read your miro/luka edm fic and then proceeded to think about it. deeply. in church. i'm feeling extremely haunted and i would love to know more about how you came up with THAT. my jaw kept dropping further and further until i could unhinge it and swallow my fist whole. at the end my heart was racing j was like ohhhh. i don't even follow the dallas stars. i only barely know luka doncic from his allstars video where he sinks a half court shot and then proceeds to look incredibly in love with the dude trying to hold him back. also from his spanish interviews. have they interacted at all. where did you pull this from. why them out of all the people. follow up question how do i inject this in my veins.

Okay, first of all anon I am in love with you for thinking so deeply about this story. In 2020 I suffered extreme lockdown brain damage and got extremely into European EDM and when I saw that tweet for the first time, it stuck with me. I've been pondering that story since LITERALLY the NHL/NBA bubble playoffs. I could say so much more about it.

Second of all, strap in. I lost my mind reading this ask and blacked out while writing this primer up. I had to write this in google docs bc I was afraid my browser would crash and it's literally 1.3k. I also don’t 100% understand how European basketball leagues work, so some of Luka’s origin story might be wrong or inelegantly phrased. If any European basketball fans want to chime in and correct me, please do.

MIRO AND LUKA: ROOKIE RESPECT, A PRIMER

The year is 2017. The Dallas Stars have the third overall pick in the NHL draft. Miro Heiskanen, a mild-mannered and mature but intense Finnish defensemen, is considered one of the top European prospects and the top European defenseman in the entire draft. He goes 3OA to the Stars, who are beginning to build up what the media goes on to call their Finnish mafia (due to the amount of Finns on team) and also needed a defenseman. Miro signs a three year entry level contract shortly after the draft and is loaned to his home team in Liiga (Finnish hockey league), HIFK, for the season. He is 18 years old.

Meanwhile, Luka Dončić, who has been in the Spanish basketball trenches since he was 13, is tearing Liga ACB (the top basketball division in Spain) and EuroLeague (the top European basketball league) as an eighteen year old with Real Madrid in the 2017-2018 season. He guides Real Madrid to the EuroLeague finals and wins EuroLeague MVP. At the end of the season, he is drafted by the Atlanta Hawks third overall. He is immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for draft rights to Trae Young and a future 1rd pick. The Mavs wanted him, but drafted later in the 2018 draft and knew they didn’t have a chance in hell of getting him. So they traded for him. He is, at the time, tall, still a little gangly, and often emotional.

In 2018, Luka and Miro begin their rookie seasons in Dallas. They are both very, very good. Miro and the Stars make the playoffs in Miro’s first season. Luka and the Mavs do not, but Luka smashes the shit out of several rookie scoring records and is voted Rookie of the Year. Miro goes to the NHL All-Star Game in San Jose, the sole representative for the Stars. Luka narrowly misses being selected for the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, but finishes second in fan voting after LeBron James. Miro finishes fourth in voting for the Calder in 2018 (the NHL’s rookie of the year award) and they both, of course, make the All-Rookie Teams in their respective leagues.

Critical to this is that these are not even the jerseys that they swapped. Oh yes: they exchanged jerseys their rookie year. The Stars and the Mavs share an arena and their PR teams are no fools; when your city has two of the top rookies in their leagues, you lean the fuck in. They exchanged jerseys while Miro looks the most awkward he has ever looked in his life and Luka looks like a normal human being. And then their team makes them do photoshoots in entirely different jerseys. Rookie. Respect.

And that’s just their first season! The Stars lose in the second round of the playoffs, but they come tearing back the next season in 2019-2020. The Mavs do too. In their respective league playoff bubbles (NBA in Walt Disney World, Florida, the Stars in Edmonton, Alberta), they both break MORE scoring records as young phenoms. The Mavs ultimately do not make it out of the first round and the Stars lose in their final round, but there’s no doubt that the city has something special.

Meanwhile, COVID. The 2020-2021 NHL season is a fucking nightmare for a lot of teams, particularly the Stars, who got hit with COVID multiple times, and ultimately fail to make the playoffs. I frankly was only watching games during the NBA 2020-2021 season and not following narratives, so I don’t know if the Mavs were dealing with COVID to the extent the Stars were. The Mavs did make the playoffs, but lose again in the first round.

Summer of 2021. Miro is at the end of his ELC in the NHL. Luka is eligible for a rookie extension in the NBA. (I understand NBA contracts even less than I understand NHL contracts, so ask someone else about this details of this.) Both the Mavs and the Stars are prepared to break the fucking bank for these players. Guess what Luka and Miro do.

Miro signs an eight year contract with the Stars in July 2021.

Luka signs a five year contract with the Mavs in August 2021.

BRO THEY’RE SPENDING THE NEXT HALF-DECADE IN THE SAME ARENA. THEY’RE SPENDING THE NEXT HALF-DECADE IN DALLAS TOGETHER. When I say I lost my mind….!!!

In 2021-2022, the Stars come back from their COVID hell season and make the playoffs again, but lose in the first round. The Mavs lose in the Western Conference Finals, but hell, the fact that they made it to the WCF? Crucial. To be honest I was not watching much basketball OR hockey that season, so that whole season for both teams is kind of my lost year. (Well. Lost years for all teams in all leagues. I watched the NHL and NBA playoffs because the Dubs are my hometown team and I love the Avs, and this paid off well for me, but during regular season, I think I watched like three NHL games and two NBA games all season.) I don’t really know how the narrative has developed since then. I don’t know if the parallels in their careers have continued to be crazy-making.

I do know that Luka is having an insane year this season; every time I get notification from theScore, I go, how the fuck…?? And a quick glance at hockey-reference tells me that in 34 games this season, so far Miro has matched last year’s goals and is well on his way to making up the difference in assists. Miro had a rough year last year because he had mono and a hand injury, but he seems well-poised to come back strong this year. I don’t know what Luka is doing, but he is insane.

And I mean, that’s the story so far: parallel careers, parallel stories. Both 3OA, both rookie phenoms, both of them being cornerstone pieces of their franchises going forward into the future while still nascent in their careers, and just very, very good players. It’s early in their careers in the States, we have to remember that, and I am sure things could (and maybe have! Again I have been a little checked out of both sports and particularly both teams the past couple years) continue to develop and evolve in bonkers ways. How long will they stay in Dallas? How long will their careers last? How long will their lives intersect by the simple fact of a city and an arena? It makes me wild to think about. Cross-sports romances are so undervalued in sports rpf fandoms and when the narrative hits just right? Let’s fucking go.

There are exactly two fics on AO3 under their tag, both of them by the Stars RPF GOAT Nadler, and one podfic of Nadler’s work. They are both excellent fics and the podfic is quite good as well. I think about wunderkinder all the time and wish desperately for a follow up, and the PWP is just straight up good shit. And maybe someday I’m going to have a mental breakdown and finish the fake dating/mutual pining fic I started last year with them, but in the meantime, we have their IRL narrative. Fated by sports, love in the face of it all. When the narrative is right? It is so right.

And im back with some more fic recommendations!! Fanfic writers need more love so I try and make these big shoutout posts every so often to show they deserve to be appreciated! I try my best to engage with my favorite writers but sometimes I get caught up and forget! So this is my way of showing my love!! If you read any of these and enjoy let the writers know!

Take it Slow and My everything by @atlafan - I recommended TIS before, My Everything is the sequel and it does NOT disappoint. She’s taking a brief hiatus to focus on a NEW story I also highly recommend which is Florist!Harry. Oh also her college!Harry blurbs under “Lock the door” is phenomenal. Read it ALL!!!

Y/N is taking care of Harry’s boss and she’s absolutely smitten by @jawllines - Long fic that’s AMAZING. It literally got be through 2 days of work lol. I don’t want to spoil anything because honestly the element of surprise was one of my favorite parts of this! so go read!!

Roses and Vanilla by @goldenfeelin - Such a sweet sweet cute fluffy piece!! I re-read it often, it makes me smile :) love love love!! it’s long and overall well written and yeah just good vibes no stress read

Magazines, Meddle, & Mushrooms by @avhrodite - This... literally gave me an OBSESSION with 70s!Harry jfc. It’s kind of magical reading this, I almost, like, feel high and hazy with the characters and it’s a lot of fun to read and the smut? amazing. Ugh, just VIBES the whole time. Athens by @moonchildstyles - okay, kind of cheating here but not really. Right now only part one of Athens is on her Tumblr bc she’s posting quicker (or exclusively I forget sorry!!) to her patreon for this story. HOWEVER I recommend even just reading the first part (and if you can afford to join her patreon freaking do it yesss) but she also has some of my favorite fics up on her masterlist on Tumblr!

Basically it’s a story between a nanny and Grayson but it’s SO good and SO well written and interesting, im always so excited for updates. Also the title is so cute! I'm into the mutual pining

Alpha by @deeperdolan - okay read the fic and read ALLL the concepts and blurbs. I literally check the tags for her alpha!gray stuff because it’s so good. Sexy and cute and domestic ugh, it has it all. I love it so much and one of my favorite tags to look at, like daily lol.

Yesterday by @persistence-ofmemories - When I tell you I'm HOOKED on this story. Grayson tweeted the other day and I literally forgot it wasn’t the Grayson in the story. You get INTO it. Also the main girl (Marisol) is Latina and I appreciate stories that have a Latina cause I can feel more connected to the story and honestly the Spanish makes me happy lol (im Latina, if y'all didn’t know). Anyways, besides all that I swear this whole story will have you hooked.

Daddies Girl by @dolandolll - I check for updates everyday just because I'm so on my toes with this. also everything she writes is wonderful and I re read a lot of Leah’s fics

Nothing Compared to You by @episkygrant - so you’ll find this story in her concepts masterlist (with is within her bigger masterlist at the end) anyways, it’s so good! I love the story line (professor x student vibes) and truthfully, anything Isabella writes is ART. It’s crazy she writes SO MANY STORIES and just never misses.

I just want to reply to this “predominantly white” fanbase ask you just got. POC doesn’t only mean black, so you may think the fanbase is predominantly “white” but Latinos/Hispanics come in different shades and we don’t all have Spanish last names. I don’t know where this discussion came from but can we please stop nit picking at Colbys every action and making it a bigger deal than it is? And can we just stop focusing only on Colby!? why dont you guys ever call out Sam for ANYTHING. Its always Colby. Sam being in a relationship or being closed off doesnt excuse his actions at all, he has made some closed minded comments and contradicts himself all the time but people just brush it off while finding a way to attack Colby for literally anything.

Yes you’re allowed to discuss stuff but they’re a duo and i think this obsession some have with Colby and any move he makes not only makes him pull away but makes the fandom very toxic. No one says a word about the stuff Sam likes and unlikes or the problematic and questionable people he follows back to back. The subtweets, the tweets. The breadcrumbs he drops along the way. Oh but Colby is seen NEAR someone who is problematic and suddenly here comes the torches.

that's a valid point too. i get what you're saying. i think a lot of ppl just assume that most of the fanbase is white. that's not to say that light skin POCs don't exist in the fandom though.

this conversation started originally with colby paying attention to two fans, one in particular looking like what ppl assume is colby's type. and then it slowly changed into ppl noticing him only paying attention to mostly skinny white fans. and while this conversation has gone on longer than i anticipated, i do agree with you that i think leaving sam out of the equation doesn't help.

sam does pretty much the same shit as colby, is not more so, but no one says much about it. colby's action get put under a lens more often, for reasons i'm not gonna try to understand. maybe it's bc he's single, maybe it's bc fans favor him more, or expect more. idk.

however, if fans want to have conversations like this, i think it's fine to occassionally. i get why you're upset at it though. personally, i don't think there's some deeper narrative that we're missing or something. colby doesn't seem to have a malicious bone in his body and assuming every action he takes is somehow calculated or meant to hurt someone is nonsense and exhausting.

for me, just to bring it back to my original point, the fact that i notice that neither sam OR colby pay as much attention to plus size fans as they do skinny fans, while upsetting, isn't something worth losing my mind over. i try not to think about it bc it's not worth it, to me, to get upset over constantly. if i try to find a meaning behind everything they do, when i don't know them at all, i'll be spending my days focusing on them and nothing else. plus, to me, while it sucks they ignore fans with my body type or bigger, there's nothing i can do about it and it's not my place to assume why they do what they do in the first place.

but i know i also have the luxury to ignore it. some don't. and that's fine.

Chelsea fan here I have a hypothetical question for u about our UWCL final against Barca last year. I would ask a Barca fan on Twitter but a lot of them aren’t nice too talk and the ones that are tweet in Spanish so ur the best option. Assuming u watched the final how do u think the final goes if we don’t score an own goal within the first minute. Now I’m not a delusional fan we would have likely still lost but we we’re quite unlucky in some instances. For example, they got a pretty dubious pen against us and we might have had one ourselves for Mapi’s barge on Magda in the box, also P (in no way I’m a blaming for the loss btw) missed 3 big chances (according to sofascore) it’s all bout margins in such a big game. It was also in my view anyway a bit naive of Emma to play Niamh at full back in the final and I know she played well against Bayern (2nd leg) against Wolfsburg but I felt a natural full back would stand a better chance of defending against martens. If ur wondering why I would remind myself of this painful memory real’s performance got me thinking about it. In all likelihood I think we still would have lost something like 3-1 but I just wanted to know ur view if possible

I did watch the final yeah, but it was some time ago so I don't remember all the exact details tbh. I'm pretty much on the same page as you in that Barca would've gone on to win it, but Chelsea could've represented themselves way better and that embarrassing scoreline was unfortunate.

The opening 10 minutes for Chelsea were like the worst thing that could happen to a team in a final. And that was such a soft pen, never ever is that a pen in my book 😬 Like you said, Harder did have a few good chances but it also felt like some luck was really needed for it to result in a goal, whereas with Barca they were piling on so hard that it would need luck to actually keep a goal out.

Now that you mention it, maybe starting Cuthbert (given her pitbull ways) instead of Niamh would’ve been better to quell Martens but honestly Chelsea’s whole defence was getting ripped apart left, right, and centre so it wasn’t only the fullbacks that had a torrid time. Though I really felt for Carter too, she just looked like she was getting toyed with.

Real Madrid’s recent performance was interesting bc of a few things: 1) they had a clear plan (to press daringly, and executed it well up till the dubious penalty kinda ruined their mojo) 2) they were playing at home with vigour and an apparent chip on their shoulder, probably the result of having faced Barca too many times this season 3) this Barca team look like they aren’t used to conceding first or “losing control” and that shook them up a good amount

Barca will probably never let this happen again and would be grateful for experiencing this shock early on like this where they have plenty of time to recover, rather than at a vital stage of the uwcl later on... But it was a good example/boost of confidence to many of the other teams that Barca isn’t all that infallible if you can get the plan + execution right. I’m sure a lot of coaches (even Jonas mentioned it before) have plans like this in mind for their teams, but carrying it out on the pitch — to a level that actually disrupts Barca’s rhythm and puts yourself in the driving seat — is a whole other story.

Just Ask Her Out

In which MJ is popular and Peter is still a dork.

Inspired by a tweet and I’ve actually had this in my drafts for ages so I thought I’d bulk it up and turn it into a proper imagine lol. Super fluffy with pining!peter bc he really is a cutie

"Did you study for the Spanish quiz today?" Ned asked his best friend as they made their way to the cafeteria. It was a bleak Monday morning, sometime in early January, and Peter was still reeling from his full force encounter with a brick wall and the icy planes of the alleyway street while fighting a perpetrator last night. Even after practically tapping a bag of frozen peas to his side for the most part of last night, the area around his ribs was still throbbing, and he was grateful he could hide the deep purple bruises beneath a baggy sweater. His back screamed out in pain every time he bent over to pick something up and migraine would be an understatement to explain what was going on in his head right now. He had had to sneak out early this morning before May was up, because she’d know instantly he was hurt and he really didn’t want to worry her. By lunch time, he knew most of that would be gone due to the blessing of his quick healing capabilities but until then, he'd simply have to suffer and endure the agony. So just your regular, average Monday then.

“No Ned." Peter snapped exasperatedly. "Sorry I didn’t the time have to go over my notes while I was getting my head smashed into an alleyway floor.”

“Dude chill, I was just asking.” Ned raised his hands in surrender as they sat down. Peter laid his head on the table and groaned loudly, ignoring the loud protests from his muscles as he lent over his side of the bench and closed his eyes.

"Hey Abe." Peter drawled with his shut, his fingers subconsciously rubbing at his temple.

"Morning Peter." Abraham shot Ned a 'is-he-okay' look to which he replied with a 'don't-even-ask' expression and Abe nodded, understanding immediately.

“What’s got him all beat?” A female voice joined the trio as she slid into the seat opposite them.

“He’s down because he knows he’s going to fail the Spanish quiz today.”

“Dude did you not study?” Cindy asked, hitting his arm playfully. The brown eyed boy winced lightly and glared at her.

“Right, Spidey stuff." She said lowly. Out of the whole school, the only people who knew about Peter's alter ego were sat at that table, and they were all sworn to secrecy to keep it that way. "Sorry Pete. If you want we can study for it now?”

Peter raised his head from the table and straightened out his jumper.

“I guess it can’t hurt more than my head does right now.” He shrugged. He looked up and he wished he hadn’t because whenever his eyes met hers, that funny feeling he got in his stomach every time he saw her returned. Just one look at her and Peter felt the pain slowly ebbing away from his muscles. Cindy noticed him staring and studied him quizzically.

“What?” She noticed his gaze wasn’t aimed at her so she turned around and rolled her eyes. “Peter you’re still on that?” Cindy laughed, taking a sip from the Starbucks cup she had set beside her bag earlier.

“He’s been ‘on that’ since 8th grade.” Ned mocked. Peter elbowed him in the rib.

“I’m not on anything. Or anyone.” He grumbled, placing his Spanish textbook in front of him.

“So you ever gonna ask her out? Or you know, talk to her?”

“That’s Michelle Jones, Cin. What do you think?” He looked back down at his textbook and began trying to recite the words he was supposed to have memorised last week.

“Weren’t you guys friends?” Abe asked, reading over his notes too.

“A long time ago.” Peter replied, the pen lid nestling between his lips as he highlighted parts of the textbook. They were once friends, best friends in fact. His aunt and Michelle’s mom had been like sisters since high school so Peter and Michelle had pretty much grown up together ever since Peter had moved in with Uncle Ben and Aunt May just before the first grade. She had been there for him through his parents death (even though she barely knew him at the time and she was only 4 so didn’t really understand what was going on, she was so kind to him), Uncle Ben’s death (she missed three days of school to allow him to cry on her lap and listened and soothed him the best she could, which to Peter, was a lot) and a whole lot of other things. However, when high school came, they’d drifted apart, Michelle being at the center of attention where she belonged and Peter pushed to the back of the crowd. Michelle had tried to stay friends with Peter but with their drastically different social lives, they eventually grew apart. Now they only ever shared nods or the occasional ‘hey’s in the hallway between classes. That did nothing to stop Peter’s ever growing crush on her to cease. The one he’d been harboring between him and Ned for the past 3/4 years and now Cindy and Abraham, as of recent.

“We’re gonna be graduating soon Parker, you’re gonna have to do it sometime.”

“Or never?” He didn’t even bother to look at her until he felt her presence leave the table. As he lifted his head from the book, he watched Cindy walk away from him and right towards Michelle.

“CIN! CINDY!” He whispered/shouted, trying to get her attention. She snapped her fingers behind her back, as if to tell him to shut up, as she walked past Michelle's table of jocks and cheerleaders. She ignored the weird looks they gave her and made a beeline for Michelle, who was ordering a coffee from the lunch lady.

“God, I hope she’s not doing what I think she’s doing.” Peter moaned, placing his head in his hands.

“Well, you better straighten up because Michelle is coming over here right now?”

“Right now!?” Peter almost leapt out of his seat, forgetting all about his injuries. “Oh god, okay. Do I have something in my teeth? Is my shirt okay? This is a horrible colour isn’t it? I should’ve just worn the blue-”

“Dude, breathe.” Ned nodded slowly. “She’s here,” he whispered.

“Hey Peter.” Michelle smiled. Her soft brown eyes crinkled at the corners as her lips stretched into a grin. Her light brown skin shone in the sunlight like gold and her wild black mane was tamed into a high pony tail, exposing her sharp cheekbones. God, she was so beautiful.

“Hey..hey, Mich-” Peter cleared his throat. “Michelle.” He said in a deeper voice.

“Ned, scram.” Cindy hissed, grabbing her stuff and leaving the table. Abe made some sorry excuse about leaving his chem book in the lab and needing to find it before 2nd period while getting up from the bench also.

“Good luck bro.” Ned spoke under his breath. They did their secret handshake under the table before Cindy dragged the small boy away from the couple by his ear. Peter could still hear him protesting and Abe and Cindy laughing as they left the cafeteria.

“Erm, can I sit?” Michelle asked, gesturing to the space where Cindy previously was.

“Yeah, um of course, feel free.”

“Thanks.” She nodded, flattening the creases in her trousers as she took a seat. Peter doesn't think there's been a time when Michelle had worn a skirt, at her own will. He even remembers back to her aunt's wedding when they were nine she'd gone a hunger strike because she wanted to wear a suit to the wedding instead of a dress because she refused to be like every other girl because she was Michelle Jones and she was unique. Eventually, her mom gave in and Michelle walked down the isle with her aunt in a dark blue tuxedo and little nine year old Peter couldn't stop thinking to himself how beautiful she looked. The same thought came to him when she arrived to homecoming, their freshman year, wearing a strapless purple dress for the first time, with ruffles at the skirt and Peter felt so lucky that he'd arrived with her because she was easily the best looking girl in the room. Although, the year after that, she came with Flash instead and Peter was long forgotten on the bleachers, which is when he met Ned and they instantly became best friends. He somewhat filled the Michelle shaped hole in his life and Peter was honestly glad he'd met him. But that was years ago and this was now.

There was an awkward silence at the table during which Peter stared at her as though she was art and Michelle fiddled with the hem of her jumper, looking down at her coffee.

“So-”

“Cind-” They both started at the same time and laughed nervously, realising they’d interrupted each other.

“You go.” Peter nodded.

“It’s been a long time huh?” Michelle spoke.

“Yeah, it has.”

“How have you been?” She asked sincerely.

“Good. Keeping my head above water. Senior year and all. What about you?”

“Thank you Peter.” She smiled softly and Peter swore his heart stopped beating for a millisecond.

“No problem.”

“Umm, Cindy said you wanted to ask me something.”

“She did?” Peter pretended he had no idea, he was definitely going to kill Cindy later for putting him under this much pressure.

“Yeah, when she came over to me earlier. She said it was important.” Peter hated Cindy and her nosy busy-body self sometimes.

“Umm, well…I…I was wondering if..you’d..umm…if…you’d…managed to study for the spanish test today.” He rushed the end bit, chickening out last minute. He couldn’t ask her out, the words refused to leave his mouth. His palms were sweaty and it suddenly felt as though he’d been pushed into a fire - he was nervous. The smile resting on Michelle’s face dropped as she cocked her head to look at him, confused etched on her soft features. Peter wanted to lean over and iron out the little frown lines that were drawn across her forehead. Her skin look so incredibly soft, like the shea butter moisturiser she uses (though he doesn't know if she still uses it anymore) and her lips were-

“The Spanish test?” She echoed, bringing him out of his thoughts.

“Yeah," He shook his head. "I mean…I’d had no time to study and I was hoping I wasn’t the only one.” Keep digging Parker, just keep digging that hole. Maybe it’d be big enough to bury you in it.

“Umm, yeah, I studied, sorry Peter.” Peter nodded.

“Okay.”

“Was that all?” NO, he wanted to say.

“Yes,” he replied.

Michelle got up and slung her bag over her shoulder.

“Well, good luck Peter. It was nice talking to you again.”

“Thanks, I’ll need it.” He laughed. “It was nice speaking to you too.”

Michelle began walking away slowly, as though she didn’t really want to leave. Peter chewed on his bottom lip, internally slapping himself for blowing his chance like that. Was he really going to finish high school without asking her out. Once? It's not like anyone expected less of him, he was Peter Parker, a dork, a nobody, him with Michelle Jones? The most sought after girl at school, the brightest, smartest, most beautiful girl at school being with him, it was very laughable. Don't even bother, Peter, she'll never-

“Umm,, Michelle, wait up.” Peter gathered his books and stumbled after her.

“Yes?” Michelle turned around, a dim hopeful look in her eye, barely visible, but there nonetheless.

“Actually, I was also wondering, if you…you’d wanna go out with me tomorrow night. I mean, you don’t have to, I know you’re very busy…not that I stalk you or anything, it’s not like I have your schedule memorised or anything-”

“Peter, I’d love to.” Michelle interrupted, placing her hand softly on his shoulder.

“Wait, what?” The hand on his shoulder was sending bolts of electricity shooting through his body and he's pretty sure if it wasn't for the fact that he was Spider-Man, he'd be fried from head to toe by now.

“I’d love to go out with you tomorrow.” The girl smiled warmly.

“Umm, great. Thanks.” THANKS??

“Should I take your number? So you can text me-” “Yeah, yeah, umm-” Peter dropped his books, looking for his phone in his pocket. He scrambled to the floor, picking them up as he handed his phone to Michelle. She punched and saved her number in his phone and handed it back.

“I’ll text you.” Peter nodded, waving his phone at her.

“I’m looking forward to it. See you in Spanish.” Michelle nodded before walking back towards the table with all her popular friends.

I just asked out Michelle Jones and she said yes. He wanted to do a victory dance right here in the hall but he didn’t want anyone to think he was a bigger dork than he was. He left the cafeteria with a wide grin on his face and the beautiful smile of a brown-skinned goddess imprinted in his memory. His phone vibrated in his back pocket and he shuffled all his books to his left arm to pull it out. It was a text from Cindy.

And gave him a pill to desparasitarle(?), and put him a collar para las pulgas? Jajaja. And then I feed him. He was exhausted and hungry. My poor boy.
