he's the original robin & the first sidekick to ever exist :3 one of the most iconic bird-named supers out there !!also he's an acrobat known for doing fancy flips & tricks and jumping around gotham rooftops so while he can't fly he does come pretty close.

He started the trend of bird names for half the Bats! He's also an aerialist and spends a lot of time in the air for someone who cannot technically fly. Also he is consistently referred to as one of the best and most reliable heroes in the DC universe.

Lesgles is an alternate spelling of L'Aigle, which means The Eagle, in french.

Then this tournement is for you! Here you can submit your favourite song that fucks you up the most, and battle it out to see which ballard will be named the ultimate fuck-you-up song of tumblr!

Submission Rules

Submissions will stay open for a week, but if I get a crazy amount of submissions, then it'll close sooner.

Alternatively, if I don't get as many, I might leave it open longer so there's a good amount :)

This probably goes without saying by this point, but don't do multiple re-submissions of the same song. It just makes the sorting process so much more difficult for me

Yes, you can submit songs from musicals and TV shows. However, I won't be including more than 2-4 songs from each media, depending on how long that particular soundtrack is.

Song must be at least remotely fuck-you-up-ish. You must be able to justify its place within the tournement

Instrumentals are allowed

You can rant a bit about whatever blorbo you may project the song onto. It'll help me understand it better

You're allowed to submit a song by a problematic artist, however I am not in control of how quickly that gets voted off

We all know what a blorbo is, but have you ever wondered what the weirdest one out there is? If so, this bracket is for you. From forgotten side-characters to historical figures to real life boats, this poll aims to find the oddest most obscure object of obsession. The winner of this poll will be the strangest fave on the Strange Fave website, and submissions are open HERE.

Rules:

Blorbo is a flexible term, but usually applies to sentient characters. The key here is that you love them & adore them & would call them "poor little meow meow" and other such terms of affection. If you want to scrunch them like an accordion, put them in a salad spinner, tenderly care for their wounds, or wring them out like a washcloth, you're on the right track.

Blorbo does not have to be from your shows. They can be from your books, your videogames, your history books, or really anything you can think of.

Real people are allowed BUT only if they are ALREADY PUBLIC/HISTORICAL FIGURES & NOT ON THIS WEBSITE. I am not putting Neil Gaiman or whoever in here without their express permission.

The more obscure the character is, OR the less blorbo'd they are, the more likely they are to be included! There are shows with millions of viewers a week, but because their target audience is extremely mainstream, not many people feel this way about them. I would like to clarify that the reason I want CAR-11E to advance in @best-hifi-rush-character’s polls is not because I want CAR-11E to take the trophy home. That’s not the goal and it never was. (Though it would be rather sweet.)

No, the reasons why I wanted CAR-11E to get to this specific fight against Kale are three-fold:

CAR-11E units, like many of the older Vandelay models, have had their lives made worse by Kale in ways that frankly disgust me. He deserves to be shoved off a very tall podium and who better to do that then the little box-moving robots he’s been overworking? (Well, a lot of people. But CAR-11E’s in the best position to do it right now for maximum comedic effect.)

I realized CAR-11E would be facing Chai even if they did manage to kill Kale and at first that disheartened me. Chai is my beloved blorbo and I would have to lay down my cause the moment we got to him in the brackets. Then I realized that didn’t have to be a bad thing. If I made the goal getting to Chai instead of getting past him, then I could have my cake and eat it too! And draw adorable art about them being friends. :DD

I initially just really wanted CAR-11E to kill that fucking bird so it would lose and now it’s turned into CAR-11E being unironically my second favorite hfr character. (I lump Chai and 808 together in my heart. <3) CAR-11E has already won in my heart and in some of yours so all that’s left is for Kale to get swept by an embarrassing margin. I believe in us. We can do it!!

My intention for when CAR-11E sweeps Kale off this mortal plane is to either draw a comic or animate smth really rough where Chai and CAR-11E meet up. It’s gonna be so sweet and so fluffy and I’m so excited!! Thank you so much for getting CAR-11E this far. (We’re so close!! The goal is within reach!!!)

Introduction to the tournament!

I took inventory of all the birds I have as of 4/11/2023 and I wanna make a bracket with them all to determine who gets first dibs at a big prize at the end!

I will be making posts introducing my babies as best as I can before we get into the rounds; some of them look the same or way too similar to tell apart and even if I forgot their name I will be giving them a proper one for in the tournament!

I’m not sure yet if I want to enter some as groups, as there could be some together and as far as I can tell 125 is a bit awkward of a number for a bracket but I haven’t determined the math yet— I’m thinking I will add what groups they could join in each post and the bird amount for each group could be quite flexible based on who hangs out with who or who’s related and whatnot

Until I get to the posts I will also have to take a good picture of everyone— one looks a tad like a sopping wet beast because despite our best efforts her feathers are taking a while to grow back after her molt but I assure you she’s otherwise as well as she can be!

I would also be willing to take suggestions for:

• names of currently forgotten-named birds

•prizes for the winners and losers of mini-brackets (I’m farming earthworms so there’s at least that!)

•the big prize!

Anything else. I doubt people will fight about this like on blorbo polls but I would not appreciate people like animal rights activists for example clowning on my posts or blog— this is not a place or time for discourse of any sort I am just making this to have fun and post my birds, you know?
