A snow storm out of nowhere
Part Two: March
In this post we continue to go through XZ’s situation, to better understand why he is where he is now. The ask that originated everything is here, with an index.
Disclaimer: I try to keep the content objective, but I am biased, by the kind of content I’m usually exposed to and by my own perception of their situation. I may be wrong, and language barriers and cultural differences have to be taken into account. If anyone wants to discuss this, please make sure you have enough information to do so.
I think that even with all the “darkness” this post has, it express also quite nicely why I think XZ won’t be defeated by this. We will see him again, let’s be patient.
So, taking from Part One, the next day public thought that XZ’s Studio and his team were trying to hush all the commotion. People were very very furious, looking for a way to vent their anger. Some said that the only way they’d let this go was that XZ retired from the entertainment industry.
Attacking his endorsements
That night, Olay was to air a live video with a product that XZ was going to endorse, and antis realized that they had a new way to express their anger. The comments and their interventions during the event made it impossible to progress adequately, and the announcement of XZ endorsing the product had to be put off.
Antis and haters realized the power they had, and started to announce that didn’t just reject the products endorsed by XZ, they also rejected the brands that worked with him. In the face of such controversy and boycott, many brands chose another spoke person temporarily for their commercials and banners, removing XZ’s from their websites.
From March, the antis centered themselves around the topic “Not buying products XZ endorses”, making his value go downwards. The brands he worked with decided to stay low for the time being and removed his image from their websites. Some even decided to terminate their contracts with him, in fear of being boycotted.
Douban
By the 3rd day ao3 was down, reality sank in and people turned to douban, were C/QL, The Joy of Life, Jade Dynasty were in the top 3, all of them series were XZ is lead actor or secondary actor. The antis placed bad reviews, to the point of bringing down the score of C/QL from 8’5 to 7’9 in a single day (we’re talking here of 1′5 million reviews as of today) and affecting every project he has worked on since the beginning of his career as an actor.
Public scorn
XZ as well as XZ fans became the objective of public scorn. From the 1st of March, some of the accusers apologized for “the problems caused”, and the one that had led the report posted a public apology and deleted every post related to the reporting. However, to the rest of the users it looked like they were apologizing against their will, and that they still thought they weren’t wrong, but were doing so in an effort to preserve XZ’s public image, as well as their own image as XZ’s fans.
The conflict ceased between XZ’s fans and the cp fans, now uniting in an effort to lesser the damage. They agreed to bring down the tone of the discussion, and once things cooled down a bit, XZ Studio posted a public apology, asking people to support their idol rationally, to speak and act carefully, as well as saying that XZ was currently quarantined at home.
Antis brought up more complaints about XZ’s fans. Unfortunately, it’s a fact that some of his fans had taken sometimes unreasonable measures to give him the spotlight, such as:
Making him the center of attention in a tv drama in which another actor was the male lead. They took over the community in w/ibo and started to delete all of the other actor’s fans from the group.
Some fans attacked WYB, so XZ wouldn’t have to “divide” his success from C/QL with him. They reported WYB for not having a “host degree” (whatever that is). This was shot down by a statement from Hunan TV, by the way.
Attacking whoever says that they don’t have any interest in XZ’s works (a professor was asked to have a look at his works, and he refused, so XZ’s stans started to attack him).
(Again, bear in mind that antis and hater and these kind of very obssesive fans are a minority, and they are greatly outnumbered by the rest of the people that like and support XZ in a much more rational way... but they make more noise, so to say).
Antis and people resenting XZ for the 2/27 incident wanted a scapegoat. So I think the resentful party wants the fans to know “so you take away this, I want your idol to pay for it” and antis… they have their own agenda, and that’s for another post.
XZ Studio’s apology didn’t do much and the drama continued to unfold. Maybe XZ’s Studio wanted to wait for the storm to pass, and since acknowledging the issue would give it importance, they waited until they couldn’t put it off anymore. I don’t know if this was actually right or wrong, but people weren’t satisfied with this apology. XZ’s fans would try to argue with the antis, and thus keeping the image of obsessive fans, even if many of them were actually right.
People were disappointed by the actions taken by his team and waiting for him to say something, but, to their disappointment, XZ didn’t express his opinion.
Other authors
Fanfiction writers, mostly from the BJYX fandom, would receive insults and attacks from antis and XZ’s stans still pursuing their original stance, so a lot of content has disappeared.
(To this point: I don’t like RPS. I don’t read RPS fanfics. I didn’t like seeing them and adjusted the filters in ao3 so I could only see fanfics from CQL. But attacking the authors this way is also terribly wrong).
Responsibility and consequences
XZ had previously signed up with many companies, with WJJW being the main stockholder. Since he was under so many companies, none of them wanted to take responsibility of the matter and try to solve it, so it was left to XZ’s Studio to try and fix it.
Investors, directors, brands’ representatives... they all thought that it’d take at least half a year for XZ to recover from this blow, and it also depends greatly on how his next work is received by the general public. He still has the support from his fans, but that alone wasn’t enough in the face of such boycott.
While later people who supported him appeared, there were voices at first too that asked him to take responsibility.
(These are influential people, and, while I’m not surprised that their stance was to support public opinion, as a public figure, you may find yourself in the future in the same position as XZ. To add oil to flames doesn’t seem very kind to me, but again, this is a competitive industry.)
Support
At the same time people criticized him and his studio for his management of the issue, prominent people stepped forward and talked in his behalf, like critics, directors, and even lawyers, talking about the legal aspect of the fanfiction, saying that, by Chinese laws, it was indeed violating the law.
(However, there was another article I agreed more with: not liking a content doesn’t give you the right to manage it. That’s the duty and right of the platform, in this case ao3. You may report the author and the work if you find it unsuitable for the platform, but to call the authorities on them is quite excessive).
It was also positive that in spite of everything, the sales of the products he endorsed remained high and in the lead in March, and the trend continued all the way to July. He’s still considered one of the most influential celebrities, taking usually the top 1. This is why his companies, agencies and his team hasn’t given up on him. As sad as it may sound, if he’s a profitable asset, they won’t give up on him, because he can still earn money for them.
Since the antis were spreading hate, rumours and false news, trying to damage XZ’s image, the fans also tried for the contrary. They posted about XZ’s kindness and polite gestures, to try to counter the antis’ attacks.
However, no matter how much his fans support him, the greatest help came from fellow acquaintances, coworkers and friends from the entertainment industry. It’s a reality that no matter how much a fan likes their idol, the average fan doesn’t know him personally. But that can’t be said of people who have worked with him.
People he had worked with (fellow actresses, critics, directors, screenwriters) supported him by posting comments defending and praising him, expressing their dismay about the antis or by praising him in livestream. For well-known people to step up and speak for him, when they could have stayed silent in fear of retaliation, it’s a true give away of XZ’s character and what these people think of his future, especially if we consider that they are facing a group of unreasonable antis.
(In fact, many of the people who supported him received hateful comments and were attacked for supporting him, but none of them took away their support, that I know of).
Happy Camp’s support
It was also a good sign that while brands still avoided his image, tv programs didn’t shy away from his image. Happy Camp emitted a video in which XZ appeared, so fans interpreted this as a sign of silent support from the program and the tv channel.
This was also very important. There have been cases before, when an actor was being seriously boycotted because he had been having an affair, that the tv stations refused to work with him. It got to the point that, when a episode had already been filmed, they used photoshop to erase his image and simply cut out all of his interventions and interactions with other participants .
Tumblr media
See that space there, between the girl in blue and the guy with a suit? Such are the miracles of photoshop.
So if an actor has really committed a mistake, the entertainment industry will not hesitate to take away their support. It’s also a way to say that they disapprove of what that person did.
(To those who are curious, this man had been a very successful actor for many years. He was “happily” married and had a 20 years old son. But when people discovered that he had been keeping a mistress for almost two decades... he fell out of favor. Quick.)
XZ’s very brief appearance in Happy Camp was an auspicious sign for his future, meaning that tv stations are still willing to work with him and that his dramas will likely be aired in spite of everything.
(I’ve never been happier to wrong, since I thought this would take longer to pass at first. But when I thought about this carefully, I realized that anyone could see that XZ in himself isn’t at fault for what happened, so why would they reject him once the storm passes?).
The start of the public welfare project
So, in the midst of this situation, which was very serious at the time, XZ’s fans Public Welfare Group was founded, with the support of XZ’s Studio.
(This is actually quite common in China. A group of fans create a welfare group, and they do volunteering projects and others in the name of their idol. Many celebrities’ fans create a group like this when the fandom is big enough.)
I think it served to remind that idols can use their influence and unite a large group of people to serve purposes that are beneficial to the society (at least in Asia). It came in a “good” moment, because if nothing else, XZ can’t afford that the first that comes to mind to the general public when they see him or his fans is this small group of people, who are the representation of the worst part of his fans.
(Since this project has the support of his studio, he must know of it and must have given his approval. But he is not the one to actually initiate the project, that was a collective effort from his fans: to do welfare projects in his name. He collaborates with welfare projects, he had done it before, and did it again in June. This a reflection of a more positive part of fan quan culture, which will be explained in the next post).
However, because he was in the middle of great controversy and criticism, this move was also considered “hypocritical” and “insincere” by the antis. Nonetheless, the influence such a large group of people have is undeniable (in promoting local commerce in this case), and the local representatives thanked them for their support. They kept on with their projects these months, usually promoting agricultural products from impoverished provinces. They were also praised by the media for the results they achieved.
For those who are inclined to doubt whether this was a move to improve his image, here it’s a compilation of charity and public welfare projects that XZ’s fans pushed forward in 2019, collecting for numerous projects an amount of almost 450.000¥ and 620.000¥ as epidemic relief effort during the coronavirus period, that started in December 2019.
The welfare project was also a source of controversy later... but again, people always seem to find fault with everything you do.

Thinking of Buying a Condo Hotel? Here Are 20 Things You Need to Know!
Tumblr media
1. What is a condo hotel or condotel?
Think of a condo hotel (also sometimes called a condotel or hotel condo) as buying a condominium, although one that is part of a four-star caliber hotel. Therefore, as an owner, when you are on vacation, you'll get the benefit of more four-star services and amenities than you'd get in a typical condominium.
2. What types of services and amenities are found in condo hotels?
If you can imagine the niceties you'd find in an upscale hotel, then you can picture a condo hotel. Among the features are often resort-style pools, full-service spas, state-of-the-art fitness centers, fine dining restaurants, concierge services and room service. have a peek at this web-site Kopar at Newton
In some locations, like Las Vegas, you'll find condo hotels with their own casinos, retail areas, and entertainment venues. In places like Orlando, you'll find condo hotels with their own water parks and convention facilities.
3. What is the difference between a condo hotel and a traditional condominium?
The big difference between a hotel and a condo hotel is that a hotel typically has one owner, either individual or corporate, but a condo hotel is sold off unit by unit. Therefore, a 300-room condo hotel could have as many as 300 unit owners.
4. Is it evident to hotel guests whether they're staying in a condo hotel or a traditional hotel?
A hotel guest will likely never know that the hotel has multiple owners because the property is operated just like a traditional hotel and often under the management of a well-known hotel company like Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood, Trump or W. Also, each of the individual condo hotel units will look identical in design and décor to every other, just as they would in a traditional hotel.
5. Who typically buys condo hotels?
They're primarily sold to people who want a vacation home but do not want to deal with the hassles typically associated with second home ownership such as maintaining the property or finding renters in the off season.
6. What is the demographic of the typical condo hotel buyer?
The spectrum of condo hotel buyers is pretty broad. There are families that want a second home in a vacation destination. There are baby boomers who are at or nearing retirement and want somewhere they can "winter." There are also plenty of investors who purchase a condo hotel unit with little intention of ever using it; they're in it for the potential appreciation of the real estate.
7. Can you live in a condo hotel?
Condo hotels are not typically offered as primary residences. In fact, many of them limit the unit owner's usage of the condo hotel unit (typically 30-60 days per year) because the unit is expected and needed in the hotel's nightly rental program where it can be offered to guests and generate revenue.
8. Who gets the money when your condo hotel is rented out?
The hotel management company splits the rental revenue with the individual condo hotel owner. While the exact percentages vary from property to property, the typical rental split is in the 50%-50% range.
9. Who finds hotel guests and then cleans and maintains the condo hotel units?
The hotel management company markets the property and books hotel guests. It also maintains the unit and ensures the smooth operation of all of the hotel's services and amenities.
10. What are the advantages / disadvantages of purchasing a condotel over purchasing typical rental properties?
Advantages include:
· Hassle-free ownership; no landlord issues
· Rental revenue to offset some or maybe all ownership expenses
· A fantastic vacation home available for use whenever you want
· A real estate investment at a time when other investments may seem less attractive
· Strong likelihood of appreciation
· Pride of ownership --"I own a piece of a Trump"
Disadvantages include:
· Annual cash flow could be equal to or less than annual ownership costs
· Pets are usually not welcome.
· An owner's condo hotel unit may be rented when the owner wants to it, so advance reservations are required to guarantee availability.
· The condo hotel unit is subject to the same dips in the market that affect all hotels in the competitive market set: hurricanes, terrorist threats, warm winters up north, price of gas, etc., all of which can affect a unit's occupancy rate and the amount of revenue it generates.
11. Are condo hotel units difficult to finance?
Not at all, but they do take 20% down typically, whereas condos can be purchased with less cash down. It's also important to make sure you use a mortgage broker who has had success in getting condo hotel financing deals done. Many banks still do not do them, but more and more are getting involved as condo hotels become more widely available.
12. How long have condo hotels been around and where are they located?
Condo hotels have been around for several decades, but the huge surge of four-star and five-star condo hotels that have been making their way across the country, started around year 2000 in the Miami area. The Miami-Fort Lauderdale area still has the most condo hotels, but areas like Orlando and Las Vegas are developing condo hotel properties at an even faster rate and will likely surpass South Florida soon. Other up-and-coming areas are places like the Bahamas, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada and Dubai.
13. How much do condo hotel units cost?
That's like asking how much a car costs. There are different quality condo hotels. Some require greater amounts of money than others, obviously.
There are inexpensive condo hotels out there for as little as $100,000. These are typically found in properties that have converted their use from an existing hotel. They are hotel room-sized, lack kitchen facilities, luxury franchises, and other first-class amenities.
Then there are the four-star or greater properties that may start in the $300,000 to $400,000 range, but can go all the way up to $800,000 just for a studio unit. One- and two-bedroom units cost substantially more than a studio. Of course, the studios do come fully furnished and finished, and will be significantly larger in size than a typical hotel room, and may attract guests because of its name like St. Regis, Ritz or W.
14. What are typical maintenance costs?
On average about $1.00 to $1.50 per sq. ft., but the range can exceed $2.00 sq. ft. in the most luxurious properties.
15. Do you buy condo hotel units after they have been built, or can you purchase condo hotels in pre-construction?
Unless you are in a hurry to get started vacationing or you need to complete a 1031 exchange, it's best to buy condo hotels in pre-construction as early as possible. That's when prices are lowest and unit selection is greatest. You will likely wait two years or longer before closing on and taking possession of your condo hotel unit, but you will have locked in the price and will get the benefit of maximum appreciation.
16. Is there anything else investors should want to know about condotels?
There is more to buying this type of real estate than the old phrase, "location, location, location." While most condo hotels are located in desirable resort and business area locations, what is most important is a good franchise with a strong reservation system.
Also, do not be fooled by an aggressive rental split. One way or the other, the developer of the property will have to staff, maintain and operate the hotel and its services like the restaurants, bars, spas and pools from his share of the proceeds. If he's giving you a very favorable share of the rental, he's also more likely to be charging you a higher monthly maintenance fee. Of course, this goes both ways. If the maintenance split that is offered is closer to 50-50, then your maintenance should be more reasonable too.
17. Any suggestions to investors in choosing which condo hotel to buy?
Get good advice. That means you don't want to rely only on the pitch provided by an onsite salesperson at a condo hotel. You want to talk with a broker who specializes in condo hotels and who knows and understands the entire condo hotel market, not just the facts pertaining to a single property. He or she will listen to your wants and needs and then offer recommendations as to which properties best match your requirements. You'll have an opportunity to comparison shop and consider the pros and cons of each available property.
A good broker can be the difference between your buying a condo hotel that will be problematic and not live up to your expectations or one that will provide you with years of great vacations, good annual revenue and a substantial profit when you sell.
18. Does it cost more to use a real estate broker to purchase a condo hotel than buying a unit on one's own?
No. With new condo hotel properties, the prices are always set by the developer and are exactly the same whether you buy directly from an onsite salesperson at the property or using a broker.
The broker's commission is always paid by the developer and is already built into the price regardless of whether an outside broker participates in the sale or not. Since a broker's representation is free to buyers, it does make sense to enlist their aid and get the benefit of their advice before making a purchase.
19. How can prospective buyers find a good condo hotel broker?
Ask friends for broker recommendations or search online for "condo hotel broker." Visit condo hotel broker websites and see if the information they provide seems comprehensive and unbiased. If their website seems to focus on selling homes or office space, and the condo hotel information appears to be an afterthought, steer clear. Your best bet is to work with a condo hotel broker who specializes.
20. How can buyers learn about new condo hotel properties coming on the market?
Condo hotel brokers can be good information sources as they often learn about properties prior to their release to the general public. Another option is for them to subscribe to a condo hotel newsletter such as the one we publish called Condo Hotel Property Alert.

♡ PART 2: LOST IN LOVE MAZE ♡
(OMEGAVERSE AU) (POLYAMORY AU) (SOULMATE AU)
← PART 1: DON’T SMILE AT ME ← → PART 3: CAN’T CLOSE YOUR EYES →
SUMMARY:  As you and Jimin grow further and further apart, how will Jimin deal with his growing feelings for Hoseok? What happens when Hoseok, Yoongi, and Namjoon start feeling something back?
PAIRINGS: Omega! Jimin x Omega! Reader, Omega! Jimin x Alpha! Namjoon x Alpha! Hoseok x Alpha! Yoongi, alpha! Jackson x Omega! Reader.
TAGS: Fluff, brief sexual content, heats, hurt/comfort, Brief emotional abuse, alpha/alpha phobia, Polyamory, TRIGGERS IN LATER CHAPTERS
W/C: 4.9k
A/N: So this chapter focuses more heavily on Jimin’s growing relationship with Hoseok, Yoongi, and Namjoon. I'm sorry that I paint Jackson as a bad boyfriend T-T.
Tumblr media
- The first time Jimin meets Namjoon he’s struck by how pungent the alpha scent is- so comforting and commanding. He smells like the fresh but dominating spicy cypress and lemon that complement each other perfectly.
- The handsome businessman is sitting with his legs crossed quietly reading over a pair of glasses in the waiting room as Jimin exits an unoccupied practice room. He’s panting and sweaty from dancing a sequence he had been trying to master before he tried to teach it too the adult class.
- The adorable stranger smiles up at Jimin, showing the cutest little dimples. Making Jimin’s heart beat erratically as he stutters and asks him if he needs anything. There weren’t any more classes for another hour and a half- so Jimin doesn’t have the slightest clue he could be doing here. Sometimes parents would stop in to sign they’re kids up for classes so it wasn't that uncommon for strangers to just walk in and sit down.
- “I’m just here to drop off Hoseok’s dinner is all.”
- “He’s in his practice room right now with a private client but he should be out in a moment if you want me to bring it up too him?”
- “I’d prefer to wait if you don’t mind?” Namjoon asks politely “I’m Namjoon, you must be the new instructor. Hoseok’s told me so much about you!” Jimin takes the extended hand Namjoon offers and shakes it surprised- unsure who Namjoon is too Hoseok, he doesn’t look enough like him to be a sibling; maybe he’s just a friend? Or- Jimin takes note of his Italian leather shoes and expensive camel colored felt jacket- maybe this alpha is an investor in the studio?
- “I am! I really love working here- Hoseok’s a great boss.”
- “I’m glad he found someone equally as passionate as him, I know that having your help really takes the weight off Hoseok’s shoulders.” Namjoon complements making Jimin blush, “Thank y-you” he stutters.
- “Joonie!” Hoseok says as he comes down the stairs, quickly taking them two at a time when he sees the businessman “You should have texted me to let you know you were coming,” Hoseok bids a quiet goodbye and bows to the private client, the hour lesson done.
- “Check your phone Hope,” Namjoon says with a wry smile as the door jingles shut. Hoseok rubs the back of his neck, abashed, as he goes to stand by Namjoon, “Sorry- you know how wrapped up I get,”
- Namjoon reaches out, runs his fingers through Hoseok’s sweaty hair, pushing it back from his forehead, it’s such an intimate gesture, Jimin can almost feel the shiver that runs down Hoseok’s spine as he smiles and hugs Namjoon.
- Oh, Jimin thinks, this is Hoseok’s significant other, another alpha.
- Suddenly feeling like he’s intruding on something he shouldn’t, Jimin blushes and excuses himself. But finds himself watching them over the desk as he checks his schedule and his phone- finding a text from you.
- The little pink hears at the end of your message make Jimin’s heart flutter. Jimin watches them laugh and talk about their days, feeling sparks of envy well up on his gut.
- Hoseok takes bites of the takeout Namjoon brought him while he tells Namjoon about his day. Namjoon interrupts him by kissing away the rice and sauce that's stuck to the corner of Hoseok’s mouth and Jimin blushes as Hoseok’s hand grips Namjoon’s thigh.
- Jimin’s almost glad that when Namjoon leaves, just as the last class of the night starts to roll in. Smiling at him as he says how lovely it was to finally meet him.
- “Should I be worried about the cute omega you’ve hired?” Namjoon purrs.
- Hoseok pulls himself up onto Namjoon’s lap later that same night, Hoseok bites and nips at the edge of Namjoon’s jaw.
- “Not at all, though from the way that you were sniffing the air I think that you might have trouble staying away.” Hoseok teases, Namjoon runs his nose along Hoseok’s pulse point,
- “You smell like him sometimes when you come home and It doesn’t help that he smells so sweet.”
- “No it certainly doesn’t.” Hoseok agrees, grimacing, wondering what he smells like to Namjoon with Jimin’s lovely lovely citrus scent curling around his.
- That night when he comes home- you aren’t there though, you’ve probably gone over to Jackson’s if you’re not home this late at night. Work has been stressful for you recently, and Jimin knows- you’ve told him how much of a stress reliever Jackson can be for you.
- Two alphas in love? How does that happen? Jimin wonders, of course- there’s nothing wrong with it. But he might be the only one who thinks that.
- a parent of one someone in Jimin’s child’s class walks in during one of the off-hours one day. He see’s Hoseok and Namjoon sitting against the back wall and talking to Jimin working the front desk, Hoseok in Namjoon’s lap.
- And the next day their child is taken out of Jimin’s class. So Jimin knows it can’t be easy, and that can’t have been the first time that alpha/alpha prejudice has affected Hoseok.
- Jimin asks Hoseok about it one day, when Namjoon isn’t there, and Hoseok just looks sad and conflicted. “It’s not easy being open about it- but we try. Though Joon- he doesn’t tell his clients. And I don’t tell mine, we try not to hide anymore.” And it makes jimin happy and thoughtful. Jimin wishes, he wishes things could be different between the two of you.
- Namjoon becomes sort of a fixture at the studio the next few weeks, hanging around in the backroom as well as the office. Hoseok tells him that he’s a lawyer and was helping them with tax season, Hoseok also mentions that Namjoon’s a bit between cases right now.
- Jimin starts too look forward to seeing Namjoon hanging around, after the harassment he experienced in his adult class, Jimin is glad for a comforting presence, and Namjoon is always so kind and pleasant to talk too.
- Jimin can see how in love with Hoseok he is and how equally enthralled Hoseok is with Namjoon, and it makes him happy, to see an unconventional alpha/alpha relationship that seems so loving.
- Hoseok and Jimin have become pretty close over the past few weeks. In their free time between classes at the studio Hoseok gives Jimin pointers on the little hip hop he knows and even consenting to let jimin teach him a little interpretive, after Jimin tells him it will help him with his rhythm. More than once they end up stupid dancing in the mirrors or laughing so hard they forget what step they where on.
- One night Jimin dreams of Namjoon and Hoseok and shivers, waking up to his heat hitting him in full force. He texts you briefly, letting you know that he’ll be hauled up for a few days in your apartment.
- You don’t necessarily avoid him when he has his heat, another omega might offer to babysit him- makes sure he eats and drinks water to not be completely ruined when it finishes. But the two of you never cross that line with each other, going back to the old failsafe of just avoidance.  You only usually come back to get a change of clothes
- But this heat hits him so badly, so much worse than the any other he’s ever had.
- He texts Hoseok letting him know he’ll text him as soon as he’s finished. Hoseok almost replies, “let me know if you need any help!” but thinks better of it.
- He spends the better part of 3 days heat addled and impossibly hard in his shorts. His wandering hands and even the toys he uses to help him do little to fan back the flames. His own hands aren’t enough to satisfy him.
- More than once he almost calls his ex. Nearly desperate enough, but then he see’s Hoseok’s contact information right above yours on his most frequently called list and his eyes dart back between yours and his name before he throws his phone across the room in frustration.
- You had never helped each other out with your heats before. It would be too intimate, too physical for your relationship to withstand.
- Jimin knows that once he has a taste of you he would really be done for.
- Regardless of the fact that you’re another omega and Jimin’s body really shouldn’t be having the reaction it does; The smell of you frustrates him just as much as the smell of Hoseok on his dance bag. Namjoon’s scent clings there too, though more muted.
- Jimin wonders if it has anything to do with the two alphas that he’s been around so much. Heats got more intense if you where around alpha’s.
- Jimin finally cums at the thought of Namjoon’s large hands holding his legs apart, the memory of Hoseok’s warm breath rushing over his face as he imagines the redhead whispering unspeakable things into his ear “why don’t you show Namjoon how pretty you can be when you cum Jiminie,”
- And he imagines your mouth- the feel of it, how it would probably be soft and pillowy against every hidden and sensitive part of him. How wrong it was- to think about you likes that, his best friend.
- But you had always been more than just best friends.
- And when he exits the shower after it’s finished, his legs still shakeing,  he finds you sitting in the kitchen, flustered from work with a mountain of take out for Jimin, your worried face a balm against what had really gotten to him.
- Loneliness, he’d missed you- missed you so bad.
- And Jimin almost collapses against you shaking a little bit. And he doesn’t have to say anything, doesn’t have to put his feeling into words. He just holds onto you as you maneuver him towards the couch. There are no lights on in your apartment except for the small yellow glow from the streetlight that shines through. No noise except from the cars the hum and pulse,
- Jimin tells himself that he just needs something to hold onto- something to make him feel a little less like an unmoored boat, something to teacher too. but that couldnt be farther than the truth. it was you that was unmored, and you that was slipping away- slowly, and Jimin could do absolutly nothing to stop it.
- The way you snuggle into him is more intimate than anything he’s ever felt. More intimate than heat sex or otherwise. You don’t even mention the way that Jimin’s sniffling and his tear staining your white button down or the way that he holds onto you to try and stop you from getting up when you go to refill his water.
- He brings his face close to your chest and listens to the sound of your heart beat. Eventually you talk. “if I had known it was this bad Jimin- I would have-”
- “it’s ok,” Jimin says sniffling, “Just please don’t go to Jackson right now- please don't-” you shush him as tears fill his eyes at the though of you leaving, scrtching up and down his bare back.
- You end up falling asleep on you couch, Jimin underneath you as you lie chest to chest, he holds you to him even as you sleepily take off your work pants leaving in just your underwhere and button down shirt, and tangled with Jimin’s bare legs.
- Jimin needs this, needs you so baddly. Even if it’s just this, this quiet loving in the darkness of your living room, he needs it like a fucking drug.
- By the next day Jimin is back to normal, play fighting with you over communal dinner, Jimin smiles as he holds the salt above your head just out of your reach and giggles when you try to use him as a climbing block.
- He finally gets around to telling you about his bosses boyfriend, choosing a moment when Jacksons in the other room- trying to pick out a movie while Jimin heats up some butter for the popcorn that you’ve just made.
- “A functional alpha/alpha relationship, I can't believe it!” you say excitedly as you search for the large metal mixing bowl.
- “They’re so cute together.” Jimin gushes, “Namjoon hyung is so sweet to Hobi- he’s always bringing him dinner when he forgets.”
- “Hobi?” you tease, “Getting a little personal with your boss?”
- “W-well he’s not just my boss, we’ve gotten pretty close too!” Jimin explains, but when he looks up your just giving him a teasing look and a shake of your head. You don't let it show. you've always been good at hiding your emotions from Jimin.
- But his explosion last night make you realize how little you've paid attention to him in the last few months, since he started Working at the studio, and you got a job as a translator you’ve barely seen him, even on the weekends! You berate yourself for neglecting your best friend and resolve to make more room for him in your life.
- “That makes me happy- that they can manage it, it must not be easy for them, alpha/alpha relationships aren’t exactly normal- but maybe they-”
- “that’s fucking disgusting” Jackson says walking through the door, finally decided on snowpeircer- a movie that Jimin didn’t really like all that much- tucked under his arms.
- jimin turns away heat rising to his cheeks, abashed at being overheard, his hand tightens on the spoon,  “no it’s not.” He retaliates, but luckily he says it quietly enough that Jackson doesn't hear him
- “I'm sorry you have to work in such a disgusting place Jimmie, it’s not right having people like them around kids, ” Jackson scowls, running a hand down your arm that is supposed to be comforting. it’s not disgusting to you and it shouldn't be- but Jackson’s an alpha. so You bite back retort and give him a slightly strained smile. “popcorns done, let’s just watch the movie.” glossing over the argument.
- “There’s no way that they can work,” Jackson said, ignoring you and shaking his head, still with that expression of disgust.
- “Sure it can.” Jimin says under his breath. And he knows he’s way too invested in his coworkers relationship. Maybe it has something to do with his own lack of romance. But if alpha alpha relationships can work? Why couldn’t it’s omega/omega counterparts?
- That night you edge closer to jimin- but Jackson drags you back next to him.
- “If you made any more room for Jimin in our relationship you’d be dating him instead of me, I can't believe you’d even try something like that, how selfish can he be with you?” Jackson retorts as he sits on his bed, when you tell him about your plan to spend more time with Jimin.
- You hadn’t realized that you where asking Jackson for permission but it feels like it. You know that your best friend isn’t selfish but under Jackson’s dominant glare your resolve crumples a little. “You better be thankful I put up with this shit- Don’t think I don’t know the kind of liberal bullshit he spews to you when I leave the room.”
-  A few mornings later- Jimin comes to the sinking and sudden conclusion that Jackson might have been right.
- He comes in early intending to use the hour he has before his first class to practice his own moves. He has an audition for a music video coming up in a few weeks to act as a backup dancer and he’d been excited about it.
- when he opens the door he finds a black haired man who is certainly not Namjoon, pinning Hoseok up against the mirror of one of the practice rooms.
- Jimin freezes in the doorway as he takes in their hips moving together, rubbing in a practiced way. The black haired mans mouth works on Hoseok’s neck. Hoseok makes eye contact with Jimin as he lets out a moan, his pupils dark, his eyes widening as they focus on Jimin.
- “S-sorry.” Jimin stutters out before turning and walking away as quickly as possible.
- “Jimin wait!” Hoseok calls after him, running to catch Jimin’s wrist. His shirt is un-tucked from his pants, a hickey glinting just below the collar of his shirt, his erection poking through his sweats, but Jimin only sees the panicked look on Hoseok’s face.
- He doesn’t want me too tell Namjoon Jimin thinks, but in that moment all Hoseok wants is for that omega to stop looking at him like he’s betrayed.
- And that’s true, Jimin has been far too involved in their love life, looking forward to hearing the Nitti gritty details of someone’s relationship wasn’t healthy - in truth jimin was engrossed in their relationship to distract himself from you.
- Hoseok catches Jimin’s wrist in his, stopping him from walking away,
- “I know it’s not my place to judge you hyung, but you shouldn’t sneak around Namjoon’s back, he’s a sweet guy and I’d-”
- “Yoongi and I aren’t sneaking around” Hoseok says,
- “oh- well in that case” Jimin blushes redder and turns away trying to yank his wrist out of Hoseok’s grip, but Hoseok doesn't let him.
- “Namjoon, Yoongi and I, we’re... all in a relationship.” he says softly, like he’s giving up a secret. Hoseok wonders how even after almost 2 years of saying it- it never gets any easier. Watching people’s confusion as they wonder how 3 alpha’s can stand to live in the same apartment together let alone be in a relationship. But it works for them.
- “I don’t believe you.” Jimin finds himself whispering.
- “Then let me show you.” Hoseok says, his voice breaking.
- All it really takes is a dinner with the three alpha’s to convince Jimin that what Hoseok had told him was the truth,
- “I don’t see why our relationship is any of your business” is the first thing that Yoongi says to Jimin. Namjoon Cringes, and as first or even second impressions go- it’s certainly not the best, but it could be worse.
- But by the end of the dinner Jimin finds himself giggling at Yoongi’s gummy smile and loving how animatedly he talks about his work. He’s a sound producer- which was originally how he met Hoseok- who was helping to teach an upcoming idol while Yoongi was assisting producing on a music video.
- Jimin struggles to understand their dynamic, because from what he can tell Yoongi’s a little more subdued than Hoseok is and even Namjoon, though the way that Yoongi’s dark eyes flash at Hoseok tells Jimin that the smallest alpha certainly isn’t submissive in any way, physically, or otherwise.
- “I'm glad that Hoseok has a friend like you.” Yoongi relents at the end of the night, “a lot of ours weren’t as accepting when we first came out” Jimin just nods and blushes at Yoongi’s praise. Loving it a little too much when the quiet alpha gives Jimin his full attention.
- “Why do you have to have cute friends” Yoongi deadpans later when the three of them get to their apartment. “That’s what I said!” Namjoon complains.
- “I know! and Jiminie’s so kind. You should see him with the child classes and all the little kids, yesterday of the girls in the ballerina class skinned her knee on the way inside and Jimin actually kissed her booboo and carried her into the classroom, I swear every person within a mile radius swooned.”
- Hoseok brings Jimin around for dinner for the first time 6 months after he officially starts working for him, cooking stirfry and dancing to ugly pop music in the soft yet modern kitchen in the alpha’s massive apartment.
- They’ve lived in it for the last year or so, and despite the fact that it is full of modern edges, it somehow manages to still feel homy,
- The kitchen is painted a soft grey-blue color that contrasts nicely with the white countertops, white tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. The living room is comfy and cosy with a couch, a few plants, television, and a view that must have cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
- They’res a small balcony that Jimin immediately falls in love with. It’s not too large, barely enough for the small glass table and a recliner with a cushion on it that’s pushed against a wall next to an ashtray
- Jimin asks Hoseok who smokes and he smiles abashedly and says that he and Yoongi do. Jimin crosses his arms at this and looks absolutely adorable when he levels Hoseok with a disapproving look. “I've been trying to quit” Hoseok justifies it because he really only smokes when he’s stressed and it’s really bad for his stamina dancing.  Namjoon had been getting on him and Yoongi about their health.
- And it feels good, so good to have Jimin there, even when Namjoon comes sauntering in and sweeps Hoseok up in a jerky and incorrect waltz, and spins hoseok silly
- That night jimin gushes to you over their apartment when you come home, he even piles into your bed in his pyjama’s as he prattles on and on to you about the view, their balcony and how fucking rich Hoseok was
- Not that Jimin hadn’t noticed Hoseok’s fine choice of clothing, but he wasn’t prepared for Hoseok to be that well off.  It makes your own bohemian apartment look shabby. But the two of you just end up making jokes about the cracks in your ceiling and the little bit of mold in your bathroom.
- Yoongi comes in late one movie night and stretches across both Hoseok’s and Jimin’s laps, yawning and groaning with how tired he is and doesn't move until Hoseok pushes him onto the floor. “You brat! Now I won’t give you any of the ice cream I brought home.”
- “But you’ll give me some won’t you?” Jimin pouts, giving Yoongi his best puppy dog eyes as Hoseok starts doing aegyo behind him, making Yoongi flus and shy away. a minute later he comes back with a carton of Neapolitan ice cream along with 3 separate spoons. (Jimin finishes the strawberry, Hoseok the vanilla, and Yoongi devours the chocolate.)
- Really, it only takes a few weeks for Jimin to start to realize that he’s starting to like Hoseok, Namjoon and Yoongi as a little more than  friends.
- when a rut hits Namjoon “like a freight train” (Hoseok’s words) and it’s Yoongi who answers the phone when Jimin calls, Jimin thoughtlessly asks if he could bring over anything,
- Yoongi groans, “um Jiminie- I think that’s not a good idea because you know…” and Jimin berates himself for being so stupid when he realizes oh yeah right, I'm an omega and I would probably make Namjoon go crazy if I even went near the apartment right now.
- Jimin teases Hoseok when he comes back for how he’s walking funny and Hoseok jabs back “oh don’t pretend you wouldn’t love to be in my position.” and Jimin has to turn away as he realizes that yes- he would like to be pinned under the soft-spoken but dominant Namjoon. To be at the mercy of the snap of those powerful hips would be an absolutely lovely way to help a friend out.
- And Hoseok smirks as he realizes that Jimin’s probably imagining it. And loves how the flustered omega stirs up something it in the pit of his stomach that feels an offal lot like arousal.
- As usual- the Intimacy sneaks up on Jimin.
- Namjoon talks to Jimin for a full hour on the phone one day when he calls the office and Jimin answers, something that’s repeated in the days too come (though never for as long as the first time- Jimin always asks about his day and Namjoon, in turn, enquires about Jimin’s which eventually devolves into jokes or curious questions and invitations to go to new restaurants.
- Jimin falls asleep one night on Hoseok’s shoulder in the back of Yoongi’s car when the elder picks them up when it’s thunder storming too hard to make the walk home.  Yoongi smiles as he looks in the mirror and finds Hoseok running a careful hand gently through Jimin’s locks.
- Yoongi composes a piano piece for Jimin’s intermediate interpretive class, and Yoongi finds Jimin’s dancing just as magnetic as Hoseok’s.
- There are more quiet dinners on the floor of the practice room as hoseok traces shapes on Jimin’s arms or on his crossed knees and listens to the omega talk about his life, about the leaky faucet in his apartment
- Namjoon turns up a few days later on Jimin’s off day lugging a bag of tools telling jimin how much working with his hands relaxes him when Jimin tries to decline his help at fixing your sink.
- Jimin talks endlessly about you, his best friend, Hoseok would hear about this stranger for hours as long as he could hear Jimin talk like that- happy and with a light in his eyes that Hoseok wanted to keep there forever. If Jimin talks about you that way, then he wants to meet you for real eventually, instead of just seeing you briefly when you come by to walk home with Jimin a few times.
- Jimin comes over to make soup when Hoseok falls sick, helping Yoongi cook (though Jimin does most of the work while Yoongi sits against the counter and lets Jimin talk away, even sharing a bowl of it when Jimin finishes it, and tries to take it into Hobi only to find that he’s fallen far asleep.
- It takes another few weeks for Jimin to realize that Hoseok isn’t the only one who’s been courting him, they all have; with Namjoon bringing Jimin dinner as often as he brings in for Hoseok, and with Yoongi inviting him to come to his studio and Hoseok always touching Jimin some place or running his fingers through the youngers soft hair.
- Jimin blushes when he realizes, 3 older, incredibly successful, and attractive alpha’s all vying for his affection and attention. It makes him feel warm and wanted and strange. Strange but good.
- Good enough that he starts reaching out too hold Yoongi’s strong and lithe hand when he walks Jimin home one day, making the black haired alpha blush and stumble. and that makes Jimin bold.
- Bold enough that he shows up at Namjoon’s office with lunch and a handwritten note, leaving it when he finds out Namjoon’s in a meeting.
~  Eat up, Joonie, good luck at court this afternoon ♡ Jimin xoxo , (he couldn’t resist adding the hearts). Namjoon almost chokes on his first bite when he sees the xoxo.
- Bold enough that when Hoseok’s guiding his hips through a popping body role Jimin tilts his head and lets his mouth brush against Hoseok’s jaw.
- Which leads to a passionate makeout session with Jimin’s back pinned against the windows, and his sanity at the mercy of Hoseok’s patient mouth that seemed determined to pry Jimin’s self control apart as slowly as possible.
- The alpha’s make sure to talk it through thoroughly before they decide what to do about the omega which has wormed his way into each of their hearts.
- Which leads to a dinner involving, 3 alpha’s sitting Jimin down in a public location and inviting him into their relationship. And in true Jimin fashion, he asks them to give him some time to think it through- and too ask you about what he should do.
- He’s in a peculiar position, asking the person who he’s loved since forever if he should agree to be in a polyamorous relationship. And at first you seem a little unsure, but as Jimin tells you more and more about the 3 of them you start to nod and look more enthused, eventually giving him a small (but sad) and tell him to go through with it.
- Maybe if you couldn't give him the time and love that he needs and deserves, they could, and then you wouldn’t feel so guilty. And you had no reason to stop him from being happy, even if after he turns in for the night you wipe away tears and wrap yourself up tightly in a blanket that smells of him, your heart hurting and beating longingly.
- Is it bad that Jimin almost wanted you to tell him not too- that he wanted you to be angry or upset that he wanted to be with someone else? That he wanted you to say that you would break up with Jackson if only to be with him?
- Jimin lies awake in bed that night thinking about it, and hears with a thud and a stutter, someone unlocking your front door. It’s your boyfriend he realizes- he’s the only one else who has a key, and in the quiet of your apartment he can hear his quiet voice.
- “I think my ruts about to start I just- are you okay I can always-“ and then something cutting him off, and a low moan, and as always, the sound of you so viscerally and physically loving someone else breaks his heart just a little bit. And that’s when he decides that he can't keep living like this.
- He needs to move on.
- He goes into the bathroom in his room, closes the door to mask the sound, and makes the call to Hoseok’s phone.
- “Hyung” he says, when Hoseok picks up, “Jiminie” he says breathlessly, Jimin can tell he’s smiling through the other line.
- “I’d really like to see you- Namjoonie and Yoongi too” Jimin pauses, looking at himself in the mirror swallowing back his emotions as best he can, “when can I- when can we-”
- “Why don’t you come over baby?”
