Asogi

He almost always has a knowing smile on his face. Like he knows something you don't. It really doesn't help if you have anxiety or if you actually are hiding something from him because he just looks like he knows. And if you ask him about it, you just get a cheeky smile and a, "Whatever do you mean?"

Will drop everything to help you with whatever you need. Even if he thinks it's a bit silly, he won't say anything, just offers his help. Of course, if you say you can do it then he won't push.

He keeps to himself mostly, not really sharing his thoughts on things. But he does check up on you quite often, wanting to make sure you're alright. It's like he's noticing things that he doesn't want to say and instead giving you the opportunity to speak up.

Herlock

Be prepared to constantly be interrupted with whatever you're doing because he needs attention. He really is like an overexcited puppy because look at what he just made! Look at this new case he got and how quickly he solved it!

Lots of sleeping alone at nights. Not because he doesn't want to lay next to you and cuddle, but because the man does NOT sleep. He's always pushing himself and working on something. Don't worry, he has strict "Okay if I take 10 minute to rest now then it gives me an extra 20 minutes for his thing--" That is if he even follows through with the resting.

There are times when you come home and he's in his depressed state. He's moping about something failing and you coming home does make him a bit better, but he really needs someone to listen to him and talk to. Even if you don't quite give him a solution, you can definitely give him ideas that help pull him out of it and suddenly he's back to being a happy puppy.

Klavier

Music is constantly playing. Usually the same genre, but now and then he switches it up for inspiration or because you ask nicely. The volume of the music also changes if he's trying to work or if you think it's too loud/soft. But music is always playing.

Likewise, get used to hearing him practicing guitar. Sometimes he's just strumming a tune that got stuck in his head, sometimes he sees you and gives a teasing smile before going into some improv for a super cheesy love song, and sometimes he is tearing his hair out because he cannot figure out how to write a certain song and it's just angry grumbling.

Despite the fact that Klavier tries to seem rather easy-going, there are moments that only you get to see where he needs you to hold him and just be there for him. Between his brother, his band, and the fact that his mentor was killed, well he needs a shoulder to lean on when the thoughts get to be too much.

Phoenix

You can expect quite a few twisted jokes from him. He'll be reading the morning paper and give a hum about someone falling to their death before he retorts, "I would've survived that fall."

Speaking of that, you become a regular at the hospital. They learn your name, give you cheery smiles, and then point you in the direction of Phoenix's room because he is so bad at avoiding being hurt. He promises you that isn't trying to be a mummy with all his bandages, but it's just his luck.

Phoenix really wishes he can have his phone on silent, but with his job that's not possible. So when you two are out on a nice date or relaxing at home, there are many times when it's interrupted by someone needing an attorney. But most of the time the interruptions are from Maya or Athena or one of the people that has pretty much become family. He does his best to be nice with telling them he's busy, but more often than not you get pulled along to whatever shenanigans they've gotten themselves into.

barok is a high ranking member of society, due to his job as a prosecutor, as well as him being a son of the van ziek's family

you won't be able to match up to his status and you will often be seen as someone who's below him by other people

however, barok doesn't care about status. at least he doesn't when it comes to dating you!

he knows you're not dating him for money or reputation. and he'll defend you whenever someone talks ill about you!

on top of his status in society, barok also wears the title of the reaper. he's feared by most, yet you know that he would never hurt anyone!

but since you're the lover of the reaper of the bailey, you often find yourself dragged into trouble, when assassins attempt to take your life

barok tries to keep you safe by only letting you go outside while he's around you, but even then he can't always protect you

barok isn't very affectionate, since he hates to let people know how much he cares about you. if they knew, that would only put you in more danger…

so barok only shows you affection when the two of you are truly alone!

-Herlock tends to boast a lot about his oh so great adventures, especially his book

- You had to admit those stories did leave you in awe of the detectives bravery and recklessness but some stories did leave you giggling much to his embarrassment

-It's been years since he first told you about his first ever case a detective with his partner

-You figured that today is a day to celebrate a little anniversary if you will, the good the detective had to be rewarded for all his years of solving crime right?

-If Iris' help you 2 planned a perfect little party for 3 of you since Ryuunosuke and Susato left for Japan

-While Herlock was busy doing who knows what you were off to a store with Iris to guy ingredients

-Ingredient for what exactly? For a cake of course!

-Iris was a good helper and at keeping secrets from our dear Hurley

-As soon as you 2 got home you started preparing the delicious goods

-By the time Herlock got back everything was already set and ready, with you and Iris already seated on the couch

-" Welcome home dear" you greeted him getting up from your seat " What's the occasion? I'd hardly doubt you'd mistake my or Iris' birthdays" The boy asks, drooling at the sight of the food " We've prepared a little party for our great detective silly!" Iris chimed in " I figured since it's been over a decade since you became detective we'd celebrate your hard work, I remember you told me way back when that this day was the day you became a detective all those years ago" you explained while putting his coat away on the coat hanger next to the door

-You actually remembered something as small as that!? Looks like you've got a detective's memory just like him

-He's so moved " Oh dear you shouldn't have , come here , you too Iris" he said before engulfing you both into a tight hug,in which you both reciprocate the gesture " Oh what would I do without you two!" He cried out hugging you tighter before letting go and wiping his yes

-" Come now this deliciousness isn't going to eat by itself " he said while dragging you both to the table in the living room

-He's not one to talk much, often busy or just preferring to sit with you in silence

-However he does enjoy talking about his life when he lived in Japan and honestly he's a great storyteller, only when he doesn't use complex words you don't understand

-One thing that interested you was his sword he always carries

-You walked to your usual spot where to often talked about whatever was on your mind and you remembered about the sword

-" Hey Kazuma I remember you telling me about how your sword is sort of like a symbol of the Asougi family right? Mind telling me how it became that in the first place?" You asked looking at your boyfriend " Oh you want to hear about the history of Karuma?" He asked , masking his surprise " Yeah I mean it seems something important to you right? Especially since you have it with you anywhere you go" you replied to his question with a smile while pointing at the sword on his waist

-He started telling you the first ever mention of Karuma and how it was kept for generations leading up to the present and how many people in the Asougi family changed their name to Karuma in honor of the sword

-You sat and listened as he kept telling you more thing with a smile on his face

-Despite his calm exterior Kazuma was still surprised you actually remembered stuff he tells you about his family and generally anything he tells you which he very much appreciates

𝔹𝕒𝕣𝕠𝕜 𝕧𝕒𝕟 𝕫𝕚𝕖𝕜𝕤

-Whenever Barok feels like it he likes to reminisce old stories about him and his brother as you sit next to him and listen

-It's nice honestly to remember these nice moments,it was bittersweet nostalgia for the prosecutor

-One thing you recalled was him and Klint playing chess together, Klint being the older one, often had to teach little Barok the ins and outs of chess but he got the hang of it quickly

-You decided maybe it would be nice to play a round or two of chess with him,since he spoke fondly of those memories

-You already knew he had a chess board somewhere all you needed was a good moment to ask him

-You yourself weren't too skillful at chess but maybe you can improve on those skills with Barok's help

-One day you managed to catch him reading a book on a sofa, legs crossed, completely focused, he seemed to have finished work for the day

- " Oh hey Barok!" You call out ,a bit too excited for your liking as you enter his office " Why hello dear, you seem awfully cheerful, might you enlighten me on what brought this excitement?" He asked closing the book after leaving a mark of where he left off " Well I've been thinking, I remember you mentioned on how you and Klint often played chess and I was wondering if maybe you can you know… teach me a couple of tricks" you asked looking at him

-He was surprised you remembered something from his ramblings but he quickly recovered from his initial shock, a rare smile showing on his face " Why I'd be delighted , Wait here I'll bring the board and we'll begin our little battle of wits if you will" he said before getting up and grabbed the chess board that was sitting on a stool next to his desk

-He first explained the basics, like what piece goes where and how it moves on the board

-The first couple of rounds he obviously beat you but he had to admit he was having fun

-If you eventually won against him he'd praise you while you cheer in glee

ℝ𝕪𝕦𝕦𝕟𝕠𝕤𝕦𝕜𝕖 ℕ𝕒𝕣𝕦𝕙𝕠𝕕𝕠

-Despite his more shy nature he loves to talk to you about all sorts of things, he could tell you like 10 things per hour if he really wanted to

-One thing that stook out to you was his hobby of talking fast and learning tongue twisters, you haven't heard anyway that does that in their spare time especially as a hobby

-You were curious about his abilities but usually found both of yourselves busy and it eventually sort of slipped out of your mind till one day

-So on that day you came up to him and asked if about his little hobby

-'' So mind telling me more about the whole talking fast and learing tongue twisters hobby of yours? I remember you said that once but I sorta forgot to ask about it till now hehe.." you awkward Laughed as Ryburgh looks at you with shock

-You actually wanted to learn more!? Well he's pumped

-" Well there are many I managed to learn back in Japan. Do you want to hear some?" He asked giddy like a little kid who just got candy

-He also told you about the story of the speech competition and how Kazuma practically humiliated himself by not being able to say " men and women of all ages" which made you laugh at the thought of the stoic and serious student messing up so bad

-Ryuu probably has a book with tongue twisters on him so he'd probably drag you to his room and you 2 start your little tongue twister club

-The first couple of times you messed up pretty badly which caused both of you to laugh at your bumbling mess

-After thousands of reading different tongue twisters you were getting the hang of it and actually had even more fun

-Ryuunosuke usually found himself silently smiling as your eyes light up when you finally managed to say a particular tongue twister without messing up

sherlock

you can't try to persuade me from thinking that he's the most experienced with hair styling out of the whole cast. you can't.

sherlock has styled little iris' hair when she was a baby, possibly still doing her hair in cute styles to this day ! if you ask him, he'd be so ecstatic that you would want your hair done by the great hairdresser ! i mean detective-

your long hair is a treasure trove for endless possibilities and this man is aching to comb his fingers through it. why does it look so soft and inviting ?! it's so soft !

would cuddle you and hold his face in your hair, taking in your scent and feeling all warm on the inside as he relaxes. it's so addicting to him and he'd rather be in this position for the rest of his days.

(muffled voice) "mhm.. your hair is so soft, my love..."

those were his last words before he fell asleep in your arms.

probably wouldn't say anything about wanting to doll up your hair though, cat got his tongue there, literally would think about asking, get sweaty palms and when the opportunity arrives he calls it a day.

if you do your hair up though, he'd be the first to compliment you though, maybe this time he'll ~swiftly~ imply that he really wants to doll your hair up a god awful lot.

it comes out as a squeak initially and after a chuckle, you let him. the man in his mid 30s becomes somewhat of a puppy and rushes to comb your hair.

barok

i do headcanon that this man would grow out his hair so it would be a bit longer than shoulder length so... expect a bunch of hair products in his home when you come over for the day !

he's seemingly neutral about your hair, but does think that you suit it so extremely well, especially if you did up your hair for a dinner date you have with him.

something tells me that this man subconsciously gives headpats for when you do something he finds adorable, but when he finds that your hair is just so soft, the prosecutor can't help but let his bare hand linger for a few moments as he pets your hair.

he's very shy about asking if he could touch your hair so don't expect him to make the first move.

once his hair grows out enough for him to tie it up, ask him what kind of products he uses to start up a conversation, it might help him open up about his love for your hair.

if you were to gently comb your fingers through his hair though, you'll be met with a blushing barok as you realise, damn. his hair is more soft than you thought...

he's not horribly versed with the different hair styles one can conjur up but he Can tie your hair up into a loose ponytail and cute bow that compliments your hair colour.

Apollo Justice

Were his ears working properly? Was he even awake? Was this the real life, or was this just fantasy?

He'd be so lost and so caught off-guard that he'd stare at you blankly for a good minute. Since he's so used to being pranked on, who's to say this is not another bad joke of the universe's? What did his bracelet say? Were you lying about being worried about him?

Your chuckle snaps him out of it, bringing a flush of color to his cheeks. He just had to be so obvious...

"I'm serious, Apollo. If you want a good place to let it out then what's better than an amusement park?"

Being with you is more than enough, but anyway-

It really warms his heart whenever someone shows kindness and mercy to him, let alone if it came from you. With how his life has been going, sometimes he truly doubts if anyone cares for him at all.

"Okay, I'll go with you then."

The smile you show him in return was so adorable he could've screamed out his entire existence right there and then. Of course, he knew perfectly well it was simply a friendly gesture on your part, but that didn't damper the joy in the slightest.

Simon Blackquill

You invited the Simon Blackquill to a film screening? Wow. You liked him this much? Your boldness is laudable. It deserves one of those little toy prizes kids love so much.

But in all seriousness, Simon was very much thrilled to know you liked him enough to ask him to join you. As a friend. But alone. But just as a friend...

So how could he not jump to conclusions? Were you that dense? What if you had asked someone else and they took advantage of the situation, huh?! God, you were so helpless...

"I'm not sure you'll enjoy my company for something like that. You know what I'm like," he said with a smirk.

He meant it as a half-joke, but it showed more than half a glimpse of his insecurity. He liked teasing you - that much anyone knew at this point - but he was worried that once his other colors come out, you wouldn't want him around at all.

To never have you as his lover is something he'd accepted early on. But to lose you as a friend?

"Of course I know what you're like," you quipped. "If I didn't, why would I have invited you? Sometimes you're so dumb for someone who studied psychology."

After being stunned for a few moments, Simon laughed heartily at your comment. You were right - you were absolutely right. He was dumb.

Deep inside however, he was touched to know that someone like you has accepted him for who he was. Didn't matter if it was only at a platonic level - to him, this was more than enough.

Barok van Zieks (minor spoilers for DGS/TGAA2)

He had already been planning to visit the Great Exhibition (as he missed the previous due to... certain events) to tour Albert around. And so you inviting him to join you? Well. Suffice to say his heart and schedule were not ready.

The moment he made it back to his office, he double and triple checked his agenda for that week. Curses. It was more air-tight than any of his yet-to-be-opened wine bottles.

Of course, the three of you could go together as a group (you and Albert were close friends too) but Barok would prefer to enjoy his time with you two separately. Mostly because he would rather not Albert find out and possibly blabber about his true feelings, but anyway-

He wanted so dearly to go with you one-on-one as the opportunity hardly comes by; he really did. But he was not so rude and desperate as to push another dear friend he already made a promise to aside.

And so with a heavy heart he declined your offer. You understood the situation completely and were gracious enough to accept it, however the disappointment on your face was, though subtle, still very much apparent.

It was quite unlike the feared Lord van Zieks to let his spontaneous thoughts out in the open, but the compulsion to make it up to you somehow superseded his inherent shyness.

"Perhaps I could take you to a place of your choosing. Whenever your schedule allows for it..."

"That's not necessary at all! But... thank you for such a gracious offer. I'd be looking forward to it."

he was so excited he kept all his weekends free for the next two months, but pretend you didn't know that

Phoenix Wright and Ryunosuke Naruhodo x famous defense lawyer!S/O:

Phoenix Wright:

Mia set the standards of a lawyer really high;

Yes, he did recognize talented lawyers and knew to be humble, but he never found someone as great as her;

He read in the newspapers about a new lawyer who managed to win some cases that many of his coworkers refused to take;

He did some research on her and all the cases she handled, just out of curiosity;

And noticed that each case was notably tangled in its facts;

His curiosity brought him to court to attend one of her trials and see with his eyes if what the papers said was true;

He stayed in the background for some time, but eventually the fact that both of them were lawyers brought them to work together, and ultimately together;

She also started to attend his trials, and often wanted to discuss them with him, getting close;

Whenever a paper talked about her case and her "invincibility", he bought it and just added it to his collection;

They both learned a lot from each other, and even though she "stole" Phoenix's spotlight, he was more than happy and proud to leave her to these praises;

Trucy was kind of sad when another lawyer joined the house, but she easily influenced her, too, with her passion for magic;

They were often apart, since both their services were needed almost everywhere;

She traveled more willingly abroad, while Phoenix preferred to stay in the country, mostly because of Trucy and his old age and body;

So they also learned to deal with the distance.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo:

They met when Ryu was still learning how to be a good defense lawyer;

He got close because he heard about her and her skills from the inspectors, the various papers both Susato and Sholmes bought daily and in the court itself;

Whenever he wasn't defending someone, he was in court anyway to be a witness to others' trials and learn the profession faster;

It eventually became a fair trade, she helped him with law studies, and he taught her some Japanese;

When things started to get more serious, they had to start seeing each other "in secret", since the Japanese were not yet fully accepted in England, and the last thing he wanted to do was ruin in some way her career;

In court he often posed as her assistant, doing his best to understand each case and be somewhat useful for both her and his studies;

(He often loses some documents, so this task is quickly set aside);

He enjoys so much imagining the various cases and performing them, as if in a theatre, and very soon involves her in this "hobby";

She is often called to various countries to represent hers and to study new law systems, and Ryunosuke too has to go back to Japan, although much less frequently;

Herlock as a detective knows how secrets are sometimes needed, Herlock himself has way too many secrets may it be his own or others, secrets that one slip can put a target on his back, that's why he acts like a himbo or rather clueless most of the time.

He also uses that himbo personality of his to trick his darling that he doesn't know what they're talking about, making his darling dismiss his unhealthy behavior.

I also think that it would take ALOT of work to even find a secret about Herlock but before you could even take a step to find any dirty secrets of his, Herlock already stops you. You were supposed to meet someone who knows even a single clue about a secret of his? Well once you open the door after numerous times of knocking you'll see Herlock smoking is pipe while he looks at you with a cunning eye.

Day 23 - Opposites Attract

Note(s): Herlock is such an interesting character to write for. I really do love Capcom's version of this Sherlock Holmes.

In his mind, there was absolutely no reason why he should be so attached to you. You both met during one of his cases. You were actually a suspect that he was convinced played a larger part in a murder (which Ryunosuke thankfully shut him down on). You're calm and collected while he's all over the damn place, trying to put the pieces together to a single-colored puzzle.

It just doesn't make sense as you're sitting in a chair across from him, staying quiet and listening as he rambles and tells you about some case or whatever Iris had invented recently. His hands are moving as he speaks, emphasizing his words with his gestures. And then when you speak, you have your thoughts together and concise. You're not waving your limbs wildly while telling a story. It doesn't make sense.

And maybe that's why he is so attached to you. You're just a puzzle that he can't solve. That he doesn't know if he wants to solve. A missing piece that he can't quite fit in anywhere. Herlock brought that analogy up to Iris before, only to get back something like, "Don't compare someone you have a crush on to a puzzle."

It felt a bit absurd to him. Being told that the way he feels this way is because he has a crush on you. Because that's not quite right. A crush is just a small thing that can be fleeting or can blossom into more overtime. What he feels for you isn't a crush because it's in full bloom, he just hasn't identified what sort of flower it has become.

Herlock has thought about bringing these analogies to your attention, but he doubts you'll understand them. Don't get him wrong, you're smart in your own way. Your logic just isn't the same as his. He is a master detective and you're... well you're very aesthetically pleasing to him.

Honestly, it is a bit frustrating. His emotions are in turmoil because he wants to figure out this thing when it comes to you. You both have met multiple times - him being the one to ask you to meet - because he hoped the more time he'd spend with you, the faster he'd understand. Yes, Herlock understands that feelings are involved. That he is fond of you, but you both are nothing alike so how is that possible?

"Not everything needs an answer," you had said to him once when he was venting his frustrations. Your answer just added to his frustration because yes it does. He's a detective. He believes in science. Everything has an answer and those that don't mean that it hasn't been found yet. "You're going to get gray hairs and wrinkles if you keep worrying yourself so much," you added teasingly and Herlock was ready to pull his hair out with how much he enjoyed your teasing.

But maybe... Maybe you're right. Maybe he should stop worrying so much about why he likes you and worry more about how to show you how he feels. Romantic feelings aren't something that he excels at and so he already feels another complication coming up. But with another complication, that just means more time to spend with you and figure it out together. And he quite likes the idea of that.

since you're dating him, you get introduced to all the hundreds of people he knows! after all, it would be rude if he didn't introduce, would it?

even when you're at his place, it's never just the two of you!

iris, ryunosuke or susato are always around, but it's only a matter of time until you warm up to them and grow comfortable around them

the three of them are much more understanding about your shyness and sometimes have to scold sholmes when he'd being a bit too much

but it's not like dating herlock only has negative aspects!

he's an extrovert through and through and whenever you're too shy to say or do something, herlock is there to take your place and help you out!

CW/TW + Tags: Mild language. A bit of tension if you squint, but mushy fluff towards the end. [Implies more of a platonic friendship, but could be interpreted as a romantic one as well. GN! Reader]

Summary: Someone ate your favorite cookies! And it only took a very short amount of time to figure out who did.

[(A/N): OKAY OKAY. I'm back after being dead for some time! The writers block was horrible.. Anyways, this is not a request but here's a small fic I wrote just to ease back into writing! I hope it's not too bad. Lowkey pulled this out of my ass, but I just wanted to write SOMETHING.]

"Who ate my bloody cookies?!" you screech. After having to help all day with Ryunosuke and Susato with investigations, all you wanted was a bite of sweet and yummy goodness.

And now that was ruined because not a single crumb are to be found in the small jar you had stored them in. The only remains are tiny bits resting on your desk.

Couldn't have been Susato or Ryunosuke, since we were out together, you think to yourself, taking a seat on the sofa. Nor could it have Iris either. She's been gone since I woke for groceries.

The sound of a screeching violin floods your ears, and your mind quickly thinks of the only person who could have done it. Sholmes.

And before you know it, you're making your way downstairs to confront him. Not even the sound of his horrible violin playing was stopping you.

"Sholmes!" you whine. "You ate my cookies didn't you?" His playing stops, and turns to you to reply.

"Cookies? My, I would never!"

"But no one else could have done it! It had to have been you."

"Ah, but I promise my dear fellow. I wouldn't dare eat your cookies."

You sigh, but just as you were about to give up you spot crumbs on Sholmes' face. How come you weren't able to notice them at first? "Wait...what are those crumbs on your face, Sholmes?"

Sholmes realizes his mistake, and sheepishly scratches the back of his neck. "O-Oh! Those were just from a snack I had earlier. They weren't your cookies, I swear!"

You raise your eyebrow and let your eyes wander to his desk. "Really? You sure?"

"Sure as can be!"

"Then what is that on your desk?"

You point to the half bitten cookie sitting on top a pile of letters. "That looks like one of my cookies."

At this point, Sholmes realizes he has lost when he turns his head to the pile of letters. With a sigh of defeat, he gives in and confesses that he did eat the cookies. His face drops in shame. "I'm very sorry, I was feeling quite peckish and the first thing I had spotted was your jar of cookies. I didn't think about how you would feel.."

You stood there, not knowing how to really respond and having a bit of a sense of guilt for overreacting. After a moment, you tap on his shoulder to get his attention and say, "..No. It's fine, I overreacted a bit. You don't need to feel sorry."

Sholmes slowly lifts his head up. The little puppy eyes that he often makes and the reply that comes with it only made you feel soft. "Is there anyway I could make it up to you?"

You glance over at the clock on the wall, showing 5 o'clock in the early evening. "There's still some time in the day to spare. How about we bake more of those cookies?"

His face lights up like a lightbulb, and he quickly stands up straight. "I would love to! Come on my dear fellow, off to the kitchen we go!"
