Yes, the West is helping Ukraine, but is it being done to a sufficient extent. Unfortunately, no! Strange as it may be, the Russian military industry receives components for the production of missiles and other armaments from the West, Russian "tourists" and businessmen still enter Europe and the United States, Russian business is still not completely isolated...Russian spies, agents of influence and cronies of the Kremlin are still operating unhindered in the West…

One of Putin's goals with his illegal invasion of Ukraine was to extend the cultural influence of the Russian world. That has been a bigger failure than his military disaster.

Ukraine's language situation is complex. But about 20% of the population is primarily Russian speaking and a majority of the population can understand Russian – a legacy of Soviet imperialism.

Russia used to be a major source of music. That changed bigtime in February of 2022. Putin has unintentionally created a boom in Ukrainian music.

Prior to February 2022, YouTube’s rankings in Ukraine were overwhelmed by Russian-language songs, which occupied up to 75% of top chart positions. Ukrainian-language music struggled for visibility, making up just 10% of the weekly top 100. But in the months since Russia’s assault began, homegrown Ukrainian acts have rapidly overturned this imbalance. They now account for 65% of YouTube’s top slots in the country, while Russian musicians have been largely purged from the charts, Ekonomichna Pravda writes.

The war appears to have enriched Ukrainian performers financially as well. Best Music, a Ukrainian publishing company, reported one its top artists earning 248% more from streaming services in the third quarter of 2022 compared to 2021. Russian language and culture have taken it on the chin in most parts of the world – but especially in Ukraine.

In Ukraine, you can now officially write Russia and words related to it in lower case.

A resident of Ryazan said that he was beaten by the military, who mistook him for a saboteur. According to him, when they realized that they had made a mistake, they passed off the situation as a fall from a motorcycle. Ruslan recently bought himself a motorcycle and decided to test it before the season. According to other motorcyclists, the best place for this was the road near the military airfield. Ruslan went there, but when he saw that there were no traces of other motorcycles, he turned around and left. The man refueled the motorcycle and took it to the garage. On the way, he was stopped by three armed men who introduced themselves as members of the “Whirlwind” detachment. They asked if Ruslan was near the airfield, took away his motorcycle, and took him to headquarters. The man tried to explain that he had not done anything illegal - there were no restrictive signs on the road. Ruslan himself unlocked the phone and offered to show his passport with registration (it was registered in the area of the Dyaghilevo military airfield), but the military did not listen to him. The man was taken to the elder’s office, introduced as a spy, and as evidence they told about a broken wire allegedly found near the airfield. According to Ruslan, he naturally denied all the accusations, but to no avail. As further evidence, the military pointed to the Ukrainian telegram channel to which Ruslan was subscribed. The man explained that this is a pro-Russian channel, and everything else in his subscriptions are Russian publications and military correspondents. The arguments did not convince anyone - according to him, four masked people continued to beat Ruslan, and they also tried to tear off his ear with pliers. As the man said, in the end the military realized that they had made a mistake and called the traffic police squad. Ruslan was ordered to remain silent about what happened, and the police were ordered to tell the story of how he fell from the motorcycle. Ruslan was taken to the police department, issued a fine for driving without license plates, and an ambulance was called. Doctors diagnosed the man with a fracture of the eye socket, nose and ribs, a contusion of the left eye, pneumothorax, and multiple bruises. The police came to see him at the hospital - this time he wrote a statement. The statement was also accepted by the military prosecutor's office.

For those Western politicians who say: "We need to give a piece of Ukrainian territory in exchange of peace" I'd like to say that's there's something you personally can do for peace - you can give away, for example, your oldest child. Or youngest, doesn't matter. You can give part of your country's territory to russia, preferably, some larger city that they could bomb and loot, and you would experience the whole beauty of the russian world.

Understand, that West is getting ballets and oligarchs in yachts from russia, and we [e.g. Eastern Europeans, or anyone from poor countries] get bombs, russian trolls, deportations, and famines.

Saying that we're provoking russia by supporting Ukraine is the same as saying that tampons provoke periods. Sorry, that's not how it works. There is a battle on two fronts: against russia in Ukraine (and Eastern Europe), and against backwards politicians and people.

But finally we, white Eastern Europeans, faced true racism and colonialism from both sides - russians do not consider Baltic states or Ukraine as countries and nations, and some Western politicians think that they can sacrifice us, because we're slightly less "european" than them.

Of course, I'm presenting it as far more dramatic than it is. I'm generalizing, but such mood does exist in the West. CYNICISM, the desire to do business and not get involved in a military sense, letting the Ukrainians do it, while we paint our corporations in Blue and Yellow. Each one of us can make a difference: product selection, protests, boycotts, letters, emails. We have the priviledge to not fight the actual war, just to economically separate russia from, at least, Europe. But people are afraid of inconveniencing themselves. So what is there to do?

А ещё, в Субботу я был в Пскове! Ну я уже писал; я там майского жука спасал)

Потом вернулся в Питер, не захотел ехать сразу домой, погода была солнечной — я арендовал самокат, доехал до Египетского моста и вдруг понял что Египетский мост ведёт на микро островок!

Несколько кварталов окружены каналами! По центру острова прикольный парк, короче я решил объехать на самокате этот остров, а когда объехал решил пересечь вдоль и поперёк.

Russia’s Luna-25 spacecraft has collided with the surface of moon after communication was interrupted, Russian state media TASS reported, citing Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos.

The spacecraft was meant to be Russia’s first lunar landing mission in 47 years.

According to preliminary calculations, Luna-25 “switched to an off-design orbit” before the collision, TASS reported.

P.S. Breaking news: The moon has successfully repelled the Russian imperialist invasion! Good!

The Kremlin intended to use this mission to propagandize the dictatorial regime and boost the morale of corrupt Russophiles...

Achieving peace is really quite simple in Ukraine:

It's not hard to understand, but it could be beyond the limited mental abilities of Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, and assorted tankies. Bothsiderism is a mark of imbecility.

The war is not a "territorial dispute" or some ancient ethnic feud. It is a cold-blooded attempt by Putin's Russia to eradicate Ukraine as a national entity. It is imperialism that springs from Putin's neo-fascist dreams of a so called "Russian World" (русский мiръ).

American "Patriots" 1939.

I propose a "New" flag for our new modern American "Patriots"...

Afterall, we don't want the brown people in the USA, and Russia doesn't want their criminals and other undesirables, and brown people polluting their space either. Send them to Ukraine so they can be ground up fighting the ungrateful and undesirable Slavs who refuse to "know their place".
