I think it’s time I introduce my doomed ancient yuri to the ninjago fandom. I’ll leave the story under the cut if anyone wants to read it 💜 it includes my Wojira backstory and why I draw Nyad as oni

Wojira is the younger, less powerful sister of firstbourne, I think. Wojira and Firstbourne we’re both chill with Oni, but Firstbourne was more Reserved about it . Like, she didn’t enforce weird rules or anything but she also . Didn’t stop her kids from being really awful.

Wojira spent more time with Oni than other Dragons. Even her kids (wind and water Dragons) were sort of weird about it. She didn’t really like the sort of power hoarding attitude of the other Dragons and decided to teach them a lesson about it.

When the first master was born she realized that Oni blood COULD bear elemental magic, and she took in two Oni kids (Nyad and her brother who I made up and haven’t named yet lmao) and gave them wind and water (separately) magic. And the other Dragons were VERY mad about this. They thought it was disgraceful.

They tried to get Firstbourne to banish her . Firstbourne refused and so her kids just all worked together to banish her instead. And sort of gave her a fucked up cursed eternal headache (in the amulets) Whoops . Nyad and her brother followed Wojira into the realm of Ninjago and tried to ease her pain for years but eventually it just sort of broke her mind and she started laying absolute waste to everything.

The FSM goes through his whole story (still figuring out details of it in my headcanons) and comes to Ninjago, desperate for a new home. And Nyad and her brother (I really need to name them DIFNDKFM) are scared of him at first. But he shows them his elemental magic and they realize he’s like them (Oni with elemental magic). And they bond over that and tell him about Wojira. The first master decides to help Nyad convince the Merlopians and Islanders to resist Wojira and hopefully bring peace to the realm.

Over several months they become good friends, and they often calm Nyad’s brother by making beautiful little worlds out of their elemental magic for him. And the FSM promises that one day Ninjago will be safe like these worlds, and they’ll all be able to live there.

And these very very lonely people have made a little family.

Of course, the Oni hunters are sent to track down the FSM, and Mystaké is the first to find them. She announces herself and demands the first master return with her. He begs to stay just long enough to make this world safe for the people there, and she reluctantly agrees when they show her the safe world they’re planning to build. It looks beautiful.

Mystaké joins their efforts, hoping to speed along the process of the first master’s return to the first realm, but she finds herself amazed by their magic and (worse) deeply fond of the little trio. She falls in love with Nyad, and starts letting herself indulge in their hopeful fantasies of a safe world where no one will find them. In this time, Nyad gives the FSM a name of his own to use when they have their safer world. Hajime.

When the preparations are as ready as they’ll ever be, the Battle of Nine Days begins. On the eighth day, Nyad’s little brother (who wasn’t even fighting) is struck near-fatally, and Nyad launches a risky attack to try and end the battle once and for all. It’s unsuccessful, but she realizes Wojira’s weak spot. Like in canon, she merges with the sea, desperate to give the others a chance at the world they’d all hoped for, and hoping that her brother could be saved if the battle ended and he could get proper help.

She knows she should kill Wojira, but she can’t bring herself to. And instead of killing her she decides to take the amulets, and send Wojira into a deep, painless sleep, hopefully eternal.

Hajime is devastated by Nyad’s death, and though Mystaké grieves her as well, she’s a lot more accustomed to death, and watches her go, surprised by the ache in her heart.

The brother lives, but passes on his element very soon after the events of the battle, sick of it’s consequence. Hajime builds the new world and appoints new masters, though he doesn’t know where the water and wind elements went (not his domain). Mystaké never even brings up the idea of taking Hajime back to the first realm again, and protects him from other hunters when she can. Hajime lives a long long time before choosing to pass on and find peace for himself. Mystake lives another thousand years, farming strange enchanted teas, occasionally a companion to Wu and Garmadon.

In Hunted, she confides in Lloyd that if or when she dies, she would like to be sunk into the sea where the battle took place (not that she tells him the story. Just the location), and Lloyd thinks it’s just some weird senile old lady talk. But when she does die at the hands of his father and the Sons of Garmadon in Hunted, Lloyd doesn’t get a chance to row her out until after March of the Oni.

She liked Lloyd. He was a lot like Hajime.

Hc/lore theory(idk what to call it)

Wojira was a dragon-oni hybrid from the first realm.Water and wind dragons have always been sort of an outcasts and stayed neutral during the conflict between dragons and oni.So when Wojira was born,both sides hated her.She left,taking nearly all the water and cool breeze with her,leaving the FIrst realm a deserted land.She created her own realm that would be known as ninjago later.It was after she left that dragons and oni realized how powerful a child of both sides could be and later,when FSM was born,they fought over him.He found ninjago and like in canon,helped merlopians and keepers in the battle of nine days(in which there might have been some realm travel involved that would explain people from Never-realm naming a canyon after Wojira).Let's go back to time before FSM arrived.In ninjago keepers and merlopians lived rather peacefully.Wojira didn't touch them and they didn't bother her,despite their fear.Wojira had two eggs,twin children that inherited her powers.A small group of merlopians and keepers that wanted to kill Wojira sneaked into her cave and took the eggs,planning to destroy them before children of the serpent could be born.Wojira killed them,but failed to retrieve her eggs.By that time twins have hatched and got seperated.One washed up to the island of the keepers and other was found by merlopians. Oni and especilly young ones have a natural instinct to blend in using their shape-shifting,so dragoni hatchlings were mistaken for merlopian and keeper children and raised there.The twin that ended up with merlopians grew up to be a master of water named Nyad, while her brother was master of wind that grew up with keepers.Both were unaware of their true nature and heritage.Wojira assumed her children were killed and went on a rampage to punish the mortals that did it.By that time Nyad and em of wind lived long enough in their homes for their dragoni aura to be suprassed by merlopians and keepers,so Wojira didn't recognize her children.During the battle of Nine days FSM managed to lock the serpent's powers into two amulets in hopes of defeating her at the cost of wind em's life.But since true power can't be taken,amulets were still with Wojira and would take great amount of power to be seperated or destroyed.The amunt of power that FSM didn't have.So Nyad merged with the sea, you know the rest.Both twin children of the serpent were gone. Elements of wind and water passed on to their children and from them to their descendants.All masters of wind and water are direct descendants of Wojira(I realized it means Morro is related to Kai and Nya).Meanwhile,other elements,specifically tame ones,didn't stay in one bloodline.Powers would get passed to some other people when an em didn't have a child,either chosen by the em themselves or the element.Which made em of wind and water more in tune with their element.For example,wind or water master can hear their element at any time if its present,but fire or earth?Only if the element calls loud enough.It also means that wind and water masters are the only ones able to merge with their elements(Lloyd may be too since he is a direct descendant as well,but that's another thing on its own).

More info for my fsm lives au!

In the first few thousand years of Ninjago's existence, the First Spinjitzu Master was relatively involved with humanity's development. Not in a 'so this is how you make a vaccine' sort of way, but they would help out when crops failed and would travel around Ninjago giving out random bits of advice, all while trying not to interfere with humanity's progress.

(He did have a brief stint as the emperor of Central Ninjago as a young adult, but that was an accident)

Fsm did slip up occasionally with the whole 'let humanity progress naturally' things though, so every now and then a random human would be 'blessed' with the knowledge of how photosynthesis works.

After all, they may of been a child when they created humans but he was also from a much more ancient and advanced realm then Ninjago, so he had much more information about how the world then humans, and even Merlopians, did at the time. I'm talking like they knew clouds were made of water, hygiene was important and prevented sickness, and that stars were made of plasma. Essentially, science was a much more developed field back in the first realm so Fsm knew stuff that a fledgling civilization wouldn't.

Sorry for getting a bit off track there. But basically all this means that some 10-20 thousand years ago (I haven't worked out a timeline yet) the average Ninjagon citizen was a bit more involved in the Fsm's life then modern day citizens.

But over the thousands of years of humanity's existence he has slowly pulled away from them and (once he was sure the humans wouldn't die out due to lack of knowledge) left them largely to their own devices. This means that much of Fsm's life has been reduced to myth and legend in the eyes of Ninjago's citizens (there are exceptions, though, like the monks at the library of Domu). However, he was still a public figure.

Granted most of the legends are essentially fact, however, some key information has been forgotten - such as Nyad, and the Very Important Fact of Fsm not being human.

What this means is when the First Spinjitzu Master suddenly drops of the map a number of decades before Lloyd is born, the humans fear the worst: that he's dead (the Serpentine know better but that's another story). Wu and Garmadon only make the rumours of their father's demise worse by telling humanity the truth; that he's most likely in the Departed Realm. Unfortunately, both brothers have inherited their father's habit of forgetting to tell people things. As a result, they accidentally forgot to mention that their father going to the Departed Realm to visit their friends (the OG elemental masters) is a relatively regular thing, and that they can leave at any time.

Soon after this announcement, the rumour that the First Spinjitzu Master is buried in a tomb filled with ancient artifacts and unimaginable treasures makes it's way through the villages and cities of Ninjago. The tomb in question is actually just a storage facility for all the magical and potentially dangerous items Fsm didn't want in the monastery when raising kids.

All in all, the average Ninjagon citizen doesn't know that the Fsm is alive and well (doesn't stop them from praying to him though). So the ninja, including Lloyd, are incredibly surprised when Fsm shows up to congratulate them on their victory some time after the overlord is defeated.

And, just to add to the potential comedy, Misako - who knew quite a bit about the First Spinjitzu Master as a result of her research and from being married to their son - didn't even know Fsm was alive until he showed up a few days after Lloyd was born to meet his grandson. She fainted.

So I was thinking about Ninjago, as one does, and what I realized is that FSM’s Family has inter-generational trauma.

So there can’t really be any certainty when the spread started since FSM’s parents grew up on different sides of a war that has been raging for centuries, but I’m going to go more in-depth into all the members of his family we know more about.

Seabound Spoilers!

We’ll start with FSM himself. FSM was raised in a war. There is pressure put on him to fight in and/or end the war. This pressure becomes to much so he flees to another realm, unfortunately this realm isn’t free of conflict. He seems to form some kind of relationship with Nyad from what we see and we know how that ends. So he’s lost probably the first friend he ever had. Then from there because of his creation powers and longevity, he is hailed as a god, which I don’t really know if that’s what he wanted, he fled his original realm because of pressure and being a god is even more pressure. He then because of the way he grew up and the status he holds puts pressure on his children. They have to be good. Unfortunately the whole great devourer thing happens only adding to the problems this family has. Now one of his sons is cursed to be bad, no matter how hard he tries he’ll never be that perfect son. FSM seems to be mad at both of his sons for this occurrence but first and foremost he’s concerned, he loves both his sons and tries to help them but he can’t fix this.

Then we have the next generation which is Wu and Garmadon. Garmadon tries to be there for his son and tries to be a good father but then he’s sent to the underworld and when he comes back their destined to fight so well he cares he can’t actually be there for Lloyd. Then he’s actually a pretty good dad once his evil has been cured. But actually where we see the generational trauma more present is in Wu. Wu who used to be the mischievous of the brothers now feels the need to be the good one because his brother can’t be. He feels the need to undo the damage he is partially at fault for. So he studies the ninja ways and the scrolls harder. Then he finds his student Morro who he trains to be the green ninja.

Which brings us to the last generation Morro and Lloyd. Morro was raised by Wu. Wu placed high expectations on Morro because Wu had high expectations placed on him. Morro trains and trains under Wu and is told that he could be the green ninja. But he isn’t, Wu was wrong. But Morro can’t accept this because that’s what his purpose was, he was supposed to be great. So he tries to force destiny and dies and you all know the rest of the story. Then Lloyd has the opposite problem where he never wanted to be the green ninja but it’s forced upon him. So he has to train and he has to fight his dad. Once again there is so much pressure put on a literal child. Lloyd also has to then deal with much more trauma than just the inter generational kind. I mean all the battles and all his friends dying oof.

Also in case it wasn’t clear this is not a hate post towards FSM or Wu. While some of they’re actions may not be the best, they’re people and people are flawed. I genuinely believe that both of them were trying to do what they thought was best, but their experience may have skewed their decision making a bit.

I think the main thing I've noticed while writing fanfiction involving Bentho is his speech patterns.

What do I mean by this?

From what I remember he almost never uses contractions (for example, he uses "cannot" instead of "can't"). The only exception I can think of off the top of my head is during times where he's vulnerable; notably, when Nya asks about Trimaar, he says "He is ... he's ...."

It's such a small character trait but it also says a lot about Bentho as a character. He still has the mentality of a kid, but I feel like in a similar vein to other kids of royalty in the series (Vania and Harumi) because of his status as a prince he had to grow up fast, especially when he realized he had to stop his brother.

I will say that Kai, Cole, and Lloyd are also incredibly similar to Vania, Bentho, and Harumi in the sense that all three of them had to grow up too fast for reasons outside of their control, and some of their behavior, despite them being adults by the end of the series, comes off as childish because of it.

Bentho usually shows himself as proper in a similar manner that Zane originally was, and doesn't usually allow himself to be vulnerable -- he very quickly regains his composure after Nya asks him about Trimaar. In his vulnerable states, he's usually incredibly quiet about it, as seen when he's standing against the wall, angry at probably both Kalmaar and himself in Nyad. All of this does make sense to me. Throughout the series and even throughout real history, royal children have been encouraged to not show emotion, because it could be read as a sign of weakness. This is seen in Harumi in Ninjago and England's Royal Family in real life (say what you want about the royals, but dear god if my heart didn't fucking break for Charles seeing him try not to cry. Finding something a governing power did absolutely abhorrent doesn't suddenly negate empathy; Charles was likely raised to not show emotion in public and in my brutally honest opinion it is fucked up).

Anyway yeah, I seriously feel like people underestimate how much speech patterns can tell you about a character. Bentho's speech patterns give off a proper and polite vibe, and it adds depth to him imo.

Kai + Nya

Twin boys were born, Ray and Ronin Smith, and parted separate ways once old enough: Ronin went to the city, while Ray stayed in the villages

Ray met his lover, Maya Jiang, in the villages. They didn't have time to marry, before they had twins. A boy and a girl, Kailor and Nyad.

Ronin found a lover in the city before Ray, marrying into the name Kognito when finding his now wife, Marenia Kognito. They had a daughter 3 years before Ray and Maya, Willow Kognito.

Ray and Maya eventually disappeared, leaving Kailor and Nyad Jiang around the time Ronin second child was born, Lilith Kognito.

After 2 years later, Ronin finds a post on both Kailor and Nyad online and rushes to take them into his care. Upon getting the two, he explains a bit of who their father was, and how the last name they dawned was not their father's last name.

Kailor, the master of fire below Ray, aka Kai, wasn't a fan of just using Jiang, and wanted to go by Smith

Nyad, the master of water below Maya, aka Nya, liked the last name Jiang and didn't wnat to change it, but also wanted to match her brother.

Ronin offered a solution: hyphen. Thus developed Smith-Jiang.

When Nya and Kai turned 12 years old, they got Marenia in on the plan to do something with their last names again. Their birthday party, they showed Ronin their names, now donning: Smith-Jiang-Kognito.

What do u think of FSM in the series?

No one really talks about him so im kinda curious on what you think!

I think he's really interesting, and I'd love to know more about him. Until Bentho mentioned it in Seabound, I completely forgot that he was still a kid when he left the First Realm. And it's interesting that they still knew enough about him there after all this time to hope (or, for Faith to hope, at least) he may come back someday.

I don't agree with the idea that he was an awful person. I just can't. He was a kid who fled his home realm because both sides of a neverending war wanted to use him for their own benefit (Oni AND dragon, do not forget that the dragons, aside from Firstbourne, didn't seem to want to end it either). When he gets to what is now Ninjago and finds people being terrorised by Wojira, he's there, helping them take her down.

I like to believe he and Nyad were close. She saved him from Wojira one day while he was trying to fish or something and then just kinda,,, adopted him. He was devastated when she merged with the sea.

I get the vibe that he kinda just wanted to be a regular guy, or to at least be seen as one to the people of Ninjago. I mean, he just lived in a small house with his two sons, and then later the monastery. They don't appear to have lived in luxury, or had like, servants or anything. Wu said something about monks in the monastery, but we don't know when that was, and again - only saw the FSM and his sons (granted, it's been a LONG time since we saw a flashback with them at the monastery).

I also believe that he loved both his sons very much, and tried his best to be a good father for them. It's clear they spent time together, and they felt comfortable enough to come in and talk to him while he was busy. I also appreciate how he didn't get angry at them for fighting in that one flashback in Hunted, when they were fishing. Or at Garmadon for eating all the worms XD Instead of being mad at them, he spoke calmly, and even laughed. ...Maybe my standards for good parents are low, but,,,,,,, also he WAS trying to find a way to help Garmadon with the venom, even if Garm refused to believe at first that anything was wrong. ALSO it seems like the boys didn't get in too much trouble after the Aspheera thing - Wu was more upset about disappointing his father than anything else. IDK about you, but.... I would have had a lot more to worry about from my parents for something like that 😅

Another thing to make me believe he was a good person, or at least tried to be, is Mystaké's trust in him, her continuing to look after Ninjago long after he's gone. And also the whole 'Firstbourne let him ride her because she sensed the good in his heart and they soared through the air with the respect they had for each other'.

Now, of course, he wasn't all good, though I do believe he had good intentions. It's clear his sons, especially Wu, have a lot of pressure on them. But it feels kinda like an Alma from Encanto situation, y'know?

......sorry, that got really long 😅 I just... have a lot of thoughts on the FSM and the backstory I've given him, and what we've seen in the show and Spinjitzu Brothers books.

I thought about something in Ninjago and it led to an entire new arc for first elemental masters

So Wind and Water were the only elements that FSM had no control over, and the first EM of water is now the entire ocean. So how did water and wind find their way into the elemental masters ring considering everything?

Well

The storm amulet is purple and the wave amulet is blue, and they each have essences of wind and water

Currently water is blue, grey and magenta (s5-s7 Nya had magenta), and wind is green and white (adding both Morro and new EM of wind)

Then you have lightning, which is blue but is theorized to have used to be purple because of the color of storm amulet and the keepers.

What do blue, purple, and green all have in common? They’re cool colors.

And what do you get when you combine water, wind, and lightning? A thunderstorm

And adding in the lil animal symbols the main 4 elements have and add in a lil creative story telling spin:

What animal usually represents wind? A bird. What animal usually represents water? A fish. What animal canonically represents lightning in Ninjago? An octopus. And we also have Wojira who at the time was put into a deep slumber. And she (from info I’ve gathered from ninjago fandomwiki) is a storm spirit. What if there were other spirits at the time? Introducing:

The spirit of wind and the spirit of water, by-products of Wojira. And of course, the spirit of lightning, another by-product of wojira. The wind spirit and water spirit used to fight until their younger brother, lightning spirit, calmed them down by doing a dance. It kept them calm and quiet their fighting. The only problem? The lightning spirit had to continue dancing for his sisters or they will go back to fighting.

So the lightning spirit would forever dance so his sisters would not fight and possibly cause destruction to the lands of non-spirits.

UNTIL

Lightning Spirit gets kidnapped by a cult who wants to reawaken Wojira. The two sisters started to get restless, not noticing their brother has been kidnapped, and they start to fight again.

And you’d think: “Mask you have been talking about spirits and very high reach about lightning, wind, and water connection with thunderstorms and colors, how the fuck does this explain how water and wind got new elemental masters?”

Well

Introducing

Yoshimochi, first master of lightning and a die-hard animal lover

He finds the lightning spirit escaping the cult, and Yoshimochi just goes: “aww lil baby! Cute lighting lil baby!”

He and the rest of the elemental masters find out about the cult and lightning spirit’s kidnapping. Then they found out the wind and water spirit are fighting rn and it could destroy Ninjago like Wojira almost did. So the group delivers lightning spirit to his sisters with the help of Nyad (who wanted to help the funny people and keep the ocean at peace). But oop, lightning spirit got badly wounded just as he was about to do the dance that calms them down.

Yoshimochi, being the only other lightning user, decided to take lightning spirit’s place. So Yoshimochi did the dance, and he ends up pulling the two sisters towards him which causes him to be possessed by both of them

And here’s the thing, possession can change a spirit. The two sisters saw and felt everything while possessing Yoshimochi. They felt his emotions, his pain, his desires and wishes, and they saw all of his memories. They experienced raw human emotions and it gave them a new perspective. And so they left Yoshimochi’s body and ran straight to the lightning spirit to comfort him. The sisters thank Yoshimochi and promise to not be a bother to the non-spirits and offer help whenever needed. And as a thank you gift, Nyad gave Yoshimochi the element of water and the element of wind with permission from the wind spirit and water spirit.

And what do you know, Yoshimochi has twin nephews. And after getting a destiny check to make sure who he should give the elements to, the element of wind and water are passes down to the twins. Thus beginning the line of masters of wind and masters of water.

Does this make sense? Who knows, but I’m sticking with it and this arc is a lot more dramatic then what I typed here

What if the place of Nya, the sea became Kai?

I decided to write a story about it , so enjoy reading it

CHAPTER 1. Fatal decision

-«Bento Can you tell me how Nyad defeated Wojira ?- Do you remember you told me»

This caught Kai 's attention . Near the window , Nya was talking to Bento . Not noticeably for the two, Kai began to listen to their conversation

-«She merged with the sea» . - without looking at her , Bento replied

- «But how exactly». -Nya persisted in asking

- «She absorbed all the power of the ocean. She merged with him.»

Nya looked towards the window where the fish were currently swimming

Although Kai couldn't see her face, he could understand what she was up to. And he doesn't like it.  Bento also noticed it

"Don't even think about it. Although Nyad defeated Wojira, she eventually died. It was a one - way ticket . She disappeared»

Nya turned away from him. She started replaying in her head what her Bento had said. If she wants to save everyone, she will have to do it.

«Nya.» - Kai's voice brought her out of her thoughts.

Looking at her brother, she saw that his eyes reflected concern. He stared at her intently, as if he already knew what she was up to.

«Nya.» - Kai's voice rang out again.- «I heard your conversation with Bento»

- «I have to do this.» - that 's all she could say

-"But you can't do that.- It's certain death2

- «And what do you suggest, not what not to do! Wait for Kalmaar to find us and kill us» .

- «Of course not! But there must be another way»

- «This is the only way out!» - covering her face with her hands, Nya spoke softly. "It's the only way to save him».

She knew that if she merged with the sea, she would not be the same. That she won't see the guys, her parents, Jay, Kai anymore...  Why fate is always so unfair. She just wants to....

Warmth, Something warm enveloped her. Nya didn't need to open her eyes to figure out who it was. When she was feeling bad or sad, Kai always hugged her (just like now.) .

- «We will definitely save Jay» - finally his brother's soft voice sounded.- «And not only him, but the whole city.»

Pulling away from the embrace, Kai put his hand on his sister's shoulder

- «And now let's rest. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day for us»

After these words, Nya only now realized how tired she was after the battle with Kalmaar. So, without any objections, she went to the sofa where Jay was lying. As she got closer to him , she heard his hoarse breathing . His fair skin has become paler, and a grimace of suffering is reflected on his usually cheerful face

This kind of beloved hurt Nya. Taking his hand, she said softly:

- «Don't worry, I'll fix it. Just be patient a little bit more»

The sun began to rise over ninjago. And in one building, everyone was sleeping, except for the fire ninja. Kai looked out the window at the city where people used to walk, cars drove, but now it is flooded and from now on only marine life can live here.

The mere thought of water sent goosebumps through Kai's body. He was always afraid of water after an incident in childhood, but no matter how it scared him, the water also attracted Him.

Maybe because he was the son of a water master.

Standing up , Kai looked around the room

Cole was sleeping on the table as if there was nothing and he still wondered why Chen had provided him with a bed made of stone. Not far from him was Lloyd , who even in his sleep did not take the seriousness off his face .  Zane was lying on the floor, who refused to sleep anywhere else except the floor, citing the fact that he was not comfortable. There was a Pixel on the billiard table.

Wu took the lotus position, Kai always wondered how he could sleep in this position.

The furthest from that was Bento

Kai looked in the direction where Nya was lying.  She was fast asleep, holding Jay's hand as if afraid that he might disappear. Jay's face showed how he was experiencing incredible torment.

Kai won't let him die, won't let Nya sacrifice herself. They should all live.

Kai knew what he had to do, but Nya wouldn't like it, and neither would the rest.

And now he was standing on the roof, and the waves were rippling below. They were so free, doing whatever they wanted.

Kai looked at the door for the last time, he wants to say so much to his family, but only one thought comes to mind.

- «I love you guys».

Turning away, Kai jumped into the water without hesitation

It was cold, but strangely enough, a sense of security came over him. It was so nice. Kai hadn't felt that for a long time.

He began to absorb the power of the water, and it was a completely different feeling when he himself allows the water to penetrate into himself, and not vice versa.

Meanwhile , in the building with Jay , water began to come out of the lungs .

- «Jay.»-Nya exclaimed in shock, waking everyone up with her scream.

- «What's going on with him?» - Lloyd looked at his comrade with concern.

-«The water is coming out of his lungs,»- Zane replied incredulously, as if he didn't believe what was happening right now.

-«Nya, you did it.»- Cole looked at his friend, puzzled.

- «It's not me», - Nya could not understand only she could control the water, only if...

- «Wait, is it Kai?» - - Lloyd pointed to the window where the vortex in which the fire ninja was located was visible

- «No.»-  Bento immediately shouted

Oh, no. She should have realized that Kai would do something. And now she's paying for it.

-«What is he doing?»-  Wu asked without taking his eyes off Kai

-«He is trying to merge with the sea, but only this is a one–way ticket» - Bento looked sadly at Nya. – «We will lose him forever.»

No, she won't let that happen.

-«We need to stop him as soon as possible before it's too late,»- after saying that, Wu quickly headed for the door, followed by the others, except for Nya and Jay

As soon as the door slammed shut, the whirlwind stopped, and Kai appeared, or rather, what was left of him. Nya gasped at what she saw. His physical body changed and became more like water. While Kai was looking at his new uniform, Nya managed to go to the window, putting her palm to the glass.

Noticing his sister, Kai swam up to her. He also placed his palm against the glass opposite her palm. Before Nya could say anything, the smile disappeared from her brother's face and was replaced by a serious expression. Turning away from her, Kai quickly swam away, which threw New back.

«Kai!» - she exclaimed desperately and, wasting no time, headed for the roof.

By the time Wu and the others got through, it was too late

-«Kai, Come back»- Wu desperately shouting to the departing student

- «It's too late. He has already merged with the sea,»- Bento said softly

«He went after Kalmaar.»- Everyone turned to Ny, who was standing near the door- «Kai intends to finish him off.»

-«And I'm going to help him,»- Jay's voice was heard behind her

- «Jay, how are you feeling?» - from all this situation, she forgot about him.

- «It couldn't be better.» - he tried to smile, but instead he was pierced by a sharp cough.

-«You 're barely standing on your feet» -,  Wu said worriedly

- «I don't care, I've already decided everything.» - Jay looked at everyone piercingly. His determination was written all over his face

-« Well, then what are we waiting for.» - Nya putting her hand on her boyfriend 's shoulder .- «It's not just Kayu who's having fun.»

- «OK.» - Wu smiled at them both –« Then we are with you.»

Ninjago lore is so convoluted and stupid. Like i can explain almost all of it from season 1 to season 15 easily but that would take hours because there is so much before ninjago content and so many things tying into things qnd more things. This show is its own circle of hell and im trapped in it cus brain when "hur durh ninja when spin he ha he"

Like how do i explain that garmadon was bit by a snake that was gonna make him pure evil and cus of that he cucked his brother and married his crush and whike that was happing his brother,wu, adopted a kid and that kid died cus he wanted to be special.

then they team up to fight snakes cus snake people are here now fighting i think to prevent the overload prophecy but it might have just been cus the humans where racist idr. They fight against garmadons old teacher who is evil btw. They are losing really badly but while doing a sad walk through a village they see a snake charamer and realize that they can hypnotize the snakes with the flutes so they do that and banshin 5 strong snake guys to death and also garmadons teacher to like an island or something, but oh no these guys that where fighting with them turn out to be evil and want to take over the world so they like punch them or something and seal their elements into these weird blade thing, oh yeah did i mention there are elemental masters, anyways.

Peace returns till garmadon becomes fully evil and plans to take over using these golden wepons of mass destruction (that are honestly kinda useless but eh) but wu has to stop him so they fight two golden weapons on two golden weapon and garmadon win and tries to kill wu but wu is wearing a gi that has a binding or some shit that says "no you" and strikes garmadon down into the underworld and from there he like beats up some skeletons and becomes their king or something. Wu thinking the weapons are to dangerous goes out to give them to fucking dragons cus they exist to and makes a map and gives it to a fire dude i dont remember the name of. Then said fire dude gets kidnapped by said evil that got their powers stealed by the blades leaving the new fire dude and his sister parentless and the map that they dont know of with them

AND THATS BEFORE THE SHOWS EPILOGUE EPISODE. THATS NOT EVEN INCLUDING ALL THE STUPID ASPHERA SHIT OR THE SPLITTING OF NINJAGO AND THW STONE ARMY OR THE FUCKING WINDERA SNAKE OF WIND AND STORMS OR THE NADAKHAN LOREOR THE NYAD AND THE TRIBES SHIT OR REALM CRYSTALS. THATS JUST THE THINGS WE GET TOLD AND SEE MONTAGES AND FLASHBACKS FROM.

I think ninjago is just a big fever dream tbh

Here we are! What a journey, and while perhaps this season wasn't at MoM level it was REALLY good, with great new villains/allies, great little throwbacks and an awesome story! 🤩

This title really summarize my feelings so far, like, I'm seriously wondering how it will move on from now, but I do expect the outcome to be CRAZY 🤯

Wojira seems to be a little smaller than the Devourer maybe? His head way bigger than the bounty, while hers is not that massive even in comparison with Kalmaar

I'm speechless... like that's true, have A LOT to write over here 😅

This type of plot twist reminds me of our early seasons. Zane sacrificing himself, Garmadon giving up his life, those moments that made me so curious and excited about the following. I have no idea what will be the outcome for this, but I can't wait to find out

With that out of the way, AMAZING SEASON 😍😍😍 I think this finale beats MoM's, just because it was really unexpected and opens up a SEA of possibilities... yeah too soon 😭

I'm still shaken, my world, they did something HUGE and I do hope it will be a good shake to the entire Ninjago plotline. Nya is "gone", we still don't know about the person behind all that vengestone, we haven't heard from Garmy in forever, there are so many good ideas out there now that they've set the ground for more 🤩🤩

Voice acting was *chef's kiss*, not only for the villain which I already stressed enough about, I think Kelly reached a new level of emotional intimacy with Nya and I'm so happy she showed her skills 💜💜

Animation is TOP, there's little to no point into saying anything else since they showed it very clearly in the latest season ☺

This was the emotional, witty and engaging writing I was looking for! Good jokes, meaningful dialogues, emotional scenes, everything was really good and I'm gonna rewatch some scenes especially for that 😍

It turned out having Maya and Ray back was kind of a distraction to fool us all 😅😅 Well played actually, and it was very cool seeing them again in any case 🙋‍♀️

And now? Jay lost his love, I have no idea if the show will work on him getting over her or hold onto her memory (thinking of Jay probably the latter, although I do think that handling the first would be an interesting idea). KAI LOST HIS SISTER 😢😢😢 I have no doubt he's gonna beat himself up for it, like he did when Zane was gone too. Everyone lost their friend, she had become such a vital part of the team and now she is not here anymore it will be hard...

They are back with the four plus one green savior formation, I sincerely don't know how I feel about that 😅 I'm always happy when we get the OGs, but this is about going on without Nya... maybe Skylor will be called? Or Pixal will be more active? That could be interesting to see, who knows 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Gosh, how are they going to handle the next season? It will have to give A LOT of answers to the millions questions we all have right now. Man I can't wait, it could be anything!!! This is a Ninjago revolution!

But if I have to mention a little complain, and I'm a fangirl so I absolutely have to, Kai didn't show much of a reaction to Nya's "departure". Okay, she didn't straight up die like in Skybound (I'm gonna fear all BOUND seasons from now on 😱), but he's her brother and he loves deeply his family. Either we're gonna see him go all out next season, or the writers really did only focus on Jaya. A tiny bit salty... but you got me a fantastic finale so I'll move on 👍

Outstanding, I'm blown away. Whenever I think I'm used to this show they do stuff like this. I'm so glad and sad you guys 😅 But mostly happy that despite everything I still get very strong emotions while I watch this long time favorite show of mine 💜💜💜

Season 15 Thoughts

Okay, I'm going to give a disclaimer here for everyone who hasn't seen Season 15 yet.

I loved it. This, to me, is everything that Skybound should have been!

The angst of Jay's anger towards Kalmaar; the pain everyone felt at the end...even the way Kai didn't seem to accept that Nya's really gone despite the obvious.. And to be honest, I don't think that she is really gone.

Yes, she's become one with the sea, and she's losing herself to it's vast expanse. But, (I'm saying this very broadly) she's also the current Elemental Master of Water; heir to her mother, Maya...and that's the key!

Maya is the former Master of Water, which means that the title might just default back to her, now that Nya's gone.

I have a feeling that something's going to happen in the coming seasons regarding them. Remember the message that Nya had Jay pass on to her mother: That's the way the cookie crumbles.

If I were writing the next few seasons, I would do an arc similar to the ninja searching for Wu back in season 8, except this time, they're searching for a way to speak with Nyad. And since Kai's her brother, and another potential heir to Water, he might be the key to finding her!

But, that's just my two cents...

Fortunately, they did not end up sitting on the thrones for very long. There were a few more ceremonial things, once they were seated, and they listened to the merpeople sing some more, and then the party began and Lucy could get up to dance.

And oh, what dancing! Not the formal cheek-to-cheek style that Mummy and Father danced to, sometimes, or that they were taught at school. (Lucy supposed it was because you had to have hands and walk on two legs to do that sort of dancing, and most of their new subjects went on four legs, with hooves or paws, instead.)

There was dancing inside the throne room, to music sung by a bird choir up in the rafters, their calls echoing throughout the stone room, the merpeople outside answering in harmonies. To this sort of music, the appropriate sort of dancing involved a lot of hopping about and flapping one's arms as if they were wings. Lucy thought it was absolutely divine, and threw herself into it with wild abandon.

"Your majesty is quite an accomplished dancer!" said a passing crow.

"Thank you, Mister Crow," Lucy said, curtseying prettily.

"It's Mssss Crow, actually," said the bird, fluffing its feathers and bopping its head in time with the song, which Lucy promptly copied.

"Oh! I do beg your pardon," Lucy said.

"Quite all right," Ms. Crow said, "you humans have such dreadfully terrible eyesight, I know your majesty is doing her best. Speaking of doing your best, how is it that your majesty has such grace and flair on the dance floor, but your majesty's siblings …?"

Lucy followed Ms. Crow's glance, and laughed at Peter, Susan, and Edmund awkwardly trying to copy those around them. Susan, in particular, looked especially ridiculous, and Lucy thought she might be trying to do a sort of a solo foxtrot, which was just silly, because the rhythm wasn't right and you couldn't do a foxtrot without a partner anyway. "Oh, they're all much better than I at human dances," Lucy said, "but I don’t think they've ever tried bird dances, before."

"I suppose the dances are much different in Spare Oom," Ms. Crow said. "I would give them some pointers—I have instructed many hatchlings in the art of dance—but I am not quite sure what to do with arms instead of wings."

"Perhaps Mr. Tumnus could help?" Lucy said. "Or a naiad or dryad? They've got arms."

"Possibly," Ms. Crow said. "But not tonight, they're all at the other dances.

"Other dances?" Lucy asked.

"Oh, yes, of course," Ms. Crow said. "You couldn't fit all of us dancing in here at once, could you? The Great Hall, here, may be the largest room in all of Narnia, but when you get centaurs and bears and things dancing, it gets very small very quickly. Not to mention, we all have our own styles of music and dance, and it wouldn’t be fair to only have one at an official event, would it? No, there are four outside, and at each event, we shall rotate who has the honor of hosting the main dance inside. It was the Hominids—fauns, dryads, nyads, and centaurs—who hosted the last ball at Cair Paravel before the White Witch came, so it is the Birds' turn now."

"Oh!" said Lucy. "I had wondered where Mr. Tumnus had gotten to. Should I go outside and see the other parties, too?"

"Probably," said Ms. Crow. "The bulk of your majesty's time should be at the party inside, of course, but if none of you made any appearance at the outer parties, there would be some very hurt feelings."

"But how can we know that if no one tells us?" Lucy asked, crossly. It was very unfair of people to always assume that the right thing to do was obvious, and she had hoped that Narnia would be superior to England in that respect at least. Mr. Tumnus and the beavers had been so helpful and clear in explaining things.

"I apologize, I hadn't realized that you wouldn't know," Ms. Crow said. "I supposed I assumed that the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve chosen by Aslan himself would just sort of … know everything they needed to know already. But if Spare Oom is a different sort of place than Narnia—"

"Oh, it's a very different place," Lucy said, thinking of London's grimy dinginess and German planes overhead and only dumb beasts who didn't talk.

"Then we shall have to explain things to you."

"Yes, please!" said Lucy eagerly. "Could you tell my brothers and sisters about the parties outside, please? I should like to go see them for myself, now."

"Of course, your majesty," said Ms. Crow with a bow.

Outside the front gates was a party for the medium-to-large animals. Cats and dogs, mostly; and Lucy giggled to see how they danced near each other but not really together. But there were foxes also, and wolves, and bears and badgers and other animals she did not recognize The moves were very fun, Lucy thought; lots of leaping and twisting and wrestling and Lucy got down on her hands and knees for some of it because they looked silly done on only two feet.

There was food, but none Lucy could eat; the party inside had had fruit and seeds and nuts, but here there was only raw meat.

It was only that the music was so very strange. The beat was fast, faster than any other music Lucy had heard before, and the pitch kept keening up and down and not in time with the beat at all, yowls and howls and all sorts of things instead of proper singing. There were words to it, but Lucy had to concentrate hard to understand them. It made her ears itch so that she wished she had earplugs to block it out. She thought about asking for some, but that would probably be rude, so instead she left to find the next party.

The party around the corner from the cats and dogs was all horses and other creatures with hooves: goats, deer, unicorns, elk, reindeer, and even a few centaurs. The music was better—or, thought Lucy, not better exactly, but more to a human's taste—slower and lower and with a real melody that fit the beat.

The dance moves … well, there were still leaps, but also a lot of rearing up, which just didn't look the same when a human tried, even if you started on hands-and-knees. And quite a lot of head-butting and locking horns, too, which Lucy simply couldn't do.

"Your majesty, welcome to our dance!" said a passing sheep, bowing to her. "We are honored by your presence! Would you care for some refreshment? There's some rather nice red clover hay which someone was saving for a special occasion; I've never had it before, because of course we couldn't grow any during the witch's tenure and it was too expensive to import, but of it is so delicious! I can't recommend it highly enough!"

"Thank you very kindly for the offer, Mister Sheep," Lucy said with a curtsey. "I must decline, for humans can't eat grass or hay of any kind."

"Really?" the sheep said, bleating in surprise. "I had just assumed you were like centaurs, who as you can see, are quite fond of hay." He nodded to a centaur chewing on a few stalks of hay with evident enjoyment. "Ah, well, perhaps you shall find things more to your liking in the hominid party—if you haven't been, they should be on the other side of the castle from us. Predators clockwise, small animals anti-clockwise, hominids directly across."

"Thank you," said Lucy, who was getting quite hungry from all the dancing. "I shall go see what they have. Enjoy your party!"

Having already seen the predator party—and that was what all those animals had in common, they ate other animals! Lucy supposed that it would be hard to relax and have fun with things capable of eating you, even if you knew they would never eat a fellow Talking Beast. But since she'd already seen that party, Lucy decided to go anti-clockwise and see what things were like at the small animal party.

There was food there that she could eat! Nuts and berries and fruits and things, in addition to the grasses, and even some vegetables; which made sense, as there were squirrels and hedgehogs and badgers and mice and rats and moles and all kinds of animals. And there were Mr. and Mrs. Beaver!

"Hello, dear friends!" Lucy rushed over to greet them. "I wondered where you were!"

She smiled as widely as she could, because she did love them so, but it was hard because her ears felt like the music was stabbing them. It was very fast, and very high—so high she couldn't quite always hear it, and it faded in and out.

"Oh, we came out here directly after the mermaids were done singing," Mr. Beaver said.

"Not often one gets to hear mermaids," Mrs. Beaver said, "and of course they can't come to the parties on land, so it is only polite to listen to the contribution they can make. But of course the smaller mammals make the best party."

"Such lovely food as I have not eaten in years, my dear Lucy, you must try some!" Mr. Beaver said. "Everyone's brought something."

"Isn't it amazing what we all had in the back of our pantries?" Mrs. Beaver said. "Though of course, with Aslan's blessing, it multiplied."

"Really?" Lucy said. "I shall have to try some. I just came from the horse's party, and of course they offered me food, but I couldn't eat it. But this does look lovely." That was true, although the music was so distracting that it was hard to think of anything else.

Lucy took the plate of food that was handed to her, and ate it, and talked with the Beavers, and by then some of the other animals she had seen or tended in the battle were coming by, and after that some of the ones she didn't know came around to be introduced, and she couldn't figure out how to excuse herself politely, and the music seemed to get louder and louder and she couldn't think over it.

"Lucy—excuse me, Queen Lucy, are you quite all right?" Mr. Beaver said.

"Oh! I am a little worn," Lucy said. "And also, I've been here quite a long time, perhaps I should go see what the hominids party is like? It's the only one I haven't been to yet."

"I'm sure I don't know how to read human faces, but you were tired yesterday, and didn't look quite like you do now," Mr. Beaver said. "Perhaps Mrs. Beaver and I should go with you?"

"Thank you, I would like that," said Lucy, who was by this point almost wild with the idea of getting away from the squealing, but who had had manners drilled into her all her life. Surely, surely it would be better there.

But it wasn't. It was so loud. Lucy thought she might rather have liked the hominid party, under other circumstances. The music was neither too high nor too low, nor too fast for her to dance to, with melodies that (while strange) sounded at least somewhat like what she would have called music, in England.

But oh, it was so loud! Drums and brass, which together felt like they were beating on her body until her heart was pounding in time with the music and she thought her skin might burst open. She wanted to run away, but she could not. She was a queen, now, and if an ordinary little girl from London needed to be polite no matter what, how much more should a queen be polite? Mummy would be so disappointed in her if she did not act like a lady, and probably Aslan as well, and so she smiled as brightly as she could even though she wanted nothing more than to run away and hide somewhere, and clung tightly to Mr. Beaver's hand.

Lucy let him take her around and introduce her, and get her food, but she couldn't quite understand everything that was going on around her, because she had to concentrate so very hard on smiling and not running away and trying to ignore the sound beating on her body.

And all the people dancing around her—earlier, Lucy had loved joining in, but now the heaving crowds around her made her vaguely seasick.

"Lucy, dear one, are you quite sure you are all right?" Mrs. Beaver whispered to her. "Only, you look very strange indeed. Would you like to go lie down?"

"Yes, please," Lucy said, and then suddenly she could think of nothing except being away from the noise and movement. She let go of Mr. Beaver's hand and began to run, not towards the castle (for there was, after all, as much noise inside it as there was here outside) but towards the forest, where at least the trees would soak up some of it.

She ran until she was within the trees, and there (as it was beginning to grow dark, and the evening was of course darker under the treetops than in the cleared space around the castle) she soon tripped over a root, landing face-first in a bush.

"Oh! I'm terribly sorry, your majesty," came a voice from above. Lucy looked up to see a dryad leaning over her. "I didn't mean to trip you! Are you all right?"

Lucy burst into tears.

It was stupid, and she knew it was stupid. She'd been having such fun, and then she wasn't, and she had loved meeting the dryads and all the other Narnians, but oh, how she longed to be alone in a quiet dark place.

Mummy would be terribly disappointed in her, blubbering like a baby when there was no reason for it at all, at all—she was eight years old, after all, and practically grown-up! But shame, of course, does not help in such situations at all, and in fact only makes things worse, and Lucy could not make herself stop crying. It felt, as it sometimes did, as if her body did not belong to her and she were merely a passenger watching what her body did.

The dryad kept asking Lucy questions which she could not stop crying to answer, and then there were others around also asking questions, and Lucy flushed and buried her head under her arms.

"Here now, what's all this!" came the welcome voice of Mr. Beaver, slightly out of breath. "What's all this? If she doesn't want to talk, she doesn't have to! Clear out now, back to the party. Give her some room, and don't gossip about it!"

"But what's wrong with her?" someone asked.

"Wrong with her?" Mrs. Beaver said loudly. "There's nothing wrong with her, she's perfectly fine! What she is, is a kitten who has had a very exciting and very long several days, and now needs rest and quiet. Isn't that right, your Majesty?"

Lucy couldn't make herself look up, but she did nod her head.

"There now, you see?" Mrs. Beaver said, petting Lucy's head, which felt very nice indeed. "Why are you all still standing around? Someone go and fetch her Majesty's brothers and sisters, and the rest of you can all go back to the party and stop staring as if you've never seen a worn-out young one. Don't give me that look, Neerihayhayth, you may not have had a foal before, but your herd certainly has. I'm sure her majesty thanks you for your wish to help, but there's nothing you can do besides giving her space to rest, so you may as well go back to the party."

"And there's no need to be spreading tales about an over-tired kitten, either," Mr. Beaver said. "There's food and drink and music and dancing and many other good things back at the castle, blessed by Aslan himself, you should all go and enjoy them."

It felt like it took forever, but at last the noise of other people subsided. Lucy was still crying, of course, but now it felt like she could stop, soon, and not like it would go on forever and ever. Mrs. Beaver kept petting her; she wasn't quite like Mummy, but she also didn't have that impatient edge Mummy sometimes got when she thought Lucy was making a scene when she shouldn't.

For one long minute, Lucy wished she were back home in England with Mummy. Narnia was so much nicer, especially now that the Witch was gone, but England was familiar, and safe. But no, even if she were in England, she wouldn't have Mummy, wouldn't be at home in her own bedroom that she shared with Susan, but rather in the funny old country house owned by the Professor. And Narnia was much nicer than either, even if Mummy wasn't here.

"Oh, Lucy, don't tell me you had one of your crying turns again," Peter said, and Lucy felt more tears well up in her despite the fact that she had thought she was finished. She felt very raw just now, as she always did after one of her turns, and the thought of her brother's impatience was more than she could bear.

"I do hope she hasn't been a bother," Susan said.

"Oh, no, dear, no bother at all," said Mrs. Beaver.

"Why, it's almost like when our own kits were small," said Mr. Beaver, "only they were, of course, rather smaller than her Majesty in size when they were the same relative age."

"What she needs now is rest and quiet," Mrs. Beaver said. "Can we take her to her room and put her to bed?"

"I don't know that will help," Edmund said thoughtfully. "Our rooms are up in the towers above, and the view is spectacular but I'd wager you hear all the music from all the parties, up there. And she gets so funny about noise when she's like this."

"What she needs is a good burrow," Mr. Beaver said. "There's nothing like good, solid earth around you to dampen noise and vibration. If our dam were closer, I'd suggest taking her there. But surely there are cellars of some sort in the castle we could put a bed in, or something?"

"Wouldn't it be awfully cold and damp?" Susan said.

Mrs. Beaver snorted. "Not once Mr. Beaver and I are through with it," she said. "All the burrowing Beasts know how to make underground dens snug and cozy."

"I don't want to take you away from the fun," Lucy said, somewhat miserable at the thought of her dear friends missing out because Lucy was too sensitive for a perfectly nice party.

"Not at all, young one, not at all," Mr. Beaver said stoutly. "Mrs. Beaver and I are not so very young, you see, and parties that go until dawn—as all of these will, no doubt—are for the young."

"And besides, the castle was under Aslan's protection, that's why it hasn't fallen to ruin," Mrs. Beaver said. "I've no doubt the cellars are in excellent shape, and will be quite easy to fix up to be a proper den for your Majesty. Don't you worry about a thing. It will all be fine, and quickly done."

And so it turned out to be. A low fire chased away the dampness of the cellar, and a nest of blankets made quite a wonderful bed, and the next morning Lucy woke up feeling much better and more like herself.

And, over the next weeks and months, as the young Pevensies got to know their adopted land and subjects better, Lucy learned the benefits of living in a land with such a wide variety of creatures. As every type of beast had a different range of hearing and sight and smell and so on from all the rest, it was normal for people to have different needs than others around them. Whenever a sound was too loud or too piercing, or a smell too strong, all Lucy needed to do was say, and everyone understood.

Love Has No Labels Promotes Diversity to Gamers

America’s Ad Council has seen its Love Has No Labels diversity and inclusion campaign win a slew of awards since it launched in 2015. But it’s still seeking ways to refresh the iconic effort and engage new audiences.

The American advertising industry’s public service arm is rising to the occasion with “The League of Extraordinary Humans,” a mobile geo-location game with a diverse team of heroes fighting for love and inclusion.

Debuting at PAX West (Sept. 1-4 in Seattle), one of the largest consumer gaming events in the US, the non-profit organization’s campaign will be promoted at a booth in the PAX Diversity Lounge and participate in panels on implicit bias and the role of diversity in gaming, part of its broader Game for Good cause marketing program geared to gamers.

“To really have an impact on social issues, we need to meet people where they are spending their time,” stated Lisa Sherman, President and CEO of the Ad Council, which is 75 this year. “For millions across the country that’s playing games online, on mobile or on consoles. The League of Extraordinary Humans is just the first step in bringing our message of diversity to the gaming community, and we hope that it will help all gamers recognize their role in making the world a more accepting place.”

The “everyday” heroes are:

• Jazz Jennings, the transgender teen who stars in TLC’s hit series I Am Jazz • Mike Begum, aka ‘BrolyLegs,’ a competitive gamer with a bone-muscle deficiency • Diana Nyad, a swimmer who completed a 110-mile swim from Cuba to Florida at age 64 • Grace Dolan-Sandrino, a transgender advocate • Anne Munition, a vocal LGBTQ gaming influencer • Benjamin Williams, co-founder of the PAX Diversity Lounge • Hana Mangat, a teen who started a Sikh club at her school • August De Los Reyes, an advocate for inclusive design • Marley Diaz, the 12-year-old founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks • Giana Glantz, the creator of the app “Gender Avengers” • Matt and Jack, Kansas brothers who co-founded an inclusive production company to promote Special Olympics • Isabella Catarina, a fashion designer whose apparel helps physically- and mentally-challenged people dress themselves.

The game, created by Artifact Technologies, will use beacons to engage and challenge Pax West attendees to rethink bias as they collect digital cards featuring “everyday” heroes.

After downloading the mobile game from Apple and Android app stores, players receive messages leading them to six partner booths in the Seattle Washington State Convention Center, including Twitch, Rooster Teeth, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Capcom and Xbox, in order to complete two challenges.

After completing each challenge, they’ll unlock a digital trading card featuring the likeness and story of an ‘everyday’ superhero fighting implicit bias. Select players will win an exclusive Love Has No Labels official Pinny Arcade Pin.

“When the Ad Council approached us about working with them at PAX we jumped at the opportunity,” said Brent Friedman, Co-Founder and CCO Artifact Technologies in the press release, “Our challenge was to create a geo-gaming experience that would not only do justice to the Love Has No Labels campaign, but also to properly showcase the extraordinary group of real-life heroes we have transformed into collectible superhero cards. The end result feels like the perfect convergence of medium and message.”

The cards are illustrated by comic book artists including Dave Dorman, Emily Warren Rice, Al Davison, Chris Visions, Ashley Woods, Garrie Gastonny and Dominic Regan. Comic book veteran Dave Elliott oversaw the art development for the cards.

“The League of Extraordinary Humans” is one more in a series of initiatives promoting inclusion and acceptance and showing the Ad Council remains relevant. Love Has No Labels is firmly part of its pantheon of iconic campaigns such as the wildfire-fighting Smokey Bear (now available as a Snapchat lens), “A mind is a terrible thing to waste” and “Friends don’t let friends drive drunk.”

Except for Kai when he gets chased by a pelican. (Inspired by something my brother, also named Kai, did when we were little XD) Also I think that's when Maya tells Nya the story of Nyad and the whales. And Wu catches Kai drawing with sunscreen on a sleeping Ray.

And I don't think I've talked about the royalty au at all on here... It was just meant to be this drawing but I kept thinking about it... Ray is a knight, who has struck up something more than just a friendship with Wu, the younger prince. Clouse is here, he's kinda like Jafar. Garmadon is sure he's evil, but his father can't believe him; Clouse has him under a spell. It's mostly just fluff xufzyfz6e (a ball,,,,, hanging out in the palace gardens,,,,,,) but there IS a bit of angst I guess, in the form of Mystaké, and when the Overlord tries to take over the kingdom. I also realised earlier that Wu kinda gets to chill a bit in this one. He doesn't have as much pressure on him, in what he has to do and Garmadon and stuff, so that's good :)
