Consider it a meeting of the different styles. A bit more rock-ish than Charles, but more wistful than Rain and Petra. The song is about a dissatisfied wife or a lover? There is a bit of an anger there not present in other songs, and it is a nice touch.

One of the classic folk rock songs about a girl who is selling apples. Kind of have that medieval fairytale where we see the girl is in… limbo? I don’t really know, but the song seems to be one of the best in regards to these fantasy songs, much like Kagerou… perhaps if Jin actually used GUMI, this might be one of his song sounds like…

#383 - Ikanaide (Sohta) [Kaai Yuki]

First solo Yuki song on this list. I always like the guitar on this song, so I kind of get miffe when the cover does away with it. Yuki’s soft voice really fits the desperation of Don’t Go from a lover who has to leave faraway. Showcases Yuki’s strength which only brought to full force in the recent years with another Yuki song later on the list.

#384 - Dramaturgy (Eve) [Hatsune Miku]

Achievement Date: 18-05-07, Upload Date: 17-10-10

Song that brought Eve into something more than utatite who writes songs. Probably one of the songs where the original and the self-covers feels truly original, the dramatic intro betrays what is a pretty fun song (it reminds me of Ballerina Girl, actually) although the lyrics are still pretty dramatic. It almost feels like a musical song in some sense.  

#385 - Kimagure Mercy (HachiojiP) [Hatsune Miku]

Yes, it took quite a while for this masterpiece to reach a million. With a stunning M/V that changed the whole VOCALOID game, this song doesn’t just get its worth from the highly animated M/V but the music is very much in Hachioji’s wheelhouse. The song is about a girl who is in a one-sided love and desperately wants the attention, which kind of goes back to Miku’s tsundere tendency in her older songs. I guess crown reminds me of World is Mine and other songs like those. 

#386 - How to Warp (Nayutan Seijin) [Hatsune Miku]

Achievement Date: 18-05-10, Upload Date: 15-09-01

Other than Andromeda Andromeda, this song feels more like songs with N.S. would be most known for, which makes its placement and color interesting. It’s kind of interesting this song made it to the list this late, perhaps the hook wasn’t good enough?

#387 - It’s Just Life (Nuyuri) [flower, Yuzuki Yukari]

Yes, this was Nuyuri’s first song to hit the list. Kind of underrated, even though popular, I think the song shows the transition between the solo and duet era, the stylish progression is there but the more inspiring Kanzaki Iori style duet is starting to appear. Yukari is barely there, but it is recognizable with a close look. 

#388 - Taketori Overnight Sensation (HoneyWorks) [Kagamine Rin, Len]

Achievement Date: 18-05-27, Upload Date: 12-09-28

Based on the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, it sounds more like a Jesus-P song than a HoneyWorks song, which is who wrote the song. I guess this is their earlier effort, and yes it’s their last song before going with the Confession series. It’s fine.
