Omega Max serving to protect the princess and he takes it very seriously. He’s had to fight tooth and nail for his position and he refuses to acknowledge his vulnerability as an omega knight. He’s not really bothered by Charles and all her frilly clothing. He’s here to do a job. It’s only when they get stranded in enemy territory that he falters slightly. He’s on a high dosage of scent blockers but he’s supposed to keep dosing but the medication is with the horse. Charles begins to smell Max’s scent and the tinge of fear. Maybe they get attacked? And Max manages to hold them off for a while to get Charles to make an escape but there’s just too many alphas there. Charles smells a very intense scent of fear when one of the alphas get their nails into Max’s scent gland. Max manages to get away and stab the alpha and when they’re finally back to safety Max collapses. His heat has been triggered by the alpha and the fear of being taken advantage of is making it worse. Charles’ scent is starting to come out too and Max is both scared and comforted. Charles takes pity on Max, she sees the slick coating Max’s legs and tries to give him some relief without really touching him. She was scared for their safety too but it only hits her then how much danger Max willingly put himself in to keep her safe. She gently touches the ugly scratch marks that covers his mating gland.

When Max comes back up he’s very embarrassed and tries to ignore the whole situation. He hates feeling weak and vulnerable. He doesn’t want Charles questioning if he can do his job. Charles doesn’t bring it up again but he does quietly ask for emergency heat suppressants that she can carry with him. Just in case Max is in danger again. She would never forgive herself if Max was taken advantage of while trying to protect her. She also has the knight clothing changed so omega knights’ mating glands are covered by a piece of metal

Omega max having worked so hard to make it to knighthood! There were plenty of people unsure of it but he was lucky Dan believed in him and took him under his wing. Max was hoping to be guard to the king and is a little miffed when he is told to accompany Charles to some party. He will ofcourse protect the princess with his life, that is his duty, but he isnt sure what to think of her.

Charles wearing a frilly dress that looks gorgeous on her and maybr a tiny part of max is jealous, but he isnt there to care about it and just bows deeply for her and helps her into the carriage. Charles is a little curious about the Omega but Max is gone before she can ask his name.

The group getting attacked and Max, whose horse is the strongest, is told to grab the princess and flee and so he does. But the horse spooks and they are alone, without supplies now and Max is very tense because this is super high stakes, he has a princess to protect!

They are attacked again and Max fights fiercely and also Charles is no damsel in distress! Max tells Charles to run but she can't possibly leave him when she smells the terror in his scent as onr of the attackers digs his nails into the mating gland. They win and flee a little further but Max is struggling and Charles can smell he is going into stress heat...

Charles shushing him softly and letting him grind on her thigh while softly kissing the ugly scratch over the mating mark, letting Max take what he needs! She goes to get him some water when he calmed and when hs3 returns, Max is tense and doesn't want to look at her, hate how vulnerable he feels but Charles just gently smiles and whispers they can keep each others secret, because she is aware Max must know she is an Alpha now...

Charles having the uniforms changed to protect her knights better and protect their mating glands🥺 Max is very grateful for it!

Also a few weeks later Max going into hest in the safety of the castle, tucked away in a safe room with general Dan set to take care of him because Max trusts him. Dan sure is surprised when a very frantic and growly princess shows up and demands to see Max! Dan let's her in and instantly Max is focused on her and asking for her, chanting 'Alpha Alpha!' And Dan just quietly leaves...

idk it's not any One thing i can point to but a series of things that, combined, make me feel icky about him. i think it started with his complete disregard and insensitivity re: covid. then it was his handling of the black lives matter during his involvement with that cop movie. then it was hs3 not doing Anything for me so there wasn't even like an interest in the artistic aspect of things. then it was Pleasing and how obviously and obnoxiously it rips people off. then like... idk. i forgot the sequence in which these things happened bc it was all in a relatively short period of time but theeee biggest red line for me (after i'd already been emotionally distanced) was when he caught a palestinian flag on stage and threw it away. like. it does not get any more obvious than that. his politics before that moment had been shaky at best and i'd lent him a lot of grace but im in my mid 20s now and that man is Too Old now to not know better. and i know his family doesn't speak for him but they Are zionists and a lot of his close friends are zionists and he has a history of publicly sympathizing with israel while ignoring palestine so u know. i dont fuck with that 🤷🏽‍♀️ this would've been the perfect time for him to show his beliefs are different from his friends' and family's bc saying ur against the brutal murdering of children is the easiest thing to do but. well that has not happened.

I really couldn't care less about his music now, HS3 was such a turnoff. I think it will be just like this last album: below mediocre pop

he has no style to trace all of his songs are reflections of his co writers. happily with savan kotecha could easily be on tmh if the instrumental was changed, olivia witw and stockholm sound distinctly like julian/john tracks, we all know louis was the only one holding a pen when perfect was written. you can also easily track the difference in sound between his first, second and third album by seeing which co-writers he had and which of them slowly left leaving only kid harpoon. one of the main complaints that critics had about walls was that it sounded too similar to 1d songs and although to some extent i wish he didn’t try to cater to what he thought fans would want, they sounded like 1d songs because louis was the one writing those songs in 1d. lt2 will sound different but it’s a natural development and he’ll never lose what makes his songs distinctly his because he’s an actual songwriter with an actual style

A friend sent me these thoughts - and I can’t judge as I’ve not heard any of the songs on HS3 except As It Was and 16 bars of Music for a Sushi Restaurant, but I thought it was pretty accurate:

Harry’s process: Harry talks about other artists he likes and would like to sound like. Then Kid and Tyler write the melodies. Harry sits in the room with them, throws out concepts and ideas for lyrics, and they use some of the word salad we got from HH because let’s face it, HH is navel-gazing, solipsistic, all about Harry himself and his feelings about the Artist Harry Styles’ life during the pandemic, and has absolutely nothing to do with universal messages or connecting with other human beings including his fans, or the difficulties other people faced during the pandemic. HH is about his road trip, his girlfriends, sex, cute drug use, quirky nonsensical stuff bc it’s whimsical and meaningless lessons from his pandemic experience. Then Kid and Tyler add stuff, they all participate in the production, and Harry turns a few knobs for his album booklet photos.

Fwiw I get zero Louis vibes from HH. The only song with lyrics plausibly relating to him (and England) is LOML. Other than that, none of the lyrics relate in any way, shape or form to Louis. They are about other lovers, Olivia, Kid’s wife, imaginary girlfriends for a concept - I don’t know or care but there is zero Louis in there.

Harry can’t read music, can’t really play instruments, can’t talk about the songwriting process except as cute anecdotes about himself. He can’t sing or act very well. So why the hype? Your point about Walls having One Direction’s sound is well taken. Louis was the architect for those 1D hit songs. This review written for Walls now fits Harry’s House better (with minor edits):

You have to hand it to the former One Direction member: It’s not easy to make pop songs this forgettable. Listeners may feel like goldfish. Every time they spin the record, they’ll encounter the same bland dozen songs for what seems like the first time. Hey, did you know Harry Styles dropped an album? “Harry’s House” is just there, unoffensive and uneventful. He’s made the perfect soundtrack for sock shopping at the Gap. Styles has an appealing voice and a hand in writing every song, but this is an album your mother will likely like a lot more than you. Or your grandmother. Or maybe Niall’s ‘going hard’ on promo because this is how artists kind of have to promote themselves nowadays. Magazine articles and radio interviews are nice, but to me those are more traditional methods of album promotion - they’re the baseline and you leap off in different directions from there, and one of those directions is artist-centred short-form video content that enables fans to feel as though they’re conversing with the artist directly. Not to make comparisons but with my marketing hat on for a second: Harry doesn’t do this because, frankly, he doesn’t need to. He’s a brand in and of himself. Louis doesn’t do this for reasons I’m not sure of (perhaps he feels it’s too mainstream / not cool / hates technology) but in my opinion he missed a trick here in terms of fitf promo. As you said, look at Lewis Capaldi; the talking to camera promo he’s done has been so important to his success, and others’. In a world where short-form video content (TikTok) is a key part of a marketing campaign, it’s so important to get this right and creating ‘authentic’ content for these channels is the right approach. Polished, heavily-edited videos that sit semi-comfortably on Reels just doesn’t work on TikTok. Authentic talking to camera content works even better for Reels. I say this as a social media manager, for context. I think Niall’s doing a great job in promotion his album in a way that feels authentic.

Firstly, I was maybe a bit too implicit with what I was saying in my post, hard agree on the promotion angle.

I think that when you look at Niall, Harry and Louis they and their teams are making different promo choices, sometimes as fans it’s hard to see what they’re aiming for until it’s been successful, or not.

I don’t think the difference in choices shows that Harry didn’t need to do promo or didn’t do much in the way of social media, I actually think he did a great deal of it, just that there was both a bigger budget, a different target and format. There was a very concentrated TikTok/social media promo presence for Harry before and during launch of HS3 - it was just different to what Niall/Lewis are doing atm.

I’m very keen on folk being able to draw lines in what work they will and won’t do and if Louis isn’t doing the kind of social media promo you depict because he doesn’t want to I’m so here for it.

I would also say on this one part of your ask that I think it’s important to remember that as fans we don’t have a full deck of cards here and that promo teams have access to much more information than we do. On top of that, social media is a fickle beast and I think you’re right about authenticity although I’m not really keen on framing it that way - predicting what will be a hit on TikTok and what won’t is very hard and I think we’re seeing a fair bit of evidence that viral songs on TikTok are both hard to manufacture and not necessarily worth the effort.

With Harry working the way he is, I think it does affect quality of his songs. I know his co-writers help him but I don’t think the second and third album were as strong or good musically or lyrically as HS1. I liked some songs but not as many, and that’s a personal preference so I’m sure for some people it’s his best but I just didn’t connect lyrically to more of those songs. And I think his voice hasn’t been sounding as good live throughout the whole show, maybe because of the over-working. Also, all those comparisons with other songs, where they sound very similar. That can happen anyway because there are only so many chords but I do think the quick turnaround of Harry’s music considering what else he does doesn’t help that. And people are talking about Harry’s acting now. It was just a single clip so we don’t know and you can’t judge a whole movie of acting on one clip, but people are now again talking about how singers don’t have to train in acting to get roles and how that’s not fair to actors who have worked for years to learn the art of acting and to improve their skills. And with this tour? I don’t think Harry is doing himself any favours. What do you think his aim is? Is it to make just more and more money? Is it because he doesn’t know how to slow down? Is it because he wants to be considered the best?

I actually agree. Part of it is personal preference, but I thought that HS1 was much stronger lyrically than HS2 and HS3. I also think his songs were better when he was staying more comfortably within his range instead of doing falsetto all the time, which he isn’t able to maintain as much live so he has to change the songs for the live performances. I do think that despite some of the things Harry says when he’s promoting his album, it is clear that they’re aiming to write things for radio and for TikTok trends and for hits. And I do think it affects the quality of the music and especially how genuine the lyrics are.

I think Harry’s a workaholic and I don’t think he knows how to slow down. I also think he’s surrounded by yes-men “friends” who make money off him and are never, ever going to actually say no to him, tell him to take a break, or tell him when something’s not up to a high level of quality. He has a fanbase that will buy and eat up anything he does, so they don’t care because they just want more money and more success and more fame.

He hasn’t taken a real break since he went solo and I think that’s a combination of his workaholic tendencies and him having a team (which is also all of his friends, pretty much) that doesn’t care about long-term sustainability because they only care about current profits. This has been his schedule:

And maybe it’ll pay off, but I also think we’re missing out on a level of quality from Harry’s music and likely acting as well that we would get if he took proper breaks and stopped caring so much about being at the top of the charts and being famous.

So, HS3/ Harry’s House dropped recently and I thought that they would give my opinion on hearing the song for the first time.

Music for a sushi restaurant- Giving me like Japanese electro vibe if they makes sense. He’s literally ordering food in the beginning. I love the build up they happens around one minute. I thought that the lyrics was a bit weird but over all it is good. The ending sounds like you’re going to get stung by a bee. Originally I gave the song a 6/10 since it was the first but after hearing the other song I thought that it vas similar to some of them so I listened to it again and re scored it. 7/10

Late night talking- I already know that this will be one of my favorites from hearing it on Coachella. Like the lyrics, it is very clear what he is singing in different from Music for a sushi restaurant. Not quite as good recorded as live I think it is missing that fun thing. But not thinking about Coachella it is great and I love the “Can’t get you of my mind”. 8/10

Grape juice- The count down in the beginning. I can already imagine the crowd screaming it when it is preformed live. I thought it was kinda hard to hear the lyrics the first time around so I listened to it again after listening to every other song, at I liked it more. Love the chorus. Liked it more than I thought I would. 8/10

As it was- I listened to it when it originally dropped and I really like it. I like the best and the mood of it even if the lyrics is kinda sad. 7/10

Daylight- Love the intro (before he starts singing). The lyrics is making me sad, I love the background but the lyrics is just so sad. Love how he sings blue bird. 7/10

Little freak- I thought that it would give médecin vibes but it didn’t so kinda disappointing since I love médecin. But it’s really good. The lyrics is making me emotional. Before we knew anything about the album I thought that it would be a black and green rock album but it’s not so when I read Little freak on the list I thought that that would give us the vibe but it didn’t and it’s a pleasant suprise. Didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. Definitely didn’t think that I would like any of the song more that Late night talking but. 9/10

Matilda- (So apparently you’re supposed to cry listening to this. Let’s see.) So, all the rumors are true. Not even one minute in and I’m already crying. I have nothing to say about it, it’s ducking great. 9/10

Cinema- Happier vibe than I expect. Not thinking about the lyrics it kinda gives me Sunflower vol.6 vibes? Back to the lyrics I love the chorus it really catchy and it will definitely be on my mind, same with the beat of the song. The ending, the screaming. Harold! 8/10

Daydreaming- Why are the song that I think something about before listening the compleat opposite of what I originally thought. Not my favorite but I don’t have anything bad to say about it. I do love the high Living in a daydream that Harry dose in the background. 7/10

Keep driving- I like the beginning and the beat of it. But the chorus is a bit underwhelming from the rest of the song, I expected a beat drop and then a great chorus. So kinda brings the rest of the song. But I love the rest. 8/10

Satellite- As myself seing the title of the song I can only think about two things, Ted Gärdestad and Lena. Anyway, the intro is giving me space vibes if that make sense. The best drop after he sings satellite is what I expect from keep driving. Love the “I go round and round, satellite”. 9/10

Boyfriends- So once again heard it at Coachella and it was a bit underwhelming. But it is better recorded. Still not my favorite but I do love it. I am crying to it tho. 9,5/10

Love of my life- Back in the days when we only knew that it was 13 songs befor we knew the names I claimed track 13. But if you did to then I guess we can shear. ITS THE YOU ARE HOME SOUND. IM AMAZING AT CLAIMING THINGS. I’m crying it’s so good. The kinda high note when I pull out Life around 1:32. He put the outro in 28 seconds. 100/10

The titles of HS3 adds up to 28. Harry went as far a combining the word grape juice into grapejuice so it all added up to 28.

Harry used the word LOVE 28 times in his album.

Do you think that's marketing or a coincidence? Because that's on harrys body of work for life. It's not a promo tweet like summon the sun and everyone freaks out about louis for a couple of days. I've seen the marketing discussion going around to other blogs and it's just dismissive to say that everything "larry" they do is pr or a mere coincidence. When Louis wore the red pants with the papillon butterfly on valentines day, that's a nod to harry. I don't think it was even meant for larries but because we're so up in their private business, we make it about ourselves. If they were truly a secret closeted couple where no one knew about them, I still believe he would have worn the pants. But I understand this is just me and how I interpret the situation, I know it's not fact. But Harry using love 28 times is. So I just think not everything they do can be boiled down to larries reaching and making something about larry when it's not.

I'm going to talk through how I look through these things, it may help or it may not.

First of all given the sorts of things you are thinking about - I would rule out marketing. Marketing and PR people on Harry and Louis' teams will be aware of and think of Larries, but they care about what we do, not the stories we tell. They're not going to (and don't need to) micromanage the stories we tell.

I think it's really important to understand that the fact that Harry uses the word 'love' 28 times on his album absolutely could be a coincidence.

When assessing how likely something is to be a coincidence it's useful to think about the logistics of making it happen. I can't figure out how this could happen deliberately, because it would mean thinking of something other than 'what would make the best album' when choosing which songs to include. Is he really going to Daydreaming over a better song that only uses the word 'Love' nine times?

Compared to what it would mean or Harry to prioritise the number of times 'love' was used in his album, it's very easy for numerology to be coincidence. There are so many things to count and add and they all have to come up with some number. It's very easy to end up finding a number that means something to you if you try enough things.

If it was Taylor, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand, because I know Taylor is into numerology. We've never seen any indication that Harry pays attention to these things. So there's no reason to think it's deliberate.

It's not impossible that it was deliberate, or at least noticed, but I think it's far more likely that it's a coincidence. And allowing that coincidences happen and not everything has meaning is really important to understanding the world.

As for the clothes, I'm much more uncertain about that. There's no reason it can't be intentional. Like you I think if it was intentional it would have been Louis expressing himself, as opposed to communicating specifically to fans. But if he was wearing that outfit for expressive reasons - the movie Papillion could mean something very different to him than it does to fans. We can't know.

We don't know what things mean for them, and it's very easy for things that seem meaningful to fans to be a coincidence, or to have a completely different meaning for Harry and Louis (there is a lot going on in their life that we have no idea about, as we've learned again and again).

Like I've said I think they are together and things that make it seem more likely. But I just absolutely reject treating the world like a puzzle to be decoded. It's absolutely not the case that if you count the right things as a prize you get the reality of Harry and Louis' relationship revealed. Instead they're just people, trying to live their lives, and keep a lot hidden from very invasive fans.
