#some of my irl friends have been trying to convince me to sell my art at cons for a while #and today's experience at game on expo had really motivated me to actually start thinking about it #while i was waiting in line for astarion's VA meet n greet- #i got a lot of compliments from fans around me about my illustration when i opened up the portfolio binder #i decided to offer giving some away because i printed out a little too many copies #and some of them offered to pay me 🤯 #and a friend who was waiting in line with me told me that this is a sign that i should really consider vending at cons lmao 🤔 #a few other friends told me that they were open to helping me out since they vended a lot before 🥲 #the wisp whispers

#I've printed half of the signatures of the first book. #it will be fourteen in total which i think is the biggest book I've bound? #worries me a little because i may have to round it which i don't really want to do. #don't love the paper I'm using but I need to use it up and I'd rather do it on something I'm not selling #i still have no idea what I'm doing for the cover. haven't even decided on how I'm going to bind it. #i was really hoping the inspiration would have struck me at this point but no luck #i want the two volumes to match but i don't want them to be the same #i think I'm going to hold off on the second book in case we do ever get another season #two volumes the same size will look nicer. and be easier. #been out of the book binding groove for a while so it's nice to ease back into it #even if formatting was HELL i don't know how you fic binders do it #bookbinding #mabel podcast

If anyone ever doubts that I'm autistic, they should know that when I was 10, I somehow obtained a really big collection of baseball cards; not because I gave even two shits about baseball, but because of the many ways and combinations in which I could spend an inappropriate amount of hours sorting and re-sorting them

Every year around this time, Christmas season, I very much consider trying to order a binder for myself. Because if a package has my name on it, no one will open it since they’ll assume it’s a gift. But every year I don’t because I get the feeling this isn’t a great idea.

I just can’t stand my chest and want an actual binder so bad

Finally ordered a new binder!! Shoutout to Transguy Supply and Spectrum Outfitters for being two of the only fucking trans-centric stores that acknowledge and don’t actively exclude nonbinary people and/or anyone that’s not on T 🙃

If anyone remembers the debacle from a few months back wherein I ordered a new binder but it was a size small, I ordered one in my correct size from the same company; I’m trying not to get my hopes up like I did last time, but I do hope it at least helps. Wish me luck!!
