it is also notable to me is how vale and marc's strategies in avoiding those kinds of soundbites are SUPER different... like when he's asked about marc in interviews now, usually valentino always gives a vague compliment about marc's riding style and then immediately changes the subject. MARC on the other hand, has an entirely different game plan that tbqh i think kind of runs away from him sometimes. like he always starts with. 1. he was my hero and my idol and is so charismatic and i wanted to fuck him so bad. 2. I'm not gonna lie and say I was familiar with Tanabe's work before watching the premier-- Yes. Feel free to boo me-- at the bare minimum I knew he was an Ex-Ghibli... But my knowledge starts and ends there. Still, a standout piece of animation from an opener that was already flexing it's animation muscles. Tanabe's drawings are loose, but the weighty timing is what grounds and humanizes them. Capturing the normalcy of urban life before disaster strikes.

Twitter is a cesspool honestly, it just feeds on negativity and breeds negativity. Thirteen years I've been a fan of Anna Torv, THIRTEEN YEARS and I've been nothing but respectful towards her as human, if not a bit intense at times because that's what we do as fangirls. Yet in less than a year on twitter I've been made to feel like a creep, judged and talked about (not to mention actively ignored) by people who discovered she existed 6 months ago.

I'm not saying this in a 'fans are better when they've been fans longer' way, that's a stupid notion. But I do think that when you've been fan for a long time, there is a history there, literal years that show how we've behaved through the ages. And context for why some things happened.

You can disagree with some of my choices, I am self-aware enough to realize that if you're not in my head, you don't know why I do things/react the way I do, but I *know* I've been as decent as I could be, I've adjusted my attitude whenever necessary, and I've certainly never, ever meant to do anything Anna herself would find disrespectful.
