Bob Floyd as a boyfriend.
You met at Top Gun, maybe you're a fellow aviator, or a medic, etc.
Phoenix had to tell you his name the first time you met him, because the only thing he could think was that his mission had gone south, and this was an angel welcoming him to Heaven.
After the initial shock wore off, the two of you became really good friends, hanging out someplace much quieter than The Hard Deck, maybe a diner Bob found off the beaten path or something.
It took him almost six months to ask you out on a date, and the only reason he pulled the trigger was because Rooster found out about his feelings, and threatened to ask you first if he didn't.
Your first date is at the diner, because it's become your place, and that's where Bob feels most comfortable.
The tips of his ears always blush when you call him Bobby, and you thought he was going to turn purple the first time you called him baby.
He calls you Darlin' in that twang of his, and it makes you melt Every. Single. Time.
He loves touching you, but is really shy about it, so you have to initiate a lot of it at first.
He loves holding your hand when you're watching a movie, and playing with your fingers; most of the time he doesn't even realize he's doing it.
If the two of you are cooking, he'll sneak up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist, kissing your cheek, and asking about your day.
He brings you flowers at least once a week, sometimes just a wildflower he saw on the side of the road, but it always makes you smile.
He'd do anything to make you smile, including dancing with you in the kitchen, even though he doesn't know how, so you promise to teach him.
When you do go to The Hard Deck, you think that the teasing is going to bother him, but he knows that he has you, and just smiles at his teammates before giving them the finger.
You can always tell when he's had a bad day at work, because he's even quieter than usual, and the muscle in his jaw won't stay still. That's when you unlock your secret power of pulling his head into your lap and scratching at his scalp until he lets everything go.
Sometimes you take his glasses off just to stare at him, and it makes him blush, because 'you're the pretty one in the relationship, not me Darlin''.
Although you love every Bob, sleepy Bob is your favorite, because he's not shy with his affection, and unafraid to wake you up by covering your face in kisses.
