"Kaitou and Tsukasa are in a constant war to either fight each other or kill each other, all while having intensely gay romantic feelings for each other. The only reason they ever protect one another is because they want to be the only ones to kill each other in the end, no matter what. Each time Kaitou sees Tsukasa again, he asks if Tsukasa has "eaten sea cucumber" yet, being both a pun on sucking dick, AND because sea cucumber is poisonous and would kill Tsukasa if he ate it. Tsukasa himself likes hindering Kaitou's attempts at theft and ruining his day, sometimes even beating him up if the situation calls for it. Kaitou's actor, Kimito Totani has also said on several occasions that he plays Kaitou as though "He has romantic feelings for Tsukasa, and wants those feelings to be noticed." During the Sentai x Rider crossover movie, Tsukasa joins an evil organization known as Shocker to keep Kaitou safe, but Kaitou feels betrayed by this reveal at the end, deciding that if he was betrayed by Tsukasa, he'll show Tsukasa how it feels to be betrayed - by stealing the villains' giant robots and combining them into an even larger robot, just to make a point. When this plan ultimately fails, he tells Tsukasa "I never want to see you again! ... But I don't think I could ever forget you.", revealing he had stolen one of Tsukasa's most important items to keep a reminder. Despite his claims there, he shows up again in the later show, Kamen Rider Zi-O, ALL BECAUSE Tsukasa was there, where he kills Tsukasa, then brings Tsukasa back to life. These two should SO smooch."
