Do you have a headcanon voice actor for Oranhamme? Or can you maybe describe how he sounds like in your head?

I never was able to pinpoint a voice actor unfortunately. Many have shared their headcanons but I just could never find that exact pitch and tone I wanted for him.  But some inspirations for his voice are:Sinclair from BioshockDaddy La Beouf from Princess and the FrogLil Gideon from Gravity FallsI think Daddy La Beouf is close in terms of pitch. I never imagined Oranhamme to have a very low pitched voice. He’s not a super slow talker either. So in a way I guess Daddy La Beouf would be a good starting point to branch out from.Sinclair has a certain classiness about him that I like for Oranhamme. I always thought of him as being very polite and very charming. When I listened to Sinclair speaking I did like how suave he could be. However, Oranhamme to me isn’t meant to be necessarily seductive more, welcoming, inviting. Kinda like he makes ya feel at home when you talk to him, even if you just met you feel like you’ve chatted before.Lil Gideon may seem a little odd in this mix but I’ve always loved how animated his voice gets. Theres such a great range of emotion it covers that I dont get from Sinclair and Daddy La Beof. I think specifically it is Lil Gideon’s anger that kinda gave me inspiration for Oranhamme. Oranhamme does not get mad too easily but when he loses his temper its really bad. I’ve drawn him with some big angry expressions and I think Lil Gideon’s wrath really just fit that well.I hope that helps?

Anne stared at the present in her lap. It wasn't surprising, it looked like any kind of gift one would find. Compared to Amphibia, the gift paper was sleek, easy to cling to with her fingers, and when she let her digits lie around on the ribbons they stuck to her with annoying ease.

Right now her focus had been split between that and her friend.

A few feet away from her, a green newt had enthusiastically paced and jumped around the couch Anne sat on. She’d been rambling about some news over the city that Anne couldn't quite catch, and her body shimmered in turquoise and emerald due to the aquarium behind them. And no one seemed to mind the very expensive aquarium at all except Anne herself!

Ever since she reunited with Marcy in the middle of the city, it had been hard getting used to everything. Sure, she was used to the fact buildings were geometric and had weird dark magic going on, but to be placed in Earth's equivalent of a castle was one of the more stranger moments of her life.

And right now, being recognized by the mayor and not placed in mortal peril was the newest bizarre thing.

"Oh, Anne, isn't this exciting?" Marcy swung her tail around in glee. She was decked in not her scouting garb, but a 'I love Hollywood!' shirt, happily gesturing around with her hands. "I've been attempting to track you guys for so long and now that we're alone it feels like I'm dreaming." "I feel like I'm dreaming too." Anne fumbled with the ends of her present. "After all the talk Sprig had over government dissections and stuff, I expected more danger but this is a neat change of pace!"

Anne had to admit that wasn't all. Finding Marcy had just been big in general. In a large place like Los Angels — how did they say it again? — Anne thought it would take weeks or months for them to get a clue on where to go. Sure, she got Sasha...for a little while, then after that Anne had been lost with her family on where to go ever since.

But here was Marcy in the flesh, being alive and well. Safe and sound.

"Oh trust me, the government's pretty lenient." Marcy smiled more. She finally calmed down and sat next to Anne, her slender head peaking down at the gift box's ribboned lid. "Mayor Andrias thought I was a creature who deserved help and he's been helping me find you guys ever since."

Anne smiled softly. "He sounds serious about doing this. It took three months just to find you." "Oh yeah. He may be Mayor but he's a big goof once you get used to him. All I need to do is lay low and he'll basically cover me for any expenses or research I've down in the city building." With that, Marcy pulled out her journal. Anne remembered seeing it before. Whenever Marcy came down to visit the Valley, she’d always have it on her so she could sketch whatever caught her eye. Right now, the only thing on the current page was of Anne and her host family. All roughened out in quick pencil. "And he'll cover you and the Plantars if you need a place to stay!"

She swore her cheeks heated up at the drawing, nodding more when Marcy stared at her expectantly. "Oh yeah, he debriefed us about that! Something about a high tier motel just east of here, although I'm not exactly sure."

Marcy's tail batted against the couch leather. "That's great! I'll come pick you up whenever I can."

Anne blinked. Well, that was new. "I thought you said you needed to lay low."

"Oh yeah, I am. Just long as my guardians keep me away from the public eye I'm able to go anywhere." In a flash, Marcy pulled out a mask, a hoodie, and what looked to be glasses. "Just gotta keep my more noticeable features out of sight and boom, I'm the same as any other human on the street."

"Huh." Anne bore down at her present. "I just hid in alleyways and Sprig's backpack for most of the time. That sounds a lot better."

Marcy chuckled. "It isn't too late to wear a disguise, Anne. We're here now, and isn't that what matters?"

She hummed. Tapped her fingers against the gift paper. "I mean. You're right."

"That should be our first thing on the agenda," Marcy said. "Getting you a burger from the best joint I know, and then plan out the coolest places this side of LA. I'm sure Mrs. Olivia has some clothes we can borrow for you." Anne smiled. "Sounds great!"

"Also." Anne yelped as something wrapped snugly around her, then eased when she remembered what it was. Right. Right. Marce had a tail. "Don't you wanna open your present? You've kinda been fiddling with it for a while."

"Oh totally." She'd been listening to Marcy for so long, she almost forgot. "Gimme a sec and I will."

With some fiddling, Anne pulled the strands and wrapping off, and plopped off the lid. Inside she found a fabric. A fur that brushed against her skin, left her body bristled in instinctual weariness that inside was some hunted-down beast.

"Hey, it won't bite. I promise."

A few more pulls and the fabric unfurled itself into a long cover. A blanket. A blanket where the initials of LA lay embroidered into its material, and every time Anne brushed her fingers against it, she was reminded of warmth. Of somewhere else.

"I know Los Angeles is really new to you, what with the almost capture and everything, so I wanted to welcome you somehow." Marcy smiled more. Her tail pulled Anne further to her, gave a small tug on the fabric until it enveloped them both, and Anne couldn't help but exhale when she did. "With something more familiar?"

Oh, Anne knew what that meant.

It had been so long since Marcy did this, since Marcy pulled her close and rested against her like so. It reminded her of all those times they hung out back in Amphibia — when they had nothing else but time, the unstoppable tracks of bog, and the calmness of Mom's campfire.

Whatever Marcy had wanted to achieve, she got it, for Anne nestled further against her. And sighed happily into her shirt. "I miss you."

And Marcy held her like so. "I miss you too."

(Cont.) I figure MO is kind of like a sort of episodic cartoon and seeing "The Monster Office" as the title (& super unique btw I love it) immediately makes me think of adventures where eps start off in a cubicle and then the boss might say something like someones getting fired and everyone's scrambling to do better than everyone else at their monster job or even sabotage others lol (dreams in this case). Anyways just really love your concept so thought I'd give a poke, forgive me if I'm off

I personally have never seen the Office but I have seen enough clips/gifs/mentions of it to know what its about and the general tone it has. I could definitely see some similarities drawn between the two because you’re right, MO really is more just episodic shenanigans of Dreamons trying to run a business.This is one thing I’m trying to fix with MO actually is that, its meant to be more silly than serious. The Dreamons (At least the Hueminn, Oranhamme and his kin) travel to worlds all over the universe trying to gain inspiration and experience. So the whole starting a business and running an office for them is nothing more than a whim. They’ve had enough experience through their travels to have a general gist of things but have never actually run a business with this many employees. They all decided to take charge of different aspects of a business in accordance with what suited them best but they’re still operating on what they think is a business, not what a business actually is. It all seems to function somehow but I think thats just the cartoony aspect I was going for.TL;DR: The Monster Office is very similar to a show like the Office where monsters from another world get into shenanigans every day while trying to run a so called business.
