Matt kicked his feet, lagging behind the rest of the school group even as his teacher eyed him warily. He did not want to be on this damn trip. The science museum was stupid and he hated all his classmates. He hated school. Everyone was some kind of asshole. The only reason he stuck it out at all was to get at least enough qualifications to get a reasonable job once he finally was free. He was pretty sure he was a psychopath, but he wasn’t fucking stupid.

He was considering just going outside and smoking whilst the rest of his class finished their fact sheets, but then something caught his eye. They were moving into the forensics section at the exact same time as another group, a different school. And lagging behind the end of their group was an awkward, shifty looking kid. Who was possible the most beautiful boy he’d ever seen. Matt couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to shove his cock down the kid’s throat.

As their two groups began to align, filing into the forensic galleries, Matt made sure to fall into step beside the boy. He seemed about Matt’s age, even cuter up close, and when he looked curiously over at Matt - there was a spark of something raw and animalistic there that Matt was instantly drawn to.

“I’m Matt.” He said, looking ahead at the exhibit cases.

“Randall.” The other kid answered and then stopped. He was looking at one of the displays as the kids all split off to continue with their fact sheets. Matt stayed at Randall’s side, studying him as he studied the display.

“You find this interesting?” Matt asked, curtailing the hint of mockery in his voice. Such an inbuilt reaction to scoff at his peers, but that was definitely not his intention with the intriguing Randall.

“Serial killers?” Randall shrugged. “A little. I’m more interested in animals… I like… they are relatable. Some people say it’s weird. My shrink says it’s fine to be weird.” He gave another small shrug.

Matt chuckled at that, before licking his lips and looking the kid up and down.

“Me? I find it fascinating. Always fun to see the ones that got away with it. But,” he looked around at their mingling groups - kids filling in their stupid schoolwork. “You want to get out of here? Have a smoke, or...” He placed his hand at the small of Randall’s back for a brief moment.

Randall looked a little surprised and turned to look at Matt fully, look him up and down even. Then he frowned and shook his head. “No thanks.”

Matt couldn’t help but break into a grin. “Well, maybe you don’t mind if I tag along with you a bit? You seem more interesting than any of my classmates.”

Randall cocked a brow and then gave a slight nod before looking back at the display.

“It says here they think this may be the earliest example of murder in history.” Randall spoke his words towards the display about the remains found in a prehistoric cave. There was something in his tone that resonated with Matt, and his heart raced.

“Fascinating.” Matt replied. Meaning it as he stepped closer, leaving no room between him and his new friend. Yes, Matt was happily going to follow this boy for the rest of the day. And longer.

Living Like a Freak

Summary:  Matthew and Randall have a nice relaxing day planned, but unexpected guests arrive to add a touch of excitement in their lives.

“Could you stop fidgeting for two seconds? I’m trying to concentrate.”

“Sorry, sorry.”

Matthew took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, making his muscles relax even with Randall kneeling across his lower back, wielding a scalpel and grinning.

“Any requests?”

“You put anything remotely close to your name and I’ll skin you,” Matthew said with his tone far too languid to pose any threat.

Randall chuckled and gave his ass a pat, running his hands covered in cool latex, over Matthew’s sensitive skin. “One portrait of Bugs Bunny, coming up.”

Matthew yelped and glared back at his mate, the joke echoing across their bond and making both of them smile. He still had trouble believing the love that burned like fire when Randall looked at him but moments like this brought it to an inferno.

“Relax babe. I’ve got you.” Randall brushed the scalpel down his back, the touch of metal cool in the heat of the evening and Matthew moaned into the pillow under his head.

The first cut stung, but Matthew kept still and soon a warm buzz settled into his skin and the constant stroke of Randall’s hands along his sides told him he was safe, protected. The pain bloomed and faded with each pass of the scalpel until his whole body radiated a pleasant haze. The pulse of love and care from their bond cemented Matthew’s pleasure and he groaned as the blade worked lower.

“Almost done,” Randall said, his voice soft and dreamlike.

Matthew could barely move, caught in a bubble of sensation, a space where he felt protected and safe, even with blood dripping down his back to gather on the plastic sheet underneath him.

The knife strokes stopped and Randall placed soothing kisses to the undamaged sections of his skin. Matthew sent a flood of happiness through their bond and a growl echoed in response.

i randomly came across Freaks of Nature by Kateera and it’s literally what i base all my headcanons about them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series because it perfectly captures Randall’s inner beast voice. if you’ve ever read berserk, Guts’ beast of darkness is very similar to the way Randall’s beast side wants to take over.

Randall is very stoic on the outside but his beast side desperately wants to come out and fight/fuck. then we have Matthew who is smug and highly intelligent, he understands Randall’s split personality and loves both sides of him. when Randall becomes the beast he fucks Matthew hard and raw but when he’s himself, he wants to be taken care of as a submissive bottom.

they both have the desire to kill but for very different reasons — for Randall it’s a way to satiate the beast and for Matthew it’s recreational.

Beasthawk headcanons:

Randall is from a wealthy socialite family in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of five, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. He always did very well academically in the elite private schools his parents paid for, and went on to doubled majored in engineering and paleontology at John Hopkins University. Randall’s parents sent him to be treated by Hannibal Lecter when he was 16 for his identity disorder. Hannibal taught Randall how to hide his symptoms, and encouraged his homicidal ideation. Hannibal treated Randall for two years until he was 18 when he left home to go to university. He’s currently 27 years old and working at the Baltimore Museum of Natural History. When he is working there alone at night, he likes to take the skulls and claws of apex predators home so he can recreate them using stronger materials for his mecha kill suit.

Randall also has dissociative identity disorder, and his other personality is The Beast. He can’t control when The Beast takes over but he needs the mecha suit to feel like his body matches his mind or else he starts having a nervous breakdown.

Matthew doesn’t like to talk about his past. His biological parents were physically and mentally abusive. Even at the age of 29, his chin scar still gives him bitter flashbacks to his childhood when he looks in the mirror. He was taken into a several foster homes and group homes starting at the age of seven. He studied various specialities during his adolescence because of the time spent with different foster families (information systems technican, basic nursing skills, explosive ordnance disposal, culinary arts, etc). However, Matthew never lasted more than a few months in each new home because of his behavioral problems. He was 15 when he had his first stint at a mental institution where they officially diagnosed him with antisocial personality disorder (APD).

Matthew Brown is not Matthew’s given name. He has had multiple identities and has been using forged ID documents to find work ever since he was 18.

Depending on which canon divergence I feel like exploring, Matthew is either still in love with Will Graham but also has feelings for Randall or he hasn’t met Will in the canon yet.

They like to go hunting together for both humans and animals. Matthew brings his tranquilizer gun, and once their prey is immobile he enjoys watching Randall tear them apart.

After some coaxing, Matthew convinced Randall to get matching tattoos of a hawk encircling a cave bear on their left biceps.

Matthew loves to listen to Randall talk about engineering and prehistoric animals for hours. Randall’s low monotone voice makes him feel calm.

One day, Randall found a stray tortoiseshell kitten in a dirty alleyway in Baltimore. Matthew is more of a dog person but Randall looked so ecstatic that he let her stay. Randall named her Smiley (after Smilodon).

NSFW headcanons:

Matthew is always covered in bruises because when The Beast fucks him it’s always rough with a lot of biting.

Randall typically likes to bottom for Matthew when he is not The Beast.

Matthew has an average-sized cock but on the thicker side. Randall has a large cock that curves up a bit.
