kazuma likes to tease ryunosuke a lot, which is how those little duels usually start. and you always have to break it up, by letting both boys know that you love them equally, no matter who wins their little quarrel!

ryunosuke is equally affectionate with both you and kazuma, while kazuma is often more affectionate towards you! his affection towards ryunosuke is always much more playful than gentle, as it is with you!

kazuma is the one in your relationship who's wearing the pants! he wants the two of you to rely on him to help shoulder your burdens and protect you at all times!

due to how confident kazuma is, he has no problems with taking the initiative either! if he wants to kiss you, he'll simply ask for a kiss or surprise you with one!

ryunosuke tries to be more like kazuma and make the first move too, but he's always a blushing and flustered mess when he attempts to surprise you with a kiss or hug!

despite kazuma and ryunosuke's little rivalry in court, the two of them trust you and each other to ask for help with their cases! even if kazuma and ryunosuke are working on opposite sides on the same case, the two of them care more about finding out the truth instead of winning!

most of your dates with the two boys are squeezed in between helping them with paperwork at the office! if you manage to find some free time, the three of you drink some tea together and enjoy some cake!

depending on how busy they are, only one of the boys might have time for you! but neither of them is jealous when they're excluded from couple activities due to work!

while they aren't jealous when it comes to each other, kazuma can get quite jealous when anyone else tries to hit on you! his feelings get the better of him in that moment and he'll get a bit possessive, always demanding a kiss afterwards, to reassure himself that you still love him!

howdy there is it okay if could ask for ace attorney headcanons on how barok susato kazuma and naruhodo would react to finding out their s/o is biracial being mixed race of japanese and British/European parents/descent I feel like the reader kept it a secret from them at first because people can get quite discriminatory towards people of mixed races I just think the readers parents had a case of forbidden love

Note(s): I have had friends of mixed races that talked about quite a bit of discrimination they've met and it's really honestly really gross. I'm sorry that you went through that stuff and I hope these headcanons can offer some comfort.

Barok

Well, he's made some racial comments towards Naruhodo so I feel like when first meeting you, he did the same thing. But then he grew close to you and developed feelings and realized how his words might've impacted you in the beginning. You get apologies for that before he calls you "exotic", thinking it's a compliment to describe your attractiveness.

You'll have to tell him that no, it's also kind of offensive too. Honestly, there's probably a lot of terms that you'll have to have a talk with him about just because of the time period and also how he is. It's very much a learning process as he realizes how his words must have really hurt you and he didn't even know.

He ends up giving you loads of apologies. It's very much a learning process especially since you become his partner and he really doesn't want to do anything to upset or offend you.

If you let him, then he'd like to give you a long hug with many kisses to the top of your head as he murmurs apologies again and again. You can bet that he definitely becomes a huge protector of you after that too with glaring or bringing up ways he could get someone jailed for being rude to you.

Kazuma

He scoffs when he hears you're facing discrimination. The fact that people can be so awful to other people makes him sick.

If you allow him, then he'd pull you into his arms and let you know that he still cherishes you more than anything.

Naruhodo

He already has no issues with pointing out injustices and wouldn't hesitate to point out the racism that you're going through just because you're mixed.

Might argue with you a bit if you don't want him to make a big deal about it, but he'll eventually respect your wishes.

While he doesn't completely understand how difficult things must be for you, he does understand some of the racism.

He was met with quite a bit of it when he did go to Britian originally (honestly, he probably still comes across people that aren't so quiet and asks insensitive questions).

But if he does learn you've had a particularly bad experience one day then he'll gladly take you home and make you some tea.

He's very sweet with comforting you, giving you a small kiss to your temple and even offering you a massage if you want. He doesn't think he's the best at massages though so be ready to tell him if he's being a bit too hard.

Susato

At hearing your story and why you hide your race, she's very upset. Not at you, but at how awful you're treated just because you're not what society wants you to be.

Susato understands the racism as she got a bit of it when she traveled to England, but the fact that you've had it on both sides really annoys her. She'll gladly speak out about it to those that discriminate if you want her to.

And the fact that your parents had to most likely fight to be together to have you, well Susato wants to just toss someone because it's really annoying to know you're going through so much crap because of who you are.

Gladly reminds you that she loves and cares for you. Absolutely would love to hear about your experiences (the good ones) too because she wants to hear how things might've been different in your household compared to what she knows.

Phoenix Wright:

Mia set the standards of a lawyer really high;

Yes, he did recognize talented lawyers and knew to be humble, but he never found someone as great as her;

He read in the newspapers about a new lawyer who managed to win some cases that many of his coworkers refused to take;

He did some research on her and all the cases she handled, just out of curiosity;

And noticed that each case was notably tangled in its facts;

His curiosity brought him to court to attend one of her trials and see with his eyes if what the papers said was true;

He stayed in the background for some time, but eventually the fact that both of them were lawyers brought them to work together, and ultimately together;

She also started to attend his trials, and often wanted to discuss them with him, getting close;

Whenever a paper talked about her case and her "invincibility", he bought it and just added it to his collection;

They both learned a lot from each other, and even though she "stole" Phoenix's spotlight, he was more than happy and proud to leave her to these praises;

Trucy was kind of sad when another lawyer joined the house, but she easily influenced her, too, with her passion for magic;

They were often apart, since both their services were needed almost everywhere;

She traveled more willingly abroad, while Phoenix preferred to stay in the country, mostly because of Trucy and his old age and body;

So they also learned to deal with the distance.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo:

They met when Ryu was still learning how to be a good defense lawyer;

He got close because he heard about her and her skills from the inspectors, the various papers both Susato and Sholmes bought daily and in the court itself;

Whenever he wasn't defending someone, he was in court anyway to be a witness to others' trials and learn the profession faster;

It eventually became a fair trade, she helped him with law studies, and he taught her some Japanese;

When things started to get more serious, they had to start seeing each other "in secret", since the Japanese were not yet fully accepted in England, and the last thing he wanted to do was ruin in some way her career;

In court he often posed as her assistant, doing his best to understand each case and be somewhat useful for both her and his studies;

(He often loses some documents, so this task is quickly set aside);

He enjoys so much imagining the various cases and performing them, as if in a theatre, and very soon involves her in this "hobby";

She is often called to various countries to represent hers and to study new law systems, and Ryunosuke too has to go back to Japan, although much less frequently;

Each letter they send to each other in those times is jealously and preciously preserved;

And whenever they're finally reunited, travels are suspended for quite some time.

I'm writing shorts drabbles as of rn bc I literally forgot how to write/ the persona of characters, so these kinda drabble are like a work out, so I'm really sorry if this is bad/off characters and sorry of a lot of these were super rushed I just couldn't think of an ending(〃＞＿＜;〃) also I'm trying a lot of aesthetic as of right now

[♡]ー ꒱・！the uptight young lawyer - RYUNOSUKE NARUHODO.

A stuttering, blushing mess was the boy; Ryunosuke Naruhodo when you accepted his love confession. He was not intense unlike a certain best friend of his when showing his affections towards you, he's sweet and charming in his own ways making sure that he's doing everything in his power to be the best lover to his beloved.

He's quite suffocating with his affections but you can live with that you think. He was in your opinion the best lover you ever had until you started noticing that a lot of your friends were drifting away from you ever since you started dating Ryunosuke, you tried your best not to think deeply about it but then you noticed the guy who used to flirt with you at campus started avoiding you like a plague, and then like a courtroom evidence started stacking off. Remember that one friend who warned you about Ryunosuke? Yea, they were now in prison for a crime. You really wanted to talk about it to Ryunosuke but all he's giving you was murky answers. Before you wanted to ask for more questions, he opposed a question,

"Do you not love me? If you do, then why are you doubting me (Y/n)?"

Ryunosuke isn't powerful or courageous but he does know his ways on words.

[♡]ー ꒱・！the sharp tongue samurai - KAZUMA ASOUGI.

My, it seems like you caught the eye of the composed, yet hot-blooded Kazuma Asougi. Him being determined to claim your heart by courting you, you felt super flattered. It's not like everyday you'll see anyone declare their intention of courting someone in front of a whole crowd and better yet someone as handsome and diligent as Kazuma.

Everyday he'll pick you up at your estate, maybe even trying to woo your parents into thinking he's a perfect partner for their child. Maybe it's his passionate words about how he's ready to climb mountains after mountains just for your soft everlasting touch. Let's say after his whole speech his name will be brought up more every time you visit or eat together with your family.

At first you thought that this was too good to be true, Kazuma is always the first person you'll see in the morning, he'd carry all your stuff for you and even bring you gorgeous accessories, until he became quite overbearing...

He'd act so possessive over you, making sure that every free moment of your time should be with him. He'd act so jealous whenever you're getting too close to your male or female friends. There isn't a single moment where you can't hear his name on someone's mouth and your parents didn't help either, they were always gushing about him like how he helped your mother pick up some groceries or how your father talks about how he's easy to bond with, maybe if you have siblings; younger siblings to be exact rants of how big brother Kazuma help them with their homework and after that played with them. It was too much, you want time for yourself. But you can't do that now, rejecting a man like Kazuma would not only make your parents see you with dejected eyes but also Kazuma is a stubborn man, no matter what you say or do he'll always be coming back to you. No matter what he won't back down.

Sometimes being passionate and determined can lead you to being stubborn.

[♡]ー ꒱・！the strong yet warm-hearted assistant - SUSATO MIKOTOBA.

How charming and unique she is; Judicial assistant Susato Mikotoba was always there for you, she was a woman who you can truly depend on, she'll always there's help you giving you new knowledge she's a determined and fierce woman if she ever hears someone talks bad about you she would be giving them a great scolding.

You were used to the smell of tobacco and sweet pastries ever since you became close to the infamous detective: Herlock Sholmes and his assistant slash adopted kid slash border Iris Wilson. He may have a reputation and name for being called a great detective but if you spend even a second with him you might even find yourself wondering if the man in front of you even called a detective after all his deductions that do not even come close to being correct it's quite concerning time to time but that's the reason what led you to be close to him. You were helping him in every job he decided to accept you helped him fill in some missing logic, little but still crucial things, that's the reason why he kept on dragging you to new cases you basically didn't even have time to do your own detective work.

While your relationship with Iris was wholesome, she'd make some of the most delicious sweets you have ever tasted, and whenever both of you have remaining time you help her bake or cook dinner It truly a heartwarming bonding with her. Or maybe there are days when you and Iris are playing with each other she might be a genius but she is still a little girl. You really tried to avoid the feeling but both of them were overbearing in their ways, you one day decided to talk to them about their behavior and how much they were taking so much of your time but whenever you looked at their eyes especially Iris's the words would just die on your mouth and eat dinner with them with a sad smile on your face, Herlock would try his best to be more comfortable around with him and Iris the sweetheart she is would try to pry those thoughts off you.

Herlock knew exactly what he was doing with the help of Iris the both of them would be like one happy family, you wouldn't leave them, right?

[♡]ー ꒱・！the boot-rising, lip service deadly prosecutor - BAROK VAN ZIEKS.

Barok Van Zieks hates you. He hated how determined you were when helping the defense clear out the defendant's name and how your eyes spark with hope when doing so.

You made his almost dead heart slowly beat for the first time in many years, he kept on investigating you, digging information after information on you, every time you were on a new case he would also be there, and he would throw some snarky remarks towards the attorney you were working with but never towards you. Whenever he's stressed or had a bad day he'd always look at a picture of you and his heart would beat faster, he just couldn't get enough of you.

Barok knew what he was feeling wasn't normal and he was guilty for it. But he just couldn't resist you. The last straw was when he got injured when protecting you from a gunshot, probably the person was tied to the case and didn't want anyone finding out, besides the point. He woke up with you beside him with eyes with care and concern only for him. He hates you for him making feel greedy. He hates how much he yearns for you. He also hates himself that his heart is so weak for a person that everyone and anyone could love. You're so nice, kind, caring, understanding, selfless and so strong, that he can barely stand seeing you with another man when you've just started going out with even if it's just your legal companion.

... you made the Barok van Zieks weak.

And yet he loves you for it.

[♡]ー ꒱・！the rather easily flustered young girl - REI MEMBAMI.

Gallant! Dashing! Such compliments could be said by Rei to you, she would praise everything you do. Gushing, Fussing at everything you do it's too much to bear, but you don't want to break the girl's heart. Why should you that girl is head over heels for you, and ready to put anything including her below you, your needs will always be first!

She's always with you making sure that you won't get hurt but if you do get hurt then get ready for an incredibly adrenaline-rushed lady, she would fuss over it even if it's a paper cut, but don't worry she didn't learn medicine for nothing so let her take care of you!

She would be bandaging your wound while trying to keep her cool but how can she? She's touching the skin of her beloved so how can she contain her lovestruck smile. Oh, how she dreamt about this! Like one of those fairytales when the princess heals the Knight. Now, would you love her and protect Rei like a princess while you act as her courageous Knight? You do love her, right?

[♡]ー ꒱・！the honest and hard-working sick detective - SATORU HOSONAGA.

He's an honest and hardworking man and you love him for that. Your fiance Satoru Hosonaga; a detective is such a lovely man. He's devoted to you making sure that you eat and sleep well, he's even the one making your bentos, better yet even if he's a detective he always has the time to make dinner for you. Day and night he's always on your side, ready to protect and smother you with his love.

He would praise the floor which you've walked upon, how could he not? You were sweet and caring no wonder why he was attracted towards you, but like candy unwrapped and left unsupervised it will attract some flies, just like how your sweet honey personality attracted many suitors. Hosonaga knows his limits as a detective and the power he yields as one, he tried to be logical about it first but whenever one of your suitors were making moves on you all he sees is read and all logic are thrown out of the window, the longer he stays away from you the more he yearns of you.

He'll keep you safe, and you'll always be loved by him, his love for you is expected of your soon-to-be husband.

barok is very out of his element when it comes to receiving affection. he hasn't experienced anything like that in years; it's very foreign to him.

he will definitely blush ever so slightly whenever you give him any sort of affection. he stops for a moment, going rigid under your touch, before finally responding.

he's not opposed to any affection, though! he gladly accepts any form of love you wish to show him. he's very thankful that he has someone like you who cares for him so much.

if there's one thing he loves most, it's hugs from you! they remind him of hugs that klint used to give him, so naturally they put him at ease.

play with his hair and he'll be putty in your hands. the feeling of your hands in his hair really grounds him. it's when you can physically see barok relax.

he's not the hugest on kisses, but he appreciates when you lightly kiss his forehead or cheek! it's one gesture that he will instantly copy, giving you a kiss where ever you kissed him

give him a random kiss while he's working at his desk and the smile won't leave his face for the rest of the day. he'll be thinking about that kiss for hours.

hug him from behind while he's practicing his violin and he nearly forgets how to play. he'll have to remind himself that he's playing because he's too focused on your hands around his waist.

write him notes!! he will hang them up around his desk so he can constantly be reminded of you.

honestly - you can give him any form of affection and he will absolutely love it. he just adores getting love from his love!

ryunosuke is not not used to affection, but he definitely can be shy about! he's the kind of person that gets all blushy whenever you decide you want to give him some love.

he can just never seem to get used to it! no matter how much love you give him, his heart does flips every time you give affections.

definitely hand holding is one form of affection that he loves! whenever you two are walking, he loves when you just slip your hand into his.

on top of that, squeeze his hand! it makes him feel so comforted and he will squeeze yours back as an 'i love you'.

Bad Cramps

This writer is in period amd she's in feral mind state, no beta read so get the fuck off if you don't like this post.

Barok x short chubby reader cause I say so. She has a nickname called Pumpkin.

Platonic Herlock/Reader if you aware that part.

Today's another trial day, the councils are the Reaper of Bailey and the great attorney from East country.

But your body decides to stab your back today.

Curling up in your bed, you don't want to move, don't want to do anything. But you want to hear those familiar voices of your friends.

The waves of sting feeling inside your lower belly and back and everywhere just triggered your unreasonable angry.

Suddenly, you got a new plan.

"Hello, this is Herlock Sholmes." The man said while you can hear the sounds around him.

"Herlock, are you in the Bailey now?"

"You sounds like you're weak or something, Miss Pumpkin. Do you need some help? And yes, I am going to see Mr. Reaper and Mr.Naruhodo's trial today."

You bite down your lip and take a deep breath so that you wouldn't yell at Herlock.

"Wonderful. Can you remain this open so I can listen too? I can't go there but I still want to listen to it. Please Herlock, O the great detective!"

Herlock doesn't say anything, but you can imagine he's raising his eyebrows with a confused and amused face right now.

"As you wish, my lady, but can I get the reason for why you can't come along? And I don't see Heather either."

You clear your throat, "She's with me since I kind of in sick. My back and belly hurt and I am bleeding regularly."

"You what?!"

"Don't be an idiots Herlock, the regular bleeding within women!"

"Oh."

You roll your eyes and turn to the other side.

"Alright, wish you feel better soon, Miss Pumpkin."

"Thanks."

Hearing Barok's voice always brings you peace.

It doesn't matter it's his crashing glass sound, his insults to the jurors, witness or the defence lawyer. You don't mind those harsh words right now.

His deep, rich and smooth voice is what you need at this moment.

You craved for his comfort words.

You craved for his warm touch or even hugs.

Of course, you know this is all your mind and fragil state tricking you. But you don't want to be reasonable for now.

You are bleeding, what would hurt more about dreaming?

To Noruhodo Ryunosuke, it's not his first time to see Lord van Zieks be annoyed and impatience.

But it's his first time to see that prosecutor be that gloomy and aggressive.

So far, Lord van Zieks broke 7 glasses and 2 bottles of wine, and one leg slam in the first three hours.

His death glares are cold enough to freeze the witness and defendant on the spot. Even Asogi and the judge could feel his stormy mood.

"I see Miss Heather isn't come today, does she feel sick or something, Lord van Zieks?"

The prosecutor cross his arms, his eyes are closed. Then he open them with a neutral face.

"Pray forgiveness for the discourtesy of unfocused in this trial, my Lord. I do be bothered by the reason she can't be here. But the true reason got me so impatient with, is the nonsense of my learned friiend."

Everyone could see your unusual aggressive, Lord van Zieks. And how could this be my fault......

"Be careful, Naruhodo. The enemy is awake now, time to bring it to a new possibility and find the truth." Asogi peeks at his lawyer friend and warned him.

"Oh, ugh, right! Thanks, Asogi."

In the break of twenty minutes, Mr.Sholmes sneak into the lounge.

"It's a bad weather today, don't you think, Mr. Naruhodo?" The detective says and smokes his pipe.

"If you mean the prosecutor, then yes it's worse than usual." Naruhodo slumps and has cold sweats.

"Heather isn't here, could that means that Miss Pumpkin is kind of in trouble or something such?" Asogi puts his fingers under his jaws.

"She's uncomfortable today, feels sick. So I let her my ears." Mr.Sholmes snaps his finger and takes out his phone device.

"We're adjourned for twenty minutes now so you can say hi to the boys, Miss Pumpkin."

"...Hello?"

Naruhodo and Susato cheers in excitement.

"Miss Pumpkin! Are you alright? Mr.Sholmes said......"

"Yeah I heard him, just a normal problem, don't worry about it. And you're doing so well so far, guys."

"But Lord van Zieks is so scary today, he's even scarier to Naruhodo-sama! I thought we'll be hung up or something when this trial has its end."

"Don't - Don't say that, Susato-san!"

"He's in that bad mood? Why? The witnesses or the jurors step on the death line or something?"

"I think the answer is more simpler, Miss Pumpkin." Asogi shakes his head.

"He's in the bad mood cycle like a black cat he is? Is that what you're saying about?"

"True but no."

"You confuse me."

When the baliff announced they need to move, you called Naruhodo's name.

"Naruhodo, I think the cake is a lie, you need to review your judicial records."

"The cake? Oh ugh I will, thanks Miss Pumpkin."

"Mr. Disanst, you said that you were going to a bakery, can you tell us why you were going to there?"

"Oh uhm... You know, my wife has a sweet tooth and she craves the sweet when she's in mood or having a bad pain monthly. So I buy her cake when she doesn't feel good."

Some audience in aww and compliant him.

Yet, Naruhodo found that there's no cake on the table in the photo.

And there's a butter knife on the cabinet, with a cup of tea.

"But it's weird, there's no cake in the photo, a butter knife and a cup of tea with a strong drug in it are set behind the door, right on the cabinet. Can you tell me why and who put them there?"

"Who knows? Maybe my wife? And I didn't eat cake with my wife you see. I was in the living room."

Naruhodo slams the table.

"Objection! I am afraid the cake is a lie, Mr.Disanst."

"You didn't in the living room, you were in the bedroom. You drugged your wife to put her into sleep, and you took this chance to strangle Miss Cassandra to death before you stabbed the butter knife into her chest and left your unconscious wife with the body."

"You-You have no evidence! This are all your imagination! Why would I kill Cassandra?"

"It's the letter and the cake, Mr.Disanst. You cheated on your wife with Miss Cassandra. She baked the cake and you poured the drug in the tea. You two were planning to kill your wife, but you accidentally found her secret, her betrayal with a backup plan to blackmail you. So you killed her, set your own wife up, so you could keep playing the victim role."

The case is dismissed, and Lord van Zieks seems to lost in his thoughts.

After the trial, he rushes to a famous bakery nearby the Court.

pairing: ryunosuke naruhodo x gn!reader

tags: established relationship, mostly fluff, some angst

ryunosuke knew that you were anemic and got dizzy very quickly if you didn't take care of yourself, but this was the first time you actually passed out around him!

the poor guy couldn't help but panic, worrying that this might be worse than he could see at first glance!

and since ryunosuke didn't want to take any risks, he quickly picked you up, carrying you on his back all the way back to sholme's suite

there, he had susato take a look at you. after all, her father was a doctor and he hoped that she could help him. but in the end, it was iris that assured him that it was the heat that simply got to you and made you pass out

while you were passed out on the couch, ryunosuke got you some water, for when you'd eventually wake up, as well as a wet towel, to cool you down

when you finally woke up a bit later, he was relieved and quickly grabbed your hand, telling you how worried he was

as you came back to your senses, drinking some water and slowly sitting up, iris and susato joined as well, wanting to make sure that you were alright

and susato couldn't help but tell you how heroic ryunosuke looked when he carried you all the way back to the apartment! luckily for him, susato failed to mention how much he was shaking at that time, out of fright, as well as his legs barely giving in…

Note(s): No worries, this request is just fine! It's only when a request asks for a lot of details that I get a bit iffy about it. But again, this one is fine!!

Apollo

He woke up early that morning to prepare for a trial. He ended up slightly confused as he smelled the aroma coming from the kitchen. Apollo went to investigate and just stared as he saw you in your pajamas, looking exhausted.

Will immediately move to your side and tell you to sit down, he'll finish cooking. If you try to protest then Apollo shakes his head. He'll finish up and then you both can eat together before you go to bed.

Apollo finds it very sweet that you made food for him, but he isn't a fan that you did it at the expense of your own health. He knows the toll your job has on you.

He tries to see if Phoenix or Athena can handle the rest of the trial when afternoon hits so he can go home and spend more time with you (and scold you if he sees you're still awake).

Ryunosuke

He was coming home from a long trial that was finally over, his own feeling of exhaustion hit him. But that went away when he came home and saw you awake even though he knows how late you work and had told you to get some rest.

Just sighs as he gives you a look when he goes over and pulls you into a hug. You're both tired and honestly, he would love to scold you but he just helps you finish up cooking before you both eat together.

Ryunosuke does thank you for the meal, but tells you that he'll survive without your cooking if you're that tired. After eating, he sets the plates in the sink and tells you that they'll be there for later.

For now, he's dragging you to bed with him because you're both tired and he wants to cuddle with you.

Your first date with Ryunosuke took place in a small restaurant in Japan. Ryunosuke didn't know how to behave properly. He was confused, just like you. You embarrassedly tried to start a conversation, wanting to somehow get rid of the tense silence. Gradually, the tension between you disappeared, giving way to peace and tenderness. You were comfortable with each other and delicious food only improved the situation

You often walked around your favorite places, discussing a variety of topics. He told you with a smile about his studies at the university, sharing his impressions with you. You listened to him with a smile, enjoying the beautiful weather and the company of a person dear to you. You have arranged such small walks quite often

When Ryunosuke went to England, he often wrote letters to you. He wrote to you about different places and how he would like to visit them with you. You knew that you wouldn't be able to arrive in England so quickly, so you decided to make a list of places that you would like to visit with Ryunosuke. You hoped that you would be able to arrive in England as soon as possible, because you missed him so much

When you arrived in England, you spent the first few days visiting the most interesting places in London. After you were informed of his death and you went to England, the dates with Kazuma became only your memories. When your longing became too strong, you remembered your moments together, your dates, and after that your longing passed, because you understood that he would not want you to be sad. Masked Apprentice often evoked memories of Kazuma in you. Sometimes you managed to talk, and although some of his phrases caused you anxiety, he was a pleasant conversationalist. Quite often you caught yourself thinking that they could get along if the circumstances were different

When you and Kazuma reunited after a long separation, you began to spend time together often. And even though he was often busy in court, he always found time for you. Your dates became less frequent, but you appreciated them much more. After his memory returned to him, he apologized to you for forgetting you for a long time, but you were not angry. You were glad he was alive

Your first date with Herlock took place on the streets of London. You decided to just walk around the city, enjoying such rare good weather. You walked for a long time through the streets of the city, looking at the shop windows, watching the performances of street musicians and just enjoying each other's company. At the end of your walk, the weather turned bad and it started to rain, so you ran home laughing. Even the rain couldn't spoil your mood

When Iris appeared in your life, your dates began to take place in her company. When she was very young, you couldn't leave her alone at home, so you were content with what you had. Taking care of the child was tiring, but it also created a special, family atmosphere, as if you were a married couple who had been together for many years, but still had tender feelings for each other

When Iris got older, she often began to tell you that you need to go somewhere together. You were touched by the girl's concern for your relationship. Herlock also often thought that you could go somewhere together, since Iris herself insisted on it so stubbornly. You began to go to different places often. You and Barok rarely went on dates. He was often busy because of work, so most often you spent time at home, relaxing after a hard day. You understood that Barok rarely had weekends, so you didn't get upset about it. You understood that he was very tired, so you just tried to help him rest at least at home

When you still managed to get out of the house, you went to restaurants, to the theater or to the opera. Each of your trips to such places was accompanied by his gallantry. He tried to make up for all the time that you spent apart. You couldn't hold back a gentle smile seeing his efforts. You appreciated it and responded to his concern in the same way

Sometimes, when he had a weekend off, you went to the city and walked the streets, as you used to walk before, when Barok's older brother was still alive. Then you had much more free time and you could walk around the city until dark, although even then you were sometimes attacked by his brother's detractors

Despite the rare dates, you and Barok were happy together. You took care of each other, helped each other cope with difficulties, supported each other. You have experienced many hardships and losses together, so every moment filled with happiness was brighter and more valuable for you

The time was just past ten o’clock post-noon. In the dark of night, the only sounds to be heard from outside were the steady, predictable claps of the souzu fountain in the garden complemented by its soft trickle. Once the house’s three occupants had all dressed and freshened up a bit, Asougi turned to his guests (both of whom had neglected to bring a set of sleepwear and thus had each been forced to borrow one of his own) with a contrite look upon his face.

“Well, it pains me to say it, but, erm…I’m afraid this is the only spare futon I have.”

The two glanced at the bedding folded under his arm, then at each other, then in opposite directions the instant their eyes met.

“That’s alright,” Naruhodou replied before {Fn} could. “She can have it. I’ll just sleep on the floor.”

“Naruhodou-san, I can’t let you do that.”

He looked genuinely perplexed by her statement. “What do you mean?” he blinked.

“While the two of you get that sorted,” their host chimed in as he finished straightening out the corners of the blanket, “I’ve got an exam coming up in a few days, so I’ll be in the study for a while yet. Make yourselves at home and let me know if you need anything.”

“I really am fine without it,” Ryuunosuke insisted as the door to the guest room slid shut behind his friend. “I’ve slept on just tatami before. It’d be no trouble at all.”

“Look.” She swivelled to face him. “Didn’t you say tonight was about me earlier?”

“Um… Well, yes.”

“And I want you to be comfortable.”

That really was the exact opposite of why he’d said that. He’d wanted her to be able to forget about anyone else’s needs for a night, but…

He sighed. “I suppose…if it’s going to weigh on your conscience that heavily, then…” His fingers gravitated toward the back of his neck. “Maybe, we could share…? U-Unless that’d make you uncomfortable, in which case—”

“No, no, I’d love to.”

What in the world was that? His ears turned a vivid pink, as did her whole face.

“I mean—!” The words had come out of her mouth with such unprecedented ease. “Yes, it’s fine by me if you are. Er, if you’re fine by it. Wait, no, if—”

“I think it’d be alright.” He cut her off just as she had him a moment ago. So he wasn’t bothered by her entirely too enthusiastic slip of the tongue just now. Thank the heavens. “Just for tonight.”

And so it was that the two slept quite literally side-by-side. Though painfully awkward in his annunciation, he offered her his shoulder as a place to rest her head, seeing as there was only a single pillow to go around. She was quick to accept, to both his relief and concern. What if the erratic sound of his heart racing, in spite of the fact that this situation was strictly platonic, kept her awake?

But no later than she’d made contact with his shoulder was she out like the flame of the candle.

What an exhaustive day she’d had, he realised as he lay awake for a short while. First her usual seven-to-five routine at the university, then sukiyaki, followed by the trip here, after which they’d all but immediately gotten down to business, leaving her hardly any time to rest at all.

He drew the edge of the blanket over her shoulder, exposed by the jinbei’s loosely sewn seams. Contrary to what he’d expected, having at first been acutely aware of the weight of her thinly clothed body against his, it didn’t take long to adjust to it. He stared blankly down at her lashes—veils acting to hide the ever-lingering crescents of shadow below her eyes from his own. After a few quiet moments like this, he thought, Why not? and gave himself up to the lure of the warm scent of another person beside him, burying his face in her sex-dishevelled hair and holding her close.

When morning came, {Fn} awoke to an arm strewn lackadaisically across her body from behind.

Her eyes cracked open bit by bit as her surroundings came into focus. She breathed in, then was instantly hit by the scent of the clothes she’d been lent to wear overnight and, hence, by the scent of he who had lent them to her. Whatever dream she’d been having quickly faded into obscurity and in its place, memories of the previous night came flooding in.

Now that she was fully awake and no longer blearily staring off into space, she noticed the absence of her friend in the English department beneath her head. He must have woken up not long before she and made an early departure, she pondered. It was a mild disappointment that he hadn’t said something before taking his leave, but oh well. Perhaps he’d elected to do so simply out of consideration. She smiled quietly to herself. It was just like him to do something like that for such a reason, after all.

But if it wasn’t Naruhodou-san holding her, then…

The arm wound itself snugly around her middle as the body attached to it rolled over and into her back. He let out a low, rumbling groan as he did so, tickling the nape of her neck with his breath. She stiffened, fearful that any sudden moves might rouse the beast. His red hot glare as he’d held her wrist in a vicelike grip was still fresh in her mind. She didn’t dare contemplate what would have happened to her if he were to have been awakened prematurely. The thought was petrifying.

Then the thrum of his heartbeat against her shoulder blade made itself known. Soft, and slow. It felt strange—more so than it ought to have done.

With the utmost caution, she gave into curiosity and twisted her shoulders around. Even when fast asleep, he seemed to have his guard up. That or it was just the natural shape of his brow. In any case, surely none who knew him would ever have imagined Kazuma Asougi to be the cuddly type, though come to think of it, she didn’t have a guess as to why not.

Upon further reflection, she realised that this was the most vulnerable she had ever seen him. An inscrutable pang jabbed at her heart when the chilling look of apathy she’d received upon foolishly bringing up the topic of his family the evening prior materialised in her mind’s eye. Suddenly the idea of living alone in a place like this, with all its barren rooms and abandoned courtyards, felt like more than any human soul could bear for long.

Could that have been the reason he slept around so much? To fill the void?

Her midriff still captive in his hold, she turned the rest of her body to face him, noticing a menagerie of aches the instant she’d started to move. Once she’d managed to rotate the full one-hundred-and-eighty degrees, however, the choice of what to do next gave her pause. Her arms were folded tightly between her front and his, barely an inch of distance left between his chin and her forehead, and their legs lay uncomfortably parallel to each other, knees knocking together. She hadn’t thought a bit of this through, had she?

With the hesitance of some unfortunate vermin who’d already made the mistake of wandering into a seemingly similar trap once before, she raised her upward-facing arm, only to find that his broad frame was so much so that she couldn’t get it quite all the way around him without her hand flopping out at an odd angle. There was already nowhere to go for the arm she was lying on. She paused again, her brow beginning to furrow, before making a bungling attempt to swing one leg over the pair of his, which of course ended once again in failure.

After another minute or two of fruitless struggling, he startled her with another, slightly lengthier groan. Both eyes still closed, he took her arms and manually wrapped them about his own waist, pulled each of her legs forward to intertwine with his, then gathered her head in his arms toward his chest, letting it fall effortlessly into place in the crook of his chin.

In the wake of all this, he let out a deep, warm sigh of contentment, sinking into her body as it was pressed flush to his. To contrast his now utterly relaxed state, she was more tense and more full of questions than ever.

-> ryunosuke: never fails to make you smile. this man is unintentionally funny. sometimes he just says what he thinks and forgets to filter to himself. and he's hilarious! there aren't many times when you're around runo where you aren't busting up laughing because he's so funny and enjoyable to be around.

-> susato: very honest with you. sometimes honesty can be a bad thing, but with susato its always very appealing to hear her speak so freely and tell you exactly what she thinks. she's human, so there will be times where she lies and such, but she often finds that being honest with you makes for a healthier relationship.

-> kazuma: knows exactly what to say. somehow he can always articulate the exact right thing to say. whether it's some brutal honesty, him giving advice, or even comfort: it's always exactly what you need in that moment. if you ever need a second opinion on anything, kazuma is your best bet.

-> barok: amazing listener. no matter what you need to talk to him about he will always, always listen you out fully. it could be the littlest thing that you just need to get off of your chest but he will absolutely drop everything to just let you vent. will give advice if wanted, but otherwise he is the perfect person if you just need to talk.

-> herlock: remembers everything. sholmes plays dumb a lot. he plays an act like he doesn't know anything but he actually remembers a lot more than he leads on. he will remember obscure things you wants, random things you said months ago, or somewhere you said you wanted to go. he never forgets even the tiniest details about someone he cares about!

Honestly this/these poor S/O('s), they've gotta deal with a yandere when they are just too good for this world

Honestly, both Kazuma and Ryunosuke would obviously just see the bento box being held out to them and be so shocked. Obviously, they'd know the intention behind it and they'd be so touched.

Ryunosuke would be very flustered, especially if this is based at the start of our journey with him in DGS 1, he's pretty uptight at first but he'd take that bento and just melt. Also he'd rush to show Kazuma because he's a nerd and he'd take his sweet time to eat the bento when it comes to having lunch.

He'd also absolutely try his darned hardest to make a bento for S/O but probably fail miserably. S/O would still eat it though and that would just make his life.

Kazuma will take the bento with just as much awe as Ryu, although he's a lot more composed. He'd thank S/O for making such a lovely bento for him before going to work or to the University, but we all know that he'll be anticipating his lunch break all day.

Barok 😀

Barok what to say about this one huh. So first up when S/O approaches him as he's getting ready to leave for work with a box he's gonna ask them what they're doing. S/O would explain and he'd take it with some reluctance.

I think he'd be more concerned about the fact that S/O made this food themselves, he's got staff to make his food so he'd be of the belief that worrying about such matters is below him, and by extension, below S/O.

I mean don't get me wrong, he'd eat the food and hell he'd enjoy anything his darling made for him because I'm pretty sure that every Ace Attorney x reader blog I've seen is in mutual agreement that he's a simp
