Cede I would absolutely love to see a list of why Ed is on the spectrum and adhd,,,, if you find the time,,,, pls let us see
Tumblr media
ED IS AUTISTIC/ ADHD!
Okay its like. 11:30 right now and I’m not super coherent cause haha Tired but I’m gonna try to just quickly list off a lot of the major things but uhh.
I’m not dividing up the ADHD and autism traits cause theres a lot of overlap and also im projecting and hve both. AHEM!!
- has a comfort item, gets pissed when it gets made fun of or ruined (his COAT!!)
- hyperfixating on certain fields of research (Marcoh’s notes, bioalchemy, human)
- guys alchemy is his special intrest please listen. Listen. Remember how in Rush Valley he compared childbirth to alchemy? THATS EXACTLY WHAT A SPECIAL INTEREST IS FOR! It helps us interpret and interact with the world!
- experiences emotional shutdowns (Nina, after finding out about Hughes, when Winry saw the inside of his watch, Hohenheim’s return to Resembool etc.)
- Ed has physical meltdowns too, most notably when he dug up what he and Al transmuted together. This was shown to literally knock him down for a full day and the storm made it worse on top of that.
- he’s not good at articulating himself outside of alchemy/ his special interest.
- He often doesn’t understand why what he says might upset people (like Rose)
- uses what he DOES know (alchemy, research, fighting) to communicate his feelings to those around him in the best way he can, like the fight with Al on the roof or when he proposed to Winry
- his brain is wired differently. Like we just see it in how he picks things apart during the show
- this one is small but I will never forget the scene in Rush Valley when Ed was desperately covering his ears from the whole childbirth thing. Like yeah understandable but also. Sensory issues
- actually Ed has more sensory stuff then that. Especially with sounds, I’ve noticed. He reacts to noise or words very animatedly and also Really Really dislikes being tactile. Ed dosnt really want to be touched if he can help it (mood)
- has little stims and tics!! He twirls his pen in enough episodes for me to think its a habit and always does this super specific 🧐 gesture. Also the clapping can definitely count as a reflexive impusle
- low key same foods (ACHOOO Apple pie)
- cannot Compute. When people. Do. Things sometimes. Like why is Mustang helping me?? Why does Hughes keep visiting my hospital room? Why is Major Armstrong Like That? He Isnt great at reading people unless hes close with them!
- the fact that Ed has no volume control and also yells a lot (vocal stim im JUST sayin—)
- WICKED tunnel vision when he gets interested in a topic. It was pointed out straight up in the Nina ep.
- okay my hands are gettibg tired and those are all the ones that can be backed up with evidence without me extrapolating. There’s some more but I don’t wanna have to analyze this too much lmao

Allright. Elliott thread that nobody asked for. Part 4
The words you read seem to be some alien gibberish? Try these first:
Part 1   |    Part 2     |   Part 3
Don’t worry guys. It will be over soon, I promise.
Bevore we start: This happened yesterday.
Tumblr media
And I basically turned into that iCarly gif, where she’s on the Computer, sippin’ her drink and goes: interesting.
Because look who we have here. Our future husband acting all self-aware? Right after I assumed in my last post that he never talks about the possibility of his failure...
Elliott, do you know that I talk shit about you on Tumblr?
Please stop breaking the 4th wall...
To safe at least some of my ‘credibility’, he followed this up with something along the lines of:
“No, no...I am not fishing for compliments. Which does not mean I don't appreciate them ;) “.
Sure. Whatever.
In comparison to that:
A few in-game days previously, I had a cut-scene with Leah, where the player can suggest that she should organise an art show. And there, Leah openly communicated her fears of ppl not liking her art. I was surprised about how open she was, given that it was probably her 2nd heart event or something (?). It's interesting, how Leah (who I perceived to be more reserved than Elliott), was so willing to let us know about her insecurities. Meanwhile, Elliot seems to brush these thoughts aside rather quickly and returns to his nonchalant, graceful self.
I always thought that from the two of them, it might be Elliott who is more vocal about his emotions. But now, Elliott doesn't seem to wear his heart on his sleeves as much as I thought he would. Which changed the way I think about him quite a bit. Maybe he is more likely to hide behind platitudes and a self-assuring smile, after all.
And what can we take from this, when we would want to write, let’s say a scene with Leah/Elliott friendship dynamic?
What do you guys think?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyways, before I was so disgracefully exposed, I was roasting Elliott’s life choices. To which I now gladly return to.
You see, the "issue" I see with Elliott is, that he plays into a trope:
The brooding hermitic author, who turned his back onto society in favour of finding inspiration in nature.
While this might sound thrilling and "romantic", we know that Elliott is not the best candidate to conform to this lifestyle. Just compare, how we as the player, manage to form quite strong relationships with everyone in Pelikan Town just by talking to them regularly.
We see Elliott outside the beach-area quite often. But aside from Leah, he does not seem to interact with anyone much. I don't know if there are statements about Elliott made by other characters, to have some inkling on how they feel about him. But its quite remarkable, how all other friendships outside to his connection with Leah, are not explicitly known as canon (?).
After a whole year living in this town, previous to our arrival, I would suggest, that Elliott might still be very much an outsider. He even remarks how, with our arrival, it will be nice, to no longer be "the new guy" in town.
But the problem with that might have been Elliott's reservedness, to begin with. Polite, but yet, maybe, quite impersonal. All pleasantries and platitudes as mentioned above. It all plays into Elliott's refusal to experience the comforts of a normal lifestyle in favour of pursuing his art.
And I love how Elliott just brushes that aside as if its nothing. I'd really love to know: what would have been his plan b, if his debut failed?
Worst case cenario: What would he'd done, if he ended up stranded in Pelikan Town, penniless and unsuccessful?
Where would he go? Is there a place he can return to? A previous home, previous friends?
I don't think so.
But, dedicated, impuslive, sweet, dumb Elliott just thought to himself:
“I can do that. How bad can it be???, it will be fi~ne.It will be marvellous!
Authentic, truly!
It will be superb pictouresque and that is all I need to write my novel....”
Thanks Yoba. You’ll keep doing that please.
And then we also have interactions of the likes of:
“People have scaped a living off the sea for thousands of years....
I just go to the grocery store.”
A different thought I had on Elliott kind of plays into what I already said previously. But I will adress it as its own topic.
The downside of Elliott’s ego.
As much as we explored the rather whacky / chaotic elements of his character and how he does stupid shit for prestige itself, it is interesting to see what happens when the player challenges his self-dramatisation.
I keep re-thinking if and to what degree Elliott can laugh about himself.
He is not one for self-deprecating humour, I think.
I can imagine that to be more Shane’s thing.
We see different scenarios, in which Elliott reacts differently to things not going his way. One of the positives is the whole “A tiny crab made a home inside his coat pocket”- story. I have seen two interpretations of this scene. And both are dependent on the tone, in which you read his dialogue. One group thinks he is just complaining yet again.
On the other hand, you could read it more like:
“My, look what we have here. Can you believe that [y/name]?!“.
I think that Elliott does not appear to be angry or annoyed at all in that scenario, too. He could have vented to the player, how he needs a new coat, now.  But he simply leaves it at that. And you know what?
But, there are other times, where Elliott reacts negatively to the player not doing what he wants you to do. Meaning:  your reaction to him or your behaviour in a specific situation. Let's look at his 2nd (?) heart event at the Stardrop Saloon. He comes up to the bar, finds himself in the mood for company, and orders wine for you and ale for himself.
New Headcanon:
That little crab still lives there! It will probably live there long after you two get married. And he will feed it scraps from the dinner table even though you ask him not to.
Whatever...Sounds Cute.
My first reaction to that was: “aw, wHaT a GeNtLemAn!!!”. My second reaction was my inner feminist having a temper tantrum because: “how dare a man, to assume what I want to drink!”
New Headcanon on Elliott and gender roles, anyone? Or is it given, that with him being a good old fashioned lover boy, his expectation on any relationship dynamic might be more traditional?
As much as I find Elliott charming and all, this could be a great red flag and, again, beautiful material for character-conflict. Maybe Elliott needs to learn to not take everything at face value. Maybe he needs to learn, how to take a joke. Especially those made at his expense.
However, when the question arises, what the two of you should drink on, he will not laugh if you say “your doom”.
This is not something he sees as sarcasm or as a joke. In fact, you lose 50 friendship points! Like holy shit. That in itself is not much, but its a game-penalty. He is actively reacting negatively toward you. This is one of the few times, where your decision actively has an impact on the friendship-metre. Of course, that statement could be delivered in a non-joking matter. Which then justifies his reaction.... sure.
But even the fact that Elliott chooses, to not downplay or gloss-over your comment, leaves me with the following interpretation:
He hoped for a charming, flirtatious interaction. All you had to do, was to play along. But you ruined it.
Just imagine a situation with a little bit of miss-communication and a version of Elliott that is a little too proud for his own good and *chef's kiss* we have drama.
Me to Elliott and Farmer-OC: fight! fight! fight! fight! :D
All of you reading right now:
omg can't you just chill??? We are here for the fluff :(((
Also: depending on how it's written, that could be one of Elliott's major character flaws. The one that is not cute at all!
__________________________
I wanted to take some jabs at Elliott's likes and dislikes. But as it turned out: Yes, you can turn Duck feathers into quills. I had this funny headcanon that Elliott wanted to be extra special by choosing duck feathers as his preferred writing instrument. And I was all like: “use a pen!!”.
But then I found out about the Unobtainable Weapons-List and Elliott’s pen is one of them. Okay, whatever.
And then I asked google how to make quills. And while duck feathers are not the preferred or most popular option, there is also nothing that would speak against it, as long as the feather’s shaft is durable enough. So that theory has flown out of the window pretty quickly as well.
The only thing that comes to my mind instead is, how Elliott would still need a digital manuscript for publishing. But me screaming: “Where is your Laptop Elliott??? You need a computer! Its the 21 century!!!” is not half that funny anymore.
I guess I’ll end it here.
I hope you enjoyed this completely useless stream of consciousness.
I will now continue playing Stardew Valley and indulge in all my other quarantine-born obsessions.
I wish you a wonderful day and happy farming.
This Thing
Tumblr media
de·hu·man·i·za·tion
noun
the process of depriving a person or group of positive human qualities.
This thing A meta on the dehumanization of villains done by the heroes in the manga My Hero Academia, if you’re interested read more underneath the cut.
Before saying anything else, yes crimminals are a group of people who can be dehumanized. People who break the law are still in fact people, and while this is mainly talking about a fictional work it’s worth remembering that dehumanization is a tactic used to justify violence and the taking away of human rights from crimminals and incarcerated people.
People are still people. No matter what bad things they do they’re still people. And victims are victims even if they don’t present their victimhood in easy to digest ways. The conflict in My Hero Academia is one much more complicated than hero vs. villain because it exists within a society that generates its own villains through intentional neglect. I say neglect, because most heroes seem to be of the perspective that villains are either born evil, or choose to do evil entirely of their own free will and are never victims of circumstances or forced into the livelihood.
Villain isn’t just what costumed crimminals are called in MHA, it’s a literal legal definition that are given to certain crimminal offenders. We don’t know what exactly the legal ramifications are, but the fact that you can literally be called a villain just for being a repeat offender shows the way hero society views it’s crimminals.
Tumblr media
Villain has different connotations, it means an inhuman evil, not just a person who has done bad things. Police also have much more power in comparison to our society as well, in the manga vigilantes when his sister Makoto brings up the fact that technically her friend who has been accused of villainry is innocent until proven guilty and formally charged.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukauchi gets physically angry with her.
Tumblr media
What’s important in this situation is the girl they’re arguing about pop step is an innocent victim. She was kidnapped by a man, had a parasite inserted into her brain and is being physically controlled. What she needs to be is saved not put down, but the law is so inflexible it’s only capable of seeing her as a villain not as a person caught in a bad situation who needs to be saved from that situation.
And it’s much later revealed that there is technically a way to save her life, but because it requires breaking of the laws the police and heroes won’t ever do it. Beating her up won’t save her, it’ll just kill her as an innocent victim of circumstance, and stop her from doing any more damage to the people around her. Even if the police knew the way to save her life they won’t attempt it because it breaks the law.
Tumblr media
Being a by the book cop is all well and good, but when the law that exists doesn’t protect people there’s something wrong with the law. This isn’t an isolated incident either, we’re shown over and over again in the main manga as well this is always how villains are responded to, violent suppression.
Tumblr media
At the start of the manga Shigaraki says this, that heroes and villains are both violent but because heroes are categorized as such their violence suddenly becomes heroic. All Might just dismisses what he says as him being a madman.
Tumblr media
Not only that but in the aftermath of the break in the heroes all attempt to dissect Shigaraki’s character. They all make him out to be some kind of insane person that could have no possible rationale or reason behind his actions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They dismiss Shigaraki’s attack as him simply being a man-child who thinks he can do whatever he wants. There’s no possible way that he could have any kind of sympathetic reason or human rationale, because he’s a villain, right? Except we learn later that’s not the case.
The words that Shigaraki is saying to All Might echo the words of his abuser. Shigaraki is like this not out of his own choice, but because he was deliberately shapped and moulded by someone. The reason why Shigaraki is impuslively violent is because as a literal five year old he was exposed to violence over and over again, and told this is who he was, this is what he was for.
Tumblr media
All Might later discovers that Shigaraki is not only the son of Nana Shimura’s son, a child he was personally responsible for when his mother died but decided to go along with his mother’s plan to abandon him (for his protection) and then also that All for One had specifically raised Shimura Tenko as a weapon against him. All Might knowing completely the manipulative kind of man that All for One is, and that Shimura must have been young when All for One took him in. Is still able only to see Shigaraki as a crimminal.
Tumblr media
He is literally told that he can’t see him as anything other than a villain otherwise his judgement would be affected. At this point it’s not even ignorance, it’s intentional neglect. All Might SHOULD know that something is up with Shimura Tenko and that he didn’t choose to become a villain and was most likely influenced by All for One and yet the heroes all choose to ignore that fact and instead put him down like any other crimminal.
The problem with dehumanizing crimminals is that cops are not omniscient. Cops make mistakes. Cops are wrong, like... a lot. When you give people the power of law, there are people who are victims who were just trying to survive who are going to get caught up and treated exactly the same as people who are genuinely dangerous and out to hurt others like AFO. There are people who are perfectly innocent sometimes who will get caught up in it too.
People like Tsukauchi and Gran Torino may be good cops, they may be by the book cops, but that’s it. They’re the type that gets angry at the fact that due process exists because they believe that cops always suspect the right people, and that their hunches are never wrong or they could never possibly arrest someone who doesn’t deserve it. Neither of them acknowledge that the system is flawed and often makes mistakes, and because of that they end up believing that the police are always in the right, that the police could never prosecute someone wrongly, and those are dangerous beliefs to have for literally any law system, especially one with guys that shoot lasers out of their eyes.. The reason due process exists is not to slow the hand of justice, it’s because the legal system is really flawed.
The problem with giving too much power to police is that we don’t exist in a perfect world where the police will obey even their own laws. Why don’t we just put cameras in everybody’s houses? People who aren’t doing anything illegal won’t have anything to worry about. Unless suddenly things like speaking out against the government become illegal because the police now have the power to enforce it. What I’m saying is the rule of law does not necessarily = good or evil. Rules are not always good, and they’re also not absolutes they change all the time, and they also don’t always exist to protect people they need to protect. We see this literally happen in My Hero Acadmia, the government uses it’s power to kidnap a child and erase his name literally the exact same way All for One did so he could be raised as a child soldier.
Tumblr media
The conflict in My Hero Academia is not good guys vs bad guys, especially when the good guys don’t even act as good guys, and a step beyond that rigid laws and adherence to social order is not ever going to solve the problems associated with villains like Shigaraki because those laws are fundamentally unjust. They don’t exist to protect the people who most need protecting, they exist to oppress a minority in order to maintain social order.
Yes, violent crimminals are still a group of people. They are still human beings with rights. If they’re not guaranteed those rights they will be abused. We’ve literally seen this play out in action.
Tumblr media
Hawks corners Twice, and then says he’ll go out of his way to Save Twice because he personally likes him. The only one of the villains Hawks treats as a human and not just an enemy to put down is Twice, and only because he personally likes him.
Tumblr media
Twice brings up the fact that all of his friends deserve to be saved the same way he is. In fact, he even goes out of his way to say that he would die to save these people, and Hawks just ignores them because he sees no humanity in them only the one he personally likes.
Tumblr media
Then Hawks goes out of his way to mention that if Twice doesn’t stop fighting back, it’s his fault if they die. Twice is trying to argue with Hawks that the people he sees as a danger to society, and that need to be taken down are humans capable of being kind just as much as they are a threat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Twice murders him. He goes out of his way to murder him and stab him in the back. Hawks acting in a capacity as a hero, goes out of his way to dehumanize Twice again and again, completely ignore his own feelings and words, and then that conflict eventually escalates to murder. The point is not that Hawks had no choice but to kill him, but rather Hawks convinced himself he had no choice but to kill Twice.
The problem with applying this extremely harsh and punitive, even war-like view of law and order is that innocent people like Twice who literally only wanted to keep his friends happy will get caught up in it. Hawks literally thought that Twice had a chance for rehabilitation, that of the league he was the one most likely to rehabilitate and he still murdered him.
Heroes aren’t interested in rehabilitation. They are there to beat up villains. For several of them, it’s not even that far of a jump to get to the point where they start justifying killing villains. Miruko is almost excited to murder the Nomu who are, you know, innocent victims of mad science.
Tumblr media
They want to take down Ujiko, but they don’t care at all about his creations which are all former people, and the heroes know this by this point. Finally, I want to discuss one of the most empathic characters in the manga.
Tumblr media
Aiawa is the current guardian of Eri. He participated in the mission to rescue her from Chisaki. He is someone who views Eri as a victim, and never gets upset with her or blames her for her out of control quirk the same way Chisaki once did.
Not only that but Aizawa himself has had a friend kidnapped and stolen away by All for One. He knows personally what All for One can do to a person, by changing Shirakumo to Kurogiri he completely warped his personality and controlled him to the point where the person he once was was almost gone.
Tumblr media
He knows All for One is capable of having that affect on people, not only that but Kurogiri himself says that Shigaraki is like a lost kitten that he can’t throw away because he feels responsible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aizawa has rescued a victim who is in similiar circumstances to Shigaraki. Aizawa has literally seen his best friend warped and changed by All for One’s hand. It should be obvious what Shigaraki has been through by now, and yet Aizawa doesn’t seem to care about Shigaraki’s circumstances at all.
Tumblr media
Shirakumo has done bad things in AFO’s name as well. However, Aizawa decides to see Shirakumo as a victim. Even though Shirakumo is also complicit in the grooming and raising of Shigaraki for what he is, and almost certainly had a hand in manipulating him.
Aizawa empathizes with Kurogiri because he knows him personally, because he wants Shirakumo back. He doens’t bother to care about Shigaraki, because he doesn’t know Shigaraki personally. It’s not only hypocritical, it’s also just plain ignorance.
Aizawa is literally given every story reason to care. Shirakumo literally tells Aizawa that Shigaraki is a person he wants to protect and that he’s fond of. Aizawa believes that despite the terrible things he’s done, there’s still the boy who wanted to become a hero somewhere in Kurogiri, and he’s literally proven right.
Tumblr media
Shirakumo still has a chance and is given a chance to become a hero, because Aizawa cares about him because they were friends but that’s about it. It’s not like Aizawa is driven by a very rigorous and strict sense of justice. He’s clearly willing to make exceptions, even for people who have put his students at risk, or even personally attacked him. He’s willing to reach out and understand Shirakumo’s circumstances, so clearly he doesn’t have a completely black and white view of good and evil. However, Aizawa’s reasons for sympathizing with Kurogiri and only Kurogiri are ultimately pretty selfish. It’s because he wants Shirakumo back. He doesn’t care about the circumstances, or even who Kurogiri cares about now he just wants his old friend back. Therefore he has no reason to care about Shigaraki who was victimized in a similiar way to Kurogiri, just because he doesn’t know him. I guess you’re not obligated to care about anybody, but it’s the exact opposite of empathy, especially in a character like Aizawa who has always shown to be especially protective of children. Nobody tries to understand Shigaraki, nobody tries to empathize with him, even though he also once had the exact same dream as both Shirakumo, and even Deku.
Tumblr media
But Shigaraki’s just a monster that needs to be put down and stopped, there’s not a fragment of good in him like there was for Kurogiri, like there was for Twice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aizawa even gets angry at Ujiko for the callous way he treats human lives. For the way they were tossed aside. He’s righteously angry for Ujiko’s victims, especially Kurogiri. But he doesn’t stop to think for a second that Shigaraki is possibly another victim manipulated by the likes of Ujiko. Once again because Aizawa doesn’t personally know Shigaraki, or because Shigaraki is a bad person, who cares if he gets hurt and manipulated by Ujiko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we see by the heroes, Shigaraki referred to as a thing, Shigaraki referred to as an it. He’s just a monster to be stopped. It’s like he’s a boss in a video game the heroes need to kill.
Even though they literally see him being experimented on by Ujiko, an actual abuser who has used his money and connections to commit inhuman experiments his whole life that too must be Shigaraki’s fault somehow. The heroes are repeating the exact same lines that Shigaraki’s abuser All for One did on him.
Tumblr media
By treating him as a monster. By treating him as a thing that needs to be killed, rather than a person who needs to be saved. They are doing All for One’s work for him by creating a symbol of fear and robbing a lifelong victim of abuse of his humanity. It’s like they want villains like Shigaraki to exist so they can remain heroes.
Piano Demon Headcanons (1)
Rarely does anything aside from practicing piano. Is often found glued to his instrument and doesn't make eye contact when spoken to.
Very reclusive. Prefers to be left alone 99.9% of the time. He really enjoys quiet time with his music.
Really invested in musical theory. If someone were to start speaking to him about melody, rhythm, counterpoint, harmony, form, tonal systems, scales, tuning, intervals, consonance, dissonance, etc, he would listen very intently. He'd barely say a word as the person is speaking but take in every aspect of the conversation. It's the quickest way to get him to pay attention to you, as he usually doesn't enjoy talking to others.
If you're lucky and I mean really lucky, he'll become extremely talkative and start going off about how music can enrich everything in life if used correctly. He would offer his two cents on musical theory and start going deep on what works, what doesn't, how it can effect others' moods, etc. While you may be lucky to get him to talk like this, you won't be so lucky with getting him to stop once he's started. I hope you're just as passionate as he is because buckle up sugar, you're gonna be there awhile. Alastor has seen this side of him and finds it adorable. Honestly, it's in those moments where their bond really comes to the forefront. Many view their relationship as cold and distant due to The Piano Demon's personality. But behind closed doors and when The Piano Demon rarely opens up, Alastor and him couldn't be more in sync. Often cutting each other off or finishing the other's sentence when discussing music, having epiphanies at the same time that just escalates their passion. Every instance this occurs, Alastor falls even more in love with him. Granted, he's as stoic as ever, there's no changing that. But he wouldn't have it any other way.
Tea is his favorite thing to drink. He'll pretty much take whatever you give him but he prefers it to be hot.
Isn't a fan of alcohol. Could drink the hardest of liquor and be completely underwhelmed. He just dislikes the taste.
He is a lover of Jazz and Swing.
He adores chocolate truffles. He mentioned he liked them once very casually and Alastor showered him with them. He may not care for sweets himself but that doesn't mean he won't buy them for his Darling!
He very much enjoys spicy food. Do not ask to have a bite from his plate unless you want your jaw to melt off. He is willing to share but he is one of those people who eats the equivalant of the sun, looks you in the eye and says "This? This isn't even hot."
He knows how to cook. When Alastor can actually rip him away from the piano, they often cook together and sit with one another for dinner. It's a very good bonding experience for the both of them. Though again, it is a rare occurance. Getting that man away from the piano is nearly impossible.
He dislikes loud noises and loud people.
He's often told he chose the wrong spouse, then.
He dislikes any physical activity that is exhausting, especially dancing.
He dislikes being touched. He is fine with Alastor hugging him or linking their arms together. He is also fine with others showing him affection if they ask for it and are close to him. Though touch is something he mostly can do without.
He severely dislikes Rap and Hiphop. He believes all music should be respected but if asked, he'll criticize it very harshly.
Social gatherings are his kryptonite. He'll omniously stand in a dark corner if he is forced to go to a party if he can't find a piano he can glue himself to.
He dislikes his Overlord status. When asked why, he'll simply answer that he loves music. It is believed that he does not concern himself with doing things out of ego and distants himself from the others.
He dislikes arrogance.
He dislikes sleeping. Evidenced by his constant practice and performances.
"Dear, are you sure you're getting enough rest?"
"I occasionally close my eyes when I sneeze."
If he is not able to practice his music, he becomes agitated.
He does not like to be interrupted. If he is, he'll let the person finish but will be very annoyed afterwards.
He has a very positive relationship with Rosie. They share lunches together and chat on their off time.
Mimzy sometimes joins him for a walk or to think about the old days.
Though Charlie's enthusiastic nature is a bit much for him, they get along rather well. He likes her appreciation for music and will instruct her if she asks for tips.
Husk can actually sit down and talk to him. Most of it is just ranting and drunk grumbles but still a conversation. He can actually relax around The Piano Demon. He creeps Husk out a lot, with the mask and barely saying a word. But he doesn't piss him off which is refreshing. Husk would even says he likes the guy.
Mainly because he's very different from Alastor and other Overlords in a lot of ways. He will often scold Alastor if he tries to mess with him and treats him with respect. Alastor barely pushes his buttons when he's around. Husk is more likely to listen to him because of this. Not by much but it's something.
Niffty adores him. She'll often bounce around him while he walks or ride on his shoulders. The Piano Demon will sometimes read while she cleans to keep an eye on her. She loves the sound of his voice! If Niffty finds the time, she'll sit beside him as he practices and will listen quietly, kicking her feet.
Stolas is good friends with him. He will request his company at random times when he gets lonely. Stolas can get really flirty a lot of the time. Though he respects his boundaries. While The Piano Demon can do without the advances, he does enjoy the time he spends with him. Though he constantly has to reel in Alastor's jealous temper whenever he so much as mentions the prince.
The Piano Demon has access to the living world.
He, Alastor, and Mimzy knew each other when they were alive.
The Piano Demon and Lucifer have an odd relationship that even Alastor doesn't know the full extent of. It is implied they hold conversations in a void where no one else can hear them. What do they talk about? One can only speculate.
Only Alastor has seen his real face. No, he will not be providing details.
He is open to modern technology. He owns a smart phone that his underlings at the I.M.P company gifted to him. He mostly uses it for business, though.
Blitz calls him "Boss-Man" despite it being techinically incorrect. He's scared to death of him.
His cause of death is unkown.
He is indifferent to Vox and Alastor's chaos and rivalry, including Vox himself. They could be destroying a city behind him while bickering and he'd just sip his morning coffee while looking over his piano sheets.
The nature of his and Vox's relationship is odd. Vox despises his lover and causes him trouble yet the guy has literally zero reaction to his presence. Even Vox is perplexed on their dynamic. All in all, they're neutral to each other.
He would create a social media account out of curiousity. However, he is busy a lot of the time so he wouldn't manage it very well.
Would converse in a group chat with other Hotel residents, though. The others would tease him for being an old man for refusing to use anything other than proper grammar and puncuation.
Is known for roasting people's entire souls without knowing what "roasting" is. He'd probably respond by saying he does not eat other sinners and everyone would die laughing.
Him and Alastor have a relationship like Gomez and Morticia. Though he isn't very outwardly affectionate, Alastor is able to pick up on the sudtlies of his behavoir and react accordingly. Even if to outside viewers his feelings appear to be unreciprocated and delusional.
He is not fond of Alastor's dad jokes.
Alastor will often tease him with some just to get a laugh.
This may or may not end well in The Radio Demon's favor.
He is the only one who can reel in Alastor's chaotic impusles.
"Alastor, no-"
Is a very common thing to hear. Only difference with him is Alastor actually listens. ....Most of the time.
When he doesn't? The Piano Demon can at least convince him to stop before things get too messy.
He can play multiple instruments but sticks to the piano.
He is also asexual.
I feel like I’m the only one that didn’t completely hate season three or actually prefer it to season 2.
There where definitely things I didn’t like but over all I think the season was pretty good.
The things I didn’t like:
Martin’s death. Felt unnecessary but I didn’t expect it before the season started so I’ll give them that. I guess they wanted to show his love for Simone and the death scene was super sad. I just think they could have had them together in the end and changed the whole story arch from Martin getting infected to him finding out about Simone before and leaving to find her. He came such a long way and he was such a good character. He deserved better. His death also made the impact of the ending and Rasmus death seem less impactful? Because Simone cried her eyes out at him dying and when Rasmus died later on they couldn’t have her have another breakdown so they took another route which made it feel like she didn’t care as much about Rasmus?
The weird animal like kids. It felt like they wasted a lot of time on them when they didn’t bring much to the plot. But I do like that they showed more people trying to survive the aftermath of the virus and how miserable people were. I just wish they had showed it in an other way instead of kidnapping Luna, drugging the rest of them and destroying the flower that ended up killing all but one of them.
Sarah. I just don’t like her. Didn’t in season 2 and didn’t now. I’m really indifferent towards her. I like that she can stand her ground and does what she wants and that she was like no, when Rasmus wanted her to kill all of their friends. But in the end she being there for the sacrifce just made it feel less impactful for me because I just don’t care for her character. I wanted the end to focus on Simone and Rasmus and them only. I just don’t think Sarah and Rasmus’ lovestory is that epic or impactful. Oh and how did she just end up at Apollon? Like how? So random?
The things I was okay with:
The flower cure. Felt a bit random but I really liked that there was a cure and I liked that it fed and lived from the virus itself was great. I just wanted a bit more explanations. How did it end up in the swiming pool? Where did it come from? Maybe a few more flashbacks from Daniel’s past.
Sten. And mainly the pacing of his story lina. AKA them killing him off relatively early. I enjoyed seing his whole plan to get invincible backfired because his plan to let Rasmus infect him was really flawed. What did he expect? But after him maniuplating and using Rasmus for months if felt satisfying to see him go. But I had expected him to last a bit longer and play a bigger part in the end. Maybe Rasmus switching sides in the end and go after him? I’m not gonna lie for a long time I was convinced it was gonna be revealed that Sten was Rasmus dad. Especially when Rasmus and Simone talked about their dad and him saying he loved rasmus? Was it one last effort to manipulate him or what? I’m a bit intrigued.
The world outside of the wall. I’ve seen people say that they didn’t like the fact that the virus spread outside of the wall but it didn’t bother me at all. Felt very Scandivian to have it that way.
Jean. I really didn’t like him in season two. In season 1 he was alright but in season 2 I couldn’t stand him. Felt like he grew a bit in season 3 though and went from only following Lea to grieving her and trying to move on, and to become more of his own character.
Simone. Loved her in season 1 and 2 but in season 3? Why was she so impuslive and also super unsympathatic at times? Half the time she felt pretty indifferent towards the fate of Rasmus when she spent most of season 1 and 2 trying to save him?
Rasmus. Now, Rasmus is my overall favourite character but in season 3 I didn’t love him all the time. Didn’t like his more power hungry side and that he became Sten 2.0 for a couple of episodes. But then I remind myself that his story is so tragic and that he lived at Apollon for 3 months by himself and in the hands of Sten which makes me feel for him.
What I really liked:
Patrick. Best character arch. Softest boy. Best guy. Have feared his death since before season 2. Loved what he did in season 3. Love him and Fie together. Feel so sorry for him that he lost Martin.
Fie. I really loved Fie this season. She is strong and smart and she did what she thought was right but still looked out for herself and her baby.
Kira. Same here. I just love her. She is so good. A strong leader but also so vulnerable. Loved that she let her guard down around Jean and that we got to see more of her backstory. The only good swedish character? Haha, all the others were so bad (as in villians) not as in badly written.
Daniel. Dare I say the best new character they ever introduced after season 1? Maybe a tie with Kira. He deserves love and happiness and I’m so glad he lived. I was super scared he was gonna die.
Rasmus’ fate. I liked tha fact that he died in the end. It felt fitting. He was saved by the virus so it made sense that he was destined to die. He would have died as a child without it as well. I also like the twist that while trying to save others he made himself weaker and the virus started attacking him. It was like he was feeding all of them his own energy, making them stronger and him weaker. Like I said he was gonna die anyway. I’m glad he changed his mind right at the last second and that the show focused on its core which is Simone and Rasmus. I just wish the scene lasted a bit longer and that Sarah wasn’t involed. The last scene with Simone sitting by Rasmus side though and running her fingers through his hair? I tear up just thinking about it. Such a tender scene. I just wanted them to have one more loving moment together. Rasmus was so lonely throughout most of the series. In season 1 he had Simone and connected only with Beatrice and she died. In season 2 with Sarah and she died and returned. And in season3 he mostly had Sarah because Simone was elsehwere doing her thing and planing to kill him. Meanwhile Simone made all kinds of realtionships with almost all of the people she met. It just makes Ramus fate even sadder but also more fitting. He only had Simone and really wanted her approval and felt let down by her because she lost fate in him which makes sense. Ugh now I’m sad. I wish he had gotten to hear her say that she loved him again.
The infected. I liked that they didn’t make all of them emotionless killing machines which they easily could have done. In the end they didn’t become evil and they didn’t actually want to kill anybody. They were still kids. The virus did affect them but ultimately they were still human. What would have been cool would be to see some flashbacks from them though.
The acting. Especially Alba and Lucas and this season Lucas in particular. I think he really showed alot of Rasmus’ sides and while I hated his more dark side think Lucas did a solid performance. And Alba has always been great. And the rest of the cast is solid too.
The characters over all. Many people have said that the characters were all over the place and I’ve heard people complain about them being stupid, whiny etc throughout the whole series but in my opinion the rain is really good at showing character’s with flaws and strengths that remain consitant throughout the show but with development nonetheless.
Overall I think season 3 was pretty good. Not as good as season 1 but I still prefere it to season 2. I would change some parts though and would have added a couple of episodes in order to develop some plots. I do agree with people saying it became less character driven which was always what I loved in season 1. And therefore I understand people’s disappointment. I just don’t think it was that bad.
That’s all I guess. Pretty ranty and I guess not many people will even read or care. But if you want to share your thoughts, good or bad that would be awesome.
5000 Questions Part 1
I found this cool 5000 question survey. I’ll be posting 100 answers every few days or so, whenever I feel like it, until I get through all of them. Don’t worry, they’ll be hidden behind a “keep reading”. You should also participate! The questions are over at https://5000questionsur.livejournal.com.
1. Who are you? Alice 2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you?  My real identity will never be revealed on this blog, most of these posts are word vomit, meditation significantly improved my well-being.
3. When you aren't filling out 5,000 question surveys like this one what are you doing?  Probably watching Netflix or wishing I was asleep.
List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time).  I really liked my cognitive psychology class and some of my other psychology classes. Math and history were always my least favorite.
