Replaying pokemon conquest is just a reminder of how weird I thought some of the lines the characters dropped were

And I DO still think they’re weird. Not weird ‘ugh’ just weird ‘lol how outlandish’. It’s just that now I understand exactly what ‘fire emblem but pokemon’ means

I’m curious about how some of the features present in both games but absent in Conquest would have been handled had they been put in

Headcanon: Warlords in a Snowball Fight

In Azuchi…

Nobunaga – Strides through the field of battle, easily packing the snow into efficient weapons. Cooly confident that nobody would dare... Splat!

Masamune – A snow battle? Bring it on! Runs wildly into action, skidding to a drift, quickly forms lopsided snowballs, and throws them with surprisingly good aim, especially given his blind side. Which… by the way… Splat!

Hideyoshi – Sets out a list of rules, including, no ice in the middle of your snowball, no throwing snowballs inside the castle, absolutely no running! In the midst of announcing the rules… Splat!

Ieyasu – Splat! He goes home and locks himself in his panic room with his emotional support sourdough starter.

Mitsunari – An army is made and broken by its organization. Carefully stockpiles snowballs at strategic points throughout Azuchi. Then gets distracted by a new book and forgets to join in the battle.

Ranmaru – Finds Mitsunari’s useful stacks of snowballs, and climbs to the roof, where he systematically picks everyone off, sniper style. Splat!

Keiji – Stands in the center of the field of play, grabbing the closest snow at hand, and throwing it randomly. He’s a dervish. Then he opens his arms wide and yodels, “Who wants to take on the wild child of these war-torn islands, he whose name is sung far and wide, the roguish misfit, Keiji Maeda?” Splat! Splat! Splat!

Mitsuhide – Excels at sneaking from hiding spot to hiding spot, surprising victims by popping up out of nowhere and disappearing before they can retaliate. Is also the reason Ieyasu is hiding.

At Kasugayama… things are slightly more dangerous

Kenshin – Instead of snowballs, hurls icicles like spears.

Kanetsugu – When people complain about flying icicles, tells them they should be honored to receive such attention from the God of War.

Shingen – Organizes Yukimura and Yoshimoto into a team and carefully strategizes the best times and places to attack. Has also built a working snow catapult. In spite of all that, he ends up strangely covered in snow, because, let’s face it, the man looks great in a wet kimono. And out of one.

Yukimura – Is an athletic and efficient snowball thrower, very good on the front lines in an all-out battle, but not terribly good at sneak attacks.

Yoshimoto – Is every snowflake truly different? Let’s find out? He wanders out into the garden. Is not seen until spring.

Sasuke – After getting hit by one too many icicles, packs his snowballs with ground spikes and sets off smoke bombs to escape.

Lone Forces…

Kennyo – Tricks Azuchi and Kasugayama into fighting each other, then goes off and feeds hungry forest creatures.

Motonari – Snow? Snow doesn’t burn. Hell has frozen over. Sets sail for more tropical climates at the first sign of a flake.

Kicho – Sets off an avalanche.

This is just a fun little thing I decided to do because of how much knowledge I have of some characters and I love sharing. Some of these are pretty obvious, not all the characters will be here so if you want to add the facts you know that aren’t here, feel free to do so!

Fun little facts about the warlords.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

Whenever he goes out to get Konpeito from the kitchen, he wears a hood on his head to try and disguise himself.

He treats bearsace as a sacred artifact, on one event a kid asks if they can play with bearsace and he just said no because it was important to him.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi has a group of lady friends with whom he has tea with, they admire him and definitely have a crush, but they are more like friends.

Hideyoshi isn’t fond of sweets, but he doesn’t mind eating them if it’s with someone special.

Ieyasu Tokugawa.

He studies medicine and treats many people, but he is better as a veterinarian as he treats harmed animals, even if he doesn’t admit it.

He likes hot sauce to a dangerous degree, it’s never hot enough for him.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

It has been said that, the reason why he he eats food all mixed up in a weird way is because he can’t taste it.

In one audio drama, mitsuhide purposely competed with Hideyoshi for the right hand man position just so that Hideyoshi realized how much he deserves that position. (He also cooked for Nobunaga and was proud of his monstrosity.

Mitsunari Ishida.

He is the only one who has ever come close to beating Nobunaga in Go, which shows how smart he is.

Even though they have completely different personalities, Mitsunari and Mitsuhide are often studying together, they both are like the Mitsu duo. They also have eating problems. Mitsuhide because of how he mixes food badly and Mitsunari because he just forgets to eat while studying.

Masamune Date.

In one audio drama, Masamune challenges shingen when they see each other at the market in azuchi, but when shingen suggests they eat before fighting, masamune decides to take over the kitchen to cook for them both.

In another audio drama, focusing on the characters “Yandere” characteristics, masamune showed to fit the role surprisingly well.

Ranmaru Mori.

In an audio drama, Ranmaru revealed to be very skilled with acting. More specifically, he knows how to pretend to be a girl very well. His voice actor was able to imitate a feminine voice pretty well.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

Kenshin saved three bunnies’ lives by simply saying he didn’t feel like eating rabbit soup, and since then those three bunnies keep following him while multiplying.

There is a version of ikemen sengoku that was only released in Japan, on the PS vita. Only a few selected characters were chosen to have routes on it and kenshin is one of them. On it, there is a piece of story where kenshin goes into the future and manages to control a mafia group. (I don’t know Japanese, so I don’t know how accurate this is, but there are cgs of him in a modern attire from the ps vita game).

Shingen Takeda.

There are many things that could be said about him, but one of my favorites is the fact that shingen is one of the few characters that actually swear in the game.

During an audio drama, he reveals that he likes when a girl ties her hair when entering the hot springs, mostly because he likes seeing the nape of their neck getting flushed.

Just an extra one because I love him, shingen has shown that he likes when people, regardless of them being women or men, compliment him. During the event “the art of seduction” where he teaches the other warlords how to flirt, he seems to appreciate when Mitsunari compliments him as a teacher.

Yukimura Sanada.

Yukimura had a different voice actor the start of the game, but he was changed. You can still see his previous voice actor voicing him in the audio drama he is in with Shingen and Yoshimoto.

He has a hard time finding what to talk about with Yoshimoto, to the point where he starts talking about spears and which ones are his preference, Yoshimoto finds the subject boring.

Yoshimoto Imagawa.

Yoshimoto is part of the few characters that were featured in the Ps vita, meaning he had a route out way before it was released in the original game.

I don’t know Japanese and never managed to find a translation for his route in the ps vita version, but there are cgs of him with Mc in the modern era.

Sasuke.

Sasuke was also featured in the audio drama with kenshin and Masamune about the Yandere concept, and was actually spooked by how good he is at that role.

Lone forces.

Motonari Mouri.

Motonari is fluent in many languages, including Portuguese (my first language is Portuguese, so it’s funny seeing him speak in Portuguese sometimes)

He wasn’t in any audio drama, but was first featured in the ikemen sengoku anime.

Kennyo.

Kennyo naturally attracts wild animals because of the energy he has, they seem to sense that Kennyo is a good person.

Kennyo has acted as a father for Ranmaru since he was a child, which would explain why Ranmaru is so dedicated towards Kennyo.

Mitsuhide

Oh ho...what a surprise.

To be honest, it wouldn't be too shocking that he probably figured out she was pregnant before she did.

He is happy of course, though he will likely focus on teasing her about it.

But inside he is just a little conflicted about being a parent, let alone about whether he would make for a good one. He has no doubt that Y/N will be a splendid mother. Him as a father....debatable.

However, he will resolve to be there for her and take care of her every step of the way, she will want for nothing.

He finds himself deep in thought ever since discovering her pregnancy. Contemplating. Planning. He wants this child to grow up happy and safe, but he also knows life tends to have other plans.

If he had to choose between genders, he'd pick a little girl. He will unabashedly say he'd a little girl to spoil and tease as much as he teases his little mouse.

"Now wouldn't that be fun, hm?"

Kenshin

He...almost doesn't understand what she is talking about?

A child? Inside her? What was it doing there?

Logically he knows how it got there but...

His initial reaction may not be the best, as he is not entirely sure how to take it, not because he necessarily upset, even if he may seem that way at first.

He may come off as sullen or despondent at first, but that's only out of shock and maybe some worry.

He doesn't consider it a bad thing when he settles and actually thinks about it. Truth be told, the more he does think about it, the more he likes the idea of having a child with Y/N. A bit apprehensive but glad, even if he doesn't say as much.

He will feel infinitely more protective of her, being extra picky about who is near, how near they are and for how long. This particularly applies to Shingen.

He will cut any potential threat to her and his unborn child to pieces.

He doesn't think too much about the gender but...perhaps a boy? And then the next baby will be a girl. In that order.

"Why settle for just one of them? We will have both."

Yukimura

Ehhhh!?!

He is broken. Has ceases to function.

He feels as though she is joking at first but no, she is very much carrying a baby.

His baby no less... Well of course its his, there would be no way it could be anyone else's!

Yuki is...losing his mind a little here. He is just short of mentally running around in circles, as though she is already in labour.

Of course he is overjoyed in ways that can't be described. Once the shock has dissipated, he will pick her up and spin her around, his smile capable of lighting up the night sky with it's brightness.

He does worry about being a good father to the baby, but he vows in his heart he will do everything in his power to be there for his child.

He may not mind the gender of the baby, but if asked, he may say he would prefer a girl. If asked why, he may stutter and grumble that he just wants one, avoiding eye contact and his cheeks tinting red a bit.

"...I want her to be as pretty as Y/N..."

SLBP: Lords' ideal types

Introduction: In Otome, we can obviously dive into the life of a specific MC and while she often differs slightly depending on which love interest we're following, she remains the same character with the same background and overall personality. Most developers make an effort to make her as neutral as possible as to enable self-insertion for the largest group of readers, but needlessly to say, that's an aim that can hardly be attained.

In SLBP, we have cook MC with the "wilder" alternation of ninja MC in the Song of Shadow version. As the Otome universe predicts, each and every character will fall for her: It doesn't matter, if the love interest is bloodthirsty, stoic, funny, naive; she's got them all wrapped around her finger.

Doubtlessly, however, those characters, too, would in fact differ in what they find attractive and seek for in a partner.

Nobunaga:

A well-informed person. Nobunaga's ideal type is someone who has a general overview on a variety of topics and basically knows what's going on in the world. He doesn't even mind if they have sly tendencies. To him, it's important that he can rely on them during tougher times in his life instead of being a cute extra on the side.

Mitsuhide:

Someone who is similar to himself. People can rarely relate to Mitsuhide's choices, interests or hobbies. Due to his exemplary attitude and embrace of virtues, he even took on the image of being a boring person. Someone who relates to him in regard to not only hobbies, but also moral standards would attract him the most.

Yukimura:

A carefree but caring soul. It is most likely that Yukimura falls for a person whom he can share inconsequential moments with, much fun, much love, little drama. This is not to say that there will be no drama in Yukimura's relationships, but it is the softness within a person that makes him potentially fall in love with them.

Saizo:

A light-hearted person. This man doesn't know how healthy human relationships work, so he seeks whatever is easiest for him to deal with. If he can have fun at their expense, that's definitely a plus point. Regardless of if it's actually good for him or not, he's not a fan of being challenged or forced to face certain issues. Saizo prefers a partner who offers him stability in a life of turmoil over someone who acts as a pit stop for further development.

Masamune:

Attentive, patient and serene. Earning Masamune's trust is comparable to approaching a cat - charging right in doesn't work. Rather, it's a better idea to wait, retreat when necessary and retry. Someone who can properly interpret his reactions and doesn't give up on him while still offering him his space would definitely be rewarded with endless loyalty.

Kojuro:

Combining ostensible oppositions. There is little more attractive to Kojuro than someone whose personality is solidified enough for them to determine appropriately when to be mature or silly, when to be compassionate or strict, etc. Ideally, they are dominant, headstrong without neglecting being a teamplayer, when the time calls for it.

Shingen:

A free spirit. Someone who does whatever they want, says whatever they want whenever they want not only attracts Shingen's attention, but also gets him going. He likes people that don't care for others' opinions or restrictions of other kinds, but this doesn't mean that this type of personality wouldn't clash with Shingen in a committed relationship, as he can be very possessive.

Kenshin:

Someone who is appreciative and perhaps a bit unconventional. Kenshin chooses to see beauty in everything and feels attracted to people who manage to do the same. He prefers optimistic and bubbly personalities that have a positive profundity. Besides, he's quirky and enjoys little peculiarities in people who surround him.

Hideyoshi:

Nurturing and compassionate at heart. It's not the behavior or attitude that matters to him, but the motivation underlying the respective actions. Hideyoshi would see a potential partner in someone, if they care for people, regardless of how they show it. Their values have to, however, be genuine instead of being based on ulterior motives and Hideyoshi will see through them.

Toshiie:

The sultry kind. Toshiie feels attracted to whatever is considered conventionally "sexy". His ideal type is someone who is sure of themselves and knows exactly what they want. In that case, they can also afford to be a bit more on the dominant or even arrogant side. However, Toshiie doesn't negotiate when it comes to mentalities that stray too much from his own.

Reminder: "Ideal Type" does not equal what type is actually good for someone, nor does it exclude other types from being someone's potential soul mate. I can totally see Toshiie ending up falling head over heals for a "tomboy" or "wallflower" or Saizo's ideal type impeding his character development etc. etc.

I sat in the main hall of Kasugayama, attending another banquet with my beloved and all of our friends. We were in a loose circle all together sharing food and drink and lots of laughs. “Allow me to pour you another cup, beautiful goddess.” Shingen spoke to me, holding up the bottle of sake.

“I appreciate the gesture…” I began, but was interrupted by Kenshin taking the bottle from Shingen and then pouring sake into my cup.

“I’ll be the only one pouring for her.” Kenshin said. “Go find some other goddess. This one is mine.”

I felt my cheeks redden, but I also couldn’t help but to smile. Kenshin got jealous so easily sometimes. “You know Kenshin, you’re the only man for me. It doesn’t matter how anyone else flirts.” I assured him.

“I know.” Kenshin replied. “But HE needs to stop it.”

Shingen chuckled. “I know when a goddess is unavailable.” He said. “I can appreciate basking in her presence without having to take anything from you.”

Kenshin put an arm around my waist and pulled me closer all while glaring at Shingen. “Next time you flirt with her, I will kill you.”

“Can’t have one day go by without Lord Kenshin threatening someone.” Sasuke said.

“Well, it would help if Lord Shingen would stop flirting.” Yukimura replied.

We all spent the evening talking and joking together, sharing laughter. Shingen threw out a few more flirty lines here and there…and Kenshin threatened to kill him, actually pulled his sword out a time or two.

“That’s ten KU in less than an hour.” Sasuke murmured, causing me to laugh as I calmed Kenshin down and got him to put his sword away.

“I still can’t believe you turned it into a measurement.” I told Sasuke, being the only one to understand his joke.

“It is for my scientific research.” Sasuke replied matter-of-factly. “Also helps me to keep picturing myself in a movie.”

“Our lives would be an interesting movie for certain.” I agreed.

“Mo-vie?” The others asked in unison.

“It’s kind of like a play.” I explained.

“But recorded to be enjoyed again and again.” Sasuke added.

We all talked a while longer as the party went on before Kenshin was declaring he;d had enough for the night. He stood up and held his hand out for me. I smiled as I placed my hand in his and then bid everyone a good night.

Shingen grinned at me over his sake cup. “Enjoy your evening, goddess.”

There was something in the look in his eyes, suggesting he knew something was coming and I found myself blushing in embarrassment. I turned my gaze to focus on Kenshin who’s shoulders were almost stiff as we walked.

“Kenshin…” I began trying to find out what was the matter.

Before I could get anything other than his name out. Kenshin was whirling around and scooping me up into his arms, his lips were on mine in a passionate kiss. “Mmm…” I moaned into the kiss, despite the fact that we had just barely left the prying eyes and ears of the rest of the castle.

Kenshin broke the kiss, his emerald and sapphire gaze burning and filling me with a passionate heat. “I’m sorry.” He murmured. “But I can’t help myself.” He was then carrying me down the hall, all the way to our shared bedroom, pepper kisses on my face and neck.

When we finally made it to our room, Kenshin was laying me down on the futon and climbing over me, his hungry lips descending upon me as his hands moved to the obi at my waist, deftly untying it to open my kimono and expose my skin to his affectionate fingers and roving gaze.

“You are always so beautiful.” He murmured as his lips trailed along my jaw and then down the side of my neck. His kisses soon came with a stinging pleasure, letting me know there would be red marks blooming across my skin soon.

Kenshin continued to trail his kisses down my body, kissing my collar bones, and I soon felt his tongue come out to play as soon as he reached my breasts. “Hmm…Kenshin…” I moaned as I arched into him, my body seeking to be closer to his.

“Yes, come undone for me.” Kenshin told me as he slid his hands to my hips, his lips continuing their journey down the front of my body. He was soon parting my thighs, his head dipping down and his tongue coming out to play with my sensitive bud, sending white hot heat spiking through me.

“Ah…Kenshin…” I moaned, my back arching.

Kenshin continued to stimulate me, his tongue twisting and moving in ways I didn’t think possible. Each stroke of his tongue sent another shock of pleasure through me, building until I was seeing stars as my release barrelled through me.

“Kenshin!” I cried out.

Kenshin kissed my brow. “I’m sorry…I can’t help myself.” He said. “When I see what you share with him…things that I’ll never be able to share with you…it makes me want to share in the thing you share with only me.”

“Kenshin…” I looked up at him questioningly. I was used to Shingen’s flirting by this point and I thought Kenshin had even mostly grown numb to it. He became easier to settle down now. “There’s nothing I share with Shingen…”

“Not him.” Kenshin replied. “Sasuke…you are both from the same time. A time I will never see.”

I lifted my hand to rest on his cheek. “None of that matters. My heart is yours Kenshin…as is the rest of me.”

Kenshin turned his head to kiss the palm of my hand. “As I am yours.” He replied. “Which is why I feel such strong jealousy and desire all mixed up when it comes to you…I’m sorry.”

I smiled up at him. “I don’t mind.” I replied. “Especially when it results with you loving me so well…jealousy seems to be a great motivator for you.”

Kenshin smiled at me. “You indulge me too much, my love.” He told me before capturing my lips and beginning to thrust into me, continuing our long night of pleasure.

I said I was gonna put together that Unrequited/Love Rival list for IkeSen and by the gods I am going to put it together! Shout out to @babyblue0t7 for reminding me (and sharing some info too) that I had made a post with the goal and intent to put together said list but got distracted by a multitude of things;;;; (and poor memory;;)

Also thank you to the Ikemen Discord server crew that I'm a part of, especially @sevenai & @veervers on said server, I appreciate the assist in helping me figure out who was who in these routes!

Everything will be under a read more and this originally started as me wanting to sate my curiosity over it. Reblogs for this is GREATLY appreciated over the likes as it'll help spread it as well as help anyone else who wants to sate their curiosity.

However as I previously said, this isn't a 100% completed list as we still have more sequels to be released on top of one more route to be released via JP server.

「Ikesen Historivia] Adult men can and will get stuck with their childhood name, sometimes

This is Ikesen-verse so it's fine, and it's for fluff's sake, but actually... in reality a number of Sengoku people had to go by their childhood names even after they get their adult names.

The thing about the Sengoku is, you can't actually call people by their names straight. You can't call Nobunaga with "Nobunaga-sama", that's rude and maybe your life might go bye bye because of it. You have to use "alias names".

(you can apparently use the name in letters, or if the person has a high enough title to be addressed with -kou suffix, but most of the time you don't use personal names like "Nobunaga" straight)

You know, if you play SLBP you'll see Yukimura sometimes introduce himself as "Sanada Genjirou Yukimura". "Genjirou" is the alias name, and in real life that's what you should call him by, not "Yukimura".

The problem is, not everyone gets to have that alias name. I actually have no idea why sometimes people do and sometimes they don't, but when they don't get an alias name, the childhood names becomes the "alias".

Mitsunari is an example of this. He still went by his childhood name "Sakichi" even after Honnouji, as accounted by multiple paperwork, even though he definitely already has his adult name then.

Other than childhood names and aliases, people also can be addressed by titles. Motonari as far as I know don't have an alias name, so he could be addressed as Shoujomaru and that should be 100% fine. He did seem have a title pretty early on, though, which is "Tanpi-dono", so people can also address him with this.

But again, like the issue with Kichou's name this is so much technobabble lingo, would be confusing to casual readers if Ikesen had followed the Real Life (TM) rules. Nobody cares except for people who just really like to read about real history.

Bonus Trivia of aliases: Nobunaga's alias is "Saburou", Hideyoshi is "Toukichirou", Masamune is "Toujirou", Akechi is "Juubei", Shingen is "Tarou", Kenshin is "Heizo", Ieyasu is "Jirousaburou", Yoshimoto is "Hikogorou".

Kanetsugu also doesn't have one, so he goes by his childhood name "Yoroku".

Keiji is... just Keiji, because that is the "alias name". Some people are more famously known by their alias instead of their actual name. Sometimes written as Keijirou. He also supposedly went by "Soubei" (referenced in Ikesen's Second Prologue). His personal name is a bit unclear, but most texts usually refer to him by Toshimasu or Toshisada.

Ranmaru is "Ranhoushi", or sometimes just "Ran" for short. His personal name is Naritoshi.

Kennyo is... also just Kennyo. Monks go by their "ordained name". Kennyo's personal name is Kousa.

Hello!! Funny you come up with this concept because Cybird recently released that story sale "Forging her own path" which I think is supposed to be one where MC is a girl boss! I didn't buy though so idk if it's actually good 😅 This prompt is kinda cute though, I bet their reactions would be priceless!

Nobunaga:

It amuses him greatly that a woman is a warrior. He is slightly curious; she can be religious, fine, but what made her want to become a warrior as well?

He doesn't have a problem with people chasing their ambitions, but thinks that you're naive girl that just wants to play around and has never seen the battlefield before.

Doesn't blatantly show it, but slightly looks down on her until one of his soldiers gets in trouble with you because he took a pee on the corner of the temple grounds.

When he watches you beat his trained soldier with a broom stick with disciplined technique whilst reprimanding him, Nobunaga's eyes widened and he has newfound respect for you. Cue the love story of an ambitious man falling in love with quirky yet strong warrior monk.

Kennyo:

Absolutely not!! You and Kennyo are childhood friends, with him being a few years older than you, and he feels like he needs to protect you as an older brother (or maybe something more? 😉). So watching you swing around a sword, spear or whatever you can get your hands on almost gives him a heart attack.

He keeps questioning where he went wrong with his teachings; you used to be a quiet, good girl who would never even think of hurting a fly. Little does he realise how much you changed just to help him fight for his cause.

At every chance possible, he discourages you from becoming a warrior monk, but you're stubborn and insist on training and sweating with the other warriors.

But there is nothing Kennyo can do but respect your wishes as your skills and charisma slowly elevate you to a commander and his men are bowing their heads to you.

Kenshin:

Absolutely NOT 2.0. Women should NOT be on the battlefield, they need to be protected, safe, cared for and out of harms way.

It completely goes against his ideals and Kenshin can't stand it. He initially feels disgusted when the warrior monks introduce a woman as their leader.

And yet, he is slightly curious as to why all these men are choosing to follow you and choosing to bow their heads to you. You can sense this, so you confidently offer him a sparring session. He refuses to spar you, but when one of his underlings is brave (or, actually, foolish) enough to accept your challenge Kenshin watches as you disarm his solider and send him straight onto his bottom!

Okay, most women shouldn't be on the battlefield, but this one is a special case... Kenshin ignores the loud thumping in his chest.

Yukimura:

He first sees you training, shouting along with the other monks as you swipe your deadly weapon in a trained, fatal curve. You look tough... almost like a boar.

Boar woman, Boar woman, Boar woman, Boar woman, Boar woman.

It slips out of his mouth, earning him a smack on the head from the butt of your spear, a glare and an angry huff. Yukimura's heart strangely flutters under your direct, fearless gaze then.

But he also notices the little cuts and bruises on your hand from tough training. Wanting to get a little closer to you, he stops by your room later to pass you some salve and bandages, ones he keeps on handy for his own training. Not that he cares if you use or not though!!! >//_//<

Shingen:

WOW, you go girl. Being a warrior monk doesn't make you any less of a goddess to him. You're still beautiful even with a sword in your hand. In fact, he'd argue that you're most beautiful when you're training, focused and sweating.

Shingen invites you for dates at local tea houses, sends you sweets and flowers but is amused when you reject all of them and head to training instead.

Okay, okay, fine, no dates, no sweets, no flowers. Shingen wakes up early in the morning to give you some company. He babbles away whilst you train, which gives you some entertainment, but sometimes you scold him for distracting you.

Eventually, you warm up to him. His stories are interesting and it makes you put down your saber to listen to them at times. When Shingen offers to tell you more stories at a tea house after training, you finally accept. It becomes routine for the two of you - morning training followed by breakfast with Shingen's intriguing stories. Lads, take notes.

Pairing: Yukimura Sanada x MC (Mai) Summary: Mai seeks out Yukimura's help for something that she feels only he can help with - tricking Shingen.

“What do you mean, ‘Yukimura, I need you to pretend to be my fake lover to get Shingen to take a hint.’?” Yukimura and Mai were enjoying some late afternoon tea in his room, when Mai had proposed this idea to him rather nonchalantly. “Are you crazy? He can read me like an open book. He also knows I’d never date an ugly boar woman like you.”

Mai huffed, blowing air out of her hair, making her bangs fly up and lay askew on her forehead. “Don’t say it like that Yuki! Learn some tact, wouldya?”

“Oh shaddup Mai,” Yuki said, gesturing at her with his full teacup. “You know it’s true!”

“It isn’t true and I’m not a boar woman!” Mai argued, her brow furrowing in frustration. “I happen to be a very graceful woman. Like… like a swan!”

Yuki snorted into his teacup. “Yeah, that works.” He leaned in closer, glancing at her neck. “You do have an abnormally long and curvy neck.”

Mai’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment, the way they always do when she gets into a heated argument with Yukimura. He always found a way to get under her skin, and she usually finds herself wondering just why she chooses to spend so much time with him when he’s back in Kasaguyama. This time was no different.

“Yukimura, I’m serious! Shingen won’t leave me alone. He’s constantly calling me a princess, or a goddess, or his angel. I want him to stop!” Mai slammed down her teacup a little too hard, forcing the table to wobble more than Yukimura would’ve liked. “He’s all bark and no bite. Just smile nicely and move on.”

She looked at him with wide eyes, almost panicked - like a deer in headlights. “But he has tried to bite me! Quite recently, might I add.”

“He’s old, probably turning senile too.” Yuki responded, reaching for more hot water to warm his tea that had turned cold. “And shouldn’t we do everything we can to make sure grandpa’s are happy in their old ages?” There was a hint of sadness in Yuki’s eyes as he looked intently at the floor, and Mai dropped whatever retort she had as Shingen brazenly waltzed into Yukimura’s room, pausing only slightly when he noticed Mai sitting nonchalantly on his friend’s floor. “Well, well, well. What do we have here? Yuuuuki, you didn’t mention anything about having any female visitors this afternoon.”

Shingen’s shark-like, suave grin had Mai rolling her eyes, biting her lip so as not to snap back at Shingen. She was in Yukimura’s room, and they were good friends so she wouldn’t disrespect Yuki like that, as much as she wished she could. So, Yukimura’s response to Shingen had Mai, whipping her head up to stare wide eyed at her friend. “Please don’t disrespect Mai like that again, Shingen. The woman I love is more than just a female visitor, maybe you were mistaking me for you?”

Shingen faltered slightly, his grin slipping for a moment before returning. “The woman you love, eh?” He questioned, bringing his hand up to rub at his chin. “And don’t think I didn’t hear you insult me. I’m just in a particularly good mood today and will let it slide.” His gaze fixed on Mai now. “Mai, you didn’t tell me that you and Yuki had this… relationship. No wonder you never took me up on any of my nightly invitations.”

Before Mai could lose her courage, she shoved her hand into Yuki’s, gripping his calloused hand in her own sweaty one. “Yup! I couldn’t betray my Yukimura like that. Sorry Shingen, I should’ve been more honest. My sweetie pie is just very shy, as I’m sure you know well. Right Yuki?”

“Hey! I’m not your–” He cut himself off as Mai dug her nails harshly into her skin, shooting daggers at her before plastering the fakest smile on his face she had ever seen. “You’re right, boo bear. I was a bit embarrassed to admit my feelings for Mai to you, Shingen. That’s why I asked Mai to not mention anything. We’ve been meeting late at night every night, but today I couldn’t bear to wait any longer to see her, so I asked her to meet me for some afternoon tea.”

“I see,” Shingen nodded, eying their tightly clenched hands. “It seems as if I’ve interrupted something, so I’ll leave you two lovebirds to it. Yuki, you know where to find me if you need any tips or suggestions on how to keep a woman happy.” “Goodbye, Shingen.” Yukimura dismissed his elder, his eyes not once leaving Mai’s face as his grip on her hand loosened into a gentle hold.

“Goodbye, you two.” Shingen turned away, and as he exited the doorway, he called over his shoulder. “By the way, if you want anyone to actually believe you two are in love, you better start working on your acting.”

Shingen’s laughter could be heard from down the hall, and Yukimura hastily jerked his hand away from Mai’s rubbing it on his kimono. “Your hand was so sweaty! It was gross!”

Mai recoiled, shoving her finger in his face to point at him. “Yeah well, we wouldn’t have had to hold hands if you didn’t decide to pretend to be in a relationship with me!”

“You asked me to, woman!” Yukimura swiped Mai’s hand away from his face, capturing her hand in his once again, and clumsily interlocking them. “And this is how you hold hands! Not whatever you tried to do before!”

“Why are you always so critical of me?!” Mai asked moving to stand up and rip her hand out of Yukimura’s. He didn’t let go though, instead opting to use their linked hands to tug her back down, tumbling into his lap.

“Because you’re a boar woman, and someone’s gotta keep you in check.” Yukimura’s voice was deeper now, his lips brushing against the shell of her ear. “Plus, you seem to like it. Always asking to spend time with me.”

“I–” Mai faltered, turning to meet Yuki’s gaze, not realizing just how close he had gotten. “You’re just sometimes more tolerable than the rest, is all.” Yukimura squeezed her hand, and a surge of electricity shot through her body. “If I’m tolerable, you should reevaluate your taste in company. Sounds like we need to get you more air.” “Hey Yuki,” Mai muttered, their noses so close they were almost touching.

“Yeah?” He whispered back, his eyes searching her own for any sort of clue as to what she was gonna say next. “Shut up!” She exclaimed and shot up from his lap, escaping from his grip as giggles bubbled from her lips while he scrambled to chase after her, muttering under his breath that he was gonna get her when she least expected it.

On the other side of the wall, unbeknownst to Yukimura and Mai, Shingen and Sasuke stood shoulder to shoulder, exchanging knowing looks as they heard their two friends’ laughter ringing through the hallways of the otherwise quiet castle.

8. What would they get you for your birthday, if anything?

Oh I love this one, especially because my birthday was just a few days ago!!!

Hmmm…. its canon that Kenshin goes full on sugar daddy while buying stuff for us/mc, so I’m guessing that whatever he chooses to get, he’d make it extravagant as HELL. Be it gifts, celebration or anything else.

On the other hand, he would also want to be the only person who gets to spend time with us on our bday (also canon lmao), so he’d probably take us out somewhere where it’s only the two of us and we can spend quality time together without any interruptions. I can also see a certain flower field being involved (✿ ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

7. Who would win in a dance-off?

Yukiiiiiiii !!!

He would definitely be awkward at first but once he gets used to it, he’d be busting moves left and right! This might especially be the case if he is drunk.

But I think Sasuke can also pull it off though. I have this scenario in my head which I would like to be able to draw some day, where Sasuke and my oc (Kenshin’s mc) randomly break into dance while hanging out, maybe to something like toca toca , and in the distance, a very confused Kenshin and Yuki just stare off, wondering why they always keep landing such weirdos (They love their weirdos tho)

8. Who would be the better singer?

Okay, hear me out! I know this might sound weird, but I’m gonna say Sasuke.

For all his monotone reputation, I imagine he’d actually be a very good singer, unsuspecting and might surprise everyone, even his own mc (much like what we experienced with Kanetsugu).

A few years into the future, he’d probably love to sing his kids to sleep at night, although he might still do it with a straight face XD

10. They swap bodies for 24 hours! How badly do they mess up (or improve) each others’ lives?

Oh boy...This would be a true nightmare for all the residents of Kasugayama. It wouldn’t take long for everyone in the castle to become aware that something is deeply wrong with both their lords. The vassals would be stunned and low-key afraid when Shingen beats all of their asses during training mercilessly . And can you imagine the surprise/horror that Yuki and Sasuke would be in for when their dear, beloved lord Shingen chases them around the castle with a sword because he is bored ?

The most unfortunate of the bunch though, would be the women at Kasugayama. I don’t know what would terrify them more- them running into ‘Shingen’ expecting him to greet them with his usual sunbeamy smile and flirtatious words but instead he dismisses them with an intimidating glare as sharp as a knife OR when the God of War - Uesugi Kenshin, who is known for hating women, suddenly starts referring to them as ‘Goddesses’ and ‘Angels’ and other honeyed words with a smile as blinding as the sun. Rip them lol

I have nail polish that changes color when my hands are cold and I'm realizing how cute it would be for someone to notice my hands are cold and hold them except it's in the 90's right now and I'm so very lonely, so let's just imagine

Notices the change in color, asks about it, then uses it every chance they get:

Shingen: makes it his mission to keep your hands on the warm color, claims he sees the color starting so subtly change when in fact it is not changing. Big fan of kissing the nails to change their color, eye contact prederable.

Mistuhide: obviously anything he knows can and will be used against you there will be teasing, but he actually likes the descretness of it too. You don't have to ask him to warm your hands and he doesn't have to ask if your hands are cold.

Masamune: thinks it's very cool, would rather you ask, but he won't complain about an excuse to hold your hand and I do men excuse. Regardless of what color your nails are he will definitly hold you hand and say they were changing color when called on being handsy

Hideyoshi: loves that there is a visual indicator for (what he believes is) one of your needs. Doesn't just hold your hands he takes both of them in his and blows on them gently. It's so sweet your get a toothache

Notices, but is mostly just intrigued on how it works, you have to tell them they were supposed to hold your hand:

Sasuke: wants to know the chemical reaction causing the change. Compliments the colors. Once told his role he gives a salute and dutifully keeps your hands warm when they are not.

Nobunaga: gets two bowls on with warm water the other with cool. Spends some time testing them between each bowl until they both reach ambient temperature. Puffs up with pride when you tell him he's supposed to hold your hand when the color indicates cool. Oh, yes that he can do.

Yoshimoto: inspects them very closely, wants the same color. (He would be a nail art lover for sure) ((to be honest I don't know his character that well I just know this is so far up his ally its in his kitchen))

Doesn't notice, you have to tell them, tells you that you should just say when your hands are cold (pays attention anyway):

Yukimura: everything is witchcraft with this boy. You should just tell him he isn't always going to notice something like cosmetics, always seems to notice. Likes having non romantic excuse to hold your hands. Will also hold both you hands in his and blow on them.

Kenshin: how foolish, if your hands are cold just tell him. What if he hadn't noticed, and your fingers fell off, no he's not being dramatic, its slightly chilly. He's a fingertip kisser prove me wrong.

Mitsunari: very oblivious, but as soon as he knows he checks about every time he sees you. Likes to hols a hand while he reads, occasionally bringing your hand up for a kiss. Helps him stay grounded in reality so that he remembers to drink water. It's hard to be cold around a pocket of sunshine

Iyasu: if your cold you should say something he doesn't have time to play color swap guessing games. Constantly sneaking a look at your nails. Holds your hands under his chin to warm them, no he's not being sweet, that's just the fastest way because of bloodflow, it's medicine, no he's no blushing.

Hope you are having a great day! Okay this request might be different than usual. What will be the warlords reaction if they have a adult son/children that like to prank them when they are older? Who is gonna laugh at it and who is gonna be unimpressed like "I give you 5 seconds to run" reaction?

The warlords’ children pranking them.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

At first Nobunaga will react like the second option, glare at the children for the prank. Though it’s not because he is angry, more like he doesn’t get it.

He will do pranks back secretly and laugh at them, getting pay back at them.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi will pull on their ears, scolding them for pulling pranks when he is so busy. But he will begin to feel bad since the children were only having fun and will play with them.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

He will just smirk at the children, more harmless pranks will make him chuckle and commend the children for the creativity. But sometimes he will just smile eerily and prank them back when they least expect it.

Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Ieyasu is the kind of parent that would get very annoyed and glare, scold the children for interrupting his work. But he will feel bad if the children cry and will comfort them.

Mitsunari Ishida.

Prank? Mitsunari won’t even realize he is being pranked, he will just want to play along with his children without noticing it.

Masamune Date.

Masamune will have a good laugh, encouraging his children to make more fun and creative pranks. He might even join them to pull pranks on others.

Keiji.

Keiji is a bit tricky, sometimes he will find the prank fun and not get mad at all, but there will be times where he will be annoyed and will tell them to quit it. He wouldn’t be angry though.

Ranmaru Mori.

Ranmaru would find the children adorable for trying to prank him, so he would pretend to fall for them. Naturally he would already know because of his ninja skills.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

Just like he is towards MC, kenshin is very protective and loving towards his children, so he hardly would get mad at them. But he would find it inconvenient sometimes. Kenshin would surprisingly not be too harsh with them.

Shingen Takeda.

He will know that his children are planning something, so shingen will prepare himself to act like he didn’t know anything. When he gets pranked, shingen will act a bit dramatically, which will make his children laughing, exactly like he was expecting.

Yukimura Sanada.

Yukimura is a fun parent to prank, he will have the funniest reactions to the pranks his children pull and will nag at them as they flee. Even when he gets to scold them he looks funny.

Yoshimoto Imagawa.

Yoshimoto isn’t very fond of certain pranks, and he will try nagging his children for it, though he will lack a bit of energy. It will be more annoyance rather than anger.

Sasuke.

Sasuke will know immediately if his children are planning to prank him and will begin to plan in his head many strategies on how to avoid it with his ninja skills, but in the end he will fail and will be caught in the prank.

Kanetsugu.

One look from him and the children will already begin apologizing while bowing, he will not be pleased with pranks. Though he will feel bad for being too harsh and will pat them to calm them down.

Lone forces.

Kennyo.

Kennyo will be confused, he is the kind of parent who will scold his children if they try pranking him with life lessons, but he won’t have the heart to be harsh on them.

Motonari Mouri.

Just for pulling a prank on him they are getting light hits on the head, Motonari will scold his children for the pranks.

Kichou

Kichou is also the kind of parent that, with just one look, manages to make his children regret pranking him. He wouldn’t go hard on the scolding, but he certainly wouldn’t be amused.

Loved the "Warlords Watching Teletubbies". May I ask (if you're not to busy) ask for something similar like the Warlords watching "Sesame Street"? I so think that Ieyasu reminds me of Oscar the Grouch (lol), Mitsunari of Big Bird, and Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi as Ernie and Bert.

Sorry Anon about taking so long! I’ve had a busy busy winter. And um, this sort of turned into Ikesen Warlords AS Toddlers Watching Sesame Street…

Due to a Massive Wormhole Event (MWE), MC is suddenly dealing with the influx of toddler warlords (plus a tween Kennyo) in a tiny, tiny apartment. And truly, this apartment is not big enough for all of them… would never be big enough, especially since…. “Kenshin stop swinging that sword around, NOW,” and “Shingen get OUT of my chocolate stash!” ….

At her wits end… MC does what all parents since the last quarter of the 20th century have done to entertain the children: she turns on the television (and then goes into her room to read hide).

The following is what she hears through the closed door…

The sound of Keiji and Ranmaru singing the theme song to Sesame Street.

Hideyoshi: Shhhhhh! MC told us to watch this! Shhhh! I can’t watch with you singing so loud!

Nobunaga: MC! I can’t find Bearsace! He has to watch this with me.

Kenshin: MC? Are there any rabbits in this?

Masamune: Hey! Ieyasu! That orange thing that lives in the garbage can is just like you! I’mma gonna start callin’ you Oscar, ok?

The sound of Keiji and Ranmaru singing the theme song again.

Hideyoshi: Shhhhhh! Stop singing. You’re going to bother MC! SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Shingen: Kennyo? Are you sleeping?

Kennyo: I am meditating. I am meditating. I am meditating. Zzzzz.

Ieyasu: MC! I left my sourdough starter in the Sengoku! How many days is it until we go home?

Sasuke: You have a sourdough starter? Tell me more! How do you make it? What do you like about it? What did you name it?

Kenshin: Sasuke! Are you paying attention to someone who is not me?

Kanetsugu: Sasuke! Are you paying attention to someone who is not Kenshin?

Shingen: MC. What is a cookie?

Sasuke: It’s a sweet pastry with cho-

Nobunaga AND Shingen: MC, where are your COOKIES?

Hideyoshi: We’re not supposed to eat sugar. Nobunaga, GET AWAY FROM THE COOKIE JAR!

Yukimura: Shingen, you too! Also. GET AWAY FROM NOBUNAGA.

Mitsunari: I don’t understand why no one else can see the Snuffleupagus. He’s right there?

Ieyasu: Where? All I see is the giant yellow bird.

Hideyoshi: Osc- er, Ieyasu! Don’t tease Mitsunari!

Shingen: NOBUNAGA DID YOU TAKE THE LAST COOKIE?

Nobunaga: *crunch* *crunch* No. *crunch* *crunch*

Mitsunari: (in the same accent as The Count) One. Two. Three. Four.

Masamune: Yip yip yip yip yip yip yip….

Kenshin: If they can make rubber DUCKIES why not RUBBER BUNNIES?

Masamune: Yip yip yip yip yip yip yip….Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

Motonari: MC! They keep touching me!

Yoshimoto: MC, CAN I play with your MAKE UP?

Masamune: Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

The sound of Keiji and Ranmaru singing the theme song again.

The sound of Mitsunari singing the theme song too.

Hideyoshi: Mitsunari….. whyyyyyyy?

Mitsunari: It is stuck in my head. I don’t know how to get rid of it.

Keiji: That HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. You just have to sing it more.

Mitsunari: Ok.

The sound of Keiji and Ranmaru AND Mitsunari singing the theme song again.

Motonari: If anybody sings again, I WILL SET YOU ON FIRE.

Yukimura: What happened?

Kanetsugu: The remote stopped working.

Nobunaga: Who unplugged the TV? Kicho!

Kenshin: PLUG THE TV BACK IN. THERE MIGHT BE BUNNIES STUCK IN IT. PLUG IT BACK IN!

Kicho: Make me! OOF! GET OFF ME!

*Click*

The TV sound returns now EXTRA LOUD.

At this point… MC has ominous realization that the one voice she hasn’t heard is Mitsuhide’s. In a panic, she comes running out of the bedroom, to discover that Yoshimoto has done a makeover on the sleeping Kennyo, Mitsunari (still singing) and Shingen have taken apart the toaster, and Mitsuhide…. is nowhere to be found.

From somewhere outside… not too far away… is the sound of a siren.
