Hi!
I have been following this blog for a while now and I love using it to find new podcasts. I was wondering, if you have time, what you think is the scariest podcast you've listened to or what your favorite horror podcasts might be? Thank you, and I hope you have a great day :)
I'm so glad to have helped you find new shows!
I don't really get scared by horror podcasts (not sure why. It isn't some "I'm tough" thing, I get startled by the toaster, and it's not like I never feel unsettled or concerned or icked out at podcasts, just not scared) so I'm not sure I can give you a good answer on that one, but I'll gladly give you ten of my personal favourites instead:
Alice Isn't Dead: The podcast that got me into podcasts. A truck driver travels the USA looking for her wife, who until recently, she had thought was dead. Along the way she has all manner of strange encounters, and sees a side to the world that few truely comprehend.
Archive 81: A young archivist takes a job at a remote outpost organising and digitising a collection of tapes. On the tapes is a series of interviews and investigations made by a social worker in the 90s as she becomes familiar with a bizzare apartment building. The archivist, naturally, has an increasingly bad time. Each season is part of the same story, but they're all a bit different.
Ghost Wax: Recorded interviews conducted by the last surviving necromancer, and various people who died under seemingly otherworldly circumstances.
Hello From The Hallowoods: Supernatural and cosmic horror. A powerful and dramatic entity visits your nightmares to relay stories of the people (to varying degrees of both human and alive) who inhabit the beautiful and deadly Hallowoods. What start off as individual stories quickly connect to a larger narrative.
Hi Nay: A supernatural horror following a young woman named Mari, who's babaylan (shaman) family background draws her into helping people with various horrific supernatural problems around Toronto. Formatted as phone calls to her mother telling her what's happened.
I Am In Eskew: Often-horrific stories from a man living in something that very much wishes to be a city, and a private investigator who was, in her words, hired to kill a ghost. Many people seem to agree this one is scary.
Janus Descending: A xenoarcheologist and a xenopaleontologist are sent to investigate and sample the ruins of a long-dead alien city, and discover more than they anticipated. The format for this one is really clever: you hear her audio logs first to last, and his last to first, and the story is all the more heartbreaking for it. I'd recommend listening to the supercut.
The Lost Cat Podcast: A man befriends strange entities, loses bits of himself and drinks an awful lot of wine while looking for his cat. Soft and cosmic horror.
The Moon Crown: The shortest on this list, but also one of the most fascinating. A disgraced scribe living in a city of humans, beasts, and other bizzare entities, begins to recount recent happenings, and actions she has a hard time explaining, on broadcast. But the people she's hoping to reach might not be the ones listening.
The Silt Verses: In a modern world where gods are plentiful, both illicit and commercialised, two disciples of an outlawed river god go on a pilgrimage.
Although, maybe some other listeners can help me out and share what scared them?

Soul Marks
Feral: You notice the mark on your hip when you step out of the refresher one morning. Obscured by condensation on the mirror, at first you don't realize the hoop and arc looks like an eye. Something ancient, from one of the desert clans, maybe. It's smooth when you run your fingers over it, but too large to be a birthmark, the flourish too perfect. A data scan reveals that it's a sigil — a mark meant for protection against the Dathomirian gods of death. You don't know why it appeared, or how, but you know in your bones that if you want answers, they're waiting for you on that remote world in the Quelli sector.
Savage: Your training session was brutal, and laughing about the sheer amount of bacta patches the droid thrust at you, battered and bloodied by the work, you didn't notice at first as you patched yourself up that one mark would scar. Even after the bandages were removed, you couldn't make sense of the shifting pattern of flesh, nor the strange, green glow emanating from the numbers raised on your forearm. Nothing healed them. And every day, they changed — ticking down by one, as if counting down a date. Your death, you thought at first, terrified. And later, as the numbers turned to single digits, and you fled the city to the remotest world on the outer rim to hide out in the seediest cantina, the number vanishing as the door opened to dust and the darkness of a starless sky, you felt the shadow fall across you at last: silent, but certain as his gaze alighted on yours, and you knew how wrong you were: not your death, but your destiny.
Maul: Krayiss was never friendly to anyone who was not Sith. Neither of you wanted to be paired with a partner for the job, but expertise is hard to come by, and while he required a guide, you needed an adept. Six rotations in Maul's company never warmed him to conversation, but the scant handful of things you learned of him were intriguing: a lost history, a stolen future, a childhood spent in service to greater ambitions. "It is not my name by birth, either," he told you one gloomy Benduday in the shadow of the library, picking over your findings like the scrolls were treasure while he offered gold in that metered, silky murmur. Strange, how your first impulse was to touch the word at the base of your scalp, hidden beneath your hairline -- a finely scribed line of Paecean revealed by a poorly chosen haircut years before. The word was a name, certainly, but never one you recognized, though the feeling of knowing rang clearly for just a moment before he turned that burning gaze away. And maybe knowing never fades, though providence reveals itself in hidden things, in dark places, in strange company when we least expect it.

Eat, Drink, and Be Faerie
“There’s only one way they won’t be able to take you back,” it hissed, and the hands on her shoulder were digging in, sharp claws digging into her skin and making blood bloom through the fabric of her nightgown.
And she remembered the words she had been told her entire life.
3) Do not eat their food.
For you will never be able to come back.
Her hands were shoveling a pomegranate into her mouth almost before she had finished coming up with the idea.
Or: Fae!Bruce panics upon realizing his first child won't eat anything he gives him, finds another child picking around his faerie ring, and decides "Yeah, I can capitalize on this".
Barbara Gordon had always been interested in the fae.
She knew that it was wrong, that there must have been a reason why everyone around her would blanch whenever she dared to ask about them. But she couldn’t help it. She couldn’t even understand why she shouldn’t she have been interested in them. They were more interesting than humans, that was for sure. They had magic. They could do theoretically anything. They couldn’t tell a lie. She wanted to know everything there was to know about them.
Put simply, she was curious, as kids are wont to be.
But her interest wasn’t truly piqued until the day one of the kids in her village disappeared – Dick Grayson, someone she had never really talked to, but knew of, as you could find that everyone knew of everyone in a place as small as theirs.
Taken, the townsfolk had whispered, hugging their children close.
Traded, she had thought, watching the Graysons go about their days, seemingly unaware of what they had lost, and even less aware of what they had been given.
And, if it were only that, perhaps she would have gone about her day as well. She would grow up to take on her father’s job making sure their village was safe. Or, perhaps, become a librarian or a scribe. Or anything even remotely normal, for that matter.
But fate didn’t have that in store for her.
So, one day, while she had been taking her dad’s lunch to the prison he was guarding (which, really, was just a repurposed house that their only criminal, Zucco, wasn’t allowed to leave), she had come across an old man.
Now, seeing old men wasn’t particularly strange. It happens to pretty much everyone. However, she didn’t recognize the man, and that had never happened before.
Beyond that, he looked normal. Too normal. Perfectly normal. So much so that, despite the strangeness that was her not knowing him, her eyes almost seemed to glaze over him even when they walked step in step.
And yet, he didn’t look all that normal at all. There was something wrong with the man in a way she couldn’t describe. And, as she scrutinized him, she realized why. His face was wrinkled, but that was the only ‘flaw’ that could be seen. There were no age spots, no scars, no hints of the life he should have had before this. Even the wrinkles felt strange somehow. Too deep, cutting through his skin in a way that seemed almost precise.
She realized, with unwavering certainty, that the man beside her was merely a facsimile of a human.
So, despite her years of being told that this could only ever be to her detriment, she found herself asking: “Are you a traveler, Mister?”
“Aren’t we both traveling at the moment?” He asked, turning a relaxed smile onto her. It was disarming. It made her want to relax and look away.
“Perhaps,” she forced herself to say instead, made herself note the evasive way he answered. “I just don’t recognize you.”
He nodded easily. “I’m from out of town.”
“What brings you here?”
“Came to pay someone a little visit,” he said simply.
And she knew she shouldn’t ask, should find a way to leave that the being could not fault for being impolite, but she had never been too great with self-preservation anyways.
Why else would she not scream for help the moment she realized something was wrong?
“Is it Zucco?” She asked, her voice dropping to a whisper.
The fae – because she was sure he was a fae at this point, for anything else would simply lie – considered this for a moment before nodding. “I have unfinished business with him.”
“I see…”
Perhaps that was part of the trade Dick had made? Or, maybe, Zucco had made a deal at some point, he certainly seemed stupid enough to. Really, who commits murder? Stupid.
Her questions answered, they walked the rest of the way in strangely companionable silence. Granted, their companionableness could be attributed to the shortness of said walk, they only had one more turn to go and Babs was quick to rush over and hug her dad the moment she spotted him, but still. Her smile pulled wider than usual as she handed over the basket of food, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet with an energy thrumming under her skin, elated at having talked to the kind of being she had always wanted to get to know.
But then her father’s grip on her slackened somewhat. She drew back.
Her father’s eyes were strange, coasting over the recently arrived fae without really seeming to to concentrate on his face.
She turned to glare at the fae, and the man gave a smile that was almost sheepish, but the glaze didn’t fade from her father’s face. After all, the fae never seemed to fully take its eyes off of the iron sword hanging at her father’s hip.
“May I go inside to speak and Mr. Zucco? It’s a family thing,” the fae asked her father, his hands folded neatly behind himself.
“Are you Other?” Her dad asked, more out of habit than anything. Back when the only crime in the city was otherworldly creatures trying to sneak in and the occasional thief, her dad had worked at the borders, making sure they were secure.
Maybe he should have kept doing that. Maybe he would still have his daughter if he had.
But that was the future. Now, the being laughed lightly and gave its answer: “I don’t believe so, no.”
Her father laughed along, assuming it to be a joke rather than the absolute truth.
And, so, the fae was allowed inside.
When he came out, not that long after, he was holding a potted plant.
She frowned down at it, only just remembering to finish chewing her loaf of bread before asking, “What’s that, Mister?”
The old man smiled. “It’s a pumpkin. Did you know that the word for pumpkin in Italian is Zucca?”
Her father jerked, his eyes clearing, and something akin to horror dawned across his face. He rushed past the being, into the house, yelling for Zucco. Leaving Babs alone with the fae.
She should have been scared.
That could have been her.
But the fae gave her a tiny pat on top of the head in a kind of goodbye, and she couldn’t help the smile that came over her face.
~
It didn’t take long for Babs to sneak into the woods, curiosity curling itself around her neck like a leash, dragging her along the path. She was helpless to stop it. Not that she really wanted to.
Tiny feet picked their way along the trail. It wound itself this way and that, aimless and seemingly trying to keep her away, but Babs was nothing if not stubborn. She had snuck out of the house in the dead of night, a sandwich that she had stolen from her father’s lunch earlier that afternoon stowed away in her pocket in case she needed to use it as an offering. She was not going to give up just because the forest has decided that she must trip over every stray root  that could possibly exist.
And so, eventually, she stumbled upon a clearing. Stumbled in a literal sense, in that she tripped over one final root and landed face-first in the grass. A tiny huff left her as she pushed herself up, and only then did she realize where she was.
It was beautiful. The trees overhead interlocked intricately in a way that allowed no light to come in, but she was still able to see thanks to the small ring in the very center of the clearing. Shiny pebbles were dotted between the flowers and mushrooms, casting a faint glow over the world. She wandered closer the moment she was on her feet, her fingers trailing to touch the tiny flowers cropping up out of the grass, the dirt beneath her feet plush.
And then she reached the edge of the ring. She half expected something to come out of it, for the moonlight to bend and refract and reveal a fae, but nothing came, and she was allowed to examine the rocks more closely. Tiny fingers trailed along the one closest to her, scratching at the surface in an attempt to see just where the shine came from.
“Who –?” A voice began, their tone cold, only for them to stop. Feet came to the edge of the circle, and she took in nice leather shoes. Her eyes slowly trailed upwards, taking in elegant clothes and beautiful silver bangles jingling on their wrists and wings, until she found a face hovering only a foot away from her own. The fae was crouched much in the same way she was, its eyes wide as it looked at her like she was the most interesting thing that could ever exist.
As if it didn’t exist.
“Hello, little one,” he said, much softer now. “What brings you here?”
“Hi Sir,” she said, just to be sure she couldn’t be called impolite for never responding to his greeting. And then she considered the question. She had only half expected anyone to show up, and if they had then she had thought it would be the fae she had met before. “I wanted to meet a fae.”
It raised a perfectly manicured brow, tilting its head to the side. “Oh?”
“Faerie are cool,” she said, feeling a flush begin to creep up her cheeks. She realized she didn’t really know what, exactly, to do from this point onwards. Again, she had not thought this would work. So, she settled for the truth: “I wanted to know if you would tell me more about you guys.”
He seemed to take a minute to consider this.
And then he gasped, clapping his hands together. “I know, how about we make a deal?”
She grimaced, the rules she had been told since birth flickering in her mind’s eye. Particularly, the one in now bolded text that said: ‘6) Do not, under any circumstances, make a deal with them. They will ALWAYS get the upper hand.’ The one that Dick Grayson should have listened to not that long ago, the one that might have been proven to be the most important by this exact faerie’s actions.
“What kind of deal?” She asked, suddenly much warier. It was one thing to simply tell a magical creature you think they’re interesting, it was another thing entirely to actively break one of the five rules (five, because she didn’t count the one about not going into the forest) that they had for interacting with said magical creature’s kind.
“My human is… unwilling to eat fae food,” the fae began, looking surprisingly sheepish as it tugged its hands up closer to its chest. “But it isn’t easy for me to get him any human food, seeing as I do not look particularly ‘normal’...”
Babs frowned, her eyebrows knitting together. “So… you want me to bring Dick food?”
The fae tilted his head to the side. “I… it’s an easy price to pay for the answers you’re looking for, don’t you think?”
She thought this over… the fae seemed desperate. The attitude change made that obvious. She didn’t want to see what would happen if she were to say no – more specifically, she wasn’t all that eager to know what it would do to her home if he didn’t get his way…
And it did benefit her, too…
She nodded slowly and pulled out the sandwich she had brought in case it tried to say that she was being rude for showing up unannounced. It was a little smushed from her fall, but it would do, she thought.
“It’s not much of a meal,” she admitted. “But it’s something.”
The fae blinked once in surprise. Clearly, it hadn’t expected her to have anything on her. And then it smiled a thin-lipped smile that kept his sharp teeth mostly hidden. “I suppose that could work. What question would you like to use as your payment for today’s meal?”
Babs thought this over. “In exchange for this sandwich… and with no promises of future deals…”
Its eyebrow twitched. Clearly, they hadn’t expected her to escape his attempt to trap her in a promise to do this more than once.
“What are your pronouns?”
It was a simple question, but she wanted to see how he would answer. If the fae opted to give a short answer, or an answer that would only lead to more questions to try and tempt her back for future deals, then she would have to swallow her disappointment and go back to a boring life back home.
It blinked at her, before laughing lightly. The air around him seemed to shimmer as his mood lightened noticeably. “I don’t have much of a preference,” it said, shaking his head. “Humans like to fixate on gender a lot more than my kind does. Usually, I hear he/him, they/them, or the occasional it/its. Once, I was called she/her, but I think that man just really didn’t want to accept the fact that he found a ‘man’ attractive. Take your pick.”
She mulled this over. It hadn’t evaded the question in the slightest, had gone into it at much more length than might have been expected, and wasn’t trying to entice her into asking another question.
She hummed thoughtfully. “On that same vein… of ways to address you… may I know what to call you? Because calling you ‘the fae’ in my head doesn’t seem all that polite, and I technically know two fae…”
She waited for the being to tell her she would have to come back tomorrow.
But, to her surprise, it shrugged and answered her without contest: “I’ve taken a liking to being called ‘B’ recently.”
“Nice to meet you, B. I go by Babs. I look forward to our partnership.”
“Me too. See you tomorrow.”
“See you then,” she agreed easily.
~
It became a thing. In the dead of night, she would escape with whatever food she could sneak out. On the first day she had gathered a particularly large offering of bread and jam to make sure it would keep asking her for help, but most of the time she would come bearing a couple of sandwiches or apples.
And, in return, she got to learn everything she’d ever questioned.
She learned that ‘fae’ was just a general classification for a bunch of different types of magical creatures. That those creatures were all split into three different sub-realms.
That he was the ruler of one of those realms, the Night, which housed other creatures like him. Where the people most commonly known as ‘hybrids’ were to be found, where animal features were expected, and where behaviors were always somewhat off because of it. A place of total darkness save for the magic that hung in the air, ready to cling to anything that would take it, that would be trapped in jars like fireflies only for the jars to burst within the day. They were the most open about what they were, for this was where the creatures danced on the edge of animal and not. Their inhuman traits were on display, and – when given proper reason – they were first to go for the throat of those they didn’t like. These were the ones that she had always been told of, who wiped out villages before they could even dream of apologizing for their transgressions.
It told her of the creature that she had seen first. A fae of the In-Between, where dawn and dusk resided. Orange and purple clouds danced around each other, twirling around and painting the sky. The realm was as perfect as it was deadly. Their lands were often found crackling with energy, ready to sweep up the unwary and send them up into those clouds that had been so gorgeous right up until they were reeling back and churning in preparation to crush you into nothing. The fae that came from there were hardened accordingly. She had been warned that, though the one she had met (who he would only ever call ‘A’) was kind and had left long before even B could recall being alive, these were the most dangerous. Not because they were particularly ‘evil’, for all fae could be considered that by mortal standards, but because it was so easy for people to fall for their traps. They looked like humans, and it was natural for humans to give their names to other humans.
And then there were the creatures of the Day. Sprites, as humans often called them. Tiny and quaint, hardly ever reaching the size of even little nine-year-old Babs. Known for the faint shimmer they gave off, the sun that beamed down on them, their houses made out of mushrooms, and the plants that always seemed to flourish under their care. But this was all appearances, and that was where these fae always seemed to excel. They were the ones known for tricking humans into believing they were guardian angels to use them for their own goals, the ones that would give directions that only led you further into the woods.
She learned that time moved differently there. That only a few hours would pass between visits for B. That part of their supposed immortality was due to the fact that their realms’ time passed by so much slower than her own. Sure, they all had longer lifespans than humans, but the difference wasn’t nearly as drastic as humans were led to believe.
Perhaps most interestingly, she learned that humans could become fae. All it would take was eating their food, and they would find themselves transforming, slowly but surely, into something Other. They would be weaker than the average fae, and would be given items to connect them to the human world instead of the mushroom rings that the fae were known for, but, otherwise, they were fundamentally the same.
She would deny until the end of her days that her eyes strayed to the pomegranate tree bearing gorgeous fruits on the edge of the clearing rather often after that night.
~
One day, B told her that she would no longer need to bring food. Dick had, finally, accepted the fae food.
She ignored the lingering jealousy that shouldn’t have been there – the boy had been stolen away, after all – and instead asked about her end of the deal. She had long since run out of questions, but that didn’t stop her from wanting to know more. She could listen to the stories the fae could paint of its world forever, and yet it was never enough. Because she would never see the world it described with her own eyes, because she would never leave the clearing without a sense of longing.
And, perhaps, she thought of the fae as a friend. Maybe she liked it when it would sit her down at the edge of its circle and braid her hair, or when they would play chess (though she never won, something it attributed to her age amongst its promises that one day it was sure she would get one over on him), or when it would ask her about how her day had gone. She didn’t want to lose him.
So, she kept coming back, and it kept telling her every story it knew – and there were a lot of them, she had a strong suspicion that being the ruler of the Night gave B a few perks – and showing her little bits of its magic…
And, unbeknownst to her, she kept racking up debt.
The fae had never told her that anything that came after their original trades were free.
But why would she ever think that her growing obsession with the fae was anything but natural? It had always been there. She had always wanted to know more. The fingers in her hair, twining careful braids and adding delicate flowers, never did anything more than augment what was already there.
~
She didn’t notice her parents frowning at the grass stains on her nightdresses, her mother counting the food she prepared before sending it off with brows furrowed in concentration, the way her father grimaced when looking at the basket that was missing its smallest loaf.
No, she didn’t notice until her parents offered her a piece of jewelry.
A bracelet made of iron.
Yet, it was her neck that felt constricted as she took it in careful hands. The leash that had been leading her into the forest since the first day like an obedient dog pulled tight now that she was no longer able to follow along, and she couldn’t seem to get a breath in. For her parents knew. As much as they claimed that everyone was getting new iron jewelry, she wasn’t dumb. She knew her parents. Now that she was looking, she recognized the expressions playing across their faces. They were scared. For her, and perhaps of her.
But she slipped it on without complaint and headed up to bed early.
Within minutes, she was out the window.
The sun was still sinking on the horizon when she rushed into the woods. Tiny feet picked along the path that had become so familiar to them over the past few months. Shouts echoed behind her as the townsfolk realized she was gone and began to stream into the forest after her. They had already had one child taken this year, they didn’t want to lose another.
They didn’t know that she had been lost for almost as long as Dick had been.
She threw the bracelet off, not even glancing back at it as the ground swallowed the offensive metal whole, too concentrated on rushing her way through the brush.
The fae was already there when she reached the clearing, but it wasn’t greeting her with its usual smile. It took in her harried expression and frowned.
“What’s wrong?” It asked, his hands coming to rest on her shoulders.
She almost broke down crying in relief and leaned heavily into the man’s hold. She couldn’t start sobbing quite yet, though, she still had to explain:
“They know about you,” she said, her head jerking to look as a shout met her ears. It was still far away. The woods were fighting back like they had on the first day she had ventured in, trying to slow whatever progress that wasn’t hers, and the night was creeping in, making it even harder for the townsfolk to see the path working to evade them, but it wouldn’t stop them for long. “They want me to stop seeing you.”
Juices spilled down her chin, but she didn’t care as she tore into it. Her head began to feel light, and her eyes wanted to drift closed, and all she could think about was how she needed to finish this fruit.
But she swayed and fell into B’s arms, and the townsfolk stepped into the clearing to find the fae holding another one of their children. Her head came to rest against his shoulder, her eyes glazing over. The rocks cast too little light, making the red juices dripping from her mouth look, horrifyingly, like blood. The pomegranate slipped from limp fingers.
He grinned victoriously at them as they disappeared.
The fruit fell to the grass with a dull thud.

What It Really Costs To Use AI Medical Scribe
Tumblr media
Is Your Medical Facility Failing To Expand Its Patient Population In Order To Increase Healthcare Services Offered? Do some of your providers find it difficult to manage the workload associated with medical documentation, which prevents them from having a smooth patient flow? Are your providers recording their post-shift hours or are they suffering from clinical burnout as a result of having to complete extra-clinical tasks? You don’t need to worry anymore since you now have a solution in three unassuming yet effective words: AI robot Medical Scribe!
AI medical scribes can record the clinical visit, and concentrate on giving the patient the best treatment possible thanks to telemedicine technologies. They pay attention to the doctor-patient conversation while creating a brief, professionally structured medical note. However, these time-saving, workload-sharing, and revenue-producing AI scribe services cannot be provided for free. And that's why we made the decision to provide you with the necessary arithmetic to enable you to assess the real cost of hiring an AI Medical Scribe.
After a visit, a doctor spends 5–10 minutes on the EMR; this adds up to 2–3 hours of charting every day.
A remote medical scribe saves these priceless hours through real-time documentation, allowing a healthcare professional to easily visit at least three additional patients.
Taking into account the modest $250 average patient billing, your hospital makes an additional $750 per physician every day.
Your AI medical scribe won't set you back more than $300 a day, or $450 per provider per day, whether you pay them a monthly income.
Again, using a basic method, assume that each of your facility's six physicians maintains a remote scribe. In this case, the healthcare centre would earn an additional $2700 every day.
In other words, a single doctor may see up to 15 to 25% more patients in a day, directly adding an extra $125,000–$200,000 in income annually.
AI medical scribes provide accurate, high-quality medical records that aid with billing optimization and assure quicker insurance clearance, improving reimbursements and increasing healthcare income by up to 40%.It is obvious that the clinic or hospital would profit financially from using robot medical scribes. Still, we advise medical professionals and hospital administrations to select appropriate case studies tailored to their requirements. Decide how much you would spend each day on scribing. then examine the average increase in daily income based on the additional patients the provider(s) would encounter. THE KEY SKILLS TO BE A MEDICAL SCRIBE.
We already know that medical scribes are required everywhere where doctors are, which means clinics, hospitals, or even remotely. While error-free documentation is the primary role of this individual – in certain cases, he/she may also schedule appointments or procure lab reports for a doctor to analyze. All in all, the job of a medical scribe is to minimize clerical work for doctors, so that they can focus on improving patient outcomes.
·        Attention to detail  While it is important to gain hands-on experience in medical scribing, the ground rule for all kinds of learning is attention to detail. You may have to understand medical coding and government regulations within no time, so it’s essential to stay alert while you get a grasp of it. It will stand you in good stead in the long run.  ·        The dedication to persevere It may seem like being a medical scribe is pretty simple, but it really isn’t. Being in a private clinic or hospital for long hours can be an excruciating experience, so one needs to be patient and have the willingness to persevere. Also, it is essential that a medical scribe stays calm, since he/she may have to encounter morbid situations, since they deal with doctors and patients all the time, and any eventuality can happen within moments. ·        Being a self-starter  This is a very critical skill, because at times working in a heavy pressure environment means that a medical scribe is unsupervised. That’s why he/she must be self-motivated, so that they can seamlessly carry out the tasks without any hassle. Remember, a medical scribe is responsible for reducing the burden of a physician.  ·        A good understanding of medical terminologies A no-brainer for sure! It is important that medical scribes have a solid understanding of medical terminologies, whether they are related to anatomy, procedure, and diagnosis. In most cases, organizations are on the lookout for those individuals who have done their pre-med or pre-PA, because they understand the processes better. Of course, if you don’t belong to this category, worry not. There are several certification courses that can help you gain understanding of medical terminologies.  ·        Listening and comprehension skills There is nothing more critical than this skill, because a medical scribe has to consistently listen to the information communicated by a doctor and document it without any errors. ·        Computer skills Since most of their role requires them to document information, and with much speed, they must know how to type well and enter data correctly. All in all, computer skills are important for a medical scribe to understand and record information in an accurate manner.

Wanna Work the Night Shift? Try These Remote Jobs. Part 2.
Tumblr media
Read Part 1 here.
Have a regular day job but need the extra income? Try these remote jobs, especially made to work at night:
Overnight Care Advocate
Tumblr media
This role is exactly what it sounds like; you provide support to patients overnight. This could be anything from healthcare issues all the way to handling insurance claims. Care Advocates make about $41,000 a year.
Jobs Hiring Now:
UnitedHealth Group (Apply via careerstaffing.net)
Collective Health (Apply via ventureloop.com)
Not bad for an entry-level job. It’s also great if you’re planning on working in the medical industry in the future.
Medical Scribe
This is going to be the Robin Hood to the doctor’s Batman. You’re kind of going to be like the doctor’s sidekick that writes down whatever they say and then you create and provide concise and accurate medical summaries. This could include patient histories, medical exams, and treatment plans.
All of this is done to allow the doctor to focus on patient care. This is an amazing career if you want to become a doctor or a high-level medical professional in the future, because you get to work directly with medical doctors. Medical Scribes make about $43,000 a year.
You may have gone into a doctor visit if you live in the United States and you notice that they’re just typing on their computer the whole time, they’re barely even making eye contact with you, and that’s because they have to take down all that information, but if the doctor has a Medical Scribe, they can take a lot of that workload off and that allows them to actually pay attention to their patients and work more closely with them.
After Hours Coordinator
Tumblr media
This is a position where you’re going to be working in the medical field. You’re going to be providing what’s known as third-shift support to caregivers and providers. You’ll be making sure that everything runs smoothly during the night shift. This could include taking sick calls, filling staff shortages, dealing with disciplinary issues, and handling emergencies. After Hours Coordinators make about $43,000 a year.
Case Manager
Tumblr media
A case manager works directly with a caregiver and they’re going to offer them education, as well as personalized and emotional support. They’re kind of like a GPS for caregivers to navigate through the healthcare system. Case Managers make about $50,000 a year. This one tends to be more on the mental health side of things, kind of like social work, and you typically are going to have to have a degree for this one.
Jobs Hiring Now:
PHCA (Apply via Glassdoor.com)
Heritage Provider Network, Inc. (Apply via Indeed.com)
Bilingual Telephone Interviewer
Tumblr media
This one is exactly what it sounds like. You are going to be providing bilingual telephone interpretation. Bilingual Interviewers make about $43,000 a year. This one can be especially lucrative for some of the major languages like Spanish, Mandarin, Chinese, Russian, or Arabic. There’s a lot of opportunities out there, especially as the world becomes more of a globalized economy.
Jobs Hiring Now:
Work Institute LLC (Apply via Salary.com)
Gordon Chevrolet (Apply via Linkedin.com)
SSRS (Apply via Salary.com)
Ghost Writer
Tumblr media
Gif courtesy: Bloomberg
There’s a lot of different types of Ghost Writers out there. Ghost Writers capture the voice of a person and are able to write just like they would. A lot of people who write books use Ghost Writers. The Ghost Writer might interview them about certain experiences they had during their life and if it’s a biography or a memoir, for instance, they’ll stay in contact with the person and ask them questions here and there. Then the client would probably review the book and make sure that they like it. But the Ghost Writer does like 95% of the heavy lifting and hard work. There’s also Twitter Ghost Writers; that’s another really common one that’s popping up. For instance, there was this Ghost Writer who made $200,000 last year writing tweets for venture capitalists. Ghost Writers make, on average, about $54,000 a year.
Script Writer
I Created a New Income Stream By Writing YouTube Scripts
Increase your skillset for more earning opportunities
medium.com
Specifically, I’m going to be talking about a YouTube Script Writer. This is another career that I think has a ton of opportunity. I think it’s highly
underrated. There are YouTubers out there making tens of millions of dollars a year and they’re spending a significant amount of time writing their own scripts, and if you can just help them do the research part, or just help them with maybe 50% of the script writing process and save them like five hours a week, that would definitely be worth a full-time salary. There’s this guy George Blackman, for example, who makes really good money; six figures a year, and he’s written scripts for Ali Abdaal, for example. On average, Script Writers make about $89,000 a year, but that’s just Script Writers in general, not necessarily YouTube Script Writers.
Front-End Engineer
Tumblr media
A type of Software Engineer that works on the front end, which is what people see, for instance, on the front end of a website, would be what you see when you look at the website. Front-End Engineers make about $109,000 a year. This one is fantastic. It used to be the absolute best career to go into. It used to be that if you just had a pulse and you knew how to do just the most basic of basic coding, you could get a job. Now, you actually DO have to know your stuff. There’s like an entire community of people who complain about how hard it is to get a job, and it’s honestly because they just don’t know how to do their stuff. The standard of this one was so low, that now that the standard is at a normal, or probably not even at a normal level, yet a lot of people complain about it.
Desktop Administrator
Tumblr media
Image courtesy: Markus Spiske via Pexels
This is someone who’s responsible for managing the computer systems within an organization. Desktop Administrators make about $75,000 a year. This is another one of those IT-related jobs. It’s not quite an entry-level job; it’s a little bit above entry level. You’d probably start off at something like IT Help Desk and then move into this role. It doesn’t require a college degree, doesn’t require that much experience, and it’s relatively easy to get into.

Maximizing Physician Efficiency With the Help Of Robot Virtual Scribes, AKA Physicians Angels
Tumblr media
In today's fast-paced world of healthcare, physicians are often bogged down by administrative tasks such as documentation, coding, and note-taking. These tasks can take up a significant portion of a physician's day, leaving less time for patient care and other critical tasks. Virtual scribes have emerged as a solution to this problem, assisting physicians with administrative tasks and freeing up their time to focus on patient care. However, there's a new development in the field of virtual scribes that may further revolutionize the way physicians work - the robot virtual scribe.
The Role Of Virtual Scribes In Improving Physician Efficiency
Virtual scribes are trained professionals who assist physicians with administrative tasks such as documentation and note-taking. They work remotely and can be accessed via a secure internet connection, which allows them to assist physicians in real-time. By using virtual scribes, physicians can spend more time with their patients and less time on administrative tasks. This not only leads to better patient care, but also reduces physician burnout and improves job satisfaction.
The Advantages Of Robot Virtual Scribes
Robot virtual scribes take virtual scribing to the next level by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms. These robots are capable of performing tasks such as note-taking, data entry, and medical coding with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Robot virtual scribes are available 24/7 and can work on multiple tasks simultaneously, making them an excellent choice for busy medical practices. They also eliminate the need for human scribes, reducing labor costs and increasing efficiency.
Recommended Reading: AI And ML - What Can We Expect In 2023?
Implementing Robot Virtual Scribes In Medical Practices
While the concept of robot virtual scribes may seem futuristic, many medical practices are already implementing this technology. However, it's essential to consider the potential costs and benefits of implementing robot virtual scribes. While robot virtual scribes may be more expensive initially, they can ultimately save medical practices money in the long run by reducing labor costs and improving efficiency. Additionally, they can lead to better patient care by allowing physicians to spend more time with patients.
Real-life examples of medical practices that have implemented robot virtual scribes have reported positive results. For example, a large healthcare system in Florida implemented robot virtual scribes to assist physicians with documentation. The system reported a 45% reduction in documentation time and an increase in physician productivity. The system also noted an improvement in patient satisfaction scores and a decrease in physician burnout.
In conclusion, the integration of AI-powered technology such as robot virtual scribes is a significant advancement in healthcare technology. One such technology is s10.ai, an AI-powered healthcare assistant that provides real-time clinical decision support to physicians. By using s10.ai, physicians can access information on diagnoses, treatments, and drug interactions in real-time, allowing them to make informed decisions quickly. The combination of s10.ai and robot virtual scribes can further maximize physician efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient care. As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, we can expect to see more innovations like s10.ai and robot virtual scribes that will help physicians provide better care to their patients.
