For inaisekai. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to write about my painful otp.

She knew that movie, the one about Apollon and Sylvie, the one that Amata kept talking about one day, just after class. The girls had been curious as to where he had been living before he went to Neo DEAVA, and she, always invisible, her stuffed toy the only indication that she was present, listened in.

Yunoha Thrul heard about the concept of 'soul mates'; it was a mystifying concept, and it thrilled and at the same time puzzled her. Was it even possible that, even after so many years, one's soul would be able to recognize its mate's?

She knew that movies tend to romanticize such concepts, but Yunoha told herself that if there really was such a thing, she just hoped that it would not catch her by surprise.

... But it did.

Days later, Akbarjin Batbayar, the new transfer student, had been caught sneaking inside the girls' changing room, and at the look on his face that clearly showed confusion, she knew she had to save him from the girls' wrath, especially MIX's, who was well-known to hate men.

She did not know why she would suddenly step in to help out someone whom she barely knew but...

Somehow, she saw herself in Jin when she first transferred to Neo DEAVA... and that they, somehow, had a connection, despite this being the first time they had talked.

Unconsciously, within her, she knew, at last, that she found a kindred spirit.

Her soulmate.

As much as she wanted to have her own happy ending, she couldn't, wouldn't get the own happy ending that she deserved. The Fates were cruel... and their enemy had been merciless, especially when he defied the orders.

The fact that Akbarjin, or rather, Jin Muso, had been killed in action,  right before her very eyes, and while in her arms, had nearly taken all of her will to live.

Was this what they called 'love'?

If it was, then no more.

Once was enough; she loved, no, she still loves him with all her heart, even if he had passed on, and Jin will always live through her. He, the boy from Altair, had protected her, had shown her how to live her life, how to be happy, and how to be more confident, albeit briefly.

Jin Muso had taken her heart along with him, as she knew with confidence that she would never love anyone else until the time came to pass.

She may be no Sylvie, and he may not be her Apollon, but somehow, someway, she believed that after 12,000 years, they would be fated to meet again.
