#but if you post an audio clip or song link then it's like
Text
i wish there was a way to put the way part of a song sounds as an image(but not an image) for a profile picture or something so that it translates to everybody's mind as that sound as if they're actually listening to it but without actually listening to it. like how you look at an image but sound instead. but not sound. no audio. but it's in your mind the same way an image is in mind when you see it. instantly. if you could see sound. but not like written music or anything. is any of this making sense or no

julien baker live lyric changes masterpost
the many ways that julien changes her lyrics over time and seamlessly alters the lyrics and meanings of her songs to maintain a level of personal authenticity has become so fascinating to me and many others so i thought it'd be nice to do some research and compile as many as i can. enjoy! or cry! whichever!
the original lyrics are in parenthesis, changes are bolded, roughly in chronological order and i’ve added timestamped links to performances [x] where i can! i use mostly youtube because it's the most accessible. some of these seem to be permanent changes and others are just occasional, probably depending on how she's vibing with the song at the time (i'm assuming). let me know of any i’ve missed!
Rejoice: [x] [x] [x] pronoun change, does this lots! "i know there's a god and they hear either way" ("i think there's a god and he hears either way") [x] she uses the 'she' pronoun here this time! [x] she sings 'force' here and also in a version she performed pre-release "asking why did you let them leave and then force me to stay?" ("asking why did you let them leave and then make me stay?")
Good News: [x] [x] [x] these are not full lyric changes but rather some gut-wrenching repetition. side note she performs a cover of paul by big thief in the first clip here too! "it's less about you / it's all about how i ruin everything oh everything i do / everything i do / god i ruin everything oh everything / oh everything i think could be good news." ("it's less about you / it's more about how i ruin everything--- i think could be good news")
Distant Solar Systems: [x] pronoun change speaking of god, she also omits the second last verse. "I send postcards from the road and now and then she answers" ("and now and then he answers")
Turn Out the Lights: [x] [x] [x] this one hurts! a few times in late '18 and in '19 "maybe i'd do it but it's not a joke" ("i'd never do it but it's not a joke")
Sour Breath: [x] [x] another one that hurts!! "think all the liquors gonna keep me warm / burn everything down just to prove i could / leave you inside a body made of wood" ("think all the liquors gonna keep you warm / burn everything down just to prove you could / leave me inside a body made of wood") [x] audio only from 1:16 (same changes as above +) "i don't do too well when everyone's worried about me" ("i don't do too well when nobody's worried about me")
Appointments: [x] [x] [x] in lots of performances post-2018. she switches between using 'know' and 'think' occasionally “i know that i ruined this / but i think i can live with it / nothing turned out how pictured it ... i think that i failed again / but i know you’re still listening” ("i think if i ruin this / that i know i can live with it / nothing turns out like I pictured it ... i think if i fail again / then i know you’re still listening") [x] audio only - from 2:45 (same changes as above +) "i hope you're still listening" ("i know you're still listening")
Happy to Be Here: [x] tiny changes. not sure if she's done this more than once "different me would be inhabiting my body / have two cars, a garage, a dog..." ("different me would be inhabiting this body / have two cars, a garage, a job...")
Something: [x] [x] [x] [x] (she adds 'again' a lot, even since 2015) “asking aloud why you’re leaving again” (“asking aloud why you’re leaving--”) [x] (this was prior to release) "asking aloud why you're leaving again / i know you won't answer me" ("asking aloud why you're leaving --- / but the pavement won't answer me")
Red Door: [x] "beneath before you won't follow me down" ("beneath before you wont follow me there")
Shadowboxing: [x] [x audio only - from 3:09] "tell me that you love me / tell me you love me / i wanted so bad to believe you / so tell me you loved me / tell me you loved me / i wanted so bad to believe you" ) ("when you tell me you love me / tell me you loved me / i wanted so bad to believe it / so tell me you love me / tell me you loved me")
Ziptie: [x] [x] [x] [x] (side note the end of the second clip rules!!) “someone’s/somethings got my heart in a ziptie” (“someone’s got my head in a ziptie”)
Tokyo: [x] [x] [x audio only - from 1:30] in a few performances in 2022 “a seven-car pile-up of every disastrous thing that i am" (“a seven-car pile-up of every disastrous thing that i’ve been”) + also sings "accident" instead of "aftermath" in the audio clip
Relative Fiction: [x] [x] [x] [x] does this lots! "honey you're the only thing i'll wait around for" ("--you’re the only thing i’ll wait around for")
Highlight Reel: [x] [x audio only from 1:45 ] original chorus lyrics are 'you feel' but now in one chorus she sings 'to' and the other she sings 'you' "ooh it's a highlight reel / tell me how to feel" ("ooh it's a highlight reel / tell me how you feel")
Ringside: [x] [x] [x audio only from 3:50] two separate lyrics changes in these clips! "like a scratch-off ticket how i dig my nails into your skin" ("like a scratch-off ticket how you dig your nails into my skin")
(from final verse) “nobody deserves a second chance / so why do i keep getting them?” (“nobody deserves a second chance / but i keep giving them”) [x] [x] (from the second last verse) “nobody deserves a second chance / but somehow i keep fucking getting them” (“nobody deserves a second chance / but honey i keep getting them") Anti-Curse: [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] she doesn't always change 'foreign characters' "writing the words to the best love song you've ever heard" ...“sounding out familiar characters” ("writing the words to the worst love song you've ever heard"...“sounding out the foreign characters”)
Favor: [x] [x] [x] [x] first change - changing to 'why?' in most live performances “why couldn’t you make me do it?” (“well you couldn’t make me do it”) [x] [x] new change from MSG in 2023! “how did you make me do it?” (“well you couldn’t make me do it”)
HONOURABLE MENTIONS:
Funeral Pyre: [x] this is just a funny thing i found on my hunt. the audience accidentally corrected her grammar, theyre singing along and sing "needed so badly" instead of the original "needed so bad" and everyone took a lil' moment to laugh. Funeral Pyre: allegedly. i just read about it somewhere so have no proof!! “while i drank gasoline 'cause it's what i needed so bad” (“while you drank gasoline 'cause it's what you needed so bad”) Shadowboxing: [x] she doesn't really change any lyrics significantly but repeats the final verse for emphasis.
Good News: [x] (i think an early/demo version but i cant find any other recordings/videos of this version!) "how i fuck up everything i think could be good news" ("how i ruin everything i think could be good news") Rejoice: [x] house show performance from 2015 before official release. a few different lyrics! "ask you why did you let them leave and then force me to stay?" ("asking why did you let them leave and then make me stay?") (final verse) "i rejoice anyway / i rejoice either way" ("i rejoice i rejoice / i rejoice i rejoice") Sour Breath: [x] she added a new mini verse repeating "the harder i swim" where there are usually just instrumentals or 'oohs.' then she continued with the original final "the harder i swim the faster i sink" verse.
Sour Breath: [x] house show performance from 2015 before official release. there's an entire additional verse where the repeated 'the harder i swim the fast i sink' usually is. proceed with caution. "...too late to talk just go to sleep been up too long and you've been drinkin' all night it's almost a week and you haven't said a word been thinkin' it isn't worth the tryin' it takes to fix everything you hate about me all that you wouldn't wanna see
the harder i swim, the faster i sink and all i ever wanted was to pull you down with me was to pull you down with me don't you wanna sink with me? don't you wanna drown with me? just let me pull you down..."

I make video essays (not frequently but I'm trying to get back into it) and I have wondered about blind accessibility before but I haven't really found much information that isn't VERY general. Do you have any resources or tips? Because frankly, the reason I make video essays and not say podcasts or just blog posts about these topics is because it is both an audio and visual medium. I can show graphs for things, play clips of movies or songs, etc. and I use captions but when I search for how to make it accessible for the blind all the information I find isn't that applicable to content that's as, dynamic I guess. Like the most common things I see are "identify who's speaking" or "read out text" (which I generally do) but what about clips from other media, graphs, things like that? Especially if im talking about a visual topic like set design or something.
n.b. I'm not blind or low-vision & I'm just brainstorming here.
image descriptions & accessibility aren't quite one-size-fits-all, because thoroughness always comes at the expense of time. you have to ask yourself what information you're trying to communicate with an image or clip. if the entire video is an analysis of a visual artwork, for example, you'd want to describe the image in enough detail that people could not only understand your analysis, but also come to their own analytical conclusions. if, on the other hand, you're just pasting in a line graph to compare two of the numbers in it as a smaller part of a larger point, it's not necessary or worth it to state every value of every variable at every point in time on the graph... just give an idea of the trend you're referring to.
some thoughts:
Any image description is better than no description. Briefly describe something rather than allow the thought of describing it thoroughly to overwhelm you such that you end up doing nothing.
Relatedly: don't think of things in terms of "is the exact same amount and type of information available to sighted and blind people watching this," but rather, "without the visual component, does this basically make sense / can I basically follow the main point?"
What this means is that at no point should there be information that is solely visual in nature, like my example of several seconds of silence where you can only assume that there's probably text on the screen but have no idea what that text says and whether it's a clarification, disclaimer, or even a retraction. It would be best to read this text out, but I've also seen a "text on screen" section in the description box of a video that gives the text in full and the time stamps at which the text appears.
Briefly state what it is about a clip or graph you're inserting that makes it useful for your point. Rather than "and you can see the results of that decision here *a few frames of a graph*," say "and you can see the results of that decision in the sharp downward turn in profits starting in 2009 *a few frames of the graph*." If it's available, link the source of a graph or chart in the description box—it may have alt text or be screenreader accessible at the source website.
Inserting a brief image description into the script after introducing e.g. a photo of a set should be feasible enough, but I also think it's possible to fold the image description into the analysis. This just means making sure that there's never a visual component with no audio equivalent—rather than saying "the stuff that's going on back here *circle part of the screen* has a haunting effect," say "the fact that the furniture in the background is jumbled, worn down, and uncomfortable-looking has a haunting effect." I think explicitly pointing out what about a scene you're responding to is just part of good analysis anyway!
Introduce a clip with a rundown of who's speaking in it and what's going on ("you can see [main point] in this clip, in which Elizabeth confronts Darcy about his meddling in Bingley's affairs"). Play the clip, and then describe anything else about it that's relevant to your analysis ("the fact that she's sitting while he paces back and forth indexes the relationship between gender and space in the film" or whatever). Again, this is just good analysis.
If there's something really central that would take a long time to describe, you could use the description box to image describe it (the same way you would write any other image description) and give a timestamp, and say something like "image description in the box below" when you reach that part of the video.
Sometimes at poetry readings, conferences &c. I've seen people give a description of their appearance, what they're wearing &c. before they begin speaking. I'm not sure how necessary this is—probably some blind people find it interesting and others think it's a waste of time, lmao

I was recently playing Knock-Knock through again after not having played it for several years, and one of the things that stood out to me was this song that played on the radio:
(Excuse the screen recording, I can’t upload audio not from Spotify on mobile)
And it stopped me in my tracks because it sounded so different and out of place, I suppose, and then I wanted to find the source of the song, but upon googling the lyrics I found nothing… so I forgot about it. Until tonight. And I’m 99% sure that I found the source of the song
I wanted to see how far I could get just by Shazamming the song, and this was actually the best lead I got
Tumblr media
Shazam brought up a band called People Like Us, and so I tried to look the song up on Spotify but couldn’t find it… however, after sifting through all the Kelly clarkson stuff, I did manage to find a band on Spotify called People Like Us:
Tumblr media
Upon listening to their audio, I found that the style of music sounded similar to the in-game one. Well, I researched the band a bit more, and found that the person behind it is called Vicki Bennett. I still couldn’t find any song by Bennett or People Like Us called People Like You though… :(
But I felt like I was close, so I decided to do something that I should’ve done at the beginning: I looked up Knock-Knock’s credits, searched Bennett’s name, and sure enough
Tumblr media
Unless this is some grand coincidence and People Like Us produced a different audio for Knock-Knock, I think they can be credited for that audio clip that amazed me so much :D
My outreach isn’t too big here, but if you’re inclined to support People Like Us after reading this, I will include their Indiegogo link in a comment, since Tumblr isn’t letting me paste it in this post 🥲

Hey Gina! Hoping you can help me out. This clip was recently posted of a supposed leaked snippet from Muse, a song that was apparently registered for 1D and written by Louis and Liam. From my understanding, we received “leaked lyrics” a few years back, and now this snippet seems to match.
But I haven’t seen anybody talking about this. Not sure if it’s legit or ai or something else? The sound only has six videos, and nobody is saying anything in the comments where the clip came from. Just curious if you know anything about it!

YouTube link for those without TikTok: https://youtube.com/shorts/rV1w2pwCz-8?si=r0Km4vxz2d4AM3NX
Hi, love. I actually answered a question about this yesterday. IMO, this sounds completely fake. Even when the boys were very young they didn’t write such trite, obvious lyrics. It just strikes me as someone trying very hard to link this song to Larry and Two Ghosts and it’s just far too on the nose. The audio sounds like some generic boyband sound to me. Probably AI.
I think no one is really talking about it because it’s likely not real.

Those JM and JK being ‘subtle’ moments - Part 7
Part 7 of maybe (?) more to come that is.
Or...
A page from JM and JK’s book of “How do we do the couple in the group without others noticing it (or so they thought)”.
cr./to the owners of the media in this post.
Pss...don’t tell anyone, but this one is going to be on the shorter side.
Ok, so last time I addressed their sus selfies, and this time let’s address a few moments they created/decided to share with us,
The photos we discussed, now let’s talk about the posts, clips, creations.
We’ll start with the moments they created and decided to upload themselves:
Own it.
Wtf was that?
True, those innocent army’s will see an innocent dance practice.  But was it really?
Just the two of them (JK is working the camera), in what looks like late at night, lights dimmed, them dancing to super elicit song and lyrics.  Oh, and dare I mention woody?
youtube
Do I also mention this clip was uploaded to BangtanTV most probably by the two of them on the night following the very famous Tokyo Vlive?
Same one we have Hobi teasing JM as he leaves him ‘alone’ with the camera.
Same one JM tells us how he was craving salty all while devouring what looks like a gyoza, looking behind the camera and giggling.
Same one JM talks about how hungry he is while stuffing a sausage in his mouth, again, looking behind the camera and giggling.
Tumblr media
Same night this specific clip was uploaded for all of us to see.
GCFT
JK’s masterpiece creation.
youtube
The one he was oh so proud of and oh so happy when he uploaded it for all of us to see.
Many choices were made, the actual footage used, the editing, the soundtrack.
As I’ve called it in the past, JK’s love ode to JM.
JK being JM’s toy
Like WHAT????
Really JM?
Why don’t you just tell the whole world, eh?
Tumblr media
And if you already mentioned it JM, what kind of toy are we talking about here???
Euphoria studio practice JK’s birthday
Cute clip.  And JM uploading it for JK’s birthday cute too.
But what were they doing, eh?
And why did he leave the smacking lips sound?  Did JM not hear of editing?  Or, option 2, did he not listen to the clip prior to uploading it?
Tumblr media
Link
And the post itself...
Tumblr media
Translated into:
Tumblr media
Now, of course it could just be us jumping to conclusions with the sound effects, and still, the playfulness, so couplie.  And JM deciding to post is a little questionable to me.
Next up, moments they created and that were decided to share, not always clear who the decision maker was nor the reasoning behind:
JM letting us know JK likes to kiss... a happy JM indeed.
Tumblr media
How JK has changed... Used to just hear JM say the word kiss and go running to the hills (nah, just a little exaggeration here), lol.
But really, how attitudes do change...
Tumblr media
JK wants JM, ahm...
youtube
Can’t help but wonder how this one slipped by.  Yeah, I guess some could think JK is joking around, but his insistence, repeating himself time after time until JM has to stop him, telling him the audio isn’t good, lol.
JK and his buttocks fascination - again
Tumblr media
JK and his JM fancam
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know I said not selfies today, but this one I just have to share.  And I kind of think it falls within the loophole of not actually being a Jikook selfie.
JK’s hickey selfie
Tumblr media
Ok, so why in hell did JK post this one?
I get it, it was used as leverage against JM during their JinJikook live to stop him from leaving.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then why post it at the end?
What did JM do, or perhaps not do to bring this about?  Lol.
*Special thanks to @unlyshedstar for helping me find some of these moments to share with you.
To be continued?  You guys tell me.
But I do need your help.  Send me moments and ideas you would like to see in this series of posts.  You can leave them in the comments or DM me.

Early production deep-dive - Part 4: Web information
On the next annual upfront of the channel, hosted on March 19th 2003, Nick would announce the show once again, this time getting more attention, enough to prompt internet users to go fishing for more information.
On the Nicktoons Forum of the site Animesuperhero, one person returned with hot news after checking the crew’s personal sites.
“Title -  Danny Phantom/Crash Nebula/Kim Possible Artwork  have you guys seen this? http://www.silvertoons.com/silvertoons/portfolio.asp” (Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20210413012318/https://animesuperhero.com/forums/threads/danny-phantom-crash-nebula-kim-possible-artwork.3384331/)
“Title - Danny Phantom /Crash Nebula Theme Song i apologize if this has been posted but http://butchhartman.com/html/danny.htm and then http://butchhartman.com/html/crash.htm has the theme (im guessing) rolling in the background.” (Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20210413012313/https://animesuperhero.com/forums/threads/danny-phantom-theme-song.3407701/)
The first link led to Stephen Silver’s personal site, specifically, his ‘Portfolio’ section where he displayed several of his character designs for the shows he worked on, including Danny Phantom background characters, ghostly villains like Lunch Lady and Skulker, and of course, the main character himself. These were publicly shared as early as July 13th 2003, presumably even earlier.

[Image Description: Six images of the designs shown in Stephen Silver’s site, most are small and in low quality.
Image 1 - Screenshot of a site, the background is black and the title ‘Portfolio’ is on top in red letters. Underneath it are four rows of six images, with multiple character designs on each one, some with black backgrounds but most with white ones.
Image 2 - Two rows of three characters each. First row features ghost cowboys and the second row shows human cops.
Image 3 - Two rows of two characters each. First row shows the ghost Lunch Lady and a human chef. Second row features a human janitor and a human lunch lady, with a different design than the ghost Lunch Lady.
Image 4 - Two rows of two characters each. First row shows designs for the Technus/Skulker fusion armor and the second row shows a character in both human and non-human form.
Image 5 - Three rows of characters. First row shows one adult and three kids, the first two are background characters while the third one is presumably an early design Danny and the fourth is presumably an early design for Tucker. The second row has three human kids and the third row shows Danny twice in his Phantom form.
Image 6 - Two rows with one character each. The top row features Skulker, in an early design where his ghostly hair was orange instead of the usual green. The bottom row shows the design for a non-human character, most likely a ghost. /end ID]
The second link led to Butch Hartman’s site, which had sections for audio clips of his shows, where he had uploaded the original (first version) of the Danny Phantom theme song as early as July 4th 2003.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20030716013439/http://butchhartman.com/html/danny.htm)
[Image Description: Two images taken from the 2003 Butch Hartman website.
Image 1 - Screenshot of the site, the words ‘Butch Hartman’ are displayed in white on the top left, with seven circles with different images underneath, that each lead to a new section of the site. There’s a drawing of himself on the top right corner and the background of the whole site is a light green. The current section’s title ‘Danny Phantom’ is displayed in white colors, with the text ‘Coming Soon!‘ underneath. There’s an illustration of Danny on the left.
Image 2- An illustration of Danny in his Phantom form. He is wearing a black jumpsuit with white gloves, boots, collar, and a white stripe around his waist. He has white hair and green eyes. He is looking to the right with a serious face while standing on a flying blue machine. His hands are grabbing the handles, there’s a green button between them and the machine is releasing air below it. The background is purple. This is the same illustration of Danny on the left of the 2003 Butch Hartman website. /end ID]

Welcome Home Thoughts
This is mostly just for me to get my thoughts down somewhere, sorry if it's not coherent! Also spoilers below obviously!!
Okay, all 14 of the "answer" links in order seem to be a whole day (episode?) in the neighborhood. And they seem to be from Wally's point of view because you can see his hands in some of the clips and how he's mentioned at the end of every single one. This paired with Barnaby's reaction to Wally not talking/responding in the last clip makes me think Wally isn't in control or aware when these were "recorded", (at least not fully, seeing how he does seem to move in some of them). I can only assume he snaps out of it each time one of his friends says his name, thus cutting off the video, and he continues about his day until the next clip; otherwise I don't think it would have taken the whole day for the others to notice.
As for the "Doodle" audios, there's definitely a set order to them, but I'm not 100% sure if I found them all or not. I feel like I'm missing one. So far I think the order is as follows:
"i" "will" "help" "find" "a" "neighbor" "i-2" "will-2" "understand" "soon"
I'm not certain this is where "neighbor" goes in this order, because it feels so out of place in the middle of the conversation. It seems more fitting coming after "soon", but that would mean I'm missing an audio link in order for all of them to complete a full message. It's also possible the last 4 go first, seeing how Wally tells us how to draw an eye in "i-2" but then mentions how we know how to draw eyes in "a". But "i" sounds like the beginning of Wally talking to us, not to mention it would be really weird to have it follow right after "soon".
Spooky lore aside, It's so cool to learn more about how the characters act in "canon"! Some key points that stuck with me:
Frank is so autistic he got a whole song for it. Good for him
I completely forgot Julie can talk to flowers!
Eddie seems strangely distant from the rest of the neighbors? Like backtracking when he used Frank's first name to Mr. Frankly. Then everyone else calls him Mr. Darling or the mailman.
On the topic of Eddie, he's apparently super accident-prone and seems forgetful? In his toy phone audio, he says he forgot if the phone even rang and wonders if he was going to call someone instead.
Wally not understanding how anything works makes sense in the context of the show, he's basically how they get away with explaining things to the child viewers without actually breaking the fourth wall. That said I truly do believe he's this clueless, this little guy doesn't have a thought in his head. (at least while the show was still airing...)
I have a whole theory about what I think Wally truly is, but that's a whole different post. What I am fairly certain of though; I don't think Wally is Malevolent in any way. Whatever it is he's doing I don't think he has any negative intent towards us. At least not yet anyways.

hii sorry to be a bother but i could've sworn at some point you'd posted an audio clip of the band playing she's so heavy by the beatles in between songs live and i cannot for the life of me find it (thanks tumblr's nonfunctional search feature lol) - could u drop a link to that post if u get the chance? thank you so much for all the stuff you post, btw, it's such a delight and an invaluable resource for people like me who weren't around and in the trenches in the heydays of the 2000s lmao
I think this is the post you're talking about!
And then here are some video highlights of when Panic did their neat Beatles-inspired transition at a handful of shows in fall 2008 by using part of I Want You (She's So Heavy) to connect BIBIYD & IWSNT:
youtube
I loved this for SO many reasons, but I think my favorite aspect was how it reminded me of a fun season in late spring 2006. Panic added some interludes between their songs for their first headlining tour in April 2006 and then carried those into the May festivals (here's one example). Then they took that even further while they were preparing for their first national headlining tour that summer. Brendon, Spencer, and Ryan talked a lot about their love for Counting Crows during the Fever era and all of the different ways they were each influenced by them. Spencer would get so passionate while talking about how Counting Crows had transformed one single song into a lengthy live piece with transitions, and how that had inspired Panic to weave the first 4 songs of their summer headlining tour into one continuous piece with new interludes. I hoped Spencer had fun with the transition in the video above too :)

UPDATED POST WITH CORRECTED LINKS
and with the end of the trilogy (I’m sobbing about the ending of the trilogy) comes our final two songs of the musical -- Epilogue (Farewells) (Youtube / Spotify) and the Finale (Youtube / Spotify) Both are wonderful medleys of the songs we've heard in the musical thus far. You can also listen to some of the dialogue from the Farewell scene at this video here.
It's been a fantastic journey with everyone, and thank you for reading my posts on the lotr musical songs, which have remained some of my favorite musical numbers ever since I discovered the show in uni. As a special treat for anyone who's been following these posts, I'd like to a compilation the musical with anyone who's interested, with various clips, recordings, and audio put together by Lord of the Rings Fan on youtube (Links to Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3)
I do also have all three videos saved in a .zip file, since youtube is not permanent, so if for some reason any of the videos are no longer available, please let me know and I'll link you to the download.

Title: Wakka's Gourmet Race
Post date: 2009/1/19
length: 1:10
song: Gourmet Race
youtube
This time I review the video named Wakka's Gourmet Race, uploaded 19 Jan 2009. As the title shows, it focuses on Wakka. Come to think of it, the Wakka meme has spread rapidly over the past two or three years. It feels a bit strange for a character who isn't the protagonist of a game from over 20 years ago to suddenly receive such a strong spotlight, but I think it's a good thing considering the passion and attachment being poured into it. And, I also believe this reflects the magnitude of potential that FFX and Wakka possess. Now, let's begin.
About the song
This is a song used in the game "Kirby Super Deluxe." It's a fast-paced track that feels like it could be played at a sports event, which I think suits the sporty nature of Wakka. Consequently, it was enjoyable to synchronize clips with the music. The original song was short,so the audio was completed quickly. This song also became popular as a music video track at the time, and like "U.N. Owen was Tidus?", I referenced several music videos using these tracks. It's nostalgic to think back on those times. I would love to see a new music video using this song.
Features of this video
First of all, this video was actually made as the B-side of Native fayth, which I made around the same time. I often found myself stuck in the production of Native Fayth, so I made this video as a way to change my mood. Because of that, Wakka's Gourmet Race is not as meticulously as Native Fayth and I thought twice if I sould have uploaded it. In fact, shortly after posting, Wakka's Gourmet Race received hardly any comments or reactions, and there were times when I regretted posting it. But eventually, Wakka's Gourmet Race started to gain traction, becoming the most-viewed video on my channel.
For the audio, I mostly used lines by Wakka. Since Wakka speaks with a Hawaiian accent, I had a bit of trouble choosing the lines. Additionally, Wakka is an energetic character,  so naturally, many of his lines are delivered with high energy. I also included a few Japanese voice clips in this video. He says, "Wazukana jikan wo mitsukete," and at the time,  it had been customary to include this phrase.
Regarding the visuals, I kept the editing simple, with minimal effects added. I also incorporated battle scenes sporadically throughout, which I believe gives it a sense of dynamism. I made this video in just a day or two without dwelling too much on the details. For videos of this length, perhaps this approach  is the most effective.
My favorite scenes
Tumblr media
0:25~0:28 It is the only scene where lines other than Wakka's were used. "Calm down" matched well.
Tumblr media
0:30~0:33 Wakka shows somewhat comical motions even during battles.
Tumblr media
0:38~0:43 "Wazukana jikan wo mitsukete," means "Finding a little time,"
That's all for now. Thank you for visiting. See you next time.

GJ and ZZH Updates — April 23-29
<<< previous week || all posts || following week >>>
This is part of a weekly series collecting updates from and relating to Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan.
This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. My own biases on some things are reflected here. Anything I include that is not concretely known is indicated as such, and you’re welcome to do your own research and draw your own conclusions as you see fit. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or additions. :)
[Glossary of names and terms] [Masterlist of my posts about the situation with Zhang Zhehan]
04-23 → The Go Fighting! Weibo posted a short Q&A video with Gong Jun.
→ Madame Figaro posted a promotional video spoken by Gong Jun for their event on 04-26.
→ The Instagram posted five photos of “Zhang Zhehan”, and it was announced that due to the “popularity,” an additional concert for 05-10 had been scheduled. (If you read last week’s post prior to 04-24, please check under 04-22 for additional information that has been added.)
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted fifteen photos of him from the second Go Fighting! episode. Caption: “Full of laughter and energy... Come tonight to see the cool boss @ Gong Jun Simon explore non-stop!”
→ Episode 2 of Go Fighting! season 9 aired. [full episode (raw)] [GJ cut (raw)] [subbed clip]
→ Gong Jun posted a clip from the Go Fighting! episode. Caption: “My flow is not ordinary, my rhythm I like skr 🤟🏻”
04-24 → Gong Jun filmed another episode of Go Fighting!. (green jacket and puffy coat) Fan Observation: Possible ring sighting.
→ The Instagram posted a promotional video for the “concert”, using only old footage believed to be for the concert Zhang Zhehan was planning before 813, and only showing the date 05-10. Tickets for this date were only available for approximately ten minutes before “selling out,” then became available again. Some people who tried to purchase tickets recieved emails that the purchase could not be completed and a refund would be issued; others who tried to contact the venue for more information about this date did not recieve confirmation of the event or clear answers on other questions.
Around this time, whalers started to express concerns online of the “concert” possibly being cancelled because of “interference from CPFs and antis.”
04-25 → The Instagram posted a teaser video for a new song titled Datura that would release the following day, with the caption implying that it is the first song on another(???) new album. Fan Observations:  -  Datura is a plant that can be used as a hallucinogen. This combined with the trippy vibes of the video and Ranyi’s post about it mentioning spirituality has raised worries of new smears alleging drug use. There had been a hotsearch on Weibo about drugs the previous day.  -  Datura also has some Tibetan Buddhism connotations in China. This is not the first time the Zhang Sanjian shenanigans have made allusions to religion.   -  The person in the footage/photos released for the song looks nothing like Zhang Zhehan, especially around the jaw.   -  I think it’s safe to assume that any songs by this point are definitely audio deepfakes.
→ A photographer posted eight photos of Gong Jun from the 04-15 Tiffany & Co. event.
04-26 → Gong Jun filmed another episode of Go Fighting!. (pink Tang suit)
→ The Instagram posted the music video for Datura, and the song released on Apple Music, Spotify, and Youtube.
→ BesTV posted an extended cut of one of Gong Jun’s scenes from Go Fighting! episode 2.
→ 361° posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ A tour company that had been selling packages for the “concert” changed the tour name and deleted the package from their website. [further info] At this point over 700 tickets were still for sale for the 05-10 concert, at the time of this post that number has only dropped to approximately 680.
04-27 → The Go Fighting! Weibo account posted the preview for episode 3.
→ Gong Jun attended an event for Hogan. Fan Observation: During the interview segment for this, he said that he had attended Li Ronghao’s concert on 04-22 with former university classmates. [video clip] See 04-28 below for context.
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted ten photos of him from that day. Caption: “In a corner of the city looking out from the window, today boss @ Gong Jun Simon bids farewell to the ancient town and went to an appointment in a bustling place~”
Tumblr media
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted six photos of him from the Hogan event. Caption: “Boss @ Gong Jun Simon’s flash of a day! Immerse yourself in a modern space in a natural and comfortable form. See you next time!”
04-28 → Liaoning Satellite TV’s morning news ran a story about Gong Jun’s appearance at the Hogan event. [subbed video] Fan Observation: In the summary they gave about Gong Jun’s career they mentioned that he had risen to fame through a two male lead drama, though only clips from Begin Again and Lost Love in Times were used.
→ Gong Jun flew to South Korea for the Louis Vuitton event he would attend the following day.
→ #Gong Jun chasing star Li Ronghao# got on Weibo hotsearch despite it being almost a full week after he had attended Li Ronghao’s concert. It is suspected that the hotsearch was bought.  Context and Additional Info:    Starting at the beginning of the week, people began to spread videos and a photo of Gong Jun and the people he had attended the concert with, questioning if the man sitting beside him was Zhang Zhehan. The narrative of it being him was heavily pushed by planted fans to an unusually extreme extent, where people in the Chinese fandom were kicked from group chats for saying they didn’t believe it. It is suspected that people behind the scenes took advantage of the opportunity of the initial speculation to try to cause in-fighting among CPFs.    On 04-27, a Weibo user posted another video that showed the face of the man sitting beside Gong Jun, confirming that it was not Zhang Zhehan; this was the featured post under the hotsearch.
→ Hogan posted nine photos of Gong Jun attending the previous day’s event. They also posted a video shortly after. (1129 kadian)
→ #GongJun trended on Twitter and would continue to do so throughout the next day.
04-29 → Mengniu Zhenguoli yogurt posted a teaser video for their upcoming endorsement with Gong Jun, to be announced on 05-02. (1129 kadian)
→ Gong Jun posted two photos to his personal Weibo of himself and some presents from Louis Vuitton. Caption: “Follow @ LOUIS VUITTON to start the show tour in Seoul 🛬 Lock on the live broadcast room, come tonight at 19:00 to reveal #LV早秋23女装秀# Fashion Creativity~” He also posted these to his Xiao Hong Shu, caption: “Come to the show!  In preparation for the show in Seoul 😎 It will be staged soon, tonight at 19:00, join me in revealing the new fashion ideas of Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women's wear @ LouisVuitton!” and to his Instagram, caption: “Hi!Seoul!”
→ Yang Yang posted two photos of himself and Gong Jun from the Hogan event. Caption: “Be a cool boy skr  PS with HOGAN's global spokesperson Gong Jun . It is strongly recommended to customize a pair of men's high heels for the host. Thank you HOGAN~ Happy holiday!”
→ Gong Jun posted seven photos to his personal Weibo of himself in the outfit he would wear to the event. Caption: “Ready, let’s go!” He also posted these to his Instagram, caption: “Let’s go!”
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted an additional seven photos from the same photoshoot. Caption: “Boss @ Gong Jun Simon strolling the streets of South Korea, listening to the voice of the city. See you later at the show!”
Tumblr media
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted a video of behind the scenes footage from the shoot. Caption: “Boss @ Gong Jun Simon’s Korean street show!”
→ Gong Jun’s studio posted a douyin of more footage from the shoot. Caption: “Boss @ Gong Jun Simon in Seoul.” BGM is on the street by j-hope feat. J. Cole.
→ Gong Jun attended Louis Vuitton’s fashion show in Seoul. Videos (blanket flashing lights cw): [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
→ #Gong Jun South Korea# got on Weibo hotsearch. (At #4 on entertainment hotsearch, #12 on general when I looked around 23:00, might have been higher earlier.)
→ #GongJunLVPreFall23 trended on Twitter.
→ The site selling tickets for the Zhang Sanjian “concert” no longer offered tickets for 05-11, automatically redirecting to 05-10. The reason is unknown at the time of this post, it did not say 05-11 was sold out. May just be a glitch.
→ W magazine posted a photo of Gong Jun with Guang Xi.
Additional Reading: → A collection of pfps for Zhang Zhehan’s birthday. → A reminder of Bluebird’s charity drive for Zhang Zhehan’s birthday; 05-05 is the deadline if you want to be included in related giveaways. → A note: Last year, it was around this time (late April-mid May) that was the most chaotic with regards to the scam gang, who were taking advantage of the emotions heighted by Zhang Zhehan’s birthday and the anniversary of the Word of Honor concert. Things seem to be ramping up again now. Take care of yourself and take time away if you need to.

Lost Media - Halloween Animatronic
One of my most niche interests is Halloween animatronics. Surprisingly, there is even a small community for this that tends to align with haunters- people that operate or work at haunted houses. An interesting rabbit hole to dive down is that, somehow, get lost. It's crazy to think how an entire robot goes missing, but it can happen for a variety of reasons, such as prototypes not being picked up or finished, props being unable to find a distributor (such as Spirit Halloween, Home Hardware, or other pop up Halloween shops), or so few being made due to high cost that they tend to wind up lost in some storage unit somewhere.
One of the most sought after animatronics appears to be the Face Ripper Crying Bride, which would be developed by Morbid Enterprises/Industries (unfortunately, this producer went bankrupt in 2020 and shut down, but you may know them as the people that made the prop infamously featured in the Russian Sleep Experiment photo.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the name suggests, the face ripper bride would have hands molded to her face, so as her head lifted it would appear as though she was ripping her face off. Very simple, yet very creepy, definitely would have traumatized me as a kid. So, here's a post dedicated to her.
Let's start with a demonstration of the prop's actions, which could be found with the matching Face Ripper Groom that was produced and sold!
youtube
A little bit more popular, a face ripper clown was made, and the only of the three to be sold at Spirit Halloween.
youtube
So, what happened to the bride?
Well, we're not entirely sure. We do know that she appeared in a catalogue magazine for the 2009 season, which is where the photos we have come from. That's about all we have. Supposedly a video of the prop in action existed at one point, uploaded by the distributor HalloweenAsylum, but was deleted likely due to the product not being released as planned. The original owner of Morbid said he has it in an email, but the password to the email was lost, so he can't access it.
There was a point where somebody on youtube claimed to have the audio files, however the op claims they were removed for termination, then states that they accidentally corrupted the files. The clean audios were up long enough for people to nab them, so we do know the supposed audio, if not a very good recreation of the audio. You can hear the alleged audio in this video. If you do seek the corrupted audios, be aware of a volume warning, as the audios are very high pitched and loud.
The validity of this audio is debated upon, as there are reasons for both sides. First starters, OP seems to be an archivist for rare Morbid audio. The quotes are faithful to the agreed memory that she says "I'll make him suffer for what he did to me", the audio having a spookier voice halfway through, and the way that it follows the same formula as the clown and groom. However, some people recall her having a Southern accent, which is missing here in the alleged videos of her audio. It's also strange that OP would have the high quality of just the audio from the Halloween Asylum video, only to lose it roughly a week later and somehow corrupt the audio. As well, cross referencing with Halloween Asylum's videos from 2009 to the high quality that was reuploaded by other users (such as the one in the link), makes me rule out that it's unlikely the audio is real. The videos posted by Halloween Asylum in 2009 are obviously not the best quality, far lower than that audio clip. Some demo videos have the audio completely replaced with music (likely props with no audio), while other demo videos have the lower quality sound of the prop as well as a lot of background noise from the store/setup (or wherever these videos came from). To isolate the animatronic's audio from a 2009 video so cleanly and somehow in higher quality would be a difficult task, there would likely have to be some artifacting in the audio. Even these days, isolating vocals from a modern song can prove difficult as you often still hear the surrounding audio. Plus, to lose 14 years of that very rare isolated audio in such high quality to corruption would be more devastating than OP seems to act in their video comments.
So, that's about all we have. Close leads, but not close enough to help us find her. I can only hope that she gets found soon, perhaps the prototypes from the catalogue or the Halloween Asylum video, she has a particular charm to her craving for vengeance.

@curlicuecal tagged me into the post meme about ten songs! I'll go ahead and post ten songs by ten artists that I've been particularly fixated on lately, it's all personal bias all the way down, babey
Colm McGuinness: Sleeping In The Cold Below - Let's start off with a representative sample, my head is filled with folk and filk and irish and shanties, just check out this artist for a clear breakdown of my tastes, because I could fill out the whole list with just this man's work. Musically speaking, if I could grow up to be anyone, it would be HIM. I yearn so hard for his instrument collection and vocal range, even if I'm operating in different octaves.
Malinda: Dúlamán - Feels slightly like cheating, because I'm fairly sure I found her through Colm McGuinness (the Hoist The Colors collab), but god, her voice is DIVINE, and she's got a fantastic balance of trad covers and newer music. Songs in gaelic can be tricky to rec, even if I'm about to do it again, but some of them just have so much bewitching LIFE that I can't resist.
Celtic Woman: Téir Abhaile Riú - I have to tell you, it was both disorienting and delightful when this started getting used as a sound in tiktoks. The short excerpt is good, but the whole song is so much fun! I know it's kind of redundant to talk up Irish songs as being catchy as hell, but this is really such a good one.
The Longest Johns: On The Railroad - Speaking of catchy... I'm a basic binch, give me a train song that sounds like a train, and I'm all over that to an embarrassing degree. Skimbleshanks isn't going to be on here, but only because it'd be cheating, I wasn't thinking about it until I started thinking about why I like this. And you get a train song that's ALSO a work song? Hell yes, gimme
Great Big Sea: Process Man - I agonized over what Great Big Sea song to include (old black rum? donkey riding? excursion around the bay?) but this is truly such a classic, it's so catchy and memorable. And it's great if you're feeling like an exploited #resource at your day job!
The High Kings: McAlpine's Fusiliers - Speaking of being an exploited, expendable resource, ONE LAST IRISH SONG. But I can't leave this out! The High Kings are so good, but McAlpine's Fusiliers is the CATCHIEST melody line by any artist. I am typing slowly because I have no choice to sing along since I opened the video to get the url, send help
Hozier: The Humours Of Whiskey - You know I really intended to have other flavors of music on here too, but. Again, the song is too catchy for me to resist. This is only a partial cover of the full song, because he's just doing it offhand. But his voice is so perfect and the delivery so flawless, I live for this 52 second clip, haha
Delta Rae: Bottom Of The River - Technically I am showing a little more range than previous entries have done, but uh, I know that's only barely/technically true. But there's so much good stuff in this weird corner! And my mainest criteria for how much I like music is how fun it is to sing along, and this is seriously peak singalong content.
The Merry Wives Of Windsor: Siuil A Run: Oh no, another gaelic title. But it's also partly in english, and this is another song I'll listen to by anyone who covers it, and another group where I'll listen to any music they produce! I recommend their entire back catalog, very strongly. Fair warning they have a notable bawdy portion of their catalog, but I'm being good and not linking something like 'come roll me away,' or 'the cockerel song,' so you can listen without fear. But they are SUCH a fun group, I love them to bits.
Mary Black: Colcannon - Ah, screw it, I have a brand. Let's wrap it up with a song that's literally about potatoes! Also an impossibly catchy melody. This song has been stuck in my head since it absolutely Ruined me with homesickness back in grad school. And you know what, I'm also linking this bonus version with worse audio, but it's a 1986 recording of the black family on tv. There's just something about watching irish singing that makes me LIVE.
--
oh no, tagging people. I'm chickening out, sorry. If you want to do it and point your finger at me, go for it! but it's been a long week and I contracted a bad case of the Shy it looks like
