Look closely at the wavy areas, if you see white specks, try and see where they're relatively an equal distance apart. It's hard to tell but if you get it right, you can safely tear open up a hole by following that line

i stand by my point that it doesn't really make sense to compare moonflower and hawkheart directly, and i also stand by "if you force me to compare them, i'll say moonflower was in the wrong,"

but there's a difference between "if i am forced to draw a comparison between moonflower and hawkheart, i will side with hawkheart" and "moonflower should have gone to the dark forest"

Brambleclaw rolled his eyes, "Because I'm the only one who has their warrior name, SquirrelPAW."

"Hardly!" she shot back, "you're the worst warrior in the clan!"

Talonpaw piped up, "Oh yeah! Didn't you barely pass your assessment?"

Brambleclaw shot him a look. How would he know that? "I doubt I'm the only one who's done that."

"Yeah, but you're like the son of Tigerstar!" Talonpaw continued. "So, shouldn't you be one of the best?"

"Well," Primrosepaw mewed, "he isn't his father, so we shouldn't assume he'd be like him. Talent doesn't always breed talent, you know."

Brambleclaw wasn't sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult.

"If we could get back on topic," Crowpaw said, "I think that as obnoxious as Squirrelpaw is-"

Squirrelpaw whipped around, teeth bared, "You're not rainbow and sunshine yourself, rabbit-face!"

"I was going to say, as obnoxious as Squirrelpaw is, she's right. We didn't decide that Brambleclaw could lead us."

Squirrelpaw turned back to Brambleclaw, "See! Even rabbit-face agrees with me!"

"I regret it already," Crowpaw muttered.

"Is this how you all speak to the warriors back in your own clans?" Brambleclaw asked.

"Nope. Just you." Squirrelpaw purred.

"I don't think it's bad if he leads," Primrosepaw said, tapping her chin thoughtfully with a paw.

"Seriously?" Talonpaw said.

Brambleclaw sighed in relief, "Thank y-"

"After all," She continued. "I'd rather not be at the forefront of the group when we have to explain to our clans why we abandoned them."

Brambleclaw blinked, "...what?"

"We left our clans without a word of where we're going when leaf-bare is coming up soon. Clearly the medicine cats don't know about the signs, or they would've said something, so we can't rely on them to confirm for us. And, if we're interpreting the signs correctly, by the time we get back the forest's destruction would have started making us look extra suspicious. Who's to say we won't be tried for treason?

Everyone stilled.

"They wouldn't do that." Talonpaw peeped. He turned to Brambleclaw with wide eyes, silently asking him for reassurance. "They wouldn't, right?"

Squirrelpaw and Crowpaw looked up at him as well, the same question reflected in their eyes.

"Of course not!" Brambleclaw said, "We were sent by Starclan!"

"They don't know that." Primrosepaw said.

"I'm sure Starclan wouldn't let that happen. Maybe they sent the dream to the medicine cats or the leaders as well."

"Then why didn't they say anything?" Primrosepaw countered. "They don't know. No one does, except for us."

Talonpaw whimpered.

Crowpaw shook his head, "They won't do that, they wouldn't try us for trying to protect our clans."

"We're Starclan knows how far away from home and all our clans know is that we left them right before things got hard."

"My clan taught me to trust them no matter what!" Crowpaw snarled.

"And my mother taught me that danger can come from anywhere, even your own clan, or have you all forgotten the stories about Tigerclan and the Colony?"

Crowpaw glared at the floor, "They wouldn't." He muttered stubbornly.

"Even if they don't, what if one of us gets hurt and can't complete our assessment? We'd be chased away. Brambleclaw is the oldest and should've ensured our safe return." Primrosepaw reasoned, "I'm just saying, either way, he's our safest bet."

"Thanks for the encouragement, Primrosepaw," Brambleclaw hissed.

Primrosepaw shrugged, unconcerned.

Everyone was silent for a long moment, thoughts running through their heads.

"Let's keep moving," Brambleclaw said quietly.

Hey, I just read through your 863 fics and I love them so much! I was wondering if you take requests or prompts by chance? I used to write for the Iplier universe but I've drifted out of those circles. Do you have an recs for other 863 writers? I haven't found any other fics besides yours :D
