THEY COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING OTHER . . . not set against this stone path muad'dib barrelled down, tongue-tied with the heady burn of cinnamon, it's all around them melange heavy air collecting in nostrils. she takes in greater quantities, feels the sloshing of it in her belly like a slow fire, and prays to the maker for an end to her own inadequacy. sihaya's arms remain empty, closing around nothing, and the more they reach for their beloved the more the ache grew. he was never really here, solidified into the present, true peace evaded them. had she more kindness to give irulan would be spared a little, she pawn, a key shoved into a lock that remained open — no fiddling required, the messiah sits a throne. and though his empress is beside him there's no arguing her place is shifty, unstable . . . those ever hungry eyes go unseen. only one woman mattered. and the spring in her never dried up, she was arrakeen's heart. and paul was arrakeen. ❝ the way things are will not change, expose your weakness less and there'd be no place to strike. ❞ the dismissal pecks at her teeth insistently, a warning. a promise.

im halfway through geoff emerick’s book on recording the beatles and it’s fascinating and all but on god, why is that man such an asshole to george harrison. he is so disrespectful to george and apparently so unprovoked too? man’s never seemed to do anything bad to emerick, apart from not being as close to him as paul is. it’s pissing me off at this point, like we get it you don’t like him, can we please move on now? he belittles george constantly and seems to highlight only his mistakes again and again, even sounding surprised the few times he actually likes george’s work. whereas paul hasn’t committed a single mistake in the five years i’ve read him describe so far. the difference in treatment is getting so distracting. i mean, come on. and he just pretends ringo doesn’t exist too like wtf lmao. hot take but it would greatly benefit the book if it was a little more balanced

im very fond of jn for a lot of reasons but honestly i think just the main character dynamics are iconic. like ash is ash, who cares. but goh and chloe are objectively hilarious characters, theyre practically made for a sitcom. my gay best friend who only befriended me because of my dad (but not in a gay way, in a nerd way…probably) but despite hating being associated with my dad’s work this somehow worked, because he was like a kicked puppy left out in the rain and i felt bad for him. and weirdly he doesnt actually seem to define me by my father’s work at all, which on a deep level i appreciate even if we never talk about it. and then even by the end of the show shes like, to ash, hey…you know you were goh’s first friend right? that’s a big deal to him. you should give him a little grace. maybe even go talk to him about being a stupid idiot. (read: so *i* dont have to.) like do you get what im saying. the dynamic is unparalleled as far as im concerned. tbh the reason why the writers were so scared of chloe especially in early jn is simply that their relationship was too chaotic to fully explore on-screen. they had to give them other friends and rivals first to soften the effect and distract us from how unhinged their history actually is

Ok so I just read through all of the chibi tag and loved it! You only drew Aiden the once I think, and said you were basing him on Paul Bullion, so in the chibi verse do him and Lambert 2 now look alike or does he have a new version?
Mmmm no, I don't think I'll come up with a new design for him (for now at least) since I don't plan on drawing Aiden soon and he's game material- so, those rare times I draw him, I automatically think of game!Lambert (also, I'd like to specify that I *usually* draw twn!Lambert and Eskel when it's specified in the prompt. Otherwise I always go for their game counterparts; they're the ones I love and cherish). Also (x2), please, don't take my silly drawings too seriously, ahaha XD there's no deep lore behind them, they're just silly little doodles
