FHR: Past connections Pairing: Sidestep (Riley) & Danny Warnings: TFW you don't get along with someone but they want to get along with you lol Word Count: 541 Prompt: write an interaction between your blorbo and a character you've never (or not much) "made them" interact with yet.

"Hey, um… can I ask you something?"

Has Ortega been coaching him? That's his line to weasel in through your defenses and get you to open up about something… or at least consider it. You give Herald a narrow look over the top of your sunglasses, but decide to throw him half a bone since he actually managed to land something of a hit on you in training today. "Fine, you can ask, but I don't have to answer."

"Yeah, those are the rules," he agrees too easily, and now you're certain Ortega has been coaching him. He nods to himself as he considers how to phrase his query, blue eyes bright and inquisitive under his bouncing golden bangs. "So, I met someone, a young girl, a few years ago. She said she knew you before you became Sidestep, and that you saved her from being kidnapped."

You freeze, cookie forgotten halfway to your mouth as you gape at him before snapping your mouth shut. How on earth could he possibly know about Sadie?

"She said she couldn't ever forget you, and I was wondering if you remember her?"

"Of course I do…" Fuck, she must be in high school now. Maybe even college. The first person you ever saved of your own volition, your own choice. The first step into actually living. Free, mostly. Still chasing human approval and acceptance like a dog, riding high on gratitude, reliant on gratuity. You shake your head, rattling those chains of the past loose. You're no one's dog now.

"... that okay, Riley?"

You jerk with the realization that he was still talking to you and scrub your face roughly with your hand. "Yeah, sure," you mutter before sinking your teeth back into the soft cookie he bribed your time with, not willing to admit you didn't hear a word he said.

"So, what was her name?"

"Why do you want to know that?" The growl of your tone makes him flinch just a little. Good.

"Well, I mean…" He flounders, trying to figure out where he misstepped with you. "It's kind of hard to find someone again without even a name to go on?"

Oh. Fuck. That was what he asked? To track her down? Reunite you? He's as big a meddler as Ortega. Bigger, maybe. Ortega, at least, has stopped stepping in your past like dog shit. Mostly.

"No." You say it with the flat finality of a closed door, shutting it in his face. She doesn't need to know how far her hero has fallen. Bad enough that he still clings to what you were, despite your attempts to divorce him from such idealism. "Leave that girl alone."

"But you said I could—"

"I changed my mind!" The bark is punctuated with a smack to the table that startles him into silence. As all eyes in the café turn to you, you just as quickly turn them away as you rise, slapping some bills on the table.

"Sidestep is dead," you hiss the stark reminder in his ear as you pass, resisting the perverse urge itching under your skin to shatter the window of his hope and reveal just what crawled out of that particular corpse. "Let her stay that way."

It was a rare night in the Jacob's household. For just one night, it was just David and Les occupying the house. Sarah had a serious interview for a scholarship to a prestigious private school a few cities over. Naturally, Esther and Mayer both wanted to be there to support her. The boys had wanted to be there too, but Mayer had barely started working again so they still needed to sell papers until school started.

David had promised his parent's that the two would be fine alone. And, if it made them feel better, he would invite Jack over.

"Oh, please do! Jack is such a tough boy, he'll keep you two safe!" Esther had said.

"Mama!" David had groaned. "I can keep us safe. Really, we'll be fine."

His mother had grabbed his face and smiled, running a soothing finger over his cheek. "I know, David. But, still. I think you should invite Jack over. I'll feel better knowing you two aren't alone. Besides, I worry for him when he sleeps at the lodging. And since we won't be there, you two can sleep in our bed!"

"Fine, Mama. I'll have Jack over." He wasn't really upset about it. Truth be told, he worried for Jack too. And it would be nice to spend the night with his boyfriend without having to worry about the littles. Every time he stayed with Jack at the lodging, they had to stay up late incase a younger newsie had a nightmare or just woke themselves up.

What he hadn't thought of, was that Jack's sleep schedule was long gone and nothing could fix it. "Jack. Les doesn't wake up unless you wake him up yourself, and the younger boys are fine with Racetrack and Crutchie. There's nothing to keep you awake."

"I know! I'm jus' not used to going to sleep this early," Jack complained. He thrashed on the bed and jumbled up the sheets. "Not used to sleepin' in no fancy bed neither."

David had done everything. He had gotten Jack a glass of warm milk, which nearly woke up Les because of how loud their stove was. He had tried to hold his hand, card his fingers through his hair. Hell, he had even read him bed time stories and counted sheep.

After doing everything he could think of, David gave up. He just wrapped himself around Jack's arm, interlocked their fingers, and decided to go to sleep.

His sense began to go, and he was nearly asleep, when Jack decided to talk. "Do you think we'd still be a couple in an alternate universe?" Dave could feel Jack's lips moving against his hair, and he groaned tiredly.

"Go to bed."

David thought he had, too. Until a couple of minutes later he piped up again.

"What if we're already married and have five kids?"

He sighed and stretched while still wrapped around Jack's forearm. "Go to bed."

Jack only chuckled. He let out a long sigh, before he threw his arm around David's torso and buried his face into his boyfriend's curly hair. It was only a matter of seconds before Jack was lightly snoring, and David found himself matching his boyfriend's breathing pattern as he fell back asleep.

I just realized something about glee when they showed almost everyone’s family on glee like the parents or siblings it was always a big moment for their storylines and sometimes the actors were well known like for example Rachel’s dads Santana’s mom Brittany’s parents but for Mercedes we get to see her mom IN THE LAST FUCKING SEASON IN A DAMN FLASHBACK EPISODE!!! like you know how many famous black celebrities wanted to play Mercedes siblings or mother!!!?? FUCKING GABRIELL UNION WANTED TO PLAY HER SISTER!!! And patti freaking labelle wanted to play her mother!!!!!😩😩😩that would’ve been iconic if they had a bring it on type episode but noooooooo COULDNT GIVE MERCEDES THAT MUCH ICONIC MOMENTS I FUCKING HATE GLEE SOOOO MUCH...ALSO JAZMINE SALLIVAN COULDVE BEEN ANOTHER SILBLING!!!! Mes dessins de 2022 (partie 2)

Voici mes autres dessins! (ils n’y sont pas tous, certains sont réservés pour le serveur, voili voilou)

Depuis juillet 2021, j’écris une fanfiction dans un AU où Donatien est mort, et avec cet AU, j’ai accepté de canoniser un HC d’une de mes lectautres qui est que l’écharpe de Kiddy lui vient de Donatien, et j’ai donc j’ait un dessin pour représenter cela, avec Kiddy, petit (à droite), qui obtient l’écharpe pour la première fois, et Kiddy, grand (à gauche), qui pleure en serrant l’écharpe contre lui.

Ensuite, j’ai dessiné deux de mes OC ensemble, Lilie (gauche) et Carolina (droite)! Si vous connaissez leurs vieux designs, vous verrez qu’elles ont encore changé!

Fun fact: J’ai beau avoir créé Lilie, son prénom et son nom de famille ont changé tellement de fois que je ne sais jamais comment l’écrire :’)

J’ai découvert, dans la POV de Tim, que Lucy et lui prennent un selfie ensemble, alors j’ai redessiné ça! C’était franchement amusant, ils sont chouette à dessiner, même si Tim est un peu galère :’)

Rose est actuellement mon personnage préféré de RPZ, alors quand j’ai appris que je devais la dessiner pour la deuxième édition de la Fashion Catalog, j’étais extrêmement heureux! Je me suis franchement amusé, c’était trop cool, je l’aime si fort, vous n’imaginez même pas

Ce n’est pas que Max est mon personnage préféré de Stranger Things, cependant!, c’est un personnage que j’adore dessiner, preuve en est que c’est la quatrième fois que je fais ce dessin!

J’aime beaucoup cet exercice, ça me permet de voir mon évolution dans ma façon de dessiner, voyez?

Après, j’aime beaucoup Max!

Plus tard dans l’année, j’ai eu une envie soudaine de faire une base chibi et de dessiner tous les ships que j’aime dessus, ou du moins jusqu’à ce que j’en ai marre, j’en ai fait trois pour le moment! le Rilucie (que j’ai involontairement créé, dis donc, moi et les crackship wlw!), le Sarally et le Inirose! Ils sont mignons, hein? :3c

growing up around athletes, she was used to the egos and everything else that came along with it. interviews could always go one of two ways. way one, which was the preferred method, was that it went off without a hitch and whoever the athlete was was nice and accepting of her and her questions. the other way was they wanted nothing to do with her or the interview. she always prepared for the latter way and hoped for the former. "hey, i'm riley," introduced herself, sticking her hand out for the other.
