Sent a picture of pasta I made with shrimp small tomatoes etc and someone asked me where the seasoning was as if oil basil good breading for the shrimp and so on needs to be fucked with by drowning it in overkill seasoning.

just had a late lunch at that one local Thai restaurant run by an old immigrant couple out of their house and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace in the way that only eating a good meal made with love and care can really do.

#there are like three separate restaurants like this near me #that are pretty much just families that decided to start cooking for strangers #they're all very good and you can feed two people for $30 or under at any one of them #but the thai place is BY FAR the best #not just the best in my city but also the best thai food I've ever had

Note: If you are a short Filipina like me you cannot have a chance to look yourself in the toilet on the mirror because the mirror is high I mean the mirror is taller than me lol. Anyway is not a problem with me because I saw a similar like in the Italian Pizza hub.

i kind of want to try a bit of meat to see if its something im intrested in but im not sure if like. having something small and average like a chicken nugget would be better to give me a better idea of what it usually is or something that i know is up to my ethical standards like local and ethcially caught seafood that i’d probably enjoy more and wouldnt make me feel super guilty but wouldnt rlly be a good indicator of the average meat experience

In March, @jlf23tumble was in town for her birthday and came for a visit along with @uhoh-but-yeah-alright . We sat outside and shared so many laughs and good times over a sweet potato cake with toasted pepitas and maple olive oil glaze, sparkling wine from there Madonna Inn, and some quickly prepared frozen gyoza and edamame.

The cake was one I'd never made before, and was very tasty, but the company was what actually made the meal memorable.
