Hace 27 años se lanzó en Japón Farm Story ((牧場物語, Bokujō Monogatari), conocido en en Occidente como Harvest Moon. Es un RPG simulador de granja, desarrollado por Amccus para el Super @nintendolatam Entertainment System (Super Famicom). El juego lanzado inicialmente por Pack-In-Video en Japón, siendo distribuido por @natsume.inc en América, y por Nintendo en Europa. La versión europea se distribuyó con localizaciones a francés y alemán. Es la primera entrega de la serie hoy conocida como Story of Seasons, cuyo nombre anterior era Harvest Moon en Occidente. El juego fue re-lanzado en Satellaview, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Wii U y Nintendo Switch.

Yasuhiro Wada fue el productor del juego. Y el último juego en el que trabajó había sido fue Magical Pop’n. Se inspiró de su infancia en el campo, y la serie de juegos Derby Stallion, Wada deseó hacer un RPG sin combate.

It's story of seasons birthday today!!!

On August 9, 1996 game developer Amccus had harvest moon on snes released through publisher Pack-in-Video in Japan. In June 1997 natsume published it here in the USA. The game that started my favorite game series was born today. So here's my story of how I got into the series. I first bought fomt not knowing what it was etc and I failed miserably at the game. It was also because I don't like playing as a male in games so I couldn't connect with it thus didn't care about it so went to trade it in at the store, and got Mfomt and I was in love instantly and played it for hours and hours.
