beejhawk 👀
LMAO I was just sitting here like "no one even bothers to send me beejhawk anymore" but bless you to the bottom of your pot-stirring heart, anon.
Don’t Ship It
Why don’t you ship it? I have several reasons, which I will get into it, but I'm going to start with this one: I like a happy ending. Beejhawk cannot be a happy ending to me. I'm not entirely convinced any Hawkeye/4077th ship being endgame can be a happy ending, even the ones I like. I want to see Hawkeye move on from the war, which is what GFA is setting him up to do. Beejhawk keeps him stuck with the war defining his life. That's depressing to me. In the larger narrative of Hawkeye's life, it's important to me that the war is unimportant. The war being how Hawkeye met the love of his life gives me the ick. It implicitly suggests the war was somehow worth it. I can't think of a single reason why I would ship it. I think the biggest reason is it's simply too OOC for me. I cannot believe that Hawkeye would be in love with BJ. That is not Hawkeye to me. I actually can believe that BJ would be in love with Hawkeye, even though BJ is extremely straight to me, but I can't see Hawkeye reciprocating, ever. I've read some beejhawk fic and a lot of posts, and the way Hawkeye behaves and is characterized doesn't just feel wrong to me, it feels wrong in the way I hate the most. BJ is usually wildly OOC too. The other big reason is the complete lack of chemistry. They have negative romantic chemistry to me. This is a much smaller reason, but the things people get from beejhawk I get from other ships that make more sense to me. For a best friends ship, I have piercentyre. If I want to ship Hawkeye with someone repressed, I have hawnk or houlihawk. Sometimes I joke about this but it's kind of true that I don't need beejhawk because I have hawnk. The Joke Is Wild? Hawnk did it first. I genuinely do not understand why beejhawk is a ship at all, except that they're the two main guys. If I didn't know how slash culture worked, I would have been shocked that it even existed. In the last few seasons, I'm not even convinced they like each other. I found myself asking "do these guys even like each other?" about the alleged best friends more than once, and I had to actively rev up my suspension of disbelief to enjoy their goodbye properly the first time I watched GFA. I very strongly dislike any framing of MASH as a love story, and I have yet to find beejhawk content that doesn't turn it into the Ballad of Hawkeye and BJ. Piercentyre is fun for me, because it really changes the show very little. Beejhawk requires me to rewire the entire show, and I don't want to. A lot of moments that I adore become less meaningful to me if they're shippy. For example, Where There's a Will, There's a War. "When I wake up remind me to give you a kiss" is an expression of BJ's profound relief and a wonderful resolution to the anxiety and guilt he's been feeling for the whole episode. It's hyperbole that only works because they don't normally kiss or want to kiss. It always brings to mind a lyric from a song about WWII: "and I never kissed so many men as on that afternoon." It's not about romance, it's about being glad to be alive. I just like the show better without beejhawk. I started out a little more neutral and my visceral revulsion built through overexposure. There was also an assumption that you shipped beejhawk that I really resented. Especially because of the implications around it being slash. I am gay, I ship gay ships, I ship other gay ships in MASH. I don't ship beejhawk. I'm not required to ship every single gay ship. So all those beejhawk posts about "gay people love this" or "gay people think that" bother me and turn me off even more.
What would have made you like it? Completely different acting/chemistry. Something completely different from what I ever see the fandom do with it. I could probably be sold on unrequited (BJ's side only) or unhappy ending beejhawk in fic if it was really well done. This is your chance to plug! I think a realistic handling of it would help too. The show gives me a BJ who is as far from leaving his family as a man can be. I need to be convinced that something would change that. Meta claiming he's actually close to leaving in the show does not work for me, it directly contradicts what I see. I need writers to dig into it. Actually show me the dissolution of BJ's marriage, the pain and consequences. Show me how he manages to stay in his daughter's life, if he does. Brokeback Mountain does not shy away from how badly Ennis treats his wife and how absent he is to his children. My experience with beejhawk is that much angst is made of the obstacles to their being together, but they're quickly dispatched with. Tell me what Hawkeye sees in BJ, because I don't see it in the show.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? It inspired me to make these. I've been thinking lately that this lyric fits beejhawk "perhaps we don't fulfill each other's fantasies." If you know me, you know this is something positive from me, because it's from what I think is one of the best songs ever written. There is some interesting potential. Just get out of the true love box! Try something dark, something one-sided (BJ's side), something that ends badly! I do really like their friendship in the first few BJ seasons.

another terrible playlist round-up
i think i'll just do these periodically every few months! as of last year i started archiving my own physical collection (including borrowing from libraries and friends) and have moved away from streaming music entirely. i cannot in good consciousness continue paying for streaming services and dislike how their algorithms have impacted my own media habits, especially in regards to music (another post for another time, i'm saving for my blogspot)
that said, that's just for me. i've been making these in foobar2000 and putting them on spotify for ease of access to everyone else!
2024 release radar - i do these every year. to the best of my ability, collecting almost everything i discover in one year. artists i already enjoy and any of the new discoveries in between.
hangover remedy - what the title says! featuring some kelala, carly rae jepsen, IU, taeyeon, pinkpantheress and slowdive. easy starts to the morning after a night out but enough to wake you up.
me when i can't just rot in bed all day - my partner and i collaborated on this one. songs for when you just want to rot in bed all day. featuring the likes of faye webster, airiel, chelsea wolfe, title fight, superheaven, mbv. a great little snapshot of our separate tastes.
me time - i think i was writing a story about a young woman who realises she's a werewolf trapped in a castle and i have no idea where i was going with that, but here's the playlist. vibes are all over the place. featuring patti smith, joan baez, liz phair, soho rezanejad, fiona apple, abba.
lighter than air - a fun playlist that i like to listen to for background noise for cooking, editing, working from home. a little on the nu metal side of things, with other 90s bands i like. featuring: sunk loto, rina sawayama, sugar ray, limp bizkit, nine inch nails.
whatever, go my scarab! - songs for cursing your enemies with a plague of scarabs. featuring riders of rohan (my favourite discovery last year - yes it's another Tolkien metal band but they also sound like the B-52's and i kind of think it's campy brilliance), doro, motorhead, helm's deep, bathory, king diamond. you get the drift.
tobias forge's RAGE abc guest programmer playlist - yes it's not mine but he picked a great selection of tracks. really loved the 3am-4am "just fuck me up" section that featured ABBA, the black eyed peas, daft punk, lenny kravitz and bruce springsteen back to back. if that isn't a mood at those hours of the day i don't know what is.

Album Review of the Week: Nobody's Angel (2000) ☆☆☆☆☆
In 1999, four girls made friends with each other as they continued to run into each other at auditions and decided to band together! This, I have learned from my current magazine journey. I have so enjoyed watching small articles about them pop up from time to time and I cannot wait to get into the year 2000 and see them even more!
In preparation for a review, I usually listen to the album once while doing the write-up. However, I was so looking forward to this one that I listened to it twice yesterday and now again today! Once I get a taste, I cannot stop with this album!
Nobody's Angel is the quintessential y2k bubblegum pop group. If you love the early 2000s you must listen to this album at least once! It is everything that y2k bubblegum should be. Nothing but fun, sparkle and energy. Not to mention the inflatable sofa on the front and back covers! Love the sandals as well.
Buckle up, baby, 'cuz here we go! We start with If You Wanna Dance, their lead and I believe most popular single. It is packed with so much energy that you cannot help to move and bop along. The chorus moves at lightning speed while the verses bring in a more mellow melody leaning almost into an R&B style - just in the vocals of course. The instrumentation remains extremely poppy in the best way.
I Can't Help Myself slows down the tempo but we still have the hard hitting beats behind the gentle guitar and vocals. This song shows off their gorgeous harmonizing.
Boom Boom is a funky track with a chorus with extreme sing-along-ability. I've been singing it the last 2 days! The melody and speed of the lyrics is so much fun to recreate and makes it quite the earworm.
Next Stop Heaven really brings in the groove with an energetic bassline, more harmonizing and another fantastic chorus! Their energy is just infectious.
Keep Me Away is another ballad and as much as I usually dislike ballads, those on this album got me bopping as much as the other tracks! This is one to sing while looking out the window on a rainy day. It is high drama with the heavy strings and pleading vocals.
With Right There Waiting, the instrumentation is a tad trite, but the melody is still really great with that energetic chorus. This is the type of song that would play in a rom-com when the couple are in their honeymoon stage. I can see the woman walk-dancing through the streets to this song!
Ooh La La has the classic answering machine interlude that you will find in many early 2000s pop albums (even Britney's Oops!...I Did It Again!) I know I'm saying the word 'energy' way too much, but every song has it! This song also has a really cool bridge that gives it an edge that some of the other songs don't have. There is also a little chatter part that I love where one of them just shouts 'do the washing machine! and an acappella outro to spice things up a bit.
Things get a bit sexier with Wishing On You. We have sultry vocals and darker instrumentation to illustrate this small pivot.
Absolutely Maybe put me in an absolute tailspin as an 8 year old. The lyrics are totally contradictory! How can you say absolutely maybe, I am sure I really think so although I deserve a week? Jokes aside, the melody is less "energetic" than the preceding tracks but not by much! Rest assured, we have yet another great song on our hands - especially with such clever lyrics.
Sugar Daddy has a funky 70s vibe that will get your head bobbing! Now, get your mind out of the gutter. He is sweet like candy!!!
Nobody is the best midtempo on the album. The solo vocals are pretty weird sounding but the harmonies are fantastic with an infectious melody. This one is sexy without trying too hard like Wishing On You is.
Despite being 12 tracks in, the album is still exciting with Cherry Crush. We're back to the quick as lightning vocal deliveries. This song is the most R&B-like of the bunch, very pop still but has elements of R&B of the time.
This masterpiece of an album closes with a cover of the disco hit, We Are Family, which begins with an interlude of someone flipping through radio stations - very fun and 2000s. The verses are different than the original, spicing it up with a rap-like delivery to bring the song into the modern times. Injecting new energy, some might say!
Obviously, I absolutely love this album and it is one of the essentials of the early 2000s.

Hallo, I'm posting this entry like a week late but it's better than nothing tbh. Anyways this is my first weekly music update, i basically just talk about what music i really like from that week. I will be talking about new music i find, my favourite songs, what playlist im listening to the most and show my spotify stats as well😋
This week, due to the announcements related to Melanie Martinez's new album, I have gone back to my roots and have been listening to all of my favourite songs by her. Melanie has been one of my favourite artists for years now, probably since just before k12 came out!! It's really hard to decide on my favourite songs by her since I really like all of them; despite this I have still decided on my favourite song from each album/ep. From crybaby we have 'pacify her'; from k12 it was a bit harder to decide but i'm going to go with 'highschool sweethearts', and lastly from the after school ep we have 'The bakery'. In the last week almost all of my top songs have slowly become melanie, she's just really amazing like that I guess. Anyways i'm super excited for the new album, her new form is really pretty💕
Here is a playlist with all of my favourite melanie martinez songs!!
Some of the other songs seeping into my spotify stats are from a playlist I have called "WHAT IS THIS MELODY ''. This playlist has quite a bit of crystal castles in it. In Fact the overall theme of this playlist is just crystal castles and other songs that I think are kind of similar. I think that my favourite song this week was probably 'Goth' by Sidewalks and skeletons, this song is on the previously mentioned playlist as well!! I just really love how the song sounds, it's a good one to listen to on loop while doing things😊
Other artists I've listened to a lot this week are Lana Del Rey and Glass Animals. I really got into Lana near the middle of last year due to my friend who is a lana stan, and I'm honestly very grateful for it. Lana has so many amazing songs, i just sometimes feel like i'm on another planet listening to them, she managed to place in my top 3 artists during spotify wrapped last year lmao. I don't particularly have a favourite song by her at the moment but i think ultraviolence and art deco may tie with each other. Anyways moving onto glass animals, they have been my favourite band since around 2016. I initially found them through sally face and creepypasta animated memes; 'pork soda' and 'The other side of paradise' , , they really had a chokehold on us all istg. My favourite album by glass animals is probably 'how to be a human being' . Every single song on that album is a masterpiece, I literally cannot dislike any of them if I tried. My favourite song from HTBAHB is probably 'pork soda'; from zaba its 'black mambo'; from dreamland 'space ghost coast to coast', and finally my favourite single is 'golden antlers'🥰
Heres my favourite songs by glass animals!
And heres my favourites from Lana <3
Majority of the music at the top of my stats came from me listening to them on loop for hours at a time and also from exclusively listening to the same playlist for weeks. I haven't actually listened to them in a while. They're just still up there from listening to them so much. Fun fact "miss you" by south star has been in my top 20 for months now, i listened to it 399 times last year and i can't seem to get rid of it from my stats now. Anyways, I am now currently working to get rid of those songs from my stats😭

REVIEW THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT: CLOWN CIRCUS EDITION
Error: 6/10
Love this song, I would say I dislike it more than some of the other songs on the album mainly due to a bias I have against instrumentals (This song is soo good, but I'm a sucker for vocals)
Lemon Demon: 7/10
This song bring s a fun energy, and I love Aaron's feature. This is a really good song, and my low ranking comes down to my shitty music taste, even for a lemon demon fan.
Ten Thousand Light Years Away: 9/10
HOLY SHIT I LOVE THIS SONG okay, this song is definitely one of my album favorites. I love the way that it builds up in the beginning (side note, I'm giggling to myself internally thinking of somebody who has never heard of lemon demon before reading this and deciding to listen to the song from my review, only to be hit by disappointment), I LOVE the elevator music-y instrumental, and (this applies to a lot of Neil's discography) I LOVE LOVE LOVE how he layers vocal harmonies in this song.
Don’t Be Like the Sun: 8/10
Another one of my favorites from the album, Don't Be Like the Sun is the earliest Lemon Demon song, released 1-21-03 (yes I used month first, screw you I do what I want on my Tumblr page). The song goes through many tonal shifts and, like many others in Neil's discography, has mostly nonsensical lyrics. Definitely not a song for everyone, but one of my personal highlights of the album.
Bowling Alley 5/10
This song is focused more on storytelling, starting off as a short instrumental (and you already know how I feel about those) then switching tones as Neil describes (not to the beat) a dream he had the other day. While I feel my last sentence may have come off as a bit hostile, I did not intend that. The song is great, it was just clearly not meant to be listened to the way one would listen to a regular song. While I see the vision, and I see why people may like it, it's not for me, hence the low rating.
Wrong: 8/10
honestly, I don't really have anything to write here. I could just describe the song to pad my review with filler (cough cough my "Don't Be Like the Sun" review cough cough) but I kinda don't wanna. I like it. Good song. 8/10
Hazel’s Modus Operandi: 8.5/10
I love this song. I feel like this song is the sort of song I picture when I think of this album. The lyrics, the overall sound, it's just very clown circus-y, y'know? It's a very chill song. I like the use of expectation subversion in the chorus. I also like how informal I can be when writing this (seriously? "It's a very chill song" pick up a goddamn thesaurus for once in your life) because nobody cares enough to read it (if you're reading this, you lost the game). Anyways, who am I to fret like this. Maybe a song review change will pull me out of this abyss (not so subtle Joe Hawley reference to veil the fact I don't know how to end this review) (also, this review sucks and is completely unreadable to anyone except for me) (also, seriously why are you reading this, this sucks)
Idiot Control Now: 7.5/10
Good cover of a very strange song from MST3K. And I can't think of anymore to say (seriously, I gotta quit it with the references)
Pepper and Salt: 8/10
I feel like in December of last year, I would've given it a 9, but some of the magic of the song has worn off of me. Nevertheless, I still quite enjoy this song. However, I feel like the shitty Jamaican accent that's so shitty I didn't even realize he was DOING AN ACCENT is unnecessary and completely unrelated to the song. Like seriously, why does a song about zombies need a shitty Jamaican accent in it?
Holy Bison Beaks!: 5/10
What I said about Bowling Alley extends here. The song was clearly not meant to be listened to as a regular song, but since I regularly listen to it that way I unfortunately cannot fully enjoy it as intended. I do really like that ironic little, self-referential, catchy freakin' hook though.
Somnolence: 7.5/10
mid. 4 sigmas/10 gyatts (I hate myself and every decision that has lead to me writing out that sentence)
Fire Motif: 8/10
This song radiates with 16 y/o Neil's kind of charming, kind of cringey, kind of both teenage edginess. I mean seriously, "smoke, burning, sparks and red fire?" "They’ll find you. They’ll catch you. They’ll burn you?" When the writing is bad by MY standards? you know it's bad. Despite this, I really like this song (though I still mildly cringe when he says "Love, pain, and such emotions are the coal")
Hyakugojyuuichi 2003 8/10
I feel like this is one of the most iconic songs in the album. A song released by Neil on the two year anniversary of the release of his animation "Hyakugojyuuichi!!!," the song Hyakugojyuuichi 2003 is a song Neil released with FOUR guest features (we'll get into those later) and SO MANY references in it. It's a very catchy song and I don't think Nintendo will ever let Neil upload it to streaming/sell it because of the insane amount of samples it uses from the Pokemon song "Hyakugojyuuichi" (seriously listen to the instrumental, so many samples). It features Aaron Ackerson, Jackson Taylor Wetherbee (a.k.a. Zander), Mark Hughes (a.k.a. Toxic) and Dave Kelly (a.k.a. Shmorky Kay), two of which have (in my opinion) two of THE WORST aging lemon demon verses ever. Shmorky's verse doesn't;t contain anything of note IN THE VERSE, so why would there be multiple YouTube uploads of the song with JUST their verse cut out? Well, a quick YouTube search of "Shmorky" will reveal multiple video essays regarding this animator and likely ex-friend of Neil's grooming allegations, along with an audio clip of him withholding SCHIZOPRHRENIA MEDICATIONS FROM HIS PARTNER (Jesus Christ that is a horrible thing to do). so yeah one could say that the verse aged horribly. Also toxic's verse is just gibberish with a vaguely stereotypical Japanese-ish accent. It's actualy insane to listen to, but it was 2003, what're ya gonna do. also sorry I kind of used this spot to dump all of my pent-up thoughts and opinions in this review space, but I guess that was the whole point of making a review in the first place.
Elsewhere 6/10
Yeah I kinda just don't like it there's nothing to say. sorry I'm kinda worn out from writing my hyakugojyuuichi review to write anything here. also I don't care enough about this song. I was going to apoloise again but I'm not sorry. this song is totally mid. 2 livvy dunnes/3 baby gronks
TOTAL ALBUM RATING: 7.5/10

Then a broadway musical (in a perfect universe, I'm in NYC long enough to see every new and/or Tony-nominated musical, and maybe a good play if one looks interesting) and stay for the stage door and get playbill autographs. Then a comedy club. Then back to the hotel. (On one Sunday, see a matinee and also attend a taping of John Oliver's show). Eat at least one pastrami sandwich. Do tours of historical sites. 1997
IT'S IRELAND TIME. well, not quite yet. but it is in that this is the last time they hosted the contest and also they scored second.
Cyprus Not bad & not a bad start. I don't have too much to say about it beyond the fact that I don't think it's bad. It's simultaneously very 90s Eurovision while also, I feel, laying the groundwork for the 00s entries to come. I've definitely heard bits of the chorus in compilation videos before.
Turkey Whoa, that was NOT how I was expecting the verses to sound based on that chorus. But they're really beautiful. S,ebnem knows how to use her voice and sings in a way that makes her ring through the arena, almost, I can almost hear it, during those gorgeously empty sections where it's just her and the drum. Maybe I might have my year winner already. This is GOOD. She looks good, she sounds good.
Norway I like a lot of the more upbeat country from this era, and there are parts of this that I like - like the harmonies and everyone playing the guitars. But it's not clicking. I don't think I like his voice, and for some reason my brain keeps trying to parse the Norwegian phrases as English and that's confusing me. Although that's not really the guy's fault.
Austria Loving the dance routine. It's well-executed and fitting to the song. She sounds good, too. Although, I don't love the outfits, and... I feel terrible for saying this but Bettina just looks old. She looks like a helicopter parent going to Zumba.
Ireland This song is just so 90s. I get why it scored well when it did, but I'm watching this from 2023, as someone who wasn't even born yet in 1997. It's SO of its time that I just cannot get into it. I bet my mom would like this song.
block ranking: Turkey > Cyprus > Austria > Norway > Ireland. this is a new thing i'm gonna try out for these 20+ song contests because I struggle with remembering everything and cut my watching into pomodoro-style blocks with breaks in between (i'm gonna go make some tea before SLO->ESP).
Slovenia It's just poorly constructed. I don't like the way the notes fit together.
Switzerland This, by contrast, is an alright song (backing singers did well!) but I dislike Barbara's voice a great deal.
Netherlands Yall know I love a good girl band. This is, at least, a middle of the road girl band. They're clearly having fun and I vibe with the verses (especially the last phrase before the chorus in each verse), and the chord progressions. However, the rhythm of the title lyric goes too quickly. This one also falls victim to the "too many wide shots" thing that absolutely drives me crazy.
Italy Alright, so one of the things I've noticed lately, singing in a barbershop quartet format (this is relevant, bear with me), is that head voice is a lot harder to tune, especially when vibrato slips in. This woman has that problem. She sounds good, but she's also above the rest of the music, just slightly. Also the beginning was weird and took me by surprise for some reason. Everything else was pretty good, though. Not my fave song ever but a solid 90s entry.
Spain And this one just bores me to tears. No personality to it. Sorry, Spain.
Block ranking: Italy > Netherlands > Slovenia > Switzerland > Spain.
Germany Conflicting feelings here. I enjoyed it, but also it feels dated, but also the beginning of the chorus is really good, but also I'm not sure if I like her voice or not, but also that outfit is queer af by today's standards and I kind of love it.
Poland Chorus is a little messy, but the song feels original and it has the perfect amount of sass for a song titled, if I'm understanding the Polish correctly, "But I Am". I love it. My only real complaint is that if the lady from Jalisse was slightly over the notes, Anna Maria is slightly under them.
Estonia This is a lovely subtle song, and Maarja-Liis Ilus has a sweet, very young sounding voice that is satisfying to me personally. However this is slightly to her detriment, because I feel like she kept trying to be just a little bit sexy and it just didn't work because she sounds like a seventeen year old trying to be sexy.
B&H I love love love the instrumental in these verses. They give me the vibes of the Yael Naim, Ingrid Michaelson type music I listened to in middle school. However with an instrumental like that the singer, I feel, needs to be a little smoother in tone (like Ingrid Michaelson or Yael Naim). And the chorus didn't fit with that instrumental at all. I was really enjoying it until the chorus kicked in and then suddenly it was a totally different vibe.
Portugal Distracted entirely by the fact that her backup singers are straight out of The Matrix.
Block ranking: Poland > Estonia > Germany > B&H > Portugal.
Sweden It's just kinda frenetic. It doesn't fit together and the rhythms in the instrumental are too fast. It's really not bad but... idk. Maybe i'm only saying that it's not bad because I have a certain affection for Swedish entries before their "scary success" era.
Greece The return of the hand cymbals! Eh, this one's okay. It's very Greek.
Malta Very pretty song, although she does run into the lady from Jalisse's head voice issue a couple of times herself. Or maybe her head voice is just a little shrill timbre-wise and that's just how my tired headache-having brain is interpreting it rn lol. But that dress though. Barbara Dex much?
Hungary While "Hungary goes Backstreet" is already not really my thing, this entry is further sunk by the fact that none of these guys are particularly great singers. I'll give them this, though: there's a cool shot in here where the singers are shot from behind and you can see the audience and a light kinda runs over the spectators. That looked pretty cool.
Russia Russia almost never sends things like this. But then again, this was fairly early in their participation, wasn't it. While it's not my speed, Alla definitely embodies the Primadonna title. She carries herself just like an aging leading lady. A good fit for the song.
Block ranking: Greece > Russia > Malta > Sweden > Hungary
Denmark We didn't need this. It sounds okay but like. Listen. Okay, these days I'm less of a hater of rap in Eurovision, but that's also because it's gotten better over the years. This 40something Danish man I don't think knows really how to rap well. And the dancers and the school aesthetic were def too much.
France It doesn't leave much of an impression, although I do enjoy listening to it. Mostly what I get out of this is that the singer is very young.
Croatia Heavy sigh. It's a no from me. They don't sound great, the outfits suck, and I'm no huge fan of [rifles through genres they used on Produce 101] new jack swing? Is that what this is?
UK It ain't no Walking On Sunshine, but it's still damn good. There's just this swell to it, this movement and push and growth, that feels like it's getting the song's message across. There's something in the composition that, when you listen to it, feels like love.
Iceland Gay rights I guess? Vampire rights also? It's so Eurodance (which I don't really like) and the mixing was off, I can't hear him very well. But gay rights, I guess.
ok sorter time!!!
My top 25 1)Turkey 2)Poland 3)UK 4)Italy 5)Germany 6)Cyprus 7)Estonia 8)Netherlands 9)Russia 10)Greece 11)Ireland 12)Norway 13)France 14)Switzerland 15)Malta 16)Austria 17)B&H 18)Slovenia 19)Portugal 20)Spain 21)Sweden 22)Iceland 23)Hungary 24)Denmark 25)Croatia
Miscellaneous thoughts I really enjoy the messages from past winners and other contestants that they played after every other performance. Best one was probably Niamh Kavanagh telling Linda Martin, "it's your fault, you started it" and Linda responding, "well, you gave them the heart attack the next year." Obsessed with how messy that winner's recap was. Katrina got the words wrong! The tambourines were off rhythm! It was endearing. I also love how multilingual this contest was. Not only English and French but a solid amount of Irish in there. I suspect we'll see less and less English as we go further back in time.

10 people you want to know better (probably not gonna tag ten bc i am a ball of anxiety. but like. yeah!)
thank u artie my friend artie for tagging me @queermoths and being the one irl person ever ive let follow me lmaoooo love u
relationship status: . surprisingly, for the first time in my life, i have a qpp/boyfriend! it happened officially last night after a long time of kinda. awkward feelings. its one of those things where we're both on the aro spectrum and we don't think its actually going to change our relationship a lot, just a new label. I'm still polyam, so i dont consider myself taken or single really, i just happen to be in a qpr now!
favourite colours: Neons, and sunshine yellows !
favourite foods: oooh. new haven style pizza. my ideal pizza is always a thin crust brick oven base with red sauce, tomato slices, ricotta, garlic, spinach and eggplant (and mozzerella and Romano ofc) It's literally the best tasting pizza ever even tho its. very expensive when u add all those toppings lmao!!! and as always. paired with birch beer soda bc there is not a single better soda out there for pairing with new haven style pizza!
song stuck in my head: currently it's been "24" by Best Friends Forever. Easily one of my fave songs!!! its one of those songs that when i play it for the first time for people they flinch at the intro bc it sounds kinda weird but then they get to the 'chorus' (? its honestly a pretty non-liner song) and theyre like. yeah this fucks (bandcamp link here bc i rlly reccomend supporting them if u can, if not theyre on most streaming services.)
last thing you googled: I was reasearching knit kneepads last night bc i have the hot take that they would be a rlly cute accesory for fashion but i cannot find any adult sized ones that are cute so!
time: 3:28 PM
dream trip: probably id like to visit vienna or ireland or anywhere else with signifgant family history to it.
last thing you read: poetry for class! I was reading through some Torrin A. Greathouse poetry.
last book you enjoyed reading: ugh i havent actually sat down and read in like. a month. but i was reading some comix on my phone through comixology and i really enjoyed "eat the rich" as well as i bought a physical copy of "the nice house on the lake" which i will reccomend to literally anyone who's into weird horror and pretty decent trans rep
favourite thing to cook/bake: i rlly love making homeade pudding for our xmas trifle lol.. we only do it once a year but like. making a really huge traditional british xmas feast but american and almost completly vegan is like, genuninly the most fun i have cooking ever.
favourite craft to do in your free time: My non-free time is also making art so. literally getting to just chill and do what i want with my art instead of following a prompt is so theraputic. but litereally my life these days is "damn im so tired from drawing all day. i'll draw a little bit as a treat to myself." my poor fucking wrists lmaoooo
most niche dislike: i will at a moment's notice launch into a full debate about how the role of seymour krelborne shouldn't be played by skinny convientally attractive men. like. i could care less if who's playing him has won six tonys sometimes they just do not fit the role!!!
opinion on circuses: this was a clowncore aesthetic blog for two years. i think you get it
do you have any sense of direction: nope! almost everytime i use google maps i get lost anyway bc the graphics r too confusing to me lol..... i am so bad at navigating its funny
tagging. i dont know um. @teenage-h0m0icide @theharfest @enbyzombies @dilfconstantine @wingedatlas

People you want to know more about!
I got tagged by @jacklyn-flynn and thought this looked like a fun little thing! Thanks for the mention!
Relationship status: Single, open to meeting people and being courted
Favourite colour: Cornflower blue
Favourite food:  Breakfast sandwich (over easy egg, ham, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel)
Song stuck in your head: "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Encanto
Last thing you googled: “how long does covid symptoms last" (I'm still dealing with a stupid cough)
Time:  11:43 PM
Dream trip: To be honest, I don't really want to go anywhere specific, but a tour to visit my friends around the world would be nice.
Last book you read: "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen
Last book you enjoyed reading: "Strangers on a Train" by Patricia Highsmith - read it for school and I'm convinced that the two male leads are so gay for each other, and that the female romantic lead, Anne, masterminded the villain's death. The book is much better than the Hitchcock adaptation.
Last book you hated reading: "The Killer Inside Me" by Jim Thompson. I can at least say it was better than the film adaptation. It's been rare to encounter a book that made me feel physically sick.
Bonus: I absolutely love reading aloud. Lost my voice more than once reading aloud to my mother or grandmother.
Favourite thing to cook/bake: Brownies! I got so good at it once I figured out I could add vanilla extract and use better oil, and milk instead of water.
Favourite craft to do in your spare time: Writing! Although I will occasionally get the urge to do something weird like fold a butterfly bookmark I saw the instructions for.
Most niche dislike: Movies by Stanley Kubrick and those asshole elephants from Dumbo
Opinion on circus(es) now and in history: Have been both horridly reductive and based in exploiting both customer and employee but also been able to grant marginalized people some semblance of power and agency, while also dealing in horrible animal abuse.
Do you have a sense of direction and if not what is the worst way you ever got lost: I cannot accurately determine cardinal directions unless the sun is rising (in the east) or setting (in the west), and even then, I can only determine east and west. I'm pretty okay at Google Maps, though. I haven't ever really gotten horribly lost on my own. More like just went the wrong way for a moment before realizing my mistake.

dream trip: i have been DYING to go to italy my whole life. or greece. or i would KILL to go to prague just so i can see the bone church
last book you read: the last book i read was misery by stephen king
last book you enjoyed reading: i did enjoy misery! it was very entertaining and classic sk lol which is always fun
last book you hated reading: ooh last book i hated reading hm. well haha. oh man i have some friends who are going to haaaate me for saying this but. probably piranesi by susanna clarke. i wouldn't say i hated it, but it just. kind of bored me. and i wanted so badly to like it because the whole concept behind the book is so cool! and some of the imagery in it really is gorgeous, but i just couldn't get into it for some reason :/
favorite to cook/bake: i actually love making homemade bagels, it's so fun and they taste even better than store bought (duh lol) and bagels are my favorite things so.
favorite craft to do in your free time: i suppose writing would fit here haha. but yeah i do a lot of writing in my free time if my inspiration and motivation will allow for it.
most niche dislike: i am SURE i have a niche dislike but i literally cannot think of anything rn that isn't like the common ones like the sound of people chewing or neighbors blasting music at 11pm at night.
opinion on circus(es): i don't really care for them one way or the other, they're just kind of things that exist that i haven't given much though to really.
do you have a sense of direction:  HAHA NO. or like. yes but not a good one haha. like i know my neighborhood pretty well and the streets around it, but ask me where the presidio is in relation to my apartment or how to get to the castro from work and im like uhhh idk? lol. i am also one of those people that can not tell you the names of what streets you take to get somewhere for the life or them but ABSOLUTELY can be like oh yeah you turn left at the giant rock! and then right at the combination kfc taco bell! which annoys my mom to no end hahaha. i also cannot tell you which way is n/s/w/e either like lol do not ask me that.
tell us about you D&D character: haha yeah so. i have only ever played dnd one (1) time rip, and i was kind of confused about the whole thing so my character is probably suuuper lame, but her name is Periwinkle, Peri for short, and she is a human rogue level 3 (we were asked to make our charactes human and level 3 for the oneshot, so that's why lol). she had a haunted past and can talk to spirits which is p cool. but uh yeah it's been a while and like i said it was for one oneshot lol so i don't really remember the backstory i gave her rip.

Eurovision 2022 songs in order of my least to most liked!
I love eurovision and it took me a week to do this list recently, so I may as well share it with some comments. There are some songs I don't have too much to say about so I won't be commenting on them, just saying it now. And since I know I have some unpopular opinions just remember not to get angry at me, please. The list was made based off mostly studio versions of the songs. Anyway, here goes:
40-31: songs I barely care about and those I do not like
40. Italy - this is The Song. Each year there is The Song everybody loves and I absolutely hate. Last year it was France. This year it is Italy. I do not enjoy it at all. I don't like the melody or their way of singing. Are they good singers? Yeah, sure. But I have my right to hate the song and I do. I don't like ballads in general and I am picky when it comes to slow songs too. This one is annoying af. Don't play it when I'm near.
39. Switzerland - as mentioned above, I don't like ballads. And I absolutely dislike sad ballads.
38. Australia - slow sad song, I don't like it. The guy had a nice outfit though, I give him that.
37. Sweden - I am disappointed, because Sweden produced so many good songs, but this one does absolutely nothing for me. I don't even remember it. It's like the 6th Harry Potter movie. I've seen it 5 times and remember maybe 2 scenes.
36. The Nerherlands - I like then countries sing in their own languages. But this song is just boring for me.
35. Iceland - you were so cool last year, what happened? I don't actually dislike it, but it is one of the songs I cannot remember even if I try (the same with other two above).
34. Greece - okay, I actually kind of like this one. I mean, there are so many songs I like more in this contest, but this isn't a bad song. It is only a little boring, but at least I can remember parts of it. Definitely more powerful than the others so far.
33. Azerbaijan - another slow song I am not a fan of, but at least the refrain does something for me. Again, at least it has a powerful melody.
32. Belgium - it is one of my love-hates this year. It is slightly annoying, something you'd hear in a film about American college kids during a party scene. Sometimes I like it more and sometimes I like it less, so I couldn't place it higher, while it also didn't deserve to be lower.
31. Germany - while I dislike slow songs, this one is actually good. I like the lyrics, I can actually relate to the feeling of missing good old times. This is a type of slow song I don't dislike.
30-21: songs that I more or less like
30. Portugal - I like the refrain, I just wish the whole song sounded as good. I had a hard time deciding if I liked it more than Germany, actually.
29. North Macedonia - finally, a faster song. It isn't the most interesting one, sadly, so this is where it belongs. I don't care about this one so much. If it comes up on a playlist I will listen and enjoy, but I won't be playing it on purpose.
28. Georgia - this is my second love-hate. I honestly don't know how to describe this. This song is weird, sometimes it reminds me of Beyblade songs, sometimes it is annoying to listen to. I like the "lock me in, lock me out" part, but my feelings about the rest of it change constantly. How much I like it depends on the day, weather, placement of the stars and planets that day, and whether ot not I smelled a chicken.
27. Lithuania - I like how different it is from most of the songs. It stands out. At first I thought I would place it higher, but the more I listened to it, the more I decided I didn't care as much. Again, I like it is not in English. And I really do like the general vibe of the song, like from an old film, but I don't like it as much.
26. Albania - I used to like it more when I first heard it, but I got tired. It is more fun when you watch the music video. Without it, it gets tiring if I listen to it too much.
25. United Kingdom - I know a lot of people are fans of this song. And I kinda get it. I like the singer's voice. I like the song. It just doesn't hit me with strong emotions when I listen to it. I'm not saying the song isn't emotional, or the singing, or whatever. I'm just indifferent when I'm listening to it.
24. Romania - oh, a solid song to dance to when I'm alone in my room. Just like UK, it doesn't do anything for me emotionally, but I enjoy listening to it once in a while. It just makes me want to move. Good to listen to while I'm walking from or to the bus stop.
23. Montenegro - it surprised me how much it grew on me. But here's the difference with all the songs so far - it actually makes me feel something. Not the whole song, mostly the second half (or a little bit more than that). I am asthmatic and I've often had problems breathing when I was under stress and in a way, as a result breathing and air were important motifs in some of my writings and arts. This song reminds me of it. Sadly, it is still lacking something I can't quite place, so that's why it isn't higher.
22. Spain - this is damn catchy. Even better than Romania's when it comes to dancing to. The lyrics aren't the most ambitious, but I don't care. I just freaking love the beat.
21. Serbia- this would've totally be higher if it wasn't for the fact I found 20 songs I liked more. I legit enjoy this song. It is original. It is in Serbian. The rhythm is amazing, it makes me want to clap my hands along the singer. I sing parts of it along as I listen. I know there is a heavy story behind it, which makes me sad, but I think it's amazing how people take difficult situations and make it into such quality content. I just legit love it.
20-11: sons that would've been in my top 10 if it wasn't limited to 10 song only
20. Armenia - it gives me 2010 vibes. Girl sitting with her laptop, posting The Fault in Our Stars moodboards on tumblr. I like the guitar and how peaceful it is, but it doesn't sound sad.
19. Cyprus - idk but for me this song sounds just SO European. It makes me feels of summer holidays in late 90s to early 2000s, radio playing on a beach or near a lake, kids with inflatable toys running around, smell of oil in the air. And these classic bald white dudes, shirtless, sitting at the plastic or wooden tables under these huge umbrellas. Yeah, this is a song that would play during a scene like this. It reminds me of childhood and summer trips to the lake with my family. And it's super European in the same sense Dragostea Din Tei is. This one song all kids from your elementary school would know and listen to during a school disco.
18. Bulgaria - OMG I KNOW, EVERYBODY HATES IT, BUT I DON'T! I really like this song. I like rock. It sounds kind of old, like it was made over 10 years ago and wasn't the most popular song on the album. A song you'd forgotten about until you found an old CD and listened to it once again realising "oh yeah, that song exists". But I like it. It is super catchy.
17. Finland - it pains me Finland ended up so low on the list. I love the Rasmus. Come on, if you remember In The Shadows I bet you like them just as much as I do. Honestly, this song isn't exactly a winner for me. But that's not the point. The point is, it is the Rasmus performing on eurovision and just that fact alone is cool. As for the song itself, it sounds exactly as I'd expect from this group. Nothing surprising, but it's quality. And it gives me a little throwback to elementary school and girls from my class putting them as their favourite band in these question notebooks we had. Idk if other countries had it too. For us it was called "golden thoughts" (pl. złote myśli).
16. San Marino - I need to stop complaining how low I put things, it is my goddamn list. I love this song. The singer has an amazing stage presence. If I hear one more person complain they are "discounted maneskin" I will throw hands. This song is powerful on its own. The music literally sounds dirty. I could put it on so many fanfiction playlists. Writing smut. Reading smut. That one character I imagine as power bottom, disobeying his master and being a tease. Last year's winner didn't me think of it, so let me have this one.
15. Austria - okay, not too much to say about this one. It is catchy and I like catchy, just as I like fast songs you can dance to (even though I don't dance) or that make you feel energetic and ready to kick the opponent team's asses in League of Legends.
14. Estonia - I just vibe with it. A good song to travel to, because obviously. I don't ride horses, but I could listen to it while riding a bike. Except I haven't done that in years. Whatever, I just really like this one.
13. Ukraine - first of all, if they win, we (poland) are totally down for organising ESC in Warsaw. Don't quote me on that though. I don't know if I like it more than last year's song. What I appreciate is how Ukraine manages to combine traditional music with electronic. And they do it in style. I used to work at local folk festival in Poland even though I am NOT a fan of folk music. But I am a fan of modernised folk music. If that festival I worked at had this type of content, they would've fired me for listening instead of working. The flute part is my favourite. I just hope people won't vote for them only because of the war currently going on. But they still should vote for them, because this song is damn good.
12. Latvia - this is simple. I love happy, funny songs. I always look forward to trolls on eurovision because they are the best. This song is HILARIOUS and I am personally offended I couldn't find more reaction videos on YouTube of people getting surprised by the iconic "instead of meat I eas veggies and PUSSY".
11. Moldova - read what I wrote about Ukraine and then mix it with what I wrote about Latvia. I ABSOLITELH LIVE MOLDOVA THIS YEAR. I tried following the lyrics as I listened to the song, but I understand absolutely nothing and the sounds are not the letters I see. Bonus points for singing in your own language instead of English and if they are not in the final someone will get hurt.
10-01: one of you better wins this shit
10. France - so much improvement since last year, oh god. I absolutely couldn't stand Voilà. But this year we eat good. Hey Netflix, can we use this song in the Witcher? I don't even know what it is about, and yeah, it's not Slavic (as opposed to the Witcher), but I demand this song in some sort of fantasy series or a film.
09. Slovenia - the best part about this song is how I hum along to it until that one part that sounds almost Polish and suddenly I go "A TY DRUGIEMU SERCE ODDAJESZ". This is the only part I can somehow understand. Btw someone please tell me if "zasral" is a normal Slovenian word, because it sounds almost as our "zesrał" (pl. He shat/shitted/what is the correct form of that, my degree in English just became useless).
08. Denmark - I don't think this song is popular. I like it a lot because it makes me feel powerful and motivated. And I like rock, if it hasn't become obvious yet. It gives me energy.
07. Malta - similar to Denmark, it makes me feel. Not in the same way, Denmark is more energetic while Malta is like this spreading light. But it makes me feel and that's what matters.
06. Ireland - this is more of a bop than Spain and you cannot convince me otherwise. I get this song stuck in my head daily. I had to make up my own lyrics before I learned the correct version, because it just doesn't go away. Once it starts playing in my head, it continues until finally I have to focus on something. Or I play another song.
05. Israel- look, I know it is not the most liked song. Someone on YouTube mentioned they didn't like how the artist sings about himself, but I don't see it that way. I don't think it is about the actual person who performs. For me, this song is about my favourite characters, or even sometimes me if I am in a good mood. And the singer is just some guy who made this song exist. I don't even remember his name (like I ever remember anyone's name lol) but that doesn't even matter.
04. Norway - did I mention I love trolls and crazy? It is another earworm. It's crazy and I love it. If Ireland isn't tormenting me with That's Rich, you can be sure Norway and their wolves do it instead.
03. Croatia - yay, we made it to top 3! I am in love with Guilty Pleasure. For reals. I've listened to it a lot already. It's a perfect fanfiction material. So many OTPs I can think about of when I listen to this song. Someone needs to make one of these "aot riren lyrics prank" videos I've seen on YouTube using this song, because it's just so damn perfect. If nobody does, I will learn how to make it and do it myself because I need it to exist. Anyways. I am in L O V E!
02. Czech Republic - whenever Lights Off comes on Spotify I am surprised how good of a song it is. It's memorable and catchy, it is fast and happy just as I like. I had no troubles picking it as my number two.
01. Poland - okay, listen. This is not number one because I am from Poland. We are SHIT at eurovision. Not at junior, luckily, but we are absolutely awful at ESC and after last year everybody knows it. I mean, last year didn't even happen, we didn't participate, no Rafał with his awful sunglasses, nah-ah. Because last year is a proof of what happens if TVP decides on their own. They don't know shit about this contest (especially considering they fired our commentator. God, please, fire the new one instead, he is awful). HOWEVER this year we are doing so good I am surprised. You know how I don't like slow songs, but damn, River is so powerful I've lost my socks countless times listening to it. And no, it is not a rip-off Arcade. What makes me love River so much are the lyrics I can relate to - the feeling of being tired and just wanting to give up. I've felt that countless times. It gives me shivers each time I listen to it, and no other song makes me feel anything this powerful. This is legit the best song Poland has ever send to eurovision (in my opinion).
Anyways, that was my list, and I know I am kind of chaotic when I talk, but sometimes I just don't know any other way to describe how I feel about stuff. So yeah, let me know what you think, just don't shout at me or I might get scared.

ALRIGHT, i went back to find the nct songs i liked and there's actually more than i remembered.
good thing by nct 127 it's fun. has those weird ass instrumentals you expect from nct, but its also fairly catchy. the chorus is kinda weak but overall it kinda grows on me as i listen to it. i dont think i'll ever listen to it much though, as i do get bored of it really fast
i like chewing gum by nct dream. it's fun. i don't have any strong feelings on it nor do i go back to it very frequently but i always have a fun time when i listen to it, it's very catchy, and i can see someone finding it annoying but i think if you like cutesy music you'll like this one, it's such a fun time. it was nice to revisit it.
i hate that im admitting this but i love simon says by nct 127 </3 its honest to god not very good, and i cannot listen to it too much before i get annoyed at it. i definitely enjoy it in a guilty pleasure kind of way. the silly lyrics really get to me, and idk, its a pretty energetic song. it rlly is just noise but like, i find it sooo catchy and addictive. which is weird, because i did listen to simon says a few years ago and i remember disliking it. and like i still dont think its all that great, but now i actually do enjoy it. maybe that just means my taste has gotten worse.
and then we get to the stuff that i genuinely unapologetically love.
my first and last by nct dream is really cute, i enjoy it a lot. it has a very strange sound to it??? but it somehow works? it's very fun. wouldn't necessarily recommend it to just about anyone lmao, like i said, it does sound kinda strange, but i think the more the song progresses the more it works. i kinda really struggled to figure out how i felt about it but the more i listen to it the more i like it.
i really like dream launch by wayv. it's so soothing and pleasant, it's just really relaxing? i can definitely see myself listening to it a lot more in the future, especially if i want something more lighthearted and slow.
and FINALLY we get to nct u, and i actually might listen to one of their albums at some point? i just kinda like their vibes. like idk why the songs for this particular subunit have worked so well for me but so far, it's just been good.
first there's boss, which i just think it's fun to listen to. it's kinda addictive in the way simon says is, but also just has a much more pleasant instrumental and is just... a better song overall lol. the vocals in this one are VERY nice to listen to. i like the balance between the rap and the vocals more than i usually do in nct's songs. the chorus is fun.
baby don't stop is still a queen of a song. i loooove the instrumental so much, the whispering works extremely well, it's just got a really good rhythm to it. this song fucks, i will never get sick of her.
YESTODAY IS SO GOOD???? bro. bro. its so good. i can listen to it over and over again, they went so hard with this one and for what. it's definitely a much softer song than what they usually put out. it's sooo relaxing and i think the instrumental is pretty interesting, as simple as it is. the rap sounds very good in this one too! for once, i think the rap is definitely one of the highlights. much to like about this one imo. yestoday my beloved, im so glad i have u in my life <3 it also has a very pretty music video, so i recommend checking that out.
without you is also so good. like yes i admit that its very generic, as in there are a million of other songs like it BUT that doesnt contradict it being really good. it's fun, its pleasant, ITS VERY VOCAL HEAVY WHICH IS WHAT I WISH NCT WOULD GIVE ME WITH THE VOICES THEY HAVE.... this one doesn't even have a rap, its just the vocalists.... i love this song, i dont care. i reallyyy like this style for them which is kinda devastating because I KNOW this isnt what nct puts out in general but oh well. im very normal about without you....
so those are the nct songs that i think are worth listening to, if u care to check them out.
Oh I just listened to good thing and I liked it, esp the instrumental (particularly that part towards the end where the synth comes in). It's kinda repetitive and yeah, the chorus is underwhelming, but minus those aspects I enjoyed it
Chewing gum is a cute song, Idk if I'd listen to it that often. Once again the chorus is the culprit here, I liked specific parts of the song but the chorus was meh 😭
I mostly didn't have any strong feelings on simon says, except for the bless me achoo line which was so fucking funny (and the other lyrics I occasionally paid attention to). There was one high note that I thought was rlly good tho
I liked my first and last, it was a cute song! It's upbeat but it sounds like one of those songs that is meant to make u nostalgic. It was released only 5 years ago but it somehow feels v early-2010s
I think so far my fave song from this batch is dream launch, I rlly liked it. My only exposure to wayv is thru their iconic song love talk, and dream launch is p diff from that, so out of curiosity I might just go and check out their other songs. Anyway dream launch is going straight to my playlist
Why does the intro from boss slap so hard??? Overall I liked the song, it had some parts that I liked a Lot, and I also jive w the instrumental. I def can see the simon says parallels and yeah absolutely, I prefer boss over simon says
Help, I confused baby don't stop w another nct song, baby don't like it 😭😭. Why do they have 2 songs w the same gimmick (trick question obvs we all know why). I thought it was alright, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to listen to it again, but the whispers were a cool addition
THE SAXOPHONE AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF YESTODAY....I agree, the rap was a highlight here, I rlly liked the song. The instrumental gives me vaporwavey vibes, which is def diff than nct's usual vibe. I'm gonna go listen to this one again
Ok so I already have without you in my playlist, and I WILL defend it as a generic song. My fave part of the song is the intro bc of how the vocals are showcased, the rest of the song is generic but what's important is that the vocals are amazing

Do you know what the most common bird is in your area? Seagulls, pigeons, blackbirds, sparrows, robins.
What last made you feel ecstatic? Cancelling my weekend walk so I get a full weekend off without absolutely NOTHING planned for the first time since August lol.

How many teeth have you had extracted? Just my two upper wisdom teeth.
Do you ever read magazines? Not anymore, no.
What is something you’ve been reflecting on? Nothing in particular, really. I've been too busy lately to really reflect on much at all, hahah.
What’s something you like and dislike about the town you live in? I love the location - right by the sea and not far from the national park and all the amenities. I also love how friendly everyone is and how quick they are to help you out or support you if you need it. I do wish there was more to do though - it can be quite isolated in winter.
What’s a Halloween movie that you enjoy? I'm not into scary movies really but I do like The Addams Family movies with Christina Ricci, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Would you say you’re more confident now than you were 5 years ago? God yes, most definitely. Ian even commented on it last time I saw him at my old workplace.

What’s the last thing you purchased that was frozen? Skin on fries.
Would you ever walk a runway if given the opportunity? If I was getting paid, sure.
When did you last do something that scared you? I honestly don't remember.
What is something that you’re curious about? Whether these calming meds for the dog will always be this effective. Honestly, it's been living having a different animal in the house today, he's been SO chilled out. It's amazing.
What time do you usually eat breakfast? During the week it's at about 8am, at weekends it depends on when I get up and what my plans are.
What is something you did as a child that you would never do now? Participate in team sports lol.
What’s been your favourite memory of 2022? Galloping down the beach in the sunshine on Joe.
When were you last inside a tall building? Uh, when we were in Manchester I guess. Our hotel was pretty tall.
Is it currently quiet in the room you’re in? I mean, it's not loud but the TV is on and I can hear the dryer running.
Is there someone you can honestly say you hate or have hated? No.
What’s currently on your mind? I kind of need a wee.
Would you consider yourself to be a messy person? No, I'm definitely the opposite of messy lol. I find mess/dirt really stressful, to be quite honest.
What makes you most anxious? When there's something wrong with any of the animals. We've had them all at the vets in the last few months and it's been both expensive and stressful lol.
When did it last rain where you live? It's raining now lol.
Do you prefer multi colored lights or white lights? I like warm white ones in general, but colourful ones are cute on the Christmas tree. Except we never have a Christmas tree because of the cats, ha.
What’s something you’d change about the world if given the chance? God, millions of different things. The world is a mess.
Would those closest to you say you talk too much or not much at all? It depends on the conversation, I guess. Some topics I can talk for hours, other times I just prefer to listen.
Do you consider yourself to be more basic or complex? In what ways are you like that? I honestly can't be arsed with a question like this lol.
Where is somewhere you’ve been wanting to go but haven’t had the chance? Tokyo, Skye, New Zealand.
Do you have a song you cannot listen to anymore due to a bad memory? No.
Have you ever had a candlelit dinner? Sure, quite a few times.
What was the last shot you’ve taken? Drink wise? Probably vodka. Injection wise, my last COVID booster.
Do you need to apologise for something or are you waiting on an apology? No and No.
What’s something you strongly believe in? Kindness to animals.
Do you have a dream that is close to being accomplished? Maybe I'm weird but I honestly don't have any specific treats.
Would you say you’re in a good place mentally? Yes, for sure.
What type of jokes are most funny to you? I'm a huge fan of dad humour lol.
Would you or have you ever had a pet rat or mouse? No, they don't really appeal to me. Plus we have cats.
Are you currently trying to make a decision on something? No.
When did you first start feeling more grown up? When I moved to university.
What kind of chapstick do you use? Vaseline or Burts Bees, whichever is closest.
How many pillows do you prefer to sleep with? Normally two, sometimes three, sometimes one.
What is something you’ve kept bottled up for a long time that you now have released? Hmm, nothing in particular comes to mind.
Have you ever broken a cell phone charger? Sure, loads of times. Especially those cheap fake Apple ones.
What’s a popular candy that you do not like? Wine Gums.

Have you been having odd dreams recently? Yeah, really vivid ones actually.
Do you frequently forget appointments? No, never.
What is currently sitting on top of your refrigerator? Two cats.
How many orange objects can you see from where you’re at? None.
Would you rather have extremely long hair or a very short hair cut? Long hair, I think.
When did you last use lotion? About two hours ago.
Do you currently have any prescription medications you need to pick up? No.
What’s your favorite kind of chips/crisps? Kettle Chips or Pringles.
How do you like your coffee or tea? If I'm at home, I just have them both with milk and sugar. I don't have tea out and about really, but coffee-wise I like Cappucinos and flavoured lattes.

survey #135
Who is your most loved person? Mom and Girt, just in different ways.
Have you ever been bullied? I'm really fucking grateful I wasn't.
Who makes you the happiest? Girt.
What is the most heroic thing you’ve ever done? Uhhhhh... this is bad, I don't know lmfao
What calms you down when you’re upset? What works best for me these days is Girt hugging me really tight.
Have you been betrayed in the past? How? Maybe, idr.
Who do you miss the most? My dog that passed away, Teddy.
What’s one sweet/candy you miss from your childhood? Is this item something you can still buy or has it been discontinued? BABY BOTTLE POPS those bitches were GREAT. I know I've seen them in a gas station before not too many years ago, but idk if they're still around. I just know they're nowhere near as big as when I was a kid.
Do you have a favourite celebrity chef? No.
Do you prefer diamonds or pearls? I honestly find diamonds like, incomparably prettier. Yes, pearls are pretty, but diamonds are stunning.
Is there anything coming out soon (books, albums, movies, video games) that you’re looking forward to? The entire Rammstein fanbase is aware a "Making Of" video is coming sometime soon-ish for the "Dicke Titten" mv which is wildly beloved for how fucking endearingly stupid it is but the sneakpeak clips were shared in like, I wanna say February & by now everyone is ready to corner them with pitchforks lmao who knows when that'll be here, + there's also something being made with things filmed in Mexico but I'm pretty sure the details aren't public. OH AND ALSO the remake for Silent Hill 2 should be out this year and I physically cannot fucking wait. Oh my god wait another thing, like two days ago Markiplier finally namedropped the legit movie he's been working on (Iron Lung, based off a super fuckin cool indie horror game) so that's super exciting, I think I remember him saying it should be out by maybe like the end of the year.
How do you go about finding books/movies/music to read/watch/listen to? Uh... I don't really search for new books, I'm just sticking with WoF right now, I'll only be interested in a movie that I just like happen to see a trailer for, music is mostly YouTube recommendations...
What’s a band/musician you were really into for a while but who you don’t care about or hardly listen to anymore? "Don't care about" doesn't really fit this, but I think the closest to this general description is Metallica. I got into them right after Ozzy, and for most of my life since then I considered them my second-favorite band, and I still love A LOT of their music, but I just barely listen anymore; I haven't listened to any of their new album (I do plan to, I just haven't yet), and I didn't really explore their last one much either. The last one I cared much about was Death Magnetic, and that released in... holy motherfucking shit 2008 are you KIDDING NO GODDAMN WAY
What is something someone recommended to you that you disliked/hated? Ummmm I know Girt's shown me songs I wasn't into, but I don't think anything I had that strong a reaction to.
Do you find it difficult to keep up with online friendships? Generally, no; they're easier for me.
Has there ever been a person you regret ever being friends with? Totally, 100% honest, Sara. We tried friendship so many times since we were around 8 and 10 years old, and it never ended well. We just don't mix.
Do you think you have a good understanding on love? Yes.
What do you want to do on your honeymoon? I wanna go to Alaska but I know Girt doesn't lol, he HATES the cold. Props for ultimately being like "yeah we can" I'm guessing because of how exciting the idea is to me, but a honeymoon destination should be a mutual agreement so I'm not dragging him there. I'm thinking maybe Italy, going to Venice would especially be a fucking dream, plus Rome is in the country too.
What do you think of your parent(s)? I am fully convinced I have the best mother in the world. She's absolutely not perfect, but she is a legend of a mom. My dad always could've been a better father, and I think I'm always going to feel some hurt over how he left my family, but he tries.
If your best friend confessed that they can see the future, you would…? I would be extremely fucking concerned and try very very hard to get him to get in touch with a psychiatrist, but seeing as I can't even get this man to agree to going for a yearly physical THAT HIS INSURANCE FULLY COVERS, I am VERY doubtful he'd go for mental health, and if that was the case, I'd turn to his mom and sister.
What’s your least favorite pizza topping? Mushrooms.
What’s your dream pet? The absolute top of the list is probably a high-expression sunset morph ball python, but they are ABSURDLY expensive, like that is absolutely never happening unless they become much more common. More obtainable is a Grammastola pulchra/Brazilian Black tarantula, as well as an Ephebopus murinus/skeleton leg tarantula, I adore both of those. Also one that will very likely never happen because of their rarity in the hobby (and price tag) is a Sonoran coachwhip, famous for their ability to be a gorgeous pink, but I'm very particular in wanting a black fade on it, lol. Odds are very high that you have probably seen this exact snake before, a lot of people unfamiliar with snakes immediately assume it's fake so they've done their rounds online. Fun fact the potential of seeing this exact snake in the wild is a major reason I want to visit Arizona, haha.
Most unattractive male name, in your opinion? To be totally honest there are a lot of male names I really don't like, like Edwin/Erwin/Edward (apparently I just have a vendetta against names that sound like this lmao), Bob, and even Donald, which no, he doesn't know & I don't plan on telling him lmfao this poor guy I hate his real name AND his nickname help
Is your pet dog male or female? She's a female.
Have you or would you try shark meat? No to both.
Do you know anyone that’s pescatarian? Not personally, but a WoW streamer/content creator I sometimes watch is, she's the only person I know of.
Do you think the government has a cure for cancer, but is hiding it from public? At the BARE minimum, they refuse to delve into potential solutions. Cancer and keeping it at bay RAKES in money. I mean honestly, throughout my WHOLE life I've read articles or just heard news about how "it looks like this is capable of curing it," and what happens next? Nothing, you never hear about it ever again.
Do people normally describe you as sexy? God no. The only one who ever does is sometimes my boyfriend and I can't even believe him lmfao
Was your ex born in America? They all were unless you count Juan, who I dated less than a day. He's from Mexico and is now back there.
Has your best friend ever made you cry? He's never meant to, but yes.
Do you still talk to the person you liked six months ago? Yeah, we're still dating.
Has anyone ever talked you into doing something you didn’t want to do? Yes.
Are you smiling in your Facebook profile picture? Yes.
Be honest, does the person you like actually deserve you? Or are they actually not worthy of your affections? I don't deserve him, is more like it.
List 5 things that have been on your mind most recently. Job situation, my physical health, wanting to move out/in together with Girt, being excited to get my tattoo finished next month, and photography stuff.
Would you ever wear black lipstick? Do you know anyone who does? In the incredibly rare occasion I have lipstick on, it's black.
If you wear eye shadow, do you put on a dark colour or a light? And if you wear mascara, what colour is it? Still black lol, but again I barely ever, ever wear makeup.
Do you combine your socks and underwear in the same drawer? Yeah, seems like most people do.
Does the last person you kissed live within walking distance? No, he lives around 30 minutes away by car.
Is there someone you could hang out with all the time, without ever getting bored of them? Yeah, Girt.
Do you know a girl named Beth? Tell me about her. I know an older woman named Beth; she's the mother of who was once my little sister's best friend, but they moved away when Nicole and Lauren were maaaybe pre-teens. She's actually dealing with the recent loss of her son because of drugs, something that's so mind-boggling to me because I remember this boy as a little, innocent kid. Addiction just doesn't discriminate.
Do you think the last person you kissed has ever lied to you? I suppose it's possible over something small, but I don't think so. We put a lot of focus on honesty in our relationship.
Have you ever been hit on by somebody way too old for you? As a teenager, yes.
First kink tried? Not sharing, crossing a boundary for me.
First time doing oral? I was somewhere around 17, maybe 16.
Do you send nudes? Do you like receiving them? No to either, I am very glad no partner I've ever had has felt the need to do that.
How much teasing do you like? Both people I've been sexual with have called me one and I treat others how I wanna be treated u kno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Are you okay with name-calling in bed? I don't know tbh, not something I have experience with but honestly for someone with my self-esteem and whatnot it's probably better that I never find out.
How often do you do unprotected sex? I am unwilling to ever do that unless we've made the confident decision that we want to have a kid.
Do you like wearing/seeing people in lingerie? I don't wear and never have worn it but bitch lingerie is ALWAYS hot what the fuck homie
Are stockings/thigh-highs a turn on? BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH
How many other people know your bra size? hunny I don't even know my bra size 😭
Do you have any friends you’d sleep with? No.
Does the person you like have any flaws? Of course he does, everybody does. They're non-deal breaker flaws I've chosen to accept.
Has anyone ever given you a ring? Why? Jason did for one of our anniversaries, I think either the second or third. It wasn't a promise or engagement ring, just a pretty ring. I remember the gem broke off pretty quickly and this man was so mad lmao, I actually kept the frame of the ring (I lost the jewel) for a very, very long time, I'm talking 'til like maybe this past year, but I eventually didn't even want it as a memory anymore.
Creation theory, evolution or the Big Bang theory? Well I mean the last two generally go hand-in-hand, but I do have to admit I'm not totally sold on the "everything exploded from condensed nothingness" theory, but I 100% believe in the evolution of life forms. I'm completely uncertain of what I think the very origin of the universe is, especially when you consider I don't believe in a god, either. I don't necessarily refute the BBT either though, I tend to trust scientists with weighty degrees that actually study this shit for a living.
What was your last serious conversation about? Well, I found out last night Girt's last remaining grandparent/his mom's mom has cancer, and she's absolutely too weak for chemotherapy, so. I was talking to him about tagging along the next time he goes to see her. I just kinda randomly thought about her (I already knew she wasn't well) and realized it'd be nice to meet her before she, y'know.
Have you ever been into a real cave? No, but this is a MAJOR adventure goal!!!! Girt recently learned that I wanna do this and his reaction was priceless, the "YOU ARE ALLOWED IN THE MOUTH OF A CAVE PEOPLE LITERALLY DIE THERE BLAH BLAH BLAH" was so immediate, too bad bitch I'm goin spelunking
Have you ever posted mean comments on YouTube? I know I did once as a kid lmfao help this child or smush her like a bug idc
Name the strangest game you’ve ever played (video game or real game): Uh probably the first Silent Hill. It took SO much reading and lore videos to understand lmao. I really do hope they remake the OG game one day, like don't get me wrong, I ADORE it, but so much could be improved ((((DAHLIA'S VOICE ACTING)))), including with just making the story easier to understand without actually changing the story (I'd be pissed and so would the entire horror game fanbase).
Who was the last person to play with your hair? Are they cute? Girt, yeah he mad cute
Who was the last person close to you that died? Did you cry? Jason's mom, and I cried for days on end after Mom told me. She's the only human person that I've lost to death that was truly a painful loss for me, like it was personal. All other people I've known who have died I either very, very barely knew or in my maternal grandmother's case, hated.
Do you know anyone who uses medical marijuana? I mean I might, but if they do, they're sadly having to do it illegally because even medical usage is illegal in NC. Piece of shit state <33333
Do you know anyone who’s died in childbirth? Thank god I don't, this is such a heartbreaking topic to me. I was actually worrying about my friend Bethany who just gave birth while dealing with a severe case of the flu; it looks like things got a bit scary, but thank all the stars in the fucking sky she's home safe with her family now. She was so heartbroken because her daughter was brought home before she was able to come with.
Do you agree with the “they’re just being kids” excuse? This WILDLY depends, like I hope that's obvious. Kids playing make-believe and making a mess in the mud outside? That's "just being kids," but things like picking on others and such absolutely is not.
Have you told your parents all of your secrets from when you were a teen? No. My mom has cryptically commented that she "knows" a lot of things which is terrifying lmao but idk what exactly.
What’s the worst name your mom has ever called you? I'm not at all sure, I don't really think she's ever called me a bad name...
What’s your stance on spooning? I like it because it makes me feel safe and loved, I am That Bitch hunched over dying when Girt rolls away lmao, not in like a genuinely offended way or anything though, he sleeps way better facing away with more space.
Do you currently want a new computer? Nah, mine's fine.
How would your parents react if you got a tattoo? Neither would care; they both are aware of how much I love tattoos and plan to get dozens more. I seem to remember my dad being caught off-guard/seeming a bit nervous when I told him I got a tattoo the first time, though.
Who is your truest friend? Girt. He's honestly the greatest friend I've ever had, as far as being a genuine friend goes.
Who is your oldest friend? Sam, he's gotta be near 40 now.
How long have you known them? Uhhhh I can't remember the exact year, but I know Jason and I were still together when we "met" (we've been WoW buddies for a very long time, used to play all day somedays voice chatting together). I'm gonna guess like... *around* 2013-2014? I'd really like to meet him and his wife one day, he's always treated me like his little sister and honestly it was interactions with him that helped me get through 2016. At least I had someone to talk to/stay preoccupied with. If I'm not mistaken his wife's actually pretty big on the makeup side of TikTok now, which is great for her because she's never been able to work because of health reasons.
Where are they right now? Uh, they live in New Jersey. I'm assuming he's home because my b.net app says he's playing Call of Duty right now.
Have you ever dated a friend of one of your siblings? Omg no, that'd be weird. Girt actually (very vaguely) knew Ashley before he knew me, but they were never friends beforehand.
Have you ever dated someone who had a child? No, and I'd prefer not to.
What has been your biggest failure in life? Not loving, respecting, and taking care of myself properly, honestly.
Do you trust yourself? lol no, I change my mind too much for that shit
Would you ever consider getting an abortion, under any circumstances? Yes, I would get an abortion in any case where I didn't want a child.
What was the last bug you killed? An ant in the house. I generally try to avoid killing bugs, but ants in the house are not okay.
Do you prefer profile pictures by yourself of with someone else? You know, I think I've always used ones where it's just me.
Has a boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s parents ever gotten mad at you? Why? Probably at some point with either Jason or Sara.
What is the funniest thing a child has ever said to you. Omg idk if this is THE funniest, but it's the most recent really funny one that I remember: my 8-year-old niece Aubree literally going, "Why do you need a boyfriend at your age?!" when Girt was with me at their house, like GIRL your mother is TWO years older than me with three children & I am a grown-ass woman 😭 I love that girl to death.

What is your opinion on Jeonlous. And at what moments do u think that they might be a little sad when they r not beside each other. I won't lable it as jealousy. But i think there are 2-3 moments. what do yuo think.
I have talked several times about just how toxic I think the Jeonlous narrative is. It makes great YT videos, it gets likes, but it paints JK as an obsessive controlling possessive boyfriend, all which is exaggerated and untrue.
I have mentioned many times now that the members of BTS are human beings just like the rest of us, with human traits just like the rest of us. So, yes, there will be moments of jealousy or feeling of uncomfortableness at times, both on JK and JM's part, but as a whole, I don't believe either of them are these jealous possessive monsters they sometimes are painted out to be (especially JK, maybe because his face is more expressive, idk).
Jealousy is a big word.
You can be jealous afraid your partner will seek with others what he has with you.
You can be jealous of others, wanting what they have but you do not or cannot.
When it comes to JM or JK's 'jealousy' the feeling I get is that when it manifests it's usually the second kind - jealous of what you cannot have. And what do I mean by that?
Well, this can be an either or situation. Either they see their partners interaction with others and are upset because they cannot act openly on their feelings and have to supress their behaviour around them, unlike with the other members, for instance. Or, it can be a manifestation of their frustration not being able to 'own' the relationship, to scream to the world "he is mine, I am his". Perhaps "you are me I am you" is their way to bypass that (food for thought).
Saying all of that, I have seen a few instances I cannot explain away like that, times when JK reacts in a certain way that doesn't fit into that specific mould.
The first one I really can't wrap my mind around.
I'm talking about the BTS Front row live entertainment interview –  from April 2017.
This one really intrigued me. I watched and re-watched the full interview several times, and for the life of me I can’t see what happened there between JM and Hobi that triggered JK’s reaction? JM’s placating look at JK, like he's telling him "don't worry, nothing happened", also the way Hobi pulled away immediately… this one is used a lot to create the JK jealous narrative, and to be honest, it does look like a 'jealous boyfriend' reaction. When JK turns back, JM looks into the camera with an uneasy gaze.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The second that comes to mind is Taemin. This is also something I have discussed in the past, JK's avert reaction to Taemin around JM.
I don't know what it is, if it is jealousy or just JK simply not liking the guy, but whenever he is in their vicinity, there is a clear feel of frostiness. There is something about JM and Taemin's interactions that bring this on. We see it in KBS music bank Singapore 2017 (a clear change in mannerisms and behaviour towards JM too).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we see it in the 2018 Music bank interview. The whole vibe is JK not happy with what's going on to his right. Unlike the feel I got from the KBS song festival in Dec 2016, there isn't tension between JK & JM here. The dislike is towards the person standing to JM's right. Now, this was a very short interview, and JK could have just been nervous about it, but I felt there was more to it. It felt like he was forcing himself not to look that way even when, or maybe especially when Taemin and JM were talking, and when he did, he wasn't happy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
JK was looking at JM when he was talking. JM sends a 'heart' sign to the camera, and then turns to Taemin with the 'heart' sign. The speed JK turns away and the facial expression... He's not happy.
As for those two being sad when they are not next to each other, well what comes to mind are the award shows they are sat far away from each other, looking for each other's gaze, and more recently, well the last Vlive when they were sat the furthest apart from each other, JK gazing at JM, JM trying to get JK's attention. Other than that nothing specific comes to mind.
