Profile Me Up! (short fic)

I couldn't stop laughing while writing this fsdjnfsjdfdj It's short and sweet, but only because I didn't want to overdo it 😂

Written for the February "All 4-1 Challenge"!! Tagging @turtle-babe83 and @thelaundrybitch for visibility :) Splinter asks Mikey to help him set up a dating profile, just for the shits and giggles. But they also need Donnie for technical help....

"Oh you've got to be kidding me...."

Donnie said those words while turning around in his chair, now facing his younger brother, Mikey, and their father, master Splinter. The bespectacled terrapin's traits were ones of concern, slightly frowning, while the two others were dead serious.

"What?! Come on, it'll be fun!" replied the orange clad one. "We need your help setting up the profile."

"Dad, please, tell me Mikey didn't force you to this idea," discarded Donatello, his gaze focused on the rat.

The rodent's ears perked up a bit, his expression soft as he simply answered:

"Oh no, it is my idea in fact."

Donnie's expression fell into a deadpan look, a long exhale leaving his nostrils as he slowly swiveled back towards his computer's screens.

"Aight, just tell me which website to go to. jesus fucking christ."

Michelangelo was already rushing to his brother's chair, gripping the back of it and shaking it in slight excitement.

"Tinder!"

"Fuck no!"

"Language," warned Splinter.

Donnie tsked, expertly and quickly slapping one of Mikey's hands away from his chair without giving the action a look. Now how the heck could he find the perfect... dating site for his father?

"You do realize that you won't be able to put an actual photo of yourself, right?" he asked, still typing, while giving a quick glance at his father standing nearby.

"I do have an idea in mind, don't worry."

Oh now Donnie was starting to feel suspicious. After some quick searches (and questionable suggestions from Mikey), the trio did find a somewhat okay website that was targeted to a reasonably normal audience. The purple banded mutant clicked the "Sign Up" option with a sigh, then vaguely gesturing his screen.

"The floor is yours, MC Mikey," he said in a neutral tone.

The younger one was now slapping his brother's shoulder, urging him to give away his seat so he could sit down and get to work. As Donnie moved, Mikey asked him to get a stool for Splinter to sit on next to him. The tall terrapin could only comply, next standing close and watching this weird life event occur...

"Name?" asked Mikey.

The rat shrugged: "Splinter?"

"Short and straight to the point. Love it," added the orange one, typing. "What about your hobbies?" he continued.

"Meditating. Attending to my bonsais. Reading."

"This is getting nowhere," mumbled Donnie, pinching the bridge of his nose under his glasses.

Mikey seemed to be typing more than what he was told, always humming in approval to his father's words.

"Occupation?" ask the younger terrapin.

Splinter's features seemed to light up as he smiled: "A martial arts teacher!"

"Damn, you're the perfect man," commented Mikey, amused. "A dreamboat!"

"I am quite the catch indeed," added the rat in a similar tone.

Donnie was trying not to laugh.

"What do you look for in a partner?"

Oh now the tall mutant was apprehending that answer...

"... To be patient, kind, and with a good sense of humor," started the rat after some quick thinking. "Oh and bonus point if they smell like cheese," he added playfully.

That made Mikey laugh as he typed, soon joined by Donnie's muffled chortle.

"Anything special to add?" asked the young terrapin, still smiling.

The rodent did ponder for a moment, his ears shifting slightly with his thoughts.

"If they don't mind hair, being a bit adventurous in their travels, and are more of a night person, then they can - as you youngsters say - hit me up."

Oh this time Donnie let out a loud snort.

"A true modern man," commented Mikey. "Gettin' hip with the crowd and using the right lingo. I'm so fuckin' proud."

"Language," repeated Splinter.

"My b, my b," quickly apologized the young one.

And now came the question of what to use as a profile picture. Without hesitation, Splinter asked for Donatello's phone (which immediately confused the terrapin). Requesting a web browser to be opened, the rat then snatched the device and started to type into a search bar, patiently scrolling until finding the right choice.

"Let's use this," he said, now showing the phone's screen to his sons, revealing this picture:

Both turtles lost it, the rodent smiling at the reaction.

"Please, tell me all of this is a joke," asked Donnie, trying to calm his laughter.

"Oh, absolutely," answered Splinter. "But I'm still curious to see if anyone would answer to this profile!"

"Fuck, you're the best," giggled Mikey.

"Language. And don't make me say it another time or it's straight to the hashi. Both of you."

"I'd still take the hashi over any spicy responses you may ever receive on this," commented the purple clad mutant with a chuckle.

"Let's get wild on this ride!" said the young one, uploading the picture and finalizing the account's creation.

The clock was now ticking.

• Wonu — Donatello (part 2). I THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE MM DROPPED THE BIOS 😭 what sold me on the idea is that Wonu’s really smart. Like he doesn’t say much but he’s so so so smart and my evidences are Christmas in August, Don’t Lie, and EGO (like I’m so amazed he solo’d and almost got out) like Wonu? Unmatched. Might make his own maze to trap enemies with and play mind games with them

You barely see Donnie in a "red code" mood.

Actually, you don't remember when was the last time that you saw him that way

Well, not in a hard anger mode...

And you have no idea how you would deal with an anger Donnie

But, now, who is anger is you

With anger driving you crazy, you arrived in the lair like a soldier walking, hitting your feet quickly while walks to his Battle Tartaruga Brothers truck. The only place that you could have a moment of peace and chill you out

You sit down on a mini couch and placed your head on both of your hands, trying to do that breathe exercise that Splinter taught you to calm down

You got even more anger when you noticed it didn't worked

"Damn!" You whispered, disappointed that your anger didn't desapeared

"Dove?" He called from driver's

You jumped

"WTF?! Wasn't he supposed to be in the lab?!" You thought

"What are you doing here?!"

"I must ask the same" he said as he looks behind towards you

"Are you okay?"

You just closed your eyes and take a few deep breaths to not explode, making your chest rise up and fall back. Slowly

And it made your boyfriend goes crazy

The truck shakes a little when your boyfriend gets off from it. You could hear his steps moving around the great machine and stopping in front of the opened door behind

He just stands there staring at you. His facial expression clearly showing surprise and shock at same time with your sudden change behaving

"What happened?" He simply asked

You glanced at him

He knew that you aren't in good mood but he has something "magic" to change this not-welcomed behaving

What is he doing? And why is he looking to the ground?

You kept in silence while he climbs into the truck with his head bowed like that, without even lifting it to look to where he is going

Then he stopped in front of you

"What are you doing?"

So slowly Donnie started to look up at you

You have to admit that you're getting scared by his act

He just stares at you

You eyes went wide

You yelled when he threw you on your back on the mini couch and fill you with tinkles. Too many tinkles

That smirk on his face

The anger started to wash away when your laughs filled the truck

You got to a conclusion that your boyfriend for sure has magic for everything

"Sorry *deep breath* about the *deep breath* way I acted, love *deep breath*

He shook his head "It's okay, dove. I just don't like see you down like that. What happened?" he strokes you hips

"I..." you took another deep breath "I argued with my father before I prepare myself to come here. I got so angry-"

"Ssshhh" he murmued, putting his big green finger above your lips "I know you're going through a not good time but let me make you feel better again"

You couldn't help but smile "I'd love it love..."

Mikey:

"No!"

"angelcakes, tell me!"

"No!"

"Tell me what happened! I wanna help you!"

"Mikey, not now, please!"

"Aw man!" he groaned

You used to be an angelcakes for him but... you're full of anger today

Why?

He grabs your shoulders and shakes you "I can't help you if you don't tell me what happened, sweet cheeks!"

Your anger grew up even more and you tried so hard to not throw it above your poor and cute boyfriend

"Mikey, enough! Can't you see that I'm not good today?!" you shoot

Mikey releases your shoulders and takes a step back. You never ever treated him like that—never ever since you both met each other

Well, let's guess that this baby terrapin is already get used by these kind of behaving, mainly coming from Raph

But he wasn't expecting it from you

You walked away slowly, head bowed

He doesn't like seeing you that way, so... Mikey to the rescue!

He thought for a moment about his plan

The "Making Y/N happy" plan

"So..."

You rolled your eyes

He remembered of something precious, something gold in the fridge. Something you love with all of your heart

He lets out an evil chuckle and walked towards the kitchen

Your eyes lift and followed his moviment through the lair

You asked to yourself what he was doing.

"Nah, just Mikey things" you thought

He opened the fridge and buried his head into it, looking for the "golden" sweet

You lift an eyebrow

"Ha!"

You jumped a little

He closed the fridge and looked back at you smirking

"I've got something that will bring my angelcakes back" he laughed as that villains or crazy scientists from cartoons

You shook your head and rolled your eyes

Mikey being Mikey

"Come on, sweetheart. Try to find out what I've got here"

"Mikey..."

"Come on"

"Mikey."

"It is a thing you LOVE"

"Mikey, please. My patience is almost exploding today"

"Oh, really?" He tilted his head, grinning "close your eyes, my angel"

You let out a sigh "Mikey, I'm-", "Close your eyes". Sighing heavily you finally closed your eyes.

You felt the sofa beside you sink and a hand landing on your shoulder "Open your mouth"

You sigh again and opened

Less then a second you feel a sweet testing, a familiar see sweet testing

A delicious sweet testing

Chocolate

You let out a soft moan

"I knew it" he grinned

"You always surprise me, Mikey..." you said while you are eating the choco

"Thank you!" he pulls you closer and whispered "buuuuut there's more something I've got here"

You glanced at him "What?"

He placed his hand behind your head and pulls you for a kiss. And this time you accepted, surrending yourself.

After a moment he pulled away

"FINALLY I made you happy! My plan worked!"

"Wait, your plan?" You smiled. "Yeah. My plans never goes wrong"

You love this boy so much!

He got into a conclusion that little things can make big changes

You're an amazing writer, and I don't want you pushing past your mental and emotional boundaries while writing this. I haven't personally read it because it's just a little too dark for my own personal preferences, but from what I've heard it's super dark. But please remember to drink some fluids, eat, sleep, and take time out of each day to go into a mental safe space. Your work is amazing and you deserve happiness!

The carnival's in town as everyone from all over the land of the rising sun go to one of the most underrated festivals in the land; Osaka Carnival. The fun games, great food, and amazing rides that it had was all in good fun for everyone to enjoy. Once Shingen heard for himself that the carnival was going to be in town tomorrow, he just had to call Kenshin to join him for the carnival. He was disappointed that he didn't show up last year, then again they weren't dating at the time. Maybe this year would go in his favor? He and Kenshin could at least compete in the games, kinda like a battlefield? Shingen was in Osaka for a quick vacation and the carnival would be the top of the cake. With that in mind, Shingen picked up the phone and began to text to Kenshin.

Shingen: My stoic dragon "nemesis", are you still awake?

Kenshin was comfortable on his futon at his Castle, just starting to head off to bed and sending a quick prayer to Bishamonten to thank the god of war for allowing him the pleasures of life. There was wine, business, and finally Shingen. Shingen was probably one of the most worthy friend and business partner he could ask for in this life. Although he didn't show much happiness on his stoic face, his actions show that he cares for him, especially when he accepted to be Shingen’s boyfriend. Speaking of Shingen… 'Bing Bing'. Kenshin heard his phone go off. "It is almost time to go to bed… Who's texting me?" He said, visibly annoyed. He picked up his phone and once he saw the message, he softened a little bit. It was Shingen.

Kenshin: Tiger of Kai, my "nemesis", I was about to go to bed, but I can talk for a bit.

Shingen gave a good-natured chuckle at Kenshin's message sent a couple of minutes later. Of course he forgot that Kenshin would be getting to bed around this time.

Shingen: Sorry about that, I was hoping maybe this year we can go to the carnival together. Think of it as a date.

"A date?" He mouthed to himself. When was the last time they had a date together? It had been a while. They were both taking it slowly so they wouldn't be discovered and to have it at a carnival, that everyone was going to…

Kenshin: Are you sure you want me to go?

Shingen was not giving up on making him go to the carnival. They were always competitive when it came to the games. A lightbulb went off in his head. He can use the games as an excuse for him to go.

Shingen: I bet I can win a lot more games than you. Don't worry I'll give you some prizes :)

Shingen always knew how to push Kenshin's competitiveness button. They both were like strategists in their own businesses but eventually one must come on top eventually. He really now was interested in this carnival but he would conceal his intentions to him.

Kenshin: It is tempting to go to the festival to have a friendly competition. Go have fun. Good night "nemesis"

Shingen shrugged at his message. At least he tried to convince him to go. At the back of his head, he did feel that Kenshin would come here. He just had that hunch.

Shingen: Good night. Don't have a rough night.

As soon as he got Shingen’s message, Kenshin got dressed again, called his limo driver, and took a blanket. He would now begin to surprise Shingen to the festival date. "Shingen, let's see who wins the most games." he thought with confidence. They always liked competitive plays over each other. He just thought of what kind of games would be there to play as the limo left with him inside, going to Osaka, as he drifted to sleep.

~The next morning- 8 AM~

Shingen saw the shining sun glimmer in the curtains as morning came and he was just starting to wake up from the tiger's slumber. This short bald man yawned as he sat up in the bed, slowly getting his act together. It was also very hot today when the festival and vacation was in the summer. He could only imagine what the south had to deal with like the Shimazu in the summer. After 10 minutes of just sitting there, he finally got up to brighten the room. The curtains opened and Shingen shielded his eyes from the brightness a bit. Once it got adjusted, he finally saw a limo in front of the hotel. It had the Uesugi symbol on the side and the limo was white. He could see Kenshin come out the doors. "Hahaha, I knew Kenshin would be here!" Shingen said to himself. He put on a tiger print t-shirt with some khaki shorts and some sandals.

Kenshin walked out of the limo with a nice short sleeved buttoned white shirt with white pants with some nice black loafers. He was casually sleeping the whole ride so he would be well rested for today. Carnivals are mostly energy sucking. The driver let him know he's here so he doesn't have to rest during the day. "Great Bishamonten, please give me strength to have fun today and beat Shingen in a whole bunch of games." He prayed. They both met in the lobby and gave a hug. "Haha, I knew you would come. So are you ready for the carnival?" Shingen asked. Kenshin gave a small smile and nodded. "I am. Looking at the clock means that it had just started." Said Kenshin as he looked at the clock which read 9:00A.M.

Looking out at the carnival laid out before them, it was full of life and high fun energy. Many games, food stands and other attractions can be seen before them. People were walking around them full of laughter and friendly talk. You can't really hear what they had to say because there were so many people and they were loud. Shingen and Kenshin simply walked side by side together holding pinkies looking out at what games they should play.

The first game they saw was kinda strange with a huge log and there were lines in the ground. Musashi was actually the one hosting that game. "Hey you two! Do you want to try the log toss? 1 yen to try it and the rules are clearly read on the sign." He managed to get Shingen and Kenshin's attention. "You want to have a go Kenshin?" Asked Shingen. "Sure" said Kenshin blatantly.

They both walk up to the wooden sign. It was well made with no chances that anyone can get a splinter and it looked really smooth for writing on as shown in words that are painted on. It says the following:

Log toss:

'You throw a log as far as you can. This can be played for competition. If you are solo, you win a prize no matter what. If you are against each other, then the winner gets a prize.'

Shingen was known to do some lifting at the gym sometimes, Kenshin watched him while he worked so he knew as well. They've decided to do the competition version. The prizes included stuffed animals, posters and pins. Shingen went first as he went and picked it up by the sides then he spinned around a few times getting ready for the wind up. He threw it up and away pretty far and it landed with a thud and the ground shaked a bit. Musashi ran to where the log went with a measuring tape and a flag. "150 feet-1st person!" Musashi announced. Kenshin smiled at Shingen’s impressive performance. It was as expected for him as was a worthy challenge for Kenshin to try to beat.

"You're next Kenshin." Shingen said as he stood back with a smirk, a smirk that Kenshin loved a lot. "I have practiced a bit in lifting." Kenshin remarked as he picked up the log. He winded up by standing back a bit then using the force that he gathered to launch the log forward as he stepped forward. It flew not as high as Shingen did but it definitely was going far. There was a thud in the distance and Musashi was running fast with the other marker. "Not bad! It's about… 160 feet. The second person wins!" Musashi announced happily as he went to pick out a prize. Kenshin kissed Shingen on the forehead proud of his own victory. "Well done 'nemesis'." Shingen said, congratulating him. Musashi gave Kenshin a big tiger plush. 'It would be perfect for Shingen.' Kenshin thought.

Many hours go by with more prizes, food, the times they went through a funhouse and a haunted house in a succession while holding many little toys, pins, posters, more stuffed animals. It was a lot to carry for a long time, then again they had played lots of games. Games were ring toss, balloon pop, guess what's approximately in the jar, bumper cars, test your strength, and many other games.

It was the last few minutes of the carnival to be open for the day. There was one more game they wanted to try for a magnificent dragon plush. Shingen was immediately reminded of Kenshin when he saw that plush. "Kenshin! Before we go let's try this game!" They both look at the bucket of water with ducks floating right along. The sign read the following:

Lucky Duck:

'You hook a duck on the hook stick provided to you. Get a star duck (which the star is on the bottom) to win any prize you want.'

"This game sounds simple and quick." Kenshin remarked. "You can do this game." Said Kenshin as he gave the game owner 1 yen to play the game.

Shingen concentrated on the pond itself like a fire trying to get hotter by the minute. Any of those ducks could have a star on the bottom and any number of the ducks could have stars. They all looked the same. All he could do would be to guess which one had the star and which ones didn't. He took the hook stick on the ground and just went for it, eyes closed. When he opened them again, he looked underneath the duck and a gold star was at the bottom. He won the game and the dragon. "This is great!" thought Shingen as he got the dragon in his hands.

As Shingen turned he saw Kenshin take the tiger plush out of the mass of prizes they won and handed it out like it was a gift for him. Shingen saw a slight blush on Kenshin's stoic face. "So umm… this is for you 'nemesis'." Kenshin said in a softer voice than usual. Shingen laughed out of kindness a little, knowing that Kenshin wasn't used to the sometimes sweet moments of their relationship. "Thank you 'nemesis'. In return, I will give you this dragon I just won." Shingen blushed a little bit as he received the tiger and Kenshin received the dragon. They soon divided all of the prizes in between them. Shingen’s vacation would go on and Kenshin would join in for the last week that Shingen had left.

ooc; You know, I never thought anyone would like Thoth other than my group of friends who gave him a chance. I was so nervous with him, that I tried to make him a weaker character and I just couldn’t do that haha. I’m still nervous about him, but I want you all to know...

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I really am thankful. From the fan art, to the threads, to meeting so many wonderful people, I think it’s time to shine a light on those who I’ve chatted with, and gotten to know as well! Even if it’s just a simple hello, it makes my day. You guys are all wonderful, and I’m beyond happy over this. *laughing* Oh, so THIS is why jokes about the competent woman being the umbrella all along.

…I totally forgot that Taako had the Flaming Raging Poisoning Sword of Doom on his back through this WHOLE ADVENTURE. Dude. You nearly DIED and you didn't think to hand that to Magnus?

Aah, Edward is trying to rip of Magnus-quin's arm.

AAAAH, Magnus starts to remember! He remembers his home world!

Heroic sacrifice from Cam! Which, yeah, his options were… not good, regardless, this is probably a better exit for him. But, yeep.

"Okay. I’m going to use the Ring of the Grammarian—

Justin: Yes.

Griffin: [palpable despair] Oh my god."

Well, you're the one that lets them have incredibly unpredictable magic items, Griffin.

Ah, no, Merle's up but Taako's down! I'm on the edge of my seat.

They're all -- including Magnus himself -- being very determined to beat his body into a pulp. This doesn't seem like it would help with getting him back INTO it.

WHOOOOO! Lup ate Edward!

HAhahah, no, not even that. She sucked him in so she could BEAT HIM UP for hurting her brother and then she kicked him out again.

Yeep, Lydia just lost her anchor.

"Griffin: With her last, furious act, Lydia destroyed your body."

Holy FUCK, I didn't see that coming.

Barry's like, nodding, Magnus should get it. Then when Taako asks he's just, eh, shrug.

"The Animus Bell: How would you like to live forever?

Magnus: I’d hate it. Shut the fuck up."

It's been a LONG DAY, and Magnus has limited patience for you guys coming on like sleazy salespeople.

Aww, Antonia heals Taako. Who clearly wants to babble that he didn't press forsake on them, but stops himself.

"Griffin: I think Magnus has his arm, but it’s not attached. I think that would take some time to fix.

Justin: Okay.

Travis: I hit the Red Robe with it!"

*cracks up*

Aw, and Antonia is trying to comfort Taako, who, true to form, is quick to claim to accept it. He seems slightly hysterical, really, which is understandable.

Oh, so it was that party, and Sterling forsook them. Which doesn't explain why they saw halfling adventurers… I guess the lichs were lying?

Aaaaaaah, the cup was Magnus' and now we have the memory of him leaving it with Jack and June.

"It’s the Voidfish. Floating up into its tank is a thick book bound in blue leather and silver trim."

So, that's what Lucrecia fed it.
