I hate when twitch streamers are asked for streaming advice and they start talking about how you'll never get big ever and you need to have the 'right' reasons to get into it... like yeah the chances of blowing up are slim and if you're only thinking about getting views fast you'll probably get disappointed/bitter, but like why do so many streamers immediately go to the most negative 'advice' and don't try to encourage people at all? Streaming should be fun! You wanna start streaming? Go do it!! Don't put all your money into it and abandon everything on the small chance you'll get big of course, but if you wanna try it then try it! I'm sure when they give that advice they're trying to be realistic, but honestly it's just overly negative and turns that small chance of making it a job into a 0% chance because it's discouraging ppl from trying at all...

“Hmm?”

“Lils, we need you to focus here.”

“What?” Lily asked, exasperated, looking at the boys who were staring at her expectantly.

“We need to know what you think about soup,” Sirius said. “Is soup good all the time, or is it only good when you are sick?”

Lily blinked. “Do you not see that I’m busy?” she asked back, gesturing at the letter she was writing.

“It’s just a question, Lily, tell us and we’ll leave you alone,” James asked, dragging himself to sit upright in front of the fireplace.

“Why is this even a question you have?” she exclaimed, throwing up her arms.

“Because, James and I think that soup is good only when one is sick, but Remus thinks that soup is good all the time,” Sirius reasoned. “Which is the same thing because Remus is sick all the time.”

“Fuck off,” Remus directed at Sirius, before turning back to Lily. “So, what is it, Lily?”

“What did Peter say?” she asked.

“Oh, he said he doesn’t like soup at all,” James said, making a face.

Lily took a deep breath and considered the three of them. “I think soup is good all the time.”

Remus pumped his hands up in the air just as James exclaimed, “No!”

“Well, you wanted my opinion,” Lily shrugged. “You have it.”

“No, but Lily!” James walked on his knees till he reached her chair. “Soup? Really?”

“What do you have against soup?!” she demanded.

“That’s what I asked!” Remus chimed in.

“I don’t have anything against soup,” James stated. “I just think that soup is good only when you are sick.”

“So, does that mean when I ask you for soup, you wouldn’t get me a bowl unless I’m sick?” Lily asked, feigning indignance.

“I’ll get you whatever you want, Lily, what even is this question?” James grabbed her hands.

“You know,” Sirius observed. “That is very believable because you’re literally grovelling at her feet right now.”

“Anything to get Lily to have the correct opinion about soup,” James grinned.
