Thinking about book 7 and I am really glad that they are taking their time with it?
I know that it’s longer than the other twst books and more lore, but I think it needs that.
It’s needs the length and it needs all these events to occur.
It needs its time to spread out these events so we can not only learn about the characters but the events that influenced these characters.
Which we didn’t need before in previous books, but this one we do. Because of the situation at hand compared to previous books would not work the same way if they followed the pattern nor would it give that effect.
We need to know why certain events took place. How certain characters came to be and what influenced their relationships.
What led to these events.
And while, yes, the angst is painful and tear jerking, these moments were very much needed.
Because without learning them first hand, without seeing it, we wouldn’t be as hit as we were in the previous books. And this is the only way for us to get that same effect as previously.
We can be in their shoes now and feel the pain they went through.
It’s very different when you’re told about an event that happened versus actually seeing the characters go through it and experiencing it.
So despite the length and the pain, I like that they are taking their time and hashing it out the way they are.
The wait was definitely worth it just for that. And I know it can be frustrating, but for a dorm that was always mysterious and we had barely no info on, it is what they needed to do.
So we, the players, can get a grasp on the story and these characters really well.
And I am thankful they are taking their time with it, despite wanting everyone to be happy you know? And wanting to see that happy ending and for them to be a family again.
Because it will be all the more satisfying once we get there, once we travel through that distance, and we finally get to that ending. As we also feel their relief and happiness after such a long and hard won journey, and that’s what I’m looking forward to.
That’s feeling of happiness, relief, and affection because it was all worth this long journey we had.

richard's relationship with money is so interesting to me despite/because of how vague and nonspecific it is in canon. which only makes sense because the show isn't interested in richard's backstory at ALL and, it being an audio medium, it can't exactly give many context clues like wardrobe/style or what his apartment/house looks like. but it's like......... he doesn't have interests, he dabbles in money-making activities. i am practically forced to assume that his mention of being good at pool also = a side hustle. his estranged dad up and left him a house and a paid ride to college. at this point he's way better off than he's ever been -- after 18 years of living with two separate conmen and a mother who doesn't care about him in mediocre apartments, he's suddenly on his own with his future out in front of him, and....... he STILL takes very risky grade-changing jobs for money? like he bypasses getting a regular college job and goes straight to petty crime? and apparently "far worse" crimes??? it's such an interesting balance between craving the security of Having Money and being pathologically unable to get it in a "normal" "safe" way. he doesn't even do anything with it in canon, he just GETS it. he isn't even buying lucy's drinks himself!!!! obviously even richard has bills to pay (which is. very funny to me. sorry that i think 19-year-old college era richard is the funniest person to ever exist, gremlin who's only ever lived in an apartment with his mother, sister, and mother's rotating cast of boyfriends, suddenly has a whole ass house dumped in his lap on his 18th birthday in exchange for his whole ass father's wholesale abandonment of him, has to figure out how to pay utility bills on his own, maybe thinks about getting a barista job or whatever kids did in the 80s, record shop clerk job?? and then nopes past it and picks "exploiting a child genius" as a career path instead. what a fucking legend. i also think he murdered people for money a couple times but that's just me) sorry i've lost the plot of this post thinking about campbell county community college computers richard. imagine being the people at the 5 Cs in charge of hiring STUDENT COUNSELORS and seeing richard maxwell strut into his interview and thinking "yes this 18-year-old suspiciously home-owning kid who talks like a john hughes movie antagonist and is currently his kid sister's very much illegal guardian is the perfect fit for our emotionally and socially fragile 11-year-old resident genius. what could go wrong" and then they have to pay for nicholas adamsworth's therapy sessions for the next 5 years because richard maxwell was what could go wrong. fuck. "waylaid in the windy city" maybe be my personal favorite richard but pre- and mid-"eugene's dilemma" richard is definitely the weirdest and funniest

PK letting some of his animalistic behaviours out whenever one of his children is endangered 👀
Doesn't even use his magic or weapons just goes straight to mauling in his rage
Truly animalistic appearance and noises, being on all fours (...sixes?) and with his mandibles out, snarling and letting out a growl that shakes the very ground they stand on
And then just as quickly he returns back to his upright stance and stoic demeanor, flicking his long tongue out to lick the blood around his eyes off and calmly asks somebody to clean the corpses up
I don't think FaaF PK might be the kind of man who would execute Xero when he was very clearly infected unless he thought he was a lost cause, ik that's what happened in canon but it's an AU so I think I'm allowed to change that. I've already made PV have a secret queer romance and have the fact they're not hollow be outed before the sealing, I think PK not wanting to execute a terminally I'll guy of not sound mind for treason isn't out of the question.
Unless one of his children got caught up in the crossfire, then his instincts would kick in before his rational brain would. And it'd be a much more violent and cooler way for him to go out. And although he's not proud of what he did, PK decides the damage has been done already, might as well show it off as an example of what happens to traitors. Robs a dead man of his dignity even post death because it's the more convenient option.
NOT canon compliant I don't think. Don't take this as my take of what happened in canon and how canon PK would react, I just think it's cool ✨️ I might absolutely turn back on this idea though I just like it atm

After the S4-S6 election/marriage, pre-S5. Some months into Tommy and Lizzie's marriage.
This frequently absent father and husband considers that he often does his best work in extreme circumstances: time pressure, resource constraints, situational uncertainty, high stakes, and gross emotional wounding. He knows what to do, doesn't he?
No matter what sort of internal spiralling disaster cascade he's busily ignoring inside. No matter what badly considered spur of the moment decisions he makes to get through the moment that he might pay for later. No matter what—

Good omens season 2 mini meta
alright good omens I’m not done ranting about the second season yet BECAUSE (spoilers under cut)
There’s a few things that I can’t stop thinking about:
1. Crowley was his happiest this season in heaven
Did anyone see how giggly Crowley is in heaven? He’s smiling, chuckling and jumping around and snorting with Muriel, and then again with Saraqael, and then again when going down the lift.
And I know it isn’t heaven specifically that’s making him giggle: it’s doing something mischievous (just like how he laughs when Aziraphale tells him about the halo thing) but isn’t it ironic? That this is the happiest we see him in the present time, and it’s when he’s snuck into heaven? It’s not heaven itself that makes him happy, but regardless, in this season we see him giggling and in a good mood the longest when he’s in heaven.
2. Aziraphale’s Halo
This is something my sister pointed out, and I don’t want to give more attention to it partly because I don’t want to believe it. But if we think about foreshadowing in this season, Aziraphale literally takes off his halo and throws it down. I know it’s something angels do during war, and the halo is more of a weapon than a symbol. but still, could it be foreshadowing? The immediate worry that he could have caused a war, and how pleased Crowley was by that. If it is alluding to something in the next season, it’s either Aziraphale falling (I hate that idea) OR Aziraphale declaring war, rejecting both heaven and hell as well as his status as an angel.
3. Aziraphale pulls Crowley in for the kiss
I am SICK of no one talking about this (jk). but right on minute 47:00 of episode 6, right before the camera shifts again, Aziraphales hands hover before getting closer to Crowleys back, and then their bodies shift closer together as if by force. I FULLY believe Aziraphale used his hands to pull Crowley in closer before pulling them away in the next shot after realizing what he did.
I’ve rewatched those few seconds so many times that no one can convince me thats not what happened.
4. Aziraphale has been wooing Crowley this entire season
Crowley only realized he was in love with Aziraphale in the final episodes.
I think Aziraphale has known since the start.
He’s been establishing intimacy with Crowley this entire season. For example, why ask to borrow his Bentley now? Like Crowley says, he likes taking the train. And instead of just asking to borrow it, why say that it’s “our” car? Why imply that it’s their bookshop?
He was constantly pushing Crowleys limits to see how far he can get, from the apology dance to borrowing his car and then asking them to dance together.
And Crowley lets him. He does the dance, he lets him use the car (though he’s not happy about it), and he dances with him even though he says he doesn’t dance. Aziraphale has been establishing an “us” from the beginning, and Crowley let’s him, mostly.
Crowley lets him borrow the car, but doesn’t allow Aziraphale any liberties with it. Crowley takes care of his bookshop, and doesn’t sell any of the books. but he also immediately takes his plants out of the bookshop before Aziraphale even has a chance to step inside. I’m sure he’s uncomfortable with Gabriel there, but this is also him asserting his independence, saying no to an “us” implicitly.
5. The ball
“Why were we all dancing?”
“I thought it might make you realize that [Maggie] loved you, and then you’d fall in love with her”
This might be a bit of a stretch, but HEAR ME OUT. What if, what IF, this is what Aziraphale was trying to do but with himself and Crowley?
Think: his ‘wait and see’, keeping the ball a surprise and shooing Crowley out of the shop while he sets up. His weird insistence on creating a perfect atmosphere at the expense of ignoring any and all dangers outside, which he knows can’t enter the bookshop anyways. Crowley is panicking, while Aziraphale literally manufactured a romantic setting and then dragged Crowley to dance with him, excited and giggling. If there weren’t demons outside the bookshop (which Aziraphale didn’t know about yet and was desperately trying to ignore any distractions), and Crowley wasn’t busy panicking, how would that scene have gone differently?
Aziraphale was trying to establish an ‘us’ this whole time, and in the end Crowley was too. But their timing was tragically off.
(6. More in the tags about the metatron btw.)

chulwoo soulmate au kinda based on xxxholic scene (yes the one where watanuki and doumeki ended up sharing an eyesight in one eye)
soulmates being extremely rare, and hard to find
apparently first eye contact establishes that link, and it starts to slowly grow. Being a soulmate means the most intimate thing you can ever have, because soulmates are connected on otherworldly principles. People assumed soulmates appeared a a phenomenon just like hunters, but they existed right from humanity’s dawn, it’s the most ancient possible connection.
And now add here mana.
Jin-Woo and Jin-Chul making first eye contact at hospital and having a weird, kinda funny feeling. They don’t pay too much attention to it though. And then the more meetings they have, the stronger their connection becomes. It becomes a local joke, that those two can sense each other without even realizing it from kilometers away, and Gun-Hee trusts Jin-Chul to mysteriously always having an idea where hunter Sung can be.
And then their bond reaches the level, where they experience soul mirror for first time - Jin-Chul was peacefully working at his desk when suddenly his right eye started to hurt and next thing he knows his view is doubled. He sees office and worried coworkers but also dark place full of enemies. He feels not fear but worry for someone he technically doesn’t know. And later witnesses state that Jin-Chul’s right eye was glowing luminescent blue whole time.
Jin-Woo experiences it for first time out of blue - he’s suddenly extremely tired and irritated at something that he has no idea about. He feels immense fatigue and beginnings of migraine, and can hear voices, many voices, demanding and asking, loud and quiet. He tasted bitter cold coffee on his tongue for remaining of the day.
Their bond progressively becomes stronger and stronger and with those occurrences it doesn’t take long for them to realize they’re soulmates. They share and share and share, from sight to moods to taste and other small things. Even their mana starts to dance around and slowly mix, coldness of Jin-Woo’s mana easing his headache.
Jin-Woo definitely using all the perks of their new bond to peek at what Jin-Chul is doing and tug at their connection when man is clearly overworking, while Jin-Chul is mostly calm always knowing where Jin-Woo is and if he’s alright.
/also god imagine them sleeping together ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for the first time and it’s absolutely sensory overload, them absolutely a mess, just grabbing other’s face, foreheads touching, and gently glowing with mana heterochromic eyes meeting in a long stare conveys everything and beyond it./
