bro if rafe kills any pogue its gotta be pope he's literally the most boring character!!! they had to force the gold to somehow correlate to his family history just to make him seem more interesting
GET OUTTTT I LOVE POPE i think he should kill john b 🥰
baby cameron sleeping in rafes chest; and your brothers like asking a hundred questions and rafes just patiently answering them all
😭😭😭 the visual I have of him in one of the chairs, shirt open for skin to skin and Baby Cameron's sleeping soundly and your brothers are so fascinated by the tiny sleeping form against his chest 🥺
It’ll be cool to see what all the characters are like older, wealthier, put on a pedestal by the town, owning shops/boats, living new lives, etc.
WON'T IT??? What an interesting dynamic to go from "ignored and neglected" to regaled by the entire island!
What will they enjoy about it? What will they hate? I think in some aspects it will be good for their businesses, but in other senses, they'll struggle with it. I think some of them are going to do whatever they can to hold on to Pogue life and may even feel resentment toward the town for paying attention to them now.
As jarring as the 18 month time jump was, as much as I want/expect them to show us what happened (cough jiara cough), I am excited for older Pogues and seeing this new chapter! Even if part of me is a little sad letting go too!
Two dynamics i wanna see have scenes together is Sarah and JJ and Sarah and Pope. Like, the first one, come on. They have such sibling energy around them, they both have crap family and daddy issues and they also have similar colour. They would be epic. And Sarah and Pope, i think at first P would be more distant, i think they could develop an interesting dynamic. I imagine them being sarcastic together
Absolutely yes to both of them. I love how Sarah never knows what to make of JJ because he’s so out there to her. I think they could have a really cute sibling like relationship and they’re two such popular characters so they really should cash in on that! AND they are the two with daddy issues. Totally opposite childhoods and yet they could relate to each other in a way no one else can and I love that. We are obligated to at least one really nice scene between them.
Sarah and Pope is one that would come in more underrated but they could be such cute friends. I feel like Pope would be incredibly awkward around her at first which would be hilarious but imagine them getting to know each other a little better and just making knowing eye contact when the others start to do something crazy. I love it.
I need to get back to writing for her!! anyways this is a heavy one and basically just me giving some backstory lol.
cw: mentions of abuse
Caroline's parents are lawyers and are constantly away off the island and leave their kids: Caroline and their brother, Caleb, alone for days (sometimes weeks) at a time. Her brother being older than her by two years practically helped keep the two of them fed and going to school. Sure, the Cameron's checked in to make sure Caroline and Caleb were alive but the two basically raised themselves since Caroline was like eight years old.
Anyways, because of that her parents were kind of distant (her dad more than their mom) and had very unrealistic standards for their kids. It was usually about grades or surfing competitions or other things that the two kids did but it also graduated to other things as well. And since Caroline was younger, she wasn't as good at things as her brother was at the same time, which led to her father often being emotionally abusive to her. Her brother didn't know about it that much as Caroline tried her best to keep it from him and her mom was often not present for most of the abuse that her father inflicted on her. As as result of this, as soon as Caroline was legally allowed to work (besides things like babysitting) she immediately started earning their own money, wanting nothing to do with their rich asshole parents.
Caroline also came out as bisexual and that she used she/they pronouns when they were thirteen and everything seemed to get worse. Although her father was usually emotionally abusive he never really lay a hand on her since he wanted to keep up appearances and it would be bad if she came to school with a visible bruise. However, all that went away after she came out and she realized that she would never have the father-daughter relationship that she craved. Her brother also found out about this and often made her sleep over at a friend's when their dad was home so that Caroline would be spared his wrath.
Sarah Cameron is the first person outside of their family to find out about what Caroline's father is really like which starts to further their relationship and leads to the two of them spending a lot more time together. JJ is also another person who finds out (later) and actually confronts her dad although she doesn't want him too since despite all of it Caroline still loves her father.
sarah meeting your baby, and rafes like “we’re moving away”
Oop- 🫢 she'd get it though, right? Like she can't blame you guys for wanting to get out and make a new life somewhere else, at least you told her you were going
" you do realise our kids are insane right? " john b spoke, his stare long and out towards the water. the chateau had changed since they were both kids, a suitable fence – not obscuring the water views of course – a garden that was steadily growing, decorated by their children. it had always been a place for family here, and not just john b and sarah's; for @lilyspaintedred and jj's too. audrey, gracie and jake had not long finished the hole that audrey demanded they'd dug. " like, literally insane. i swear audrey's made them dig some freakin'. . . mass grave or something in my yard, " his arm outstretches in the direction of it, audrey was currently examining their work. john b's brows were raised, an exaggerated breath slipping past his lips. " she really is just like jj. "
