There’s a few yans I could see being especially into this (Jordi, Spirit of the Roads, Clay, Dew), but my favorite to think about in this scenario would have to be Sammy— your giant, intimidating self-appointed bodyguard kneeling for you and sticking out his tongue whenever you move to flick ash away from your cig or blunt. He doesn’t say anything either, just looks at you pleadingly if he doesn’t think you’ll do it or letting his eyes flutter shut expectantly if he’s confident you will. You’d probably have to fuss at him not to do it in public too, unless you want everybody knowing what kind of relationship the two of you really have. He’s got no shame— the question is, do you?

I LOVE talking about this fic, it is literally my baby and it’s so special to me so thank you so much for asking about this!!! It’s currently my only fic on ao3 and I’m roughly 1/2 way done with it. To put it simply it’s a Jegulus ex’s au. I have 2 chapter out on ao3 rn but I’m working on the 3rd currently. I’ve been a bit behind on updating tho cause I’m super busy :(

Anyway here’s a snippet:

Regulus didn’t realize he was crying until he began to taste the salt of his tears as they rolled down his cheeks and onto his lips. Stumbling back to grip onto something, an attempt to stabilize himself. Tripping over his shoes which were kicked away haphazardly, he gripped the table in which his coat now laid on. Splitting through the silence came the undeniable crash of glass echoing around him. Sounds of a splash of water soon to follow in its wake. The distinct fall of glass and roses, painting a perfect representation of how Regulus felt.

Turning around, he stares at the disarray in which he’s unintentionally made. The crystal clear glass shards littering the crisp marble flooring. Water running through the grout between the tiles. The sharp edges and reflective pools of the mess glittering in the moonlight.

Roses scattered across the floors, fallen petals littered at his feet.

I've put together something for a GoFundMe campaign for Sammy after all, and just asked sis to look it over. It's... long 😅 but the situation is kinda complicated so I feel it does need a few words to explain. Let's see what sis says about that.

At the very least this would literally buy us more time. If I really do have to rehome Sammy it shouldn't be done while he's feeling like crap 😞 Not to mention it likely would need some time to find someone suitable in the first place, and I really would like to check thoroughly if they can properly handle him. Will send the link of the GoFundMe to my trainer for some context once it's live, and ask what she thinks of the situation.
