#this is a part affirmation and part intro to a rant i need to unleash #but i’ll leave it in the tags here bc it feels safer lol #it’s abt my housemate the other day when we had our last class which is online but our previous classes were in person so as a class we #usually just pull it up on the main computer and broadcast the zoom in the classroom #but on this day the class before this zoom class got out early so lots of people went home early to just watch it on their own zoom or wtvr #so the row i sit in was pretty empty except for me my housemate and our two friends #and usually my housemate sits on my right but she got up and moved to sit on the other side next to our other friend and said nothing #and i didn’t want to say anything bc i was kinda sad/offended even though #her moving seats probably has nothing to do with me and much rather her personal preference i can’t help but think negatively abt myself #also one morning we were both off she went to the smoothie shop and coffee shop and just went to pick up her orders and i felt the same #reaction of like sad/offended bc she didn’t consider me at al like what if i wanted a smoothie too! #the final stretch on my horrible starvation mode sprint to lake city #ive fucked up on food before but never like this and im never letting it happen again (lying) #i met a lady in the morning on the mesa and kind of hiked out with her and she offered me fritos but i was like no im just gonna see it #through to the road at this point and no i couldn't keep up with her #oh her name was pom pom!! and she had a son in like a phd program she told me abt his work but i cant remember. #anyways just for the record i had a lil afternoon meal and no dinner and then a little handful of trail mix for breakfast and then NOTHING #until the next morning where i had a single pack of lifesaving cold soaked quaker oatmeal. and i got to town that afternoon #and idk how that sounds to you but i honest to god felt like i got hit by a fucking truck #EVERYTHING hurt #the second morning i got out of breath just from packing up my tent #its the closest i have ever gotten to quitting a trail. there was a side trail i almost dipped out on that would have gotten me to town #sooner but long story short i thought it was gonna get me too far off schedule to finish on time #so i stuck it out!!! and im proud of that!! #i really cannot overstate the suffering my muscles were ripping up and eating themselves and i couldnt get enough AIR #THE TORTURES!!!!! I think I love GarJon and just Gar being a part of the S&L universe so much because of the normalcy it allows Gar to have.

He deserves to have a few hours or longer out of the day to be a regular teenager; not a therapist or hero. Let my boy throw his Jon's Smallville Crows letterman jacket on and go watch his boyfriend's football game, experience that "omg that's my boyfriend!" heart eyes feeling when Jonny-Boy scores a touchdown. Then go out to get ice cream afterwards and just chat and laugh about whatever they can think of, no discussing missions or anything related to being a Titan.

He gets to have fun and is happy to be dragged into whatever Jon and Jordan decide to do that day whether it's going tubing down the river or hiking then jumping into the lake to cool off, either one they'll be singing their favorite songs on the way there.
