The origin of Sifo's hair loopies?
"Jo, what are you doing?," Sifo tried to peer at her busy fingers doing... something with a section of hair at the side of his forehead.
"Hush, hold still." She sent him a cautionary jab over the Force, concentrated solely on her little project. "I just learned how to do this, so don't fuck this up."
What 'this' was got revealed to Sifo-Dyas about half an hour later as he peered curiously into a reflective bit of a spoon (due to grievous lack of mirrors in the Archives). He tilted his head, shaking it a bit, the movement sending Jocasta's hairdresserial masterworks (?) swaying.
"And what are they?," he asked again, looking at his very proud looking friend.
"It's a Knight-braid," Jocasta said proudly, "I learned about them when I visited Jedha. Apparently they fell out of fashion already back in Grandmaster Sunrider's time, but there's still records of how to do them."
Sifo looked back into the spoon. Shook the braids some more. "Knight braids, huh," he murmured, "I've never heard of those. You sure that was a real thing that existed?"
She shrugged, already going back to her half-finished kaf she'd gotten before their little pause mid mission-prep. It must have been ice cold by now, Sifo would never understand how she could still drink it like that.
"Does it matter if they did?," she quipped back, before downing the contents of the cup. "They're cute and they suit you. Way better than that stupid beard Yan has been growing out."
Oh, so this was about the beard.
Sifo should have known.
"Maybe if it grows long enough you can braid that too?," he couldn't help but tease her, "You know, get some old traditions up and going again? Maybe start a new trend while you're at it?"
All he got was a look that could have shock-frozen Mustafar twice over. "Do not," she mocked throwing the kf cup at him, "even joke about that, Sifo. I'd rather personally shave down Master Tyvokka before touching that... thing."
Sifo laughed, fingers already reaching to play with the new braids. They were fun. "Oh, don't act like that. You can't fault him for trying to hide his babyface. There's been talks of him getting offered a Council Seat, you know. He's been stressing out over it all month."
"And his solutions to that was to grow a beard over it?" Jocasta sounded dubious. "I don't know. Sounds like a case for the mind healer to me."
"Oh shut it," he flicked her though the Force, "I think it looks stately."
"Of course you do." Her defiant murmur was barely audible, buried behind the datapad she'd pulled out. "Suckup."
"Not everyone is on a crusade against all facial hair like you are," Sifo singsonged happily, ignoring her dramatic mood (it was mostly an act anyways). "A bit of self expression won't do our dear Yan any harm."
Jocasta's face darkened further. "Not him maybe, but just see how you'll feel about it when it gives you beard-burn. That shit sucks."
Sifo snickered. "Advice taken."
"I'm serious, Sy."
"And I'll keep it in mind, Jo." He scooted over to her, flinging one of the newly installed braids against her cheek. "Plus, you've given me the weapons to defend myself now, haven't you?"
With an annoyed groan, Jocasta simply reached out, quick as lightning, and grabbed Sy's entire face, pushing him away. "Stop that you little kriffer," she complained, "I'm already regretting this, just so you know."
Sifo let himself be pushed away. Then he waited a few moments, before immediately diving back in, tackling his smaller friend in a hug. "Nahh," he said happily, rubing his face against her side, "You love me. You love the braids. Show me how to do them myself?"
"You're gonna keep them?," she asked, peering down on him. It was evident that she was flattered by the idea. Flattered that he'd liked them.
Sifo grinned up at her. "Of course. As I said, I gotta be able to beat back Yan's beard-attacks, don't I."
"Hmm." She looked off, clearly fighting down a smile. "I'll see what I can do."

i'm gonna leave published up to my followers for suggestions because i have been reading so many fics and the mistborn trilogy so ive got nothing there
i can give you a ficrec for joel and ellie in canon or au situations that i love
and i can offer the movies like prospect with a grumpy teen girl and a silly man that adopts her and fics revolving around that
but published specifically in book form as an original i must leave to the nerds that follow me unfortunately hopefully someone can help you find what you're looking for in the replies (send an ask on anonymous and i'll post it or reply to this)

Now that I am in fact completely caught up I have a lot more to say on this
Nobody here has been to a doctor or dentist for a regular checkup in like ten years
Aerith and Even, upon realizing this, are absolutely going to get on their case and possibly start nagging them about therapy to
Aqua coming back from The RoD and remembering she missed her surgery that was scheduled 12 years ago when the back of her mouth started hurting
Terra’s were removed ages ago and aqua remembers the like 3 days he spent sleeping off the drugs lol (healing magic has its limits and too much healing magic would just regrow the teeth which is simply counterproductive.)
The relevant rg nobodies (aka Lea and Isa, and Ienzo) probably had their teeth removed when/if they became a problem or before they became nobodies
Going to be honest with you I’m not sure daybreak kids even know what wisdom teeth are but if they did it was probably dealt with when it became a problem
Who the fuck knows with demyx
Same with vanitas like seriously i haven’t a clue go wild
Most of the younger generation and ven have not had theirs in yet/don’t need them taken out for a few more years or whatever except riku but he doesn’t know that because of fact #1

What do you think the green king would be like if he were alive? I mean, if he hadn't died as a child. How much did his personality change when he became a zombie? Or was he like this in life?
I believe it’s been mentioned by Gora that Hisui’s personality didn’t change much when he became King, he and his family were just like that (tbh I’m a bit ‘eh’ at that explanation though, it feels like an easy way to avoid having to think about the question). I imagine he would have been at least a bit different if he hadn’t died in the Kagutsu Incident though, considering that he ended up having no real face to face interaction with others besides Iwafune and Kotosaka (and eventually Yukari and then Sukuna, but there were at least a few years there that it was just him, the old guy and the parrot). I imagine he would probably still be a big fan of video games and just generally interested in the internet and computers, like similar to super nerd Gakuen K Hisui. I feel like Hisui shows several moments of real curiosity and I could see that seeping into his personality when he’s older, that he likes to try a lot of new things and learn about the world. If he’d been a normal kid I feel like he would be the sort that people aren’t sure about at first but who still manages to gather a close circle of friends around him, like even if he didn’t die he would still have that essence of a ‘King’ inside of him.

Hi Dragons, I noticed you've mentioned Star Wars on your blog before and was wondering what parts of it you've seen (ie: trilogies, tv series etc). If you haven't watched Star Wars Rebels before and have the time, I highly recommend it. I think you would like it based on the shows you've watched.
I have seen all three trilogies (the last two sequel movies largely against my will) once, and maybe twice for the original, but more than 13ish years ago so it's been a while. My salt regarding the sequel trilogy knows no bounds as someone who had Finn as their favourite character (and he's still one of my favourite boys.) I also liked Rogue One as a war movie even if I found it just passable character wise and have not seen a Solo Story, even if I shall probably check it out someday if only because my boy John Powell did the soundtrack and I freaking love John Powell.
We talked about star wars in some of my English lit courses in university / I’ve always put it under the fantasy umbrella where it’s a fantasy story that just happens to be set in space. My fantasy specific analysis courses were some of my faves tbh!
I'm not interested in the live action star wars TV stuff but I do know I'd probably enjoy the TV shows. I think I've seen maybe an episode or two of Rebels and know some of the spoilers, and I definitely saw some of the Clone Wars on TV growing up. I've meant to get into the tv show proper but it's a commitment and I found the beginning a bit slow going, but I'm sure I'll inevitably watch that and then Rebels through with my partner, tbh.

Dp x Dc or just Dp things I (personally) want to see more of.
Just some stuff I've seen and really liked but never see enough of.
Danny is very casually a genius and/or skilled (engineering, gymnastics, really any skill you pick):
There isn't enough of it tbh. I dont think people realise just how smart and skilled he is. Being a ghost probably made him very flexible and gave him extra abilities the average human may not have. Also he comes from a family of scientists, yeah maybe up against them he doesn't seem smart, but being "smart" comes in different forms. More often than not the ability to be smart comes from your ability to pick up on things, retain information, understand information, and use that information accordingly. Danny does that, especially with his villains. He even finds outside the box ways to defeat his villains. Like tricking Freakshow into becoming a ghost.
I just think its under utilized. A lot of Teen heros are geniuses but no one ecknowledges it. Hell, you can make it that Danny doesn't even realise just how smart he is. He doubts it and often thinks he's one of the dumber people in the room. But when sleep deprived and running on a cup of coffee he can solve a problem he hasn't even seen before the konk out for an hour.
Danny has BEEF with the JL or isn't outright a fan:
In a lot of fics the JL (especially Batman) are huge hypocrites. Like they'll barge into Amity trying to solve problems that don't even effect them, screw things up more, then offer Danny more training. Hello????? You guys being there caused the problem???? Then, in other things Batman preaches about territory and Danny will get threatened or treated with suspicion for even stepping foot NEAR Gothem, but then barges into his territory like its his buisness.
Let Danny call them out. Let him point out that everything has been fine untill they showed up. Let him get MAD. This is HIS territory, HIS haunt, HIS people. These guys have done nothing for him! Why should he accept their help when their help only makes things worse? In fics where they help him because he needed it and ended up in Gotham let him be suspicious and careful. He doesn't need to be vivasected or hurt to be warry of the crime fighting furries he just met.
Mans has the experience to know you can't trust anyone untill they prove you can.
Danny should be casually overpowered and spooky:
This isn't even he has to be experienced. He is so used to his powers he doesn't realise how scary it is. He will casually stop a punch from superman, laugh, quipe, then punch back.
He accidentally breaks stuff, walks through things, glows, its so normal for him. He apologizes and does it again because he forgot. He genuinly has no idea how strong he is, he just knows he needs to be soft on humans.
Danny and Phantom are very different personalities:
I'm not saying they're two different people. They have the same mind same person. But the way they act is so different. Danny is grumpy, quiet, whimpy. Danny is a loser, and everyone knows it. Phantom, on the other hand, is confident, he jokes, smiles, makes a game out of his struggles, he's strong. Phantom is just a good guy. Everyone (minus others) loves him!
This happens because Danny is more comfortable as Phantom or Vise Versa. Sertant trates carry over, they're nerds, they're smart, they enjoy a good pun, they're sassy. But because Danny is a loser everyone sees it as lame, but with Phantom its endearing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
None of this means you need to get rid of silly nerdy Danny. You can have that but all these other things ad depth to his character. Hes smart but not confident, he's kind but not naive, he's powerful but not violent, and he finds comfort in the fact no one knows him.
Idk. I'm not a big fanfic writer so i thought i would just share and see what others do with it.
