I worked overtime so much on this project that I forgot to post it (IT KEEPS HAPPENING) but here’s some screenshots from a video I made about how we might use XR to reduce material waste in the future!

I created most of the 3D models you see in these images, and I also assigned physics to them so that they behave realistically when touched.

for the rest I just downloaded them - because everything published to Figmin XR is creative commons. believe it or not, I’m not the only holographic toymaker out there!! 🤯

Too good for Iroh.

I was fourteen when Iroh got married. His wife was the perfect princess, strict, strong, loyal and intelligent. Not the kind of princess who tries to send secret intimate letters to stinky peasants behind her prince and husband's back, but Iroh never appreciated his privileges.

She was so strong and proper that she could afford to be kind. No one could resist her charm. Everyone wanted to please her, she had a curious effect on people. My father was very nice to her, too (because, of course, she never sneezed into the portrait of his dead wife, unlike his other daughter-in-law), and for a while he was in a better mood, even around me. She was even nice to me too, probably because she knew that even at such a young age I already held immense power and deserved the recognition of a proper prince. She used to ask me to show her my best firebending moves. Maybe that's what it feels like to have a mother.

When she died, Iroh, Lu Ten, and my father got through it together. Losing his wife made Iroh and my father even closer, and there was a new kind of understanding between them. And as before, the two forgot about me again. Of all the stupid things Iroh has done in his life, letting his wife die must have been the worst. I don't think I ever forgave him.

i promised myself i wouldn't get pulled back in to miraculous, but i did watch the first ep of season 5 so lemme just type out my feelings about sentiadrien even tho it isn't technically canon yet.

i still hate it because it makes adrien super disposable, but it also creates a little loophole for the whole "things must stay in balance" karmic life-for-a-life wish thing. if gabe gets his wish and uses (senti)adrien's life as collateral to bring back emilie, he can then just use the peacock miraculous to sentimonster adrien back into existence. the same exact adrien. because this show has purposely erased all common sense limits on magic--we saw this last season with alya declaring that ladybug could make anti-akuma charms because she is the limit of her own power and then again when gabe decided to make mega akumas. if you can dream it, you can do it! so that means infinite sentiadriens if you want (wellll, 1 per person unless we want to throw out that rule as well because maybe if we dream hard enough that limit also goes away). who's to say that's not the exact same adrien? reformed from the same exact molecules with all the same memories and personality? it's limitless magic! anything's possible and adrien is literally disposable!

the result? both the whole "oooh nooo sentimonsters can get snapped out of existence! so precious and delicate" thing and the whole point of the karmic force of the wish are just thrown out the window too because nothing matters. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

As the area then was just an Industrial Dump with Rails that SF Muni Railway has been getting rid of the Old Trolley Buses since they been on the streets since 1947. So what they were doing is placing them on Flat Rail Cars, and shipping them to Mexico. As I did on one Sunday that I boarded a bus that was clean, and the one was Bus ID 736 as it was assigned on the 22 Fillmore line so I set up the camera, and carefully meter for the interior, and moving aligned with the poles as I had one lens, and using Fujicolor 400 color print when it was announced as Kodak had theirs but the Fuji Film was my film to use, and so I took 3 shots of each side from left to middle to right. After the shots that I wanted something from the bus in which I noticed that the bus destination roll was still intact so I took it for a souvenir. Since as I born in San Francisco as when I was a little boy that I have seen these buses, and rode them with my Mom in going to UCSF every Fridays as the buses we the only way to go in the city from these old buses to the new Flyers. Then I also got the SF MUNI Wooden Box, and a mirror, and one of the turn signal as I Jerry rid to be a light switch for my room. After I got found the shot mounted that later I scanned it as I restore the original colors as the print was fading, and then eliminated the lines were they were stitched .

I don’t talk about it much but one of my biggest interests is nuclear energy and disasters and I see that Netflix has recently added a new dramatized series on Fukushima daiichi so 👀

I’ve actually been really hoping for a docu series on the event and aftermath for a while, and even though I’m not big on the dramatized series I’m still super excited that this is happening because it might open the door for a proper documentary series in the near future

#anyways please don’t let shows deter you from supporting nuclear energy #every disaster we have experienced has drastically improved the safety of nuclear energy practices #I hate the fear mongering that often accompanies information about these disasters #even when Chernobyl happened in Russia the same accident could not have happened in the us #because rbmk type reactors were built with flaws thst had already been intentionally eliminated in American reactors #and the Fukushima disaster was a major flaw in preparation for natural disasters that should have been preventable #but the station was built with safety features for a large earthquake OR a tsunami but not both #which should have been considered given the high probability of the two combining #but instead of implimenting precautions for future natural disasters Japan shut down all nuclear facilities in the country #we need nuclear now more than ever if we want to continue industrializing without producing more greenhouse #and I wish people understood more about how nuclear power and waste disposal actually works #that was long whoops had a real autism moment there #anyways it’s called the days
