Musik Express and Demon Drop shown here (pics 9 through 11)
And of course we got to see the brand new Iron Menace up close! It may not be the biggest or most dynamic dive coaster ever, but it looks fantastic, both in its own right and in Dorney's skyline! The colors are great and I absolutely cannot wait to see what the whole new Steelyard themed area around it will look like when it's done! (Pic 12)
We also got to take a light on tour of the park's Ghost In The Machine Halloween Haunt attraction! I didn't include any pics of that here, but it's tied in with the story of Iron Menace and was SUPER cool too!
Then lastly we got to go into the electrical room for the park's Intaimin Impulse Coaster, Possessed! (Pics 13 and 14) Just all the electronics and wiring that go into that thing was crazy. Since the ride is launched magnetically, it uses a HUGE amount of power. The guy showing us everything said that when it does the initial launch of 0-70 mph, the ride uses more power in that moment than the entirety of Dorney's attached waterpark COMBINED! And if you know how big Wildwater Kingdom is, that's no small feat lmao
Anyways, that's a sampling of some pics and a general rundown of what I saw at Dorney Park's Winter Chill Out! It was such a cool event and I'm so happy I was able to go! Hopefully Dorney continues to put these on, because I'd love to go to more of them in the future!

Meet the Merch! Check Out the “Many Drops Make a Stream” Extras
Tumblr media
It wouldn’t be a Duck Prints Press pre-order campaign if we weren’t offering some absolutely awesome extras to go with your book purchase! When we open pre-orders for Many Drops Make a Stream by Adrian Harley TOMORROW, we’ll also be offering some merchandise – and you’ll be able to choose to buy a package that includes merch, or you can mix-and-match to get exactly what you want, or you can get just the book, if merch is just really not your thing. (You can preview the campaign deets here).
Wondering who Droplet is and why there are so many animals? This is a good moment for a refresher on the Many Drops Make a Stream blurb!
A memory-stealing cult. The ever-watchful City of Eyes. Making small talk. Join Droplet as she faces all these horrors and more…
Vigilante shapeshifter Droplet has trained her entire life to take down those with more power than scruples, but she still makes mistakes. When a rescue mission goes wrong, a memory-stealing cult of blood mages escapes with kidnapped captives in tow. To save them, Droplet reluctantly teams up with the outgoing, tenacious Azera. Droplet knows better than to trust a human—she made that mistake once, and that person’s betrayal scattered her community across the known world—and she can tell Azera is hiding secrets behind her sunny smile. But if they can’t learn to work together, even Droplet’s own memories could be lost.
Shapeshift main character? A chance to show off lots of fun animal forms? Heck YES that’s the direction we went when planning out the extras!
So what have we got for you?
An enamel pin of Droplet mid-transformation from a tiger to her signature goose form, 2 in x 2 in/5 cm x 5 cm, with glitter in the background color, featuring art by Aceriee (Instagram | Tumblr | Twitter). (Manufactured by Alchemy.)
Goose!Dux, the Droplet books’ custom Dux, as a die-cut sticker approximately 3 in x 3 in/7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. Designed by Alessa Riel. (Printed by Vograce.) “Goose” is Droplet’s favorite form (for good reason!) so when Dux got decked out for this book, of course we designed a Dux-goose.
An art print of the front cover (8 in x 10 in/20.25 cm x 25.5 cm), featuring Roui Cris’s (Tumblr | Twitter | Artstation) gorgeous artwork of Droplet and Azera flying over Sacarus, the City of Eyes. (Printed by PrintKeg.)
Patreon-exclusive extra: a wooden coaster (4 in./10.25 cm circular) engraved with art TO BE REVEALED. (it. might be a goose. just sayin’. there’s a Theme.) The artwork is by Aceriee, and the coasters will be manufactured by E. Conway, who also works with DPP as an editor.
How do you get the Patreon-exclusive extra? Easy! You just have to do two things: 1. Back our Patreon at the $10/month or $25/month level; and 2. Support this campaign by buying at least one of the pre-order offerings.
We’ve also got some merch-related stretch goals – depending how much money the campaign raises, we may also make a bookmark featuring the front cover artwork, an engraved wooden pendant with the Eye of Sacarus (that’s the eye motif featured on the cover!), and a wooden key chain featuring Goose!Droplet. We really hope we’ll be able to make some of this merch, too.
There is only ONE MORE DAY until this pre-order campaign launches on the Duck Prints Press website. Are you excited? Cause we’re hella excited. <3
(btw, in case you’ve been wondering when tomorrow, I expect to make the shop listings live sometime in the AM, EDT, and to make all the related updates to the Pre-Order Page and announcements on our social media shortly thereafter. Also, hi, I’m Claire Houck/unforth, the book’s editor and owner of the Press. I’m handling our marketing for this pre-order campaign! Nice to meet ya. 😀 )

The Skyward Realm was a later addition to my theme park concept (just as fully explorable airborne environments didn't become a thing until relatively recently in the franchise). It obviously draws inspiration from Skyward Sword and the sky islands of Tears of the Kingdom, but you can also meet the Rito here, and elements from a few of the LoZ series' sky-themed dungeons are used for flavor.
Strikingly, the area is built to a much higher elevation than the rest of the park--it sits atop a structure as much as 100 feet tall (which doubles as a show building for a few rides). The edges of the structure are covered in artificial clouds to emphasize the "skyborne" nature of the area, and the buildings are decorated with colorful pinwheels and flags to catch the breeze. (Some of the larger ones are marked on the map with asterisks.) Only a small strip of the area's footprint is at ground level, to contain the entrances and/or exits of the escalators, elevators, and rides that make the Skyward Realm accessible.

Attractions
Ancient Cannon: In order to get from the Surface to the Sky, you could take an elevator or escalator...or you could try out this brief but intense ride, inspired by Twilight Princess. A powerful magnetic launch sends guests shooting up a steep slope to the upper level, where they disembark; the car then reverses gently down the track for the next bunch.
Sailcloth Plunge: By the same token, those looking to return to ground level might take this ride, a simple parachute drop.
Flight Range: Maybe the most technologically sophisticated ride in the park, this one combines arm-mounted vehicles with 3D screen effects and “virtual” bows and arrows so guests can test their archery skills at Revali’s own target-shooting range!
Landing Platform: A meet-and-greet for Rito characters (Revali, Kass, Medli), who actually “soar” in from a nearby tower (via zipline) when they’re ready for the guests!
Wing Ceremony: Echoing Universal’s Dueling Dragons, this relatively gentle suspended coaster features two interweaving tracks and red and blue cars with a Loftwing motif. Part of the track (marked by a dash-dot line) actually extends out over the edge!
Astral Observatory: Officially the highest point in Hyrule, this mysterious tower contains many beautiful star charts, astronomical instruments, and other details to peruse while waiting your turn to peer through one of the telescopes for an unparalleled (and AR-enhanced) view of the kingdom.
Eagus’s Sword Academy: Kids 12 and under receive foam swords and instruction in a variety of sword moves from none other than Eagus, the swordmaster of the Skyloft Knights Academy! Up to four “lessons” (shows) a day.
Shops
8. Oocca Pod Shop: Named for the odd little shop in the City in the Sky in Twilight Princess, this shop offers a variety of kites, gliders, and other airborne toys (but please don’t throw them off the edge of the Realm).
9. Brazen Beak Plumage Boutique: Named after the Rito Village clothing store in Breath of the Wild and providing much the same function here—souvenir clothing and feathered accessories such as headbands, hair clips, cockades, and costume wings.
Eateries
10. The Lumpy Pumpkin: Based on the inn of the same name from Skyward Sword, this buffet restaurant serves home-style food with pumpkin specialties.
11. Light Lunches: Heavy meals won't do for flying creatures, so this counter service restaurant offers a variety of prepackaged salads, fruit bowls, flaky pastries, and fluffy mousse desserts, for adventurers who don't want to be weighed down.
12. Luv & Bertie's Enhanced Elixirs: Another beverage location in the vein of the Potion Hut, this one referencing the potion-making couple from Skyward Sword.
Miscellaneous
The Skyward Realm has no Spirit Train station of its own, but is served by the one for Zora's Domain (marked but not labeled on this map). The train route does pass through a tunnel under the Realm, as shown by the dotted line.

Meta beats Apple to the mixed-reality punch with $499 Quest 3 coming this fall — I’m going to need to see a lot more game footage before I get enthused about this. But if the leap from Quest 2 to 3 is big enough, this could be a big deal.
The 7th Guest VR remake uses 'volumetric video' for 3D FMV scenes — I played the first hour or so of the original 7th Guest on CD, and as a result I’m not even slightly excited at the thought of returning to it today… but I will admit, they’ve done some nice work here.
VR Assassin’s Creed, Stranger Things and Ghostbusters arrive on Meta Quest later this year
'Asgard's Wrath 2' is Meta's most ambitious VR game to date — I played an hour or two of the original Asgard’s Wrath, and my opinion was divided. There were moments where it created those feelings you only get from VR —a game’s sense of scale is completely different when you’re in it. But after I explored a while, it became clear it was less “a VR-first Skyrim” and more “a VR-first, SNES-era Zelda game”. I hope they’ve dramatically expanded it for the sequel.

VW ID Buzz debuts three-row electric Microbus for the US with more power and space — My family briefly had an original bus back in the mid-‘70s, and it was one of my favorite vehicles. As a kid who wanted to disappear into the back of any car and spend the entire drive reading, all those rows of seats were awesome.

Hit cat game 'Stray' is coming to Macs — I may actually give this a try now, ‘cause I love the look and the idea of it.

For the next part of “Rollerswitched!”, I wanted to focus on two coasters with identical (or very similar) layouts. Kingda Ka fits that to a T, as his coaster has a “sibling” in Top Thrill Dragster. But there’s something else about this “role-swap” that makes it different from the Phoenix/Twister pair; I don’t have a TTD personification to “swap” with. This is reflected in his design, as it was moreso of changing the theme of the outfit instead of re-formatting a TTD personification’s outfit into Ka’s. While you might think this means I only have one drawing to showcase this “swap”, we all know that TTD isn’t what it once was….stay tuned for the “Top Thril 2-ified” design!
Click under the “Read More” to learn about this guy’s backstory & overall personality!
Just as visitors of Cedar Point were experiencing a first-of-its-kind 300 ft. roller coaster, the park was already talking with Intamin to develop their next record-breaker. As the park that kickstarted the “coaster wars”, Cedar Point wanted to claim their victory. Meanwhile, Intamin had been developing a new technology for their launch coasters, debuting the hydraulic-powered “Xcelerator” at Knott’s Berry Farm two years later. Even as the park opened a hypercoaster-sized shuttle coaster, all eyes were on the center of the peninsula as a yellow-and-red structure grew and grew. By the end of 2002, it became clear that what was being built was unlike anything that had been seen before. On January 9th, the world was officially introduced to Top Thrill Dragster— the first-ever “strata-coaster”, reaching a height of 420 ft. But not only would this be the world’s tallest coaster, it would reach a record-shattering 120 mph in a matter of 3.8 seconds. Fittingly, the coaster would be themed to a Top Fuel Drag racecar. TTD opened on May 4th, 2003 and instantly became an icon not only for Cedar Point, but for roller coasters overall. However, it soon became apparent that TTD was not the most reliable ride— the hydraulic launch, while responsible for the ride’s popularity, was also responsible for most of its technical issues. Despite this, TTD’s status as a guest favorite meant that Cedar Point was dedicated to making it as reliable as possible.
Top Thrill Dragster is the epitome of the “natural-born-leader”, unafraid to take charge whilst knowing how to best approach each situation that presents itself in front of him. Though filled with an exuberance only matched by his’ coaster’s fast acceleration, TTD has fashioned his image to be a person of sophistication and high intelligence. TTD owns his status as Cedar Point’s leader 24/7, even during moments of downtime (which in all fairness, is a frequent experience for him). TTD is dedicated to making the lives of those close to him better-- he’ll drop everything if it means that a weight will be lifted off someone’s shoulders. TTD’s patience and temper can go a long way, but those who break it are in for a world of hurt. As the third-fastest coaster on earth, TTD’s “launch” power takes him to speeds that no human can match. Additionally, TTD has the power to summon a Top Fuel Drag racecar seemingly out of nowhere; pulling the flags off his gloves, the car reveals itself in a spectacular transformation. TTD is close with the other two “world’s first” coasters at Cedar Point, Magnum-XL200 and Millennium Force; he is also close to his twin sibling Kingda Ka and cousin Xcelerator. But with the coaster’s penchant for mechanical issues, TTD sufferers frequent migraines and other health issues. However, TTD always persists through his pain, no matter how great it is.

Attraction: Castle Drakul
In the very back of All Hallows, the skyline is dominated by a grand Gothic castle. This is the residence of the Count, who rules County Drakul with an iron fist and a grotesque bloodthirst. It's also the site of the park's most elaborate ride—part dark ride, part roller coaster, all terror! Will you survive the Count's wrath? Read on...
Queue: Although the layout of the area allows for plenty of “spillover” into the streets of the village, the queue proper begins at the gates to the castle grounds, a forbidding wrought-iron construction with a blackletter capital “D” worked into the design. Beyond, a bullpen-style queue snakes back and forth within a space defined by thorny hedges, finally leading across a drawbridge to the castle coach yard.
Load: The coach yard is grim and austere. Cars resembling pairs of open-topped black carriages linked together, seating roughly eight people in total, move along a track. Upon boarding, the vehicle heads up a ramp and into the castle itself.
Scene 1: Corridors—Moving slowly at first, the vehicle passes through richly appointed hallways featuring framed portraits of vampire nobility. Elegant music drifts from somewhere up ahead...
Scene 2: Ballroom—Dozens of nobles are dancing to a live orchestra; a mirror illusion reflects the guests in the carriages, but not the dancers! The Count is enthroned on a balcony above, and he rises and bellows “Mortal prey! They must not escape!” A mag-launch in the track activates and the car tears out of the ballroom into...
Scene 3: Garden—Moving at high speed, the vehicle twists and turns around flowerbeds and topiaries. Vampires pop up at the turns, hissing and threatening. The coaster plunges down a bank into a drainage canal, slows down again, and heads “upstream” to re-enter the castle.
Scene 4: Dungeon—This portion of the ride is medium-slow, with the vehicle traveling between rows of grimy cells in which prisoners moan and plea for rescue. Dripping water, a musty smell, and big rats add to the oppressive atmosphere. The car approaches a seemingly unchained inmate who suddenly unfolds, proving to be another vampire. It puts on speed again.
Scene 5: Exterior—The car launches up a short “staircase” to a door in the wall and continues up a slow chain-lift parallel with the wall, “climbing” the castle. More vampires scuttle along the masonry like spiders. At the top of the crenelated wall, the track turns to go over it and the vehicle swoops and corkscrews among the turrets of the castle while flying vampires menace it. Finally, it dives through a hole in the roof...
Scene 6: Confrontation With the Count—The car brakes to a near-halt upon encountering the Count in his private chamber. “You cannot resist my power,” he says, gesturing hypnotically. “Your will is far too—what?!” Another mag launch sends the car rocketing past him out of the room, where it plunges down a grand staircase and through a stone arch to Unload.
Unload: A grotto-like space with a torchlit exit tunnel. It debouches outside the castle grounds, and a convenient sign nearby advertises the Wolf's Head, where such a daring escape might earn the adventurers a drink!

Gift Story
Here is a gift short story for @catboy-von-seckendorff‘s Domestic Witches AU, specifically the Baby Anthony sub-AU. For people who have been following the blog, I am Sandy-anon.
Thanks for breaking my writer’s block, catboy.
Note: The girls are 18-19 when this happens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oktavia sprinted through the witch's labyrinth in search of Mami and Kyoko, following the trail of her waving Anthonies. She mowed through the witch's familiars with a strength born of desperation and launched her blades at the final door to the center of the labyrinth. She leapt through the hole she made and stopped to quickly look around and assess the situation, summoning more blades as she did so.
The bizarre landscape of sand dunes and boardwalk roller coasters was a wreck from battle. The giant woman-like witch with whirling sand for hair was beating the ground like a kid throwing a tantrum. Oktavia could feel her pain and wished to help her but could sense that she was just too far gone to soothe. Her heart broke for her sister witch. Off to Oktavia's left, Kyoko and Mami were sprawled out with limbs in awkward positions, beaten down from battle. Oktavia could feel that Kyoko's magic was strong, but Mami's was murky. But one of Oktavia's Anthonies was desperately siphoning darkness from Mami's Soul Gem like Oktavia did sometimes. Black energy crackled around him but he kept going.
"Anthony, stop!" Oktavia screamed.
He turned his fluffy cotton ball head to look at her, but it was too late. The black energy exploded and a Grief Seed started to form above him. Oktavia screamed and rushed forward, shifting into her true form as she went, hoping to get him away from Kyoko and Mami before they could be trapped in a second labyrinth. She roughly scooped him up in one armored hand and powered herself forward and away as she felt the large spiked ring of the forming Grief Seed condense. The black energy burst forth from between her fingers and a labyrinth formed around her.
How? How was this possible?! Her little Anthony--!
When the unreality settled, Oktavia found herself in what seemed like a small copy of her own labyrinth. Very small. Instead of rows of plush concert hall seats, there were just a ring of various kinds of chairs set in a circle three rows deep. The not-too-distant walls reminded her of the walls of their home, just warped as if viewed from underwater. In the center of the ring of chairs was a miniature copy of her own throne, scaled down to the size of a recliner.
On the throne was a tiny witch. It-- he???-- looked like a miniature imitation of her own armored mermaid form. He was only the size of... maybe a small toddler? His armor had different decorative patterns on it and his different cape's bow was long and yellow instead of her short and pink, but he was definitely very much inspired by her own form.
What the hell was happening? She had heard of familiars maturing into witches but had never seen it happen before. Was that what was happening?
Her transformed familiar was not sitting on his throne as she had at her rebirth. Instead, he was flopping around the seat like a landed fish with a toy sword in his hand. Oktavia felt pity and guilt that she had arrived too late to prevent his transformation. This was her fault. But it was early enough that she should be able to bring him back. Probably. Maybe. Would a familiar be different?
"Anthony, do you understand me?" Oktavia tried carefully.
The transformed Anthony stilled for a moment, then resumed his flopping with more excitement and waving of his arms.
Okay. Was that a yes? What now?
After some thought, she said, "I'm going to pick you up, okay?"
He just kept flopping. Okay.
How would she pick up someone so tiny with her big hands? She had been afraid of hurting Charlotte before. She had managed after awhile but still had some issues with more delicate things. Well... the little witch seemed to be a little bigger than Charlotte's doll form. But he was moving so much. That could make it harder.
"Anthony, can you lay still for me?"
He just kept flopping.
Oktavia sighed. After some thought, she slowly reached forward and carefully broke the arms off the throne. Sides no longer blocked, she carefully brought both hands together from its sides and cupped them to scoop up the little witch. She brought him up to her face to look at him more closely.
"Anthony, do you understand me?"
He flopped excitedly and reached up for her face. His only reply was incomprehensible babble in a very young voice. That might be a no. She sighed and lowered her armored face in disappointment. What to do? How could she bring him back by talking him down if he couldn't understand her?
The little witch reached up with all his might and managed to touch her chin. He gave a little squeal of happiness. The labyrinth wobbled around her and faded like when other witches were talked down. What? What had happened?
They reappeared in the sandy labyrinth just as Kyoko and Mami struck a final dual attack on the first witch. The original labyrinth wobbled around them and disappeared, leaving them in an alley. Mami sighed and retrieved the Grief Seed before looking up at Oktavia.
"How did it go?" Mami asked.
Oktavia looked down at her transformed Anthony. "He did turn into a witch, but he is very weak. I think I talked him down somehow. I don't know how, though. He doesn't seem to understand me."
"Oh?" Kyoko said with interest.
Oktavia looked down at Anthony and tried again. "Do you understand me, Anthony?"
Babble.
She took a deep breath and spoke in the language of witches. "D̶̫̍o̴̩͆ ̷̦̀y̸̫͝o̴̍ͅȗ̴̬ ̵̫̏ù̶͉n̷̘̏d̴̞̄e̶͓̽ŕ̸̝š̴ͅț̶̈ȁ̷̰n̷͎͠d̷͍́ ̷̺̚m̷̹͒e̵̳͝,̸͚͂ ̷̠̌Å̵͔n̴̘̈́t̵̲́h̴̤̾o̵̥̓n̴̘̉y̸̧̍?̵͔̿"
He flailed and squealed. Then he spoke his first word. "M̵̗̤̘̟̒͘å̵̖̼̙m̸̩̜̥̽̂͋͝a̸̤̯̦̬̓."
Oktavia almost dropped him. "What?"
"What? What did he say?" Mami asked.
Oktavia ignored her and stared in shock. "Å̵͔n̴̘̈́t̵̲́h̴̤̾o̵̥̓n̴̘̉y̸̧̍?̵͔̿"
Anthony wiggled and repeated, "M̵̗̤̘̟̒͘å̵̖̼̙m̸̩̜̥̽̂͋͝a̸̤̯̦̬̓!"
Oktavia just stared in silence.
"You're freaking us out, now, Tavi," Kyoko said. "What's happening?"
Oktavia shifted to human form, shrinking down so she was holding him out in front of her by the armpits. He really was the size of not quite a toddler. He giggled and waved his tail forward and back in excitement. His head tilted as though curious. Looking at her closely, Oktavia thought.
"Oktavia," Mami prodded.
"He... he keeps calling me mama," Oktavia said numbly.
"What?" Kyoko said incredulously, the hint of a laugh in her voice.
Oktavia looked up at her. "Mama. He keeps calling me mama."
"Mmmm," Anthony said. They all looked at him. He suddenly shifted into human form and Oktavia found herself holding a baby. "Mmm aaa. Mmmama!" he said with a big smile as he waved his little legs forward and back like he had his tail.
"What the f--" Kyoko started.
Mami smacked her up the back of her head with a scowl. "Little ears!"
Oktavia kept holding up her now-a-baby Anthony and staring at him as her brain struggled to reset itself. "Mama?" she wondered to herself.
"Mmmama!" Anthony said.
"I can't be a mom!" Oktavia shrilled.
"You're Mama to Yuma and Charlotte," Mami reminded her.
"I can't have a baby!" Oktavia specified.
Kyoko's lips quirked into a smirk. "Think you're stuck."
Oktavia whipped her head to glare at her. "You mean we're all stuck! We live together!"
Kyoko's face sobered. "Oh. Right."
Oktavia could feel her face shifting into panic. "Do you know how to take care of a baby?!" she shrilled. She turned on Mami. "Do you?!"
Mami and Kyoko stared at her in blank surprise before looking as panicked as Oktavia felt.
Oktavia raised her voice and continued, "We have nothing for a baby! We can't feed him! We need stuff like... like... oh my god, diapers. And... and... oh my god what do babies need?!"
"Mmmama?" Anthony said uncertainly. His face wavered into being a little scared. His lip quivered and his eyes teared up. "Mama?" he squeaked.
"No shouting!" Mami shouted.
"You're shouting!" Kyoko shouted.
Anthony started to cry.
They all panicked even more. Oktavia's mind flailed around trying to think of what she had seen other people do with babies. She brought him close to her chest, near her right shoulder. He buried his face in her neck and whimpered.
"No... don't cry," she said, struggling to stay quiet and keep the stress out of her voice. "It's okay, Anthony. It's... okay. I'm sorry for scaring you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Please don't cry."
He kept whimpering. Oktavia tried rocking. He settled down some and stayed nestled in her neck.
Oktavia looked back to Kyoko and Mami and panic-whispered, "What do we do?!"
They all looked at each other in desperation for a bit. Then Kyoko perked up.
"Madoka's mom and dad will know what to do!" she said.
Mami turned to her and hissed, "It's two in the morning!"
"Do we have any other options?" Kyoko asked.
Mami pursed her lips and turned to Oktavia. Oktavia kept rocking and considered. After a minute, she whispered, "I really don't see any other option. What if we do something wrong before they get up?"
Mami put her head in her hands, bent over, and heaved a deep breath as she tried to calm herself. Then she stood upright, not any calmer, and said, "Let's get going."
Kyoko sighed and leapt up fire escapes in preparation to hop rooftops. Oktavia hissed, "No!"
"What?" Kyoko asked.
"What if I drop him off a rooftop?!" she asked, frightened.
Kyoko blinked and stared. "Oh."
"I guess... I guess we take the trains," Mami said warily.
Kyoko dropped to the pavement with a sigh. They started walking toward the nearest stop. A few blocks in, Oktavia stopped in her tracks and went still. Mami and Kyoko turned back.
"He... he stopped moving," Oktavia whispered in worry. "What's wrong with him? Is he unconscious? Is he okay?!"
Mami walked around her and peered over her shoulder. "I think he's just asleep. I think."
"Okay. Okay."
Fifteen minutes later, a janitor getting off graveyard shift stared at the tableau of three young women sitting together on the train, one holding a sleeping baby, all of them looking terrified. He couldn't decide whether he wanted to know what was going on with them.
"This is a disaster," one of them suddenly blurted.
He turned to face away and decided that no, he didn't want to know.
