And... that's it! Kabukimono's "The Puppet's Lessons" series is over! Phew, that was a long journey. A total of 20.7k words and 49 pages on my Google Docs. June 6 to November 3rd... wow i am a slow writer 😍 He's very thankful for all the things you've taught him! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did, it was a pleasure to write. Seeing all of your comments and reblogs made me incredibly happy, i am overjoyed you all loved it that much, it was all worth it ❤️ (Also is this a sign for me to start writing angst more?? I'm genuinely blown away by how much comments the last few lessons got, like shit y'all want me to make you sad?? 😭)

Though, I hope I didn't focus too much on other characters outside of Scara and you. I just find writing about how other characters view you a very interesting and fun thing to do. Specifically Traveler lol. And Nahida, with Scara’s and Dottore’s partner. Scara because you’re dating her nephew… she gotta know you! Dottore because even though she wouldn’t like either of you, she can’t help but want to study you since it’s fascinating to her that someone has the capacity to love Dottore and that Dottore has the capacity to genuinely love. Ei and Yae's thoughts on you would also be interesting. And i hope it didn't get too lore-ish? I'm not sure if people find incorporating lore boring but yea lmao.

And now that the Kabukimono series is over, I kind of want to start a new one. Initially I was thinking of a single drabble thingy regarding the message of “Dottore knows he’s a monster but when he’s with you, he feels more human than he wants to admit” and I was like, that can apply to all of them, so maybe I can make the series of them realizing you’re the reason why they have some ounces of humanity left. I don't actually know what I would write but it's something 😅

I've also contemplated doing a series with Akademiya Zandik but i have no new ideas and I've talked about him way too much lmao. He's in time out for a bit. If you have potential series ideas for one character or all the harbingers I’d love to hear them 😊 (please give me ideas. 😛😛)

Now, I return back to my Dottore fic (which is now 16k+ words, with no end in sight <3) (Also, if you thought the Kabukimono series was sad, wait until you read the ending of this fic, hahahahahaha- the urge to drop the snippet is so much but i can't spoil this. nope. I also will have to end up splitting the fic into parts though because i know no one is gonna sit here and read through all of that.)

Also i sincerely apologize for not answering asks for a while, I'm just trying to make time for my college assignments, my job, personal life, and also finding time to write actual fics too sooo I'm really sorry 😭(This got way too long.)

do you read a lot of fanfiction from other fandoms?

yeah!! I have pretty Specific interests lol that 5sos fic doesn't usually fulfill (for obvious reasons bc it's rpf) so I usually go to read Supernatural fic or Marvel (stucky <3) fic!! I love Finnick-centric Hunger Games fics but they are pretty rare. I also read fic for pretty much any media I consume tbh!! So I read a lot of Community fic when I watched it over Christmas break. I love Batman fic too omg !! Anything with Bat Family is so sweet <3 And White Collar fic and Prison Break fic are pretty good too. If I've watched the show/movie or read the book, I've definitely read fic about it lmao.

my tourettic eddie manifesto got briefly waylaid by the appeal of a fic where steve also winds up with a tic disorder after his season 3 gift of yet Another concussion and im finding it fascinating to think about how TS is like, as much as finding a community sounds nice I think it would actually be such a fucking pain in the ass lmao

Shoto Todoroki is most definitely, 150% certified vanilla!!! I honestly don't think he could be mean in bed even if you BEGGED him to be. Sex w/ him is always gentle, intimate, and passionate... even when things are fast paced or he's meant to be domming. Given his rough childhood... I just don't think he has it in him to be wild when he could be soft, nor does he like tampering with vulnerability.

Shinso, as well. FDA approved. Sure, he can be absolutely ferocious in bed when he wants to be... but never, NEVER, is it anything but sweetness. All pleasure, always pleasure... can i be borderline controversial and say that i do think there's a correlation between the love and adoration for the other kings, Leviathan's brutal honesty about grey-morality and involvement in war when you know him as Leviathan, and his lack of worshipers here under that name. the controversial part being that the other kings seem way more into propaganda flourishing and part of why i say that is because ive known both of them and they fucking do that oops hashtag UPG (PVG) spilled outta my pockets there

ie its always people who work for the other kings i see so caught up in how loving and pure the kings and ''demons'' are, and you COULD say that's just because Lev doesn't have many worshipers under that name but I think its more so because when you know "Leviathan" uhhhhh. like you could say lack of lev worshipers = lack of lev propaganda but i think its more so lev isnt going to pretend to be a beautiful siren man in a suit who tells you he loves you so so much even tho he just met you two seconds ago

thinking about the way DE portrays ppl and struggling to...elaborate on why I don't really think any of the depictions are. "problematic" even if they often play with stereotypes and...like it's a game that easily baits you into making assumptions about people I think because it tries to deconstruct "where there's smoke there's fire" wrt stereotypes in saying that it is true but also not true in the way you believe or in a way that is convenient to you. and of course you'll get people who don't catch onto that and read the characters in pure self-service and use the very presence of stereotypical depictions and ability to participate in them as confirmation for their worldview but.

i.e. it came up with a friend asking what I thought of klaasje and how they handled the fact that you initially believe she was raped & then the game later reveals that she wasn't and it was part of a coverup...like on the surface that sounds like just another "women lie about rape"/"there's always something suspect to a rape accusation" thing but if you play the game, could you really say that unless you were really trying to read it in bad faith? Klaasje...

was not the one who added the element of there being a rape. she KNOWS her relationship with lely was iffy and every time they had sex was while high out of their minds which is why consent is. lol odd zone but she chooses not to call it coerced and doesn't believe that it was for the most part. whether this is the right or wrong thing to do is not really the point (it's not good for sure, and they both do it largely out of self-harm) but rather that this is how she chooses to see it because she's a person with reasons for doing what she does, like everyone else caught in the landscape of revachol. she wasn't afraid of him, she felt a connection to him, and even says in one of her dialogue trees that she, if given the same privileges as a dude, might have taken the same path as him. her character is another person whose circumstances were a result of moralintern rule

there's a huge component of her character where the hardie boys choose specifically to use rape as her coverup story and that's what causes a crack in their story & coordination. because of the fact that titus is attracted to her, and is a huge misogynst, and needs to see her as a helpless >rape< victim (SPECIFICALLY because he is attracted to her and is obsessed with her "womanhood") he has to help out. SHE as a person took advantage of the fact that she was nothing to them (and she deliberately made herself to be "nobody" in revachol, nobody with a concrete existence) to have them take the fall...but because of the fact she was scared of her old employers and had nowhere else to go. So it's like, why not use these people who think of her that way? (And, well, Titus actually did genuinely want to look out for her, and you could argue that her assessment that they think of her as nothing but A Woman [object of role] is only something that started mattering to her when she got into some shit, and that she had caused a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy wrt who she believed they were...but well, was she wrong?)

With all this in mind, the very idea of like...thinking that this story could be pandering to those who want confirmation and validation that Rape Doesn't Actually Happen and Women Lie seems so... irrelevant I guess? If they did bypass invoking the idea at all, if she HAD actually been raped, just to confirm the worldview that well this shit happens all the time, it's far more plausible than not (true), they could not have written the same character, the character meant to be a part of the larger question of "how do these systems affect the people that live in them?". There couldn't have been that spot of complication with the hardie boys' account, and there couldn't have been a way to break their story, and there wouldn't be an easy "made up" motive for them to use. She does lie, she lies a lot, but not about rape, and whenever she lies, it's for a really good reason. The rape as a coverup is deliberate, but NOT for the reasons that the reader might assume.

And the story does acknowledge that....yknow, lely and his little murder gang are rapists, that they have participated in mass rape and brag about it (klaasje doesn't believe this because well, she's lol. ok white woman syndrome she's never felt THREATENED by lely because she's an oranjese woman and they're each other's "own" & she considers it just him being a macho buffoon while she considers their shared origins irrelevant [it is an intentional point of the writing itself] which, i guess it is POSSIBLE that he really didn't actually tour and didn't do anything, evidenced by the fixation on his weirdly innocent eyes & the fact he was somehow the least fucked up of the mercenaries and was thus the one who actually had to liason with others because he was still capable of forming human connections, but that point is less relevant than the fact that he does see rape as power, victory, and a means of control)....so nowhere in the story does it ever insinuate that rape accusations are just a cheap tactic used by women to get out of anything. the game far more considers rape as an undeniable point of suffering that exists in the world because it has a function as a means to an end and is a...result that the moralintern (& moralism, the dominant form of thought in the game) intentionally produces en masse both in their own society and in military pursuits.

anyway this is mostly just me wanting to write me thoughts down because I suck at verbalizing them and felt like I was incoherent but LMFAO. yeah. this applies to a vast majority of the characters too in that they have reasons for doing what they do, the world gave them these reasons, and if you acknowledge them at all, you see there is sincerity in their portrayal and very few characters exist JUST as a mouthpiece. They are their own mouthpieces. the writers' worldview is ever present in the game, but it works in tandem with the characters it has and rarely overrides them and the way they exist in this world specifically because the game itself sees ideology as something that cannot have precedence over people but is still undeniable and influences everyone and explains a lot about them. It wants to be something that exists IN A REALITY with a myraid of people of different views and their own convictions and not something that defines a reality. it does not wish to control the narrative because it has faith that it will prove itself depending on the reader just by existing at all. do not know if that makes sende

i just clocked why sometimes but not all the time when i see someone being like, "yes but this group isnt the one doing this" or something along those lines, i get so annoyed but again, only sometimes.

like for example if someone's saying like, idk, "girls got the not like other girls syndrome bc they want to be accepted by guys around them" and someone swoop in being, "guys werent the one making them do that though" am more or less just like. yea. yea, i get what the op was saying but this commenter isnt wrong and thus not annoying.

but if the op was like, "our culture and society place so much value in male approval that a lot of girls developed not like other girls syndrome for that approval" and then a person swoops in giving the same counter as before am like, oh my god shut up literally reread the whole thing again.

cause like, am personally more of the mindset that if youre speaking in public thats on you to minimise as much potential misunderstanding as possible. i mean it's also still on you on private convos but like those are usually more with people you already know so it's whatever, they prolly already got what you meant. and unless the person is a massive asshole clarification is prolly just "huh wdym" "like, this, yknow??" kinda deal. but in public, or with strangers, since they dont know anything about you, and with the tendency of people easier to get confrontational, disclaimers or just clear phrasing in general is like, a courtesy ig. less headache for you too; if someone misunderstands what you said it's easier to be like, "i literally cannot be any clearer than this, this is a you problem" when you've communicated what you meant well enough.

which is why am not exactly a fan of generalisation in public/strangers. like, unless it's pretty clear that it wasnt meant to be taken seriously. i get what people mean when they say stuff like, idk, "men aint shit" but also like ... if you say that unironically, and in what's supposed to be a genuine/serious convo about stuff, and you dont elaborate further.... like i get what youre getting at but also people saying, "not all men" arent wrong either. and i'll be honest as much as i dont disagree with the sentiment behind the slogan and why it came to be at all, whenever these things happen and the usual debate ensues am just like. this is silly. it's silly. am sorry. none of you are having the same conversation with one another. yes, sorry, the person saying not all men was correct actually. no, you werent talking about that, but ostensibly by the phrasing you were. so just. have fun now, i guess.

so when, now, the person is clearly not talking about men, or any group, let alone generalising anyone, and is instead pointing out to the larger entity that affects everyone by making things harder for one group and easier for another ... but not talking about individuals ... to have someone swooping in to be like "not all men/[insert any other demographic]" it's like. youre the silly one here actually. youre clowning so hard but no one attends your gig. sad. embarrassing. literally no one is talking about that. if someone points out the system benefits you thats not someone pointing their finger at you. this isnt about you. like legitimately shut up.

Can We? an au lucifer x reader oneshot

Author Profile a/n: SURPRISEEEEEE. i got 'we become we' -journey to jerusalem song on a loop since i found it and i knew i wasn't gonna get it out of my system unless i do something about it. so pls enjoy my ramblings lmfao word count: 1200+

"Your Majesty, please reconsider this! Our kingdom needs a Queen!"

Lucifer sighs at the aide's words, feeling irritated with the insistent suggestion of a Queen.

"I agree, your majesty. The people are quite worried for you. You need an heir, and you aren't getting any younger either," another aide jumps in.

Lucifer surrenders to them with hands in the air in exasperation and finally replies, "Fine."

The people in the room sigh in relief that they somehow got through to him. But hitch their breath when he adds on.

"However, I won't just choose anyone. Only the best candidate will stand by my side and be rightfully called the Queen," he glares.

"Good day, your majesty. My name is (full name), Princess of the Eastern Kingdom. I'm grateful for this opportunity," you smile amiably.

"Likewise," he responds quite honestly shocked from your tone.

You were the guest that was expected to arrive at the palace after receiving the invitation to be a Queen candidate. However, after word got around that you will be joining the fight for the title. All the ladies mutually agreed to resign. When he asked why, all the aide's replies were, "There is no other person worthy to be by your side other than the Princess."

Now, you stood in front of him. You were dressed beautifully, but not as extravagant as those ladies that came before him. You had a melodic tone in your voice that was pleasant to the ear. Your hands folded together gracefully. Everything about you was enchanting.

You tilt your head confused about his speechlessness. "Did I catch you in the wrong time?" you ask him.

His cheeks reddened, embarrassed that you left him dazed just from your introduction alone.

"No no," he excuses then coughs to get a grip on himself, "I apologize. I must have been tired from all the work this morning."

You give him an understanding smile and reply, "No apologies needed, your majesty. I feel honored to be here and see how hard you work. I'm sure this kingdom is grateful to have such a diligent King."

His blush intensifies from your non-stop flattery. He's heard many compliments in his life for his achievements. However, when you were the one saying those words. He can't help but believe it was all true with how genuine you sounded.

"Please, I'm quite embarrassed to hear such words from you, Princess. I've heard many tales of your acts of charity for your and other neighboring kingdoms. You've paved the way for others to follow in your example and gave a chance for the poor, homeless and orphaned," he redirected trying to calm his flaring cheeks.

He was pleasantly surprised at your reaction.

"P-Please! You've heard of that? Oh, I'm embarrassed! I hope only good thing reached your ears," you stumbled over your words when the attention turned back to you.

He laughs at you as you tried to hide behind your hair as you also flushed red. 'For someone, who gives out so many compliments. She can't even handle a couple of her own.'

'This wasn't such a bad idea,' he thought as he watched as you smile and continue talking to him.

"(Y/n), can I ask you something?" he says sitting at the edge of the bed where you sat beside while reading a book.

It had been several weeks since your marriage and it's been quite busy for the both of you as you adjusted to your married life. Lucifer finished paperwork for his projects and formal preparations for your ascension to your rights as the new Queen. Thankfully, it had finally calmed down and now you helped him with his work and even the inner management of the castle.

You have shared the room since the beginning, and you've already shared your first night as husband and wife together. Which was.. quite passionate to say the least. But, after both of you would wake up earlier or later than the other, too considerate to wake up the other from their well-earned rest. So, now that it has finally calmed down and Lucifer approached you. You couldn't help but feel nervous.

"Of course, anything," you reply putting away the book and taking his hand in yours.

He smiles and gains courage as he caresses your hand back and says, "Are you okay with this arrangement?"

You tilt your head unsure of the meaning, "About what?"

"This," he gestures to the both of you, "are you okay about our marriage?"

You huff out a laugh relieved, you thought it was a life or death situation, "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?"

He shrugs and replies, "I don't know. I just thought you were having doubts about us."

You give him a meaningful look and stood up from your spot. You then tugged him to stand with you. You made him hold your waist and hand while you placed yours on his shoulder. You led him into a slow dance with a smile on your face.

"Remember, our dance together?" you asked.

"At the wedding?" he asks.

You shook your head and laughed, "We danced one together way before that. That night where we shared the stars together."

His eyes lit up, remembering that night.

"During that dance, I thought that being with you will be worthwhile. And if wherever this choice leads me. I won't regret being with you, Lucifer," you say with a deep look in your eyes.

His eyes soften as he gazed at you. You were nothing but wonderful to him, it was childish of him to assume you were having doubts. He should have trusted you and made you happy instead. You deserve nothing less than that.

You continue with a huge smile on your face as you followed his lead, gliding around the room.

"Stuck here forever And hopefully not ending in estrangement,"

You sang together faces inching towards each other with half lidded eyes.

"Can mine become yours Combining our dreams Without keeping score?"

You twirled around the room with him catching you. He opens the door and leads you out into the halls where you continued your dance.

"Always together, but never bored No choice in the matter but This will never work without each other,"

The both of you laugh like children as you chased each other down the halls.

"Can we become we? (Can we become we?) Start a new line on this family tree,"

He catches up to you and lifts you off the ground and kisses your cheek with a hearty chuckle from your deviousness.

"Two hearts connected by one beat, Your hand in mine and,"

You beam him a smile as you placed your hands on his chest feeling the rhythmic thumping of his heart from chasing you around.

"I could never choose to love another," Lucifer whispers as he pulls you into a kiss which you return with fervor.

After minutes of kissing one another, he places you down and hold your waist as places another kiss on your temple with a beaming smile. You return it and let him lead you back to your room.

"Maybe one day I can learn to love you, too," you whisper as you gave a passing gaze at the portrait of a blonde woman with her face covered with a large cloth.
