Maya and The Three: a general analysis
Tumblr media
Today, I bingewatched Maya and The Three (will be shortened to Mat3 from now on), from episode 1 to 9, generally because of a good friend of mine, @rainbowcutie1789 . If not for her, than I'd probably would not even know anything about the show. And by the way, this was a part of a game of Truth or Dare that I played with her (I dared myself and her that we'd watch our favorite shows. She watches my favorite, I watch her favorite), She's watching Ren & Stimpy, by the way (she likes it quite a bit)
This post has (spoilers) for the show, but Let's start!
Plot
Mat3 is a linear show consisting of 9 episodes, and its plot is Maya going on an adventure with the three warriors (Rico - The Rooster, Chimi - The Skull and Picchu - The Puma) as a part of the true Prophesy (hence why the main group are at times called "The Prophecy Friends") to defeat Lord Mictlan (the main antagonist of the show). The show will probably take around ~4:30-5 hours for ya.
Characters
Maya - the poster girl of the series*
*a poster girl (out of "poster boy") is when a character (usually the main character, female in this case) becomes the character that the show is generally associated with and appears as the main focus in promotional material such as, well, posters.
Maya is one of the main characters of the show and (as I said) the poster girl of the series. She's half-human, half-god (so a demigod), being the biological daughter of Lady Micte, the goddess of death and King Teca (guess who he is). She's raised by King Teca and Queen Teca (her stepmother). It's basically confirmed in the show that she falls in love with Zatz, one of her former enemies, former emissiary of Lord Mictlan and the son of Camazotz.
In a nutshell, Maya's generally a brave, adventurous girl.
Great MC and poster girl, 9/10
Zatz - The Prince of Bats, poster boy of the series?
Zatz is the prince of bats, being sort of the poster boy of the series, but mostly because of his handsome design, with a generally glorious, but Gothic-like appearance, as he derives from The Underworld (hell?). As I said, he's Maya's romantic partner, that's why I put him right next to Maya in this post.
Can't say much about the guy, but he's a chill dude, 9/10
Rico - The Rooster (hehe he's like Rico from Brawl Stars)
Rico's generally my favorite character in this show because of his personality. He's just a silly talkative guy! He's a magician and he can use two types, one from his apparently sentient staff Estefan (hehe, get it?) and his more powerful and dangerous type, peasant magic. He's generally a really expressive character for me, that's why he's my favorite.
He was cowardly at first, as we learn from his backstory that
(SPOILER ALERT) when he was at his (likely first) magic talent show, he made fun at by other people when he tried to do magic and he used his Peasant magic, in turn destroying the Luna Auditorium as a whole.
He did start to embrace his magic and used his peasant magic and eventually Estefan.
I love him! Such a silly little guy! 10/10 character.
Chimi - The Skull
Chimi comes from the jungle and was raised there, as she was feared by her people for being albino (and thus, having a very pale look) (being called "Monstruo Blanco" (White Monster))
She's grown to be an excellent archer and somehow speaks perfect English, despite being raised in the jungle?
She paints her face like a skull, likely for her deceased mother, hence why Picchu calls her "Bones girl".
Cool ass character, 10/10
Picchu - The Puma (hehe, his name is like Pichu the Pokemon)
Picchu is the barbarian of the main group. Mercy is his motivation, as he thinks that it's something that he wouldn't give, but it's who he was. He also doesn't really have that much knowledge in English, so he messes up with the language quite a bit.
A Barbaric, but kind guy, 9/10
Lord Mictlan - The Main Antagonist of the show
Lord Mictlan has a badass design and I absolutely LOVE how he can just split his face in half at times. He is the main antagonist though.
10/10 design, 9/10 character.
Minor Characters
Here, I'll mention some side characters of the show
Grand Bruja - I'm only mentioning her because she has a goofy design, with her using her nose for battle once.
Grand Brujo (not to be confused with his daughter, Grand Bruja) - also has a goofy design
Ah Puch - there are three of Ah Puch, I love that.
Camazotz (Zatz' father), Vucub - They have badass designs.
Zyanya - Camazotz' wife and Zatz' mother. She has a funny name. (Not meaning to offend her)
Now, the qualities
The Qualities
The animation and visuals are absolutely amazing! There are moments in the show where the characters just pop out of the movie format and get to the borders of the 16:9 format, mostly in action scenes.
Speaking of the action scenes, they are SICK. I love them.
The animation in general is expressive and smooth, always what I like about something!
The character designs are great all around, from beautiful, to badass, to goofy. The visuals are basically movie-standard!
The voice acting is great! Not much to say more about it.
The show itself
The first 8 episodes are great, with episode 1 introducing us to the Teca and Maya herself, episodes ~2-6 introduces us to the Prophecy friends, as she's figured out, again, the true prophecy after (spoiler alert) she sees symbols on her brothers' graves, them being Rooster, Skull and Puma.
The ninth episode, The Sun and The Moon, however is the final one and is about the main group and their allies defeating Lord Mictlan. It's AMAZING, it's an episode that rivals with my favorite episode of Ren & Stimpy, "The Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen". Both episodes hold special places in my heart, albeit, the Yaksmen episode has a more special place but Mat3's ninth episode is close.
General rating
It's a really great show that would take you only around ~4:30-5 hours long with amazing visuals and lovable characters!
10/10 series!

TOA Anniversary Munday!
Celebrating TOA and the people who contribute to make our group what it is.
Repost, don't reblog. Only fill in what you feel comfortable sharing!
Happy anniversary, TOA! Here's to many more years spent together.
tagging: you? :0)
Name: lilly!
Pronouns: she / they, big they though!
Birthday (no year): april 4th!
Where are you from? What is your time zone? pst, lmao. gmt-8, i think?
Roleplay experience: roughly like 20 years now? lmao, cringe.
Got any pets? yeah, my little buppy, max. he's a demon.
Favorite time of year: winter!
Some interests and things you like: cooking, baking, rhythm games, sleeping, lmao.
Some funfacts & trivia about you: i'm double-jointed in one hand; i tend to only bake cookies in batches of like 7 dozen or more; i've killed at least like six different succulents this year alone; every so often, i'll think about spider-man and its various iterations and fully forget what i was doing before i started thinking about it.
What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? the more recent persona games, a truly insane number of otomes, i still have not finished yakuza 0, pokemon, dress-up games, lmao,,,,,
Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon: dragon, dragonite!
How did you get into Fire Emblem? ......... wanted another dating sim real bad and my friend told me to play awakening please do not judge me—
What Fire Emblem games have you played? everything post-awakening, lmao,,,,, except for sov, which continues to elude me in completion for reasons beyond my understanding
First Fire Emblem game: awakening!
Favorite Fire Emblem game: would it be bad if i said none of them—well, okay. technically, i think an awful lot about fates, but i don't necessarily think it's my favorite? ..... but i do think about it a lot.
Any Fire Emblem crushes? nnnnnnot that i can think of?
If you’ve played the following games, who was your first S support? wwww, awakening was chrom ( by accident ), then olivia ( intentionally lmao ); fates was takumi; three houses was claude lel; engage was pandreo, to no one's surprise.
Favorite Fire Emblem class: KINSHI KNIGHT NATION RISE!!!!
If you were a Fire Emblem character, what would be your class? villager, and i would have died four times before you recruit me.
If you were a Three Houses character, what would be your affiliation? golden deer, probably, lmfao.
If you were an Engage character, which Emblem would you Engage with? none, i'm firmly of the belief i'm an ultra npc.
How did you find TOA? chuu! had severe 3h brainrot, and chuu already was in the group and told me it was like full of people who didn't need me to be Online All The Time! it's funny because i ended up not even apping for someone from 3h either, lmao.
Current TOA muses: pandreo!
Who was your first TOA muse? If you don’t have them anymore, could you see yourself picking them up again? cynthia, my silly little horse girl, lmao. i always think about picking her up, but it's always a debate of if i've done enough on her or not. easily my favorite character to pick up and start running with, though.
Have you had any other TOA muses? shigure, lon'qu, CONSTANCE VON NUVELLE, m!byleth, shiro, kiragi,,,,, i think that's it, actually? i don't remember any of my other ones, oopsie, lmao.
Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? i tend to generally write characters in my wheelhouse, though i think i have deviations now and again lmao. like, who would think i'd write shigure, right? but, mostly cheerful characters, i think. mood-makers, the kind of people who would set a scene, but also be enough of a backseat player to the driving force where any protagonist or antagonist would take up the reins more comfortably? i think they tend to get written off as genki or filler characters, so i like kind of prodding at their insecurities and seeing what makes them tick instead.
What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? lmao, lbr i'm made for the clown show. nonsensical moments, increasingly strange meet and greets? but, i like doing big establishing moments that suspend what you know about my characters at face value to explore what's deeper in there. i'll slowburn friendship, idgaf; that's my shit.
Favorite TOA-related memory: lel, team justice is still a highlight in my memory from l&k, but i also remember this very specific combat sequence i wrote with rai in the first major lore event with felix and cynthia that was sick as hell to do! ....... also, probably every piemageddon. it is funny seeing even the serious characters fear for their lives / get uber maniacal in a ridiculous situation.
Got any delusions that didn’t see the light of day in TOA that you’d like to share? do not look behind the curtain, lmao.

2017 Ducktales as pokemon trainers an their Teams
Tumblr media
Here’s the next, are currently final, Disney cartoon on my list for makings characters into pokemon trainers. After this I will move over to doing other shows on Cartoon network. I did not get into this show when it was airing, and that was my bad. Once I did watch it it quickly became on of my favorites, and inspired me to look up older cartoons surrounding Donald, and his family as well. Its a good show an seems to be (rightly) held up as one of the best done reboots. Hopefully it still has some fans going back to its fan base, who will check this out.
I am going to do this list a bit differently than my other though. In previous lists I have either given all the characters full teams of 6, or given main characters teams of 6 and secondary characters teams of 3-4 pokemon. For 2017 Ducktales though, since it has such a large cast and they all always go on adventures in groups, I am not giving anyone 6 pokemon. Because then there would really be to many characters to fit in the plane, much less the show. Considering the group sizes I have decided to give the child characters 2 pokemon each, adult members of the duck family (by both blood and heart) get three each. This way the three triplets, or Webby, and her friends would all have six in total. Same with Duo’s like Donald and Della, or Scrooge and Beakley. I am also only giving villain or antagonist characters two, because that’s about the mass number villains ever had at one time in the show.
Adults are on this list. Kids are on my previous list
Scrooge and  Beakley
Tumblr media
Scrooge Mcduck
Scrooge’s thing is that he is“Smarter than the smarties, tougher than the toughies, and sharper than the sharpies”. So I picked out three pokemon for him based on those traits
Slowking: Scrooges “Smartier than the smarties” pokemon
Charizard: Scrooges “Tougher than the toughies” pokemon. Yes, of course Scrooge is able to mega evolve his charizard. He is Scrooge McDuck
Mightyena: Scrooges “Sharper than the sharpies” pokemon
Even with limiting the characters to to a maximum of three pokemon each, this is still a more Op team than I usually try to give. But it’s Scrooge Mcduck’s team, and his character is designed to be an OP mentor to the next generations of adventures.
Bentina Beakley
Greninja: Well she is not just Bentina Beakley. She is also Agent 22. Greninja is a pokemon that Agent 22 caught (as a froakie) and trained to assist her in her spy days. It still assists herto this day, in keeping the manor, and its inhabitants safe
Nidorina: So one notable change in the 2017 ducktales depiction of Mrs.Beakley is her physical appearance. She went from being a soft and round women to a more muscled and fit women. This change makes sense when you take into count the changes to her backstory, and that she has lived a more physically demanding life. Well anyway because she is such a muscular and fit women I decided to give her a muscular and fit female pokemon. Why did I give her a Nidorina, instead of its evolved form Nidoqueen?  Because I wanted it to  still have the potential o evolve in a battle, while helping Beakley protect the kids.
Minccino: In both the 2017 version, and in the original one Mrs.Beakley is Scrooges house keeper. It’s a big manor, and I thought she could use a pokemon that would give her a hand with all the wok. I googled what the cleanliest pokemon was and got Minccino. Honestly the idea of this big, strict, and sophisticated, women having a cute, little, chinchilla pocket pet is just to good to pass up.
Donald and Della Duck
Tumblr media
Donald Duck
Dewgone: Because he is a sailor and a former Navy seal.
Psyduck: Because as a tough, pretty unlucky duck, that is constantly dealing with headaches, and has a bad side you do NOT want to be on, Psyduck is basically a pokemon version of Donald.
Minun: This one is a tie to and representative of his bond with Della. Because of that I might swap Minun out for another pokemon if I ever do Donald in a different usiverse, where he lives with either the other two Caballeros or Micky. In this Universe Della has a Plusle and the twins siblings caught them together, back when they first started adventuring with Scrooge.
Della Duck
Skarmory: She is a pilot so she needs a champion flying type. The size and fiercness of a skarmory makes it a pokemon that would suit Della very well.
Plusle: The sibling to Donald’s minun, and representative of Donald and Della’s bond as siblings
Klefairy: Picked because of Della’s goals and association with the Moon. I think she had it before going into space (if she caught it on the moon couldn’t it have just taken her to the moonlanders) and it helped her try to rebuild her rocket to get back home.
Launchpad and Darkwing Duck
Tumblr media
Launchpad McQuack
Flygon: He is a pilot so, like Della and Dewey, I am giving him flying pokemon. But they both have birds, and I wanted to give Launchpad something different to help distinguish himself a bit, while still making sure it was big enough for him and others to ride on. This led me to flygon.
Gligar: a cute, clumsy, silly, little bat-scorpion pokemon. A prefect buddy, secondary flying pokemon for launchpad. Also I headcannon that in the original dakwing duck cartoons D.D. has a gliscor, and that inspired L.p. to catch a gligar
Mantyke: While going through the list of flying type pokemon it occurred to that some of Luanchpad’s crashes happen over water, and he probably gets suck in the ocean a fair bit. So it would come in handy for him to have a pokemon that could help him swim to shore,
Drake Mallard a.k.a Darkwing Duck
Growlith: To highlight that he is a brave, little guy, who guards others.
Koffing: It can do smoke screens, and Dawrkwing uses smoke screens all the times to appear and disappear
Drifblim: So I said on my kids form that I tried to do bat pokemon for all three of the dark wing trio. But that I could not make any of them work for Gosalyn or Drake. So I changed the linker to just being nocturnal pokemon. Launchpad has Gligar, Gosalyn has Rowlet, and I think Driftblim is a really good fit for  Drake/Darkwing. It can help him swoop around around the town to “watch over it”. It’s big enough to carry him and his companions. It does not have control of where it goes, but that works to since this team is largely klutzes with Drake/Darkwing being the biggest klutz of all.
Gyro and Fenton
Tumblr media
Gyro Gearloose
The way I see it Gyro would be an electric type trainer
Magnamite: A cute little magnet pokemon. Represents when Gyro’s inventions (such a little bulb) are small, and helpful, and not evil and trying to destroy everybody.
Zebrashtrike: For Manny, since Gyro is the one who employed him and made him a part of the Duck/Mcduck’s family.
Electivire: A big electric monster. Represents when Gyro’s little, helpful, non evil inventions turn big, and angry, and dangerous.
Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera
Fenton I believe would be a steal type trainer
Registered: The most similar a pokemon I could find to his Gizmoduck suit. It would be a partner to him when he is out doing hero patrols.
Bronzo: Because both Fenton and Gizmoduck care about defending people in need. This pokemon would be shared among both personas. It’s not like Fenton’s “secret identity” is really an actual secret after all.
Togedenru: This one is just Fenton’s, not Gizmoduck’s. I picked it because it’s an electric and steal type. Gyro is the person Fenton admires most (I persoanlly do not ship them as a couple, but I am also not opposed to them being one) so I could see him wanting a pokemon that’s half his type and half Gyros. Its also pudgy, fluffy, and cute. So maybe its Fentons emotional support pokemon for when his life gets to stressful (Because you know it would).
Daisy  Duck
Tumblr media
Daisy is a fashion designer in this  universe, so I picked pokemon that had very elegant and fashionable appearances: Milotic and beautifly.
For her third pokemon I picked a ducklett. It’s still a very elegant white/blue pokemon. It being another water pokemon goes well with the life the season 3 finale sets up for her and Donald to have together. Maybe it and  Donald’s Psyduck could become friends.
Gandra Dee
Tumblr media
Looks like she will primarily be a ground type trainer
Claydol: Some of its battle moves are similar to ones Gandra uses.
Ditto: Her goal is to push the boundaries of science. Given that Ditto can turn into pokemon, people, and inanimate objects, it is a pokemon where it and its tainer can certainly work to push the boundaries of its transformative abilities
Drilbur: She caught it sometime after she and Fenton started dating and she became a mole inside F.O.W.L.
Penumbra
Tumblr media
Honestly at first I was not going to even put Penumbra. Not because I do not think she is cool (she is), but because a big part of her character is that she is from the moon. So she would have to have lunar/space pokemon, and there are only a few of those, much less ones that would suit her.
Deoxys: I finally remembered this one. While not a fighting type, Deoxys is a super tough warrior from outer space, and a very loyal friend (see the pokemon movie Destiny Deoxys, and everything it goes through to rescue its friend). This is perfect for Penumdra, as I cannot see her just standing at one end of a battle field calling out attacks. She would want a pokemon that she could fight hand and hand along side with
Starmie; She already has a deoxys, and that could have been enough if I did not find anything else... But I rewatched some of the first season; saw Starmies spin attack, it come in like 3rd place in a race while carrying Misty, and it fly out to confront a giant, angry, tenticruel. I also read on wiki that it can flash its core a rainbow of colors (ooh reference to Penny being Lesbian). So I would say it and Penumdra would be pretty cool too.
Chespin: Deoxys and Starmie are the two pokemon she had in space/on the Moon. When she decides to live on planet Earth instead though she catches an Earth starter. Starmie is already a water type, and I personally feel like she would chose grass over fire types. I looked at all all the grass types and selected Chespin due to its move pool and evolution's.
Goldie O’Gilt
Tumblr media
Goldie has 2 pokemon. She has a Persian and a Liepard. 2 strong, stealthy, theiving, cats  to help Goldie track down treasure and scare away anyone who does not think Goldie should be taking it with her.
Villians
Tumblr media
GlomGold: 2 sharpedo’s. Because he loved Sharks so much, he states a few times that his personal sharks are basically the closest thing to a real family (as apposed to the employs he hires, doops, uses, then Betrays) that he has.
Magica De Spell: She is a ghost type trainer and has a Misdreavus and a Mismagius. Beautiful, loud, terrifying, nocturnal, tricksters.
Ma Beagle: She has a Snubble and a Grubble of course. Basically the pokemon versions of her “boys”
Mark Beaks: He has a pikachu and a Raiachu. Like everything else in his life he acquired them because the public thought they were “cute” and “meme worthy”. So he got a pair to be his mascots.
I am leaving Lunaris and Bradford off this list. Lunaris because simply put I am out of space pokemon. Bradford because given how he hated adventure as much as he did, I feel like he would probably also hate pokemon, and pokemon training.
Storkules and Selene
I like them a lot and want to have them on this list. I will give them one Pokemon each. Storkules has a Regigigas and Selene has a Lunatone. Zeus does not get any pokemon. Zeus is not mature enough to be a trainer

Tell me more..
(my votes on jack but I like letting people talk about their favorite characters)
if i do, will you share this with your friends and ask them nicely to vote for ingo? 3:
well, for starters, now that were talking halloween, id just like to say- shiny chandelure kind of reminds me of a pumpkin, lol.
Tumblr media
(if ingos chandelure were shiny, do you think that would arguably make him a pumpkin king too?)
anyway, something i really love about ingo is that....hes just a nice guy. seriously. this man is polite as hell and is very invested in supporting and encouraging the people around him, from his booming "BRAVO"s to his insistence that beating him in a fight was only one of the milestones in your life, and that you should continue to rack up more and more! i mean, i know hes from a pokemon game. so. most people that arent antagonists are kind and supportive but just bear with me here.
another thing i think is really cool about ingo is that he seems to have a tendency to train objectmon, he loves his good friends, aka, massive gears covered in spikes, a chandelier, rock in the shape of a face, magnet cyclops, and a literal pile of garbage! all of them are beloved and valued by him<3
ingos love for pokemon, or battling, or both, is so strong apparently that even when hes tossed a good several hundred years into the past without any of his memories, he still manages to not only become the warden of a revered pokemon, but also one of the strongest trainers in the region (not that there was much competition, which has probably contributed to his general sadguy vibe in PLA). dude just loves animals that kick ass THAT much.
also, in tumblr sexyman fashion, ingo understands the importance of a snazzy top hat and a suit:) here he is all dressed up!

You know what, here, have my "Why I love ORAS" essay I wrote for Playwriting class. Presenting:
How Pokemon Rotted my Brain (In a Good Way)
I’ve always been a fan of video games. Ever  since I was really little and watching my dad play games I was too young to play on his Playstation 2 or XBox 360, and then later when I was playing games like Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman on those same systems and later ones like the Playstation 3. But there’s one system, and one game, that have stuck with me to this very day. Not just in a metaphorical sense, in a literal sense.
To call the Nintendo 2DS a toy would be inaccurate. Such a complex device of computational power, all that fun and joy packed into that little tiny system. No, it was much, much more than a toy. It was, and still is, my most prized possession.
I don’t remember when I received it. I remember that before I got it I would play 3DS games on my Dad’s 3DS and that when I got it, I used my own money to pay for it and that I got it instead of the 3DS because it was 30 dollars cheaper and they played the same games (for reference, a 2DS is the same system as the 3DS without the 3D function).
There are many games I played on that 2DS, almost all of them near and dear to me. Kirby Triple Deluxe, Kirby Planet Robobot (a personal favorite of mine), Pokemon Y, Kid Icarus Uprising, and many others. But one particular game has endured with me to this day. A game I’ve replayed time and time again, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, released in 2014.
While my introduction to the Pokemon franchise was Pokemon Y, the game that made me love it was Alpha Sapphire. Along with its counterpart, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire served as a remake of the Generation 3 games Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire (released in 2003 in Japan and 2004 in US). Pokemon Alpha Sapphire took me on an incredible Journey through the Tropical Hoenn Region, collecting Gym Badges and putting a stop to the evil machinations of Team Aqua.
Particularly close to my heart, is the story. I’m sure a lot of you are quietly scoffing at the idea of a Pokemon Game having an engaging story. Especially a remake of Ruby and Sapphire whose main antagonists’ goals are famously “Expand the Land” and “Expand the Ocean” respectively. And if you’re one of those people who’s scoffing all I have to say is, go play Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (or any Pokemon game post Gen 3, really) or, if you’ve already played them, replay them and pay close attention.
If you do, you’ll get to experience the tale of a man whose given up on humanity to the point where he’s determined the only way to fix things is to start over. The story of a man whose dedication to humanity’s progress means he is willing to endanger the world to provide more land to live on and try to fix overpopulation. The woes of a man who had power and riches but is crushed beneath the burden of responsibility which he refuses to share or pass off to another, attempting to carry it all alone, even when he would rather be pursuing his true passion for geology. The tragic tale of a woman who was raised for one purpose, one sole reason to exist, but whose destiny ultimately passed her by. And many more.
When I first played it I didn’t quite absorb all this, being 10 years old, but now, many years later, the story and characters of this game impact me deeply. They influence the stories I tell, and the characters I write. I even write my own stories about them, continuing their character arcs or retelling their stories in my own way. So, yeah, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, the best Pokemon game, I’m not taking criticism.

I have to say Gen 7 probably would've become my all time favorite generation had USUM and Let's Go been proper sequels instead of just alternate retellings. Because there's a lot of untapped storytelling potential between Alola and Kanto (both separately and together as they are rather linked). Admittedly I'm not the hugest fan of the Aether family plot (which is moreso how it overshadows the native Alolans in their own home region), but I found it to be better in SM than USUM. And so it would've been nice USUM had just focused on the Necrozma plot with Lillie (after she returns from Kanto) and Gladion helping the Kahunas, Tapus and Trial Captains fend off Necrozma and using the Aether Foundation's research to help combat the threat. Then in the post-game do a little sidequest with Mohn and then have Lillie along with Gladion be one of the potential Title Defense matches to show how much she's grown since her original journey as well as having her at the Battle Tree as a multi battle partner. I feel like the Ultra Recon Squad was vastly underutilized in the USUM so by knocking out the Aether family story repeat (since it would be a sequel) they could have a more expanded role as they perhaps clash with the Kahuna's ideas for how to deal with Necrozma. I definitely want to see the Kahunas have more story importance and having them be at odds with the Ultra Recon Squad would definitely make both groups more relevant.
And with a sequel we could see how Alola has progressed in terms of it's burgeoning Pokemon League. It'd be cool to see some different trial captains running things (because although they give vague age ranges-I feel like Kiawe and Mina could've aged out of the trial captain role) and we could even see shifts in the Elite Four. It'd be cool to see say Plumeria and Guzma become Elite Four members and perhaps even have Hau as champion (because Hau deserves champion status). They could even show progress on the "Kantonian Gyms" where maybe some of the retired trial captains and elite four rotate on a daily basis with Ryuki to be the gym leader putting an Alolan on the gym tradition.
Then there's Let's GO which could've fit so well in between HGSS and before SM as a bit of a connection between Kanto and Alola. Like personally, I don't see anything bad about Chase/Elaine and Trace as characters but I feel they weren't used to the best of their abilities because they essentially retrace Red's story and Red and Blue's story...while still having Red and Blue (and Green) in the mix. The results being that pretty much none of the six get served by this except for Green (because it's her first time existing canonically so it's automatically a win) and Blue slightly (he's at least his own established character but I feel like the rewrite dampens the impact of his mentorship because part of what makes him such a good mentor in Masters is the knowledge that he was a little shit in the past but grew whereas Let's Go seems to almost retcon that entirely with no mention). It'd be nice to see an older Red, Blue and Green (or make her Leaf just because I like the FRLG canon) be Chase, Elaine and Trace's mentors while they embark on a whole new journey in Kanto with a new antagonist. Since a younger Mina is already present in Let's Go it'd be cool to slightly expand her plot more to give some more insight on the Alola Island Challenge which would tie in nicely to her debut in SM. It'd be cool to see Red, Blue and Green/Leaf reflect a bit on their journeys now that they're adults and see them pass on the torch in a proper fashion to Chase, Elaine and Trace. This could give rise to Trace perhaps taking up the Viridian Gym once Blue accepts the Battle Tree offer. I'd love for Green/Leaf to have more personality expanded upon both on her own and her dynamic with Red and Blue. Maybe get some insight from Blue (or Red himself) about how they finally got Red down from Mt. Silver and how they repaired their friendship. All the while giving Chase, Elaine and Trace their own type of dynamic and story that helps to further differentiate the New Kanto Trio from the OG Kanto Trio. Also once again with enough time passing it'd be cool to see how the gym and Elite Four lineups would've changed. I could potentially see say Brock and Misty going to the Elite Four replacing Koga and Bruno and then us getting new gym leaders to replace them. Since Sabrina begins to take up acting around BW2 maybe she also gets replaced by someone else as well.

no give me the essay i want to see it. take your time tho.
yes my liege as you command
CRACKS MY KNUCKLES so. i've always rlly liked him since 2012 when i played b2w2 for the first time but this Autism FixationTM on him only rlly started recently after i got rlly into the pokemon humans in general thanks to legends arceus and ingo. and already he's taken up so much of my brain space LMAo. i think his design is really solid, his battle music is great and really reflects his coldness and capabilities without being straight-up menacing like ghetsis's or something, i love that he just appears in an unrelated game (sun and moon) and just hangs out. i'm also just in general particularly weak for scientist/nerd type and fruity twink ass bitches to begin with. the perfect storm
THE BIGGEST reason why i like him though is like. in general the main reason why i love many characters Is just. analyzing them. picking them apart aspect by aspect. placing them under a microscope and studying them like a dissected frog in science class. psychoanalyzing fake pixel people is my favorite pastime ever ESPECIALLY when said fake pixel people are sort of fucked up and sick in the head (/pos)! Which he is. and i love that he is because that makes him so interesting to ponder like a wizard does his orb
he's like a puzzle to me. both games he shows up in he's not really explained at all. just shows up all mysterious and only vaguely hinting at anything relating to who he is or his past. all he explains is that he's a scientist and he's working to try to bring out 'the true potential of Pokemon' (without even really explaining what that exactly entails either). man just pops out of a fucking blown up hole in the wall of a sewer, mumbles to himself while waltzing out, and then goes "hey watch this" and uses his techno geek shit to move a bunch of stone crabs on a busy road and then battles you and then shittalks plasma when he loses. and that's how you meet him. no further explanation required. he proves himself as a very smart, capable man, powerful in battles and very determined to his goals but he explains no more about that. nothing at all
but what really gets me? he's the perfect center point between n and ghetsis from the first black and white. while he's technically an antagonist of b2w2, he's never really. antagonistic. the whole game he's polite and friendly to you, giving you advice/items and helping you even when it's revealed that he's spearheading team plasma now, he never once goes after or is rude to the protagonist or anyone besides ghetsis (which, fair.) unlike other villains like ghetsis or giovanni or even beloved fan favorites archie and maxie. who all sort of go "oh this stupid kid ur getting in my way Get out of here this weak ass child is being such a pain in the ass." he keeps himself very emotionally distant from the whole debacle and outside of the whole fight between team plasma and everyone else generally, and is only there because he knew ghetsis beforehand and he wanted to exhaust every option of his research before coming to a conclusion. he's not emotionally invested in team plasma at all (and actively disagrees with their message), nor does he really care what working with them and firing a Fucking Freezing Lazer at opelucid might do to the people who live there. his one and only care and focus is science and finding the absolute limit of what he wants to push and research. a powerful absolute neutral force, which is a complete dissonance to n and ghetsis from the first game, where n is a force trying to do absolute good but is misguided, whereas ghetsis acts like he cares about the world but is really manipulating everyone to do absolute evil and take over. he also is the exact opposite of n in some ways as well, being that where n in the first game wanted to release all pokemon believing pokemon and humans needed to be seperate; colress knows that pokemon and humans belong together and help each other to new heights. but then he. takes it MUCH further into extremes than the protagonist + others would generally agree with, which causes its own set of problems
his alternate depictions + USUM appearance also are extremely intriguing to me with this all considered. ESPECIALLY his pokemon adventures/SPECIAL depiction whoo boy he's fucking nasty in that manga. he's such a snarky manipulative cunning backstabbing little shit in pokespe that takes ACTIVE GLEE in freezing over most of unova. way more than just one city, IIRC the amount he says is about 70% of the entire region? kicking his little feet at his desk and giggling like a schoolgirl as he actively, purposefully causes mass destruction and death on an unimaginable scale. and it's so intriguing to think of what differences could have happened between game canon verse and pokespe verse that could have changed him that drastically. especially considering in USUM, he's generally doing a good thing? without really explaining why either. he's just strolling along behind you zapping the rainbow rocket executives back to their worlds, shittalks ghetsis, and then dips LMAO seemingly without any reason to be doing so. just because he can? to spite ghetsis even if it's not his ghetsis? it's the right thing to do? he admitted in b2w2 he didn't care if unova was destroyed with his inventions if it helped further science so if it was out of the goodness of his heart, what changed him from that to now? what would make such a powerfully and firmly neutral force turn to the side of active good or active evil when he previously showed no care of doing either? his goal is firmly science, and whatever he has to do to achieve said science--whether that's helping the protagonists, team plasma, aether foundation, he doesn't care who he helps or what he's doing as long as long as they can help him. so that intrigues me so much thinking about the exact experiences he'd need to go through to have that goal shift to doing active good OR active evil. he's so fascinating to me like a microbe in a petri dish and i will study him as such and fill in all the wonderful many blanks that game freak left for me
but yes tl;dr: man is so firmly neutral and mysterious yet his non-b2w2 depictions show he's capable of active good as well as horrid purposeful evil and it's so interesting to think of how he got there. or how he even got where he is in his introductory game. he explains nothing about himself and is a very perfect middle ground between the goals of n and the goals of ghetsis. he has a million mysteries that i want to investigate him. i want to put this stupid set of pixels in the shape of the internet explorer logo under a very large microscope and study him intimately. he's such an interesting addition to the cast of unova and presents his own very unique questions and ponderings with his character. also he's very pretty and handsome and a fruity fucking dork ass loser and i'm violently making out with him as we speak

PLOTTER / SHIPPER
taken from: my claude blog :) which was taken from a jcink pokemon rp’s shipper section
tagging: the person reading this
note: since i’m here, i’ll also link my fancy new about page with likes and dislikes and history
1. CONNECTIONS
write about how our muses could connect with each other! ex. what does your muse like to do that other people would be involved in? do they have interests that other people might share?
First off, I’ve added Lukas to the faculty roster list on the server. “An unaffiliated professor that focuses on the academic side of an officer’s education. Lukas offers classes and seminars on writing, speech, and other soft skills to provide a good foundation for new students. Would also be happy to demonstrate his skill with a lance. He has generous office hours and a biscuit jar that he invites students to indulge in when they visit. Participation is always 30% of your final grade.”
While Lukas is a Serious Red Knight, he is also Zofian and isn’t allergic to taking time out of his day to relax and take a break from work. If there is someone else that is chilling out, he’s likely to join them and ask to share their company. Could be a good way to set up a first meeting!
Loves books! After a childhood of being discouraged from reading for pleasure, Lukas will always seize the opportunity to discuss one of his current reads to someone that is interested. His favorite genres include horror, science fiction, certain types of romance novels, thrillers, and memoirs. Lukas also has some Valentian books in his possession, which he’s happy to share (as long as you return it).
2. PLATONIC
write about your muse and their concept of friendship. ex. how is your muse like with their friends? do they make friends easily or do they find it difficult to connect with others?
Lukas doesn’t have a hard time making friends! Per his ending:
His calm, intellectual mind won him many friends, and he never longed for companionship throughout the rest of his days.
I think at the surface level, Lukas is the kind of guy that’s fairly easy to get along with. He is honest, but tactful enough to avoid immediately alienating others. His steady, unflappable nature and reliability make it easy for others to turn to him when they need help. Lukas enjoys the satisfaction that comes from helping others and seeing them grow, which is a big part of why he wanted to pursue teaching.
Beyond that, however, Lukas thinks that a ‘true friend’ is someone that is willing to stand up for you and support you against an adversary. The last years he spent at home were rife with conflict with his brother, so Lukas is touched when others try to defend him. When he has faith in someone, he is more willing open up and let them in on what’s really troubling him, trusting that they won’t take advantage of his rare vulnerability.
3. ANTAGONISTIC
write about your muse and the conflicts they encounter with other people. ex. who are they on bad terms with? what kind of people do they not get along well with? how do they act around people they don’t like?
Don’t.
Ok but really, Lukas not liking you isn’t an immediate death sentence. He’s professional if nothing else, so he is willing to work with people that he might not normally like or get along with if they’re working towards the same goal.
Lukas dislikes those who look down on others in general, and he has a particular distaste for those who put others down in order to prop themselves up. Unfortunately there were a lot of those people around when he joined the Deliverance, immediately placing him in the line of fire. Lukas is of noble blood, but his family is a minor one of political consequences and he was essentially kicked out of the family by his brother. Whatever social clout he had back home had no meaning there, making him essentially no different from any other “backwater buffoon” or “bumpkin boy”. Lukas is protective of his pride and dignity as a person and doesn’t take well to personal insults. Like, at all.
Which... Lukas isn’t proud of. He’s not the best at communicating when he is angry or hurt, but at the same time he’s very uncomfortable with how angry he gets when he’s pushed to his limits. Lukas’ first instinct is to hold his tongue and try to put aside whatever frustration he’s feeling, which gets him by in the short term but takes its toll on him. Lukas is ashamed of this part of him, which makes him want to push down his anger instead of letting it out, and so the cycle continues.
4. ROMANTIC
write about your muse and their relationship with romance. ex. are they searching for love or not interested in it in the slightest? what’s their dating history like? how do they act around crushes? how would they treat their partner if they were in a relationship?
Lukas is not actively dating or really interested in pursuing anyone. His experience with courting Calla was very pleasant, but in reflection he was never became enamoured with her the way Clive and Mathilda, Alm and Celica, Forsyth and Python are with each other despite spending a lot of time with her. Lukas is capable of loving others but not inclined to be obsessively devoted to someone in that kind of way. Anyone that wants to be his partner would have to come to terms that his love isn’t one of passion lingering in every moment, but of very quiet affection.
Has had a crush on Clive at one point, which was dead in the water considering he was already taken. Lukas is over it now, but he will never let anyone know that happened. Ever. He’s taking that one to the grave.

munday meme (open)
7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.)
probably found family and antagonistic/rivalry. luckily, I think Kohga satisfies both lol
10. what genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)
I don't know if I really have a favorite? I just kind of flex my creativity in whatever direction interest me at the time.
14. which roleplay community has been your favorite to write in?
I'm in the pokemon fandom alongside this one and so far that's been my favorite. it still suffers from the usual issues that plague tumblr rp in general and it's own drama, but the drama is either HILARIOUSLY stupid or people leaving for several weeks just to come back, yell about how "toxic" everyone is and leaving again before anyone can ask them what the fuck they're even talking about. like 90% of it is too silly to get you down.
the people there are really nice and I've made a lot of good friends there.

5. Favorite trainer
Well, well, well, if it isn’t the question you knew the answer to already.
My absolute favorite trainer is my good merchant buddy Volo.
He’s one of the most nuanced characters I’ve ever seen come out of pokemon games, especially in recent years. Yes, he made some dumb decisions, but he’s so completely human. He laments the way the world is, the terrible things that happen, and he acknowledges that that probably happens to everyone. He was so tired before Arceus rubbed his loss in his face. When he talks about how troubled he’s been, asks about our dreams.
But no matter what else he may or may not have done, he loves his Togekiss, and I will stand by that with my whole heart. There’s a photo of the two of them in Jubilife Village. That photo was there before we came, and it has stayed there long after Volo left. There’s a lot more I could get into here, but, well, that’s a post for another time. Volo’s my favorite. ♡
(Side note— you know, if I had a nickel for every time gamefreak made a pokemon game where I ended up liking the long-haired male rival who teams up with a legendary dragon-type, asks you a question about dreams and then disappears, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird because it happened twice.)
6. Least favorite trainer
I am going with people FROM THE GAMES for this question because Ash is easy prey and I don’t care for the show in general— outside of the ever wonderful Team Rocket.
Shauna, from XY. XY had a really cool concept for a little friend group, even allowing you to give yourself a nickname from them. The execution was… less than stellar. Shauna felt sort of forced onto the player, at least to me. She annoyed me and I already didn’t want anything to do with her by the time you got to Parfum Palace, where she only irritated me more. The other members of the group, including your rival-proper, were more enjoyable, and felt more like they were friends with each other.
7. Favorite gym leader
There’s a loooot of really good ones I could use for this question, particularly some of the cool Unovan ones. There’s also Valerie, the Actual Moth from XY. But no. I have to go with Opal, Galar’s Fairy leader.
There’s nothing better than a spunky old lady who WILL catch you off guard and can move faster than you if she needs to. She was one of 5 characters in SwSh that I truly liked. Her help for Bede’s character arc was great, and frankly I don’t see nearly enough appreciation for this wild old fairy grandma. Opal’s awesome.
8. Least favorite gym leader
*walks on stage, taps mic* Whitney. *walks off stage*
9. Favorite e4 member
Gotta go with my buddy Grimsley! There’s nothing quite like having a gambler in your e4 with The Cool Uncle vibes. He really does seem like a chill guy, and I liked that he showed up in Alola, too. Runner up is Shauntal, purely bc her e4 chamber has the Most Vibes I have ever seen.
13. Favorite antagonist team
Team Plasma, hands down. The way that gen V handled the nuances of individuals within Plasma— characters you fight ONCE and never see again— was phenomenal, shown even further in BW2, when some of them changed their ways, and devoted themselves to fixing wrongs in the world. Others doubled down and stayed with Plasma, even after the truth was revealed. It was fascinating to see so much character put into the people of Unova, antagonist team nobodies included.
Plus they have an absolute banger of a battle theme.
14. Least favorite antagonist team
Does. Is Team Yell even considered an antagonistic team? They didn’t DO anything, they’re just bunch of hyped up fanboys (and girls) for you to get xp off of. SwSh made a lot of lousy decisions, as far as I’m concerned, and Team Yell was a big one.
21. Favorite legendary/mythical
Favorite legendary… well, for a long time it was Rayquaza, because Emerald was the first one I played, and therefore, Rayquaza was the first legendary I caught. Now, more correctly, I name Dawn Wings Necrozma (& more specifically its shiny version) as my favorite legendary. The colors are beautiful and it has SUCH a cute face. I’m delighted by it. (Special mention to Wo-Chien, because even though I haven’t played SV yet I LOVE that spooky grass snail, it’s got a cryptid feel to it that pokemon’s been kinda lacking.)
Favorite mythical… hmm, well, Shaymin is one of my favorite older ones, love a good hedgehog, but really I think this title is shared between Marshadow and Zeraora. I got so attached to Zeraora when it was released, and Marshadow is just a little toasty guy. I wish they had some lore attached to them, though.
22. Least favorite legendary/mythical
Hmmm… probably a draw between Enamorus and Palkia (and particularly Origin Palkia) for legendary. They’re just kinda ugly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As for mythical… there’s been several that I’m just kinda “meh” on, but… nah, y’know what, I’m gonna be petty on this one. Arceus itself, for crimes against me, Volo, and possibly Ingo. I was indifferent to Arceus before, but y’know what? I don’t like that space horse. It’s rude, and the only time it calls is to ask me to fight its gauntlet in my sleep.
65. Favorite pokemon movie
Alright it’s time to come clean, I’ve watched exactly 2 pokemon movies, 1 & 2 (the MewTwo and Lugia ones). Of the two, seeing as it’s been a while since I’ve watched either, PROBABLY the Lugia one. The music was so pretty.
66. Least favorite pokemon movie
So you would think by merit of having only watched two movies, that my least favorite should be the one I didn’t use for the last question. It’s not. It’s the one where Pikachu speaks. Like in English. (I do NOT mean Detective Pikachu, I would like to see that one someday. I mean the one with Pikachu speaking to Ash.) I saw the clip of it speaking, and decided then and there I would not be watching it.
74. Favorite Alolan version of a first-gen pokemon
Ooh, there’s a couple of these I like, but ohhh overall goes to the Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash line! I’ve had an affinity for that little dude since I first played Emerald :) The Alolan versions look really cool and smooth and that little igloo pangolin is going places!
75. A pokemon you think is overrated
The easy answer to this is Pikachu. I’m so tired of the yellow rat in the spotlight. I was utterly delighted when its cry was put back in PLA, where it was treated just like any other pokemon. It’s not even that I hate the thing, it’s the ridiculous oversaturation. Pokemon Center has released a lot of really cool things that would totally pique my interest— were they not slathered in Pikachu shapes.
Balloon Pikachu is pretty cute though.
76. A pokemon you think is underrated
Uhhh, well, I’m not entirely sure, but… I like Hoennian Linoone. I don’t see a lot about Linoone, but it’s a good little badger and you can teach it Surf, which gives me the WONDERFUL mental image of riding my little badger around in the water :). Also very memorable for me was fighting Norman’s Linoone in Emerald, cause that thing was a tank. Currently I have a couple of Hoennian Linoones, one from X named Azi, and a shiny one I found in the Max Lair in SwSh named Kabochai (Pumpkin Tea, for his lovely color)
…. I am so sorry this took so long to answer, hoogh, but it’s done, and I had a lot of fun with it!!
As always, feel free to send in more!

your oc tag intrigues me
can I have some fun facts about kade I see that name a lot and kade seems great
sorry am awkward
Don't worry, you don't seem awkward at all! ^_^ But oh my gosh, I'm going to apologize in advance, because seeing an ask about any of my ocs makes me really happy and I may or may not start rambling a bit. Bear with me here...
Fun facts about Kade:
He's a character from a roleplay between me and my friend
We actually both agreed that he's our favorite character
He's bi
Kade started out in 2015 as a slightly humorous antagonist who was supposed to show up for one plot arc and then disappear forever
We liked him too much, so we brought him back as a side character with a redemption arc
We then liked him SO much that he became a main character
(He was a diamond amongst the trash of our terrible old writing)
He was kinda toxic, kinda manipulative, but also so cringe and sexy, he captivated us
He's like 6'5"+. A beanpole
He's one of our most intelligent characters
I wouldn't say he's got low wisdom necessarily, but his sense of humor is really dumb
He laughs at his own jokes
The first thing he did after being introduced was unsuccessfully attempt to make the lives of everyone around him worse (he didn't have a clear motivation for this)
He loves his cool, scary wife so so much
He started out as a part of a gang, which was initially supposed to add to his ~villainous intimidation factor~ but he was so universally disliked by this gang that it was just kind of sad
He attempted to leave and somehow ended up in an infinitely worse situation (mafia-esque crime organization)
The first thing he did in this organization was form a codepedant relationship with the boss's equally touch-starved and closeted son (Nic)
Their relationship is healthier now, but for a while they both sucked so much. They enabled each others issues, and Kade loved to make Nic mad on purpose
He's polyam, and he's been collecting partners like pokemon cards
His partners have a groupchat that they didn't let him join
He was crushing on his cool, scary wife (Mian) for almost a decade, but she was his bestie and he didn't want to ruin that in case she didn't feel the same way (she did, but the whole time she thought that she just REALLY liked him as a friend)
Still unironically says "epic" (me too)
He had so many vices and issues <3 he still has so many issues
I'm pretty sure he questioned his gender at one point, and he came to the conclusion that he was still cis, but in an Ascended kind of way
He's in his 40s by this point
He has kids, he's genuinely really sweet with them (also collects them like pokemon cards; most of them are adopted. He's not the step dad, he's the dad that stepped up)
Deals with gut-wrenching trauma :(
He almost caused a divorce because a bromance with one of his best friends (Tsubasa) got a little bit too gay
"He has a very punchable face," - a comment I once got on a drawing of him vaping
He has his stupid spiked collar insured
Ate a cigarette more than once
I think we canonized him being autistic shortly after I realized I was autistic, because too many things made a LOT of sense retrospectively
During his wedding vows, he asked the audience to give him a "hell yeah."
I imagine that he smells very subtly like weed and drugstore cologne
He went through a lot of personal growth. Had some issues with toxic masculinity, now he respects women soooo much
He has a special interest in horror films/shows/books/etc. He also just likes film in general
His other thing is math, and all of his partners hate it
I just think he's really neat :)
That's all I can think of off the top of my head rn 💀 but thank you again so much for asking!

1, 13, 17, 27, 57? (poked mon lol)
1: favorite type
probably ground? i think there's a lot of fun unique pokemon in there and some of my faves are at least part ground! also a big fan of bug types, but not for battling haha they're too frail
13: favorite antagonist team
this is hard bc i like a lot of them for different reasons? team plasma's theme def fucks the hardest, but i didn't play those games as much. i have a soft spot for team magma (big fan of gen 3) and i LOVE their outfits...i also want to shove maxie in a locker. and their redesigns in OR are so super good...tabitha and courtney are so fun
17: 3 favorite pokemon
WOOPER. SNEASEL. FLYGON. SEND TWEET.
27: overall favorite generation of pokemon
gen 3, hands down. it's definitely a nostalgia thing, i can admit, but the replayability on those games is SO high and they're always so fun. fun characters, fun pokemon, and ORAS was absolutely fantastic. s tier remakes, they did them PERFECTLY. i think aesthetically, pokemon peaked in ORAS. also fun new things in gen 3: the addition of abilities and natures added a whole new level of gameplay and made things so much more interesting. also planting berries....so fucking fun. AND BATTLE FRONTIER AAAHHH! i'm currently doing two simultaneous nuzlocke runs through emerald and one in fire red. gen 3's games are just so much fun, i love them dearly
57. favorite dark type
sneasel aside....hydreigon is so fucking awesome. love that bitch. just a really neat unique design and I Am Not Immune to dragons. scrafty also rules, super fun pkmn (i also have an affinity for fighting types!)

AAAND MORE UM UMM 13, 27, 28, 37, 48, and 59 !!
13. favorite antagonist team team plasma :D KILLER theme and also they had a fucking castle. that's awesome. i DO love team skull though for just being like annoying thugs and not OoooOOooh were gonna take over and destroy the world!!!
27. overall favorite generation of pokemon gen 5 i think. gen 7 is a VERY CLOSE SECOND but unforch usum i think drags gen 7 down a bit whereas both bw and b2w2 are really really good. also gen 5 has the nostalgia benefit by virtue of being my first mainline gen so...
28. overall least favorite generation of pokemon gen 8 im sorry girl but good god. good god
37. favorite flying type ok this one i cant really stick to just primary types since flying is almost always a secondary type BUT ! i think i'd say crobat?
48. least favorite rock type coalossal i fucking hate that thing. rolycoly is CUTE carkol is so stupid it's funny but coalossal is just firetype rhyperior with somehow even WEIRDER proportions. and it's BORING. and i hate it
59. favorite psychic type REUNICLUS!!! I LOVE THAT LITTLE JELLY GUY!!!!!!!!!!

13, 20, 27 for the pokemon asks!
13. Favorite Antagonist Team
Skull doesn't count in my heart, so I'm gonna have to go with Galactic! if only for the spacey look
20. Least Favorite Pokemon Game
Assuming main series...I think there are games with more objective flaws but Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon is consistently the least fun one to replay. They cranked up the difficulty so unnecessarily hard, and switched the overbearing but good plot of SM for the overbearing but...not good and messily edited plot of its own
27. Overall least favorite generation of pokemon
It's probably because i got into pokemon after it was already over, but gen 2? GSC are next to usum in games where i'd rather just play another version of the same region

My unpopular opinion (pokemon)
I prefer 3d over 2d style: I'm being honest I likes more the 3d pokemon than 2d after I likes both but I am tired to hear "oh no they take away it's soul booooh" no stop. they're the same pokemon with softer colors nothing less nothing more end of story
I hate 4g and 6g: seriously why they are praised ? If it's nostalgia I understand but these gens have nothing oh pardon me 6g has mega evolution "sarcastic wow" 4g is a copy paste of the 3 first generation and 6g has nothing special it's terribly basic their antagonist are the worse.I can't believe people actually preferred this bland gen over 5g that was way more worthy than these two fraud
It's not only about pokemon but: a game with bad graphism isn't a Bad game. So I don't say for every games with bad graphism. But I have enough that people says "bla bla bad graphism = bad game" no because opposites exist a game with good graphism isn't a good game Stop pretend opposite . I understand for the case of scarlet/violet that is also buggy but the game has it's quality that NO ONE want to admit like it's scenario that is one of best after black and white. But yet yes I would liked that GF take more time for the game to look prettier and less buggy because there had only 10 month between legends arceus and scarlet/violet
I think the hates on somes pokemon is just stupid: example popplio what did this pokemonn did to you ? do you remember of all hate art people did on popplio seriously I never understood why people hated that pokemon so much if you dislike a pokemon okay but you don't need to do hate post about it. like i don't likes gardevoir yet I wouldn't do a hate art about it
I think we should stop with the "bring back national dex" thing: I understand that frustrating you to not play all your favorite pokemon but seriously you're just doing a tantrums over nothing can't you just enjoy a game without bring it back ? I think you can but you don't want
I actually like enamorus: so I understand why people dislikes her. She appear a bit from nowhere and she's not the prettiest pokemon but it's like popplio her hates is stupid. Again What that pokemon did to you ? . I think it's a bit exaggerated...
The elemental monkey are not bad: they are hated for what ?. used for gym leader then left in pc ? No i don't imagine my party without any of them and to me the pre evo are adorable and their evos is cool like any pokemon if you training them well they can be good pokemon

7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.)
10. what genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)
12. what roleplay trends do you remember from the year you started tumblr rp? how did you feel about those trends?
7 — Platonic soulmates. I mean I'm a sucker for a ton of romantic plots ( I'm generally a huge shipper in all my RP / fic / personal writing ) because I find them extremely fun to develop, but platonic soulmates, man. When you have a best friend who is just on the same wavelength. Mirrors of each other. Able to read each other in a second. No romantic tension whatsoever. I honestly blame the Inheritance books and CR for this but I just love it so much. And of course found family, but I feel like that's a bonus to a platonic soulmate bond.
10 — Fantasy!! D&D, fantasy novels, all of that. Medieval era things. I'm waving my hand vaguely in Wikstrom’s direction as I say this. I guess you could lump in any vaguely historical feeling setting, but you've got to add in some sort of fantastical flavor for me to get really hooked.
12 — It's been so long, god, I can't remember the exact year. Maybe 2011? I know I was still in high school when I first started rping on Tumblr specifically. ( Back during my assassin's creed days…….. ) I remember there being magic anons, which I'm kind of glad have fallen out of fashion — kind of sucked to either get told to do things ( and getting rude anons when you ignored / refused a prompt ) or to be the only one left out of a trend.
What I do really miss are art-based ask blogs. Can we bring those back, those were fun, I made so many friends through those. Back when I first started they were basically hand-in-hand with roleplay blogs — people used them as both. I started out by interacting with a very specific assassin's creed ask blog from my personal, which got me started on one myself eventually! I get why people started to separate them, but I think it was genuinely charming to let everyone ( personals, rp blogs, other ask blogs ) participate. I feel like the loss of that kind of added to a loss of a community feeling in some spaces?
To be fair, when I first started in the Pokemon rpc ( around 2013, XY era ), at least in my circle, anons and personals were encouraged to interact. With some boundaries of course! 99% of us wouldn't roleplay with a personal blog, but we'd answer asks and, honestly, it encouraged a lot of plot progression. You wouldn't believe how much my Lysandre’s main plot benefited from random people barging in and bothering him about his personal life.
Now that there's such a hard line between rp and personals, it feels like there's some loss of that? I know people don't want to have their blogs treated as fics, but… I dunno. I kind of liked it. I made a lot of friends in that manner, and we'd have cards against humanity nights with the non-rpers, everyone laughing at all of our in-universe jokes together. We had Skype groups and got fanart and lots of fun anons pretending to be bystanders and reporters and whatnot. I miss it.
ANYWAY. This got rambly. Can you tell I've been around for a while.
