LOOK, im still in the middle of assignment month BUT

ascended astarion and his beloved dark urge. the way that if they took a liking to aNYONE, like they took a liking to the old him, he'd throw a hissy fit and then butcher them.

like durge being entertained with someone who reminds them of the way astarion used to be, or even beyond being entertained, god forbid LIKING them? Astarion's aloofness would disappear. Mans would froth at the mouth. Thats HIS pet. Get murder killed. Then would pretend not to care. Would hold the leash a bit tighter though.

The piece of meat sat far too close to his pet.

And it was pissing him off.

At the table no less, with all of his new spawn surrounding them, with blood bags pawing at his arms, this was supposed to be a relaxing dinner. But no. Astarion swirled his goblet, wine red eyes locked onto the whelp staring up with fear and adoration, oh-so grateful for not being a victim of the Dark Urge, but instead a little source of entertainment. All the while, they would run their mouth. It's clear who his beloved saw. Fearful eyes while the tongue bitches and simpers. But the person they were trying to find was gone.

And he'll be damned if his pet's eyes wandered.

The stem of the wine glass cracked as the Dark Urge's mouth tilted into a crooked smile at something they said.

They had just barely finished a story, something about an adventure in a brothel, when there was a wet crack, Astarion's broken glass stem lodged into their throat as he ripped their head brutally back. Blood spurted out, onto their leg, the table and all over the pale elf's shirt. The chatter around the table quietened.

The Bhaalspawn tilted their head at the gruesome mess that had become of their little piece of entertainment before slowly looking up at their beloved. His eyes bubbled with seething anger but his lips quirked into a condescending smile.

"This game was getting boring, Pet."

Tomorrow

I am returning to work after many years as a stay-at-home mother.

I am looking forward to actually working, instead of looking for lost Lego bricks, cooking and doing house chores. Not to mention not having to depend on my husband financially -- we had enough, but my pride was bruised every time I had to ask him to send me money.

I am not looking forward to the corpo part of the work. Our small(ish) software company was swallowed by a gargantuan one and all the parts that were pretty and nice are now gone. However, I managed to negotiate working conditions that would give me time to care for our children.

in my head, greg went to go find DJMM and tried to reboot the big guy to help him clear a path while he tracks down where cassie is underground (i turned "cassie never finding the big guy in the dlc" a set up in my head) while Vanessa tried activating the security nodes to get mxes back online again

I wanted freddy's claims that DJMM "is a friend" to pay off somewhere
