4. Worst album?
I'm so sorry, I don't wanna be one of those people, but Monster
5. Favorite song?

6. Say one nice thing about each member.
Ooh only choosing one thing is hard! I love these guys soo much!
Paul- Only one! Okay, the soul of KISS, there would be no KISS without him
Gene- sweet lovable demon teddy bear!
Peter- energetic crazy idiot (positive)
Ace- baby girl
Eric C- such a sweetie
Vinnie-talented songwriter
Mark- ummm? Filled in the gap between Vinnie and Bruce
Bruce- the loveliest guy on earth
Eric S- friendly and fun
Tommy- loyal, sensible, stepped up when he was needed and has taken shit for that he didn't deserve
7. What do you dislike about each member?
Gene- Can take the obnoxious act too far sometimes.
Paul- Paul, my love, please stop being so critical of what you've done in the past. The Elder is a great album, let it go!
Peter- He was really bitter for a while (seems okay now though, hope that is reality)
Ace- Sorry Ace moots, but I really despise his attitude rn
Eric C- I wish he had been able to conquer his insecurities
Vinnie- a bit pushy in some of the interviews, answering questions that Paul or Gene should have been answering
Mark- yeah, I don't need to go into that
Bruce- too nice
Eric S- I've heard he talks a lot and i don't usually like people who talk a lot, so maybe that
Tommy- he's not Bruce! Sorry Tommy, I know it's not your fault
8. How did you get into KISS?
Sorry to anyone who's heard this story before! When I was 10 or 11 I saw the Crazy Crazy Nights music video on tv, and loved them!

11. Unique thing you have related to KISS?
I don't know if I have anything especially unique. I have two of Paul's guitar picks, from the 1997 and 2015 shows and a copy of the Kiss my ass cd that is signed by Paul, Gene, Bruce and Eric (no they didn't sign it for me, I won it on a radio competition.

Get to Know Me and My Obsession with KISS 🎸
Thanks for the tag @starry-eyed-never-satisfied
1. Who is your favourite member?
Okay. Paul is my first love but sexy Ace is competing with him but god I have to say Paul.
2. Who is your least favourite member?
Everyone saying Mark. I know nothing bout him
3. Best album?
RARO ...I'm assuming studio albums and live albums don't count???
4. Worst album?
I didn't listen to their last two albums and have no intention to do so ATM
5. Favourite song?
THIS IS TOO HARD TO CHOOSE. Guess I gotta say Love Gun Though But I love C'mon and Love Me!
6. Say one nice thing about each member.
Paul- He's the STAR of KISS. I probably wouldn't have gotten into KISS if it weren't for him. Everything I adore and want to be
Gene- I wanna listen to him talk while we share milk and chocolate chip cookies together
Peter- I have a soft spot for him. I think he can be really sweet and cute
Ace- Sexy, trashy, baby girl, sexy girl in hooker boots. Wanna bend over and smack that ass. He and Paul are my bisexual fantasies. BUT SERIOUSLY, The first guitar player that made me go WOW. Never got the hype about lead guitarists before but then I was thinking of 80s rock and 80's rock solos never resonated with me. His solos are iconic, not just shredding/mindless noodling. As someone who never learned how to read music, I think it's amazing he influenced many to learn. I'd love to learn how to play. Not to be in a band but I've always wanted to play a guitar. Also, I'd love to hang out with him. He's funny and bright. I think there's softness to him and I'd like to believe (coming from a fan, of course) that he's a good person. He also reminds me of my ex early 90s era....so I guess I have a soft spot for him
Eric C- I wish I could meet him. If I had to pick one member I could meet it would be him because I know he'd be super sweet
Vinnie- talented songwriter and amazing voice. Gorgeous
Mark- He did his job on Animalize
Bruce- Super sweet. He was the cutie of the group during revenge era ngl. Paul had competition.
Eric S- Seems really funny. got a nice tight body. seems every KISS drummer has a nice bod.
Tommy- Loyal and hard working. I can see why KISS kept him. Honestly he'd the kind of guy you want in your group.
7. What do you dislike about each member?
Gene- Condescending. I can see he has some views on things that I'd butt heads with him on
Paul- Overly critical of others, may come across cold. He scares me. y'all see his posts for new years???? He can come across very hurtful in his choice of words
Peter- Bitter (in the past it seems) and tbh some of the shit I read and heard that unfortunately was allowed to slide (sometimes even passed off as "funny" stories). It's a sensitive topic for me.
Ace- like Peter, awful things said and done that cannot be solely blamed on addiction which I'm very glad he recovered from btw. I'm honestly glad I never put this man on a pedestal and it's not just because "he's human like the rest of us". lol I love him but I'm glad I've been exposed to the bad early on this obsession so I don't have any unrealistic ideas about ppl, you know? I think I need to sleep with him to sort out these feelings lol
Eric C- I don't know that much to comment and feels almost unfair because he was taken away from us much too soon
Vinnie- stop scamming people omg. the insanity and charging ppl for memberships and you haven't released shit???
Mark- don't know about him. can't comment
Bruce- Maybe too nice for his own good.
Eric S- I don't know. Should have created a sex tape with Gene
Tommy- Kinda weird seeing him try to mimic Ace's facial expressions. One thing to imitate solos and his space persona but his mannerisms? I dunno just weird to see someone mimic what Ace's face naturally does? Kissy pouty lips only work for Ace
8. How did you get into KISS?
years ago, just bombarded with their imagery and sound on TV shows
9. Have you been to a concert?
Their last show. Crushing, I know
10. Do you have any merch?
I have a shirt
11. Unique thing you have related to KISS?
None, sadly. Like I have nothing solid if that's what you mean. anything that may have in common? sure but feels too personal to share here
12. Who is/are your favourite lineup?
This is hard because early 90s KISS was TIGHT. but I'll always love the original 4, but sweet Foxy and Brucie is so precious
13. What's your favourite era?
FUCCKKK....see this is hard. I have a big soft spot for Dynasty/Unmasked but I also love DTK and HTH
14. What are your opinions on Tommy and Eric?
They did their job. If they hadn't stepped in I wouldn't have seen KISS final show and for that I am grateful. I enjoyed their participation.
15. A question you would ask the band if you could?
I'd ask if I could suck their dick. That's tough. What haven't they've been asked before? Honestly I got some questions for Ace that's been bugging me and I know I'd never get them answered unless I knew him personally and had a real heart-to-heart conversion. I dunno I can only go off from a fan's perspective about how that'll go
16. What other bands/artists are you into?
Led Zeppelin, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Stromae, used to really like Adam Ant, The Sweet, OLP, Franz Ferdinand, Daft Punk. I listen to all kinds of genres and artists so I like what I like
17. Do you have a KISSona?
Don't have one. I'm assuming like a fursona? lol
18. Who are some of your favourite blogs?
@ladyshandioftheendless @elrohare @silverstarfoxx (thank you for tolerating all my pestering! never hesitate to reach out to me for more Ace goodies!) @notpaulsguitar @ohblackdiamond (though tbh I swear you have answered this lol) @space-frehley-22 @spacefoxy (resident eric carr connoisseur) @speckster (you have crazy ass edits) and same goes for @bangbangyou love your funny memes. the IP address as a response always gets me lol @starry-eyed-never-satisfied (you already did this but adding you here anyway fellow Paulie enjoyer!) There's many more I wish I could just mass tag KISS blogs lol. There are blogs that are no longer active but I am glad they are still around
19. If you could spend a day with one member who would it be?
Hard because I love Paul but he scares me. I think I'd need more than a day to get comfortable with him. I'd love to spend a day with Eric C or Bruce because they seem the nicest. Maybe I'd love to hang with Peter now. Gene, may be fun. He's a good talker. Though it be fun to get one-on-one time with Ace. I'd love a tour of all his tech and then we can compare and just geek out on technology.
20. How would you explain the band to someone who isn't familiar with KISS?
I don't know. Honestly the other people who answered this already gave greats explanations. So many pass judgment on them without giving them a chance. They're a one-of-a-kind experience. There will never be a band like them.

For the character ask meme, can u do kazuya (ofc) and questions 1, 2, and 23?
SORRY I TOOK SO LONG
1. Why do you like or dislike this character?
Fucker came into my life right after The Great Dam Yakuza Era and lemme tell you it was love at first smash trailer's bare tits. He's a also h. ... h. He's h.
Then it was like. if you actually stop and try to take tekken's story seriously and think about him for more than 5 seconds, you realize how much of a tragic figure he is, both in-universe and in a meta way. The first thing we know about him is that his father threw him off a cliff when he was fucking 5 YEARS OLD, his desire for revenge is justified as fuck. Then he becomes a neat subversion of the typical hero-type when he turns into a bigger villain than the one he defeated, but pre-retcon, its the result of a deal he made with the devil because of the fact that his father threw him off that damn cliff and he was about to die, so its unclear just how evil on his own he was because he HAS been altered in some way by an external force (which is still kinda true post-retcon with the devil gene), and that tragedy comes from that grey area, from the "What Could Have Been?". Its not made any better by the fact that this forever unsolved question is supported by the entire character of jun (and angel), theres the tease that THERE IS something to save in kazuya, but that failed. More tragedy. And his T2 theme, "emotionless passion", is a beautiful piece of music thats just dripping with melancholy. Then he becomes tragic in a more meta way, as it becomes obvious with each new installment that hes a very tricky character to handle so he is always relegated to the bench, never the focus, he has to make way for new characters to grab the players' attention, new relatives. He's sooo interesting and secretly complex and his hair is so stupid
He's also hot and handsome as fuck.
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
I LOVE THAT HE SMILES A LOT yeah I know its more of an evil smirk but idk its charming. I also love how he flashes his red eye for dramatic moments, making good use of that cool edgy heterochromia. The whole sneakers collection thing is fucking peak, this is how you humanize a character, I am SO glad they brought it back. The whole sequence of him finally killing heihachi in T7 was the best fucking part of this game. He canonically pays a robot 25$ a month.
23. Favorite picture of this character?
I spend hours trying to pick just one fuck this youre getting all 10

Dickinson's best movie of this era is reputed to be John Boorman's cult classic Point Blank (1967), a crime drama with Lee Marvin as a criminal betrayed by his wife and best friend and out for revenge. The film epitomized the stark urban mood of the period, and its reputation has grown through the years.[12]
Westerns continued to be a part of her work in the late 1960s, when she starred in The Last Challenge opposite Glenn Ford, in Young Billy Young with Robert Mitchum, and Sam Whiskey, where she gave rising star Burt Reynolds his first on-screen kiss.
In 1971, she played a lascivious substitute high-school teacher in the dark comedy Pretty Maids All in a Row which also starred Rock Hudson and Telly Savalas, for director Roger Vadim and writer-producer Gene Roddenberry. In the film, her character seduces a sexually inexperienced student, portrayed by John David Carson, against the backdrop of a series of murders of female students at the same high school. Pretty Maids All In A Row drew hostile critical reviews, and was a box-office failure.[13]

I have a massive pic collection of Gene Simmons from over the decades of KISS so here's PT. 1/? Of my favorites
Tumblr media
It's that side eyed glance that gets me here. That expression just screams "wait until you see the things I want to do to you" if I'm gonna be honest
Tumblr media
Just look at the joy on his face. All of their faces for that matter.
Tumblr media
It's that intense almost primal look he has to his eyes. Just look at him. Can you imagine a primal predator/prey relationship with him? The intensity that would be there from wondering "what's he going to do next" would be.....uuugh....I need to stop before I get started
Tumblr media
Okay, so there's going to be a lot for this one. First off, shoutout to @thayerslayer for using this pic in the moodboard I requested last week. When I first came across this pic, it brought THE BIGGEST smile possible to my face. It's definitely a go to and pick me up on bad days.
Secondly, just look at this loveable dork! He's always so serious most of the time in his pics, but this one shows us that glimpse of what happens behind the closed doors of the dressing rooms. Usually when we see Gene, he's in business mode or Rockstar mode, but here we get to see that funny side he has.
Thirdly, tha glimpse of the chest hair. Definitely in the perfect spot for a good night of cuddling. The perfect pillow...
Tumblr media
Do I have to explain this one? Much like @geokai said, "he's just so pretty in this one". I mean come on.....this pic of him is definitely Mag cover worthy. Again....it's his intense stare. Like....he could literally fuck you with just his eyes with that stare he's got 🥵
Tumblr media
Those thighs though 👀 he could smother me in them. Am I being too much? Probably....but you know what? I'm not sorry 😂😂 but seriously....I could suffocate in his thighs while--I'M STOPPING MYSELF RIGHT THERE....I'M TRYING TO STAY PG-13 HERE. But is The God of Thunder and Rock and Roll really PG-13???? Gene the Demon? PG-13? I make myself laugh.
Wow this really got derailed....what was I saying? Oh yeah, those thighs. The leather. And plus....it's from Revenge. I've said it a million times I'll say it another million, Revenge Era KISS will always be the best era

After some research, I’ve decided what members of KISS have ass, and what members of KISS do not have ass.
Paul: has a fat ass, sometimes it’s a lil flat (in the 80s it just went away for a little bit but it eventually came back) overall it’s nice
Gene: good thighs on the ol’ demon but no ass at ALL most of the time. Revenge era Gene has a nice looking ass, but then it went away as soon as he put the makeup on again?
Ace: nothin
Peter: nothin again (but, apparently a huge wiener so that’s something)
Eric Carr: the fattest ass known to man. Just a huge fucking dumper. Is it weird to talk about him like this lmao
Vinnie: I swear I’ve seen pics of him with a decent butt. No I don’t remember what pics they were but just trust me. It wasn’t like, an Eric Carr level ass but I did think “huh, I didn’t expect him to have that back there” it’s not crazy but it’s there
Mark St John: no
Bruce: he’s flatter than me which is saying something
Eric Singer: after having a drummer with a fat dump truck ass they had to hire someone with nothing
Tommy: honestly.. its not bad. Probably the best lead guitar ass the band has had (unless you count those pics of Vinnie’s ass that I swear I have seen)

JACOBIN FICTION CONVENTION MEETING 7: SCARAMOUCHE (1921)
Tumblr media
Hello, Citizens, and welcome to the seventh meeting of our lovely Convention!
I deeply appreciate your wishes for my speedy recovery and I assure you that I’m right as rain.
So, with that out of the way, let us begin.
1. Introduction
“Scaramouche” is a historical fiction novel written by Rafael Sabatini, who might be familiar to some of you via works like “Captain Blood”, which was among my favorite novel series when I was growing up as I’ve always loved (and still love) me a good swashbuckling story and I never quite grew out of these tastes in literature.
In the case of this novel, it never was a blip on my radar when I was a kid but my renewed interest in the French Revolution and my research of topics for future reviews led me to this story. Apparently there’s a sequel and I might review it in the future.
I found the ebook readily available in English on Project Gutenberg so it’s pretty much in public domain now.
I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that there’s a swashbuckling novel set in Frev - the setting is like a perfect fertile soil for external and internal conflicts, adventures and drama, so it was only a matter of time before someone came up with an adventure novel in this setting.
That being said, at first I had quite a few fears that this book would be just another propaganda piece, especially since the author was technically Anglophone.
Did my fears come true? Let’s find out.
2. The Summary
The story’s protagonist is one André-Louis Moreau - a ward and godson to a Breton nobleman and a lawyer by education who swears revenge on a Marquis who kills his friend in a duel.
To escape the gallows after landing himself in hot water for igniting the fire of revolution in Rennes and Nantes, André-Louis joins a troupe of traveling actors and performs as a character called Scaramouche, hence the title.
3. The Story
Like I said, I have a soft spot for swashbuckling novels so I actually quite enjoyed reading the book. And, on a pleasantly surprising note, the revolution is NOT demonized. If anything, the protagonist actually becomes an idealistic republican by the end, which is a really uncommon narrative choice in Frev media.
The narrative clearly portrays the nobility as too privileged and corrupt and the people are in the right - at least, this is what the protagonist understands during his arc.
There’s also not that much Thermidorian bullshit, at least no popular stereotypes, which I really appreciate.
That being said, I do have three main issues with the story.
Firstly, sometimes there’s too much filler and it feels like the narrative is barely dragging along, which got tiresome at times.
Secondly, I didn’t like the romantic subplot between André and the niece of his godfather, Aline. For context, the two were childhood playmates and grew up referring to each other as cousins, only to fall in love as adults.
Maybe it’s just me, but I find romance between family members (no matter how honorary) gross even if there are no shared genes involved. I know cousin marriages were more common in the past but personally I think the novel would’ve benefited from Aline and André only sharing a platonic bond and familial love.
(Spoiler alert!)
Thirdly, I highly doubt the “I’m your father” twist was necessary here as I usually dislike such plot points because they’re hard to do right.
Here there was no proper building up to the revelation, at least in my opinion, and the twist itself can (and most likely will) seem predictable to modern audiences.
However, it was resolved in a fairly realistic way. Marquis de la Tour and André don’t immediately reconcile just because they’re father and son but André calls off his revenge quest, grants the Marquis a safe passage out of the country and doesn’t want to see him again, which is understandable considering their prior enmity.
On that note, let’s take a closer look at the characters.
4. The Characters
Right off the bat, the biggest issue the modern readers might have is that the characters are too “black and white”. In the era of “grey morality” and complex characters, these archetypes might come off as done to death and boring but, other than that, the characters were mostly easy to empathize with.
Personally, I didn’t like André himself in the beginning but he grew on me.
He starts off as a stoic almost to the point of coldness, a cynic and a borderline nihilist who believes fighting against the noble class is futile and there’s no point in trying to improve the country.
But when his idealistic best friend is killed, André vows to take the Marquis down by using the volatile revolutionary climate to his advantage. Slowly, André too becomes a revolutionary and an idealist, which is admittedly rare as usually people in stories become cynical by the end.
Seeing this character ark but played in reverse felt quite refreshing to me so even though at times André’s sarcasm and stoic attitude made him insufferable, I think he is pretty well-written and fleshed out as a protagonist.
Next is Aline, and unfortunately she is underdeveloped in the novel, more so than a female lead should be. She is ambitious, which makes her consider marrying the Marquis, prejudiced against actors due to her upbringing and in general is a typical noble ingenue.
Her and André are playfully witty at times and verbally cruel to each other at others and, unfortunately, they suffer from the “misunderstanding” trope which makes them unable to talk things out. I always find this trope annoying and, coupled with prejudice and not being fleshed out enough, it played into my apathy for Aline as a character.
Then there’s Marquis de la Tour, the typical privileged corrupt noble. He loves women, is a master of fencing and has no heart. André even calls him the embodiment of sin various times.
I know despicable people can and do exist, but here it seemed like he was made a bit too evil, to the point of being simply cartoonish and hard to perceive as a threat or, for that matter, take seriously.
At least he wasn’t threatening for me personally as a character and was more amusing than anything else.
Interestingly enough, historical figures don’t feature much in the story but we do get cameos of Marat, Danton, Robespierre and Desmoulins, as well as Mirabeau.
Mirabeau is called a hypocrite by the author but the other four, surprisingly, aren’t portrayed as evil villains. Marat is even called a philanthropist and his pamphlets inspire André! How rare is that, Citizens?!
Anyway, let’s continue.
5. The Setting
Although at times the text is overloaded with descriptions, all of them were vivid enough for me to imagine myself in the story with the characters.
Sabatini sure knows how to convey the images of villages, cities, nature, inns, etc in an exciting and engaging manner. I just wish that the descriptions were a bit shorter.
6. The Writing Style
Seeing as the novel was published in 1921 and I’m pretty good at English, I didn’t have many problems with reading but there were some outdated grammatical structures and vocabulary so be prepared.
Besides, in the version I read didn’t have translations of French and Latin phrases that occasionally pop up in the text, which was a bit annoying but not that much as I could understand the context of the phrases and therefore figure out what they mean more or less.
In general though, despite occasional overload of descriptions and the aforementioned grievances I have with the text, the writing style is engaging, very easy to understand and not too complex.
7. The Conclusion
In short, I can definitely recommend this novel to anyone who loves good swashbuckling stories and hates propaganda. Not the most original story but enjoyable and a good read regardless.
With that, I announce the end of the meeting. Stay tuned for updates and stay safe, Citizens!
Love,
- Citizen Green Pixel

Alone
Dannymay 12,021, Human Era, ao3
Vlad Masters was not a humble man. He knew this, the public knew this, Daniel knew this. It took a great deal of struggle for Vlad to get to where he was today, and he would not underestimate just how great he had become. He was intelligent, powerful, wealthy, and skillful. Yet, even with all his advantages in life, Vlad still lacked what he actually wanted. He was alone, in life, and no cat, nor hologram could fix that.
Daniel’s frequent visits to a very particular ghost, however, might be able to. After all, there was no being in existence that could possibly hold wisdom he did not other than the Master of Time, so who better to seek audience with in order to find his solution?
Vlad approached the Citidel of time, shaped like a grandfather clock both surrounded by and fused together with giant Clockwork gears. He could feel the seconds ticing by faster and slower, as though pulled and swirled in currents, when he passed the gears by. Alighting upon the stairs to the entrance, Vlad knocked firmly and did his best not to roll his eyes at the door opening itself. Dramatics and gravitas appeared to be baked into ectoplasm and powerful ghosts could be as theatrical as they so wished. Vlad floated inward, allowing the almost gravity of an incredibly powerful ghostly core draw him to where the Master of Time wanted him.
A room filled with the ever present cacophany of ticking clocks and mirrors framed by giant gears was where Vlad stopped, though no one was visibly present when the tug he’d been following went slack. After a moment that felt like an hour, Vlad cleared his throat. “I seek audience with the Master of Time, for advise on how I have… on where I have gone wrong in life. Advice to show me how I have ended up so alone despite all my efforts.” an unfamiliar, ancient being of unfathomable power was not what answered him, but his own voice.
“I’m tellling you, Jack, it won’t work,” said a younger vlad, grumpy and niave, in the surface of a mirror. The moment everything went downhill played out for him and Vlad felt frozen in place. But when Jack bellowed ‘BONZAI’ the image split as though the mirror had cracked. Vlad moved away when the green arcs laced the proto-portal; didn’t stand in front of it at all; set up blast shielding; jumped away from it when Jack shouted.
Another mirror caught Vlad’s eye, this one showing him in the hospital, the familiar sight of his ginger therapist validating his irritation that Jack and Maddie hadn’t even visited. The view fractured again, and he was on the phone. “Maddie, has no one given you the address of my hospital,” he asked in one, while in another Vlad sighed as he spoke into the phone, “Caroline I… no, you’re right, I don’t think I’m ok. I’m terrified and I think having my sister with me would actually do wonders for something.”
Another reflection showed Vlad welcoming the Fentons to his home, his passive ectolocation raising the hairs all over his body with a light electrical current. The reflection fractured, and he was sending out a light pulse of energy that swept imperceptively over the family in front of him, pinging Daniel as a fellow half ghost. Another fracture showed him in the hallway with Daniel. “What are you doing in my mansion, fool? I’d think all you ghosts would know better by now than to pester me about being alive and not at once.”
One mirror simply showed Vlad all the interactions wit Dnaiel he’d had but versions of those interactions where he’d acted differently, abandoned his revenge on Jack or even simply postponed them to focus on winning the favor of Daniel and Maddeline. Vlad watched himself integrate into the Fenton family, clearly happy.
The mirrors went dark, reflecting only what was directly in front of them, save for the largest one in the center of it all. It showed Vlad creating his attempted clones of Daniel, showed him reaching Danielle, and his heart and core ached as he watched this other him going down another path use his own midmorph gene sample to stabilize the clones, making them homunculi, yes, but also his children. They were all healthy after a simple set of trips to the Infinite Realms, where the ambient ectoplasm helped to energize and stabilize them along with his CRSPR tampering. He had, all of a sudden, a family again.
Vlad felt his limbs return to his control, like cut strings on a marionette, and in the blink between him rubbing the tears out of his eyes, there was a being there. Blue skinned like him, with red sclera and near indiscernible slightly lighter red irises, adorned in 7 different clocks that Vlad could count, not including the one in their chest, dressed in purple and holding a staff. Vlad was usually one to critique the appearance of others, but at the moment all he could truly focus on was that this being that shifted between child, adult, and bearded elder, was the Master of Time, and had certainly answered his question. That simply left one more.
“Will you let me go back to fix what I’ve broken?”
They stared at him, twisting the dial on their clock-tipped staff, for what might as well have been an eternity. “Considering how your interactions with Daniel have shaped the timeline… that depends on when you wish for me to take you back to.”
Vlad considered his options, considered the effect he’d have on everything if he went back too far, not one for rash decisions. And so, finally, he chose.
“That, Vladimir Damien Masters Plasmius, is acceptable. Time Out.” The sensation that came over him was much like teleporting, but in a direction that Vlad was unable to process. When he opened his eyes, he was in his lab, staring at the cloning pods in front of him, all still full with four homunculi in them, waiting for his latest attempt at stabilizing them. He would not be alone again.

Eastwood
So I watched all the westerns by Eastwood. Below you’ll find my list of what I’d say are his best to not necessarily worst just not great. Keep in mind that this list is just my opinion and yours very well may differ and hey that’s great. Also keep in mind there will be spoilers but to be fair the majority of these movies are older than me. I would also like to point out that I didn’t view Rawhide as I really didn’t seem like something I’d like. The list is as best as I can tell are all of his westerns. Some are kind of iffy as I don’t consider them a western.
http://most-wanted-western-movies.com/clint-eastwood-westerns/
1.”Unforgiven” 1992
My original pick was going to be “For a Few dollars more”. I re-watched Unforgiven again and have decided that Unforgiven is his best western. Made in 1992. It features Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris. There might even be more stars but those are the ones that stood out to me. The plot basically goes like this. William Munny a ruthless killer back in the day settles down with a woman who changes his life. He gave up his killer ways. The wife is already dead when the movie starts and Munny stays on the good path for lack of better phrasing. I don’t want to spoil to much more but needless to say a large bounty put on some ruffians leads to some nice action.
I love the soundtrack to this movie. Well at least one song in particular and that’s Claudia’s theme. You can YouTube if you wish. I think it’s really great.
A couple of quotes that I enjoyed.
“ I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned”
.”It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.“
2. “For a few dollars more” 1965
This is the sequel to a “Fistful of dollars”. It’s part of the famous dollar trilogy movies. Made in 1965 Eastwood portrays the man with no name. I really like  Lee Van Cleef as Col. Douglas Mortimer. It’s a revenge type of western. Both Cleef and Eastwood characters are pretty much bounty hunters. Cleef has an entirely different motive for his actions though. They seem to have great chemistry together too. I also like the dialogue between them as well. Clint Eastwood's character calls Lee Van Cleef's character "old man", while Van Cleef's character calls Eastwood "boy". Once more I love the music plays when the pocket watch is opened up.
3.” A fist full of dollars.” 1964
The beginning if you will of the the man with no name trilogy or dollars trilogy which ever you prefer. The dollars trilogy is what you call a spaghetti western. “ Spaghetti westerns were not rated highly due to their low budgets, over the top violence and inferior art work. But, these Spaghetti Westerns changed that perception forever. Director Sergio Leone gave one after another hit and this trilogy made Clint Eastwood a mega star. “ Some people don’t like them or they find them to corny. Each to their own. I loved the movies. My father pointed out to me one of the things that bugged him was the constant camera cuts to the other characters in the film. It especially focuses on their eyes. I never noticed it until he pointed it out. I do love the scene where he confronts the bullies/bad guys. On his way to them. He passes by the undertaker and tells him to get three coffins ready. After the shootout he passes back by the undertaker and tells him my mistake 4 coffins.
4. “The Good, The bad and the Ugly.” 1966
The last of the dollars trilogy. A lot of people will say that this is the best of the three movies. Like the previous  film it also stars Lee Van Cleef. This time though he is one of the villain’s. It’s a good movie. I enjoyed  Eli Wallach as Tuco. Once more you have the music on point with  The Ecstasy of Gold. I heard that song years earlier when Metallica would use it. My last thought on this trilogy is I do love how Eastwood is always smoking those little cigars. I have read though he actually hated them.
“ You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig. “
5. “Two Mules for Sister Sara” 1970
This one is a film I really liked. It doesn’t seem to be as serious as the previous I’ve listed above. It actually has quite a few comedic moments in it. I think one of the best parts of the movie is after Hogan (Eastwood) saves Sara from impending doom. She gets dressed and comes back out in her nun gear. Once Hogan realizes she is a known his expression is great then he exclaims “Jesus Christ”. I noticed this movie had blood in it. A lot of the earlier ones don’t. One guy gets his arm cut off and one takes a machete to the face. It’s a good movie and I enjoyed it. I should note the soundtrack or at least one song they play over at times in the film is a play on the title. It sounds like a mule actually braying. Pretty nifty.
6. “Pale Rider” 1985
Another good movie. Eastwood is just known as the preacher in this movie. He helps out a prospect town from becoming a mining town. When the prospectors will not give up their land. A marshal and his deputies are sent in to get prospectors out. It’s hinted at that the marshal may know the preacher form the way he reacts after told his description. This is definitely one of my favorites though. It does get a little weird with the preacher having intercourse with a guy’s girlfriend. The action is great though. It should be noted that it’s been told that Eastwood’s charter is a ghost in this film. Richard Kiel is in this movie as well. He is a well established actor. Most likely known for playing Jaws in Moonraker.
7. Outlaw Josey wales 1976
A lot of people like this movie. It’s Eastwoods only PG rated western. It’s once more a revenge type western. Josey’s family is murdered by the Union army and he joins a confederate group to get his revenge. I think one of the best parts in the movie is when Josey shoots the rope holding a ferry going across the river. Some of the Union soldiers horses fall into the river preventing them from reaching Wales. This movie is said to be George Strait’s favorite. I did find it funny that the old man in charge of the ferry was playing to both sides. If you were a Confederate he would sing “Dixie” if you were a Union solider he would sing “Battle hymn of the republic” Ever the opportunist I suppose.
"Well Mr. Carpetbagger, we got something in this territory called a Missoura boat ride!"
"Well are ya' gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?"
8.”High plains drifter” 1973
This movie could be almost a part of the man with no name trilogy. It’s just not as good. I liked the midget character named Mordecai . He is one of the best in the movie and funny. This is one of the movies where it’s possible that the stranger (Eastwood’s character) could be a ghost. Some people say he is the sheriff’s brother. Eastwood has said that himself. Then again some people say he is the ghost of the sheriff himself. It’s up to the viewer and how you choose to interpret it. This movie also marks the first movie Eastwood directed that was a western.
“You're going to look pretty silly with that knife sticking out of your ass.“
9. “Hang’em High” 1968
This was Eastwoods first major role in America. The Dollars trilogy had yet to come out over here in America. Jed  (Eastwoods character) is wrongfully hanged by a posse. He naturally seeks revenge after being rescued. He becomes a Marshal and winds up bringing some of the posse to justice. It also stars Pat Hingle. I really only know him from Tim Burton’s Batman. He played Commissioner Gordon.
10. “Joe Kidd” 1972
To be honest with you this movie really doesn’t do anything for me at all. It’s not a bad movie but it’s not one that really captivates me either. It stars Robert Duvall as a rich/wealthy landowner trying to push Mexicans off of their land. He hires Eastwood’s character named Joe Kidd. It does have some decent moments. A pretty cool scene shows Kidd taking out a gunman upon a rock. The final fight is also pretty neat where Kidd drives a train through the bar.
Honorable Mentions:
1.”Bronco Billy” 1980
This movie was on the list and I viewed it. I liked it. Eastwood plays a carnival showman. It’s your typical story of guy and girl don’t get along. Then as the movie progresses they start to get along and wind up with one another. It’s not a western but it has the theme. It does have  Scatman Crothers in it as Doc. Throw in a crooked lawyer and a crooked husband and this is the movie you have.
2. “Paint your wagon” 1969
This set during the gold rush. It is a musical though and you can get the soundtrack on itunes. I heard about this movie from The Simpsons years ago. It doesn’t have a western feel to me. Eastwood plays Pardner. It’s a cool little musical. It’s an interesting movie though. A Mormon has two wives and he sells one. Well Pardner and his partner Ben rum son played by Lee Marvin buys her. Elizabeth the wife that was purchased basically has two husbands. It’s really a good movie. My favorite song being “Wand’rin Star”
3. “The Beguiled” 1971
They had this movie on the list and there again I witched it. It’s certainly not a western. It’s okay. Eastwood kind of plays a bad guy in it but only to survive. Set in the Civil War era. He is an injured Union solider rescued by a little girl. She takes him to an all girls school. It should be noted that this is the only movie in which a character portrayed by Eastwood dies.

Warrior Season 2 Episode 3 Review: Not How We Do Business
https://ift.tt/2T1QvlP
This Warrior review contains spoilers.
Warrior Season 2 Episode 3
“Not How We Do Business” sums up the latest episode of Warrior in two ways. First, it’s a line that Zing (Dustin Nguyen) lays on O’Hara (Kieran Biew) when he finally breaks away from being a debt collector for the Fung Hai. “Not how we do business” also works on a meta level, this episode only has one Kung Fu fight. That’s weak for a Bruce Lee inspired show. There are two other fight scenes, but they’re scrappy brawls the likes of which can be found in any action drama.
Bruce Lee fans want Kung Fu, and not just any Kung Fu. As part of the Little Dragon’s legacy, it must be great Kung Fu. The lone Kung Fu scene in this episode is good and serves to introduce a pivotal new character, but that’s not enough. It’s not how we do business.
This episode begins with a missed opportunity where Ah Sahm (Anthony Koji) is in the Barbary Coast Fight Pit, facing off against another challenger. That would be great, but the fight is already over. The opening shot focuses upon his burly challenger, but he has already been knocked out and is just standing stunned, then there’s a shot of Ah Sahm, and then the challenger falls.
Seriously? No Kung Fu? Starting in the Fight Pit is fine dramatically but shortchanging the audience out of a fight is not the way to go for this show. It’s a big ripe piece of low hanging fruit left to rot. Bruce Lee fans crave gratuitous Kung Fu. Whenever Warrior goes to the Fight Pit, there had better be a fight.
After that, Ah Sahm’s fight manager Vega (Maria-Elena Laas) teases him with the promise of a bigger purse in some other international arena, a place where Warrior will hopefully go at some point this season, but not in this episode. Chao (Hoon Lee) pulls Ah Sahm aside and implies that he knows about the molasses plot that he and Young Jun (Jason Tobin) are cooking up, and that he’s concerned over Ah Sahm’s rivalry with Mai Ling (Dianne Doan). Chao comments “I don’t see any version of that ending well” which comes as no surprise to anyone. If this all ended well, there’d be no fight scenes.
Enter Hong – the New Guy in the Hop Wei
The centerpiece of the episode is the introduction of a new character, Hong (Chen Tang). Chen Tang just portrayed Yao in the new Mulan. In the original Disney animated film, Yao was Mulan’s hard ass comrade, and in contrast, he’s the shortest character (unless you count Mushu and Cri-Kee). The live action Mulan changed a lot – Yao was still the hard ass, but now he’s 6 feet tall and a less significant role. Nevertheless, Chen is a great addition to Warrior, exuding a southern charm because he was raised in Memphis and has a natural southern accent in real life, but he covers that up for Warrior.

Warrior Season 2 Episode 1 Review: Learn to Endure, or Hire a Bodyguard
By Gene Ching
Hong arrives ‘fresh off the boat’ with a batch of new recruits, hatchet men ordered from China by Father Jun (Perry Yung). Their appearance makes Young Jun nervous that Father Jun might be on to his non-Chinese molasses scheme. He’s also suspicious of Hong’s attempts to weasel his way in with them. Nonetheless, Young Jun and Ah Sahm agree to take Hong to a brothel. There Ah Sahm discovers Hong is gay but sympathetically keeps that secret.
After that, the threesome stumble across some Fung Hai gangsters in the streets and Hong, either eager to impress or just hungry to kick some ass, takes them all out by himself. It’s a good introduction and reveals his expertise with whip chain. A whip chain is a traditional Chinese weapon, one that can be easily concealed as a trusty everyday carry for a Tong man. Chen Tong delivers a decent first fight scene with it. As weapons go, the whip chain requires more skill to wield than a nunchaku. Hong deploys both the whip chain’s striking and entangling methods proficiently, although the scene is in a dark alley and the shadows can conceal a multitude of sins. Chen Tong lists skills in Stage Combat, Karate, Kung Fu and Tai Chi on his resume and claims he did some preparation for the role of Hong studying Chinese whip chain and the Japanese equivalent manriki-gusari.
One of the best things about Warrior is the relationship between Ah Sahm and Young Jun. They have an earnest chemistry as two gangsters being gangsters, delivering beat downs, slinging molasses, and chasing sticky. This camaraderie is commonplace for buddy films and TV partners but it’s exceedingly rare and delightfully refreshing to see this for two Asian men in a Western production. Both Ah Sahm and Young Jun have a lot to prove and their connection is palpable. Hong brings a new lighter tone as the third wheel to their partnership. They already seem to be bonding as a threesome which is promising for the rest of the season.
In the Room Where It Happens
Mai Ling (Dianne Doan) and Li Yong (Joe Taslim) pay a visit to the Fung Hai lair so she can scold Zing (Dustin Nguyen). Walking into Zing’s room is a gutsy move for Mai Ling, but with Li Yong at her side, she’s fearless. Zing agrees to Mai Ling’s terms, but not before she shares a ritual drink of mare’s milk with him. Mare’s milk, or Kumis, is a unique fermented drink because few alcoholic beverages are dairy derived. It’s usually not that strong, nor is it the disgusting chunky chowder depicted in Warrior but the Mongols are stereotyped as barbarians, just as they were in Mulan, so it’s depicted as revolting. Mongolians are poorly represented in film and television. Project their media depictions upon any other race and the generally disparaging tone is evident.
On the way out, a Fung Hai thug gets up in Li Yong’s face and gets throat punched for his trouble. Don’t mess witjj Li Yong. Knowing Li Yong could destroy his crew, Zing calls off his man saying “Be thankful for your pain. It means you’re still alive.”
Much to Li Yong’s dismay, Mai Ling echoes this line towards the end of the episode, making him wonder if his boss is headed down the wrong path like Zing. While everyone in Warrior has their dark side, Zing has emerged as the villain with no redeemable qualities. Taslim brings a guarded nobility to Li Yong as Warrior’s most badass fighter; he’s loyal to Mai Ling, his lover and boss, but not blindly so. This, along with Taslim’s martial expertise, makes Li Yong one of the more intriguing characters. Mai Ling, like most of the rest of the cast, is another character with a lot to prove.

Later, Zing, being the barbarous Mongol villain, threatens Chao (Hoon Lee) over delivering weapons. Chao, always the manipulator, discusses Zing with Mai Ling. Then later, Chao meets with Li Yong alone. Over bowls of noodles, Chao proposes a way to avoid war, teasing some coming intrigue to take Zing down. Everyone is aligning against Zing and the anticipation of this inevitable showdown is promising.
Sophie (Celine Buckens) sneaks into Leary’s (Dean Jagger) back room at the Banshee and finds his map of factories that use coolies. While she’s smart enough to realize that Leary is behind the factory firebombing, she somehow overlooks that Mercer Steel has got to be among those circled on that map too. Clearly her sister’s company is on the Irish workers hit list because they were beating up the coolies headed to Mercer until Penny (Joanna Vanderham) hired the Hop Wei for protection against them. Sophie and Leary finally hook up and Leary unwittingly echoes Chao saying, “This isn’t going to end well.” By now, the audience is well aware it’s not going to end well and has their collective fingers crossed that it will end in a massive Kung Fu fight at the very least.
As they have a post-coital stroll, Sophie suggests that Leary get into politics with a nod to Hamilton by suggesting he should “be in the room where it happens.” Leary calls Sophie out when she says she “knows.” She’s an entitled upper-class woman and hasn’t seen the tragedy that Leary has. He tells Sophie of some of the horrors he witnesses, of friends and family starving, and starts to pull away from her until she draws him back. It gives Leary more context.
Given the era, Leary likely escaped the Great Irish Famine (1945-1849). Over a quarter million Irish emigrated to the New World and Leary would be part of that generation. The Irish are struggling too. During that period, Irish immigrants made up most of San Francisco’s working class and about one-third of the city’s population. This is another way Warrior sheds light upon a dark period of history.
Police Beatdowns
The other two fight scenes come from the cops. The first is short. Lee (Tom Weston-Jones) returns to Nora’s (Gaosi Raditholo) tavern where he got rolled last episode to exact revenge. He goes full copper, night-sticking and shooting up the joint until he gets his cash back. With Lee, Weston-Jones is echoing his role as Kevin “Corky” Corcoran, in his previous TV show Copper. Corky was an Irish detective in a period drama set in the late 18th century, the same era as Warrior. This is not so much of a bar fight as it is a cop taking out a few unarmed barflies.
When a debtor’s wife flashes a gratuitous boob at O’Hara, offering him sex to pay her husband’s bills to the Fung Hai, it’s the last straw and he finally quits the Fung Hai. Even though O’Hara has repaid his debt, Zing exacts revenge by sending Tong men to invade his home and threaten his family. This happens right after dinner where Lee had been their guest. Lee comes to the rescue, revolver blazing, and a scrappy bit of violence ensues where O’Hara’s son and wife must defend themselves too. It’s a brutal sanguineous scene, leaving everyone dead or splattered with blood, ending this episode in a bloody mess.
Warrior Season 2 can be seen exclusively on CINEMAX.

Sonic Adventure 2.5: Ωmegλ
Writer: Karl Bollers Pencils: Dave Manak, Art Mawhinney, Ron Lim, Dawn Best, Steven Butler, and J. Axer Colors: Jason Jensen
Welcome to the end of the era, folks! As you can see from the credits above, though this one isn't quite as big or dramatic as Endgame, it's still a very important issue, with bombastic action that drives the story forward and changes the fate of the preboot world forever. Here, we reach the conclusion of not one but two different arcs that have dominated this era of the comic, so without further ado - let's do it to it!
Last issue, we discovered that Mobius is Earth, and that the Xorda are prepared to execute every living members of this planet as revenge for some random humans dissecting one of their ambassadors thousands of years ago. Seems like overkill, guys! Rotor, having overheard everything going on in the castle from his lab, has hastily developed a technological measure that should allow them to communicate directly with the Xorda in the form of a telepathic helmet. Sally volunteers herself as the one to contact them, believing that she can make a good argument based on her and Nicole's research, and puts on the helmet, suddenly finding herself in a bizarre space surrounded by surprised Xorda.
Tumblr media
This reveal is even better than the last one! Yes, the Xorda's gene bombs inadvertently caused the DNA of ordinary Earth animals to be mixed with deconstructed human DNA, which only goes further to explain why Mobians are all so humanlike. With the Xorda still on their genocidal streak, Eggman contacts the king once again to lay out his new plan to drive them away - he wants Sonic to come to his base to use his super speed to power a giant mecha that has enough force to just punch the aliens clear out of this solar system. It's a good idea, and Eggman is being genuine (for once) about his desires to defeat the Xorda, but King Max knows that with the upper hand he's gained in negotiations, he can get something more out of this deal.
Tumblr media
As Eggman angrily agrees, we travel back to the liminal space that is the afterlife, only to find Knuckles exiting the Chaos Force almost as soon as he's entered it, alarmed at having sensed danger to the entire planet. He demands answers from Aurora, wanting to know if it's possible for him to return, and she hesitates, clearly uncomfortable at the line of questioning. In Knothole, Sally rallies all the people fit to fight to be ready for anything in case Eggman's plan fails, and on Angel Island Locke similarly encourages the theocracy, the Legion, and even the dingoes to work together to muster up a fighting force. Sonic gets ready to head off to Eggman's base to power the robot, but Sally insists on coming along, saying that if Sonic falls in battle, her place is at his side until the end. And so, they arrive and both strap into the robot, which, powered by Sonic's super speed, puts up a fight against the Xorda spaceship currently hovering over Eggman's base in New Megaopolis.
Tumblr media
Sally is delighted at their apparent success, but Eggman then shows his true colors by strapping Sonic into the seat, intending to use his power to fuel his robot until Sonic dies of starvation. However, his betrayal is quickly sidelined as a mysterious device drops into Mobius' Southern Tundra from orbit, and the Xorda once again telepathically contact everyone on the planet to explain their newest plan.
Tumblr media
Really, Xorda, did you have to show your hand and reveal what your newest plan is? I mean, I do want it to fail as much as the next person, but if you wanted to ensure that it couldn't be stopped, then just… don't mention it to anyone? The Southern Tundra is literally Antarctica, a frozen wasteland where no one even lives apart from exiles like Nate Morgan (RIP). Even if Rotor or Eggman's instruments detected its presence on the continent, they wouldn't know what its purpose is just from looking at it, and might not be able to formulate a plan in time to stop it. But since the Xorda have so very kindly explained to everyone how the Quantum Dial works, Eggman reluctantly releases Sonic to pilot the Jaeger once more, intending to smash the Dial to bits with it. Meanwhile, in the afterlife, Knuckles continues to insist that he be allowed to come back to life to save his friends, and Athair supports him while Aurora desperately pleads with him to reconsider.
Tumblr media
You know, maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I like the concept of Aurora as a deity. She's not omnipotent, and she's definitely not perfect. It's clear that due to her lofty position high above the mortal plane, she's so wrapped up in the enormity of the world's mysteries and the knowledge that can be gained thereof that she's kind of blind to the joys that ordinary people take in their mortal life on Mobius. And yet she's ultimately benevolent or at least benign, allowing people to make their own decisions regardless of what she feels they should do, and "lesser" beings such as Athair feel comfortable addressing her informally and generally being flippant if they feel like it. Back in the tundra, the world quickly finds out that some kind of invisible defensive grid surrounding the Dial prevents anything technological from getting close to it, causing Station Square's nuclear missiles to fall apart harmlessly before they hit it. And thus, every fighting fit being on the planet masses on the continent, ready for a final desperate assault for the fate of their planet.
Tumblr media
Laser cannons erupt from the ground, firing at the attacking force and causing them to scatter. At the same time, Eggman's robot reaches the Dial, only to fall apart the same as the missiles, causing Sonic and Sally to fall out of it into the snow nearby. Nicole (who somehow didn't fall apart - maybe because she's not a weapon and thus wasn't targeted by the defensive grid?) takes this chance to run a quick analysis on the device, and Rotor, upon receiving her data, deduces that while the Dial isn't designed to stop moving once in motion, a sufficient counter-force would be enough to disintegrate its gears and halt its progression. Sonic suggests he could create that counter-force with his speed, but Nicole discourages this, as the resulting implosion of matter around the Dial would kill Sonic. She then gets another reading from the device, and discovers to her, Sally, and Sonic's horror that a quantum wave is about to expand out from the Dial, incinerating everything in a hundred mile radius. Sally and Sonic realize they're too late, and begin to say a last "I love you" to each other as the wave rushes toward them, but it suddenly, inexplicably dissipates just before it hits them, leaving them shocked and baffled. But what - or who - is responsible for this apparent miracle?
Tumblr media
You guys didn't really think Rad Red would stay dead, did you? Nah man, this is a comic book! Welcome back to the mortal coil, buddy, we missed ya! The Dial's defenses have all been disabled by Knuckles' final burst of power, but the danger isn't over yet - the arm is still in motion, and with time quickly running out, only Rotor's counter-force suggestion seems feasible.
Tumblr media
I'll admit, when I first read this issue I didn't see this coming at all. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried. Y'all already know I'm kind of a sucker for this pairing, and truly, this is far more in character than what we saw last issue. Sonic may not be sappy or romantic, but he is incredibly loving, even if he doesn't always openly show it. And it's always been clear, from the very first issue of the comic and every issue in between, that whatever problems they have, whatever evils might try to tear them apart, Sonic the Hedgehog truly, deeply loves Sally Acorn, and has ever since they were children. A final confession of love before a heroic sacrifice is just his style.
And so, he runs. He leaves without another word, not looking back, refusing to let himself be tempted to stay. Sally is left behind in tears as Sonic puts his plan into action, racing counter-clockwise around the Dial. He's saved the world so many times, and now, if he can push himself to his limits and pull it off once more, it will have all been worth it…
The Dial's gears grind to a halt, and the device implodes. Everyone stares out in shock at the resulting crater, wondering about Sonic's fate, until Sally approaches with the news they all feared.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And thus ends the legacy of Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm afraid that we've reached the end of this comic, guys. The world has been saved, and though the lives of those close to him will never be the same, he will always be remembered as a hero the world over, and his… hey, wait a second. Remember how the Quantum Dial was supposed to create a black hole? And you know how in science fiction, black holes are always some kind of portal into another part of the universe? Let's zip away from Mobius - far away, 849,000 light years in fact - to take a look at the barren surface of some distant, alien planet. It's unremarkable at best - but suddenly, a flash of light illuminates the rocky surface, and when it disappears…
Sonic the Hedgehog is lying on the surface of the planet. Unconscious, but alive.

Recollection C
Fifth, Pierrot, pages 114-115
Periodically, an operating noise is audible from my body.
Lately it’s stopped feeling quite as annoying to me.
.
I who had “died” in the Levianta Catastrophe was reborn by Seth Twiright’s hand as a red cat doll. He told me that he’d used his research in his main field of indeterminate form state memory matter and forbidden transference magic, but I frankly don’t understand its structure at all. At any rate, thanks to that I had become ageless and immortal, but my body was little more than a powerless cat, hardly able to use magic.
In order to obtain power, every now and then I would take over human bodies that were strong in magic in each era, making them into puppets. Each time I did I would also change my name.
IR, AB-CIR, Abyss IR, and—Julia Abelard.
My current body once bore the name of Germaine Avadonia. Yes, the “red-armored sworsdwoman” who led the “Lucifenian Revolution”.
Hers is the best body that I’ve had so far. To say the least she inherits from both Sateriasis Venomania, and Banica Conchita. Surprisingly enough, she was hiding very strong latent magical power. If she had been born into a different era, Germaine would have become a very capable sorceress.
My reason for continuing to live so long, even to the point of taking such troublesome measures as this—in the beginning, it was for revenge against that woman. The woman who brought my homeland to ruin, who killed my brother, me, and the babies that had been in my belly. To bring her at least a little bit of trouble, I had interfered in her collecting the “Vessels of Deadly Sin”. When she sought some rest in the Kingdom of Lucifenia, I brought that country to ruin using the power of the “Vessels of Deadly Sin”.
I wouldn't kill her. The pain of death was instantaneous. I would not allow her to just simply go to "Heaven". She would continue to suffer forever on this earth--that is what I wanted.
My other goal had been to increase my number of comrades using the "Vessels of Deadly Sin". I had successfully achieved this once in Venomania’s time. The descendants of Lukana Octo in particular are still around in various places even now.
One of them was "Sixth, Venom", Gatt Coulomb.
However, it seems that as time has passed the “HER” blood has begun to grow weaker. It was true of Germaine Avadonia, but with Gatt too I could hardly see the “HER” gene in him at all. Though it seems it isn’t entirely missing, based on the loyalty that he’s shown me.
The time is coming where I must think of a new method. Quality over quantity--I need to create those who have a much stronger makeup of “HER”.
And the "Vessels of Deadly Sin" aren’t enough for that. There exist the "Seeds of Malice", which are even stronger than them. However, the only "Seeds of Malice" that remain on this land anymore is just that which is carried inside the "Twins of God".
--For that reason I have put my hopes in Lemy.
That if I have him, perhaps I can become "M.O.T.HER--Master of the 'HER's".

Overview: The Rules of Immortality
“We don’t know what can kill us, and what can’t, there’s only one way of finding out our limits and it’s an awfully risky method of going through the possibilities.  It’s not as if we get a guidebook upon finding out we’re immortal.”
“You know, everyone could technically test if they were immortal, but the thing is you can only try once. We just ended up with the good result.”
Introducing some OCs made with a friend of mine!
From left to right --
Lucian - Simeon
Nikita  - Matthias
Elizabeth  - Kimiko
Eduard  - Medea
Bartholomew - Victoire
They more have little scenes than anything else, and they’re sort of just a little universe that I like to visit now and again, I doubt it’ll become anything big. More just like a web series, but written only! Existing within a universe where the mythical is hidden among the mundane, and magic creatures of old have their own realm hidden away from the human world. A house of ten (nine if you don’t count the cat) attempt to come to terms with their abilities -- and with each other, turns out culture clashes become quite the issue when everyone is from a different era; who would have thought?
If that sounds kinda interesting, I got a whole lot below! Split into some Worldbuilding, and then the actual Characters.
Credit for the template here.
The world
The bridge in the gap between the mythical and the mundane are the Immortals -  humans born with the secret of immortality locked away in their code. This supposed “gene” is theorized by many mythical-users to be the product of a human family having secret mythic blood somewhere in the family. Within humans, this materializes as a type of immortality that activates upon a (usually early) death. The immortality in question heals all natural wounds and freezes the individual at the age of their first official death -- it is said that these deaths must come with a certain amount of adrenaline in order to activate it, but the exact situation needed is as of yet unknown.  This has been used as an explanation by many as to why the vast majority of immortals have violence and unexpected stories intertwined with their deaths. By some arguments, an immortal-blooded human could easily live, grow old and die without knowledge of their abilities.
Furthermore, the activation of an individual’s immortality has been known to heal all former physical wounds to a certain extent, as well as provide de-ageing in cases where the body is returned to a peak physical state within its life cycle -- old magic runs in the blood of an immortal, and old magic provides in every way it can.
Immortals are a topic of controversy within the mythical world -- to some, they should be welcomed as full members, to others, they were merely extensions of the humankind that cast them out. Regardless, immortals remain a secret to most of human society (aside from hunters and regulators)  and are overseen by reapers, who use magic to both track and keep an eye on newly-emerging immortals, and who are usually the ones to both explain what has happened and welcome them into the mythical world.
Immortals, minority as they are, tend to band together within small groups, and most find themselves more at ease within the human realm than that of the mythical. Here is one such group -- a safe haven originally created by Lucian out of his estate manor, now turned to flatmates in a still luxurious house.
The characters
Lucian Carlisle - A businessman and artist both in the past and the present, Lucian was born into luxury at the height of the Victorian era in Britain, though he has certainly changed with the times. Gentle, soft-spoken and eager to help those like him, Lucian began the haven for the immortals currently living with him -- and while he is certainly easy to take advantage of, even he has his limits, with a sharp tongue at times. Bubbly, excitable and with an optimism for life that has only strengthened with the decades, Lucian hopes only to see the world improve, keeping up the belief that the future is bright. He is the lover of Simeon Alford -- with whom he has spent the longest and was killed by and in turn killed. (It’s a long story, and, well, they’re both over it.)
Simeon Alford - A partial-musician and full-time cynic, Simeon was born to a lower-middle-class family in the Victorian era, ending up serving at the Carlisle estate. After wrapping up in shady business with an inheritance-hungry cousin, Simeon, both for the money and out of spite, found himself in an assassination-attempt gone-wrong and discovering his immortality in possibly one of the most awkward ways; alongside the person you attempted to murder. Fortunately, the years have allowed hostilities to fade. Bitter, pessimistic and overall full of dark humour, Simeon is most often the opposite of his now-lover, Lucian Carlisle, whom he most often claims to be the only human that he can stand. Simeon cares little for the way the world has progressed, sticking to his belief that at their core, people never really change.
Nikita Dmitrievsky - A revolutionary and now budding culinary artist, Nikita Dmitrievsky, Nikita lived and died during the reign of the Soviet Union under Stalin -- namely, dying during the Great Purge. Nikita hungers for the justice that he dreamed of in his own time, and never saw, and refuses to be disillusioned by those that still remain in the world; he believes in fighting on for what he believed in so long ago, even in small ways; and that immortality will grant him the gift of seeing that world eventually. He believes fiercely in his ideals, hard work and remains dedicated -- and prefers to keep to himself. He is the (eventual) lover of Matthias Townsend, an initial rival due to their conflicting beliefs; which in the end turn out not to be so different after all.
Matthias Townsend - A sharpshooter and determined annoyance, Matthias fits the stereotype of the obnoxious American. Born and raised during the days of the wild west, Matthias is a self-proclaimed cowboy who still prides himself on adventure. Despite dying in a shoot-out with several others (and being the only one to return), Matthias still refuses to shy away from a fight. Hot-headed and argumentative, the years have done nothing to calm his attitude. He’s rather stuck in his ways, bordering on offensive at times, with little care for others or their opinions of him. This attitude has led to him to clash, primarily, with Simeon Alford, with a strong rivalry forming between the two. He is also the (eventual) lover of Nikita Dmitrievsky, after initial misunderstandings are cleared.
Elizabeth Brennan - A writer and reluctant therapist of the group. Elizabeth was born in Ireland in the early 1800s, dying at the hands of her husband early in her life -- as such, her first return from death was marked by taking revenge upon him, as well as upon other threats in her life and the lives of others. Her string of murders remained unsolved in her time, and she remains in fear that she will be discovered now despite the cases being long forgotten. Elizabeth has calmed since her bloodthirsty hunt, preferring instead to now strive for peace; a difficult feat in a house such as the one she now occupies. He focuses on remaining calm and mediating the more volatile conversations that most often arise. She is the lover of Kimiko, and was the one who initially snuck her into the house.
Kimiko - A warrior and overall enigma, little is known about Kimiko -- in fact, this is the only name she claims to have, and it is unknown if this is her true one or if any way related to it. Kimiko prefers to keep largely to herself, reaching the heights of being an introvert. During her first few months at the house, she was smuggled in by Elizabeth to avoid social interaction, and remained hidden in one of the many spare rooms until she was discovered by Simeon. As with everything else about her life, Kimiko’s past is a guarded secret; while she is clear on being born in Japan, she is vague with other pieces -- claiming sometimes to be a Onna-bugeisha, sometimes to be a pirate, and other times she claims the heritage of nothing more than a normal village girl. She prefers not to speak of her past. She is the lover of Elizabeth Brennan, her closest confidant.
Eduard Adler - A doctor and experimenter, Eduard remains dedicated to researching their immortality to discover exactly how it works, in order to better preserve their own life and understand what they are. Eduard and born and raised in Germany, and died as a rebel against the Nazi regime -- something Eduard remains proud of to this day, and he still holds a firm belief is resisting injustice wherever he can. He is teased, frequently, over the fact that he is the only one of the group who could theoretically still be alive without the immortality.  Eduard prefers to keep to his new research lab in the house, finding it difficult to interact socially with others outside of experiments. Primarily, he feels intimidated by Simeon, and avoids Matthias due to feeling targetted for him for teasing. He found friendship in the quiet of Kimiko, and as of late found himself the object of Medea’s affections -- a fact he doesn’t quite know what to do with.
Medea - An adrenaline-junkie and troublemaker, Medea, much like Kimiko, has little of her past known. Though this is less out of secrecy and more out of lack of care. Medea remembers little of her past, and when she does she tends to embellish it. Of Greek descent, Medea (as she claims her name to be), claims to have existed in broad ‘Spartan times’, though she recalls little of what her life was like aside from clearly fictional stories. Loud-mouthed, brash and lacking any sense of self-awareness or boundaries, Medea can often be overwhelming. She is extremely proud of her strength, often showing off by lifting heavy objects as well as people (with or without consent). Medea is the best friend of Matthias, marking her, in Simeon’s eyes, as another rival, something that she doesn’t necessarily agree with or acknowledge. Medea has set her affections, for the time being, on Eduard Adler.
Bartholomew Alford-Carlisle - The pet cat of Simeon and Lucian, and the only non-immortal creature in the house; though it may be enchanted to live longer than a usual cat. Bartholomew, known as Mew by the others, is the backbone of the house, as well as the only living thing other than Lucian that Simeon claims to actually love, or even like.
Victorie - A researcher and the go-to member of the house for all things modern technology. While one of the older members of the house era-wise, Victorie is the youngest when it comes to physical age. Remaining at the age of 12-13 years old, Victorie died young during the era of the first French revolution, killed by a local murderer within her town. She forgets much of her life, still, preferring to go with the flow of time, and as a result, is much more up-to-date with modern technology than the others within the house, and is most often the one to show them how such things work. Victorie has become more social with the changing times, and is closest with Lucian and Simeon, being the first other immortal they welcomed to their home. She regards them, for the most part, as her new family.
