Not trying to burst bubbles or anything, honestly I’m just confused. In episode 1 where after an assassination job they go to the daycare to pick up Miri and then the Kazuki voiceover talks about how she came to be with them last December. After that and the OP, subtitles say several months earlier and then the episode begins. Wouldn’t that beginning scene then mean it took place somewhere in July or August? Now it’s December so really it’s not certain Miri’s back with her Papas after the end of episode 13. I just noticed that after rewatching and now I’m really hoping I’m wrong.

I do get where you're coming from but then WHY have that scene in the first place?? If they do separate it would make the opening scene a complete red herring which, by this episode and the ones before is uncharacteristic of the writers.
