Since this is currently my most active blog with some followers, just wanted to say a few things:

It's so incredibly depressing to see tumblr sellout to the whole AI shit and try to pacify users by the opt-out toggle option when it mostly likely won't do jack shit. Tumblr has been doing shitty things for awhile now, but out of all old social media it was a last shabby bastion for various weirdos, including a fandom weirdo like me.

I'm just an old silly hobbyist artist who badly draws fanart of old cartoons, but even the idea that my stuff will help train AI to be better to stealing desirable art of actual artists, whose work is their livelyhood is fucking maddening. Opting out won't help (Sources say data is already available to companies). Deleting stuff won't help (tumblr have access to deleted blogs and reblogs put your stuff in reach too). Using Nightshade and Glaze is not a viable option for me (my old laptop's specks is not up to support those programs, and I'm too afraid to try and accidently fry it and than all my shit would be lost) and even those doesn't solve the problems of all of my old stuff across like 7 sideblogs+my old tumblr account's 2 blogs.

Of course, maybe all hope is not lost for tumblr. There may be solutions and decisions later down the line. But for now I probably won't be posting any new stuff for a bit while I decide if I want to stay on tumblr and be complicit in feeding the insidious and insatiable AI machines.

And as alternatives, I created new account for bluesky, and consider pillowfort and cohost to share my random silly art. Even dusted out my old tapas and newgrounds accounts, and consider webtoons and comicfury to post and archive my few comics. Hopefully I will share links in my pinned post when I set whatever I decide up, even if all of it is so exhausting and depressing.

The Chazz himself

It’s real loving Chazz hours, let’s go

Why I like them/why I don’t Chazz was a very interesting character for me when I started watching GX for the first time since I was little a couple months back. I went into it expecting not to like him from what I remembered about the show, and at first, I didn’t. He starts out as a spoiled rich brat who isn’t above cheating to make things go his way, so I figured I was right in assuming I wouldn’t like him, but... About 20+ episodes in, Chazz really started to grow on me. After the Interacademy duel, his character really starts to develop, and just... Man, I could talk about Chazz for way too long honestly, but I’ll go ahead and keep it to me loving how he goes from what he was in the first season, where his whole identity revolves around being the best and seeing losing as worse than death, to where he is in season 4, where he’s learned to accept loss as a part of life and doesn’t let it destroy him. Instead, he just gets up and tries again. I love that boy. Proud of him.

What I like about their appearance

Chazz has very pretty eyes, and just a pretty face in general. I also like the shirt he wears, which I’m convinced due to fanart is a halter top of some kind. The purple is a nice contrast against the black. Oh! I also think it’s funny that he wears heeled boots, considering that he’s one of the shortest rivals. He likes to feel tall.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names? See I’m definitely weird in that I think Jun Manjoume is the better name, but whenever I’m talking about him, I tend to use his dub name just because I’m used to it.

OTP

Gxrivalshipping will always be my favorite ship for Chazz, which probably surprises no one following me. I really like the way their friendship develops over the course of GX, and like... The gay tension was always there, and he even blushed when he got called out for quoting Jaden’s philosophy on dueling during the Genex Tournament.  Special mention to Hornetshipping (Chazz/Bastion) for being my second favorite.

NOTP Valentineshipping (Chazz/Alexis). I will admit, having rewatched some of the earlier episodes, it does seem like he had some interest in her before the end of season one, but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth seeing what they chose to actually do with it. Once Chazz has this revelation that Alexis is totally in love with him because of their minds connecting in space or whatever, they just use it as an excuse to make a joke out of Chazz whenever his attraction to her comes up, and it’s never used for anything else, so it’s impossible for me to view it as anything but one of the many contributions to Chazz’s downfall as a serious character. Not to mention Alexis herself is shown to be pretty against the idea of the two of them as a couple, so... Yeah, when one of the characters involved in a ship is canonically against dating the other person, that’s more than enough reason for me to not want to ship it.

OT3 I know a lot of people like Competitorshipping (Jaden/Chazz/Johan), but you know, I think that Jaden/Chazz/Bastion has to be my pick here. Three rivals = 3x the gay tension. There’s a lot to explore there.

Favourite card they use

I love the Armed Dragon line, and at level 10 it’s a fucking beast.

Favourite moment they were in That nightmare loop he wound up in during season 4, where he was doomed to lose an important match over and over again, because it really proves just how far he’s come as a person where loss is concerned. It doesn’t destroy him like it would have in the past, and he doesn’t let himself stay down in the face of defeat. It was just really nice seeing how far he’s come.

Least favourite moment The Ojama suit. That is all I have to say.

Would I fuck, marry or kill them Chazz, like many characters I love, is one I view as a gay son, so I can’t in good conscience pick any of these options.

This is some gross early 2000s fandom shit, i thought we were better than this. Like seriously this is what we mean when we say "genderbends" are transphobic. Not that the entire concept is inherantly that way, but that fandom is SO predictable in how they handle "genderbends" in this disgusting way thats not only transphobic but fetishistic and sexist too. And its the prevalance of this stuff that makes it hard to look at even better stuff without just being reminded that people see you in that horrible negative way OR that horrible fetishistic way that they think is somehow positive support. "Lol ur trans thats sexay thinking about what u got down there" Everyone has met a fuckin uncomfortable "ally" like that...

So yeah thanks for the few people posing different less fucked up ideas for Bowsette, or other more positive princessified characters, or even just better Bowsette designs that still look like Bowser. I mean i know toadette/peachette's design kinda looks nothing like her and more like a younger peach, but i hope that doesnt become a trend in fandom too. I wish theyd at least let toadette keep her colourscheme cos putting her hair colour on the dress instead isnt really noticeably different from peach's shade of pink anyway.

Also honestly trans bowser would be a cool headcanon and i'm sad that now its preemptively ruined before it even started. I was thinking more of bowser as a trans man though, cos that'd be an answer to how he has all these kids with no known mother, and why junior wouldnt even know what his mother looks like. Like trans man bowser actually mothered his children pre-transition, and whoever he was in a relationship with at the time was a horrible asshole who didnt support his transition so bowser wants to keep him away from the kids for their own safety. And like bowser's crush on peach is a very genuine one cos she's like the bastion of all goodness and if he's gonna get into a relationship again after that hellish one he wants to make sure its with someone he can trust. But alas he's pining for someone who simply isn't interested and he needs to learn to respect that and try and find someone else out there who's right for him. And his kids definately still love and accept him as a single father, even if he feels self concious that he can't be the mother they need.

See look at all the moral complexity and additional avenues to redeemability you could get from this headcanon! Or if you happened to headcanon bowser as a trans woman instead, or any other kind of LGBT, yknow? Way more substance than just "identical peach clone but somehow i find it fetishistically hot to imagine peach having a dick BUT not if it meant actually imagining peach being trans, somehow". Seriously the worst part about "trap fetish" is that 99% of people drawibg this stuff all hate trans people at the same time theyre drooling over the concept of us in a more cis-acceptable interpretation they made up in their own head...

Teleported to Overwatch Reader Insert

Just a for fun little reader insert about someone from our fandom being whisked to Winston’s lab and having to talk to the team about our love for them!

3,100 ish words. Female reader. Totally PG. Based off a lil chat I had with @zarcake-writes . 

One minute you were walking through the door from your bathroom to the hallway, and the next you were standing in a dimly lit room you didn’t recognize. You blinked and swiveled around, but your bathroom door was nowhere to be seen – there was just a set of stairs framed by walls that looked to be made of . . . metal? How odd. And oddly familiar. This time you turned more slowly, taking in everything around you. The worn ‘watch your step’ warnings on the floor, the cluttered workbench, the sleek modern style that encompassed everything but the one lone chalkboard. The hologram. There was a friggin’ hologram. An honest to god projected globe just floating above a table. You slowly tip-toed toward it and poked a random stop in Australia. The map zoomed in and brought up a number of news stories from the area. Junkrat and Roadhog were on the front page.

You were in Winston’s lab! In Gibraltar! You’d played on this map a thousand times, and now, for some reason, you were here!

What the actual fuck was going on?!

Just as you were about to start panicking, the lights flickered on, and you yelped in surprise. As you whipped around to look at the entrance, you lost your footing and tumbled to the ground, hitting your head on the table on the way down. You groaned and rubbed the throbbing spot.

A burst of thudding came rushing toward you, and your heart raced. Winston’s movement was even louder than you had ever imagined.

“Are you okay,” he asked worriedly.

You stared up at him in utter amazement. He was so big! And hairy! And soft-spoken.

“Um, yeah,” you stammered. “I think I’m alright.”

“Good,” he said looking around the room curiously. “Uh, how did you get in here?”

“I don’t know,” you say honestly. “I just kinda showed up here.”

The scientist frowned at you, “You just showed up here?”

You flush and give a shy smile, “Yeah. Sounds crazy, right?”

“Sounds impossible,” he replies raising a brow.

“I know! But I promise it’s true! I was just about to grab my stuff and go to work, but then I was here.”

He continued to give you a strange look, but he didn’t seem hostile. “Athena,” he said eventually, “have you been recording my lab today?”

“Of course,” the AI’s voice came from nowhere. It was awesome.

“Can you bring up the video feed for the last few minutes? On my personal computer upstairs,” Winston said rubbing his chin.

“The videos are ready when you are.” You knew you had a dumb grin on your face, but you couldn’t wipe it off. A real AI who could just record everything and bring it up in a split second! Too damn cool!

“Why don’t you come up with me,” Winston said jerking his head toward the staircase. “I’d like to keep an eye on you.” He was sounding rather suspicious now.

The two of you entered his office, Winston holding the door open for you like a gentleman. Or maybe he just didn’t want to turn his back to you. You stood next to him as he hunched over his desktop, adjusting his glasses. Your arms were almost touching, and you had to convince yourself not to reach out. He looked soft. But you didn’t want to be rude.

You forced your eyes back to the screen and squinted. Empty room, empty room, BOOP, there you were! Winston’s head reeled back, and he instantly rewound the tape, watching again as you popped up on the screen out of thin air. After three more viewings, the massive scientist looked down at you, bewildered.

“You, you just . . . appeared! Out of nowhere! I don’t – I don’t understand!” Winston scratched his head and gaped at you.

“Told ya,” you say laughing awkwardly. “Sorry I can’t tell you what happened. I swear I was just going about my business then I was plopped into your lab.”

“I . . . believe you,” he said with a huff. “You’re looking just as confused as I am.”

You snort and nod furiously. “I am 100% lost, that much I can tell you.”

Winston chuckles and rubs the bridge of his nose. “Maybe someone else can explain this to me.” He reached for his communicator, still frowning at the video. “Team, I’m going to need everyone to come into my lab, now, please. Yes, Torbjorn, that includes you.” He rolled his eyes, and you giggled.

“Someone being cantankerous,” you asked jokingly.

“As always,” Winston sighed. “Anthea, bring up this video on the large monitor downstairs, will you? I’m sure everyone else will need to see it to believe it, too.”

“Done. And Winston, there is something you should know,” the synthetic voice said.

“What is it,” he asked tentatively.

“I have scanned the young woman in the lab with you, I cannot find any records on her.”

“Any,” Winston questioned.

“None. Her face has not come up on any of the international identification databases.”

“How is that possible,” the scientist whispered.

“Well,” you began, but were cut off by a flash of blue light darting into the room.

“What’s the problem, big guy,” Tracer said, standing at the ready. Her face contorted as she saw you. “I didn’t know we were expecting guests . . .”

“Neither did I,” Winston responded. “I’ll explain once everyone is here.”

“Uh-huh,” the Brit said skeptically, eyeing you with arms crossed. She’d seemed so friendly in-game.

Mercy was next to arrive, Lucio by her side. Then came Genji, Zenyatta, and McCree – his belt buckle glinting almost obscenely. It was fantastic. D. Va and Mei were next with Hanzo close behind. The archer was staring you down intensely, and you couldn’t deny the shiver of fear that ran up your back, but god damn his chiseled face was so handsome you didn’t care. Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and Bastion rounded out the group. They all sat on the steps of the lower lab, and you looked at them with giddy anticipation. And a lot of nerves. Winston described the absurd situation, and everyone watched as the giant screen on the wall played the video of you zapping into their world ten times over. They were all stunned. Reinhardt’s face was the best, all contorted and thrilled.

“What a sight,” the knight boomed. “I have seen a lot in my 61 years, but that is downright strange! Are you sure you’re not pulling our leg here, Winston? This seems too insane to be real!”

“I’m not buying it,” Torbjorn grunted.

“It’s right there on the tele,” McCree defended you. You almost swooned. “And look at the little lady. Looks baffled as can be.”

“I am not trying to trick any of you,” Winston assured them as they all began to murmur. “Unfortunately, it appears none of you have any idea what could be happening either.”

“It kinda reminds me of when I was floating in and out of the present,” Tracer spoke up, a grave look sprawled across her features.

“That almost, sorta makes sense,” you say thoughtfully.”

“She speaks,” Genji said gently, thankfully not sounding judgmental. “I would be interested to hear you elaborate.” Ugh, he was so nice. You bit your lip to keep from grinning and cleared your throat.

“So,” you began, “I should probably mention that I don’t think I’m from the same year you guys are.”

“What now,” D. Va said confused.

“I was in the year 2017 ten minutes ago, but I don’t think I am now,” you explain.

“No way,” Lucio gasped, “you’re from the year of the Stranger Things?”

“Well,” you say as your brows furrow, “the second season came out in 2017, but it takes place in the 80s.”

Lucio thought for a moment before saying, “Oh yeah! It did start in 2016. That’s so cool! You got the experience the whole ‘Strange Fever’ as it happened!”

You smirk, “My ‘Barb Deserved Better’ sweatshirt got here just the other day.”

The DJ’s mouth dropped open, and his eyes sparkled. “Oh my god I need one,” he squealed.

“Amazing,” Mei said smiling from ear to ear. It almost sounded like ‘ah-mei-zing’ and you were dying inside. She was too adorable.

“How did you know you had arrived in a different year,” Hanzo said sternly, tearing apart the light mood.

You squirm and try to stall. “Uh, you know, this place just has a much . . . different style than what I’m used to. And the tech is super fancy.”

Hanzo’s stance adjusted and his fists clenched. “You are hiding something.”

“Easy there, Hanzo,” Mercy said calmly, “this must be very overwhelming for her. We should let her speak on her own terms.” Hanzo glared at her and Genji rolled his head, annoyed.

“He’s not wrong,” you say softly. Everyone turns back to you, and your shoulders curl in. “The thing is, I know who all of you are, I know about this base, I know about your fight and the recall.”

“Even though we are from your future,” Zenyatta asked, tilting his head. His voice was even more calming in person.

“Yes,” you clarify, “because where I’m from, you guys are just a . . . story.”

“Story?” Winston is still closest to you, and his looming figure seems a little intimidating now. How do you tell someone they’re not real? Or that they may not be real? Or . . . well, shit. You didn’t know what any of this meant, but you had little choice but to run with it.

“To be specific, a game. A videogame,” you continue.

And they were off, asking a million questions – really? A game? What kind of game? Who played it? Who made it? Why did anyone want to play through their harrowing struggles? You went through all the basics with them until their curiosities seemed to be coming to an end, but then Lucio was smirking at D. Va who was looking deviously back at him.

“So,” Lucio wavered, “we’re pretty popular, right?”

“Yeah,” you say worriedly.

“Meaning we got a lot of fans right,” D. Va said leadingly.

“Uh-huh.” You didn’t like where this was going.

“That means we got wild internet fans too, right?” The DJ was way too excited.

“Yes,” you laugh. “You all have loads of fans on the internet. There’s a ton of fanart, cosplayers, all that stuff.”

Half the group looks concerned, half look intrigued. Much to your surprise, Torb looks interested.

“People draw pictures of us,” the short engineer said leaning in. Everyone gave him a shocked look. “I just wanna make sure they’re givin’ my baby proper credit!”

“People love you and your turret,” you promise him, “more than anything, they love the two of you together.”

D. Va was suddenly bouncing up and down excitedly, babbling in her native language. “Wait, wait, wait,” she squeaked, “I already get fan art, and I love it, but do I get fancy Overwatch fan art? Like of me in my Overwatch uniform?”

You think a moment. “I haven’t seen you with an official Overwatch skin, yet, but I’ve seen lots of other versions of you.”

“Skin,” Winston asks.

“Like costumes,” you clarify. “When you play the game, you can dress up in different ways to kinda express yourself or celebrate a holiday.”

“Tell me everything,” D. Va wails, enthralled.

“That’s a lot to tell,” you laugh, “but I gotta say my favorite skin of your is the B. Va one. You and your mech are decked out in yellow and black with extra bug-like antennae and stuff. It’s pretty great.”

“How cute,” Mei giggles.

“You have a beekeeper one, Mei, but I’m partial to your firefighter skin,” you say. The brunette ‘oooh’s as she pictures it.

“This is ridiculous,” Hanzo huffs. You purse your lips at him.

“Suddenly ‘Demon Hanzo’ seems especially apt,” you snark. Genji bursts out laughing.

“Hold on,” D. Va yells again, slamming her hands together. “Are there ships?” You go bright red. “There are! OH MY GOD YES,” she yelps.

“What is a ‘ship,’” Mercy frowns.

“It’s a term for couples that fans hope will get together,” Reinhardt explains through his loud laughter. “They are relationships you want to see come to fruition.”

“How do you know about this,” McCree chuckles.

Reinhardt shrugs, “What can I say, I loved the ‘Zena Warrior Princess’ reboot. I have no shame!”

“There’s a Zena reboot,” you repeat excitedly.

“There is, and it is beautiful,” the aging man grins.

“Who cares about Zena,” D. Va butts in, “tell us about our ships!”

You rub the back of your neck, unsure. “I get the feeling some of you may not like what I have to say.”

“I gotta hear this,” Torb snorts. “The web is a dark, twisted place and I wanna know how they’ve paired all you up!” He frowns a moment before looking to you. “I’m not included, am I? I’m a married man, after all.”

“Uh, no,” you say scrolling through Tumblr in your mind, “I haven’t seen you in any ships that I can think of.”

“Then spill,” the engineer demands with a grin.

“Oh alright,” you say as everyone watches you. Some look worried, but no one else is objecting or leaving. You decide not to bring up Gabe or anyone else in Talon for now, in an effort to keep things light. Ish.“One of the earliest ships was Mercy and Genji, and that one still has a lot of support.” The cyborg and healer exchange a glance and Mercy’s cheeks go red. Her little smile is so sweet. “But,” you continue almost regretfully, “a lot of people also want Mercy and Pharah to get together.”

“Ana’s daughter,” Mercy says stunned. You nod. The blonde’s gaze turns to the window. She doesn’t seem turned off by the idea. At all.

“Who else,” Lucio prompts you.

“Well, a lot of people like you and Hana together.”

D. Va smirks and smacks his arm. “You wish,” the Korean woman laughs.

“But I could serenade you,” Lucio teases back, “with original songs, too!”

“That does sound nice,” she says nodding, “but I’m kinda married to my mech for now.”

“That’s some tough competition,” Lucio laughs. “Who else is paired up?”

“Uh,” you say looking everyone over. “Lots of people are happy with Lena and Emily since we’re still struggling with prejudice in my time,” you say.

“Aw, I’m glad me and my girl can help,” Tracer beams.

“Um, I don’t Winston has been set up with anyone,” you continue.

“Thank goodness,” the scientist sighed, clearly taken aback by all this.

“Reinhardt and Ana are a definite thing.” The knight gives you a surprised look that turns into a fond smile. Looks like he misses her.

“I haven’t seen much about Bastion, but everyone loves his friendship with Ganymede.” The omnic beeps happily as the bird chirps on his shoulder. Holy shit its endearing.

“Not gonna lie to ya,” you say as your eyes grace over the other omnic with his floating orbs, “I’ve never seen Zenyatta with anyone other than Genji.”

The mentor and student turn to one another. “He is my student,” Zenyatta says, “and I will always be there for him, but I have no romantic feelings toward him.”

“Likewise, master,” Genji nods. “I suppose that only leaves my brother and McCree, then,” the cyborg says, and you have to stifle a laugh.

“No,” D. Va gapes, dragging out the word dramatically. “No freaking way!”

All eyes drag to Hanzo and McCree as you clamp your hand over your mouth and dissolve into giggles. Hanzo is looking at the cowboy with terror on his face and McCree is looking at the archer with a fiendish grin.

“That,” Hanzo sputters, “is the most ludicrous thing you have said yet!” His face is so red you can hardly believe it. The flush of his skin reaches up into his ears in the most delightful way.

“Oh come one now, darlin,’” McCree says opening his arms wide, “ya can’t tell me you’ve never thought about it.”

“I – ” Hanzo says as he begins to shake, but he clamps his mouth shut and turns away as Genji lets out a bought of laughter so strong he’s buckling over his cybernetic knees. Everyone else joins in too, you included. The archer’s reaction is priceless!

“Really,” Torbjorn says once he’s caught his breath, “the internet wants these two together?”

“Yup,” you say wiping a tear from your eye. “They’re the most popular ship, in fact!”

“Most popular,” Lucio blurts. He’s laying on the floor, still holding his sides.

“There is so much McHanzo shit out there guys, you have no idea,” you giggle.

“McHanzo,” Reinhardt coughs out, still howling. “They have a name!”

“A damn fine name, too,” McCree says winking at Hanzo, who only brings the archer’s his shoulders closer to his head in response. Could the eldest Shimada possibly get any redder? “Hon,” Jesse continues, starting to walk toward Hanzo, “looks like the people have spoken – we’re meant to be!”

“Her people,” Hanzo seethes. “Any reasonable person could see we are completely incompatible!”

“But sweetheart,” McCree chuckles, “what if this lovely little girl is our own personal cupid! A sweet cherub come to put us on the path of true love.” Hanzo scoffed and took a step back from McCree’s advances, but the cowboy didn’t relent. Instead, the man put both hands on his belt and wiggles his eyebrows saying, “Better buckle up, buttercup! I don’t wanna disappoint the fans.”

Hanzo’s eyes steal a look at McCree’s crotch before he spits out a garbled jumble of syllables and sprints from the room. The rest of Overwatch is still watching and whooping in amusement. Genji is literally crouched on the floor gasping for breath.

“Holy shit,” the cyborg rasps out, “I have never seen my brother so frazzled! That was a thing of beauty!”

“Well if he keeps running around with his toned little tit out someone’s going to jump on it,” McCree says adjusting his hat, “I’m just tryin’ to prepare him for the inevitable.”

All of these people were even more wonderful that you had ever dreamed of. You didn’t understand how you had been brought to Gibraltar, or why, but since you were here, you may as well enjoy yourself. You loved this team! If you could be a part of it for a while, you were going to try not to overthink things too much.

…okay, I put that equation into Wolfram Alpha, but the graphs it shows you by default are extraordinarily hard to read, and you can’t get any further detail without signing up for a Pro (i.e. paid) account, soooooo…. I’m just gonna answer all of them! Hope that’s okay! ^^;;;

1. First console you’ve ever owned?‘Twas the original NES. I was so happy when my parents bought it (although tbh my dad bought it as much for himself as for me). I spent so many hours playing the SMB games… ahh, good times.

3. Favorite childhood game?Hmmm, probably Super Mario Bros. 3. That was the one I spent the longest playing, anyway. My mom even went to the trouble to borrow the strategy guide from the library, photocopy the whole thing, and bind it together into a book for me. My mom was the best. ;_;

4. Longest consecutive hours you’ve played a game?Whew, uhhh, not as long as some people, I’m sure. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than 8 hours straight playing games. I’m certainly no match for the likes of Neptune and Vert, that’s for sure. ^^;;;

5. Game with the best soundtrack?I actually really really like the soundtrack from the first Hyperdimension Neptunia game. A lot of those songs just get stuck in my head, y'know? Especially Nepgear’s theme. :3

6. An underrated game from within the last few years?Hmm, gonna go with Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed. It apparently only got a 64/100 on Metacritic, which is WAY too low for how fun this game is.

7. Most disappointing game you’ve played?Honestly? Most of the Jak and Daxter series. I really really wanted to like those games, but I just… couldn’t. There was just something about them that really turned me off. I enjoy other, similar games, so I don’t know what it was. I got all of them for super cheap (like probably $5 each) so it’s not like I spent a bunch of money on them, but I still felt ripped off, y'know?

8. The game with the best atmosphere/scenery?The Metroid Prime games, for me, had some of the best settings. Nicely-rendered and completely appropriate for the feel of the game. If you’ve never played any of the MP games, please do so. If you can play the Wii controls versions, so much the better (it’s playable with the Gamecube controller but once you use the Wiimote to aim Samus’s gun you’ll never go back).

10. Prefer PC or console?Based solely on the number of games amassed, PC wins out, but I honestly don’t prefer one over the other.

11. Have you written any fanfic or made any fanart?…not of video games, no.

12. Most bizarre game you’ve ever played?It’s pretty tame, but probablyyyyyy…. Goat Simulator. Like, what the fuck even is this game.

13. Scariest game you’ve played?Well, I haven’t actually played it yet, but the scariest game I currently own is probably Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion.

14. Do you watch playthroughs online?Not really, no.

15. Favorite animal in a video game?This is kind of an odd question… I’m gonna have to go with Gex the gecko, particularly from the second game. I loved that game so much.

16. The best year in gaming you’ve experienced?Literally every year seems better than the last, so I can’t really answer this question. This year has been pretty amazing so far, but then, I’ve said that about every other year past, so… ^^;;;

17. Have a video game themed background or lockscreen?LOL of course I do! My desktop wallpaper is Neptune and Nepgear, and my phone’s lock screen and home screen are both pics of Purple Heart.

18. Worst game you’ve played?Ooh, interesting question. I don’t really know if I can answer this properly? One of the games that stands out to me is called Sparkle 2 Evo. The graphics were nice but the controls were awful and it was nearly unplayable. The devs might have patched it since, but I kinda lost interest in it so I don’t really care at this point.

19. Hardest game you’ve ever played?The hardest game I’ve seriously played is probably VVVVVV. Fuck that game. >:(

20. Favorite publisher and/or developer?If I don’t say Idea Factory (and/or Compile Heart) I’ll feel like I’m betraying my beloved Neptune, so I’ll go with them.

21. If you had to play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be?I don’t know if this really counts as a video game, but I’m gonna have to say Mamono Sweeper.

22. If you could turn one game into movie, which would it be?The first game that sprang to mind was Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It was such a cool game, I’d love to see a cinematic version of it (also can you IMAGINE Samus on the big screen? EEEEEEEEEEEEEE).

24. Ever cried because of a video game? Which one(s)?Oh, probably! I know SMB3 made me cry when I was little because there was one level I just couldn’t beat no matter how many times I tried it. I forget which level it was now, lol.

25. Proudest accomplishment in gaming?Hmmm, probably the time I finally actually beat Indalecio in Star Ocean 2, when you do the event where his power limiter is removed and he basically becomes a god. Fuck me sideways, that was an insane fight.

26. How often do you play online? Co-op?Almost never! The last game I played co-op was MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune Vs. Zombies (I played with @aboutthreeneps), but I really don’t do online gaming much.

27. Have you gotten any friends into gaming?Maybe? Most people I’m friends with are either already into gaming, or else they’re not interested, so…. probably not.

28. Who got YOU into gaming?Hmm, I guess it was my dad. I watched him play a bunch of games when I was a small child and was like “THAT LOOKS SO COOL I WANNA DO IT TOO”.

29. Watch cutscenes or skip them?I usually watch them, unless it’s one I’ve seen a bunch of times (or one you can’t skip… damn unskippable cutscenes).

30. On average, how long does it take you in the character creation screen?…quite a while. It depends on the game, I guess. When I made a new character in Stardew Valley today, I spent between 5-10 minutes, but when I was creating a character in Saints Row IV, I probably spent close to an hour tweaking every little variable to get it just right.

32. Do you cosplay?Not really, although I did cosplay as Squall from Final Fantasy 8 one time. I still have the gunblade sitting around somewhere.

33. Favorite female npc?34. Favorite male npc?These two questions are really hard for me to answer! Mostly because I find games fall into either one of two categories: ones where the NPCs are faceless and forgettable, and ones where the NPCs are extremely well-done and I love all of them.

35. Best protagonist?Neptune, duh.

36. Best antagonist?I like GLaDOS from Portal.

37. Ever been made fun of for playing video games?Hmm, I don’t think so.

38. Have you tried a game, hated it, then tried again, and loved it?Again, I don’t think so? There’s been plenty of games where I’ve been like “meh” at first and then “OMG THIS GAME IS AWESOME” later, but I don’t think there’s any I really hated that I went back and liked later.

39. Do you play for achievements/trophies?Not explicitly, or at least, not at first. I tend to play through the story of a game first, and then on my second playthrough I’ll try to get most of the achievements.

40. Favorite voice actor?A new favourite, but a favourite nonetheless: Megan Hollingshead.

41. Gone to a midnight release before?Nope! Any of the games I’ve been excited for either never had this sort of event, or else they did but I just got on the bandwagon too late. I’m incredibly behind the times when it comes to keeping up with this sort of thing. T_T

42. A game you will never forget (in a bad OR good way)?Star Ocean 2. That game will stay with me forever. In a good way. :3

43. Favorite sidekick or companion?Ooh, good one! I really liked Eryn from Fairy Fencer F. She’s such a sweetie, and Fang treats her like garbage for most of the game, so I think I was especially drawn to her because he wasn’t.

44. Do graphics matter?They have to be done well, and the style has to fit with the overall style of the game. Other than that, I don’t care. A game isn’t instantly better by having more realistic graphics or whatever, I don’t care.

45. Do you like funny or more serious games?I tend to like more funny games, overall.

46. Always, sometimes, or never use subtitles?Sometimes. It really depends on the game.

47. First person or Third person?Both??? How is this even a question lmao

48. A game you’ve always wanted to play but have never gotten to it?Bastion. I watched a friend play some of it and it looked super cool, and I own it, I’ve just never played it for some reason.

49. A game you haven’t played in forever, but want to replay?Hmm, I kind of want to play Cave Story again. I love that game

50. How many games to do you own?I currently have 186 games in my Steam inventory, and counting the various consoles I own it’s probably at least 250.

51. First character you’ve had a crush on?I can’t really think of any right now! I did kind of have a crush on Princess Toadstool in Super Mario RPG, I guess that’s the earliest character I can remember.

52. A game you will always stand behind, and support no matter what?All of the Hyperdimension Neptunia games. I own all 4 of the main series games (Re;Birth 1-3 and VII) and 4 of the spinoff games (Nep U, Hyperdevotion Noire, MegaTagmension, and PP), and I’ve bought more Neptunia merchandise than I have for any other game series.

53. Your most immersive game?Most of the Pokemon games, for me, have been pretty immersive. Like, I take it upon myself to learn everything about them, I keep written notes on lots of stuff, I actively plan out my strategies in advance, etc.

54. A sequel you really want?Hmm, can’t think of too many. Most of my favourite games are series anyway, so they already have sequels. :P

55. How much time, on average, do you play in a week?Hard to say, some weeks I barely play at all, some weeks that’s all I do. I’d say on average, like taking the arithmetic mean, it’d be around an hour a day.

56. Do you tell people irl that you play video games?Oh, for sure. There’s not really a stigma around it anymore since everyone plays video games these days (the whole notion of “gamers are over” and all that).

57. What is an overrated game you’ve played?Basically every MMO I’ve ever played. I just don’t get the appeal.

Ever have someone walk in on a sex scene between you and you LI?I’m going to assume that “LI” stands for “love interest,” like as in the love interest of the main character of a game, otherwise this question makes no sense (even as is it doesn’t make much sense). No, this has never happened. I can’t recall any games I’ve ever played that have had explicit sex scenes. Other than, like… HuniePop or something, but even that’s not really explicit, it’s mostly just moaning. (Unless they released some super-X-rated update or something, I haven’t touched that game in a loooooooong time.)

66. Game with the yummiest looking food?Uhhhh…. hmmm. I mean, Portal had that delicious-looking cake. Stardew Valley has some decent food too.

67. Most violent game you’ve played?Honestly, probably One Finger Death Punch. Being that the entire point of the game is slaughtering hundreds of enemies with either your fists or whatever weapons you happen to find lying around. I mean, it’s all stickmen, but still.

68. An older game that you’ve just recently gotten into?I honestly can’t think of any! The oldest game I’ve gotten into *recently* is the aforementioned Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, but that came out in 2014, so I don’t know if it’s old enough for the purposes of this response.

69. Your first LI?…not quite sure what this means. Love interest? Like, first character from a game I fell in love with? First game I played where the main character had a love interest? I honestly don’t know how to answer this one.

70. Do you play any mobile games?A few. Not counting portable consoles (i.e. the 3DS or PS Vita), I have a handful of games on my phone (Sailor Moon Drops, Monument Valley, Mushihimesama, I even have Carmageddon on my phone (yes, they released an iOS port of that game somehow)).

71. A game you can’t stop talking/thinking about at the moment?Well I did just pick up Stardew Valley again, so I’m probably gonna be thinking about that for a while. Same with that Neptunia idol game, I just started playing that and it’s super fun.

72. Have any guilty pleasure games?Of course not, why do you ask?

73. A game with the best fandom?Overall, my experience has been that Neptunia fans are all pretty awesome. :D

74. Which game has the best lore?I actually love the lore from the Metroid series. The whole history with Samus and the Chozo is so interesting to me.

75. Do you focus on main storyline/quest or do sidequests first?I do both! I’ll play the main storyline until either (1) I need to grind more because the enemies/bosses are getting stronger, (2) I need to get better equipment and need either materials for crafting, or money for buying stuff, or (3) the main story is in a lull and I get an interesting side quest. Usually once I go off on a sidequest tangent, I don’t come back for a good long while (to the point where I’ll stop playing the game for a while and then when I come back to it I’m like “ok wtf was I supposed to be doing? I don’t remember, maybe I’ll just start over again lol”).

Thoughts since I've started playing overwatch

Ik I usually do these with anime but I need to get a string of feelings out because about three weeks ago I finally bought overwatch and I'm learning about not only the gameplay but the "background" stuff as well and w o w - I have an unhealthy obsession with playing to receive loot boxes - probably never joining these voice channels sorry I am a bundle of awkward - actually let me just apologize in advance for everything because I'm going suck terribly - oh look that person is like 50 levels above me I can't wait to get crushed - good to know that nobody cares about team comps but the expect to win a lot hmmm - no that doesn't mean I'm healing -ok fine I'm healing -I don't think it's really helpful to request my aid and then run 20 miles away, nor is it helpful to charge into their entire team and expect me to keep you alive - please I know I have stormtrooper aim but just let try these dps heroes out shhhh I may or may not change after 5 deaths... - nobody saw me die in that 1v1 where they had 5 health the entire time ok there was something in my eye and it was serious -neither did anyone see me accidentally fall off the stage. - I may be losing consecutive games but at least that means xp for loot boxes - why do I always get the good stuff for heroes I never plan to play - I might have accidentally impulse bought 20 chests - check out all these sprays and icons that I didn't ask for but find cool anyway - all these characters are so vivid and great wow thank you - so many cutscenes - I'm not weak for crying at the bastion cutscene ok fuck you I got wallE vibes - tracer is so precious and I want to protect her but she'd probably protect me instead - why is hanzo so lowkey beautiful wtf - also is it just me or does genji have a nice butt - the way mcree talks really grows on you - soldier 76 gives me captain America vibes - all of the fanart and memes of this game are amazing and I'm so glad I can discover it and take part - also Idk what ships are canon or not but I subconsciously end up favoring all the gay ones - lucio x dva is really fucking cute too - is it ok to support the hanzo x mcree ship because they both have majestic hair or - reaper throwing his guns instead of reloading them is somehow iconic - everyone has a type of accent and I love it the cultural diversity is so interesting and fun - this game is pretty nice and maybe one day whenever I don't suck it'll be amazing
