Asogi

He almost always has a knowing smile on his face. Like he knows something you don't. It really doesn't help if you have anxiety or if you actually are hiding something from him because he just looks like he knows. And if you ask him about it, you just get a cheeky smile and a, "Whatever do you mean?"

Will drop everything to help you with whatever you need. Even if he thinks it's a bit silly, he won't say anything, just offers his help. Of course, if you say you can do it then he won't push.

He keeps to himself mostly, not really sharing his thoughts on things. But he does check up on you quite often, wanting to make sure you're alright. It's like he's noticing things that he doesn't want to say and instead giving you the opportunity to speak up.

Herlock

Be prepared to constantly be interrupted with whatever you're doing because he needs attention. He really is like an overexcited puppy because look at what he just made! Look at this new case he got and how quickly he solved it!

Lots of sleeping alone at nights. Not because he doesn't want to lay next to you and cuddle, but because the man does NOT sleep. He's always pushing himself and working on something. Don't worry, he has strict "Okay if I take 10 minute to rest now then it gives me an extra 20 minutes for his thing--" That is if he even follows through with the resting.

There are times when you come home and he's in his depressed state. He's moping about something failing and you coming home does make him a bit better, but he really needs someone to listen to him and talk to. Even if you don't quite give him a solution, you can definitely give him ideas that help pull him out of it and suddenly he's back to being a happy puppy.

Klavier

Music is constantly playing. Usually the same genre, but now and then he switches it up for inspiration or because you ask nicely. The volume of the music also changes if he's trying to work or if you think it's too loud/soft. But music is always playing.

Likewise, get used to hearing him practicing guitar. Sometimes he's just strumming a tune that got stuck in his head, sometimes he sees you and gives a teasing smile before going into some improv for a super cheesy love song, and sometimes he is tearing his hair out because he cannot figure out how to write a certain song and it's just angry grumbling.

Despite the fact that Klavier tries to seem rather easy-going, there are moments that only you get to see where he needs you to hold him and just be there for him. Between his brother, his band, and the fact that his mentor was killed, well he needs a shoulder to lean on when the thoughts get to be too much.

Phoenix

You can expect quite a few twisted jokes from him. He'll be reading the morning paper and give a hum about someone falling to their death before he retorts, "I would've survived that fall."

Speaking of that, you become a regular at the hospital. They learn your name, give you cheery smiles, and then point you in the direction of Phoenix's room because he is so bad at avoiding being hurt. He promises you that isn't trying to be a mummy with all his bandages, but it's just his luck.

Phoenix really wishes he can have his phone on silent, but with his job that's not possible. So when you two are out on a nice date or relaxing at home, there are many times when it's interrupted by someone needing an attorney. But most of the time the interruptions are from Maya or Athena or one of the people that has pretty much become family. He does his best to be nice with telling them he's busy, but more often than not you get pulled along to whatever shenanigans they've gotten themselves into.

i am tired !! but i also have a drive to write,, random sleep hcs! they are my forte.. my light atm. i had a desire to write and this is what happens

-> phoenix: the bed hog. takes up so much space that you will be curled into a ball at the edge, praying that you don’t fall off in the middle of the night. bonus! he’s also a huge cuddler! so while you have no space, you also have a 5’8” man curled up beside you, wanting to be as close as possible. if he feels you drift away, he inches closer.. there is no escape

-> miles: very silent, and very still. he is not very touchy at night as he values his sleep time. he’ll lay on his side of the bed, on his back, and just still. honestly, you might think he’s dead by how little he moves. occasionally, he’ll have nightmares that jolt him awake. but other than that he tends to keep to himself at night.

-> apollo: SNORES. SO. LOUDLY. you’re going to need one of those beds that automatically adjusts when one person in the bed is snoring because holy crap. his chords of steel shine brightly as he snores the night away. he’s a very heavy sleeper too, so even when you try to jostle him awake to shut him up, he doesn’t.

-> athena: takes her “bedtime” a little too seriously. she has a very strict bedtime that she follows every single night, and hates to disrupt it! good sleep means good health! she will routinely be in bed by the same time every night, and wake up at the same time every day. she likes to drag you to bed with her because what’s a good night’s rest without cuddling your partner, huh?

-> klavier: a huge cuddle bug. this man.. is so touchy. you cannot be within a foot of him and not have him touching you in some way. he refuses to sleep without you, and insists on holding you as tightly as possible. will whine and complain if you have to get up at any point throughout the night, or get up earlier than him. he just doesn’t sleep as well without his love in his arms!

-> maya: starfishes on the bed. she always flips onto the bed and completely spreads out. and then she’s OUT. it’s almost comical how quickly she falls asleep. most of the time, you’ll end up sleeping on the couch. on the rare times that you do fit into bed with her, she tends to steal the covers. she’ll apologize profusely the next day.

-> simon: tends to fall asleep at his desk. he’s a workaholic, and will sit as his desk for hours working. he loses track of time quickly as the sun sets without him realizing. before he knows it, his eyes are dropping as the words on the paper blend together. he’ll only realize he’s fallen asleep when you nudge him awake and drag him to bed. he’ll fall asleep practically immediately, but he’ll open his arms so you can fall asleep on his shoulder first.

-> herlock: takes forever to fall asleep. he has too much energy for this own good. his brain is always working and you have to force him to bed. however, even when he’s in bed, he will lie there awake for hours. and if he’s awake, that means he’s going to bother you! he won’t shut up until you shove a pillow in his face and beg him to stop talking. jokes on you, once he’s asleep he’s a nuisance to wake up.

-> barok: a very light sleeper. he’s always on alert, especially when he’s sleeping. being asleep means he’s vulnerable; he could be attacked at any moment. so any little noise or movement will wake him up. surprisingly, he likes to keep you within arms reach at night. he’ll never vocally admit it, but he likes knowing you’re nearby so he can protect you. likes holding your hand while sleeping.

-> kazuma: a late sleeper and an early riser. he tries not to stay up late, but work often keeps him up. he always tells you not to wait for him to go to sleep; however, he does love falling asleep next to you. there’s something very relaxing about it all. he often finds that he enjoys waking before you, too, as it brightens his mood to see your peaceful face.

I'm writing shorts drabbles as of rn bc I literally forgot how to write/ the persona of characters, so these kinda drabble are like a work out, so I'm really sorry if this is bad/off characters and sorry of a lot of these were super rushed I just couldn't think of an ending(〃＞＿＜;〃) also I'm trying a lot of aesthetic as of right now

[♡]ー ꒱・！the uptight young lawyer - RYUNOSUKE NARUHODO.

A stuttering, blushing mess was the boy; Ryunosuke Naruhodo when you accepted his love confession. He was not intense unlike a certain best friend of his when showing his affections towards you, he's sweet and charming in his own ways making sure that he's doing everything in his power to be the best lover to his beloved.

He's quite suffocating with his affections but you can live with that you think. He was in your opinion the best lover you ever had until you started noticing that a lot of your friends were drifting away from you ever since you started dating Ryunosuke, you tried your best not to think deeply about it but then you noticed the guy who used to flirt with you at campus started avoiding you like a plague, and then like a courtroom evidence started stacking off. Remember that one friend who warned you about Ryunosuke? Yea, they were now in prison for a crime. You really wanted to talk about it to Ryunosuke but all he's giving you was murky answers. Before you wanted to ask for more questions, he opposed a question,

"Do you not love me? If you do, then why are you doubting me (Y/n)?"

Ryunosuke isn't powerful or courageous but he does know his ways on words.

My, it seems like you caught the eye of the composed, yet hot-blooded Kazuma Asougi. Him being determined to claim your heart by courting you, you felt super flattered. It's not like everyday you'll see anyone declare their intention of courting someone in front of a whole crowd and better yet someone as handsome and diligent as Kazuma. 

Everyday he'll pick you up at your estate, maybe even trying to woo your parents into thinking he's a perfect partner for their child. Maybe it's his passionate words about how he's ready to climb mountains after mountains just for your soft everlasting touch. Let's say after his whole speech his name will be brought up more every time you visit or eat together with your family. 

At first you thought that this was too good to be true, Kazuma is always the first person you'll see in the morning, he'd carry all your stuff for you and even bring you gorgeous accessories, until he became quite overbearing... 

He'd act so possessive over you, making sure that every free moment of your time should be with him. He'd act so jealous whenever you're getting too close to your male or female friends. There isn't a single moment where you can't hear his name on someone's mouth and your parents didn't help either, they were always gushing about him like how he helped your mother pick up some groceries or how your father talks about how he's easy to bond with, maybe if you have siblings; younger siblings to be exact rants of how big brother Kazuma help them with their homework and after that played with them. It was too much, you want time for yourself. But you can't do that now, rejecting a man like Kazuma would not only make your parents see you with dejected eyes but also Kazuma is a stubborn man, no matter what you say or do he'll always be coming back to you. No matter what he won't back down.

Sometimes being passionate and determined can lead you to being stubborn.

How charming and unique she is; Judicial assistant Susato Mikotoba was always there for you, she was a woman who you can truly depend on, she'll always there's help you giving you new knowledge she's a determined and fierce woman if she ever hears someone talks bad about you she would be giving them a great scolding.

You were used to the smell of tobacco and sweet pastries ever since you became close to the infamous detective: Herlock Sholmes and his assistant slash adopted kid slash border Iris Wilson. He may have a reputation and name for being called a great detective but if you spend even a second with him you might even find yourself wondering if the man in front of you even called a detective after all his deductions that do not even come close to being correct it's quite concerning time to time but that's the reason what led you to be close to him. You were helping him in every job he decided to accept you helped him fill in some missing logic, little but still crucial things, that's the reason why he kept on dragging you to new cases you basically didn't even have time to do your own detective work.

While your relationship with Iris was wholesome, she'd make some of the most delicious sweets you have ever tasted, and whenever both of you have remaining time you help her bake or cook dinner It truly a heartwarming bonding with her. Or maybe there are days when you and Iris are playing with each other she might be a genius but she is still a little girl. You really tried to avoid the feeling but both of them were overbearing in their ways, you one day decided to talk to them about their behavior and how much they were taking so much of your time but whenever you looked at their eyes especially Iris's the words would just die on your mouth and eat dinner with them with a sad smile on your face, Herlock would try his best to be more comfortable around with him and Iris the sweetheart she is would try to pry those thoughts off you.

Herlock knew exactly what he was doing with the help of Iris the both of them would be like one happy family, you wouldn't leave them, right?

[♡]ー ꒱・！the boot-rising, lip service deadly prosecutor - BAROK VAN ZIEKS.

Barok Van Zieks hates you. He hated how determined you were when helping the defense clear out the defendant's name and how your eyes spark with hope when doing so. 

You made his almost dead heart slowly beat for the first time in many years, he kept on investigating you, digging information after information on you, every time you were on a new case he would also be there, and he would throw some snarky remarks towards the attorney you were working with but never towards you. Whenever he's stressed or had a bad day he'd always look at a picture of you and his heart would beat faster, he just couldn't get enough of you. 

Barok knew what he was feeling wasn't normal and he was guilty for it. But he just couldn't resist you. The last straw was when he got injured when protecting you from a gunshot, probably the person was tied to the case and didn't want anyone finding out, besides the point. He woke up with you beside him with eyes with care and concern only for him. He hates you for him making feel greedy. He hates how much he yearns for you. He also hates himself that his heart is so weak for a person that everyone and anyone could love. You're so nice, kind, caring, understanding, selfless and so strong, that he can barely stand seeing you with another man when you've just started going out with even if it's just your legal companion.

... you made the Barok van Zieks weak.

And yet he loves you for it.

Gallant! Dashing! Such compliments could be said by Rei to you, she would praise everything you do. Why should you that girl is head over heels for you, and ready to put anything including her below you, your needs will always be first! 

She's always with you making sure that you won't get hurt but if you do get hurt then get ready for an incredibly adrenaline-rushed lady, she would fuss over it even if it's a paper cut, but don't worry she didn't learn medicine for nothing so let her take care of you! 

She would be bandaging your wound while trying to keep her cool but how can she? She's touching the skin of her beloved so how can she contain her lovestruck smile. Oh, how she dreamt about this! He's an honest and hardworking man and you love him for that. Your fiance Satoru Hosonaga; a detective is such a lovely man. He's devoted to you making sure that you eat and sleep well, he's even the one making your bentos, better yet even if he's a detective he always has the time to make dinner for you. Day and night he's always on your side, ready to protect and smother you with his love. 

He would praise the floor which you've walked upon, how could he not? You were sweet and caring no wonder why he was attracted towards you, but like candy unwrapped and left unsupervised it will attract some flies, just like how your sweet honey personality attracted many suitors. Hosonaga knows his limits as a detective and the power he yields as one, he tried to be logical about it first but whenever one of your suitors were making moves on you all he sees is read and all logic are thrown out of the window, the longer he stays away from you the more he yearns of you.

Hi! Can I get some headcanons for yandere Van Zieks and Kazuma dealing with a darling who's ignoring them or being as apathetic towards them as possible

Sure thing anon!! I'll tell you I was a little stumped with this one for a while, its definitely hard to write about such an uncooperative S/O, but I really enjoyed the challenge and while I definitely didn't lose my wick as much as Van Zieks and Kazuma would have, I was getting there 😂😂

Also I didn't know if you wanted me to write for DGS 1 Kazuma or DGS 2 Kazuma because I feel like he has a lot of character development, so I'll write for DGS 1 Kazuma

🍷The idea of S/O ignoring him is a sure-fire way to test his patience and if S/O thinks that complete apathy would somehow make him change his mind and let them go, they are sorely mistaken.

🍷He understands that there has to be some kind of “settling in” period, but no matter how hard he tries, he cannot understand why S/O has resorted to such immature behaviour.

🍷At first, he might just think that S/O is just a little quiet. He’s sympathetic to the fact that it’ll take a little time for them to get situated.

🍷He would try to converse with them, to make them feel more comfortable around him. He’d discuss the estate, his childhood, his feelings, and of course he would be quick to bounce questions in relation to S/O too.

🍷But when S/O blatantly ignores his attempts at conversation, that’s when he starts to feel a little frustrated.

🍷It seems that no matter how hard he tries to play nice, S/O isn’t going along with it so he eventually resorts to scare tactics in order to create any kind of response.

🍷Barok truly loses all dignity during these attempts. He’d burst into S/O’s room in the foulest of moods, ranting and raving directly at them as he searches for any kind of reaction, in these moments of desperation he would rather invoke fear within S/O, just so he can get any sort of ledge in.

🍷Much to his disappointment, S/O would just continue to give him the same blank stare and neutral expression and it would only feed his fury further.

🍷He’d give up eventually, trying to scrape together any remainder of his dignity and self-respect, only to then (in his eyes), completely emasculate himself before S/O.

🍷He begs S/O to talk to him, to give him any sign that they are even listening to what he’s saying.

“My lamb…Please, I beg you. Could you not give me any kind of recognition? I am truly trying my hardest to maintain your favour.”

⚔Kazuma Asogi⚔

⚔While Kazuma isn’t too happy with this outcome, he definitely handles it a little better than Van Zieks would. 

⚔He feels a strong sense of duty to protect S/O, whether or not S/O wants to talk to him or acknowledge his existence won’t change this fact.

⚔Of course, he would far prefer to have S/O’s favour, especially if they are also a member of the Imperial Yumei University. 

⚔He would ask S/O why they ignore him, if he has done something to offend them then he would do his utmost best to earn their forgiveness. However, when S/O’s response to his line of questioning is to pick up the pace and leave him in the dust, he’s going to panic.

⚔Chances are, S/O is trying to ignore him because of the rumours they’ve heard about the fights that he has with other people to defend their dignity.

⚔If things don’t get any better, Kazuma might enlist the help of his dear friend, Ryunosuke to find out why they aren’t too keen on him. 

⚔After learning about S/O’s reasoning, he would be far more careful and calculated in his attempts of “protection”. 

⚔The rumours of his fighting would be quickly overshadowed by his accomplishments, he is still an exemplary student afterall.

⚔Only time will tell as to when S/O will eventually forget about the rumours they’ve heard and begin to speak to him once more, and if all else fails he would definitely not be above pulling some strings to have S/O be invited to travel to London with him.

-Iris was a good helper and at keeping secrets from our dear Hurley 

-As soon as you 2 got home you started preparing the delicious goods 

-By the time Herlock got back everything was already set and ready, with you and Iris already seated on the couch

-Whenever Barok feels like it he likes to reminisce  old stories about him and his brother as you sit next to him and listen 

-It's nice honestly to remember these nice moments,it was bittersweet nostalgia for the prosecutor 

-One thing you recalled was him and Klint playing chess together,  Klint being the older one, often had to teach little Barok the ins and outs of chess but he got the hang of it quickly 

-You decided maybe it would be nice to play a round or two of chess with him,since he spoke fondly of those memories 

-You already knew he had a chess board somewhere all you needed was a good moment to ask him 

-You yourself weren't too skillful at chess but maybe you can improve on those skills with Barok's help 

-One day you managed to catch him reading a book on a sofa, legs crossed,  completely focused, he seemed to have finished work for the day 

- " Oh hey Barok!" You call out ,a bit too excited for your liking as you enter his office " Why hello dear, you seem awfully cheerful,  might you enlighten me on what brought this excitement?" He asked closing the book after leaving a mark of where he left off " Well I've been thinking,  I remember you mentioned on how you and Klint often played chess and I was wondering if maybe you can you know… teach me a couple of tricks" you asked looking at him 

-He was surprised you remembered something from his ramblings but he quickly recovered from his initial shock, a rare smile showing on his face " Why I'd be delighted , Wait here I'll bring the board and we'll begin our little battle of wits if you will" he said before getting up and grabbed the chess board that was sitting on a stool next to his desk 

-He first explained the basics, like what piece goes where and how it moves on the board 

-The first couple of rounds he obviously beat you but he had to admit he was having fun 

-If you eventually won against him he'd praise you while you cheer in glee

-You were curious about his abilities but usually found both of yourselves busy and it eventually sort of slipped out of your mind till one day

-So on that day you came up to him and asked if about his little hobby 

-'' So mind telling me more about the whole talking fast and learing tongue twisters hobby of yours? I remember you said that once but I sorta forgot to ask about it till now hehe.." you awkward Laughed as Ryburgh looks at you with shock 

-You actually wanted to learn more!? Well he's pumped 

-" Well there are many I managed to learn back in Japan. Do you want to hear some?" He asked giddy like a little kid who just got candy 

-He also told you about the story of the speech competition and how Kazuma practically humiliated himself by not being able to say " men and women of all ages" which made you laugh at the thought of the stoic and serious student messing up so bad 

-Ryuu probably has a book with tongue twisters on him so he'd probably drag you to his room and you 2 start your little tongue twister club 

-The first couple of times you messed up pretty badly which caused both of you to laugh at your bumbling mess 

-After thousands of reading different tongue twisters you were getting the hang of it and actually had even more fun 

-Ryuunosuke usually found himself silently smiling as your eyes light up when you finally managed to say a particular tongue twister without messing up

How Kazuma Asogi Kisses You (Headcanons)

Alright, finally!  I got another set of headcanons for you all. As always, these are only my personal headcanons on the subject! They were written with a character or reader-insert in mind, and are written with 2nd person POV pronouns (you/yours).

Warnings: A brief discussion about feelings of jealousy, but otherwise nothing else comes to mind. 

Exactly how he first kisses you depends on when and where it happens. But generally speaking, his first kiss is tentative, an attempt to gauge you respond.  (Are you nervous and should he slow down/pull back, do you meet it eagerly, etc.) If you reciprocate and even deepen the kiss a little, he will respond in kind. He’s been wanting this for longer than he would care to admit, and the chance to kiss you as he’s always wanted is too tempting an offer to pass up.

How he kisses you is one way to get a glimpse of the fire inside of him, even at the stage of things where he kept himself most serene and restrained. His passionate nature bleeds through in the affection he shows you when you two are alone.

Will kiss you just about anywhere you let him. Your hands, your wrists, your forehead, your lips, your cheek, your neck, etc. His personal favorite place to kiss you is your neck, with your wrists/hands and forehead close behind.

But that said, his favorite place for you kissing him is on the lips.

He want for nothing more than to kiss you over and over. He adores having the chance for those moments alone where he can kiss you to his heart’s content. Where he can put his arms around you and keep you close (if his partner is amenable to such - if you need more space and/or are feeling more touch averse, simply being close together in space is enough).

He’ll kiss you until you’re out of breath, and he’ll kiss you to steal the words out of your throat. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, he loves to fluster his significant other. And he enjoys seeing your flushed face, to see you in a happy or passionate daze after he’s finally, reluctantly withdrawn from you.

Sometimes his kisses are desperate and feverish, especially if he’s feeling more protective over you than he normally would. If someone had tried to harm you in the recent past, he’s attached to you as much as he possibly can be, keeping you close and kissing you to reassure you of his presence. But it’s just as much a comfort for him - a reassurance that you’re still here with him.

Kazuma can be prone to feelings of jealousy, and may feel prompted to take you aside in private and lay a rather possessive kiss upon you, wanting to remind you of who your lover is and how he can kiss you utterly senseless.

He can be persuaded to talk about those feelings, and if he does, he can eventually be made to admit that at the heart of the issue is the fear that you will somehow slip through his fingers like sand in a sieve. Either something will happen to you, or he will give you a reason to leave him. And if you hold him and kiss him and tell him you’re not going anywhere, he will relax into your touch and kiss you back, the kiss full of gratitude that he has such a wonderful partner that he can be open about his feelings with.

He’s a fan on lazy morning kisses, holding you and pressing his lips to you slowly and sweetly as light barely falls through the window onto the floor of the room.

And above all, kissing is absolutely one of his favorite things to do with you.

You were comfortable with each other and delicious food only improved the situation

You often walked around your favorite places, discussing a variety of topics. He told you with a smile about his studies at the university, sharing his impressions with you. When Ryunosuke went to England, he often wrote letters to you. He wrote to you about different places and how he would like to visit them with you. You knew that you wouldn't be able to arrive in England so quickly, so you decided to make a list of places that you would like to visit with Ryunosuke. You hoped that you would be able to arrive in England as soon as possible, because you missed him so much

When you arrived in England, you spent the first few days visiting the most interesting places in London. You couldn't contain your delight at visiting a completely new city for you and staying in the company of a loved one after a long separation. You didn't want to miss a second, wanting to make up for the time you spent apart

⚖️ Kazuma Asogi x Reader 🗡

Kazuma was very worried before each of your dates. He wanted you to like everything, because he had tender feelings and didn't want you to be disappointed. However, even if something went wrong, you did not get upset and did not start thinking worse about him. You liked the fact that you could spend time together despite the fact that both were often busy because of studies

After you were informed of his death and you went to England, the dates with Kazuma became only your memories. When your longing became too strong, you remembered your moments together, your dates, and after that your longing passed, because you understood that he would not want you to be sad. He liked to see you smile

Masked Apprentice often evoked memories of Kazuma in you. Sometimes you managed to talk, and although some of his phrases caused you anxiety, he was a pleasant conversationalist. Quite often you caught yourself thinking that they could get along if the circumstances were different

When you and Kazuma reunited after a long separation, you began to spend time together often. And even though he was often busy in court, he always found time for you. Your dates became less frequent, but you appreciated them much more. After his memory returned to him, he apologized to you for forgetting you for a long time, but you were not angry. You were glad he was alive

Your first date with Herlock took place on the streets of London. You decided to just walk around the city, enjoying such rare good weather. You walked for a long time through the streets of the city, looking at the shop windows, watching the performances of street musicians and just enjoying each other's company. At the end of your walk, the weather turned bad and it started to rain, so you ran home laughing. Even the rain couldn't spoil your mood

When Iris appeared in your life, your dates began to take place in her company. When she was very young, you couldn't leave her alone at home, so you were content with what you had. Taking care of the child was tiring, but it also created a special, family atmosphere, as if you were a married couple who had been together for many years, but still had tender feelings for each other

When Iris got older, she often began to tell you that you need to go somewhere together. You were touched by the girl's concern for your relationship. Herlock also often thought that you could go somewhere together, since Iris herself insisted on it so stubbornly. You began to go to different places often. Most of the time it was small pubs, but sometimes you visited restaurants. You both didn't care where exactly to go, the main thing for you was that you were together

You and Barok rarely went on dates. He was often busy because of work, so most often you spent time at home, relaxing after a hard day. You understood that Barok rarely had weekends, so you didn't get upset about it. You understood that he was very tired, so you just tried to help him rest at least at home

When you still managed to get out of the house, you went to restaurants, to the theater or to the opera. Each of your trips to such places was accompanied by his gallantry. He tried to make up for all the time that you spent apart. You couldn't hold back a gentle smile seeing his efforts. You appreciated it and responded to his concern in the same way

Sometimes, when he had a weekend off, you went to the city and walked the streets, as you used to walk before, when Barok's older brother was still alive. Then you had much more free time and you could walk around the city until dark, although even then you were sometimes attacked by his brother's detractors

Despite the rare dates, you and Barok were happy together. You took care of each other, helped each other cope with difficulties, supported each other. You have experienced many hardships and losses together, so every moment filled with happiness was brighter and more valuable for you

Your First Kiss With Them: Prosecutors Edition

A lovely anon requested first kiss headcanons with both defense lawyers and prosecutors, so I'm just gonna do it in two parts.

Miles Edgeworth

It happens spontaneously with Miles.

You'd gone on a few dates already and he always walks you to your door, like the gentleman he is. When it's time to say goodbye, he lingers for a moment, as if unsure how to proceed. He always flakes in the end, leaving you after an awkward hug and a face that matches the colour of his suit.

One day you're just at his place. It's one of those lazy days when you order takeout and sit at home binging Steel Samurai. A funny scene comes on, something that leaves you both in stitches. It's such a sweet thing, seeing him laugh so earnestly, some colour rising to his face. You lean over and press a kiss to his lips almost instinctively and he freezes for a second and so do you once you realise what you'd done. You apologise awkwardly, fearing you'd crossed a line.

"What are you sorry for? I quite liked that," Miles laughs. "At least one of us has enough courage to act."

Franziska von Karma

Happens in the middle of an argument, most likely. Nothing serious, of course. You're just bickering over something silly and Franziska gets a bit too smug with her comebacks. It annoys you to no end, seeing that smarmy grin on her lovely face. You stand there for a second, feeling an overwhelming urge to-

"Why are you glaring at me like that? Just because I'm right doesn't give you the excuse to act like a f-"

Silence. Cut off by a kiss.

She's completely dumbfounded when you part. It takes her a moment to regain her composure.

"Well," she says eventually. "How foolish of you. Trying to win an argument through such underhanded tactics."

You keep on bickering.

She kisses you not two minutes later when she realises her argument makes no sense and you gain the upper hand.

Diego Armando/Godot

It's the classic scenario with him.

He takes you out for a cup of coffee one rainy afternoon. You sit at the coffee shop for hours, talking and laughing, enjoying each other's company. It's dark outside before you even realise it and he offers to walk you home. The conversation keeps flowing on your way to your place and you feel a pang of sadness when it's time to say your goodbyes. You tell him how much you enjoyed your date and he just casually leans in for a kiss that lasts a bit longer than you'd expected. There's no way your neighbours won't gossip about it tomorrow.

Klavier Gavin

He texts you to wear something warm before your date. You're confused but oblige.

Klav shows up on his bike to pick you up and it all makes sense suddenly. "Come on, Schatzi, I'll show you what a real adrenaline rush feels like."

He's true to his word. He drives you around the city, the cool twilight air rushing past you and you feel more alive than ever.

Eventually, he takes you to his favourite spot, a clearing overlooking the entire city. It feels surreal seeing all the city lights intertwine with the stars above. You sit on his bike while he stands in front of you, talking about something or another. It's hard to say who leans in first, but soon enough you're kissing. It's your first kiss together, then the second and third and fourth...

Simon Blackquill

You're just fooling around at his place.

Simon is a massive tease when he drops his twisted persona. He picks little fights and picks on you just to get you worked up. It's a mixture of endearing and annoying.

He puts on some stupid show you're not interested in one bit. Neither is he, but he'd rather tease you about it than change the channel.

"Give me the remote, Simon."

"Come get it, *insert dumb nickname*"

You try and fail spectacularly. It's just play wrestling, but that doesn't change the fact he's twice your size and can pin you down with one-fifth of his weight. Not that you mind.

You're both giggling breathlessly at this point. "Do you yield, miscreant?" He asks in his scariest prosecutor voice. Dumbass. "I yield, I yield! Just let me go!"

"You must pay the toll first," he deadpans, crossing his arms.

"And what is the toll?"

"A kiss, if I recall correctly."

You buy your freedom and he lets you up, handing you the remote and letting you curl up against him on the sofa.

You pay his toll a few more times during the evening.

Nahyuta Sahdmadhi

You're very hesitant to kiss Yuti.

He's a monk. You're not even sure it's allowed.

You start wondering if you'd perhaps been misunderstanding your outings. They were clearly dates, you thought, but then again he could merely see them as you acting as his tour guide to introduce him to your culture. You're very torn on the matter.

On your way home from dinner, you pick up some dessert. Nothing fancy, just cupcakes from a local bakery. You eat them at your place while trying to explain the concept of Netflix and chill to him. It's hard to say if he's scandalized or intrigued.

"These are so good! Would you like a taste?" You ask with your mouth full, perhaps overexaggerating your food-induced moaning.

He gives you one of those sweet, gentle looks he's known for. "Certainly," he says, bridging the gap between you, pressing the softest of kisses to your lips. You're confused by his actions but you'd be lying if you said you minded.

"What was that about?"

"Hm? Oh, that was a pick-up line, was it not? I've heard about those. Although I hear that one is usually used with flavoured lipgloss."

"Yuti, I was just offering you some of my cupcakes."

"Oh," he seems a bit embarrassed now. "Do forgive me then."

"I didn't say I minded. But you can't just go around kissing people like that."

"I'll jot that down in my 'How to act like a native' notebook."

Barok van Zieks

(Heavily inspired by my incessant bugging of @bailey-reaper from my main)

It happens during his University days.

Barok approaches you at a gathering, completely red-faced while Klint and Albert snicker within earshot. He asks you to dance with him in the most roundabout way possible, to the point where you're not quite sure what he's asking of you.

You agree and are surprised at how good of a dancer he is in spite of his initial and apparent awkwardness. Must be those long, elegant legs.

He takes you on a stroll after and you end up alone on a balcony. His initial nervous demeanour slowly melts away, although he's still more than a little shy. You chat away and you even get a laugh out of him at some point. It's one of your personal victories.

It's almost midnight when you are interrupted. "Ah, brother, there you are!" Klint van Zieks suddenly joins you on the balcony. His lips curl in a knowing smirk as he turns to greet you. "Mother has sent me to get you aeons ago! I've been looking for you all over. It's time to leave. Say your goodbyes, and be quick." He leaves then, giving you a moment of privacy.

"I-I, hm, I have really enjoyed your company tonight. Thank you for the dance. I fear I must be going now."

"Wait," you say placing your hand on his arm, half expecting him to recoil. He doesn't. You get on your tip-toes and you can still barely reach his face. Thankfully, he's already slouching. You press a quick, chaste kiss to his lips, hoping no one saw you. "Surely, you wouldn't have left me without a kiss goodnight?"

His face is burning now and he swallows. "Pray, forgive the discourtesy. How careless I am. I'll bear it in mind for next time." With that, he turns and leaves you.

Kazuma Asogi

He walks up to you one day right as you're about to head to your next class, looking pensive and excited at once. You know why, you'd heard the news. Kazuma had been selected for the student exchange and you were thrilled for him - no one deserved it more than he did. You just hoped you did a good job of hiding how sad you were to see him leave regardless.

"I can't leave you here without a proper goodbye. Leave your books, come on." He convinces you to skip the rest of your classes and drags you away on an adventure as he calls it.

You spend the day together, joking around, getting food and window shopping. Finally, you settle under the shade of a tree where you usually met up in secret. He babbles away about the law, the British Empire, his plans for the future.

When he runs out of topics to talk about, he goes quiet, dark eyes searching your face. "Do you know why I stole you away today?" Stole? He's so dramatic. You shake your head. "I don't want you to forget me when I'm gone. Remember this day, and me and this." With that, he gently takes your face in his hands and leans in, claiming your lips in a heated kiss. It's so intense, you feel yourself burning under his touch. Tears prickle your eyes when you part. "I hate to so you go," you whisper weakly and he gives you a sad, understanding smile. "I know. I'm so sorry." You pull him into another kiss, lying down on the grass, hidden by the shade of the tree. You're not about to let him forget you either.

Note(s): I have had friends of mixed races that talked about quite a bit of discrimination they've met and it's really honestly really gross. I'm sorry that you went through that stuff and I hope these headcanons can offer some comfort.

Barok

Well, he's made some racial comments towards Naruhodo so I feel like when first meeting you, he did the same thing. But then he grew close to you and developed feelings and realized how his words might've impacted you in the beginning. You get apologies for that before he calls you "exotic", thinking it's a compliment to describe your attractiveness.

You'll have to tell him that no, it's also kind of offensive too. Honestly, there's probably a lot of terms that you'll have to have a talk with him about just because of the time period and also how he is. It's very much a learning process as he realizes how his words must have really hurt you and he didn't even know.

He ends up giving you loads of apologies. It's very much a learning process especially since you become his partner and he really doesn't want to do anything to upset or offend you.

If you let him, then he'd like to give you a long hug with many kisses to the top of your head as he murmurs apologies again and again. You can bet that he definitely becomes a huge protector of you after that too with glaring or bringing up ways he could get someone jailed for being rude to you.

Kazuma

He scoffs when he hears you're facing discrimination. The fact that people can be so awful to other people makes him sick.

If you allow him, then he'd pull you into his arms and let you know that he still cherishes you more than anything.

Naruhodo

He already has no issues with pointing out injustices and wouldn't hesitate to point out the racism that you're going through just because you're mixed.

Might argue with you a bit if you don't want him to make a big deal about it, but he'll eventually respect your wishes.

While he doesn't completely understand how difficult things must be for you, he does understand some of the racism.

He was met with quite a bit of it when he did go to Britian originally (honestly, he probably still comes across people that aren't so quiet and asks insensitive questions).

But if he does learn you've had a particularly bad experience one day then he'll gladly take you home and make you some tea.

He's very sweet with comforting you, giving you a small kiss to your temple and even offering you a massage if you want. He doesn't think he's the best at massages though so be ready to tell him if he's being a bit too hard.

Susato

At hearing your story and why you hide your race, she's very upset. Not at you, but at how awful you're treated just because you're not what society wants you to be.

Susato understands the racism as she got a bit of it when she traveled to England, but the fact that you've had it on both sides really annoys her. She'll gladly speak out about it to those that discriminate if you want her to.

And the fact that your parents had to most likely fight to be together to have you, well Susato wants to just toss someone because it's really annoying to know you're going through so much crap because of who you are.

Gladly reminds you that she loves and cares for you. Absolutely would love to hear about your experiences (the good ones) too because she wants to hear how things might've been different in your household compared to what she knows.

Kazuma doesn’t make a big deal out of your nationality. He treats you the same way he would if you were from any other part of the world, because where you were born has no bearing on his opinion of you. Though, that’s not to say that he doesn’t care.

On the contrary, he’s actually quite eager to learn more about your homeland, as well as to teach you about his own. If you’re English, he’ll definitely try to impress you with his existing knowledge of your culture, mainly as a way to assure you that he won’t let cultural differences cause any problems in your relationship.

If you’re Scottish, Irish or Welsh instead, then he’ll be sure to ask you plenty of questions about your country, as long as you’re comfortable answering. He’ll also seek out books that delve into its history and culture, all while checking in with you on occasion to make sure the information is accurate. He’ll even start to pick up your native language eventually; mostly as a sign of devotion, but also because he wants to make communication between the two of you easier if you’re more comfortable speaking that rather than English.

-Using his great deduction skills that's how he learned about your little hobby 

-He always tried to get a peak without getting caught but he never saw the perfect opportunity to do so 

- Whenever you decided to draw him he was busy either with his detective work or inventing ( that's because he won't stay still otherwise) but mark his words he will see what you've been drawing 

-The time when he finally managed to catch a glimpse of your work was another day when he asked your assistance on a case " Oh but the great detective needs assistance sometimes too you know " as he puts it 

-As on queue as Herlock was reading g through some files you took your chance to start drawing , he noticing this has asked you to garb something, prompting you to put your sketchbook on the desk 

- The great detective is impressed indeed, he has his own great artist as an assistant 

- " My word this is marvelous and you've been hiding this from me for how long? You wound me ____" he explains dramatically looking over the pages with a grin on his face 

- Who looked petrified, how could you been fooled by his little antics " S-sholmes it's not what it looks like I was just….." before you can try to make an excuse he simply chuckled " Now that the mystery has been solved I have a suggestion for you" 

-You looked at him concerned on what the detective had in mind 

- " How about we use your amazing art skills for the covers for the latest Herlock Sholmes novel I'm pretty sure Iris will be delighted to work alongside you, just think about how many citizens will be intrigued by it with those wonderful drawings of yours!" 

- You just sat there quietly listening to him ramble on how you can use your art .

𝕂𝕒𝕫𝕦𝕞𝕒 𝔸𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕚

-Kazuma probably knows about your passion for art , he is the observant type after all 

-He also notices you sketch something away while constantly looking back in forth from the page to him on your breaks when you 2 decide to have study sessions

-He didn't ask you about it , you were the shy one and didn't want to put you on the spot.

-The time he actually saw the contents of the sketchbook is when you forgot your sketchbook in his room after finishing another study session 

-Curiosity got the best of him and decided to look through a bit 

-A peak won't hurt right? 

-Upon opening the sketchbook he's amazed of the amount of detail in each drawing

-Flipping through the pages he landed on one he wasn't fully expected to see

-It was an image of him studying, serious look on his face

-He had to admit he's impressed 

-A small blush crept on his face as he admired the details , you knew how to capture his features well 

-Suddenly his door opens revealing you 

-" Hey Kazuma, have you seen my…." You stopped yourself mid sentence as you look at Kazuma who had your sketchbook in hand 

- Immediately a blush appears on your face as you try to stutter out a " it's not what it looks like" 

-Kazuma chuckled handing you the book " Sorry I couldn't help snooping a bit" he says as he runs the back of his neck 

"You should show me more of your drawings , they're quite lovely " he tells you

-You managed to muster up a quiet " thank you" before storming off the room with the blush still remaining on your cheeks.

-Probably the one to not notice at first 

-He's usually absorbed in his work to notice you looking at him as you drew away 

-He did take note of the noise the pencils made while you were visiting his office 

-You were probably the only one who could so casually walk into his office which says a lot about how he cares about you , even if you 2 are friends ( for now ) 

- You do enjoy these quiet times with him , not having to necessarily talk or keep conversations which Barok appreciates because he does need some quiet time from those trials and noisy witnesses 

-When he does manage to catch you looking at him with sketchbook in hand he does ask " Is there something wrong, you've been staring at me for some time" which you respond with a simple "o-oh nothing " 

-His gaze lowers to the sketchbook you're holding "May I see what you have there?" 

-Knowing you can't get out of this one you mod as you gave him the book while turning away, whole face turning red already 

-Good job you got the all mighty reaper flustered 

-He was staring at the piece of paper,  dumbfounded almost 

-The silence made you even more concerned but you managed to look at him " Barok?" You stuttered out looking at his puzzled expression 

-" Oh right it's nothing " he says as he comes back to reality handing you the sketchbook " I must say you do have some remarkable talent " he remarks as you hid your face behind the sketchbook while Barok managed to have a small smile on his face with his pale cheeks having a red hue.

-Most likely saw you draw during classes in university before you 2 left for Britain 

- He was really impressed with your art skills and often asked you all sorts of questions about your hobby which you didn't mind and quite enjoyed your time together 

- When you 2 are in Britain you sometimes like to watch him from the gallery, admiring his more serious nature than the nervous version that you see everyday, you had to admit he did cute when he gets all sweating and a blush on his face as if you aren't the same 

- During one of his trials you decided to capture different versions of Ryuunosuke, his serious face, bug eye Ryuunosuke, flustered Ryuunosuke you name it 

-After the trial and Ryuu talking about how he thought he was gonna faint out there , you 2 head back home. 

-You were planning to finish up the sketches from today so you left the sketchbook on your desk as you went to get yourself a drink and that's when Ryuu enters your room and sees himself in all his glory 

- Oh boy he's a blushing mess looking at the page, there he was, and there he was again all over that one page he saw himself 

-He was so focused looking at the drawings he didn't notice a certain someone walk up behind him before he got tossed across the room hearing " SUSATO TAKEDOWN" as he landed 

- " Mr Naruhodo, you know it's not right to snoop on others' belongings without their permission!" Yells a very angry Susato as she scolds the boy for looking through 

-While those 2 are bickering you walk in to see the disaster unfold , upon closer inspection you noticed your dear sketchbook in Ryuunosuke's hands , quickly adding the dots together and figuring out that he ended up seeing those silly drawings of him 

Which now leaves us with 2 blushing messes and a still angry Susato.

Kazuma and an S/O Whose Been Attacked (Headcanons)

As always, these are my own personal headcanons! These are intended for character/reader-inserts and are written with 2nd person POV pronouns (you/yours). This headcanon set will be a bit on the shorter side compared to other HC sets I’ve posted so far.

Warnings: Discussing Violence, Injuries, Protective Kazuma is protective

 Kazuma is extremely protective of those he cares about. He’s experienced significant loss through the deaths of his parents, and learning about the fate of his father I think makes him especially on edge about someone attempting to hurt or take advantage of his loved ones (including you, his S/O).

If he happened upon you being harassed or attacked, he’d of course jump in to defend you, and would be very aggressive in dealing with those who would mean you harm. He might at first become singularly focused on dealing out justice to your assailants, but a gentle plea from you snaps him out of his rage, if only enough to realize you are the priority right now. Those who hurt you can be dealt with later.

He thoroughly looks you over for injuries and tends to your wounds if you have them, assuring you that you’re safe now and he’s here.

He is very attentive (as a part of a combination of his devotion to you, as well as his very singular and focused drive), and is extremely reluctant to leave you if he has to hand you off to someone else like a doctor or someone in a similar position to help you better.

In this situation, He will try to be as close to you as he can be, and will keep watch over you (outside a hospital room, sitting by your bed, that sort of thing).

He may be a little short with those trying to help you at first, mostly out of fear and worry for your safety, as well as anger at the situation and the fact he couldn’t act fast enough to completely prevent harm coming to you. He may require you refocusing/reassuring once you are able to talk and hold a conversation with him.

In the case of a less serious situation (with little or no injury), he may still feel critical of himself for not coming to your aide sooner. He might gently scold or tease depending on the situation, which almost always come from his feelings of concern or fear for your safety (and it is most often also self-soothing behavior on his part).

For a while, he’ll probably try to keep you close at hand or make excuses to be near you more to keep an eye out. It will take some time before he’s assured he doesn’t need to be waiting in the wings.

Whoever hurt or harassed you had better pray he doesn’t run into them again. There’s a good chance things will go much worse for them if he encounters them again.  (Though exactly how it will go worse will depend on what exactly happened, where Kazuma is in terms of his character development, and where you two are in terms of your relationship.)
