You need some Rise!Splinter, so here we go: Splinter finds out that their boys are in a relationship (with their own s/o, of course!) Aaaand... Goes into father mode. You know: wanting to know details, giving date advices, checking if their lover is "good enough" for his boys... Expect embarassment situation😆

OHMYGOD THE POTENTIALL

RISE SLINTER WHEN HE FINDS OUT HIS BOYS ARE DATING

Leo:

Splinter knows?

Fucking how???

He did his absolute best to keep Splinter in the dark because he knew this would happen-

Splinter had pulled him aside to have a talk.

Little did he know it was THE talk.

You know the one.

Leo was mortified.

After that, Splinter demanded to know all the "Juicy details." as he put it.

Uh, yeah no.

Oh my god when Splinter meets you Leo wants to crawl into the ground and die of embarrassment.

Why couldn't he ask normal questions like, "What are your hobbies?" or "How many siblings do you have?" No he had to ask if you ever planned to marry his son.

Both you and Leo did a doubke take and grew as red as tomatoes.

Then Splinter left, smiling and laughing.

Leo is 100% sure that Splinter just want to embarrass him.

Raph:

Actually, Splinter was the first to know when you guys start dating.

Unlike Leo, Raph felt it was important for his dad to know.

He wasn't however, expecting to sit with his dad for hours, while Splinter gave him dating advice.

Then of course, "And finally, I demand to meet the person who has your love. I must make sure they are good enough for you."

Raph was nervous as all hell the day you were set to meet the fam, before he left to get you, his brothers kept complaining about his fear stink.

Splinter gave you a quick once over, smiled, then flashed Raph a thumbs up.

"Good job." he said, then spent the rest of dinner getting to know you

*relief*

Donnie:

No,

Nononono

The utter embarrassment he feels at how his father is acting.

He is positivly mortified.

No, father, you are not getting details.

Have we kissed yet?

I am not telling you.

No you cannot meet them yet.

Why?

You know why.

When he does meet you, Donnie is terrified that Splinter will embarrass him.

And he does exactly that,

When Splinter see's you, it goes exactly like this, "Are you sure? You could do so much better."

"Father, that is incredibly rude. I love them-"

"I am not talking to you, I'm talking to them."

He then grabbed your hands and pulled you down to his level, "This entire family is crazy, get out while you still have the chance."

"DAD-"

Mikey:

I'm sorry what?

His youngest is dating?

No way, he's just a baby!

Wait, he's a teenager?

Oh.

WELL STILL-

The talk is unavoidable.

And Mikey is red for DAYS afterward.

Even then, he's really excited for you to meet his dad.

When Splinter meets you,

You are instantly his new favorite, already telling Mikey how he has to marry you, leaving the both of you blushy and embarrassed.

Whenever you visit now, Splinter is always in Mikey's line of sight, attrmpting to signal advice to his youngest.

It does not work.

Could you tell me more about the cousins au?

GLADLY (even tho there isn't much to talk about lol) Here we go!

Cousins AU is just an au where the 2003, 2012 and Rise turtles (since these are the versions I'm most familiar with) have known each other since always and grew up together. They visit each other very often and just generally treat each other like cousins, hence the name! :D

Here's the age-chart for when they're kids, which is how I mostly draw them in this au. 2003 Leo is the oldest of the whole bunch (THE big bro) and Rise Mikey is the baby (everyone loves him and can ya blame them?).

I haven't really thought about the story, but if I had to explain how they met, I'd say that younger Rise Splinter used his portal thingy wrong in a stressful situation and somehow went to a whole different dimension, where he met another rat-dad. They became friends and then decided to look for even more dimensions and found the third Splinter. From that moment they just visited each other regularly and lived like a big fam!

Also here's a little info about my fav girl. Rise April is the only one who have known the boys since they were kids in canon, so I decided it'd be the same in this au (imagine having 12 brothers, like damn).

Hope this explains things a little! It's not a story/plot driven au, it's just mostly some silly ideas and little stories I come up with! Love y'all <3

Can we please normalize 2012Splinter being stern outwardly but his inward thoughts are just the fluffiest things ever instead of harping on Splinter being stern inside and out and also he’s abusive and mean and needs to be a better person because reasons??

I’ve read a few of the latest fascinations of the fandom making him 78.5% worse than he needs to be, and it’s fine and all, ya’ll do you, but there’s just something about the early 2012 fanfics where Splinter refers to his full grown, ninja/alien battling sons as “my little boys” in a mental monologue where you can just feel the fondness radiating from it that absolutely kills me.

Think about the potential here. And not just in fanfiction! I mean, something like delicately whispering, “My Donatello” when Donnie is hurting and making him feel safe because of it??

THAT KINDA BLOW IS DEVASTATING, I TELL YOU

My sons is how he vocalizes his love, but consider all the things he could say subconsciously?? I swear, the addition of possessive air like that is totally in character too, because he basically kept them to himself for fifteen years. Gosh, and the way he reacts when ANYONE harms/scares his kids?? Him saying this, especially during some kind of fight scene where he is defending them would be SO HIM.

So whenever they act out, or are just ‘disrespectful’ in ant term of the sense he will begin saying they are ‘sick’ even if they are completely healthy, and start raiding their room. He will then take everything but their clothes, pillows, sheets, and bed frames and get rid of them permanently, sometimes he will even make them watch.

This happens to Mikey a lot, to the point anything actually valuable he has he stashes in Raph’s room since Raph barely gets in trouble. That ofcourse means Raph has special hiding places for everyone’s valuables so if he does get in trouble Splinter won’t be able to find it.

Donnie is very paranoid of ‘being sick’ (with all his parts, books he’s collected over the years, passion projects, ect.) so he actually has a hideout in a abandoned warehouse he usually keeps all him inventions, and projects. He’ll sneak out sometimes to go and work on things, but usually goes out when everyone does their own thing. The only one who knows abt this is Leo >:)
