omg so i’m new here but i currently have brainrot for 2 things

1) being a famous celebrity (sortaaaa like the famous streamer one but more famous) where ur like, an actress or model, things like that. and having a semi-public relationship with schlatt where you’ll be spotted holding hands on occasion, or on a red carpet but not really publicly discussing your relationship (even though everyone knows you’re together), and everyone is either super happy and ships the ever loving shit out of you, or they clown on you a bit and make “who’s punching up” videos and odd comments, and just not giving a fuck and being happy together but kinda wanting to be viewed like any other couple and not just another famous couple to be analyzed. (also similar to mutual break up but you don’t care about hate and stay together)

2) schlatt made a joke about having his cock out in the latest chuckle sandwich episode and….. giving him head under his desk when he films….. for some things, like recordings where he’s not showing his face, it’s easy, but when he has his face out, it’s a bit more challenging. he has to restrain the urge to watch you and moan SOOO bad…. that’s all.

vile take I support illy like fully I don’t get the people who don’t rn

So like ok ok don’t get me wrong, illy isn’t like perfect 100% by any means but who is??? That one carrot and chocolate thing she said in her video could have been worded better but cmon, it’s really not that big of a deal, for the most part you out understand what she was saying. The video that TBYS posted wasn’t “criticism” the way that people are trying to say it was. People are trying to play it off as just a normal constructive criticism video, but if your “constructive criticism” includes like two whole minutes of making fun of someone’s appearance for no reason, I’m concerned. Illy’s response was a bit immature, but I understand where she’s coming from. She said not to send hate and to just take down that one video, not his whole platform, because it was damaging her reputation and mental health because TBYS never even tried to make a statement telling people not to harass illy and she got sent hate for it. People are blowing it way out of proportion saying she was trying to “deplatform him” when she just wanted one video taken down because it was causing her to be deplatformed, and she never even talked about it to her actual YouTube audience, just the small community on tumblr, then TBYS made two more hate filled videos and people just kept dog piling on her. If your gonna get mad at someone for “deplatforming” a known homophobe and transphobe, maybe practice what you preach. And alongside that, I know that some sources were shown in TBYS’s original videos, but there were no links in the descriptions, and absolutely nothing in any of the response videos I’ve seen. There was one video I saw just speculating that all of her doctors were dumb and lied to her, and TBYS also said that most doctors that specialize and make money from being good at nutrition were just wrong. Also, that one response video I mentioned tried to claim gym bros were better at health than licensed professionals???????? It just feels like this is all a massive, overblown hate campaign to a creator because of mistakes. There’s a difference between constructive criticism and just making fun of someone, and while some things that TBYS said were understandable, he made a point to straight up make fun of illy in the middle of his video, not even attempt to stop his fans from harassing illy, then when she replied (and barley received any backlash mind you), he blew up making more videos sending more and more hate and trying to ruin illy’s career. I know illy could have clarified that one point in her video and acted more maturely about the situation, but people are entirely overlooking the fact that TBYS was no where near “perfect” in this situation. (Also, final note, yes, you can absolutely be fat and healthy, saying otherwise is just wrong and makes no sense. Do your research before making half hour long videos making fun of someone)

I assume this drama will just die eventually and people will move on, but either way, I’m going to continue watching and supporting Illy no matter what. She’s a fantastic content creator, and when that video first came out (and there wasn’t some dude bro on the internet telling me it was bad) I absolutely loved at and had a great time watching it. It made me feel really good about myself (since I’ve been exercising daily and been working on myself a lot, but I’ve seen little to no weight loss despite eating healthy and going on a calorie deficit and working hard. It turns out I have something up with my thyroid, and along with that, part of it is just genetics.) I’d started feeling really bad and was trying to eat the bare minimum and it was making it harder to work out and I was feeling sick all the time. One day I was staying home because I felt sick, and I watched illy’s video. It’s not like one video is going to fix my relationship with food, but it has helped. I’m still not losing weight, but I’m getting stronger, feeling better, and eating healthier. Despite all this drama, illy’s videos have helped me feel more comfortable being myself and I will continue supporting her. And Illy, if you’re (somehow) seeing this, just know that there are some people that want to see you fail, but there are so so many more people that love you and your content.

Chapter 1

A King in Arkham

Chapter 2

Tim sighs, rubbing his temples and attempting to will away the sleep deprivation headache currently pounding on the inside of his skull. Pushing 80 hours awake, the last 38 of which have been spent combing backwards through any and all Arkham documents pertaining to one Daniel James Fenton.

He moved his hands away from his head, placing them on the fresh cup of coffee that had materialized while he was massaging, giving a cursory "Thanks" the retreating body. Normally, Alfred would have cut Tim off from caffeine yesterday. But it seems even the old butler was keen on something being found to justify pulling the kid out of Arkham.

Or maybe that was Jason fueling Tim's addiction. Man had been hovering since Batman called him back at the last break out. At least Dick had been able to reason better with the most volatile of the Wayne siblings.

"Picking him up and running won't do either of you any favors, Little Wing. It'll just put him and Hood on wanted posters. If you want him to have any shot at a life out here, you gotta let Bruce take it through the proper channels."

That had at least prevented Jason from snapping on anyone immediately, though he had seen fit to warn everyone that of they didn't have something by the next break out, he'd be doing it his way.

Which is why Tim had spent the last day and a half poring over every medical record, therapy session, schedule, action report, and discipline slip Arkham had on file that even mentioned Patient 26B.

Meanwhile, Oracle had her hands full trying to find any background information on the young ward. A task which itself was proving challenging because the place the kid came from seemed to have no digital presence at all. None. Not a Facebook or Twitter or MySpace pinging from the area. Not an email address or YouTube account. Not a single god damned website. Not even a .gov! Hell, the only reason they knew the city's name is because it was listed in the CPS paperwork from Chicago.

In other places, small towns and communities in the middle of nowhere, this wouldn't really raise any red flags. But Amity Park was not actually a nowhere town. It certainly wasn't a Gotham or Metropolis. But it was big enough to have formed a conurbation with the nearby city of Elmerton. Which had a perfectly normal digital presence. So Amity Park's lack of digital presence screamed Communications Blackout. A frighteningly strong one to still be giving Oracle the run around almost 2 days later.

Once Tim was finished reviewing Arkham reports, then the 3 weeks of documents from Daniel's stay in Chicago, he'd probably offer to help her. Though she might tell him to go the fuck to sleep instead.

For now. Tim was nearing the beginning of the kid's Arkham stay and; on top of not yet finding any clues as to why the kid was in Arkham, nor anything that could possibly exonerate him; the kid just made no damn sense!

His therapy sessions were all the same dead end.

The therapist would ask he he was feeling. The kid would apparently shrug, or sometimes mumble something the therapists could never quite catch.

They'd ask the standard suicide questions. "Any thoughts of wishing you could go to sleep and not wake up?"

A shrug.

"Any thoughts of wanting to take your own life or wishing someone would take it for you?"

Vehenement refusal bordering on a panic attack.

Move on to the hurting people questions.

"Any thoughts of wanting to harm other people?"

"No." According to the doctors, his tone here is immediate, calm, confident. Truthful. If the Arkham psyches are to be believed.

"Any thoughts of wanting to harm yourself?"

"No." Slower, quieter, meeker. Noted as a clear lie, citing the injuries as evidence.

"Then why do you, Danny?"

"I don't."

"Then where did your injuries come from."

"The ghosts," said with a sigh

At this point, it seems Daniel shuts down. He says nothing else for the rest of the session. Shows no outward response as the therapist tries to convince him there are no ghosts and Daniel must be giving himself those injuries.

2 and a half months. Daily therapy sessions. And every single one is the exact same script. The only differences are some minor notes as Daniel is passed around between therapists as they all inevitably get frustrated talking to the emotionless block of ice.

Outside of the therapy sessions and medical reports documenting the frankly horrifying amount of injuries Danny accumulates, there's not much in his file. He follows all instructions to the letter; never causes trouble for guards or other inmates; and every single locks malfunction, he has afterward been found lying on his bed in his cell staring at the ceiling. If he was somewhere else when the malfunction happened, security footage catches him walking there himself. If he was already in his cell, footage keeps him there the whole time.

Tim sighs again, clicking out of the medical report detailing the nasty bruise that had appeared on the kid's lower left back, then opens up the next file up without reading the name fully expecting it to be another tedious therapy session report.

Instead, he finds a discipline slip with the relevant security clip embedded at the top. The first frame is of the cafeteria. Daniel is sitting alone at a table in the top right. Tim's breath catches in his throat as he recognizes the demented clown in the center of the frame. Hastily, he plays the clip.

There is no sound but Joker appears to say something to the room. Daniel is suddenly standing, whipped around to face the clown. The Joker turns towards him. Daniel tenses. The Joker tenses.

In the next second, Daniel is on the Joker. He's kicking, scratching, biting. Absolutely feral as he just reigns fury upon the most feared and hated rogue in all of Gotham. Surrounding inmates are fleeing to the sides of the room as the Joker seemingly tries to get away from the kid, only succeeding in moving the "fight" around the room. It's hardly a fight. More like a vicious, brutal assault. Inmates cheer as blood appears on the floor. Guards move in, pulling the feral 15 year old off of the Joker; who stays down, potentially unconscious. 2 guards go to help the one currently attempting to restrain Daniel. 6 more converge on the Joker, blocking him from view. As soon as he can no longer see the Joker, Daniel seems to go limp in the guards hands. Then he tenses again, though not struggling. Tim just catches the beginning stages of what seems to be a panic attack before the clip ends.

Tim stares dumbfounded at the screen for several moments. When he snaps out of it enough to actually read the incident report, it is a basic transcription of what Tim just witnessed with confirmation that Daniel had a panic attack immediately after. The report also notes that other than the panic attack, Daniel seemed to sustain no harm. He was disciplined with 3 days without cafeteria privileges, so his meals were brought to his cell, and 3 days without Crafts room privileges.

A note at the bottom of the report reads "To prevent further incidents, Patient 26B and the Joker are no longer permitted to be in the same room or yard."

This makes Tim click out of the discipline slip -without closing it, just moving it to a different section of the batcomputer's massive screen- and scan the rest of the files. There are 2 more. One from a week prior and one from Daniel's first dat at Arkham. He opens both, placing them at points on the screen so that all 3 are visible.

The one from the week prior shows the Crafts Room. Danny is again in an upper corner. Time plays it. The door opens. Joker walks in. Seems to look at Daniel, then rushes him. Daniel looks up before the Joker makes it half way across the room, then in the next second meets him there. Another feral fight only broken up by the guards when the Joker stops moving. Again, Danny goes limp as soon as the Joker is out of sight. The rest of the report confirming a panic attack but no injuries. 2 days lost privileges.

The report from Daniel's first day again shows the cafeteria. This time, Daniel is center frame. Joker comes up behind him. Daniel tenses but doesn't turn yet. Joker seems to be saying g something, then laughs. Daniel hunches in on himself, seeming to mumble a response. Whatever he said makes the Joker laugh harder. Then he leans down over Daniel's shoulder, talking. Daniel seems frozen for not even half a second before he suddenly pushes himself out of his seat, straight in to the Joker, twisting as he goes to begin the attack. Since it's obviously the first time, the rest of the cafeteria freezes. No one reacts for a solid 6 seconds. Then guards are moving in, hauling the teenager away. The Joker stands unsteadily then takes a knee. He has to be led limping out of the room. Guards struggle to restrain Daniel until the Joker is gone, whereafter Daniel goes boneless, then begins panicking. Report confirms panic attack and no injuries. 1 day lost privileges.

Tim stares at the batcomputer for several minutes, trying very hard to process what he has just learned. His brain feels like soup. He rubs his eyes, looks at his coffee, grabs a comm to put in his ear. His voice is strained as he speaks.

Anyone nearby who can come to the cave for a minute?

Jason responds instantly.

Upstairs. Find something?

I don't... know. I just. Someone come confirm I didn't just hallucinate what I just watched and read.

I will say, while I could hear the definite influences these bands and genre had on his solo stuff, YCGMA and MSR always struck me as a more tamed version made more palatable for the masses, so while the themes, overall sound, and inspo is all there, I can't guarantee that it's a vibe for everyone

Ren - while not the same genre by any means, I think the vibe could def be appreciated, and if you like up-and-coming artists who've originated on youtube, check him out

HOLY SHIT BETA GLITCH TECHS DESIGNS!

I found a YouTube channel called Glitch Techs Archive that has a bunch of leaked Glitch Techs stuff. Mostly various bits of the only surviving piece of the 2020 pilot episode, but there’s also the way cooler 2015 Pilot stuff, With a full Pilot Episode (In animatic form) and an archived TRAILER for the 2015 Glitch Techs.

Please watch it it’s so cool.

Anyways here’s a bunch of Beta Glitch Techs stuff i saw in the trailer (and 2015 Pilot but the Trailer has better visuals):

First off: The animation is COMPLETELY different.

Looks nothing like the Glitch Techs we got to see.

Also that’s what Five Miko and BITT look like.

I guess if you squint you can see the similarities between Beta Five and Regular Five, but i just have to ask what HAPPENED to Miko and BITT in between 2015 and 2020. I love the look of the beta and regular designs an equal amount but that is a MASSIVELY changed design.

Also in the 2015 Beta (and the 2020 Pilot actually) Five starts off as a Glitch Tech, albeit one that’s still in training, while Miko doesn’t, being hired due to her Reset Immunity by the end of the first episode. His father is also mentioned in the Pilot (“im just glad your father isnt here to see this”) so he could have had ANY sort of backstory at this point.

Also, BITT is completely different in design, personality and function. In the Beta, BITT is a Tech Training Bot that accompanies Five on missions because he’s still in training. He also acts like a human being instead of purely robotic.

Beta BITT here also explains a small meta thing about actual BITT: Despite BITT standing for “Binary Intelligence Tech Trainer”, BITT in the show doesn’t do much Tech Training, mostly just keeping the HQ running on his own with the only training he does being done in episode 1. So why is “Tech Trainer” such an important part of him that it takes up half of his acronym?

Because his Beta Version WAS a full time Tech Training Bot and during production he was either changed or merged with a character that did regular BITT’s job of running HQ and he kept his original name!

Also The Tech Outfits and Armour look completely different as well with Five and Miko having their own colour schemes.

And finally, a very cool detail found in the trailer: Glitches in 2015 were originally going to have their own unique artstyles that they would keep when they escaped from games!

Seen here is the Rock Wizard (a glitch found in both the 2020 and 2015 Pilots and the 2015 trailer, but never actually seen in the show) and a Beta Version of Chomp Kitty. The 2015 Rock Wizard is 3D animated and Chomp Kitty looks more pixelated (while also somewhat fitting into the show’s artstyle). In other words: Glitches keep their in-game artstyle when they leave their games!

Another Harumi plot post because I’m so sad she gets portrayed in a psychopath/ heartless light.

Harumi is not a psychopath! Or a sociopath or a sadistic person fueled by genetic villainy and violence.

Harumi is actually a traumatized kid who’s found a way to cope with her trauma by trying to stop the carnage that faces Ninjago almost yearly. Her stated goal for SOG was to bring Garmadon back because he stopped the devourer. She didn’t wanna bring back a horrible person that would cause carnage and destruction, she wanted to bring back a protector who she saw as been more capable than the ninja.

She traumatizes Lloyd, yes, that’s obvious. Yet only because she sees him as being a narcissistic, ego child who doesn’t deserve to be seen as the grand protector that he’s portrayed as. Remember in her journal she states that she saw Lloyd, terrified, during the assault by the devourer. She idolized him incredibly before this, but after seeing him cower just like her she began to think that the ninja only portrayed themselves as being grand protectors, while actually taking credit for what others do.

She was stuck in a Palace for years! From S2-S8 she was trapped in the grand palace. She never saw the ninja defeat the Overlord, or Chen, or Morro, etc. As well, put yourself in Harumi’s shoes; if you only ever heard that your personal enemies are actually hero’s but never saw their heroics in action besides the time their incompetence killed your parents would you believe that they were actually being hero’s?

She hates the ninja and especially Lloyd. She had a Lloyd action figure that was either homemade or bought, both things that require money that a working class family doesn’t have, Lloyd was her favorite! And she saw him fail to save her parents!! It would be the same feeling as a favorite actor or YouTuber turning out to be a content thief or pedophile.

After brining back Garmadon she slowly became shocked and frightened by his ruthlessness and fear tactics. You can see her shock when Garmadon rips apart Mr.E in front of her. She didn’t think she would bring back a cold blooded killer and she never wanted to. She wanted to bring back the hero she remembered saving the city

She shows her true colors when the apartment building she’s in starts to collapse. A sea of traumatic memories would be going through her head in that moment as this is just like the day her parents died. She could’ve chosen to run down the stairs to save herself but she decided to help a family who could’ve been separated, instead of saving herself.

She only revived herself after death because the overlord promised her that he could be the protector that Garmadon failed to be. Her catered to her desire to help Ninjago like any manipulative person would’ve. He didn’t promise her self serving power or the opportunity to kill the ninja, he promised her the opportunity to be a savior again.

So I really don’t understand why people say she’s a psychopath dead set on hurting Lloyd. She’s traumatized, with good reason to be, but unlike a psychopath she realizes that when she’s doing something wrong she changes her ways. When she sees that Lloyd is a good person who only wants to help she realizes she still has feelings for him as he’s the protector that she’s always wanted Ninjago to have. When she sees that the Overlord is a force of evil that caused the death of her parents she defects and helps Lloyd and Garmadon finish him.

Harumi isn’t a villain for villains sake, or for revenge sake. She’s an anti-hero, who was misled and manipulated into fighting for the bad guys.

TLDR: Harumi is incredibly traumatized, saw the ninja fail, never got to see the Ninja be the good guys, and only saw Garmadon actually be heroic. She states blatantly that she wants to stop the yearly destruction Ninjago faces. She also shows herself to be empathetic, and heroic, saving the family in the apartments from being crushed like hers were. She only fights for a villain when they promise her, or she believes, that they’ll make Ninjago a better place.

Do you know what I always found messed up?

That Puffy and Foolish to people who have on several occasions seemed like trusted adults to Micheal. In fact he played with Foolish Jr, and probably knows Foolish as the guy built his house!

What I always found messed up, but people didn’t seem to talk about, is that it was Foolish and Puffy who led people to the location that Micheal was at.

It was them both who showed to Sapnap and George who taunted, mocked and threw eggs at Micheal.

Micheal a small kid who was trying to protect himself. It was extremely sad to me.

And the worse part? Neither Foolish nor Puffy should have had canonical reasonings why they would do that. Especially, when they of all people should have understood why that’s wrong considering they have children of similar age to Micheal.

Anyways the Dsmp had some messed up things in it that never got resolved RIP.

Hopefully Qsmp does a better job

Let's be honest here Anon, most characters got character assassinated by their own CCs by the end of the dsmp. cSapnap, cBad, cPuffy, cFoolish, cWilbur, cDream, cPunz, cTubbo, cRanboo, and even my boy cTommy, though I'm still not sure how much of the finale was actually ccTommy's idea.

It was an absolute mess by the end with no care put in it. There was no passion, no respect for the content or the audience who straight up made those guys' whole careers.

Because, like, you make a good point. Neither cFoolish nor cPuffy had canonical reasons to do any of that. But neither did cSapnap or cGeorge. It made no sense. They just resented the audience for caring about something they made and wanted to "punish" the audience for it. Or at least that's what the later lore felt like. It was genuinely a steaming pile of shit.

Some characters managed to hold on longer than others. Some CCs had irl reasons why their lore went to shit (like ccNiki who very much got sidelined even when she tried to do her own thing), but ultimately for most I'd say the biggest problem was a lack of care and a lack of behind the scene communication and cooperation.

As for the QSMP, from the little I've seen it's doing much better. Though, ngl, I've mostly watched clip comiplations and only very recently caught a bit of a couple of streams (a bit from Tubbo yesterday and the ending of Bad's stream today). And I don't speak any of the languages CCs speak aside from English, so following fully is very tough. I'm grateful for the people on youtube who subtitle their clip compilations because otherwise, it would be incredibly inaccessible for me.

That said, as I mentioned, from what I've seen it looks like they're doing better. There is heart behind those characters. Heart behind that story. I don't feel like the CCs resent the audience for caring either, because it looks like they themselves give a fuck about what they're doing. There are also admins, and a whole crew behind it to help it all feel much more complex and interesting. (Which is something they could have done with dsmp too if ccDream ever gave a single shit).

I don't know if it'll eventually go to shit or if they'll manage to keep it fresh enough to avoid that like series like Hermicraft and the Life series have done, but for now I'm rather hopeful.

Gunvolt’s treatment in cannon bothers me to an unreal degree aka I’m get to rant about this series because I’ve never seen a series treat it’s mc worse

Spoilers for literally the whole franchise

I’ve had some time to think about it and calm down since gv3’s story and come to terms with it and something never sat right with me. And then it hit me. Gunvolt is the most punished character in the series and there is no good justification for it.

Drama tracks pre asg1

The things we learn about gv in the drama tracks are depressing. For reference, I recommend you watch the translations provided on slider’s YouTube channel, since they’ll be my main source for this section.

From what we can tell in the tracks that gv’s childhood pre quill is for lack of better words, absolutely crap. He was one of the subjects of the gv project, and only two that were successful, the other being Asimov. As far as we know he never had a name or at least was never referred to as such only being called subject 78.

As far as we know (because gv cannon likes raising more questions than answers and you have to DIG to hell and back just to find some answers) Gv’s time in sumeragi was miserable until quill decided to make a surprise adoption.

Asg1: and now things get worse

Then asg1 happens and we meet Joule, the other most punished character . Things go well for the pair until the end of the game. There are two ending, the Asimov kills gv and we move to the ix timeline and the gv lives but now Joule lives in his head ending.

The ending where he lives end in the simplest of terms is Gv killing what his basically his father and basically has to leave his friends behind with out a word and now has Joule living in his head. There’s not much of a happy ending here, bittersweet at most but hey at least he gets to live.

Asg2: everyone say hello to Quinn and Xiao

In one of the drama tracks where Gv meets Quinn, Gv and Joule are not having the best time. Joule’s not having a great time considering that y’know she’s basically a ghost and gunvolt himself isn’t having it any better. Now is how he treats Joule here great?

However, keep in mind that he’s only a year older than she is and feels like he failed her and has to deal with quill and sumeragi being after him. Not to mention he killed his foster father in an act of revenge. So yeah everything kinda sucks.

Then Quinn happens and she fills the role the of the anchor to Gv’s mental state in a sense in that in order for him to get better he has to come to terms with what happens and let Joule go.

And that partially happens through Michiru (I can’t spell her eng name for some reason) since no matter who you play, Gv ultimately makes the choice to let her go. And it’s for the better because an argument can be made that Joule staying around in her current state isn’t healthy in the slightest. Not helping that before the prayer fight, he internalizes what happened as failure, that there was a failure on his part. Even though, he really didn’t have much control over Joule’s powers getting snatched and Copen wasn’t really helping matters much either.

By contrast Gv never seems to talk about what happened in the previous game, never even referring to Asimov by name only calling him “mentor”. Not helped by him having nightmares about his near-death experience and as far as we know is more content with just leaving it in the past. Which is fine but I wish it would have been brought up at some point.

Honestly, it feels kinda weird that we never get any sort of interaction with Joule that has him or Joule take a moment to talk about what happened. Neither of them talk about their experiences with sumeragi, or the whole Asimov situation. It also doesn’t seem like he ever got closer in that case and I don’t feel like he ever did.

Asg3: the reason this post exists

Now we get to asg3 which is the reason why I made this post, because it’s kinda frustrating in every way.

First we learn that gunvolt’s powers went out of control. One of the conversations have him point out that it could be due to the AB spirits. However due to this he ended up hurting Quinn, afterwards he turned himself in to sumeragi.

Now gv3 does make it a point to say that sumeragi isn’t that bad which is a problem due to all of the child experimentation. Gunvolt himself also makes it a point to bring up that the scientists don’t represent the whole of sumeragi, which while fair kinda feels weird because those scientists were part of a whole project that probably had the company’s ok.

Now gunvolt has been a dragon for decades, which is the story’s justification for abandoning every other plot line

Now we get to a frustrating part in the story which is the duo refights. The problem isn’t that it can be interpreted that they’re a personified version of his guilt. The problem is that because their so late in the story that it feels like the neither the story or characters really press on it. Which sucks because Gv never seems to get closer with Quinn.

Skipping to the end because Asimov and Nova deserve their own posts. Gunvolt’s story ends with him being turned into a baby and going … somewhere.

Now why is this all an issue?

The core of the issue stems from the fact that most of these events happen nearly every time we see him. Every time he gains something he’s forced to lose it. The only times he wasn’t was when he let Joule go.

Copen in the IX timeline at least gets to be able to have some sort of stability and despite having to kill his twin sister at least gains something in the same respect. Compare this to gv where it’s gut punch, gain something, then it’s gone. Gunvolt becoming a villain wouldn’t have been better either.

His story is doesn’t feel fun to go through it feels unreasonably depressing. His story could’ve been better if you just let him be happy for longer than the start or the end of a game.

The main diff here is that Ana did a pap walk with her BF the day of the premiere. She mentioned him in her jimmy Fallon interview. When she got to the airport in Cuba, her bf was with her (there was IG footage of her arriving and meeting her friend). She was at a party/theater later in Cuba and her bf was right next to her (also caught on IG footage).

He didn’t walk the red carpet with her but he’s been with her in literally all the important events in her life. With her at the afterparty for SAGs, Oscar’s, etc. She even posts IG stories wishing his sister a happy bday.

CE literally “arrived” with AB (either in the same car or met her at his car) - but no one would have known this had that TikToker not gone around the side of the car to catch the footage.

The main footage of them arriving at the premiere (on YouTube) only shows his car arriving and then a few minutes after - him and his publicist walking around from behind the car. This was intentional.

Otherwise, he could have just gotten out from the front side passenger part of the car (facing the cameras) and Megan could have come out with him. I know ppl will say we’re overthinking it, but when the stars arrive - if they’re sitting on the side of the car that faces the camera, why wouldn’t they just get out front to greet the paps and crowd?

CE is never again seen with AB on the red carpet or adjacent. There’s no post from G, Tara, the Waltons, afterparty, costars, etc.

Even the tabloids wrote out headlines saying, “the couple didn’t take pics on the red carpet”

Now why would you need to do/say all that? If you showed up, you showed up.

IMO, whether or not any of this was intentional - it still holds true to the pattern - “he doesn’t want to be seen in public with her.” - UNLESS it’s in the form of a very controlled environment.

So I’ve read your post on the latest FEH chapter and wow…. It still gets mind screwy as always.

Well, we are at least one month left until this whole story was over cause man, from what I’ve heard, this is the most glaringly inconsistent story.

Tho, I wonder if we’ll get to see Njoror despite him being killed off by Gullveig in this month's Legendary/Mythic banner…

I do hope that the New Years banner for next year will at least give the Vaneheimr characters proportionate designs….

I’m really baffled as to how they’re gonna wrap this up in ONE more chapter. I just realized that the story mentions that Kvasir was sent back in time after the Summoner is killed but they’ve… never shown that? They showed Heidr being sent back but that’s it. So there’s the Kvasir mystery and the unaddressed child we STILL haven’t seen confirmed (whether it’s supposed to be Kvasir or Heidr). I don’t know if I’m missing anything else…

Something tells me they won’t release Njoror, they’ll probably pull a Freyr with him a few years down the line. But I could be wrong on that. We’ll probably just get a dual Kvasir/Gullveig banner in November.

Now see, my problem with the designs isn’t so much the proportions themselves, but rather a bunch of other factors that I have gripes with. A character can have some absolutely huge knockers but that’s not a bad thing. Characters like Cornelia, Malice, Loki and Thorr, Camilla (yes Camilla),and even Freyja either have reasons that tie in to their designs, a good solid character design overall, or they’re part of a cast with diverse body proportions. My biggest issue with the character designs of Book 7 is how imbalanced they are. It’s just:

-Big tits and thighs

-Big tits and thighs but gold

-Big tits and thighs on a goat

-Big tits and thighs on a Miku Hatsune ripoff.

And additionally, I mentioned it earlier this year but… How are these designs any different from those hentai ads on Youtube that manage to skirt the ban on suggestive content? It’s kind of just trashy.

Finally, the story suffered because they wanted to be horny. Nerthuz is a shitty, useless character, Heidr has no significance to her personality or compelling character and only exists to be emotional fodder for Seidr, Kvasir shows up ONCE for some forced emotional bond with the Summoner, and Gullveig has no real motivation for doing the shit she does. Not even like “This world was so unkind to me, everything I loved was ripped from my grasp, so I will erase everything in vengeance”, it’s just “Prophecy and timeline demands this, it can’t be stopped blah blah blah”. Njoror was the only character who had potential and his motives were revealed last minute right before he died, creating absolutely no lasting impact.

I just really hope the next book isn’t also another horny-fest. IS unfortunately might be looking at the success of Gullveig being thirsted for in her CYL vote, and just keep cranking out bad designs and bad stories suffering for the sake of smut.

I agree, most films remove Marmee agreeing with Jo that she and Laurie would not be a good match, the only one that comes to mind that actually did this was the 2017 miniseries, but often, the other versions don't have this. I recall the 33 and the 49 versions do have some sort of scene with Meg in which we see that they talk about Amy and Laurie being together and her asking Jo if it's a problem.

But yes, Marmee being Jo's confidant, besides Beth, being taken out really does do more harm than good, as I feel that it takes away any sense of closeness she has with her family and the showing of her growth, otherwise it either happens on the inside which makes people wonder how she just quickly matured, or it doesn't happen at and she remains the childish and immature girl she started as.

Like the commenter said, Marmee is as much of Laurie' mother figure as she is Jo's actual mother. She has watched them both grow up, seen their flaws and their strengths, but she ultimately knows that they would be bad together. As she says in Chapter 32 when Jo asks why Marmee is glad Jo is not in love with Laurie :

“Because, dear, I don’t think you suited to one another. As friends you are very happy, and your frequent quarrels soon blow over, but I fear you would both rebel if you were mated for life. You are too much alike and too fond of freedom, not to mention hot tempers and strong wills, to get on happily together, in a relation which needs infinite patience and forbearance, as well as love.”

This insight not only enforces what Jo had felt as she said immediately after, “That’s just the feeling I had, though I couldn’t express it," but reaffirms to the audience that these two are destined to be nothing more than friends. This line makes it pretty obvious that the line Laurie says later, about how everyone wants them to be together is just not as true as he thinks. We do not see any of the characters trying to put Jo and Laurie together, not in the way that Jo had tried to put Laurie with either Meg or Beth. If that was really true, why didn't we see people trying to hook them up? Oh, because they didn't want them to!

It isn't surprising that fans of Laurie x Jo omit this bit, and to be fair if they have not read the book, they are going off of the movies that omit this scene, but still, it really takes away not only the obviousness of the anti-Jo and Laurie, but the quite a few of the character's depth.

okay so, not music related (if u twist it, it can be tho) but. you mentioned media and that so, top 5 films? my fav question to ask anyone as a (almost) film student

Finally found the time to answer this as I’m on a 3 hour train ride (willing myself to not make a 1975 reference right now) so here ya go!! thank you for your patience :)

1. Knives Out (Dir. Rian Johnson)

my favourite genre of typically everything will always be a good classic murder mystery (I am a massive agatha christie fan), I love anything that really makes you think and look out for stuff whilst you’re watching it and gets your heart pumping, so this is why this will always be my favourite film because of how masterfully it was developed. everything down to the angles chosen by rian to literally everything in the film (I’ve watched the videos where he breaks down scenes on YouTube so many times) is just perfect and makes so much sense — something that gets lost sometimes (in my opinion) in mysteries. although the sequel isn’t on my top 5 list, I genuinely think it was one of the strongest second instalments to any franchise and I throughly enjoyed it.

2. Red Eye (Dir. Wes Craven)

similar reason to knives out, I love the thrill of the film because of the confined space, which initially would make the audience think there wouldn’t be much you could use and get stuck, but I don’t think this was an issue in the film at all. my mate initially chucked this on without telling us anything about the film (besides cillian murphy being in it, which was enough to convince me) so imagine the surprise on my face when I realised this wasn’t a cute corny romcom. the ending fight sequence in the house was also fucking amazing and quickly shot to my top 5 list immediately after watching it. I also fancy the duck out of rachel mcadams so this was a bisexual dream.

3. Moulin Rouge! (Dir. Baz Luhrmann)

I just love love. I love love love love. the best love story to ever be told in such a extravagant way with an hilarious cast. this is also my favourite stage musical of all time and the way they adapted it was brilliant. really does pull the story together amazingly and teaches the audience a lot through it’s hard hitting ending — I cry every time, and despite my love for satine I don’t think I’d love this film as much if it didn’t end the way that it does.

4. JoJo Rabbit (Dir. Taika Waititi)

this is also another film that made me bawl so much when I saw it in the cinema, the way that it made me feel emotionally pulled on my heartstrings like no other film I had seen before, especially with the masterful shot of rosie’s shoes. that’s what got me (and I’m pretty sure what got everyone). to be on my top 5 list, a film either has to emotionally destroy me which makes me experience emotions I never thought I had, or blow my mind. as you can see every film on this list at least meets one of those factors.

5. Now You See Me (Dir. Louis Leterrier)

finally, the awesome film that is now you see me. I admittedly am quite obsessed with jessie eisenburg in this film (unashamed) and I feel bad for my friends who saw me whilst I was at my peak obsession with this film. but all the characters / cast compliment each other really well, and either I’m just insanely easily impressed (all of my friends will definitely agree with me on this) or the ending was just mind blowing. maybe a mixture of both? either way, I also think this film has one of the greatest scores of all time. truly is a masterpiece in every sense of the word!

I will mention the most recent film I watched in the cinema was Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Pt. 1 and I was absolutely blown away by it. some excellent directing and choice of shots, costumes etc. as a media student genuinely did feel that everything (down to the last detail) was carefully thought of. also so excited for barbenhiemer I will be watching them both on the same date as a double bill — it’s the law.

Get to know you - Sims Style

Thank you @bioniczombie for the tag! :D What’s your favorite Sims death? Absolutely, without a doubt: Death By Flies. I don't even know why, it was just so fun to watch in TS2. I don't kill Sims as much anymore, just because I have my favourites that I don't want to die--but every now and then, I still do. Honestly, if I don't like the Sim, I just delete them instead.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Mostly Maxis Match, but I do have alpha content because I liked it enough. I like semi-realism; not too cartoony, but not TOO realistic. Do you cheat your sims weight? Usually no, unless it's for a character's purpose. I actually didn't know the weight could change in TS3, until I realized my one Sim was gaining weight and while on her third pregnancy. I was doing a generational challenge at the time, so absolutely no cheating was allowed. Let's just say.... her weight could never be altered, lol. Do you move objects? Like... using moo? If so, yes. If not... I mean, like redecorating? Because also yes. Do you move objects? Oh--too many to name. XD I was thinking about doing a mod post, after seeing one yesterday.... and unfortunately losing it. x__x; There were some I would have liked to have had.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? Well... I'm not sure how to answer this one, as the Sims 1 pack I got had two EPs that came with it, then I got the other 3 as a bundle as well. Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? As aLIVE, as that made sense to me in my head. The other way just sounds so wrong. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

Oh---this is GOING to be tough. So from TS2 (( because I don't think he translated as amazingly to TS3, but still okay enough )) is always going to be Timothy Blake. My other favourite Sims are always going to be my pirate couple: they were my favourites in TS2 and I've made them TWICE in TS3--and this current version of them in my absolute favourite pairing. I don't really have any currently in TS4. I should try to make my pirate pair in TS4. Have you made a simself? Uh, yes--for my friend for her HG Challenge. She made one of herself and her kitty, so I made one of myself. And she KILLED me. XD I'm so offended, but her Simself at least paid her respects to me, and I do apparently haunt the house, so... it's all good, lol.

Which is your favorite EA hair color? I'm not entirely sure. I've downloaded some hair colours as well, so I can' be 100% sure if I'm liking an EA one or another, but: red. If you haven't noticed, I put red hair on almost every Sim. XD

Favorite EA hair? I think it's either one from Supernatural or a Store hair, but I've used it on my female Sims a lot, because it's cute and elegant at the same time. Also the pointy one from Into The Future--the one with the braids. Favorite life stage? Young Adult Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Well, I'm certainly NOT a builder, despite what you've seen. I'm more of a re-constructer. XD I like the gameplay, but, if I'm being honest, I love the CAS part more. I like fashion and designing things.

Are you a CC creator? ...yes? I don't have much, but I'm proud of what I have done. I wish I could do more, such as modding or at least getting my WIPs to work properly.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? I have very few friends in the Simblr/Sims community.

Do you have any sims merch? No, but it would be cool to see some stuff at Hot Topic or BoxLunch. Do you have a Youtube for sims? I wanted to, and I sort of have a few Sims vids up, but I really hate the sound of my voice, and I'm an introvert and even when doing private vids (( not for public-viewing, I should mention )) for my best friend when we exchange Christmas and birthday gifts, I'm usually the one NOT talking, lol. My friend chats away about everything, and I'm just "**unwraps gift carefully while being completely silent*". It took about fifty takes for me to do one Tik Tok dealing with my personal unexplained stories. How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? When it was TS2, I downloaded everything I saw that I liked. I tried not to do that in the beginning of playing TS3; only downloading some makeup, then it became shoes... then clothing.... and it just spiral after that. Now I really go for EA-only converted things (( build and buy-wise )) or something that is REALLY cute or truer to EA-lore (( or edited EA items )). CAS is another story. I have found clothing in my CAS that doesn't look good on Sims/is broken and I eventually take those out when I get the chance. I also realized I don't like non-Simlish words on my shirts, but I can't really do too much with those unfortunately. Who’s your favorite CC creator? This is going to be hard, because there are just too many: @mspoodle1 was probably the first one I ever followed on Tumblr because I liked her CC so much. ​I'm pulling out my pepe silvia board, but it's fine: I honestly think the main reason Tarhos and Vittorio are so hated as characters is just because of click bait youtube videos that proclaimed he could stall out the game until the servers timed when realistically that never happened. I remember one morning playing 10 games against knights back to back and honestly he's not any worse than any other anti-loop killer in the game, I hated playing against Nemesis and Twins far more, he has very clear indications of what you're supposed to do in certain situations we can even see that in the showcase done by a beloved streamer between a top knight player and a top skull merchant player.

I also think the fact that really the only lore channel in the community called Tarhos and Vittorio's lore "boring" also played a role in it, but what is their lore really? Tarhos fundamentally is a deconstruction of the Edwardian romanticism of the renaissance that led to what we see of knights saving princesses and being generally forces of good when at most points in history knights were just glorified gangs to the point where tournaments had to be made and organized to stop them from killing people.

He is a child slave, he's not some noble man who went to go protect the holy land or save people, he's a man whose lived all his life being treated like nothing more than a dog on a leash. He is not rich. He is not pious. Even though he's been groomed into that lifestyle even he sees through the churches bullshit, to him there is no sin there is no right or wrong it's just some big mix of cosmic mud he'll never care to make sense of.

Either all of it is good or none of it is in his eyes. To him the only thing that separates him from other people is he doesn't lie to himself about what he's doing. He is hurting people not that he has or ever had a choice in the matter, he's just grown to cope in a way that he enjoys it. As we can see in his tome he talks about everything that's happened to him like it happened to someone else an example being:

Tarhos scoops a few more maggots and tosses them into the mouth.

I have been around nobles and knights my whole life and all I’ve seen is cowardice steeped in the rotten stew of lies and hypocrisy.""

He is very clearly talking about when he was a child and his mother poisoning his family to try and avoid exactly what he's been through. On the other hand you have Vittorio, the survivor he came with, a 13th century Italian lord whose a pacifist who tried to find the fog, because he was told it was a paradise without violence or death. And debatably there could be a part of the entity like that, but that's not what either of them found.

Tarhos didn't even care about what Vittorio was doing until whatever happened over the course of the months they had been traveling together made one simple order, "Find another way", piss him off enough to kill and claim all of Vittorio's land for himself. Granted, could be entity influence after all Tarhos did carry the paradise stone out of those catacombs and it's what Vittorio's been unwittingly searching for the entire time, but Tarhos still makes a comment about how Vittorio only wants him to not be violent so he can sleep well at night.

That he doesn't deserve to hold such ideals Vittorio's entire fortune was secured with nothing but violence and stepping on others to secure such a petty need. He's a coward. The most cowardly lord he ever had served. Yet even in his tome, Tarhos doesn't hate him as much as he pretends to. Not only does he not kill Vittorio, he actively talks to him and thinks aloud telling him war stories and asking if he thinks he's mad, but especially so when other lords take notice of what Vittorio was studying.

That becomes the only reason why Tarhos is keeping him alive, because suddenly this idea of paradise is a much bigger deal than he thought. He's offered money, land, etc. to the people that want him dead, but the only thing they want is what Vittorio has on paradise. Which honestly could be the founding of the Black Veil for all we know. So of course when he gets pulled into the fog with the only 3 people he trusts he's going to see the entity as paradise.

And I can only imagine what he thinks when he sees Vittorio again.

a rant about Jumin’s BE2 (yeeeeppp) --> SPOILERS

So I just finished playing Jumin’s route for the second time around. This time, I had my sights set on snagging a Bad Ending. I wanted to skip past Bad Ending 1 (since I didn’t really want to act like all those women than Jumin hates), and that brought me to BE2 as my second option. I’d already seen YouTube videos of this BE, so I told myself I wasn’t going to be surprised or fazed, but I proved myself wrong. The process leading up to the BE was not cool. I have this headcanon thanks to someone who replied? left notes in the tags? (one of the two) that MC is on the brink of those “split personalities.” Once she starts thinking one way, the thoughts from what she could have thought completely vanish from her mind. It’s funny that the answer choices you can pick on Jumin’s route (to BE2) are: --> Let’s work this out together and be patient,,, we have all the time in the world. OR --> LET’S GET MARRIED, I WANT TO STAY IN THIS APARTMENT FOREVER, DON’T LET ME LEAVEEEEE!! Paraphrasing, but C’MONNNNN, there’s such a big gap between the two that if those were actually two separate options that MC thought she had...I would be just a teensy bit concerned. Jumin’s options, on the other hand, seem more realistic. He either has to choose to be patient for you so you can experience and grow a trusting bond and love together with “all the time in the world”... OR You encourage his dark thoughts in keeping you locked away in his apartment, where only he can tell you what to do, and you have no choice but to listen to him. Saying something like, “...make it so that I don’t ever escape from you, even if I wanted to” ISN’T OKAY. LIKE, GIRL, THAT’S SAYING YOU’RE GIVING UP YOUR FREE WILL. What if one day she really wanted to leave? MC convinces Jumin that the feelings he’s feeling, the desires to imprison her...are okay. She convinces him that it’s mutual. Every time I see the CG for BE2, I look closely. I think after staring at it a bit, you see that Jumin’s smirk is less than innocent. He has complete control over MC. He’s telling her what to do, and she’s obeying every wish and whim he has. He owns her. It’s unnerving. For any of you all saying this ending isn’t “bad,” let me first say I understand. Maybe something like this that’s STAGED and SCRIPTED would be okay. In fact, some people like that! It is legitimately a kink to be told what to do! But “kinks” like that should have their limits. There’s always boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed (hence, safe words, scripting, etc.) and this ending isn’t staged or scripted. MC must listen (and most likely do) everything Jumin says 24/7. This isn’t just something she’s doing for an hour or two, no, this is all day, everyday. Yes, she has everything she wants. Money, a handsome (boyfriend? it never mentions if they get married in BE2), and everything material thing she could ask for. But the cost her new life comes with is the cost of free will. And we can conclude that she can’t leave the apartment on her own anymore. A few more things before I wrap up! Some of the dialogue from Jumin heavily reminded me of Rika. He always has to keep tabs on MC to make sure that she’s not “being unloyal”. My least favorite line he says is: “But don’t be afraid. Whatever mistake you make, I will never abandon you.” Sound familiar? Sounds to me like Rika telling Ray she wouldn’t abandon him. (That being said, it also reminds me of Ray always begging MC not to leave him during his route...) To top everything in BE2 off, he ends it with the well-known words: “Don’t forget. We are in love.” Ooh, I hate that. Trying to put myself in his shoes, I’m attempting to feel that feeling of love, and it’s genuinely not there. It’s a hollowed out façade of “love”, if that’s what he really insists on calling it. I hate to break it to you, Han Jumin, but I don’t believe that “obsession” and “possession” is love. (I think we all know from V’s route that obsession usually leads to terrible things...) Still, his route has its redeemable traits, and his Good Ending really is a good ending. Anyways, sorry for the longer rant, I had a lot to say about this one, lol. I’ll be doing one for Seven’s route next (just give me about 11 days LMAO). Thanks for reading!!

hi! you don't have to answer and I'm sorry if I misunderstood what you said, but I think it's a little unfair to say you cannot distinguish people who criticise trop because they're racist vs because they don't want to support amazon vs because it doesn't follow the "original storyline". also the Jackson trilogy had its fair share of problems, but they mostly followed the story and I think the heart was there. amazon has to change a lot of plot points because they don't own the rights to the silmarillion, so it's not really the same thing. I understand the need for caution because unfortunately the tolkien fandom is full of misogynists and white supremacists, but I don't think it's as undistinguishable as you made it to be. again, sorry if you're done talking about this, I love your blog, nor trying to start any shit. ok bye <3

To be clear, what I mean is that the talking points are indistinguishable. If I see someone talking about how RoP is betraying Tolkien's vision or how this is a sin against Tolkien or how he's rolling in his grave and other such rhetoric, I cannot tell if that person is saying it because they don't like the canon changes, or because they are racist. Because I have seen all sides of the fence, often verbatim! make those same points. The only way to tell where they fall is often either digging quite deep into their social media, or by actually engaging with them in a discussion that can get incredible nasty very quickly. And even then, it is not a surefire thing. And with the massive weight of the backlash, often you don't really have time to do any of that in the first place. What I'm saying is that, no matter the original intention, the vitriol and aggression of the pushback against RoP is only serving the white supremacists, no one else.

Next, and I'll keep saying this until the cows come home, they have absolutely enough of the rights to the canon material to adapt the Akallabeth. They do not have to change a lot of plot points. They are making plot points, in order to fill in for the scarcity of character and plot within the actual text itself, but they are fully able to tell this story. They even have special dispensation from the tolkien estate to use material they dont have the rights too on a case by case approval basis. This is misinformation which is, I'm pretty sure, from the racist backlash on places like youtube.

Peter Jackson, I might add, had the rights to a fully written and characterised story with everything he needed and he STILL changed: - Every character's personality, and most of their motives and dialogue - Removed characters with large speaking roles and entire sections of the story including the ending to the whole thing! - Removed all of the complexity to the plot, the philosophy, the mentions of the west, boiled down every theme to something something 'friendship' and Frodo's whole agency in the ring's destruction entirely.

So I really don't see where RoP is going wrong if we're all fine with the jackson trilogy. Is it the heart? If you watched the interviews from cast and crew, I think you'd find a lot of what you're looking for. Peter Jackson was under the thumb of a massive profiteering mega corporation too, Harvey Weinstein literally produced those films.

I'm not saying you can't dislike it, I'm not even saying don't criticise it or hate on it! What I'm saying is #1 think about where you got the information that caused you to hate it, #2 make sure that's not misinformation #3 allow RoP's right to exist, even if you hate it. Don't treat tolkien's work like a religious text that cannot be tainted, it is still just a story and anyone could improve upon it if they wished.
