i've currently got to season 11, and i've heard opinions about it after watching the first episode. is it okay if i ask about this here? or maybe there's already a good post talking about this or another blog?

my question is: thoughts on the porch/monogamy scene? to me, it seems like they would stay monogamous later on but i feel like (based off past seasons) they would want to be monogamous?

lordy boy howdy…… they really hit the ground running with the batshit insanity in s11 didn’t they? this is right off the bat! we last saw these fuckers get married and now - whoops, time to have a conversation we probably should have had a long time ago! 

now - i was actually pretty down for the idea that the season would be about them working through what marriage means to them. the execution, however, was….. flawed, to put it diplomatically. IT HAD GOOD BONES, THOUGH. SORT OF. THEY SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME.  anyways. 

idk if this is the consensus. the consensus, actually, is that s11 is fake asdkfh BUT here’s what i think:

I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANTED FROM ME. 

did mickey honestly misspell monogamy? 

did he write non-monogamy just bc he thought ian would?

did he write non-monogamy bc he wanted to fuck other people?

did he not write anything?

i know what i would think… but WHAT DID THE WRITERS WANT ME TO THINK? i don’t know and that’s a failing on their part! 

now……. i think that scene was a pretty big disservice to mickey. it makes him look like a fucking idiot, which we know he’s not! ian laid it out there, and it makes sense to me. they are working this out.

monogamy was not always so important to them. different characters place varying degrees of value in the idea throughout the series - including ian and mickey.

in some moments, it really matters to ian. in others, it means more to mickey. plus, monogamy doesn’t always mean the same thing to them! their own definitions of it change! by now, they are older, more secure, and committed. and here in this part in their relationship, i would imagine that they’d largely be on the same page. 

what that page is……. is not the same to everyone in the fandom. and that’s okay! 

many think that ian and mickey have spent enough time distracting themselves with other people. that they would not be able to share each other, or be willing to be with other people in any circumstance. that at this point, they would not indulge in this kind of thing. i get that, and that’s okay! 

others think that as long as communication is open, ian and mickey might be able to experiment within their own boundaries. that, especially as they grow in this phase of their relationship, they might, on occasion, explore something together. i get that, and that’s okay! 

or maybe they’re all out swingers askdjfh KIDDING GOD NO ONE COME FOR ME

personally, i can be swayed either way. much like with last night’s talk about Going Out, i think there is room for nuance here. i also think that anyone is welcome to their own interpretation. what’s important to me is that they TALK. that they EXPRESS their NEEDS and tell each other what they WANT. and come to A MUTAL UNDERSTANDING! they have……. so much sexual trauma between them. more than anything, i want to see them safely decide what’s best for them! 

isn’t that what we all want in the long run? 🥰

summary: the losers are having their annual out of school sleepover. they end up playing truth or dare, accidentally having the reader's true feelings for bill released :)

truth or dare

the losers sat in a circle, daring each other to do the stupidest things they could think of, and getting the juiciest of secrets spilled. you sat between mike and stan, laughing your asses off.

the game was all fun in games until richie dared eddie to do something that he wasn't fond of. the dare consisted of something like lick the toilet seat that sat in the bathroom next to bill's room.

"i'm not licking a fucking toilet seat rich!" eddie exclaimed.

"oh come on eds, all you have to do is put your tongue on it! you don't even have to lick it," richie urged.

"do you know what i could catch from that! i refuse to do it. choose something else."

richie rolled his eyes, "fine."

he looked around, his eyes meeting yours. he smirked, which worried you, and looked back at eddie.

"kiss y/n."

"what?" you, eddie, and bill all blurted out.

you looked over at bill and gave him a look. you quickly shook it off and looked back at richie.

"you heard me. kiss y/n," he said, "she's not that bad of a kisser. i know from experience," he winked at you, causing mike to laugh, you hitting his shoulder.

"b-beep beep, ri-richie," bill muttered.

"it was in 2nd grade richie. calm yourself," you laughed.

"anyway, stop being a pussy eds. kiss her already!"

eddie quickly glanced at bill and gave him an, "i'm sorry" look and made his way over to you, kneeling down in front of you.

he quickly pecked you on the lips, pulling away with a red face. the losers whooping and whistling in the background.

eddie quickly went back to his seat, in between ben and bill, whispering something in bill's ear.

"eddie, your turn," stan piped up.

"okay, umm, ben! i dare you to take a sip of the beer bev brought with her."

ben looked over at bev, who handed him the bottle, him taking a quick swig from it. he shook his head and made a face of disgust.

"how do people drink this stuff," he laughed, handing the bottle back to bev.

the game went on. richie decided someone had to end up licking the toilet seat, so he dared mike. mike sighing, but doing the dare anyway.

richie ended up having to yell out the window and proclaim his love for eddie. stan doing something like giving a mini fashion show, using blankets each loser brought from there own humble abodes.

bev had to tell the losers who she liked in each grade up till now, causing richie to laugh at her choice in men. beverly not hesitating to beat his ass.

the game was slowly coming to a stop as the group got tired. the person who had to ask the infamous question next was ben.

"y/n, truth or dare?"

"hmm... truth," you said, getting tired of picking dare almost every round.

"if you could date one person in the room, who would it be?"

"oh that's easy! it'd be richie," you stifle a laugh.

"WHAT?!" each loser shouts in disbelief.

"i'm kidding! it'd be bill...," you mutter quickly.

"who would it be?"

"BILL! IT WOULD BE BILL!" you shout, getting tired of the interrogation.

"yeah, get some bill!" bev laughed.

you looked at bill, his face just as red as yours. he smiled at you, you smiled back.

'maybe he does like you back?' you think to yourself.

"oka-"

"bill, truth or dare!" eddie asks.

"hey! it's my turn!"

"just trust him," stan whispers in your ear.

"u-uh.. dare?"

"i dare you to kiss your crush," eddie smiles widely.

you think he's going to turn to beverly, because you see them flirting from time to time, but bill stands up and walks over to you, planting a kiss on your lips.

you kiss back, in shock. your face turns a bright red color as he pulls away.

"tell her, bill!" richie encourages him.

bill shakes his head and chuckles, "i-i like you, y-y/n."

"lucky you, because it just so happens that i like you as well," you smile, the losers loosing their minds at your answer.

he smiles widely and pulls you in for another kiss, butterflies erupting in your stomach. once you two pull away, you lean closer to bill.

"you're a way better kisser than richie," you say quietly, giggles falling shortly after.

"I HEARD THAT!"

this was going to be one hell of a summer.

What is the most embarrassing thing I (Fun Ghoul, she/xe/they/it) have done?

oooooh ghoul swears they don't feel embarrassment over anything but my god is that a lie afksvkksvvkdk

xe has tries to forget their entire first day out the desert because. my god. it was rough. long story short, they attempted to rob kobra with what at they thought was their pocket knife but what turned out to be an old, shitty plastic pen. to be fair to them, they were very dehydrated and in a hell of a state. but nonetheless, kobra and jet (who was witness at the time) will not let her live it down

once accidentally burnt off half their clothes setting off a bomb. that's pretty self-explanatory. physically?? xe was fine. emotionally??? oh my god, absolutely top three worst moments of their life (second only to that time they that time they managed to get actual bread for a sandwich before immediately dropping it into the sand on accident. let's just say it truly was a sandwich. still ate it though)

it knows the others won't judge it for it, but it's always nervous to seek out the rest of the crew when it has a nightmare. even though they're very common for xem, xe still stresses out about seeming weak or not good enough for xyr crew

not exactly embarrassing but they once got drunk of their ass at hyper thrust and well.. they're not allowed at hyper thrust anymore. definitely nothing to do with the massive crater that is now out in the middle of the property behind the main building. definitely wasn't an outdoor stage there once no... (/s) it does feel a little bad about that but hey, at least it was fun!!

xe has called multiple of the crew various nicknames that xe used for xyr sibling. it's definitely embarrassing, but also a little painful to remember. her crew has very quickly learned to not make fun of these slip ups

once somehow managed to misspell jet star's name on a piece of metalwork jewelry that it made for them. jet wears that bracelet proudly to this day, much to ghoul's embarrassment (xe doesn't realize jet doesn't do it out of pity or teasing but out of genuine pride and love for their friend)

still feels embarrassed info dumping or talking for long periods of time because they worry they're being Too Much. she was never rly allowed to talk much in the city and still has a lot to unlearn about everything engrained in her head from those days

Idk, but what abiut underswap papyrus w/ an s/o that has dyslexia. They like try their hardest but they still struggle, and their sensitive about it. Pointing it out makes them low key sad, but they pretend their fine. (Mostly bc they get misunderstood over text alot)

Aw, hey, that’s like…an actual thing, it’s not like they’re doing it on purpose…

Paps (Underswap Papyrus) is surprisingly understanding in light of that fact, especially if he knows his s/o is sensitive about it– and he himself has pretty good reading comprehension so even if stuff is misspelled in their texts a lot, he can usually still get the gist of it and figure out what they mean.

For the times that he can’t…or the times they might get upset because somebody else may have said something… he may try to gently suggest a speech-to-text function for them.

If they don’t already have a device capable of it, he’s close with Undyne, she can upgrade it for ‘em easy. And… on the rare occasions the function mishears and messes stuff up, or when they absolutely have to type their texts out and make mistakes, Paps will point out that they’ve got a real convenient scapegoat now if they don’t want other people to know they have trouble sometimes.

“Oh, whoops, typo, my hands were full and I was dictating, I don’t know how it didn’t catch that!”

If they also have trouble with reading, he doesn’t mind lending a hand if they’d like him to. Reading prose or poetry to his s/o is like…peak romance in his mind anyway, and he’d probably want to do that for them whether they were dyslexic or not, but if they’re struggling to read something more mundane, like an email or a form he can read that out too if it doesn’t embarrass them. If it does, he’ll sit back and let them work it out at their own pace, no judgment attached.

He’s a pretty patient, compassionate guy and if he knows anything at all, it’s that their dyslexia is hardly their fault. He’ll support them however he can!

To me, what really pisses me off is how Shamier was treated this season. Like you said he may have had other projects but you can work around it and not just have him appearing just to be in episodes but you can actually give him a storyline. And the thing is, they need him so fucking much, he saves the day almost every single time. Then he just disappears because he doesn't get any recognition for all that he does for everyone. There were so many opportunities missed. It's Problematic as fuck

What I really hate about this whole situation is how hardly anyone is calling them out on their shit. Like shit how do people expect us to feel watching this show as POC's when the POC's on this show are treated like shit. Idc if they add another cast member and they're POC, it won't take away from the fact that one of them is a lead and constantly sidelined, one is now a villain and was treated like shit and one is only there for comedic timing and to give googley eyes at doc.

“one of them is a lead + constantly sidelined, one is now a villian + was treated like shit, & one is only there for comedic timing + to give googly eyes at doc” you........just hit it right on the fucking head there. im so pissed. dolls was treated like an actual nuanced main character, then he wasn’t. rosita was given an AMAZING story by having her be a revenant yet be kind and just tryna live her life, then they decided to somehow pull off the double trope of “poc sacrifices themself for white friends” + “poc is the villain”, like what kind of racist two birds w one stone kinda bullshit.......and then ya, jeremy. he’s never really been anything but comedic relief apart from the few hints that he’s got an interesting past + him saying that he never left purgatory bc he doesn’t fit in there but no one asked him to fit in anyway . 

What hurts even more is how all three POC characters have been used to prop up the white male character. Dolls has just been sidelined the whole season and am I supposed to believe that wynonna didn't give two shits about him in the finale when this is the same woman who fought so hard to save him in 2x01. Rosita was treated like shit from doc. And then Jeremy treats him like he can fucking walk on water. I didn't mind him but this and his fans have made me hate doc with a passion now.

it really feels like there’s a divide in the writers’ room between who likes wyndolls(+dolls) and who likes wyndoc(+doc) bc its just.......one or the other whenever either make an appearance. like i feel like when an episode is written by a person who prefers wyndoc, dolls barely makes an appearance or is mentioned maybe once, and vice versa lmao. i really wish they would make up their minds instead of having one wyndolls episode, then a wyndoc episode, then a wyndolls episode, ad infinitum. plus ya this season had way too much doc praise from everyone imo.................whoops

I know you don't hate doc but what makes me even more mad about him, is that he constantly makes mistakes and treated people like shit. Like how tf does he get away with this constantly??? Yet whenever Dolls makes a mistake it's the end of the world and he needs a talking to. I really don't know if I can carry on watching this I want them to pick a ship and just stick with it (hopefully wyndolls) because the whole triangle is convoluted as fuck and it's making me dislike the show.

i think doc has truly grown from who he was back before the well happened, but he still is an asshole and can be a shitty person (esp re: rosita lmao). i think he’s a flawed man and that’s... acceptable, but what i don’t find acceptable is that, like u said, he’s never called out on it. in order to deserve all the praise he got from every character this season, he really should have apologized to ppl abt things he’s said and done.

I just wanna say thanks, it feels good to be able to rant like this, so many people treat this show likes it's perfect when it's extremely problematic at times. I'm fucking praying, like down on my knees praying that they don't carry on this romantic wynd*c bullshit in S3 and this love triangle because wyndolls is far superior and shit I think everyone knows it. I think a lot of the fandom is a lot more receptive to their relationship because it's so beautiful compared to that mess.

Coming from a hardcore wyndolls shipper this shit has really hit me hard. Trust me I know they're a fictional character and it's just a show but I've been through so many times of my fav characters (who happen to be POC) either getting sidelined or killed off and I'm not sure if I can deal with it anymore. And the person who I'm really upset for is shamier. Because shit man he deserves so much better. This has actually made me lose so much trust in the writers and I have no hope left for S3.

I was just reading all your asks on the finale and I remembered wynonna telling doc that she never would've kissed dolls if she knew doc was back and I'm just like... what! That whole sentence just contradicts one of the main themes and relationships of S1. Listen I loved the moments that we got of wyndolls in S2 but this forced wynd*c relationship has me feeling so disappointed in the show. when S3 is back on I'm just gonna wait to see how dolls/wyndolls is treated before watching. I cba

no really that so came out of left field bc like???? wynonna + dolls were being built up the entire first season, it was all leading to dolls admitting his feelings and them kissing. (remember when wyn dared dolls to admit that he cares for her?? and he couldn’t? so she called him a pussy and walked away???? then he finally did admit that he needs her in the finale? im crying) wynonna + doc was just them learning to trust each other and fucking in the forest that one time, there was nothing OVERTLY romantic abt their relationship compared to wyndolls. 

I just don't get how they expect me to believe that forced ass relationship. She literally looks at dolls like he's her whole world, and when he came back she looked so relieved and happy again. I hate love triangles in shows and this season especially has made me intensely dislike doc, especially after 2x03 with that whole "I ain't doing it for him" comment. And his treatment of Rosita and his actions during 2x06. I cannot deal with this shit and I really don't trust them anymore, not at all
