It all began on New Year's Eve. I was chatting with a friend at work, and I mentioned how my love for Metal Gear had been rekindled, bringing back nostalgia and fond memories of the game. Back in 2008, I was deeply involved in the fandom, and from the very beginning, I loved Hal. His character felt so close to me.

During that time, I even wrote a fanfic that I unfortunately lost with PC changes, but I still remember the plot. I used to keep an eye on all the content the voice actors shared, but living in Chile, meeting them seemed like an impossible dream.

However, on January 1st of this year, I decided to gift myself a Cameo from Chris as a Christmas present. I cannot put into words the positive impact this decision had on my life. Hal has always brought positive things into my life: thanks to a friend of my boyfriend, I got to know the Metal Gear saga, and we developed a strong and healthy friendship that has lasted for years.

This year, I connected with Chris and got to know his kind personality.

What the Cameo costs in money is nothing compared to what you receive from him: kindness, genuine concern, he truly puts effort into leaving you with a memory you'll never forget.

This year, I also met David Hayter and was overwhelmed by his kindness and warmth. I managed to get his autograph, which means so much to me. I also met some very significant people within the fandom.

Today, I received Christopher's autograph. Dreams can come true.

I still dream that maybe one day we can meet in person, even if it's just for 5 minutes at a convention. The fact that both of us have the intention is already enough.

Support artists and various forms of artistic expression (because there are many mediums, not just drawing/singing/acting). We are all human, deserving of recognition and love. It's incredible how much happiness this can bring to our hearts, both to the person giving and the person receiving.

Do it.

Without fear.

And chances are, things will turn in your favor. Positivity attracts positivity.

One month after the British journalist and Brazilian Indigenous advocate were killed on the River Itaquaí, three men are in custody: two local fishermen and a third man called Jeferson da Silva Lima.

Federal police initially ruled out the involvement of a more powerful criminal mastermind in a lawless region at the heart of South America’s drug trade, although investigators are examining whether the crime was an ordered assassination.

Whatever the truth, the politician spearheading a senate investigation into the killings claimed Brazil’s far-right president also bore significant blame for having crippled the protection agencies that might have kept the men safe during their trip into the remote Javari Valley region.

“The government is a direct accomplice and participant in the murders of both men,” said Randolfe Rodrigues, an opposition senator from the Amazon state of Amapá.

“The Bolsonaro government’s policy of dismantling and destructuring [Indigenous and environmental safeguards] is directly responsible for the point the Javari Valley has reached.”
