Yosano Akiko

She's the quickest to come to a decision when it came to entering both your lives. Perhaps it's her age or simply her disposition, but taking care of the two of you isn't a hurdle for her at all.

She loves teasing and spoiling you but especially your child. This is why they love her so much that an outsider might think that she was the biological mother. They're that close.

Going out to buy stuff is their your favorite activity together. Whether it's just groceries or more clothes, home decor, and toys, the three of you will go at the same time.

One of her qualities that was extremely useful when dealing with your child was her patience. It's probably not just due to her background as a doctor, but her life experience is just a huge factor altogether.

When it comes to protectiveness with the small stuff, she's not as intense as the other two on this list. Of course the child's safety is of utmost priority but injuries and the like are normal and, in her opinion, necessary to build their character. (And also there's her ability when it comes to it, so the confidence goes up tenfold)

She's not afraid to be more openly affectionate with either of you. She knows you two need it and nothing makes her happier than seeing you two happy and loved.

Kunikida Doppo

He was pretty hesitant to start a relationship with you at first. It's not that he doesn't like that you have a child, it's more of he's not sure if he's ready to play the role of a father as well. But he knew there was no going back once he's formed an attachment to your child.

It was easier to win over the child than it was you for some reason. As much as he likes children, he wouldn't say he's an absolute natural at handling them. It was a big relief and advantage for him, then, to have them on his side.

Theirs is a pretty standard father-child relationship - not that it's a bad thing. Kunikida is 100% dad material even if he's not quite at that age yet. He's quite protective, lectures (nicely and softly) often, etc.

His teacher side will come out as well. Explaining the world to them is essential for their development (or so he says). Plus children are naturally inquisitive so he answers their questions adequately most of the time. Goes in depth with them, too.

He's the least likely to go on frequent one-on-one dates with you. Don't get me wrong, he loves you very much, but compared to the other two he's more than content to spend with you two as a family. It's also because he's so concerned that something might happen to your child that he'd want to be by their side as much as possible. (Ofc just tell him if you want to go on dates more often he'll definitely listen)

Overall, he does his best to be a good partner and father. He may be strict with you at times, but that's only because he loves you two so much.

Nakahara Chuuya

Similar to Kunikida, he was worried that you being in a relationship with him might not be the best for you and your child. But his mind changed when he was once welcomed into your loving home: what emerged was the overwhelming desire to protect it.

Hence the spoiling. Lots of spoiling. Whether it comes to buying you two things or giving in easily to your demands, it's just so hard for him to say no. He doesn't want either of you to go through the poverty he went through.

He's such a sweet guy that I can't even begin to describe it. Every present and favor he does for you is done thoughtfully, and he definitely puts so much effort in becoming the lover you've always dreamed of.

Even if he doesn't visit often due to work, it only makes every moment more special. Your child looks forward to being with him (even if only to sleep together). They love sleeping on top of him to prevent him from leaving too soon and most of the time, it works.

You love seeing them play together. Chuuya's good at it, but most of all his inner kid comes out and it's such an adorable sight you can't help but let them indulge in it. The best part is watching him try to mind his language around them. The one time he let it slip and your kid copied him, he was mortified (while you were thoroughly entertained).

The mafia life is far away from your home. He rarely ever talks about it let alone think about it whenever he's with one or the both of you. During these times he's just himself - not a mafia executive, not the boss's underling - he's just Chuuya.

I saw someone talking about how with the scenes added in the ebook and with the scenes in the ongoing side story, with emphasis on that one scene where LHH talks about the heroine of ORV, DokSoo might become canon. And while they did mention that they read the side story, I thought that that particular scene pretty much sunk many ships?

oh boy ngl i was a bit reluctant answering this ask but imo this is just fans' wishful thinking rather than singshong walking through a doksoo route.

the doksoo scenes added to the ebook arent really so fundamental to the point that theyre the closest ship to become canon. in fact I'd say that the main reason to make them canon would be that it's a (well-developed) straight ship tbh. in the 1863rd turn, theres an added smoking-on-the-roof scene. kdj tries smoking and immediately has a coughing fit. hsy asks him if she did well in this round. this added scene is a direct parallel to kdj telling her that she did well during the enemy of the story arc

another scene is during kaizenix. yjh and kdj decide to try the romance route and bcs yuri was in love with ricardo, it's kdj who writes the letter "write a story that's for me and me alone" this is also a foreshadowing to what we learn in the epilogue lol. to expand more on kaizenix, we also have yjh telling kdj that his writing skills are terrible despite him reading so much, kdj tells him that with his face he certainly didnt have any problems with courting. yjh then goes on a thinking tangent about how he could not care less about the looks of someone he likes (and we know who is called ugly throughout the book)

as for the lhh part where he talks about orv's heroine (kdj's love interest in this context) he is 100% not referring to han sooyoung. he says that the character he had in mind didnt have as much screentime as the other leads. the main women in orv when it comes to screentime are hsy jhw uriel and ysa. going by lhh's logic and IF his words represent singshong's stance, then hsy is immediately ruled out. i also wouldn't consider jhw for the role either, not only bcs i didnt really see their scenes with a romantic undertone but also why would singshong write kdj's romantic interest love someone else (lhs) romantically?

with uriel, unless you consider kdj/uriel to be a direct parallel to 999yjh/999uriel then i dont think shes The candidate either. now for ysa, im a bit iffy when it comes to her bcs sure she doesnt have as much as screentime as lets say yoohankim but shes also not someone you would consider neglected (like lsh for example) also i genuinely think that romance would undermine doksang's bonds. i think theyre so good BECAUSE theyre platonic

singshong have told us in multiple ways that orv is not a story about a canon romance so you can interpret the ending however you want just dont mis-label the novel's genre (this includes both het and gay romance). plus i just dont think they would shoot themselves on the foot and risk "angering" the largest active part of the fandom (general statement). i dont want to sound arrogant but you cant deny that joongdok shippers are the backbone of orv fandom and joongdok artists have been the only ones to be recruited to promote orv. alter (the official artist before blackbox) is a danmei artist, blackbox is a joongdok shipper, haban (taiwanese release cover artist) has a danmei history, the artist of the simplified cn version release has jd porn on their twitter and so on. certainly singshong are aware that orv didn't get this big bcs some guy recommended it in solo leveling's comment sections

speaking of guys, not every dudebro out there ships doksoo anw, some like doksang, some dont ship anything. the same can be said about the female audience too. not everyone ships joongdok. some ship doksoo, some yoohankim, some nothing thats not canon. im not part of the latest group since i could not care less about a ship's canon status lol

Personal wishlist for future anime adaptations of BSD (assuming S4 can come out this year?? @/Bones hello my guy??)

(very light out-of-context spoilers for 55 minutes + stormbringer)

Season 4:

2-3 eps for The Untold Origins of the Detective Agency (only Fukuzawa/Ranpo part)

10 eps to cover from where S3 left off until the ADA reunites in Anne's room*

*manga chapters 54-79 which seems a lot but the manga chapters've been getting shorter & not longer, plus their poster did show the sky casino. also it'd be such a nice, hopeful note to end the season on (before everything went to hell :v)

Season 4.5**:

4-5 eps to cover 55 Minutes light novel

7-8 eps to cover Stormbringer light novel

idk call it Bungou Stray Dogs: Nobody likes Europeans Singularities or something***

**i think there's enough to kinda plan a S5 right now but at the same time we (and Bones?) don't know when and how exactly the DoA arc will end. it does look like it's reaching climax (maybe a two-front final battle aka airport+prison?) and iirc Asagiri said he's done with the draft to wrap this arc up, but if it can end fast enough Bones might just want to wait and cram its conclusion into S5 because tbh letting one arc, nevermind one that takes place in ~10 days canon time, drags for 3 seasons isn't really great for viewer retention

**(+) speaking of viewer retention, i think wan! is cute and all, but if they're waiting out the manga they could do so much more with actual content that enriches the worldbuilding aka, 55 minutes & stormbringer. tbh i could see 55 minutes as a single movie, but stormbringer is wayyy too long to shove into 100 minutes of film with any coherency and doesn't lend well to being split in a two-parter either, so why not do both in single season? we can get atsushi (the, y'know, main character), akutagawa, dazai & ada adventure AND chuuya, dazai & port mafia adventure, which will definitely sell well while not having to sacrifice the narrative trying to shove either into a "main" season, so win-win-win?? (@/Bones)

***i know 55 minutes and stormbringer are like two separate timelines/stories, but they both touch a lot on European skill/singularity weapons and singularities in general, so it might not be that hard trying to link them together. they could start with 55 minutes, then at the end when they're reflecting on the events have atsushi ask dazai about gab/verne and dazai would be 'sike, arent i too familiar with that shit', or have ango (give the man some sleep) type up a report and retelling both events together or sth. not to mention we already have mentions of singularity weapon in the main manga so it'd be a nice idea to introduce all the foundations before S5. plus, verlaine mentioned h.g. wells by name in stormbringer so that'd be a nice tie-in

Season 5:

(hopefully) concludes the DoA arc

dunno what other light novels Asagiri plans on writing, but if Bones hopes to cram the DoA conclusion here maybe it's better to not have any LN content at all and picks straight up from S4

misc thoughts: i dont think DoA will be the last arc of BSD, there's still a lot not touched on about the European side of things (Clock Tower hello?) and world war might or might not pick back up so im sure asagiri still has some wild ideas to write. fukuchi dies for sure which will probably signal the end of DoA arc, but just because dude's a trainwreck doesn't mean he didn't have some good points about govt-sanctioned horrors, so that might lead us into the next arc. fyodor's dying is 50/50? somehow hes both been here too long and i still feel we havent done enough with his character yet. anw im more than ready for DoA arc to end, please asagiri have mercy 🥺

anw I’m assuming this is about the minuscule tag I left but that isn’t relevant right now, I promise, bc I’m kind of working on two things? I suppose.

there’s my longer fic which I’m still plotting out in the first place (looking at the build-up to/the actual murders shown in Scream ‘96 is such a fun concept but I feel like it’s already been done well 100 times before me, so what do I have to contribute?). so rn I’m still trying to see if there’s anything in that idea that I’d want to explore - that would even merit me writing about it, and if not, then what other aspects of them do I enjoy? I definitely have my own ideas of Billy and Stu as characters, and my own idea of the world of Scream, so I want to put something firm out regardless to try flesh this out beyond just my own head.

right NOW though I’m just working on small oneshots. ideally I’d like these to tie into the above but given the way I’m writing it, I’m not too bothered if they end up not aligning. currently it’s the traditional sickfic to warm me back into writing, because I haven’t since… maybe 2021 or something. I did a whole lot of Myers x readers which are decently popular but I don’t feel any pride in them so I’ll either abandon that account and start fresh, ignore them, or orphan them lol.

hi lei!! my break has officially started so i don't have to stress about school for a bit!! today i played through venti's and childe's story quest to help decide which one i wanna use my pity on and honestly i was more affected by childe's than i thought,,hes starting to form a place in my heart the whole thing made me kinda cringe and have second hand embarssment because of his lying but seeing how much he cared for his brother was so sweet,,,i have a complicated relationship with my family and seeing their dynamic made me feel a sense of yearning i guess,,i cried it about it earlier and childe provided me a sense of comfort but I wanna know more about him before i just let him be my comfort character there are requirements and rules he has to meet!! giving me comfort is a full time job!!/j i'm gonna read his wiki tonight and i'm respectfully asking you my favorite childe lover for your hcs on him- 🍰

hello bby!!! i just woke up from a nap so this may or may not have come late. anw, im glad you’re finally getting a break! venti and childe’s quests gave me different sets of feelings but those two are my favorite along w zhongli’s! childe does a lot of unjustifiable things and he’s overall, a pretty bad person but the thing about bad people is that they’re never 100% bad. there’s always some semblance of good in their hearts and that makes you connect to them in a sense. while i don’t exactly agree w his methods, childe loves his brother sm and it shows. i want someone to protect me the same way he does w his family smh.

— childe sleeps awkwardly w his useless long limbs sprawled out so there’s never enough space when sharing a bed w him.

— thats a win for him tho bc he’s the hugest cuddler teyvat has seen. without fail, whoever sleeping w him would wake up to his arm securely around their waist or their head, legs tangled loosely together.

— he sleeps the closest to the door and windows. its a safety habit of his. whoever wants to harm the people he’s closest to will have to go through him first and that’s a fact even under the blanket of slumber.

— he likes spending obnoxious amounts of money for gifts but he also makes handmade trinkets just as often. maybe woodwork? little toys or trinkets that he makes on his downtime. those trinkets always come with special little notes or letters, depending on how much free time he has.

— what i mean is it ranges from “thinking of you. love, ajax” to “the weather in liyue is cooler than normal but not nearly cold enough to compare to the weather over there. i just came back from work related duties and while camping, i made this little something for you.”

— if someone he cares about gets injured because of their clumsiness, he would tease them first before helping them. he’s a jerk but that doesn’t mean he isn’t concerned. actually, he’s the type to blow things out of proportion.

— you sprained your ankle? he’ll laugh and tease you for being so clumsy and when you start pouting and refusing his help? he’s the type to leave you behind and come back a few moments later with a wheelchair or smth as you sulk about his lack of concern. if you still refuse his help? he’ll ride the wheelchair himself and spin around acting as if he’s having the best time of his life (he is.)

— also, watch him carry you in his arms everywhere despite your embarrassment and insistence that you can walk hobble your way around.

— if someone hurt you? call an ambulance but not for him that’s a story for another time and it’s not gonna be sparkles and fairy tales.

— childe has a very high eq/emotional intelligence. partnered w his very observant nature, he knows exactly what everyone is feeling.

— expect your favorite comfort food, a bunch of comfy blankets, a mug of your favorite warm drink and all other stuff you like if you’re feeling even the slightest bit down. he’ll spoil you w everything if he’s unfortunately too busy to be there w you.

— but if he can force someone else to do his share of work and his work is not too important, then he would stay and cuddle you all day. one moment you’re laying against his chest as you read a book and the next, you’re the little spoon in bed as he peppers you w sweet words and kisses. he won’t force you to talk abt it but he will willingly lend an ear if you want to talk about it.

— if he sees that whatever troubles you is becoming bad-bad then he will gently pry it out of you for your own sake. he just wants to help as best as he could bc a frown would never belong to your pretty face.

— pls i want that. but you know what else i want?

— when childe is the one needing help, his first instinct is to hide behind a mask but if you successfully wormed your way into his heart, he’ll let you see how lonely and broken he truly is.

— cradle his head to your chest and he’ll nuzzle his head closer to you. he loves the rhythm of your heartbeat. it grounds him. run a hand through his hair and he’ll weakly whimper. don’t mention it tho or else he’ll pull away out of shame.

— after basking in your warmth and affection, childe will look up w a dopey smile and the most lovestricken eyes you could ever see. he loves too much and now, he loves you.

— he’s very open w his affection and if you reciprocate? he will protect you until the end of time and love you ever so unconditionally.

— to childe, love means one thing and that’s family. if he loves you, you’re now part of his dysfunctional family and he makes it his life’s purpose to do everything to make his family smile.

— congrats. you’re now part of tonia’s permanent guest list for tea parties and teucer’s favorite play buddy second only to childe. sure you may never have met them, but he speaks about you so much in his letters that they feel like they’ve known you forever.

— oh and you might as well pack up and live in snezhnaya bc after meeting them once at childe’s insistence, they, too, have fallen in love w you and they’re just as stubborn as our man, childe.

spoilers 4 the devil all the time under the cut 😪 ignore this ! i just needed 2 write this out b4 i went nuts thinking about it

right so i was reading the prologue of the book and this part jumped out at me:

because if you've seen the movie you'll know the order of events depicted goes like this: A. while willard & arvin are praying at the log, two hunters pass by and make inappropriate remarks about charlotte - willard tells arvin to ignore them and continue praying B. when willard and arvin go to pick up sugar at the store, willard stops the truck abruptly, gets out and beats the shit out of the same two hunters from before, gets back in the truck, and tells arvin that he "just has to pick the right time to stand up for [himself]" while wiping his bloody knuckles with a dirty rag (❗❗❗ wauuuaugh parallels .) C. when they get home, arvin goes in first and finds the kitchen cloudy with smoke and charlotte lying on the ground, unconscious. we find out she's dying. D. willard was religious before but now he prays even more desperately, backhanding and shouting at arvin to pray for his mum. we see him start to descend into a downward spiral from here onwards

so obv films have to add/subtract and shuffle events around for time's sake + conciseness, but i havent gotten past 1/4 of the book yet, so im taking a shot in the dark at assuming they intentionally added the part where they find charlotte unconscious so that it’s IMMEDIATELY after willard beats up the two hunters for dramatic effect etc etc idk im not going to expand on this today . but what this means is the film now veers onto the path where willard’s actions directly lead to his wife’s diagnosis. the crazed manner in which he prays (begs) God to save his wife, sacrificing his son’s dog as a sort of offering/exchange to heal her, the grief that leads him to kill himself after she dies? the religious mania ramps up to 100 straight after she was diagnosed, and im willing to bet you my entire coffee jar that the film’s decision to position the spiral of events leading to his wife’s death immediately after willard’s vengeful incident was a punishment (from who? from the God he worships so fervently?) - at least in his mind, anyway (you can’t tell me he wasn’t a little bit off in the head about the religion thing in the first place anw) .

the film leaves a lot of nonverbal cues, and arvin as an older boy is a lot more solemn than the younger arvin we see in the beginning, so we can sort of assume the extent of emotional trauma he’s been through, especially with the way his parents die one after the other . but the book produces a whole new dimension of his character, telling us that a). arvin thinks his father’s a load of rubbish when he ignores the hunters b). thinks he’s wonderful when he beats up the hunters c). declares that that day was the best he’d ever had with his father. -> what effect does this have on book-arvin?? and by extension, film-arvin???? from what we can glean from his take of that fateful day, this demonstration of events literally gift-wraps the promise of [beat someone up to defend your name = people you love dying as a consequence of it]. how does that translate to the rest of his actions in the later part of the film? if we slot the lens of this awful tragedy over his decisions in the film, what are we going to see?

I managed to make it home in time, and watched both episodes, but I guess I’m able to do a mini summary of sorts - But my verdict on the show is while the first two episodes seem a tad bit slow in terms of plot but there ARE NO GLARING PLOTHOLES THANK GOD and i gotta say I LOVE XI GU AND HAO TING AND BO XIANG AND ZHI GANG AND THE TWINS LMAO THEY ALL SO CUTE and surprisingly I like the main girl as well Si Yu although okay it kinda sucks that she’s going after Xi Gu while still attached to Hao Ting unless she was aiming for threesome but then no communication there and FRANKLY it might even be a love rectangle between Xi Gu - Hao Ting - Nintendo Switch - Si Yu lmao

We start off with Hao Ting and gang (the fiercer twin, Gao Qun, Bo Xiang and the other guy whose name I still don’t know but he’s a Singaporean actor) in class and the Chinese teacher reading off abysmally low scores ranging like in the 30s and below out of a 100, and guess what our lovely main lead Hao Ting scores THIRTEEN OUT OF A HUNDRED

And okay you gotta give it to Hao Ting - He’s a little shit but he’s a CHARISMATIC little shit with a glib tongue, anyway the teacher yells at him for being not serious about graduating and his friends cheer him on and are just generally obnoxious, and then Hao Ting quips that this is about freedom yeah, and of course the teacher is like fuck you dumbass & threatens Hao Ting that if he dares to leave this class he doesn’t have to come back

Don’t ever dare and threaten your dumbass jocks in class cuz they hear a dare they gonna CARRY OUT THE DARE TEACHERS HAVE YOU NOT LEARNT ANYTHING - so Hao Ting leaps over a desk and runs out much to the cheers of his friends and everyone in class who get up and run to the windows and doors to watch him go - And then one of his friends yell at him to ask him to buy fried chicken early from the canteen I think

And then cut to the next scene - The gang at the courtyard/stage thingy and Gao Qun filmed the whole thing earlier and is showing to everyone while they eat fried chicken, and then Hao Ting demands for 300 NTD each from his friends, who refuse to pay lmao although Hao Ting digs into Bo Xiang’s pocket and digs out some coins and keeps them

Then Hao Ting’s girlfriend pings him and he runs off

Cut to the infirmary, and HT’s shirt is half off as his girlfriend Si Yu is helping him to ice his shoulder and spray muscle relaxant on his back - She’s chiding him for being so reckless earlier and asking him not to do that again because she’ll be worried, and HT obviously soaks in the attention and TLC from her, and then they proceed to MAKE OUT

Pretty good makeout scene really, although idg why the camera angle had to show like her cleavage specifically like LMAO ARE U ALLOWED TO SHOW THE CLEAVAGE OF A TECHNICALLY UNDER-18 GIRL?!!! No idea, anyway, things get really heated up, but they’re interrupted

And XI GU makes his first appearance here!!! He’s taking a nap in the infirmary and is totally disturbed by these two horny teenagers, in any case SY and HT go out, although SY’s eyes are totally on XG as they leave - She’s curious about him

Then the infirmary doctor comes in, and obviously XG is like the apple of everyone’s eyes and I GET IT BECAUSE WHEN HE SMILES IT’S DEVASTATING - So the doctor is chiding him for not eating lunch (and if you read the character intro translation I did you’ll know it’s because XG is poor and he wants to save money, like that’s driving force behind all his actions for now at least) and because of that XG is obviously thin as fuck and pale like Edward Cullen - So doc tells him to take more care of himself and rest etc. etc.

And then side character 1 and side character 2 - SY’s friends, the girl (SC1) calls herself a fujoshi and is obviously a fan of XG and you’re a bit creepy but I get you girl, and then anw SY is asking SC1 about XG after she sees that XG is first in exams again, and SY gurl don’t two-time please

HT is DYING to buy a Switch, and after dinner with his fam, he tries to secretly ask him mom for money but the mom and sis totally gives him away and the dad threatens to hit him to see if ‘he’ll be more normal’ after that LMAO - and anw dad chases HT to the room but HT wins by shutting the room door and son and dad yell at one another through the door - But despite this u can see that they’re really close

Mom and sis settled on the couch eating fruits in the chaos - a MOOD

Then next day SY catches up to XG as he’s walking to (class? to lunch? idk?) and asks him to tutor her, and XG rejects her of course cuz he likes to study alone and he hates everyone else kinda but she insists and he refuses and then because they’re doing this on the stairs she slips and OF COURSE SMOL XG catches her and upstairs, the fiercer Xia twin videos it and them in that position

Fiercer Xia twin meets the rest of the gang on the rooftop but no one has much of a reaction to his news until he pulls out the video - HAO TING EATING REGARDLESS OF THE NEWS IS LIKE A BIG MOOD REALLY - the nicer Xia twin tries to speak up for XG because they’re like classmates, and then WHOA there’s a strange like almost-kiss moment as Xia En and Xia De like confront each other over that

HT finishes eating and goes confidently, “She won’t like him”

And then he goes to the infirmary wanting to take a nap right, and when he pulls open the curtain THERE XI GU IS ASLEEP AND THIS IS WHERE WE GET THE HAO TING FALLING ON XI GU ON THE BED SCENE FROM THE TRAILERS - And HT groans, “First he ruins my plans and then now he’s taken my bed”

HT reaches for a red pen from the table on the other side of Xi Gu’s bed and of course he falls and lands on the bed, and then XI GU WAKES UP AND HORRORRRRR

Doc comes in and reprimands HT for bullying/disturbing XG basically

And then I can’t remember where the scene is exactly but XG at some point goes to work at Zhi Gang’s soy milk store?!!! I think or cafe that sells soy milk lmao, and Zhi Gang asks if he’s eaten dinner, and XI GU SO CUTELY SMILES OMGGG and lies that he has, but obviously ZG already knows that XG is lying and already bought dinner for him, and also lets XG go home early out of consideration for XG’s studying schedule since he’s also studying to graduate this sem I think?!

Oh okay then before this scene, we have THIRSTY BO XIANG AT HIS COUSIN’S GYM WIPING THE EQUIPMENT AND ALSO TAKING SECRET PHOTOS OF ZHI GANG - His cousin catches him, makes a scene and he’s ZG’s personal trainer I think and when he lifts up ZG’s shirt to ‘check’ on his progress, wow, BX DROOLS OKAY

And then at some point, Si Yu ambushes XG in class and gets him to tutor her after school because he stays behind for two out of five days, and then the twins find out, so when the time comes, the fiercer twin bullies XG out of class, and SY is left disappointed

HT basically begins to skip school and part time, and helps his mom to give out flyers in his neighbourhood to earn some extra money, and he also somehow cheats his mom by deliberately over-counting his daily part-time rate LMAO, but the sis does the math and outs him, and dad chases after him to try to hit him again but HT ain’t scared at all and they just play cat and mouse

And then the gang corners XG during lunch, bully him and basically makes him late HALF AN HOUR for class which has NEVER HAPPENED TO PERFECT ATTENDANCE AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE XI GU - He’s distressed because he needs a perfect attendance record and grades to get scholarship for university - So he’s fucking distressed, and the nicer twin at the back obviously sees it and he FEELS BAD and XG didn’t eat lunch again so he’s having gastric probably

End of the class XG begs the teacher not to record his tardiness because he really needs the scholarship, but the teacher is like everyone saw you come in so damn late, how can he like not put it on record? But when XG insists - white-lipped and shaking and all - teacher asks him to tell him why - and so XG tells him (which also doesn’t help him in terms of being bullied more by the gang when they find out)

So the gang ends up sweeping the corridor lmao

XG once again goes to work and kind-hearted LOVELY OPPA ZHI GANG gives him a bread again and asks him to go home early to study CRIES WHERE IS MY DADDY LONG LEGS

and BX probably because of his punishment, is unable to go to the gym for a while, but ZG asks the cousin where BX is

End of episode 2 shows BX on his bicycle cursing his cousin out for making him go all the way out to like... find a soy milk store, and GUESS WHAT SOY MILK STORE BELONGS TO HANDSOME ZHI GANG OKAY

Oh yeah and then he sees his lovely oppa in store helping XG to straighten out his collar and then he gets jelly

and the next day he confronts XG and pushes him against the wall and THE EPISODE ENDS HERE LIKE STOP DIS BULLYING

THOUGHTS ON THE SHOW:

This is pretty damn cute so far i have to admit, and I PROMISE YOU ONE OF THESE EPISODES, XI GU IS GONNA FAINT FROM HUNGER OR ILLNESS AND THEN EVERYONE FINDS OUT HOW POOR HE IS AND HAO TING CARRIES HIM TO THE INFIRMARY AND THEN BULLY GANG REGRETS BEING SO MEAN TO HIM

And for now, it seems like Si Yu may actually be supportive when she finds out that HT has taken an interest in XG - More on that in the next trailer I think, because somehow HT will mess up and XG ends up losing his first place on the exams and walks away dejectedly as HT regrets being a fucking idiot

And also at some point Zhi Gang will see Bo Xiang having fun with another girl on the streets and be all pissed and jelly and withdraw, and then HT tells BX to please go apologise and get him back, which BX attempts to do - CRIES HANDSOME OPPA IS DEFINITELY ZHI GANG OKAY

i shall bring up the formalities later but for now EXCUSE ME??? how could you break my heart like that and simply move on??? there aren’t enough words to describe how genuinely happy i am after reading ‘no longer human’ haha really though—there’s only been one occurrence before where i could actually envision every little detail in a story with such accuracy and vibrance in each scene! it legitimately felt like i was watching a high-quality picture in the best movie room mankind could ever create LOL i’m not even kidding like; i’ve never been more immersed in a story ever before, enough for me to completely dissociate from reality whilst i read it. the way you illustrated new seoul on their ride to the end of the dome in the beginning was so eloquently and beautifully done. i don’t know which film or was from but i think the description reminded me of a futuristic city i’ve seen somewhere before :D anyways, it was a refreshing picture to paint in the otherwise mostly blank canvas of my brain. also: the way there wasn’t direct angst but chil’s demise, hyuck’s sacrifice and jaemin’s end all slowly pricked at my heart until i was on the verge of tears… i assumed that the story would turn out in a way that either one among the two main characters would be bitten in one last fight before they all reached the sanctuary and a death cure 2.0 would take place but i feel like this ending was much better suited (?) to the overall plot? like; the shock factor + just imagining the slight sense of betrayal or, at the least, a sense of slight mistrust y/n would feel upon finding out jaemin’s character hid his suspicions from them even if he wasn’t a 100% convinced, or the realisation afterwards that it could’ve shaken their resolve to get to safely first/not go easy on any of the infected after finishing the story and thinking over it a bit made my read more enjoyable! and i adored the little ‘chil-yuk’ play on words, very suave of you indeed :3 as you could probably tell, i am a new reader so hello! thank you so much for taking the time and putting such effort into this, for writing something that reminded me of the joy i felt reading books when i was younger and for ripping my heart out by going with an ending i hadn’t anticipated! it really did feel like i was watching a dystopian movie with some of the best directors and writers behind it~ your brain is astonishing, i can’t wait to read all your other works as my schedule allows! have a lovely day ahead ♡

i'm not really sure how to respond to this bc i'm just genuinely taken aback that it made you think this much !! it's making me think of what would've happened if they found out before they got back to the dome too. you're right, the story would've taken a different turn if anything happened between them and a dome 🤔 but that's a story to tell in another universe.

aahhhh super tough choice...............tbh theyre all my fav character-wise, but I have to say I enjoy writing ritsu more than I do anyone else. mostly bc I feel like I get him better than shou or teru, so I’m just more willing to go in-depth on him and stuffs. and also bc hes my second fav kind of character. my child kaede has some ritsu in her too. thats how much I like ritsu when it comes to writing.

Opinions on Laura and Megan Kinney?

I have. So many opinions on Laura and Megan Kinney.(Disclaimer: I’ve read neither Target X or Innocence Lost for about two years. But the feelings, they never fade.)

Alright so.I’m very protective of the relationship Megan and Laura Kinney have. They’re cousins, and neither of them have (or had) siblings when they met. I grew up in a similar sort of circumstance - I had siblings, but we didn’t really know each other. So my closest familial relationship with with my cousin. I think that the relationship between cousins is comparable to the relationship between siblings, especially if they’re all each other has, and it’s an important relationship that, sadly, the writers keep overlooking, except when they drag Megan out to go “ummm Laura sweetie you Have to Kill This Person/commit this horrible act/poison the townspeople otherwise MEGAN DIES!” (e.g. Target X, X Force, All New Wolverine) because, you know, the writers know that Megan is Laura’s closest familial relationship, and the best leverage any villain is going to have against her.That’s not to discount the other familial relationships Laura has made - Daken and Gabby, for example - but the relationship Laura has with Megan is unique. Here’s why:When they were both around the age of 7, Laura saved Megan from a kidnapper. Sarah pulled her out of the facility, gave her Megan’s scent, and set her on the path to kill the person who had kidnapped Sarah’s niece. But what I find so interesting about that is that it’s Laura’s first real act of humanity. She’s a child at this point - she knows nothing but pain, and abuse, and the occasional kindness given TO her. But she’s never acted in kindness herself, yet. And she saves Megan - which is what her orders were - but not only does she save Megan, she comforts her. Brings her back to Sarah and Debbie in one piece. It’s the first time Laura is put into a situation and responds with humanity.Then we go on to Target X, where poor, little, 14-year-old (or so) Laura escapes the facility and joins her family. Debbie and Megan take her in. Debbie’s a little aloof, doesn’t really understand, but Megan embraces Laura with all the love she can give. She shares her clothes, her food. She takes her on her first rollercoaster (FUCK the X-23 writers for forgetting that, btw). She takes Laura to her first concert (which was Dazzler, which makes me beyond happy). They bond. They laugh. They’re family. And Laura proves she will, at this point, sacrifice anything for her family - for Megan, specifically, but also for Debbie because she’s Megan’s mother and Sarah’s sister. Debbie comes to care for Laura like a second daughter - and Laura and Megan care for each other. And Megan gives her The Necklace - the necklace she then proceeds to wear for years because it’s all she has to remind her of Sarah and Megan.When Laura lives in NYC, working as a prostitute, I 100% believe that the reason she trusted Kiden in the beginning is because of Kiden’s resemblance to Megan. She was broken, she was confused, she was found by a short-haired blonde who showed her some measure of kindness.I would love to see Megan introduced to the All New Wolverine roster on a permanent basis. I could see her as a sort of Veronica Mars-esqe character, helping Laura from behind the scenes. I’m not up to date on ANW (I wait for tradepaperbacks, and broke at that) but from what I’ve heard Megan gets pulled out again as a “we’ll kill her unless you obey us” character for Laura. And I just really, really want Laura and Megan to have more than that. They deserve more than that. They deserve to be together, and happy.
