out of the big 4 het/canon fairy tail pairings jerza is by Far the worst imo like. he needs to leave her alone i'm so serious and the fact that mashima wrote in a 7 year age gap for no reason is Not helping... erzas ass is NINETEEN the first time jellal makes an open pass at her i don't care that they used to be the same age it is fucking weird. gruvia is a close second though because while yes we objectify men here sir and i live to serve women juvia's creepiness is really just too much like at a certain point it starts to feel really gross and the fact that gray seems to fall for her by the end of the anime/manga just reeks of coercion. not even bringing up how genuinely awful juvia's character writing is she gets like 5 minutes of being interesting before getting instantly reduced to a creepy stan who completely revolves around gray and has less depth than the average bossfight of the week. i guess its equality that erza and mirajane are some of the best characters in this story (which is admittedly a low bar considering half of their personality is being subjected to the most voyeuristic shots possible) so mashima had to balance it out by making juvia one of the worst

TF2 ships and i think have chemistry and why
(note : i don't personally ship any of the mercs together, except maybe heavy and medic)
Tumblr media
Heavy + Medic
a classic! needs no explanation. they're besties, your honor. they work well in battle, and they mesh well outside of it, so they'd obviously make a good couple.
Medic + Scout
for this one, i feel like scout would physically appeal to medic since he's the youngest and also very fit and in quite good health. subsequently, scout would get some fucked up sexual awakenings from medic's "inspections"
Scout + Sniper
lively young spud full of energy + scrungly sad wet cat of a man dynamic i find very cute. also the interesting dynamic between scout's submissiveness and easy bashfulness despite a tough exterior, and sniper's predatory nature and dominance despite a quiet exterior.
Demoman + Soldier
this one also needs little explanation. this applies to specifically red + blu. they were canonical best friends, could very well be somethin more.
Medic + Engineer
these two do some pretty cool stuff when they put their smart little heads together, shown extensively in expiration date. all that time spent alone together in a lab could get a little devious.. engineer also seems to have a habit of lobbing his own limbs off without much thought, so medic is required.
Spy + Sniper
classic enemies to lovers. they're natural rivals in gameplay, so it'd be real silly if they were a couple in non-gameplay. they share a very quiet and reserved nature i think they'd like in each other.
Pyro + Engineer
this "ship" i see as more platonic. the other mercs really fear pyro and avoid them mostly, while engineer's gentle nature allows him to show kindness to them. this, in turn, lets pyro show their sweetness to him freely and have it reciprocated.

Why do you not like Alex from BB, like in your opinion, what do you think is wrong with him and how would you fix him.
this is such a complicated question bcuz there isnt anything wrong with him as a CHARACTER he's not unfunny or annoying or anything its just like. okay its very clear that around season eight the writers realized that gene didnt have any friends his own age at school and didnt have ANY male friends he hung out with (not counting peter here bcuz we dont see him in very many episodes although im sure they're casual friends) he really only spends time with his sisters and their friends. they decided that they needed to give him a friend in his grade which would be FINE except they just like introduced him out of nowhere as a way to give gene a Masculine Male Friend and it wasnt like a character we've seen gene previously interact with or a background character he becomes closer with. like yeah technically they did the same thing with courtney but that was in SEASON THREE so it made more sense to introduce new classmates bcuz we hadn't spent a lot of time at their school yet and didnt know everybody. its completely out of nowhere and theyre just immediately like yes we're best friends now. and the next episode everybody acts like alex has been there the whole time. and yeah things can happens off screen but that excuse doesnt really work when THE WRITERS KNOW THAT THIS IS AN ANIMATED TV SERIES AND OFF SCREEN DOESNT ACTUALLY EXIST it just feels like such a forced relationship that they did purely bcuz they felt like they needed to and not because it was natural for gene's character development or personality and that annoys me
ALSO SINCE WHEN HAS GENE BEEN A NERD WHO LIKES PLAYING NERDY MATH WIZARD GAMES
personally i think there were many better ways to introduce a best friend if they wanted to do that (maybe courtney or peter both kids we already know gene is friends with in his grade) or a new kid at school who gene shows around and spends time with over a few episodes (like tina and tammy except not awful) either way u NEED to give their relationship more time to develop. louise and rudy are a great example of this bcuz they werent best friends right away. they casually hung out with each other over a period of time in different episodes and then EVENTUALLY them being closer makes sense bcuz u can tell they really bonded over their adventures vs with gene and alex its like okay here are these two characters they're best friends now. there isnt even chemistry between them if im being honest
yeah i would either introduce him way earlier in the show and give him more episodes where he's casually around gene or use another previously existing background character and give them a few episodes together. honestly i stand by my opinion that peter would've worked really great in alex's place bcuz they already interacted in multiple episodes and were in a band together
as for NOW there isnt really anything they could do to fix alex or make me like him i just think he was a poor writing decision and i would rather they just forget about him tbh
on a personal note in school i was best friends with a kid who reminds me of gene (except a lot quieter and more introverted. very sweet kid) and he didnt have any male friends he exclusively hung around girls (and mee :3) and he grew up to be a gay effeminate fat man so it feels almost like they're trying to erase certain aspects of gene's personality and make him less i dont know uhh gnc in that specific way and make him more of a stereotypical nerd which he has NEVER been. i dont think that was their intention but that kinda rubs me the wrong way too
there isnt anything wrong with liking alex or his character Personally i do not enjoy episodes with him in them and i feel like he was mostly a bad writing decision but luckily they dont bring him into episodes too often (although they didnt seem too interested in using secondary characters at all in season thirteen so who knows)

Roswell, New Mexico: Fly (4x02)
Allie Meyers is a lesbian, the gays are WINNING this pride month.
Cons:
So, this isn't something that's going to change ever, and I know complaining about it is fruitless, but the one thing I want this show to deliver on is more group scenes where all of our characters get to hang out, or at least we get to see different group combos, and it almost never happens! Like, sure, it's cool that Alex was briefly in a scene with Max and Dallas, but I want more of that energy. Particularly, Kyle is going on dates with some random new woman he met at the hospital, and I don't want Kyle to be cut off and in his own little bubble like he was for so much of season two. More group scenes, please!
I like Anatsa just fine, but something in her story-line, the amount of antagonism between Max and Anatsa, just didn't quite seem balanced to me. That exchange was painted as if Anatsa was being unreasonable, and maybe she was, but Max jumped to a level of aggression that wasn't really properly explained. This episode also made me realize how badly I miss Max and Isobel's relationship. We haven't seen them spend any time together this season and I hope that changes soon.
Also, this isn't really a mark against this particular episode, but I want it noted for the record that I miss my girl Rosa!
Pros:
Okay, where to start? In terms of plot news, while I'm never going to be super interested in all the new guest characters the way I am in our core cast, so far I find Bonnie, Clyde, and Tezca to have enough going on that they do intrigue me. Their connection to Jones is appropriately sinister, and I think it will be fun to see Michael and some of the others bounce off Bonnie and Clyde and interact with new alien characters. Could be fun to learn more!
While I expressed some trepidation about where they're going with Anatsa's character, I still do enjoy that she's tenacious and good at her job, and I like how the whole situation is challenging Isobel to think about her priorities and how she wants this relationship to work moving forward. It was really tough to see her using her mind powers to nudge Anatsa away from the story. We know that Isobel has grown and changed from the person she was at the start of the show, but there are still moments when she's going to make choices we don't approve of. Also, this line was a real winner: "In the six months we have shared a bed, you have never once missed a target." LOL Isobel, get it, girl.
Liz's subplot this week is about how much she loves doing science, but also how much she wants to improve as a teacher and mentor. We meet Allie Meyers's wife, a woman named Shivani. She seems a little too good to be true, offering Liz all the right advice and opportunities to learn more about alien shenanigans. But it was sweet to see Liz so enthusiastic. She helps her troubled student Vanessa find some scholarships and get a job at the diner to help make some extra cash. (I loved Arturo in this episode, too, he's just giving new waitressing jobs to all sorts of people!)
Max and Cam and Dallas are on the case after Bonnie and Clyde, which leads to a lot of interesting developments. Max doesn't manage to get any closer to answers, other than finding out that Bonnie and Clyde are indeed Jones's contingency plan, the people he contacted at the end of the last season before his death. That's spooky! We got an Opheuchus reference, and Max pretending to be Jones. I loved Max and Liz's final scene of the episode where they rehash the events of their days, each encouraging the other on their career paths. Seeing both Malex and Echo in a place where even with external conflict looming, they can support one another and be solid in their love, is honestly so refreshing and fun!
Cam and Dallas honestly had really good vibes? Last week I said I wasn't mad about Dallas/Maria, but honestly I think I liked the chemistry here a little better. Cam asking Max: "Is he into cornhole at the Pony, or darts at Planet Seven?" was so funny. And Cam flirting by thinking dirty thoughts at Dallas is a real hoot. For now it looks like Dallas is turning her down, and if Cam is only a guest star, destined to leave Roswell again soon, I guess that makes sense. I just really liked all their little moments.
Dallas is coming into his own and finding his purpose. I like that he took a stand and refused to let Max brush him off, and that he proved to be an asset in the investigation!
Obviously we're going to end with all the Michael stuff because he's my fave and I yam what I yam, etc. etc.
First of all, Michael and Liz working together is so cute. They had an adorable excited energy in their quick little scene together, and Liz patting his face as she rushes out the door just gives off such sibling energy. You love to see it!
And then there's Malex. I love that we start off with a bit of a disagreement between them. Alex wants to take the consul to Deep Sky to run analysis, which will help him complete his work faster. Michael is resistant, saying that since it's a piece of his home, he doesn't want to put it into Deep Sky's hands. Alex accepts this, but you can tell he's a little hurt. This is what I'm really liking about both of our main couples this season so far. Like, yes, they have their moments of tension and everything isn't soft gooey loveliness the whole time, but they're okay! There's no big fight, no storming off. This scene, which has a conflict between them in it, also has adorable forehead touching and Alex calling Michael "my alien." So... that's the cutest shit I've ever seen, go ahead and jot that down.
The Sanders conversation with Michael was another highlight, I love all the surrogate dad vibes. Sanders calling Alex Michael's "pretty lookin' fella" is so FUNNY and perfect. He gives Michael exactly the encouragement he needs, and reminds Michael that Alex loves him. We're at this point in the story where the fact that they're together and in love can no longer be disputed, but there's still hardship to overcome. Honestly that's the perfect place for them to be, and it's a lot of fun to watch it play out.
Finally, we get one of the most cheesy, overwrought, ridiculous Malex scenes we've ever had in this whole show and you know what? I am not complaining about it. "I trust you to take care of my dreams"... what a bonkers romantic thing to say, Michael. And Alex coming back with "Your dreams, and your heart. Always." Also this is a smaller thing, but Alex uses Michael's first name in this scene which is always a special treat. And Michael gives him JEWELRY, and not just jewelry, but a necklace that joins to his own, made of the first alien glass he ever found. This precious piece of his home that means the world to him, and he's giving it to Alex, telling him that he is his home now. Y'all... wow, it's so much, it's a bounty the likes of which I'm not used to receiving.
I know this season wasn't written to necessarily be the last, but the amount of callbacks they're putting into the romances would make you think otherwise. The home motif continues for Malex, and you've got "the pieces want to be together". I'm also very emo about the two of them just constantly grabbing at each other's faces and arms whenever they're within reach of each other. It's just so cute, like they want to be touching all the time. From within the story, the gravitas of this scene is kind of funny. Why are they getting so choked up about this? Whatever, they're just sappy and in love I guess. But from a viewer's perspective I was immediately like: "oh shit, something's about to happen to Alex."
I know there are some people already upset that Alex has been kidnapped because they worry that he might be gone for more of the season than we're used to from past years. I really have no idea if that's the case or not, I know Tyler had health issues that they had to work around, and this certainly would be a way to take him out of the show for a while if they needed to do that. But setting that aside, I'm honestly TOTALLY HAPPY with this development from a plot perspective.
Because, like, Michael's a main character, and Alex is his boyfriend who he lives with. Last season it was already annoying whenever plot stuff was happening and they had to give Michael dialogue explaining that Alex was offscreen somewhere doing something super important, you guys, I promise. It was strange and unnatural that he wouldn't have been around for some of the scenes he was absent from. Now this? This is a setup to have the episodes sans-Alex be in the vein of a 2x11 Feral!Michael Guerin episode, rather than an episode like 3x11 where Alex is neither seen nor mentioned for no discernable reason. Alex has been kidnapped and it's going to directly tie into the A-plot of the season. We're going to get to see the moment that Michael realizes something has happened to Alex. If we're very, very, lucky, we might even get to see the other characters who are supposed to be his close friends, giving a damn about his plight. (Sorry, that was salty, I just wish the show remembered that Maria and Liz and Kyle are all Alex's friends lol.)
Point being, I'm going to miss Alex for however long he's gone, I always do. I'm worried about him, too! And guess who else misses him? Guess who else is going to worry about him? Michael! And we get to see it! It's like Christmas has come early.
So yeah! Honestly, if I wanted to grade this show on the plot developments or whatever, I wouldn't be as kind to it. There's nothing mind-blowing or exciting about the new aliens and their plans. But I don't watch the show for that. I watch the show for the relationships, and that means I get to say this episode fucking rules and I'm very pleased about everything that's developing here. Malex has matching necklaces, man, they are so in love. Embarrassing for them.

Can you explain Leah and Daryl’s relationship and what happens? I have no way of watching season 11. I don’t mind spoilers so I was hoping you’d be willing to explain.
Hi! So I am assuming you want me to just start from the beginning of their relationship?
Tbh I skipped Find Me (aka the episode in season 10 that introduces Leah) because I just couldn't do it but I think I have a pretty good understanding of their relationship. Added a cut because this is long. SPOILERS FOR SEASON 11.
So basically Daryl met this lady (Leah) in the woods a few years after Rick disappeared. He was out trying to find him when he met her, and he also met Dog, who was Leah's dog. She actually captured him and tied him to a chair and held a gun at him lol. So yeah not a great first impression.
I think it takes about a year and a half for Daryl to have run-ins with Leah (it's not really clear how well they get to know each other during that time), and after a while they develop a relationship somehow (not entirely sure how considering they had no chemistry but that's what they want us to believe). And then they're together romantically for like 10 months, but Daryl wants to leave to look for Rick again. And that makes Leah mad so she gives him an ultimatum: his family or her, basically (first red flag man. FIRST RED FLAG.)
He leaves, but he goes back to Leah's cabin the next day (presumably because he changed his mind), and she's gone. He leaves her a note that says "I belong with you. Find me." So that means that he did end up choosing Leah in the end, he just came back too late.
It is unclear whether or not Leah left voluntarily, since her cabin is left in a state of disarray. I am not sure if they ever actually resolved this later in season 11, but I also don't care lol. Anyway, Dog is left in the cabin, and he becomes Daryl's dog since Leah is gone now.
Then flash forward another couple of years later to the beginning of season 11, just after the end of the Whisperer war. Daryl and the others are on a mission to get food for the war-torn Alexandria, and Maggie is leading them to her old community, Meridian, in the hopes of getting food from there. Meridian was taken by a mysterious, hostile group called the Reapers.
On their way there, the Reapers start hunting them, and that results in the group getting split up. Daryl and Dog get split up on their own, and he runs into a Reaper that turns out to be... Leah! DUN DUN DUN. Anyway yeah Leah is a Reaper and the righthand woman of the leader, Pope. Leah was also a Reaper before she met Daryl, too, so basically Leah is a shitty person, and now we're really realizing that she's a shitty person, since she has been running around with these militarized assholes.
And then they capture Daryl against his will, torturing him to get information about Maggie and the group he was with, though Daryl concocts a lie, saying that he doesn't know them and that he was just traveling with them. He is doing this because he wants to manipulate the Reapers from the inside in order to get them off Maggie's trail. He also uses his past relationship with Leah to his advantage so he can solidify himself in the group. Essentially, Daryl is infiltrating them and trying to get their respect so he can strike when the moment is right. I don't think that Daryl has any feelings for Leah anymore, so in the few moments where Daryl is trying to butter up Leah, I am like 99% sure that was bullshit (I know Daryl. He's my sweet meow meow I know him so well okay).
After he gets in with the Reapers, gaining Leah's trust, and by extension, Pope's trust, Daryl helps get Maggie and the others into Meridian and ambushes the Reapers, betraying Leah and basically saying that he is going to protect his family no matter what. There is a battle between the groups, until Leah and a few others are left. Daryl tries to make a deal so that Leah and the two other guys can live as long as they never come back here again and never cross paths with their group. Leah agrees, but Maggie doesn't (girlboss). She shoots the other two guys dead, and shoots Leah in the arm or something.
Daryl goes off to find Leah, and tells her that he didn't intend for it to end this way. Still, he leaves her there, as their relationship is absolutely over and they're never going to see eye to eye again. They killed each other's family, so whatever feelings they had are gone.
Leah reappears several months later, living in the woods by herself. She is recruited by Lance Hornsby to take out Maggie and her group, because Lance is pissed that Maggie isn't letting him take over Hilltop. Leah agrees (she wants revenge against Maggie), so she attacks the group and captures Maggie, who wakes up in Leah's cabin.
Leah says that she is going to kill her and has her stupid little villain monologue, during which Maggie gets untied and attacks Leah. Leah gets the upper hand and is close to killing Maggie when we see a bolt plunge into her skull. IT'S DARYL! Daryl killed Leah and saved Maggie, hurray! That's the end of Leah. <3
So yeah that's their relationship. It's so stupid and pointless. They could've done so much other shit instead of including this dumbass "love" story. I do think Daryl loved Leah at one point, but I think it didn't really last that long and it was definitely over by the time he returned to Hilltop in season 9.

So @lesbian-space-ranger and I accidentally created a new Zosan AU that we’ve been talking about since last night. A note: half of this is me summarizing, half of it is pulled directly from Discord because Cas (lesbian-space-ranger) has such great ideas.
This is a long post. I don’t feel like putting it under a read more. So. Enjoy. Or keep scrolling. Either works.
So this post happened
Tumblr media
These roles just came to me. Didn’t need to give it much thought because Sanji has the appearance and demeanor of a lead singer and I like the idea of him using his skilled hands to play piano at the same time.
I also watched the movie Rocketman earlier in the week. You know, that Elton John biopic. I adored it and it’s been heavy on my mind lately and I liked the idea of Sanji giving a high energy performance from the piano. (Sir Elton John’s music comes into play later.)
And as for Zoro, I find the bass and/or the beat the sexiest part of the music in a song and, naturally, I can see him rocking at either.
So I asked Cas if she had any other headcanons for this AU and this thing is too good to not share.
Yeah, so Zoro and Sanji are in a boy band with Usopp and Luffy. Luffy started the band. Luffy does guitar, Zoro is on bass, Usopp is on drums, and Sanji is on keyboard and vocals.
Nami is their manager. She works them hard and has taken a 40% cut of the profits because of the guys’ naivete and inexperience. But she’s why they took off. She booked their gigs at every venue she could manage, no matter how small.
They got their big break when Nami met Vivi, who’s a talent scout for the record label Baroque Works. Nami insisted that Vivi had to see the boys perform because they’re something else and Vivi’s heard that a thousand times, but she agreed because Nami is cute. Nami and Vivi are dating. Also, re Baroque Works: Crocodile looks like a sleazy music producer, doesn’t he? So does Doflamingo.
So Sanji is the pretty one, Luffy is the funny one, Zoro is the quiet/broody one, and Usopp is the smart one.
Zoro has a lot of deals with fitness brands, but secretly finds the famous life unfulfilling. This comes back later, so keep that in your back pocket.
Robin runs their social media. She’s so good at her job, running all of their accounts and tweeting simultaneously, you’d swear she had four sets of hands. Wink.
Franky does pyrotechnics/lighting.
Brook is their stylist.
Chopper was their first real fan. He and Zoro grew up in the same neighborhood and Chopper just always idolized him. He followed them before anyone knew their names. He was their hype man, saying encouraging things like "I know you guys are gonna be great!" He believed in them even when they didn't believe in themselves.
Usopp set up their recordings before they got signed because he’s savvy. And then Chopper would sell their crappy CDs. At these tiny gigs. Like coffeehouses and stuff.
Sanji can play keyboard because his parents forced him to play piano as a kid. They had this idea that classical music would teach him discipline and make him smarter. This is how he meets Zeff. Zeff’s your typical stern instructor, but he’s the first adult to ask Sanji what he actually wants and likes. Zeff sees Sanji’s not into it so he asks him what music he likes and Sanji tells him he likes pop, so Zeff gives Sanji a more rounded education. This includes Elton John because I say so. It did inspire me to put Sanji on keyboard, after all.
But other than being Sanji’s piano instructor, Zeff becomes the one positive adult figure in young Sanji’s life and he becomes something of a mentor figure for him. Zeff has a garden and he lets Sanji work in it with him. This garden is how Sanji gets his “little eggplant” nickname. Sanji pulls an eggplant out before it’s ready and it’s so small and pitiful and Zeff won’t let him live it down. Like, Sanji keeps in touch with Zeff even into adulthood and after he makes it big and he still calls Sanji little eggplant.
Zoro and Sanji are always doing that, "Kind of flirting, not really” thing on stage.  Sanji is always like walking up to Zoro on stage and acting like he's going to kiss him but pushing him away at the last moment. And it's this huge mystery whether they're actually an item or not. This comes from Nami. Sanji and Zoro have this natural chemistry with each other that leads to speculation and Nami, knowing how boy band fan bases work, saw dollar signs. But it’s not just pragmatism on her part; she knows that one cannot simply go up to Zoro and Sanji and say “You obviously like each other. You should date.” So she makes money and helps her friends find happiness.
Usopp has speculation going on as well. People are always confused as to who he’s dating. Tabloids keep being like "Usopp dumped Nami and is now dating Luffy!" "Luffy Scorned?" "Luffy ditches Usopp and steals his girl!" And they just think the entire thing is hilarious. They collect headlines. The answer is Usopp is dating Luffy and Nami and Luffy and Nami just become really affectionate with each other after dating Usopp long enough. Also Nami is dating Vivi, like I mentioned, and sometimes Nami brings her on as a plus one.
Sanji and Zoro keep giving conflicting answers about their relationship status. Like they'll tell one person they hate each other and another person they're gonna get married someday. Sanji has to walk this fine line of being "in love" with all of his female fans and also "in love" with Zoro. Or not. Who knows? Like Sanji enjoys the attention but he really really plays shit up for his fangirls. This makes Sanji even more popular. Just picture pages upon pages of Sanji/Reader and “Zanji” fics on Wattpad. Nami is one smart lady. "I am the smartest, prettiest, most clever person alive."
Zosan getting together really is just a bunch of Fake Dating tropes. At first it really is just to get more press for the band. Nami schemes with Usopp and Robin to push them together. Robin's a social media genius and knows how to craft tweets and Instagram posts that fans will overanalyze.
Meanwhile eventually Zoro and Sanji admit to each other they have actual feelings and one day Usopp finds Sanji sleeping in Zoro's bed, both of them completely tuckered out. But they don’t know Nami crafted this. They just come clean and hope she won't be mad and she's like, "Yes! Finally!" and they're like "What?" and she's like, "I've been waiting for you two to realize you have actual feelings. Did you really think I'd just use you for profit like that?" and they're both like "Yes" "Of course"
Zoro’s mad at her for meddling. Secretly he’s grateful, but he doesn’t want to give her the satisfaction and he’s yelling until Sanji grabs his hand and he just calms down.
And to bring Elton John back into the picture, just picture Sanji doing a cover of “Your Song” and uploading it online and thinking about Zoro. Naturally the comments are abuzz with people speculating that he’s singing about Zoro. And like. Onstage Sanji does his rendition and sends these small glances Zoro’s way, partially because he knows it’ll get the band a lot of attention, partially because that song is sweet and beautiful and it’s such a simple way to explain his feelings. (There is a reason why Moulin Rouge included it!!) I imagine this happens before they come clean to each other. Like, Zoro comes to him and is all “I keep thinking about that song you did...” And they go from there.
And eventually the band comes to its natural end.
Usopp goes solo and flourishes, working as a songwriter and a producer. He wrote the band’s songs and he’s had a drum kit since he was, like, ten and he can make his own beats. He’s not the singing type (though he is good at it and could reach new heights if he came out of his shell), so he’s the kind of artist who makes the beat and then gets super famous pop singers to feature on his tracks. But he also writes songs for other singers and is so good at it and produces other artists’ tracks. I also like the idea that he’s taught himself to play multiple instruments, but he prefers the drums/percussion. He totally played percussion in school and was in marching band. I was in marching band for one year. I loathed every second of it, but I know he’d be phenomenal in drum corps.
Luffy isn’t much in music anymore, but he keeps himself busy. He’s something of an influencer, the kind of celebrity who gets paid to wear fashion brands’ clothing. He’s also Usopp’s trophy husband, living off the money he made off the band. Usopp grew wise to Nami’s antics and made sure he and Luffy would live comfortably for the rest of their lives, even if Usopp were to retire. Luffy also is secretly a Buzzfeed journalist because it’s fun for him to write these hit articles and people not know it’s him because he’s writing on this super bland pseudonym.
And then there’s Zosan. They have a falling out after the band splits and go their separate ways.
Sanji quits being a professional singer because he’s tired of the prying into his personal life, but he still mentors and/or teaches. He has a string of girlfriends and finds no fulfillment in those relationships because the women are only interested in his celebrity.
And they aren’t Zoro.
Zoro tried branching off into commercials for fitness, but his heart wasn’t in it. He kind of takes up ranching on a whim and learns that he’s really good at it. He likes the physical labor, the quiet, being away from it all, nobody knowing his name. He doesn’t pursue anyone after Sanji because he feels like if it’s meant to be, someone will appear.
And Sanji does.
Sanji finds out where Zoro is through Luffy. So he makes his way to the ranch and finds Zoro and Sanji is all “Come back. I miss you.”
And there’s just a lot of soft Zosan content during Sanji’s visit. Sanji’s always been afraid of horses, but he’s not afraid when he’s with Zoro, and Zoro teaches him they can be gentle creatures, it’s just that you just have to respect them. (Ha. Get it?) Zoro takes Sanji on a ride and they go out and he takes him up the mountain and shows him how beautiful the view is. Sanji's watching the sunset and he's like, "Damn that's the prettiest thing I've ever seen." And Zoro is looking at Sanji and he says, "It sure is." And Sanji's like, "you're not... even looking." And Zoro's like, "No, I'm looking alright. Prettiest thing I've ever seen for sure."
More soft things like Zoro taking off his cowboy hat and putting it on Sanji. Them sitting by the fire, Zoro playing acoustic while Sanji sings. Whenever people see them they’ll ask them if they’re musicians and they share a knowing smile and say “Yeah. Something like that.”
And Zoro convinces Sanji to move out there with him. The others come to visit. Luffy and Chopper are obsessed with the cows and horses and the chickens. Luffy wants, like, eight pet chickens. Usopp is skeptical. Doesn’t believe Lu can look after a pet.
And it kind of ends there. It was us going back and forth, oftentimes out of chronological order, and so here I am putting it all together because it’s too good not to share. But it was a lot of fun.

Hey!! I just wanted to ask if you could write a Harry x evie fic, maybe one where they're trying to hide their relationship from their friends? Thanks!!
Oh Anony, this was so much fun to write. Thank you for the prompt. Here you are, hope you enjoy it.
Title: Subtle you are not AKA The Five Times Evie and Harry tried to keep their relationship a secret Plus the one time they failed.Word Count: 3216Rated: G.Note: On AO3
I. Ben
Ben knew he was late. The appointment he’d set up with Evie had been for noon, but of course the meeting with the council had went over the allotted time. Grumpy having taken an instant dislike to something Genie had suggested and things only escalated from there. Ben had to defuse the situation before things got out of hand.
Fifteen minutes later and he finally arrived at Evie’s dormroom. He only hoped she wasn’t too angry with him for making her wait. Ben knocked lightly to announce his presence, giving the doorknob a quick twist, surprised when the door didn’t budge. He waited a moment and listened only to hear a soft giggle followed by someone shushing another.
“Evie, I’m sorry that I’m late. The meeting got a little hairy towards the end but I was able to settle things. I hope you aren’t mad. Evie?” Ben’s smile wilted, staring at the closed door, “if you’re busy I can come back another time.” Another giggle was his only response. The young king just making out some rustling before Evie gave him an answer.
“No, it’s fine Ben. I was just working on another commission. Give me a second and I’ll let you in.”
Ben nodded, despite knowing she couldn’t see him. Rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet, the king waited, greeting any student who happened to pass by.
“Sorry for making you wait, Ben,” an innocent smile graced Evie’s lips as she pulled open the door. Ben’s brow rose as he took in her appearance. Her normally perfect hair was in disarray, though it looked like she had tried to calm it down before answering the door. The top she wore was slightly skewed, delicate hands quickly working to smooth out a few wrinkles.
He waved her off her apology with a smile, thinking nothing more of it, “no I’m sorry. We made this appointment and I was the one late.”
“Yer majesty,” Harry cooly addressed from where he lounged on Evie’s bed, giving the king pause. If he noticed the lack of boots and socks on the pirates feet, he didn’t say a thing.
“Don’t mind him,” Evie reached for his hand, pulling him towards the little platform for him to stand. Ben didn’t miss how her eyes lit up when she looked at the pirate. “He was helping me with one of my latest orders.”
She waved to the beautiful blue cape draped across Mal’s bed.
“For Chad?”
Evie nodded, ignoring the snort that came from her bed, “how can you tell?”
Ben laughed, “peacock feathers gave it away.”
Evie clapped her hands together, “right! Well let’s get started on that new suit!”
II. Gil
Gil growled in frustration. He just wasn’t getting this problem. Now that he was in Auradon he was getting much but with his studies. There were still a lot he couldn’t grasp yet, like this damn chemistry problem. He’d been trying to do it on his own for five minutes now, but he wasn’t having any luck. Thank god, Evie had come over to help him and Harry with their work.
“Evie, I still don’t get this,” Gil mumbled, looking up from the worksheet.
The blue haired princess didn’t reply. Instead all her attention was focused on Harry, the pair sitting impossibly close. Evie’s hand rested casually on the pirates knee and Harry’s arm was draped loosely around her shoulder. She giggled to something he couldn’t hear, the brightest smile on her lips as she looked into Harry’s eyes.
“You know,” Gil coughed, head tilting to one side as he observed them. They jumped apart, Evie making as much space between them as she could as Harry scowled at him. “You two would make a pretty cute couple.”
Evie giggled nervously, tucking a strand of her behind her ear, “we wouldn’t. We are far to different.”
He only shrugged, “I think you fit pretty well. Harry behaves best when you’re around. Your friendship is good for him.”
“Hey!” Harry growled, fingering drumming angrily against the top of his knee, “ye need to shut up.”
Gil watched silently as Evie’s fingers brushed against Harry’s arm, his friend’s anger  instantly melting away. Harry huffed, looking back at the girl from the corner of his eye. “See,” he exclaimed, hands thrusted out towards them, “if I didn’t know any better I’d think you two were already dating.”
Evie caught one of his hands in her, giving it a gently pat, “don’t be silly, Gil.”
He frowned, “I may not be the brightest but I’m pretty damn observant.”
And he was. He noticed things and there had to something more here. They acted so different around each other. How couldn’t someone assume anything else.
“Didn’t ye have a question ye needed answered?” Harry drawled.
Gil blinked, looking down at his forgotten worksheet. How could he forget? All thoughts about Evie and Harry’s questionable relationship leaving his mind, “Right! Evie, I can’t wrap my brain around this problem.”
He moved closer to the girl, missing the relieved looks passed between the pair.
III. Jay
Jay was going to kill him. Harry was late to R.O.A.R practice yet again, the third time that week. If he wasn’t such a great asset to the team, he was sure Lonnie would have kicked him off the team and if he keeps it up she just might. She wouldn’t blame her if she decided too.
He doesn’t get why he’s the one being sent out to try and find the skeevy pirate when Gil or even Uma could go and hunt for him. He was their best friend after all, but no apparently it was his job to babysit the other boy.
He was beginning to imagine all the ways he could mess with the pirate during practice when he heard the giggling. The tourney field was empty with most the players in the gym for R.O.A.R practice, but that was definitely a giggle coming from the bleachers. He’d hate to scare whoever it was but he really needed to find Harry before Lonnie killed him.
“Harry, you’re going to be late” a familiar voice giggled.
“Few more minutes,” Harry’s thick drawl answered, “they won’t miss me.”
Busted. Jay grinned, making a beeline for the bleachers. “Think you’re so smooth. Let’s go Casanova.” Jay frowned when the pair came into sight. Evie’s back was pressed against the frame of the bleachers with Harry’s arm overhead as he leaned in. The pair stared back at  him wide-eyed.
Jay’s brow rose in question, arms crossing over his chest, “this is new.”
Evie smiled innocently at him as Harry slowly took a step away from her, “Jay, how are you?”
“Oh I was great. All ready for R.O.A.R practice but you know we’re missing a member so I had to go out and hunt him down,” Jay glared pointedly at the grinning pirate.
Harry shrugged, “What can I say mate? Princess needed help with some lines. What kind of pirate would I be if I didn’t help.”
Jay scowled at him, glancing between the two. Evie’s cheeks had a much darker tint to them than normal and Jay hadn’t missed the anger that had lurked in Harry’s eyes when he interrupted. He was being lied to.
“Pirates aren’t helpful,” he snapped back, “ but whatever. Lonnie wants you to stop being late to practice. So if I can steal you away for a few hours, you can come back and finish whatever THIS is.”
Evie straightened herself, leaning up to whisper something quickly to the pirate. Jay’s eyes narrowed as Harry nodded, a soft expression creeping into his eyes as the girl walked away from her.
“We were just finishing up. Good luck with practice!” She gave his arm a friendly pat, humming happily to herself as she left.
Jay turned a questioning brow to Harry, the pirate simply tossing an irritating grin his way with a shrug.
“Can’t keep sweet Lonnie waitin’ can we?”
IV. Carlos
Carlos was going to kill him. He could have sworn Jay had made Chad return all the spare keys he had made of the room. But he he was only a few steps away from his opened door. Jay was off running R.O.A.R strategies with Lonnie and Li’l Shang. Mal and Evie normally let them know ahead of time if they were going to invade the room, so there was clearly only one possible person. Chad apparently held out on them.
“Chad I swear to all that’s high that I’m just going to let Jay pummel you,” Carlos ranted, ready to give his own pummeling to the invasive Prince, “you aren’t Chad.” He frowned, staring at the familiar red covered back. The pirate groaned, hastily closing something in front of him before glaring at Carlos from over his shoulder.
“Last I checked, mate, I wasn’t that pompous prince.”
“I can see that, mate,” Carlos mocked, taking the briefest steps back when Harry turned to face him. The shorter boy squared his shoulders, head held high like Jay taught him. This was his room and Harry was the trespasser, he couldn’t show fear. “But seriously man, what are you doing in my room? How’d you even get in here?” Carlos quickly looked at the doorknob to see if it’d be tempered with.
Harry rolled his eyes and turned away, palms flat on the table housing the 3D printer, “got a key.”
Unbelievable. He really need to talk to Ben about possibly installing some sort of alarm system for their room. He was getting tired of the unwanted visitors.
“What are you making anyway?” Carlos approached, disappointed when Harry reached into the machine and quickly snatched the item inside. It was small, fitting perfectly into the pirate’s palm.
“It’s nothing for ye to worry about pup,” Harry carefully tucked the item away, “if ye don’t mind I have some place to be.” The pirate left with a tip of his hat.
Carlos shook his head, hurrying to his machine to find a folded piece of paper lying beside the controller. Curious Carlos unfolded it surprised to see the design for a ring; one with a braided ring band and a heart shaped sapphire in the middle with four tiny leaf shaped rubies on both sides. It was beautiful and Carlos could only imagine the cost if Harry had actually bought a real one. Above the ring he could just make out the pirate’s sloppy handwriting, Evie.
“That belongs to me,” Harry growled, snatching the paper from Carlos’ hand, he clenched it tightly, “what did ye see?”
Carlos rose his hands in surrender, “she’s going to love it.”
Harry gave a slight shrug, “ah agree. CJ will love it.”
“No, I meant…you made it for Evie, right?” Carlos asked, watching as Harry’s frown deepened, “it might not be the real thing, but she’ll love it. Giving it to her for her birthday?”
Harry scoffed, crumpling the paper in his hand before stuffing into his back pocket, “it’s for me sister, not the little blue berry princess.”
“Right,” Carlos sounded unconvinced. He knows what he saw, but if Harry wants to play he’d let him. The pirate snarled in response, leaving in a flourish of angry red.
V. Mal and Uma
Mal growled, punching her pillow angrily. Sitting up evil glared at the other girl through the darkness. Evie froze on her way to the door.
“You need to work on your sneaking skills, E,” Mal deadpanned, watching her best friend sag in defeat, “Evie, where are you going at this hour?”
“Dizzy just has a bit of an emergency,” Evie answered, as she continued towards the door, “I’ll only be a few minutes. Promise!”
The girl was out the door before Mal could disagree. Mal frowns, concerned over her friends’ strange behaviour. For the last few days, Evie had been sneaking out at ungodly hours. She thought she was sneaky but everytime Mal had woken up and just let her go. Not tonight. She didn’t believe for a second that Dizzy needed her at two am. Mal was up and out of bed in minutes, she needed to hurry before Evie got too far ahead. It would defeat the purpose if she lost her target before finding out what she needed to know.
As quiet as a mouse Mal followed her blue loving best friend, Evie glancing this way and that as she made her way through the corridors. Where are you going that you’re so worried about being followed? Mal wondered as Evie continued to look over her shoulder. The girl stopped just outside the double doors leading to the kitchen, she gave one final look around before a hand shot out pulling her in.
Mal frowned, rushing forward to help her friend. Throwing open the door, Mal glanced around in confession. The kitchen was empty. Everything left untouched. Where was Evie?
“Gotcha now, Harry!” Uma whispered, the young sea-witch scowling at the sight of Mal, “what are you doing here?”
“Looking for Evie,” Mal answered, crossing her arms, “not that it’s any of your business. Lose your first mate?”
Uma mimicked her pose, head held high and arms crossed, “he’s been sneaking out. I wanted to see what he’s been off doing.”
Mal hummed, glancing around the kitchen once more hoping for some evidence of Evie to pop up, “Evie’s been disappearing to. I followed her into the kitchen, but clearly,” she waved her arms out around her, “no Evie.”
“And no Harry,” Uma grumbled.
“You don’t think they went off together?” Mal’s nose scrunched up in distaste, holding up a hand to stop Uma from answering, “Ew, actually don’t answer that. I don’t want to know what they’re doing. Not at two in morning. I’m going back to bed and giving her the benefit of the doubt. I’ll bother her about it later. For now I need to keep my sanity.”
Uma could only laugh as Mal brushed pass her in a hurry.
+ VI. Busted
“Careful Princess,” Harry laughed, catching her before she fell.
Evie silently cursed the raised branch that caused her to trip. She supposed it was bound to happen at least once as they made their way to the Enchanted Lake, her excitement getting the better of her. But Harry steadied her, his hand securely in hers as they continued down the path. She sighed happily, taking in the beauty of the forest at the went.
After hearing all about Ben’s first date with Mal, Evie had wanted nothing more than to see the Lake for herself, especially with someone she cared for. And here she was, hand in hand with her boyfriend going to that very spot. She hadn’t expected much for her birthday. Actually she expected nothing at all, but Harry surprised her with the most beautiful ring. One she already had on her finger to admire. She knew it wasn’t real. But it was a promise, a promise of so much more. Evie thought the ring was all but Harry had just laughed, taking her hand and leading her out of Auradon Prep. A picnic he had said, teasing her over her sappy desire. She was beside herself.
“There it is, love,” Harry pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
Evie gasped. It was just as gorgeous as Mal had described it. The water was so clear she could see all the colorful rocks beneath. The remains of a stone gazebo stood decorated with a Happy Birthday banner, blue and red streamers lacing down each of the three stone pillars with matching balloons securely tethered down to rocks. In the center, three large picnic baskets sat over a glittering blue blanket.
“Harry, it’s beautiful. You did all this for me?” She gave his hand a squeeze, turning to face him confusion dancing over his feature.
“Well I did do th-” she reached up, standing on her tiptoes to promptly cut him off with a kiss. It was sweet and tender, making her wish they could stay like this forever.
“Surprise!”
They drew apart, staring wide-eyed at the various teens coming out of hiding. Popping up from behind bushes and stepping out from behind trees, their friends stared back with various expressions.
“Bloody hell! We can’t get a moment’s peace from ye lot” Harry cursed, glaring. Evie blushed, burying her face into the lapels of Harry’s leather jacket.
“Called it” Uma gleefully announced, wiggling her fingers at Mal, “pay up.” Mal grumbled, passing over a few bills.
“What are you guys doing here?” Evie asked, her question muffled.
Carlos rubbed the back of his neck, “we wanted to throw you a surprise party for your birthday, but we couldn’t figure out where we wanted to have it. Gil kept hearing Harry mutter about surprising you at the Enchanted Lake so we figured why not. We got the decorations up and we’ve been waiting.”
Evie smiled, finally facing her friends, “how sweet of you guys. Thank you.” Harry’s arm wound around her waist, “so this wasn’t you?”
Harry stared at something of to the side, “ah made a picnic for us. The rest all ‘em apparently.”
She couldn’t help the laughter the bubbled from within at his pout. Forgetting about the current audience, Evie took his face between her hands and gently pulled him down. The pirate rested his forehead against hers, he took one of her hands in his and kissed her palm.
“It’s great to finally have this all confirmed,” Carlos exclaimed, “and you gave her the ring! I told you she’d love it.”
The spell temporarily broken, Evie pulled away to turn back to her friends. “You knew about us?”
Jay scoffed, “you two aren’t exactly subtle about it.”
Evie sighed in disappointment, “I thought we were doing a pretty good job at hiding it.”
Harry shrugged, “I wasn’t really tryin’ to hide.”
Mal walked up to the pair, taking Evie’s hand in hers as she gently pulled her out of Harry’s arms. “E, why did you think you need to hide your relationship with Harry?”
“We…I thought it was for the best,” Evie smiled, sadly, “there’s still a bit of a riff between all of us. I didn’t want to cause anything to trigger anything war.”
Ben smiled reassuringly, the young kid coming to Mal’s side and taking Evie’s other hand in his. “Evie, we want nothing more than for you to be happy.”
“And if that’s with Harry,” Uma having made her own way over to Harry’s side, gave her first mate a playful jab in the ribs with a teasing grin, “and heaven only knows why, than be happy.”
“You guys,” Evie gave Ben and Mal’s hand a squeeze, tears blurring her vision.
“E don’t cry. It’s your birthday.”
Mal swept the girl into a tight hug. Evie’s face pressed into the girl’s shoulder, those pesky tears of joy not wanting to stop. She sighed happily as a familiar warm presence stood behind her, his arms wrapping securely around her waist as he rested his head on hers. One of by her friends surrounded them, just becoming a big entanglement of limbs as they all wished congratulations and support.
Best Birthday Ever.
